Alexius talks about when he welcomed the Enlightenment of that which is one, erasing all his memories of more than one. Thus, nothing seemed to obscure that which is One.

Metaphorically, glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One is like a ride in a fairground carousel. When the carousel moves so fast that you give up interpreting the glimpses as different, you enter the Enlightenment of that which is One. It wipes out your consciousness, so nobody experiences something hiding that which is One. Therefore, Alexius does not talk about the Enlightenment of that which is One from his experience but from a distant sense of nothing falling into that which is One.

Reading his description, you may get the impression that the Enlightenment of that which is One is a series of events unfolding in linear time. On the contrary, it is one perpetual present, thus indescribable in a world of linear time..

To welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One

When Alexius was 22 years old, he welcomed the Enlightenment of that which is One after intensely having worked as a taxi driver for about 15 hours. Somehow, the sum of the images from driving back and forth in the city continually looking for customers gradually turned into something less definable, more blurry. 

Still in that haziness, Alexius forgot to establish a focused image of himself when he came home early in the morning. Thus, unaware of what and where he was, a spiralling psychedelic light show coming from nowhere specific was all he was aware of.

Without any transition, a black gap with no fixed location or form, looking like a horse head or an embryo, popped out of the psychedelic light show. Then, an utterly colourless light – brighter than the coloured light outside the black gap – formed a ring with no defined boundary inside the black gap’s edges. Simultaneously, a colourless light blasted out of the hole.

The light was everywhere and nowhere and absorbed everything. Without warning, it knocked out Alexius’ source code as a definitive individual experiencing specific things. Hence, the light could pull Alexius’ nothingness through the seemingly impenetrable black gap. On the other side, there was neither darkness nor light but a never-ending void of emptiness. Weightlessly, Alexius’ nothingness kept falling through it as if it would never end, and yet, all at once, nothing gracefully fell into the formlessness of oneness. 

As previously told, it did not happen step by step but in one perpetual present. Furthermore, Alexius did not enter oneness because he never existed as someone separated from it since oneness is formless, thus endless. That does not mean oneness is enormous. On the contrary, it takes up no space because it is sizeless. Therefore, it is not a big void filled with something but simply that which is One.

The Enlightenment of that which is One is unexplainable

When Alexius welcomed the Enlightenment of that which is One, he was not aware of doing that. Actually, he had never heard of Enlightenment or a black hole. But when he much later saw pictures of black holes in the universe, it was very familiar. However, calling a black hole a path into oneness is a metaphor because it has neither an entrance nor an exit. After all, oneness is formless, hence without inside and outside.

Of course, you do not have to drive a taxi all night to be so exhausted that you forget to uphold your story about being someone, thus entering the Enlightenment of that which is One. Whatever way you lose focus or stop defining and labelling what and where you appear will do.

The brain is not an enemy that prevents you from doing that. It is a friend who does what you have asked it to do, namely to hide there is no more than that which is One by making experiences of a world with more than one. So, if you want the Enlightenment of that which is One to undo the brain’s experiences, you acknowledge you were wrong when you asked the brain to hide oneness.
