‘A state of not-knowing’ and its after-effect

Nothing twisted into something

The brain does not need your eyes to be open to produce vivid images of something that appears outside you. Nor does it require you to be sexually stimulated by something physical to produce orgasms in your dreams. That is because experiences are constructions of thoughts, the brain fabricates from nothing to make them look like something.

Consequently, as mentioned in Duality Hack #1.2, the brain does not differentiate between the experiences you perceive as yours or others, real or imagined, authentic or fake, fabricated or factual, physical or spiritual. Actually, the brain fabricates them all in one higgledy-piggledy by the same organ.

The empty breath exposes something as nothing

The fastest way to expose the brain’s scam is to join the empty breath. You ignite a take-off into it by not organising thoughts and feelings into something but instead stepping into their unbound energy.

That does not make you deeper, higher, purer, balanced or something else. Being something is part of the brain’s fantasy of nothing looking like something. Thankfully, the empty breath is unprocessed by the brain, thus not part of something but the nothingness from which the brain thinks up its experiences of something. 

Therefore, since the empty breath does not give you anything but nothing, you enter a state of not-knowing. In that state, you do not pick up on the brain’s scam of you as someone substantial in a tangible world. Instead, you get the bliss of nothing.

A state of not-knowing

The brain has used one second to twist nothing into your present experience of being someone in a world of something. Ergo, you get to your experience’s origin of nothing by going back one second. In the emptiness, you meet the empty breath, which is unprocessed by the brain. When you connect with it, you enter a state of not-knowing.

Since you do not know a particular place to go or someone special to meet, you may feel stuck inside an unbreakable armour of loneliness until you accept that your conditioned ideas about something are gone. Thus, free in the bliss of nothing, you fall into the body of something. However, you neither feel the body physically nor as integrated with higher energies because you are taking a break from labelling experiences as something. Please notice that this does not mean there are no thoughts and feelings but that nobody relates to them as something.

That is why, in a state of not-knowing, you are unaware of being nobody until you return to the conscious experience of being somebody, and memories of being nobody pop up.

Hence everything in Alexius’ Duality Hacks about a state of not-knowing rests on Alexius’ personal memories, thus personal, although a state of not-knowing is impersonal. Consequently, you may recall a state of not-knowing differently – like two persons often describing the same tea differently.

How long does a state of not-knowing last

If you do not constantly react to the brain’s experiences of something, the brain cannot establish itself as something, so it falls apart. Therefore, if you remain in a state of not-knowing more than 20 minutes, 45 at most, you cannot return to the conscious experience of something.

Simply put, you must leave a state of not-knowing relatively quickly if you want to resume the experiences of something. Otherwise, the brain falls into a coma, and the Enlightenment of that which is One sets in, erasing all memories of something

Departing a state of not-knowing

There is no need to worry about accidentally staying too long in a state of not-knowing, thus having the consciousness erased by the Enlightenment of that which is One. Hardly anybody comes to the point where the brain stops making experiences where they seem to be conscious of something.

Most wish to make a difference. So, when the brain promises that they will become somebody important who influences others with something special, they forget the bliss of nothing. Besides, should you reach the point of no return, fear of termination is enough to reboot the brain. Hence, you are back having experiences of being someone in a world of something.

So, you most likely leave a state of not-knowing a long time before the brain falls apart. And since you return to the consciousness of being someone with the slate wiped clean, you do not expect anything to turn out in a specific way. Ergo, you happily serve the brain, thus everybody, because the brain has no personal preferences.

Being a servant feels so satisfying that you automatically join the duality flow (Duality Hack #8.1-9). Sometimes, you take a break from duality by entering a state of not-knowing, which is next to you when you live to serve. The same applies to the Enlightenment of that which is One.

Glimpses of Enlightenment in a state of not-knowing

In a state of not-knowing, you may have glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One. However, like a movie trailer, which is not the movie but samples of it, the glimpses are not the Enlightenment of that which is One.  

You cannot experience the Enlightenment of that which is One because it requires more than one to be aware of something. Nevertheless, you can see, hear, feel or taste its glimpses. Since you only experience them with the inward-facing senses, they are like augmented reality layered on top of the world of the outward-facing senses. See Duality Hack #3.3.

In other words, visual glimpses of Enlightenment do not make a room lighter. On the contrary, they make it harder to see it. And celestial music with the most subtle polyphony bell-like sounds does not blend with mundane sounds. That is why you better block out glimpses of Enlightenment when doing something in the world of the outward-facing senses that requires your full attention.

You start from the ground up after a state of not-knowing

As already said, you must leave a state of not-knowing after 20 minutes, 45 at most, if you want to return to the conscious experience of being somebody. The return feels like you start from the ground up, stretching like a cat with no purpose other than fine-tuning the body for a world of something.

Although that is not done systemically with coordinated movements, breathing, or meditation, some assume that if they replicate those slow movements in a focused mode, a la Tai Chi, they magically enter a higher state of being. However, a state of not-knowing does not arise from focusing but from defocusing, nor is it higher.

In the after-effect of a state of not-knowing, everything is effortless

While the after-effect of a state of not knowing lasts – from seconds to many years – your response to the brain’s duality experiences is twofold by default. Thus, in sync with the brain’s duality fantasy, you feel like you are happily sleepwalking until you insist on having a singular reaction to duality. Then, you feel wrong because all experiences come in pairs in a world of duality. See Duality Hack # 8.9.

In other words, being in sync with the brain’s duality fantasy is effortless, whereas being out of sync is stressful. Fortunately, unedited stress ignites a take-off into the empty breath that wipes the slate clean. Hence, you again have an effortless life as someone in the brain’s duality fantasy.

In a state of not-knowing, the empty breath syncs being nobody with being somebody, so you can move around in nothing as if it is something. The empty breath also does that in the after-effect of a state of not-knowing because it never forgets you. But, of course, the ratio is different in the after-effect. Therefore, the nothingness is forgotten when you need to drive a car, for example, but highlighted when asleep. In short, in a state of not-knowing, you are mainly nobody and, in the after-effect, somebody.

Somebody versus nobody versus oneness

You do not sense the transition from a state of not-knowing to the awareness of being someone because nobody was in a state of not-knowing. Nor do you notice that the bliss of nothing has wiped the slate clean. However, your psychological projections on the body and the world have been lifted, so the body feels light, and you have no need to inflict it with singular opinions or feelings.

That does not necessarily mean it always is like that. Your conditioned reactions may be so deeply rooted that you return to a familiar response pattern. Luckily, a quick trip to a state of not-knowing allows you to start over again with a clean slate.

Ways to enter a state of not-knowing

All Alexius’ Duality Hacks, except the Enlightenment of that which is One, eventually bring you into a state of not-knowing.

When you feel speedy and restless, you go with the speed to ignite a take-off into the empty breath, as in Duality Hack #9.1-3. But if you feel tired, pretending to be that is probably a better choice because you are not what you pretend to be (Duality Hack #2.1-5).

If you tend to blame the world for everything unpleasant, perceiving troubles as symbols of oneness could be the hack to apply (Duality Hack #3.1-8). But being Alone Together is also an excellent hack for that (Duality Hack #12.1-4). 

Be aware that Alexius’ Duality Hacks do not aim to heal the body but the sick belief that you are in it. That said, the more this belief is healed, the more the body is freed from your psychological dominance. Hence, the biological system can deal with the body materially. See Duality Hack #7.1-5.

Sometimes, you can help kickstart the system. For example, nootropics boost the brain, Blackroll relaxes the muscles, weightlifting tones them, and far-infrared heating pads with PEMF provide deep bodily relaxation. PEMF devices emit magnetic fields nearly identical to the frequencies created by the body’s cells, organs, bones, and tissues. Hence, the body’s polarity is restored and, therefore, the natural ability to be with the duality flow (Duality Hack #8.9).
