In a World of Duality, Wholeness is the Constant Interplay of Opposites

Our sense of self, far from being a creation of a divine entity or higher consciousness, is solely the product of our brain. To disregard this is to dismiss ourselves. Hence, feeling alienated, we can’t appreciate that the brain is constantly producing experiences that make us feel loved for what we are.
We often try to compensate for not feeling loved by doing what we perceive as ‘the right thing’. This could be anything from helping a friend in need to making a difficult decision at work.

Yet, the notion of ‘the right thing’ is not a universally accepted action, but a concept open to various interpretations. This complexity leads to further speculation, which involves overthinking or second-guessing our actions. Hence, since this involves editing the brain’s experiences, we are thwarting the brain’s love.

The constant interplay of opposites makes us feel loved

As the brain orchestrates our experiences, aligning with it instead of our single-minded ideas of fairness, we naturally do what’s right, leading to a sense of love that is not romantic, but a liberating force. It frees us from the constraints of singular reactions.

Thus, we naturally have twofold reactions to the experiences the brain produces, utilising the constant interplay of opposites to shape a world of duality. This interplay, the duality flow, can consist of opposites such as joy and sorrow, success and failure, love and rejection. They collaborate to create a twofold view, so we feel at home in a world of duality.

Accepting the duality flow, we see that having a single perspective does not make us feel loved. Accepting the duality flow, we see that having a single perspective does not make us feel loved. It is the continuous interplay of opposites that brings us fulfilment, and hence, love. The beauty of this is that the duality flow, like a river, rushes back to its source, non-duality, so we have a lovely journey home.

In Duality Hack #8.7, we delve into the duality flow.
