Bright descriptions and examples show that the empty breath leads to a state of not-knowing. In this state, where we’re indifferent to separation, suffering vanishes

All our experiences of something outside us seem to attest to an external world. Yet the empty breath reveals that what we experience as something is nothing. This revelation brings the bliss of nothing, which eventually reveals that there is neither something nor nothing because Oneness is formless and therefore endless. [Photo: Alexius]

The nothingness of the empty breath makes you indifferent
When Alexius connects with the empty breath, he often arrives in its speedy, chaotic engine through inward-facing consciousness. Yet, no matter how he feels it, the empty breath always brings indifference. However, that’s hardly a feeling, as nothing seems to make a difference.

Many people seek approval via social interactions in the physical, astral, or digital world. Such dependence may feel restrictive and create a craving for freedom. By contrast, the empty breath needs no affirmation. Remaining empty, its nothingness lets you rest in the bliss of nothing, free from the emotional prison of seeking approval.

When connected with the empty breath, we can’t help but smile, indifferent to appearing as someone who seems to be and have something.
The empty breath is not something
While you can recreate a romantic ambience with a candlelit dinner, soft music, and glasses of wine, you can’t fabricate the connection with the empty breath. You experience it when you are not busy trying to construct a specific feeling and instead use your frantic energy to spark a take-off into the empty breath.

There are several ways to feel substantial. But there is no way to feel the empty breath except by, for a moment, not feeling substantial.
∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞
The less you believe you are substantial, the more you sense the non-rhythmic, transparent energy of the empty breath’s engine. See Duality Hack #9.4.

You may feel constrained when connected with the empty breath. However, this feeling is a projection that arises when you suppress specific emotions to maintain a unique self, leaving you confined by your self-image.

Although the empty breath, theoretically speaking, should produce a constant rhythm of expansion and contraction in the body, your experience of it may be that it is inconsistent. And you’re right. It does not care about consistency – only those insisting on being unique need coherence to prove their uniqueness.

The empty breath, devoid of personality and personal articulation, is adaptable. It adjusts to your self-perception, so its regular flow seems weaker when you feel unwell or fear the end is near.

The empty breath is the bliss of nothing
You cannot rest in the bliss of nothing if you expect something from the empty breath, because the bliss of nothing arises from the absence of something.

Experiencing the empty breath is like unwrapping new gifts one by one. Because you do not know what comes next, each moment feels like an adventure.

It’s easy not to think about something specific during Nordic Walking, thereby provoking a take-off into the empty breath. Conversely, clinging to specific thought constructions may trigger your defence mechanisms against the bliss of nothing. But this does not mean you must suppress those defence mechanisms to get the bliss of nothing. On the contrary, if you don’t suppress their natural energy, it sparks a take-off into the empty breath.
∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞
As connection with the empty breath makes you indifferent to apparent differences in your experiences, there is nothing to be excited about. Because this indifference exposes the emptiness of your experiences, you enter the bliss of nothing.
∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞
The nature of the empty breath is not to bestow happiness but indifference. This frees you from the suffering that comes from chasing after something, letting you rest in the bliss of nothing.
Experiencing the empty breath makes you indifferent
You may not always see the empty breath as a dear friend because it doesn’t help you attain something. Instead, it helps you realise that something is nothing, so you experience the bliss of nothing, regardless of achievement.

The empty breath makes you indifferent to problems. However, that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t take care of your body and have it checked by a qualified healthcare professional from time to time. You also take your car to a garage for a check-up even though it’s not you

When connected with the empty breath, what you receive from the world psychologically is always the same. This is because you get what you give psychologically: the indifference of the empty breath.

Epilogue
In Alexius’ Duality Hacks, you’ve probably read that because it takes more than one to experience something, and there’s no more than that which is One, all experiences are fictional. This, of course, also applies to the experience of the empty breath.
However, because this experience is grounded in an archetypal image of a never-ending rhythmic flow, it gradually makes you indifferent to experiencing something. Consequently, it no longer appears to hide that there is no more than that which is One, formless and endless.
