Something is nothing

The empty breath is not about getting healthier, making more money, love, success, or anything else, but realising that what you appear to be and have is nothing. Then, you do not seem to hide the formlessness of oneness

It is impossible to leave oneness since it is formless, thus endless. Yet, it appears possible to imagine not being One but a separate being in a world with more than one. If so, you get a life jacket from oneness: the empty breath.

What you see on a computer screen is comparable to a mirage. There is nothing there but zeros and ones combined by an app, also made of zeros and ones, to look like something.

In this context, the app called the brain renders the appearance of you as someone tangible in a world of something from nothing. But the empty breath, which is nothing unprocessed by the brain, is unaware that you choose to believe the brain’s fantasy of something is real.

All the empty breath knows is that what is not oneness is non-existent. Hence, it breathes emptiness into your belief in something to expose it as nothing. Ergo, eventually, there is not something to hide that oneness is all there is.

Something is full of problems, whereas nothing is full of bliss

The empty breath is nothing, thus not seeing something, so it is not bothered by your fantasies of something. Besides, that is why it is easy to perceive every experience of something as nothing when connected with the empty breath. Of course, this does not mean you do not take care of a broken leg, for example. But since you see it as nothing, you do not add worries to the fractured leg.

Getting the bliss of nothing is straightforward. All you need is not to perceive experiences as something.

The empty breath does not give you something. Hence, you leave the frustration of something and enter the bliss of nothing.

The bliss of nothing, revealing something as nothing

Since you perceive experiences based on a remix of memories, adjusted every time you recall them to boost your story of being something special, your perception does not match others’ views of the same events. 

Hence, you conclude something is wrong in you or others and start to correct what you judge as incorrect. The more you appear successful in doing this, the more it seems your story proves your points of view are correct. But your fiction is as empty as a dream in which you experience nothing as something.

Fortunately, the empty breath exposes that, so instead of being in the frustration of something, you are in the bliss of nothing when you connect with it. Hence, you do not make up stories of you being something special.

The function of the empty breath is not to reveal oneness but to expose that what you see is nothing, so you do not interpret your experiences as something. You can compare it to not perceiving the world in a dream as something. Then, it does not seem to hide that you are in bed. Of course, you could contemplate not being in a world of something. But it often becomes a joyless debate instead of having the bliss of nothing revealing something as nothing.

Igniting a take-off into the empty breath

Igniting a take-off into the empty breath is no different from going with the flow of the genitals – no thinking is needed. However, being horny enhance the belief in being someone definitive, whereas the empty breath undoes it.

That is not to say that you must avoid sex. On the contrary, an orgasm ignites a take-off into the empty breath if you go with its intense energy. More about sex in  Duality Hack #1.11.

The brain’s experiences make us feel entertained by duality. However, suppose you interpret your reaction to the duality experiences per capitalism, socialism, spiritualism, or another conceptualised way of living that is not based on twofoldness. In that case, you do not feel entertained but frustrated.

Thankfully, if you do not suppress your disappointment, its unbound energy automatically ignites a take-off into the empty breath, wiping your slate clean. Therefore, since you are in sync with the brain’s duality experiences, you feel entertained by all of them.

Connecting with the empty breath does not require meditation or other techniques based on exclusion, restraint, or control. All you need to do is stand by your unwillingness to be inclusive. Then, the complex energy of your reluctance ignites a take-off into the empty breath.

Epilogue

As a teenager, Alexius devoted himself to the whereabouts of the empty breath every night. Thus, he fell asleep in the bliss of nothing. However, since others were only interested in something, the bliss of nothing seemed foolish to bring about.

So, Alexius did not talk about it until he started writing Alexius’ Duality Hacks in 2012. But it was not until writing Duality Hack #9.1-10 in 2018 that he named the gate to the bliss of nothing: the empty breath.
