Psychological issues are too airy to be in the body

The psychological sphere and the physical world

The brain creates the psychological sphere, the body, and the material world. But you do not experience them there – like you do not drive a car where it is made. The body is experienced as a substantial entity in a material world outside it. Where the psychological zone is experienced is more problematic because most people try to integrate it with the body.

But that is different from how the brain has set it up. Like breathing in and out, which are interdependent and not combinable, psychological and physical matters are paired but not mixable.

Looking for a psychological emotion in the body is a waste of time. The body is solely physical and, thus, without anything psychological or spiritual. You could also say that the body is visible, and non-physical issues are invisible, so they are not combinable.

Therefore, if you have projected problematic emotional issues onto the body to hide them from your awareness, you better recognise that your emotional problems are in the psychological sphere and nowhere else. Facing them there, they gently open up and reveal they are not singular but twofold. Hence, there is no specific psychological issue to bother you.

Non-duality is formless, thus endless, so the experience of duality is fantasy. Consequently, everything experienced, whether psychological or physical, is imaginative and, therefore, non-material. However, Alexius’ Duality Hacks function within the context of duality, where opposing elements define an experience. Consequently, the physical world experience is labelled tangible, and the psychological one intangible, although both are immaterial.

The way of duality

In Alexius’ Duality Hacks, the psychological area, sphere or zone is also called the mental area, sphere or zone. It is very airy, thus anywhere but in material things. So, becoming aware of the psychological issues you have projected onto the solidness of your body or others is not done by facing them in the flesh but in the non-material mental sphere.

Unlike when you imagine combining it with the body, a psychological feeling is transparent. Thus, one glance at it is enough to make it vanish and reveal its opposite. For example, one look at hate replaces it with love, which, when looked at, replaces hatred. And so on.

That is the way of duality. Every experience comes in pairs of opposing elements. They can neither be united nor separated because they depend on each other to be defined, like two sides of a coin. Therefore, if you mess with the interaction of the opposing elements in the duality pairs, you do not experience duality as twofold, thus feeling incomplete. In contrast, you feel complete when in sync with the duality pairs’ interaction. In other words, if you want to feel whole in a world of duality, you do not hold onto specific thoughts or feelings by projecting their counterparts onto your body or others but join their interaction.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

If you do not feel complete, you have broken one or more duality pairs. However, that is impossible because you can only experience a world of duality via contrasts. In other words, feeling incomplete is like having vertigo. See Duality Hack #8.2. It is not a matter of the world’s appearance but how you sense it psychologically. Therefore, you do not solve feeling incomplete by correcting something in your body or the world but by perceiving the feeling as ‘it is what it is’ in the psychological zone. Since that reveals it is not singular but twofold, you feel as incomplete as complete, thus psychologically whole.

Polarity sets you free

To get into the duality flow, you do not use the perception ‘it is what it is’ on something you see but on your reaction. See Duality Hack #8.4. That reveals your response is in the mental zone and not singular but twofold. Hence, you are in the duality flow.

But suppose what you see triggers feelings you previously projected onto the body. In that case, your response is a strange mix of a physical disorder and a diffuse sense of disorientation, unaware the latter comes from the psychological sphere. However, when you perceive your reaction to this combo as ‘it is what it is,’ you feel your response is twofold. Hence, since a specific response does not entrap you, you can deal with the physical symptom materially and the diffuse one psychologically.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

If you project a particular psychological issue, for example, hate, onto your body, it seems removed from your awareness. However, since its complementary part, love, is left alone in the psychological zone, it cannot interact with hate and be outlined as love. Consequently, the psychological sphere seems foggy. And the vulnerable part of the body, where you have dumped your hatred, appears sealed by something unknown.

That is until you do not hide hate in your body, thus being aware of it in the psychological sphere. Therefore, since the body does not have to defend itself against your mental projection onto it, it is free to deal with itself materially. And hate can collaborate with love, so you have a genuine love affair with life.

A psychosomatic disorder is solely psychological

The paradox in trying to heal a psychosomatic disorder is that it may reinforce the psychological fear of the physical symptoms. Thus enhancing the impression that mental and physical issues are linked and result in a psychosomatic illness.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

When a physical symptom of illness in the body triggers a psychological memory of endangerment, and you imagine them linked, the physical symptom is perceived to cause a threat. Hence, a fusion of physical and psychological reality seems established. However, the body is material, thus unable to integrate non-material issues except in fantasy. Therefore, to heal the psychosomatic disorder, you must look where the fantasy is made, namely in the psychological zone.

Everything in the psychological sphere is transient. Fantasies are fleeting until you hold onto them by imagining they are part of the body, thus appearing solid and lasting. Thankfully, looking at this combo in the psychological sphere is enough to undo the imaginary link between physical and non-physical issues.

Next, you face the feeling of endangerment in the psychological zone, seeing it is coupled with protection. Since these opposites constantly interact, endangerment does not appear lasting. Consequently, you no longer interpret it as part of a physical problem. Hence, the body’s biological system is free to deal with the physical symptoms materially.

To sum up, when you appear sick, and your concern about the physical symptom triggers a past sense of danger that you interpret as caused by the present physical symptom, you invent a psychosomatic disorder. However, this combo is only in the psychological zone since the body cannot be fused with non-physical issues. Therefore, one look in the psychological sphere exposes the supposed link as fake.

You are loved as you are

The special self does not feel its body as it is because, in the psychological zone, it sees it as a means to dump thoughts and feelings it does not like or enhance those it favours. This misconception makes the psychological sphere foggy. But since the special self blames the body for that, the special self does not realise it has made up its psychosomatic problems in the psychological sphere. Instead, it tries to solve it in the body via yoga or other non-physical concepts, promising a transformation it never gets. Read about the special self in Duality Hack #5.1-6.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

In the psychological sphere, you soon learn you do not need to change. You are loved as you are because the brain creates you and loves you as invented. Hence, the body relaxes. However, since it only understands material matters, its relaxation is not caused by love but because when you feel wanted, you do not project unwanted feelings onto the body.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The basic self can change anything but its perception. So, regardless of how it sees the material world, it continues its course. And so does the basic self because the brain has only created one self. And there is no other self than the one created by the brain.

But the basic self can perceive itself as special and believe it has changed. Nevertheless, the brain loves the basic self regardless of how it perceives itself. However, it can be challenging to feel this love when you view yourself as something other than the basic self.

No worries. It is always possible to correct your perception. Just perceive your supposed specialness as ‘it is what it is.’ That reveals your specialness is twofold, not specific and therefore not special. Hence, you are basic, thus feeling loved and accepted as you are.
