Notes on how to perceive

When you perceive your reaction to an experience as ‘it is what it is,’ you are in sync with the brain’s script. But if you start analysing your response and conclude, ‘I know what it is,’ you are out of sync. You cannot know anything because you do not know who you are and never will since you are created and managed by the brain. Nor can you see what is real because the brain’s creations are fictional.

Being in sync with the brain’s script feels like using the right tools for an assignment.

Your experiences have no meaning, nor are they yours. It is an illusion manufactured by the brain. It thinks up experiences that make you appear as someone who sees, hears, feels, and tastes something outside you. Making you believe the experiences are real is easy because if you do not believe it, it is evident that what and where you appear is the brain’s fantasy.

Every effort to improve yourself is based on the belief that you are wrong. Therefore, doing something about it enhances that belief, thus suffering. But it suits you because it manifests you as something instead of nothing.

You do not have to apply the exact phrases Alexius’ Duality Hacks use to feel the twofoldness of duality, deny it, or take a break. Instead of perceiving your reaction to something as ‘It is what it is,’ you could perceive it as ‘shit happens,’ or ‘so what.’ As long as the essence is alike, the perception works the same. That said, the perception of I know what it is’ only works in the context of believing in being independent of the brain. In other words, it does not work because you depend on the brain’s script regardless of beliefs.

Saying, ‘dunno what it is,’ you still experience what and where the brain has planned. However, you do not perceive the experience as something, so you are in the bliss of nothing. Read about these perceptions in Duality Hack # 6.5.

To uphold the perception that ‘I know what it is,’ you must suppress your actual response to an experience. Still, it never works as intended because you are not all-knowing. The two other perceptions do not involve denial. On the contrary, if you deny your response to something, you cannot perceive it as ‘it is what it is’ or ‘dunno what it is.’ However, those perceptions do not work when you use them to get something done and over with.

Fortunately, you can quickly solve that by perceiving the response to your plan as ‘it is what it is.’ That flushes out any idea of achieving something specific. If you perceive your response as ‘dunno what it is,’ there is not something to accomplish. Hence, you are in the bliss of nothing.

To perceive anything as ‘I know what it is’ is as mistaken as thinking you know where you are in a dream. You are not there but in your bed.

You feel fulfilled when acknowledging the dynamic interaction between opposites, such as love and hate. However, since the interplay takes away the sense of control, many people choose to separate love and hate by projecting romanticised love onto one person and iron-fisted hatred onto another. But insisting on this division, they miss the joy of togetherness. It does not come from a singular but twofold approach.

Fortunately, they can easily correct that by perceiving the meaning they have assigned to love or hatred as ‘it is what it is.’ For example, if they have classified hate as a weakness, it is revealed to be paired with strength. Hence, you get the revitalisation of togetherness and the joy of relating to others in a non-conditioned way.

If you have allergies, you can alleviate the symptoms with air purifiers, pills, sprays, and drops. However, you may still feel depressed. No worries. Perceiving your depressed reaction to your allergies as ‘it is what it is,’ you see it interact with joy to vitalise you with the duality flow. Although it is not a miracle cure for allergies, they do not seem heavy in the duality flow.

Those who like to talk about their emotions have not felt them because they are unveiled as nothing if you feel them wholly. Hence, there are no feelings to talk about.

A feeling can only be known when explained. But since that makes it mental, you feel benumbed when claiming, ‘I know what it is.’ To compensate for that, you indulge in stories of improving your relationships.

You must judge something as inharmonious to know that you experience something else as harmonious. However, since most people exclude the inharmonious, they have nothing to define the harmonious experience. Consequently, what they get is an intellectual idea about harmony.

Many people believe they must avoid negativity to be healed. However, healing stones, like Amethyst, heal by emitting negative ions, producing biochemical reactions that create positive vibes/moods and relieve stress. And most infrared heating pads heal via negative ion generation. In other words, negativity can be very beneficial.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Since your reaction to the internal comments about the world generally is singular and therefore cut off from its complementary part, you appear to judge yourself and others as incomplete. Fortunately, you can undo this limitation by perceiving your present reaction to an internal comment as ‘it is what it is.’ That reveals your opinion is not singular but twofold. Whether you notice the elements of this polarity, you cannot help but laugh when you are in the interaction of opposites. Thus, like waves in the ocean, the interplay hastily but without haste washes away your narrow-minded opinion.

You wanted to escape non-duality to have more than one, so the brain helped you by creating a duality fantasy. In its fantasy world, every experience comes in pairs of opposing elements, so you always have more than one. However, now you want to escape the brain. Hence, you visualise singular feelings. For example, you suppress sadness to envision yourself as only happy. Or you use meditation to establish singularity, claiming you meditate to get to non-duality to hide your desire to be the master of the universe.

Non-duality is one perpetual present. In a world of duality, a state of not-knowing simulates it because nobody in that state perceives experiences to make a difference.

The purpose of Alexius’ Duality Hacks is not to explain the truth. Instead, it is to show there is nothing to explain because that requires more than one, and there is no more than that which is One.
