If you believe that you experience non-duality, you uphold the belief it is possible to be and have more than that which is One

Updated May 17, 2022

Often the excitement of daily life in a world of duality does not seem to be enough. Hence it is enhanced with memorable holidays or remarkable peak experiences at courses and seminars – or perhaps totally replaced by computer games or virtual reality glasses. This replicates the making of duality: the everlasting peace of non-duality was judged as bland and replaced by a fantasy of excitement in a world of duality. See hack #2.2 Peace of non-duality versus the excitement of duality. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

When used to the taste of Thai sauces reinforced with a flavour enhancer like MSG (see Wikipedia about MSG), the natural ones may seem tasteless. For example, a reviewer of a Thai sauce without a flavour enhancer complained that it did not taste like the real thing.

In reality, it is the other way around. The sauce with a flavour enhancement is fake, and the sauce without it is authentic. Likewise, the everlasting peace of non-duality is true. And the exciting experiences of duality are bogus because they never last.

But if you believe to be someone in a world of duality – and you do because otherwise, you would not be able to read this – you are more fascinated by the fleeting flavour of adventures than the constant taste of peace.

You live in a fantasy world if you believe to experience non-duality because it takes more than one to be aware of something and non-duality is that which is One.

No worries. It is not a problem that you fancy the flavour enhancer which seems to multiply oneness into a world where there seems to be more than one. See From non-duality to duality and back. Unlike food, which you, in the context of such a world, can jazz up with flavour enhancers, you cannot alter oneness because it requires more than one to make a change. Consequently, oneness can only be modified in a fantasy where there seems to be more than one.

Since there there is no more than that which is One, it only takes one to undo the fantasy of a world where there seems to be more than one.

However, no matter the number of appearances in such an imagination, in reality, there is no more than that which is One since it is formless and therefore endless. That is why there is nothing to realise in a world where there seems to be more than one other than it is make-believe. This is uncovered all by itself because everything imagined has an end. If you cannot wait for the fantasy to finish, apply one or more of Alexius´ Duality Hacks. They undo the belief that it is possible to be and have more than that which is One, while you have fun appearing to be in a world where there seems to be more than one.

This is not to say, Alexius’ Duality Hacks are more genuine than anything else in a world where there seems to be more than one. They are just as fake as everything else that calls for more than one. But since they do not claim to make a difference, they do not enhance the belief in separation. Thus, eventually, there does not appear to be more than that which is One.

The ins and outs of the inward-facing senses

Updated June 27, 2022

The empty breath is not a step to something better because it is a state of not knowing, and so the other duality hacks. Hence there is no way to know if they differ from each other or in any way overlap each other. No worries. There is nobody to care about that in a state of not-knowing. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

Alexius especially experiences the world of the inward-facing senses and its glimpses of Enlightenment before falling asleep. In this case, it is by giving the world of the outward-facing senses his minimum attention. During the day, while doing something, the outward-facing senses get more attention.

Before going to sleep, it often starts as a perfect moment induced by inclusiveness. See hack #3.1 Every moment is the perfect moment. From there, he is brought into a state of not-knowing where there are glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is one. He is not aware, though, how a perfect moment and a state of not-knowing differ, nor does he know how long they last. They seem to be intertwined,

Yet, he knows it comes and goes and that a state of not-knowing probably lasts less than 20 minutes because the brain falls into a coma if there is nobody to be aware of its thoughts of a world where there seems to be more than one (see the article Willingness not to exclude but include undoes the belief in a world where there seems to be more than one).

A state of not-knowing can be brought by a take-off into the empty breath, glimpses of enlightenment, inclusiveness, pretending to be someone definitive, seeing symbols of life in the world or being alone together (see Alexius’ Duality Hacks). But it is not to say, since if it is the same since it is a state of not-knowing.

But when he wakes up in the morning, he knows that the cure for believing in being someone definitive is a state of not-knowing. Whether triggered by the empty breath or another duality hack does not matter. What matters is that its bliss of nothing is achieved effortlessly without the help of thoughts and feelings. Therefore, when he returns to the consciousness of being someone, he knows that thoughts and feelings are only needed for the bliss of anything but for the belief in being someone.

When the empty breath is in charge of the switch between the inner and outward-facing senses, there is neither inside nor outside.

When not focussing on something specific, the world of the outward-facing senses becomes blurry. Hence the world of the inward-facing senses opens up. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

A NIGHT WITH BLISSFUL MOMENTS OF NOT-KNOWING
Laying in the bed with a 3D Sleep Mask on and protection ear plugs* plugged into his ears, the transparent sound of the empty breath seems to transport him into worlds of light, where lucid universes unfold at an extreme speed, or flowers in slow-mo until thoughts or feelings try to surface and sleep sets in. Going into a deep sleep, the visions of light continue, and when he wakes up early in the morning, they turn into ethereal harmonies.

You can read about hearing the transparent sound of the empty breath in the article What does the empty breath feel like?

It does not seem exciting to me anymore to travel in worlds of light. I am rather naturally attracted to leaving everything behind and as nothing sucked though a black hole into that which is one. It seems though, that I am to return in order to complete my non teachings. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

It seems like ages ago when Alexius enjoyed travelling in worlds of lucid light. Nowadays, he prefers not to see anything and as nothing falling through a black hole into the formlessness of oneness. See the article The ins and out of a black hole. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

Actually, this is a typical description from many years ago, where the glimpses of Enlightenment were exciting journeys in the enchanted worlds of light. Nowadays, he does not care much for such visions, which mostly are exciting because they, to some extent, are recognisable. Instead, he is drawn to visions of abstract nothingness. That is until they swirl together around a so-called black hole. This is neither exciting nor relaxing. It just is.

The vibration that Aum or Sohang symbolises** is another aspect of the Enlightenment of that which is One that can be experienced through the inward-facing senses. In the case of Alexius, it pops up now and then during the day as a natural extension of the empty breath. The taste of the Enlightenment of that which is One also pops up – for example, when he writes about it.

The Enlightenment of that which is One is impersonal, but the vague memories of it is filtered by the personality. Since it cannot take in one perpetual present, the Enlightenment of that which is One is described as a personal experience in time and space. On the other hand, glimpses of enlightenment is solely a personal experience.

Eyes cannot see – they translate, or it is rather the brain that translate all the otherwise meaningless info it receives through the eyes according to how it is conditioned to see the world. If it receives info that does not fit into its image of the world, it twist it until it does. In other words, you have no idea about what is written in this article or what is in the world. If you acknowledge this you do not need to read my non teachings, because this acknowledgement bids welcome the enlightenment of that which is one. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

The eyes cannot see – they translate***, or rather it is the brain that translates the frequencies it claims to receive from the eyes. Therefore, since your brain has fabricated what you believe to be reading, you have no idea what is said in it. Acknowledging this is to bid welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT YOU READ BECAUSE IT IS FABRICATED BY THE BRAIN
Be aware that the above is how Alexius experiences the world of the inward-facing senses when the world of the outward-facing senses gets less attention. But like you and he probably experience things in the world of the outward-facing senses differently, the same may apply to the world of the inward-facing senses. And regarding the Enlightenment of that which is One, his vague memories of not being someone at all are most likely selective (see hack #6.1 The Enlightenment of that which is One).

In other words, the descriptions you get in Alexius’ Duality Hacks of the Enlightenment of that which is One and its glimpses are not absolute. Besides, you have not read them, but your brain’s translation. Furthermore, you may have layered your interpretation of that on top of it.***

The night can be full of restless dreams, that seem very real, until you quietly wake up to the sound of ethereal music, that cancels out the confusion of the night, so that you full of clarity get out bed.

Neither is his experience the same every night. Some nights thoughts or emotions seem to take over and get him into the world of the outward-facing senses. No worries, if that happens to you too. It is a great way to see that thoughts and emotions have no power, and that power is unnecessary when there is no need to be someone.

If the the purpose of putting on a sleeping mask is to cancel out the ligt from the world of the outer senses, you will be in the light of the inner senses. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

If the purpose of putting on a sleeping mask is to cancel out the light from the world of the outward-facing senses, there will be lucid light coming from the world of the inward-facing senses. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

ANYTHING INTERPRETED AS SPECIFIC ENDS THE TOUR OF THE INWARD-FACING SENSES
You cannot do something to be in the world of the inward-facing senses because achieving something only works in a tangible world. But for the very same reason, you can do something to not experience the world of the outward-facing senses – for example, putting on a sleeping mask.

Best to forget all the descriptions from Alexius’ Duality Hacks about the glimpses of enlightenmen. You may interpret them as something specific, and that cannot be replicated in the world of the inward-facing senses.

Suppose you remember the last time you travelled in incredible worlds of lucid light, and you want more like that. In that case, you will not get i. Defining glimpses of Enlightenment in this way turns them into an experience of the outward-facing senses. Only there does it seem possible to experience something specifically more than once. In other words, if interpreting the glimpses of the Enlightenment in the way you do in the world of the outward-facing senses, there are no more glimpses to experience.

When you completely turn off the outward-facing senses or are willing to do so, you bid welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One. No image can be shown of that because it cannot be experienced since that requires more than one. However, glimpses of Enlightenment can be experienced. One of the last glimpses you may have before they fuse into the Enlightenment of that which is One could look like a horse head. A black hole sometimes looks like just before there is nothing but the most intense light. Nobody knows if it blasts out of the hole or into it because the light is so blinding that you cease to exist as someone definitive. That is why nothing is sucked into the black hole, that is not there anymore, just a gentle void transporting nobody into the formlessness of oneness. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

TO TURN OFF THE OUTWARD-FACING SENSES PARTIALLY OR TOTALLY
The easiest way to switch between the outward and inward-facing senses is, of course, to let the empty breath take care of it – see Notes on the empty breath – but until you are willing to choose, not to choose but to be guided by the empty breath the below suggestion can be of help.

You turn off the outward-facing senses by not excluding unwanted thoughts and feelings but including them. Therefore, since there is no contrast to define a tangible world, you are in the abstractness of the inward-facing senses. If the inclusion is partial, you have glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One, and if it is completed, there is not someone to hide the Enlightenment of that which is One.

Do not pay too much attention to the world of the outward-facing senses, when in the world of the inward-facing senses. And when moving in the world of the outward-facing senses, it is often best hardly to pay attention to to the inward-facing senses, except the memory of their  bliss. That helps you to involve yourself in the world of the outward-facing senses without being of it.

There are no rules though, so there can be times where the two worlds seem to mix in a beneficial way, but why not fully enjoy the taste of wine on the premises of the world of the outward-facing senses, and totally space out when you fly through amazing worlds of abstract light in the world of the inward-facing senses.

In other words, when you are solely in the world of the inward-facing senses, the belief in being someone in a world defined by time and space is undone by the Enlightenment of that which is One. This does not mean you are transformed into that which is one. Instead, it means the awareness of being someone is gone because it takes more than one to be conscious of something. Thus there does not appear to be something hiding, there is no more than that which always was and will be, namely that which is One since it is formless, thus endless.

APPENDIX
If you get the impression from reading Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings that the inward-facing senses are less deceptive than the outer ones, you have chosen to be deceived into believing that you can become better, higher or wiser by looking inside. If that is your purpose, they will cause you as much suffering as the outer ones.

But if your purpose is to become nobody, so that there is not somebody to hide the formlessness of that which is you, the inward-facing senses will speed up the undoing of the belief in being someone specific.

The four aspects of Enlightenment and how to sample them [draft]

Updated June 27, 2022

The echo of that which is one, which often is symbolised by the words Aum, Sohang or The Word of God and which comes from the edge of the universe can be heard or felt right now via the inner senses, because they are not limited by time and space.

The echo of that which is One is often symbolised by the words Aum, Sohang or The Word of God. It comes from the edge of the universe, but since the inward-facing senses are not limited by time and space, using them, it takes no time to go there to hear or feel the echo of oneness coming out of a black hole. See Going back to the first moment of duality.

None of the facets of the Enlightenment of that which is One can be experienced because it requires more than one to be aware of something. Thus when you hear, feel, see or taste it, you do not experience the Enlightenment of that which is One but glimpses of it. This article is about how to experience these glimpses with the inward-facing senses while still in the world of the outward-facing senses. Remember that as a movie trailer is not the movie, the glimpses are not the Enlightenment of that which is One

And be aware that the ways described below to have glimpses of Enlightenment will not work if you look forward to being or having more, as their function is to undo the belief that it is possible to be and have more than that which is one. This does not mean, you must restrain yourself from getting more but not care about it.

HEARING OR FEELING THE ECHO OF ONENESS
As already implied, oneness cannot be revealed because that calls for more than one. However, when you hear or feel it echoed from the edge of the universe, the belief in being and having more than One is, eventually, undone. Hereafter, it does not appear to hide there never was or will be more than that which is one.

In other words, the more you ignore the world defined by time and space, produced by the outward-facing senses, the more a world not limited by time and space is experienced by the inward-facing senses. Without time and space, it takes no time to go to the edge of the universe (read more about that here), where the echo of oneness has been used to create a fantasy world of time and space which seems genuine until you hear or feel this primordial vibration, often symbolised by Aum, Sohang or The Word of God.

This is the Hindi symbol of ´sohang´ – grabbed from the web

The Hindi symbol of Sohang.

»With every exhalation the soul recites ‘Hang’ and with every inhalation it recites ‘So’. Thus every soul counts the mantra of Sohang (So plus Hang) twenty-one thousand and six-hundred times every day and night.« Gherand Samhita, stanza 84.

In Eastern religions the echo of oneness is symbolised by the word ‘Aum’ or ‘Sohang’ and in the New Testament by ‘The Word of God’: »In the origin The Word had been existing and That Word had been existing with God and That Word was himself God.« John 1:1, Aramaic Bible in Plain English.

One who is to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One perceives ‘The Word’ in the above quote as a metaphor for the unpronounceable vibration you hear or feel when not being totally focused on the world of the outward-facing senses. The unenlightened, however, speculates about what exact words this is hinting at, even though there is not a single verse in the Bible referring to ´The Word of God´, as if it is written or can be spoken.

The vibration that AUM or Sohang symbolizes comes from the edge of the universe, which is only far away if you let yourself be deceived by a world defined by linear time as experienced through the outer senses.

Glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One are echoes of oneness coming out of a black hole at the edge of the universe. However, this is not far away when you ignore the outward-facing senses and their world defined by time and space and go with the inward-facing ones instead because they are not ruled by time and space. Thus you can see, hear, feel or taste the echo of oneness regardless of where you appear to be in the world of the outward-facing senses.

A way to ignore the outward-facing senses so you can hear or feel the echo of oneness with the inward-facing senses is not to be exclusive but inclusive. When you include all that you hear or feel completely unedited – or are willing to – the sum of everything in the world of the outward-facing senses is heard by the inward-facing senses. It sounds or feels like a humming of nothing and everything simultaneously. And it feels like you are both in the world of the outer and inward-facing senses.

You can also use the word Aum or Sohang as a launching pad for hearing or feeling the humming coming from the edge of the universe. Please read the article Life has no secrets to learn how to do it without spending years meditating, chanting and whatnot.

If you want to read especially about the inward-facing senses, check the previous article Prologue to the inward-facing senses, Enlightenment and its glimpses, or the next one The Enlightenment of that which is One and glimpses of it and The ins and outs of the inward-facing senses, or the older one Beyond the senses – or the outward-facing senses versus the inner ones.

And if you want to read about inclusiveness versus exclusiveness, check hack #3.2 Inclusiveness is freedom.

When your eyes become single, there is no separation to hide the enlightenment of that which is one. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

When your eyes become single, there is no separation to hide the Enlightenment of that which is One.

THE THIRD EYE
Seeing glimpses of oneness is done via the inward-facing sense called the third eye, a single ‘eye’ in the middle of the two eyes above the two eyebrows.

»The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.« Matt 6:22, King James Bible. This makes much sense to one who is to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One but obviously not to the unenlightened, because in the new international version of the New Testament this sentence has been changed to: »The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy, your whole body will be full of light.«

How this is meaningful to the unenlightened, Alexius does not know. But he knows it makes no sense to one who is to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One.

When you for whatever reason – maybe due to being very desperate, drunk or tired – are unable to focus, the Enlightenment of that which is One is bid welcome. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

The enlightenment of that which is One is bid welcome by completely ignoring the outward-facing senses. First time this happened for Alexius was when he returned home totally exhausted after a long nights work of taxi driving and simply was too tired to focus.

In other words, to be offbeat, exhausted, confused or maybe even drunk is a way to forget the outward-facing senses, so that there is no world to see and therefore nothing to hide the Enlightenment of that which is One. In fact anything that is not part of a scheme to fabricate images defined by time and space will do.

If that includes drugs Alexius does not know, because he has not experienced them. Yet he can say from looking at others taking drugs, that it seems to be more about expanding the consciousness of a world where there seems to be more than one than undoing it.

»Direct your eyes toward the middle of the eyebrows and meditate upon your own self. It is Shambhavi Mudra, the most secret practice of all the Tantra scriptures.« Gherand Samhita, stanza 59.

The positioning of the body, while activating the third eye, does not matter.

The positioning of the body, while activating the third eye, does not matter, as long as the body does not bother you.

Practically speaking you can turn off the visual outward-facing sense and open the third eye by closing the eyes and lightly, without any concentration, hold a finger on the third eye. You can do it anywhere in any position. However, it is best to do in a dark room, so you do not think the revelation of light comes from the world of the outward-facing senses.

If something like this is dechiffered into different colors and forms, you will have glimpses of the enlightenment of that which is one, but if you do not judge any colors or forms to be different from each other the apparent differences will explode into one bright light.

If having a vision like this and it is deciphered into an experience of different colours and shapes around a centre, it is a glimpse of ‘the Enlightenment of that which is One.’ If you on the other hand do not judge the apparent different colours and forms to make a difference or to come from somewhere specific, one bright and colourless light, that seems to explode from out of nowhere wipes out all thoughts collected to form you into someone definitive, so nobody gracefully falls into the formlessness of oneness.

Since the eyes always looks for the greatest contrast of light, your closed eyes automatically search the darkness until they move inwards and upwards towards the third eye from where they settle at a light show exposed at such a speed that the apparent contrast between the splashes of colours hardly can be perceived.

»Touching eyeballs as a feather, lightness between them opens into the heart and there permeates the cosmos.« Sochanda Tantra, stanza 13.

If your eyes do not automatically move inwards and upwards into the area of the inward-facing senses above the eyebrows, you may help them by gently pressing the thumb and middle finger on the outer corner of the eyeballs, while having the middle finger on the third eye.

However, this is not really commendable, since even the slightest effort requires focus, and it is not focus but defocus that bids welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One or glimpses of it. Furthermore this may give you the impression that certain physical postures can open the third eye.

None of the inward-facing senses are reached via a specific posture or way of thinking. But deactivating the outward-facing senses can be achieved in this way, so if you find a specific technique that seems helpful regarding this by all means go for it. However, the fastest way to deactivate the outward-facing senses is to not know what and where you are.

A way to to deactivate the outward-facing senses is to use an eye massager with infrared heat fusion technology, such as Breo iSee4 Eye Massager. Besides from turning off the outward-facing sense of seeing, the heat soften the eyes. And when they are relaxed, they do not focus. Hence they automatatically turn inwards and upwards to merge with the third eye.

»… and there shall be no light there, and they need no candle there, neither the light of the sun, for the Lord God giveth them light.« Rev. 22:5

The thought construction that seems to keep you together as someone tangible is left at the edge of a black hole.

The thought construction that seems to keep you together as someone tangible must be left at the edge of a black hole so that there is nothing to gracefully fall into the formlessness of oneness.

When your eyes are so soft that they do not focus or momentarily do not know what and where you are, there is nothing to prevent glimpses of Enlightenment to merge into one bright white light, namely the Enlightenment of that which is One. It extracts all thoughts, that you have stored to appear as someone definitive, and leave them at the edge of what may look like a black hole, so there is nobody to experience the nothingness of you gracefully falling into the formlessness of oneness.

You can read more about a black hole in the article The ins and outs of a black hole.

Enlightenment is not an out-of-the-body experience as it is not an experience, but its preliminary stage of bliss and compassion, which is connected to the world via the pineal gland, is an experience that is often perceived to be out-of-the-body.

Enlightenment of that which is one is not an out-of-body experience. It is not an experience at all. But its preliminary stages of bliss and compassion, which in the world may to be connected with the pineal gland, is something that may be felt as an out-of-body experience.

Most, however, are afraid of loosing their identity, so they settle for glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One, which is like a blissful out-of-body experience – presumably linked to the pineal gland. It appears to foster states like that.

If you are not tempted to stop at this state of bliss, but to go where someone definitive cannot go, namely into the Enlightenment of that which i One, it is not an out-of-body experience. On the contrary, there is no experience at all, nor consciousness, because to be awate of something requires more than one.

If you want to leave the Enlightenment of that which is One and be reshaped as someone definitive, you must pick up the thoughts, that was left at the edge of a black hole so you could enter it as nobody.

Returning from the Enlightenment of that which is One to a world where there seems to be more than one, you cannot know, you have been at the other side of a black hole, because you were not there and there is no other side, since there is no more than that which is one. In other words, the person you appear to be is not Enlightened. Yet, due to vague memories of that which is one, you are to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One.

It is not possible though for somebody else to know, this. You will hardly grasp it yourself. But for sure you grasp, that a world where there seems to be more than one is not real.

ac1d3bc0-5bae-4dac-921e-8c1c4d9f64e1ETHEREAL HARMONIES
When you thoroughly enjoy the music of the outward-facing, it reminds you of the airy music you can experience with the inward-facing senses. It is full of ethereal harmonies floating out of a black hole at the edge of the universe.

»I heard a sound from heaven like the sound of cascading waters and like the rumbling of loud thunder. The sound I heard was also like harpists playing on their harps.« Revelation 14:2, Holman Christian Standard Bible.

Being used to take a ride in the world of the inward-facing senses, that opens up when the outward-facing senses are not fully used to experience a world defined by time and space, you sense the first sentence of this quote refers to ‘Aum’ or ‘Sohang’ or ‘The Word of God,’ and that the second one to ethereal music.

»At midnight when not a single sound is heard, close your ears with both hands and do Purak Pranayama. Listen to the sounds in your right ear which are very pleasant. The first sound that you will hear is of a pine bird, the second of a flute, third of a cloud, fourth of a dragon bee, the fifth of a ringing bell and then of a gong of metal. Sounds of trumpet, drum etc. are also heard.

Except for The New Testament and Bhagavad Gita Alexius has not read religious scripts. Therefore, most of the words in the quote from Gherand Samhita are meaningless to him. But since he hears inner music himself, it is easy to pick up the essence of the quote, namely the bliss of listening to ethereal harmonies.

Besides these, many other sounds are heard if it is practiced daily. These sounds are Anahata (unproduced) and come on their own accord. Nada is related to light. Light is related to mind, so mind gets itself merged in a sound which is the seat of the Lord. Therefore, practice of Bhramari gives Siddhi of Samadhi (i.e., makes Samadhi possible).

Mind gets eightfold more pleasure in the act of meditation than Japa (repeating God’s name), eightfold more interest in Tapas (penance) than the meditation, and eightfold more interest in music or sound than the Tapas. There is nothing greater than music.« Gherand Samhita, stanzas 77-81. Besides for the word ´Nada´ meaning music Alexius does not know the meaning of all the Hindi words in this quote, but hearing inner music himself – though not so bombastic as described in this quote – he gets the overall meaning of it.

Using noise-cancelling headphones is a great way to close off the outward-facing sense of hearing. Alexius prefers in-ear headphones, though, as they can also be used when going to bed.

A practical way to stop hearing the world of the outward-fencing senses and start listening to the music of the inward-fencing senses is to put both thumbs in your ears. But you can also use a noise-cancelling headphone or an in-ear headphone. Then without focusing or trying to define anything, be nothing but the ethereal music coming to you from what may seem far away.

For tuning in, it is best not to go with the vibrations from the left ear. They often are the sounds of a busy mind. So instead, follow the harmonies that appear to come from an empty space a bit outside of the right ear. That said, do not pay too much attention to directions.

Maybe you will not hear ethereal harmonies immediately but the humming symbolised by ‘Aum’ or ‘Sohang’ or ‘The Word of God.’ If so, go with this glimpse of the Enlightenment of that which is One. It could also be that you ‘hear’ thoughts. But they will not disturb you from hearing eternal harmonies if that is what you want – nor from having visions of light, infinite sweetness or sublime intimacy.

Tasting the sweetness of oneness helps you not to focus on the world of the outward-facing senses. Thus glimpses of Enlightenment coming from the world of the inward-facing senses become the foundation for perceiving the world of the outward-facing senses. Since this, eventually, results in not perceiving the apparent differences to make a difference, there is no separation to hide that which is one. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

THE TASTE OF ONENESS
Tasting the most exquisite food, one is reminded about the taste of oneness, if not entirely in the world of the outward-facing senses. It can be compared to the transparent taste of the foam in a milkshake with a few drops of honey and maybe with a hint of either liquorice, strawberry, or mint. It can also be compared to how marshmallows – especially those with a flavour of strawberries – interact with the palate.

Some Chinese Herb Formulations or teas – for example Spring Dragon Longevity Tea – enhance the taste of oneness, provided you already are in touch with it. The same applies to the Ayurvedic teas, that Alexius have tasted and most teas including liquorice.

But it is best not to compare the taste of oneness or other glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One to anything else, as all comparisons are based on definitions from the past and, therefore, cancel out the ever-present glimpses of Enlightenment.

»Your lips drip nectar, my bride, honey and milk are under your tongue.« Song of Solomon 4:11.

»A land flowing with milk and honey« Exodus 3:8

»Whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never be thirsty, but the water that I shall give him shall be in him as a well of water springing up into everlasting life.« John 4:10-4:14.

Even though this taste is called the nectar of life in some scriptures, you should not expect it to make you younger or inject you with more energy in the world of the outward-facing senses. Getting more is an illusion based on the belief that there is more than that which is One.

One way of undoing this belief is not to focus because without it, the apparent differences in a world where there seems to be more than one become blurred. Thus different appearances do not seem to hide, there is no more than the formlessness of that which is one. Fortunately, the side-effect of doing the technique for the taste of oneness is defocusing.

The inner sense of taste not only stops the compulsive focusing on forms but also your cravings for sweets and to experience  something definable. The taste of life is always there and it is free. Neither do you have to meditate or be pure to consume it. All you have to do is to put your tongue behind the uvula. And if you cannot do that, it is also OK, because doing so is just meant to help you deactivating the outer senses and the only thing that really accomplish that, is the intention to do it. Just like even you are at a springboard, you will not dive from it, if that is not your intention of going there.

The inward fasing sense of taste does not only diminish the compulsive focusing on something definitive but also your cravings for more, for example sweets. The taste of oneness is always there. It is free, and you do not have to meditate or be pure to have it. All you have to do is to put your tongue behind the uvula and devote yourself to the taste of oneness. If you cannot get your tongue there, it is not a problem. Doing so is meant to help you deactivating the outward-facing senses and the only thing that really accomplish this, is the intention of doing it. In other words, reaching the uvula with your tongue is good enough. Actually, when you hold the underneath of your tongue on the soft area beneath the uvula you feel the empty breath (see What does ‘the empty breath’ feel like?) and get the sweet taste of oneness. This is not a metaphor, nor second-hand knowledge but Alexius’ experience from tasting the subleness of oneness on both sides of the uvula. As a result of this technique, the empty breath is activated. It expands the breathing, which makes the the body feel glorious. And the soft taste of oneness prevents you from focusing on the world of the outward-facing senses. Thus you feel absorded by the happiness of abstractness.

The taste of oneness unfolds under the tongue, when it is moved behind the uvula (the skin flap hanging down in the back of the mouth at the entrance to the throat). Placing it there makes you feel like you are not in the world even though you appear to be there. Besides it cutbacks the need to focus on the world of the outward–facing senses and also the longing for more, especially the craving for sweets. That is if you devote yourself to it – no techniques work without devotion. Yet devotion can work without a technique.

To get the tongue behind the uvula you may have to press it backwards for a long time, maybe for months, and finally use a finger to push it the rest of the way. However, this may make you feel as if you are about to vomit. No worries – it is just a feeling. When you are used to keeping your tongue there, it is easy, and there is no sense of vomiting.

»Khechari Mudra is turning the tongue backwards into the cavity of the cranium and turning the eyes inwards toward the eyebrow center.« Haha-Yoga Pradipika, Chapter 3, stanzas 32-37.

To taste the sweetness of oneness, called Khechari Mudray in the above quote, you do not have to literally replicate the ancient technique. Neither do you have to push the tongue behind the uvula as Alexius wrote above. Reaching the soft area underneath the front of the uvula with the backside of the tongue will do. See also the explanation in the above caption.

THERE IS NO WAY TO THE ENLIGHTENMENT OF THAT WHICH IS ONE BUT A LOT TO GLIMPSES OF IT
The
way to bid welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One or glimpses of its four facets is not to be pure. Neither is it about how you breathe, eat or anything else you appear to do in the world of the outward-facing senses. Still, things like that may be helpful to deactivate the outward-facing senses.

But no technique can do that if it is not the intention of executing it. In other words, the first step is solely about purpose. If that is to deactivate the outward-facing senses, many techniques may work. The second step is to devote yourself to the lucid journey in the world of the inward-facing senses.

These steps only apply to having glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One and not to welcome in its entirety, as it takes more than one to take any step.

The part of the world of the outer senses you want to experience is not meant to be blurry but in focus, so what you see is definable. It is the other way around with the world of the inner senses,. In other words, the two worlds does in most cases not work well together. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

The part of the world of the outward-facing senses you want to experience is not supposed to be blurry. It must be in focus to make the experience is definable. It is the other way around in the world of the inward-facing senses. Your experiences there are abstract. Hence mixing the two worlds does not work out.

DAILY LIFE WITH GLIMPSES OF THE ENLIGHTENMENT OF THAT WHICH IS ONE
It is probably best not to be active in the world of the outward-facing senses while having visions of light. This is because the visual glimpses of Enlightenment can become so intense that the world of the outward-facing senses hardly is sensed.

However, the technique for tasting the sweetness of oneness can be carried out while being active in the world of the outward-facing senses. The same applies to enjoying the ethereal harmonies if you hear them without putting your thumbs in the ears. And it also applies to hearing or feeling the vibration that Aum, Sohang and The Word of God symbolise. See Life has no secrets.

This may result in the experience of a world that seems less defined. Not to the extent, though, that you cannot move around but that you feel you are carried around.

That is, as long as you do not take the full tour of these glimpses because it ends in the formlessness of oneness, thus no longer appearing as someone in a world where there seems to be more than one, nor in oneness since that requires more than one. You are not someone at all, so there is no memory or consciousness of ever having believed to be that. Instead, there is what always has been and will be, namely that which is one.

The Hebrew word Elohim was originally a symbol for one perpetual present.

The word god, which is a translation of the Hebrew word Elohim, was at first meant to be a metaphor for that which is one and never ends. Hence the word god was originally a symbol for one perpetual present. As this is not understandable, when you believe to be in a world of linear time, the meaning of the word gradually was changed, so that god became a symbol for one almighty force believed to have created the world defined by time and space in its own image.

But what is not definable cannot create something definable. Hence a world defined by time and space is an illusion and so is the perceived creator of such a world.

APPENDIX ABOUT THE QUOTES
The terminology of yoga and so-called holy scriptures – apart from The New Testament and Bhagavad Gita – is unknown to Alexius, so he does not know the scriptures from which the quotes in this article are taken. He found them by searching the internet.

When everything is included, there does not appear to be something outside you. Consequently, nor inside, as that requires there is something outside you. Hence there is nothing but the formlessness of oneness.

Alexius does not sympathise with Eastern or Western religions or new age philosophy. Generally, they exclude what they judged as wrong by projecting it onto non-believers to make them tainted and themselves pure. Yoga, for example, is often based on meditation, where you must exclude something deemed evil to become one. But oneness is formless, thus endless, so you can neither add nor subtract from it. If you try to do that, you enhance the belief that there is more than that which is One.

Prologue to the inward-facing senses, Enlightenment and its glimpses

Updated June 27, 2022

Inner visions of light of anything at all is not the enlightenment of that which is one, as it takes more than one to have a vision. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

It takes more than one to have a vision, so no matter how impressive it may be, it is not the Enlightenment of that which is One but glimpses of it. It is comparable to a movie trailer, a sample of the whole, thus not undivided. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

The world of the outward-facing senses is experienced via seeing, hearing, feeling and tasting/smelling something that seems physical. The world of the inward-facing senses can also be seen, heard, felt and tasted. However, you do not get a sense of something tangible but abstract. It is also here that you bid welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One.

It comes through a hole that sometimes seems black. See the article The ins and outs of a black hole. But following the light into it is the end of both the outward and inward-facing senses. Hence the experience of something is over. Therefore, if you are aware of something, you are not in the Enlightenment of that which is One but outside, having glimpses of it via the inward-facing senses.

If you for a moment forget what and where you are you are, a world where there seems to be more than one does not seem to hide the enlightenment of that which is One.

You get inside the Enlightenment of that which is One when the glimpses of it are not perceived to differ because then is no separation to define you as someone definitive. Hence there is not somebody to fight the construction of thoughts that have replaced the formlessness of oneness with someone definitive is extracted by an exceptionally bright white light. Nor is there anybody to be aware of that everything you ever believed to be and have is gone. Consequently, there is nothing to gracefully fall through the hole that is no more because there is no experience to hide the formlessness of oneness.

Therefore, since what you believe in being has not been Enlightened, you appear to be the same if returning to the experience of being someone definitive. However, you do not believe this experience is real due to vague memories of formlessness. Hence you are to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One.

Since the Enlightenment of that which is One has no beginning and end, someone definitive cannot experience it. But glimpses of it – for example travelling through lucid worlds of light – have a beginning and an end, so they can be experienced by someone definitive. This is done through the inward-facing senses, when the outward ones are toned down.

The outward and inward-facing senses
The outward-facing senses are geared to experience a world perceived as outside you, thus separated from you, whereas the inward-facing senses help you experience a world that does not seem to be separated from you. But it does not mean this world is inside you. There is neither anything inside nor outside of you, as that requires more than one, and there is no more than that which is one.

It is the same within the context of a world where there seems to be more than one, because, scientifically speaking, it consists of empty space. Therefore, what you experience is make-believe – also reading reads that it may be easier to undone this deception by turning down the volume of the outward-facing senses, and turning up the volume of the inner ones.

If you seem to see an E here, you are using the E, you have made in your mind, to hide all the empty space.

If you believe in seeing an ‘E’ here, you focus on seeing something recognisable to twist empty space into something. The empty space is not the formlessness of oneness, but when you do not imagine it is a world defined by time and space, no substantial elements seem to hide the formlessness of oneness. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

PARTIAL DEVOTION TO THE INWARD-FACING SENSES RESULTS IN GLIMPSES OF ENLIGHTENMENT
If you do not constantly focus on something specific, the outward-facing senses cannot fabricate the experiences of a world defined by time and space. Therefore, the more you defocus, the more the definable world of the outward-facing senses is complemented by the abstract world of the inward-facing senses. Thus you get glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One. You see light shows if you are visual-minded, hear ethereal music if you are auditory minded, and taste or feel it if you are emotional minded.

In the article The four aspects of Enlightenment and how to sample them, you can read how to see, hear, feel and taste glimpses of the enlightenment of that which is One.

The purpose of the inward-facing senses is to draw you into their abstract world, thus undoing the belief of being someone definitive – like a moth cannot help but follow its attraction to the flame, even though it is going to be the end of it.

Mixing something is based on the belief in separation, so do not try to mix glimpses of light with glimpses of ethereal music, for example. Just welcome the glimpse of the Enlightenment of that which is One that seems to come your way. But do not try to hang onto a glimpse or to have it repeated. If it changes into another aspect of the Enlightenment of that which is One, go with that.

These glimpses, as already noted, are not the Enlightenment of that which is One because it has no room for someone being conscious of something since that requires more than one. This does not mean what you believe in being is transformed by the Enlightenment of that which is One into oneness. Instead, it is dismissed as an illusion.

Practically speaking, it might be best to downplay the visual glimpses of Enlightenment in daily life. It is because you will have a hard time navigating the world of the outward-facing senses while having visions of light. But in most cases, you can safely go with glimpses of hearing, feeling or tasting hearing, feeling or tasting the Enlightenment of that which is One.

The graphic is grabbed from the web.

The healing of the body caused by partly being devoted to the inward-facing senses is a side effect that helps you not worry about its appearance and inevitable end. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

THE INWARD-FACING SENSES AND THE BODY
Devotion to the inward-facing senses will heal your body because it will give the body the peace it needs to heal itself. This may not include genetically caused diseases, though. However, due to the tranquillity, the inward-facing senses entail, a genetically created condition does not generate fear. Thus it is easier to deal with (see hack #4.3 The toxic mix of physical and non-physical issues).

But suppose the body’s wellbeing is the purpose of devoting yourself to the inward-facing senses. In that case, you cannot be attentive to the world of the inward-facing senses since that requires having no specific focus, so the world of the inward-facing senses fades out without you even noticing it. Thus the body is not being nurtured by it.

TOTAL DEVOTION TO THE INWARD-FACING SENSES BIDS WELCOME THE ENLIGHTENMENT OF THAT WHICH IS ONE
Complete devotion to the inward-facing senses welcomes the Enlightenment of that which is One, which immediately erases all memories of you being someone definitive. As you are not there anymore and never were, there is nobody to know how long time this takes. Besides, the Enlightenment of that which is One is not a process but one perpetual present.

But at first, it may seem to be a process, and as long as that is the case, the brain that produced your experiences as someone definitive is not finished. Thus it can be rebooted and recreate the experience of you as someone definitive. But since it takes more than one to be anything, the reestablished experience cannot contain the Enlightenment of that which is One. So although you are to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One, you look like you used to. The only difference is that you know it is not you.

However, as soon as the Enlightenment of that which is One does not seem to be a process, the brain cannot be rebooted and, therefore, not produce the experience of you as a substantial being in a tangible world. Hence there is nothing to hide that which always has been and always will be that which is you, namely the formlessness of oneness. There is, of course, nobody to be aware of this since it takes more than one to be conscious of something.

In the water but not of it. The image is grabbed from the web

IS THE ENLIGHTENMENT OF THAT WHICH IS ONE REQUIRED TO UNDO THE BELIEF IN BEING SOMEONE?
The Enlightenment of that which is One can be said to be the last step back to the formlessness of oneness. Still, as formlessness is endless, you have never left it. Thus it is not about going back but realise how you hide the formlessness of oneness, namely by believing you are someone definitive.

As already mentioned, the Enlightenment of that which is One does that in a split second. But it can also be achieved while enjoying the world of the outward-facing senses. In the below box, there are some suggestions on how to do this:

The more you perceive the apparent differences in the world of the outward-facing senses to not make a difference, the more the outward-facing senses function as a set-off to that which is One (hack #3.2 Inclusiveness is freedom).

The same applies to pretending to be someone definitive (hack #1.3 Pretending to be someone definitive is liberation or seeing symbols of life in the world (hack #2.1 Everything experienced is a symbol of life).

And it also applies to being alone together, which does not mean that you are together with one or more who also are alone, but that you are alone together with your fantasy of a world where there seems to be more than one, no matter how many there seem to be around you (hack #7.1 Alone together, we go home).

The empty breath (HACK #5, A state of not-knowing is nothing but bliss) syncs the outward-facing senses with the inward-facing ones, so you over time are able to devote yourself so much to the glimpses of Enlightenment that they do not seem separated, wherefore the Enlightenment of that which is One sets in.

You do not even need Alexius’ Duality Hacks to have the belief in being someone undone. All that is necessary is not to remember what and where you are because then there is no belief in being someone definitive that appears to hide the formlessness of oneness.

There is no experience of love without the experience of hate, because you cannot know one without the other. Multitasking allows you to experience both emotions simultaneously, and so hate is as blissful as love. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

The reason that so many avoid multitasking is that it leaves them no time to suppress anger and other feelings messing up the perfect image of themselves as somebody full of peace, compassion, inner strength and whatnot.

What they do not know, when keeping a specific feeling hidden – hate for example – is that they diminish the experience of its contrasts – in this case love – because you cannot have one without the other. See hack #4.4 The duality flow goes to non-duality.

Least of all do they know that when both sides of a contrast are equally acknowledge, their apparent difference makes no difference. Thus loving somebody is as blissful as to hate them.

Here the world of the inner senses are about to shift to bright white light, which is gonna extract all the info you have collected in order to appear as somebody and leave it at the edge at a black hole so that there is nobody to fall into the nothingness of that which is one. This is not compatible with appearing in a world, where there seems to be more than one, so if that is what you want, you better make sure the info making up your personality is not extracted or you know where to find it again. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

This image could be illustrating the last glimpse of the Enlightenment of that which is One before you give up seeing something specific. There is no transition from seeing glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One and getting into it. And since it is one perpetual present, you do not know when it extracts all the info making you appear as someone definitive so that nothing is sucked into a black hole where it gracefully falls into the formlessness of oneness. This is not compatible with appearing as someone definitive in a world defined by time and space, so if that is what you want, you better make sure that the info making up your appearance as someone definitive is not extracted which you prevent by going with the flow of fear. However, there is no fear in that which is One. It is impossible as it would require more than one. But it seems possible to imagine there is more than one, and going with the fear that this entails, you seem to leave it and instead be in a world where there seems to be more than one. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

MULTITASKING THE INWARD AND OUTWARD-FACING SENSES
Much devotion to the world of the inward-facing senses probably makes you spaced out in the world of the outward-facing senses. Yet, if you do not have to be present there, you go with the flow of the inward-facing senses, as if the world outside of you stands still.

But suppose you have to do something demanding in the world of the outward-facing senses. In that case, it is best to only devote yourself to that, so the abstractness of the inward-facing senses does not mess it up.

However, you can also multitask between the inner and outward-facing senses so that being loaded with glimpses of Enlightenment in the world of the inward-facing senses makes you indifferent to the constant demands in the world of the outward-facing senses.

When you multitask the world of the inner and outward-facing senses, thoughts are not considered to be yours. Thus nobody is going anywhere, even though it may appear so.

Multitasking is said to disturb the brain so that it is harder for it to focus on something specific. That is why it is beneficial regarding undoing the belief in being someone definitive  – especially the multitasking of the inner and outward-facing senses, which happens all by itself when connected with the empty breath. See The empty breath syncs the inward and outward-facing senses.

This is not a new religion or philosophy, that you must learn and strictly adhere to. On the contrary. It is about unlearning everything, so do not try to make sense of what you read.

A perfect moment with glimpses of enlightenment is something you are aware of. If you stop being aware of it, you cannot see any glimpse. There is nothing and that is where the enlightenment of that which is one sets in. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

Glimpses of Enlightenment are something you are aware of. If you stop being aware of them or anything else, there is nothing to block out the Enlightenment of that which is One. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

WHERE DO GLIMPSES OF ENLIGHTENMENT COME FROM
Physically speaking, glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One seem to originate from a non-defined space behind the frequencies of thoughts near the pineal gland. It is probably also from there that you perceive the world when you are in a state of not-knowing.

The same applies when you pretend to be a person or perceive everything in the world as symbols of that which is One. The empty breath – sounding like sohang – is presumably picked up from there as well, physically speaking.

Furthermore, the pineal gland might work as a receiver for signals picked up by the eighth chakra, which has a magenta colour and is located above the head. Maybe the pineal gland or the eighth chakra is involved when experiencing glimpses of Enlightenment. You cannot know because you are blown out of the experience – and afterwards, you do not know where to look. And this is fine because focussing on the pineal will not bring about any of the above. It contracts the energy, so you feel boxed in as someone definitive. On the other hand, defocussing removes restrictions wherefore you do not feel limited to being someone specific.

NOTHING TWISTED INTO SOMETHING
It takes more than one to appear as someone, and there is no more than that which is one since it is formless, thus endless. Thus appearing as someone in a world where there seems to be more than one is a fantasy made from nothing, experienced by nothing.

This is not to say that oneness is nothing. It is that which is One, and it takes more than one to be anything. For the same reason, it is impossible to fantasise about something in oneness. Nevertheless, it seems possible to imagine there is something outside of it. But since oneness is endless, there is nothing outside of it. So even though the brain twists it into something, it is non-existing.

This is probably why science concludes that the world we believe in feeling and seeing consists of 99.9999999 per cent empty space. And the rest – despite also being empty space consisting of nothing substantial – is what we perceive as elements of matter making up a world defined by time and space.

Just like everything else sensed, the empty breath is invisible and colourless until the brain ascribes it to a specific shape and colour. But as the empty breath does not aspire to be something, the brain does not care to twist it into an object. Thus it remains invisible and colourless.

Not knowing what and where you are is the bliss of not believing to be someone

In the connectedness with the empty breath, the apparent difference between the opposing sides of the contrasts making up the experience of duality is cancelled out. Not in the sense that you do not register them anymore, but that you do not perceive them to make a difference. Therefore, since there is no separation to attest to duality, you are in the bliss of not believing to be someone definitive.  Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

THE BLISS OF NOTHING
Though science seems to know that the experience of something is made from nothing, thus is make-believe, they explore the experiences of something as they are real. However, in Alexius’ Duality Hacks, we expose something as nothing, so there does not seem to be something hiding there never was or will be anything but the formlessness of oneness.

The experiences the brain fabricates of someone substantial in a tangible world only seem real when perceived as something. If not, they are exposed as nothing. To see that, you go back in time to the nothingness the brain twists into your everyday experience of something.

Since the empty breath resides there, and it has taken the brain one second to fabricate your current experience of something, it only takes one second to connect with the empty breath and be in a state of not-knowing, thus the bliss of nothing. This happens via the inward-facing senses. But if the brain is not kept active in a feedback loop, with thoughts that seem to confirm the world of the outward-facing senses as something, it falls into a coma. Thus you cannot be in the bliss of nothing for more than 20 minutes, 45 at most, at a time if you want to return to a world of something. Read more about that here.

Connecting with the empty breath is not about being deeper, purer or balanced. Being something is part of the experience of being someone, and the empty breath is not part of that but the nothingness that this experience is fabricated from.

In the flow of not believing to be someone

Should you wonder, who chooses to believe in being someone, who has programmed the brain to produce experiences that seem to confirm this belief or who is wondering about this, the answer is nobody. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

WHAT AND WHERE ARE THE INWARD AND OUTWARD-FACING SENSES
What you see, hear, feel and taste in the world of the inward-facing senses and the outward-facing ones are based on the same sensory system. Thus their different names do not mean they differ from each other, physically speaking. Still, they are different ways of experiencing the same frequencies of the nothingness that the brain twists into experiences perceived as proof of being someone.

In the case of the inward-facing senses, the experience of its world is abstract because the brain has not yet processed the frequencies of nothingness to appear as physical elements outside you. Thus it feels as if the world is inside you. But in the world of the outward-facing senses, the brain has processed nothing into something, so you appear as someone definitive in a tangible world outside of you.

However, since it takes more than one to experience something and as there is no more than that which is One, any experience is an illusion, regardless it seems to come from the outward or inward-facing senses.

Consequently, the above distinction between inward and outward-facing senses and a brain receiving something authentic from the sensory system is part of the non-existing brain’s plot to deceive you into believing you are experiencing something where there is nothing.

It takes nobody to know where the inner senses are

The abstract world of the inward-facing senses is experienced when time and space are not entirely considered real. Ultimately speaking, though, these experiences from the inward-facing senses are no more real than those via the outward-facing senses because any experience requires more than one, and there is no more than that which is One since it is formless, thus endless. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Therefore, it is only in the context of the belief in more than one that there is someone to experience an abstract world, lightly processed by the brain from the frequencies of nothingness, and a substantial heavily processed by the brain from the same frequencies.

The abstract experiences of the inward-facing senses open up when you do not entirely believe to be someone definitive in the world of the outward-facing senses. Hence there is little left of this belief when you are in the world of the inward-facing senses. Otherwise, there would be nobody to experience the world of the inward-facing senses. In other words, when you appear to be nobody in the world of the inward-facing senses, you have not totally left the belief in being somebody because there must be somebody to register the experiences of nobody. Consequently, the abstractness of nothing you experience in the world of the inward-facing senses is slightly something.

It only takes the brain a split second to twist nothing into an abstract experience in the world of the inward-facing senses. However, since the brain wants you to have a tangible experience in a substantial world, it uses one more second to distort nothing into something experienced as physical via the outward-facing senses.

You may fear the inward-facing senses. But since this fear comes from the belief in being somebody and the empty breath, undoes this belief, there is nothing to fear if you connect with it.

THE FEAR OF THE INWARD-FACING SENSES
You must constantly concentrate and focus on the world of outward-facing senses to make it appear real. It is the other way around in the world of the inward-facing senses. It is experienced when there is no effort to focus or concentrate.

As long as you intend to appear in a world where there seems to be more than one, it is best to multitask between those two worlds, so you can focus when needed in the world of the outward-facing senses and space out in the world of the inner ones when nothing is required of you.

However, you can only do that if you are willing not to always give your full attention to the structured world of the outward-facing senses but sometimes go with the unstructured flow of the inward-facing senses. This may seem not very comforting, but it is the other way around. In the world of the outward-facing senses, we are always afraid of not making it, whereas we have nothing to live up to in the world of the inward-facing senses. But we cannot remain in this abstract world if we want to go on in a world defined by time and space. Fortunately, the empty breath brings us back and forth between the outward and inward-facing senses per our present situation.

Not being someone specific feels as if you are nothing, which seems pretty discomforting until you realise that being empty, you are a vessel for the empty breath, which takes you into the high-frequency world of the inward-facing senses, where glimpses of Enlightenment become the base for experiencing the low-frequency world of the outward-facing senses.

Alexius Jorgensen have an automatic synchronisation of the inner an outer senses

The empty breath synchronises the outward and inward-facing senses. Hence, we become indifferent to being somebody in the tangible world of the outward-facing senses and thus responsive to being nobody in the abstract world of the inward-facing senses. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

THE EMPTY BREATH SYNCS THE INWARD AND OUTWARD-FACING SENSES
Suppose we once connected with the empty breath and quickly left it. In that case, it remains with us because it is unaware that we believe to be separated beings in the low-frequency world of the outward-facing senses.

Yet the empty breath senses the stress coming from this belief, so it synchs our discomfort with the high-frequency world of the inward-facing senses. It does not do it because this world is more peaceful than the world of the outward-facing senses. But because the stress in the low-frequency world of the outward-facing senses does not seem stressful in the high-frequency world of the inward-facing senses.

The empty breath always functions as an automatic gear shift between the outward and inward-facing sense. When connected with the empty breath, the abstractness in the world of the inward-facing senses becomes the base from which the world of the outward-facing senses is perceived. Thus it does not appear to consist of something but nothing.

When not connected with the empty breath, the world of the outward-facing senses is prioritised. But when you relax, have sex or your response to something is perceived as ‘it is what it is,’ the ratio between the world of the outward and inward-facing senses changes per what and where you appear to be. Read about the perception ‘it is what it is,’ in hack #4.2 The brain’s script and how to perceive it to feel happy.

It is unnecessary to undo the belief in being someone definitive to connect with the empty breath, but it is essential to be willing to undo it. This is enough. It does not require meditation and other techniques based on exclusion, restraint and control. Nor is it needed to avoid that because if you restrain yourself and stand by that completely, the uncontrolled energy ignites a take-off to the empty breath.

There are many ways to appear in a world defined by time and space, but there is no way to leave it because you are not in it. Like within the context of such a world, a dreamer is not in their dream and, therefore, does not return to bed when the dream is over. Likewise, you do not return to the formlessness of oneness when your apparent life in a world defined by time and space is finished because you never left the formlessness of oneness. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

APPENDIX
Since most resist being nobody, they are unwilling to undo the belief in being somebody. But if you acknowledge this, you confirm what you appear to be is make-believe. Thus you have a willingness to undo the belief in being somebody.

About willingness see also Willingness not to exclude but include undoes the belief in a world where there seems to be more than one.

This does not mean that you suddenly are gone, reborn or awakened. Like within the context of this belief, Santa Claus does not stop when you grow up. But the impression that he is real stops. However, there is one difference between the undoing of the belief in Santa Claus and you being someone definitive. When the belief in the latter is undone or in the process of being it, you are not disappointed. Instead, you feel free to enjoy being someone defined by time and space.

NOTES:

What does ‘the empty breath’ feel like?

Updated June 24, 2022

The inner breath is not restricted to be felt as a specific form, neither to only be felt inside. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

Since the empty breath is not definitive, you cannot experience it in a specific way. Yet, it can be felt in undefinable ways anywhere within its non-definitive framework – whether that appears to be inside or outside the body – but never consistently the same, although it is always there.

You can feel the empty breath in many ways within its non-definable frame of a ball-like thingy,  which top passes through the head – or above it – and the bottom through the stomach or below it. It is not explicitly experienced inside or outside the body, so it is not an out-of-body experience. Besides, such an experience is based on the belief in being someone in a body, and the empty breath undoes this idea. Read more about that here. Hence it is a no-body experience. This does not mean that you do not take care of the body and the world around it when connected with the empty breath, but that you are indifferent to the outcome.

In the connectedness with the empty breath there is nothing that appears disturbing. But trying to connect with it everything seems disturbing, because the purpose of trying to do something is to delay do it. Thus you want to be disrupted.

The inner breath has no definitive center or anything else in a fixed position, so your experience of it may be different from mine. Maybe you primarily experience it in the stomach, in the chest or both inside and outside of your body within the non definitive borders of a ball. It may change from moment to moment, as  – unlike this image – it is not static. This image however illustrates when all its movements are experienced simultaneously, which feels as if the everything stands still.

The empty breath has no definitive centre or border or anything else in a fixed position. Everything is constantly moving, so the experience changes from moment to moment. Maybe it is felt in the stomach or chest or outside the body. Should your experience differ from Alexius’ description, go with the flow as it comes to you.

FEELINGS ARE SUBJECTIVE
If you are future-minded, you might experience the empty breath coming from in front of you, whereas it probably is felt to arrive from the back if you are concerned about the past. And if you are into the concepts like living in the now, being centred and balanced, it might be felt as if it has a fixed centre. In other words, the experience of the empty breath is coloured by your conditioning.

This is not a problem for the empty breath because contrary to you, it does not need to be acknowledged in a particular way. So whether you experience it to be in the stomach, the chest, or outside the body, it carries out its purpose, which is to make you indifferent to your experiences.

The empty breath is indifferent to all the apparent differences of the world, so the more you connect with it, the more you adapt to its indifference and the less you want to be someone who makes a difference.

Since the empty breath is not static, its experience may quickly change and differ from those described in this article. No worries. Connecting with it is not about doing something specific to feel something definitive but going with the flow. You only feel obliged to do ‘the right thing’ when you want to make a difference.

I am not a talented illustrator, so instead of making an illustration of the inner breath, I have manipulated an image found on the internet in order to give you an idea of the simultaneously movements inside it.

Alexius has manipulated this scientific illustration on the internet to give you an idea of the simultaneously circular movements inside the non-definitive ball of the empty breath.

A BASIC INTRO TO THE NON-DEFINITIVE SHAPE OF THE THE EMPTY BREATH
The empty breath is modelled like an egg-shaped ball with oval circles moving inside it. But contrary to what you see in the illustration to the right, it does not have a definitive centre or border. Nor do the circles inside it. They are countless and all have two waves shaped like a yin-yang sign inside them. You cannot see those waves in the simplified illustration to the right but in the second image from here.

That the empty breath has a non-definitive form does not only mean that its edges are blurry but that neither size nor shape is constant. It may get bigger and smaller here and there so that it momentarily feels more pear than egg-shaped. It has no up and down, and the apparent centre of each of the circles inside the non-definitive ball of the empty breath is floating, so there are many non-fixed centres.

The innumerable amount of diffused shaped circles inside the non-definitive boundaries of the empty breath is located vertically and horizontally plus in between, with each of them having yin-yang-shaped waves inside them. But the circles are actually fused into one yin-yang-shaped movement rolling in all directions – a bit like in the animation in the paragraph The swing of the empty breath or the two last animations of this article.

However, since that is very difficult to comprehend in a world where we are conditioned to divide reality into more than one, most probably do not feel the totality of the empty breath but one of the many circles inside it. No worries. It is not about perfection but going with the flow as it comes to you.

The empty breath has no specific centre, and though it seems to consist of many different movements in their size and shape, everything is fused into one single move. But since this can be hard to comprehend in a world where there seems to be more than one, it is most likely easier to experience just one of its aspects at a time.

Maybe it comes in a circle going vertically from the stomach around the back of the body to the top of the head when breathing in, and from there in a circular movement in front of the body and back to the stomach when breathing out. The direction, however, does not matter. As already said, it is all about going with the flow. So if it seems to go the opposite way, by all means, follow it.

The flow can also be in a circle, about the same diameter as above, that instead goes from the abdomen to the throat or rectum to the heart. But the circle can also expand its diameter, so it goes from the abdomen to a point above the head or from the rectum further above the head. Since the latter circle metaphorically goes from hell to heaven, you may feel frightened or spaced out if you get stuck in one of those extremes. See hack #4.4 The duality flow goes to non-duality.

These are just samples. You may experience the circle bigger or smaller, for example from the heart to a point above the head. Or perhaps you feel it somewhere else, for example from the left to the right side of you or anywhere between this and the location mentioned above. You could also feel it horizontally. But no matter where you perceive the empty breath, it is the same emptiness you experience a second before the brain processes it into an experience of something perceived as substantial (read more about that here).

Going with the flow of the circular movement in one of the above circles feels like you are surfing two yin-yang-like waves inside the empty breath. But this is just one way to experience the empty breath. Below is a short introduction to ways of feeling it, then a more detailed description of each of them.

Be aware that feeling the empty breath, as described in this article, is only possible to the extent that you do not wish to be or have more because the empty breath has nothing to give but the sheer bliss of emptiness.

A BASIC INTRO TO WAYS OF FEELING THE EMPTY BREATH
Sensing the operator of the empty breath (see the below paragraph of the same name) or the indifference of it (see the section The empty breath is not the giver of joy and happiness but indifference in the article The indifference of the empty breath wash out conditioning) is a state of not-knowing in which you seem to float on clouds of bliss. In contrast, the state of not-knowing coming from the rhythmic flow of the empty breath is more like being moved by clouds of bliss.

The rhythmic flow can be heard as a distant sound (see the below paragraph The transparent sound of the empty breath) or felt inside the body (see the below section The swing of the empty breath), or sensed as if nobody is surfing the two yin-yang-like waves in and outside the body (see the next paragraph).

These categories are not meant to limit you to experience the empty breath like that, but to inspire you to go with its flow.

d76fd0833b28d1db146c08a2dd2057d91-2

Each of the non-definable circles inside the cloudy ball of the empty breath – see the previous illustration – consists of two free-flowing yin-yang-like-looking waves (without holes). They govern the physical breath, so it is not about following the extraction and contraction of the physical breath but the flow of the empty breath. It may feel like you are surfing the outside of the two yin-yang-like waves, more or less in sync with the physical breath. The colours in this image only have an illustrative purpose.

SURFING THE EMPTY BREATH
In the illustration with the red circles pictured above to the right, you see a simplified simulation of the empty breath. You cannot see that the number of circles inside it is endless. Nor does the illustration reflect that the empty breath has no definitive border or centre, and each of the circles inside it contains two non-definitive waves that you can surf. The waves look like a yin-yang sign without the holes (see the above image). They are colourless, so the colours in this image and the others in the article only have an illustrative purpose.

When the breath expands the body, you surf the outside of the yellow wave vertically from the stomach and behind the body up into the head. From there, you surf the outside of the blue wave in front of the body down to the stomach while the breath is contracting the body. That is, if you are sensing the waves in a circle going vertically from the back to the front of the body.

In the above intro to the empty breath, there is a more detailed explanation of how the circles containing the waves are arranged. As mentioned there, the circle can be smaller and bigger, and the direction does not matter. And besides surfing the two yin-yang-like waves in a vertical circle, you can surf the waves in a horizontal circle or anywhere in between.

No need to be in total sync with the rhythm of the physical expansion and contraction of the body, nor does it matter if part of the circular movement is skipped. What matters is to follow the flow as it comes to you. Doing that, you forget the physical breath. Hence it can take care of itself without you trying to inflict it with ideas of wholeness, balance and whatnot.

Maybe the most ecstatic way to surf the waves is to go the whole way around one of them and then continue by going the entire way around the other, more or less aligned with the breath extracting and contracting the body. However, many other joyous ways may be revealed when you go with the flow.

Alexius has never been surfing in the world of the outward-facing senses, so when he says going with the flow of the two yin-yang like waves in the empty breath feels like surfing, it is something he imagines based on pictures.

As already said, you can surf the waves of the empty breath in both directions. Going counterclockwise tends to lessen physical awareness, so you become less interested in returning to the conscious experience of being someone substantial in a tangible world. The same applies if the non-definable edges of the empty breath are not experienced to pass through the head but on top of it and below the abdomen.

That sets the body free, so it can follow its biological system without you trying to integrate the body with mental ideas of wellness, which is like trying to blend the material world with the immaterial world of a dream or vice versa. It does not work. Read more about that in hack #4.3 The toxic mix of physical and non-physical issues.

Since it takes more than one to feel something, it is only in a world where there seems to be more than one it is possible to feel something. Thus the more the belief in such a world is undone by the empty breath, the less you feel it.

SURFING THE EMPTY BREATH TO HEAL YOUR PROBLEMS
Alexius usually join the flow of the empty breath without thinking about direction and whatnot because, in his case, it primarily results in the sense of indifference. However, it is possible to be pickier. For example, if you worry about the past or feel pain in the back, you can get a massage by continuously surfing the whole wave behind you and leaving out the wave in front of you in a vertical circle.

Should you want to be grounded, you surf the full horizontal wave in the lower half of a vertical circle passing through the abdomen or even lower in the direction from the back to the front of you. You could also choose the bottom wave in a vertical circle going from the left to the right side of you – or the wave in the lower half in one or more circles between the two others mentioned. No reason to memorise this. Just go with the flow.

Just like what you believe in being is nothing, so is the empty breath. But unlike you, it has no need to conceal its nothingness by appearing as something specific. Consequently, there is not something that prevents it from being what and where is most beneficial for you – even under your feet if that is what it takes to make you see you are a fantasy made from nothing.

Suppose you want to enhance being impulsive or deliberate. In that case, you respectively surf all the way around the wave to the right and the left inside a horizontal circle going around the head. In a circle that also is horizontal but around the chest, you can surf all the way around the wave in front of the chest to ease the restricted feeling in the chest caused by imagined emotions there. Surfing both waves but only on the side aligned with a horizontal circle around the head or stomach is excellent in the case of vertigo.

Should you have tight hips, blocked abdomen or spasm in the lower back, you surf the whole wave behind you and then the one in front of you in a horizontal circle in that area. You could also try surfing in a similar circle where the waves are not behind and in front of you but on your sides. The size of the circle, thus the waves, adjust to the need for relaxing these areas. Should this release sadness, you may feel like crying. If so, forget about the empty breath and take the time to grieve. Then return to the same circle of the empty breath if that is what the flow calls for.

Sometimes problems like spasms are the body’s way of shaking parts of it into a position that benefits the whole. In such case, spasms should not be healed, of course. But if that is not the case, you can use the empty breath to calm down the spasms.

It may call for surfing another combination of other waves, for example the whole wave in front of you in a horizontal circle going around the abdomen and a complete wave in front of you in a vertical circle from the head to the stomach or the other way. Maybe surfing them simultaneously or whatever seems beneficial regarding getting through the problematic areas.

The empty breath is also beneficial for alleviating allergy symptoms or the symptoms of IBS and COPD, for example. However, it may not heal these or the aforementioned physical sicknesses because Alexius’ Duality Hacks aims not to heal the body but the sick belief that you are in it. Read more about that here. But since that frees the body from your domination, it can often heal itself. That said, if you want that, it is best not to use the empty breath but instead be used by it and trust it gives you what is in your best interest.

You cannot illustrate the inner breath, as it has no definitive form. This animation, however, may give you an idea about the ´structure´ of the inner breath and the high frequency of its inner movement, which seems to originate from an yin yang like curved line – not just as curved though. It feels like, it is the swing of this floating line that expands and contracts the body, so that it breathes in and out. Unlike an yin yang sign the inner breath is not a flat circle with a curved line, but rather a ball wherein the curved line swings upwards and downwards as well as sideways, forwards and backwards and everything in between. Unfortunately the animation is not able illustrate that, neither how slow the swing of it actually feels in the body. Even though it extremely active inside the ball, the experience of it is that it has all the time in the world to expand and contract the body.

It is impossible to illustrate the swing of the empty breath because it has no definable form or movement. However, this animation may give you an idea about how the swing of it feels like it comes from the blurred curved line between the two shapes of a yin-yang sign – but less curved. The swing of this line expands and contracts the body so that it breathes in and out. But unlike in a yin-yang sign, the swing of the empty breath is not inside a flat circle but a non-definable ball, in which there are many similar circles with each their curved line. Depending on where one of these circles is experienced to be located, the swing of the empty breath is experienced to swing upwards and downwards, sideways, forwards and backwards or anywhere in between. Unfortunately, the animation is not really illustrating this. Although the swing of it is magnificent, its experience often is that it is very laid-back in expanding and contracting the body.

THE SWING OF THE EMPTY BREATH
What is said above about surfing the empty breath generally also applies to feeling the swing of it, except that this is solely felt inside the body. There the movement of the non-definitive curved line between the two yin-yang-like waves is sensed as a swing that extracts and contracts the body in a steady rhythmic flow of breathing in and out. Due to the definitive size of the body, this line feels less curved and probably also shorter than the line in between the two waves described above.

The steady swing of the empty breath may seem to expand and contract the body slower than when you imagined being in charge of the breath. Maybe the break in between expansion and contraction also feels too long. But the swing of the empty breath probably feels more powerful – so much indeed that at first, it feels like the body does not have enough room for it.

Surfing the empty breath is done on the waves in any of the circles within the non-definitive border of the empty breath, whereas the swing of it is the movement of the curved line between the two yin-yang-like waves in any of the circles.

In other words, the curved line is not just pumping from the back to front concerning the body but also up and down, from side to side and everywhere in between, which you may sense in the illustration to the left. Though you can feel all these directions simultaneously, it probably is so unfamiliar that you may prefer to feel the swing of the empty breath in one circle at a time.

The circles with the swing of the empty breath are more egg-shaped (see the illustration). But you will not notice that because it is only the swing of the curved line inside inside ‘the egg’ that you feel, probably in a way that does not seem logical. Breathing in, you may solely experience the swing of the empty breath in the bottom of ‘the egg’ and breathing out, in the top of it – or the other way around, or only in the bottom, or the top. You can also experience the whole curved line going back and forth or up and down simultaneously.

Like the other ways of feeling the empty breath, it presupposes you acknowledge you are not in control. Using the technique for the taste of life, you automatically lose control because, whether you taste it or not, the method is beneficial for defocusing. And without focus, you are out of control. Read about the taste of life and focus versus defocus in The four aspects of Enlightenment and how to sample them.

If you experience the swing of the empty breath in all the egg-shaped circles simultaneously, the fusion of them at first feels as if everything is spinning. See the speedy animation just below. But it quickly becomes a feeling of everything standing so still – see the third image from here – that you feel the bliss of being indifferent to what and where you appear to be.

Connecting to the inner breath is fortunately not about perfection, as that requires much control and therefore blocks the inner breath to move on its own accord. The inner breath is always connected to you, but you cannot feel it if your purpose is to be someone definitive. In other words not being anybody the inner breath is not hidden. In fact it is very intense.

The swing of the empty breath is not felt as fast as the movements in this animation, but rather like a steady ongoing rhythm with much force that expands and contracts the body. Yet the resulting breath in the body is often very subtle. It probably seems slower than you are used to – unlike the operator of the empty breath, which is a rush of energy within the non-definable ball. Even though the particles of this force are moving completely unstructured and at any speed, fast or slow – a bit like in this animation – it is such a relief to merge with this apparent chaos because that prevents you from focussing on anything specific. Hence you feel like a fountain sparkling with joy.

THE OPERATOR OF THE EMPTY BREATH
Besides feeling the swing of the empty breath or as if you are surfing yin-yang-like waves more or less in alignment with the extraction and contraction of the physical breath, you can also feel a constant rush of energy within the non-definable border of the empty breath. This chaotic energy is not rhythmic but irregular at the root of the empty breath. Yet, it is the force behind the constant rhythm of the empty breath. The feeling of it is a subtle sense of being here and everywhere, or as if spinning through a world with no limits and where you are not defined as someone.

There are no rules, but it could very well be that a take-off into the empty breath will take you to this aspect of it – and what a relief it is to float in chaos instead of having to fit into the rigid world of the outward-facing senses.

Unlike the swing of the empty breath, but like surfing its waves, this force is sensed inside and outside the body. It is often easier to feel its subtle but erratic energy outside of the body, where the dense bodily feeling is not an obstacle. If you do not try to catch its abstractness but go with its fleetness, you feel like a fountain of sparkling joy.

Sensing the operator of the empty breath outside of the body, you will automatically be taken inside, as the operator does not know one from the other. From there you probably are transferred to the rhythmic flow of surfing or feeling the swing of the empty breath.

The apparent chaos at the root of the empty breath, where the operator of it resides and where you often land after igniting the empty breath, is therefore a good starting point, when you want to be in the rhythmic flow of the empty breath.

If you, out of habit, try to focus on the empty breath to hear its transparent sound (see the next paragraph) or feel its rhythmic flow, you are bound to perceive it as something and thus fence it off. A more beneficial way to approach the rhythmic flow and transparent sound of the empty breath is to start in the chaos of its root – whether sensed in front or back of the body, on top of it or all around it – because that leaves nothing specifically for you to focus on, wherefore there is not something definitive blocking out hearing or feeling the rhythmic flow of the empty breath.

Hearing/feeling the sound of the inner breath, you feel transparent, as if there is nothing to separate you from where you appear to be. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

Hearing or feeling the sound of the empty breath, you seem transparent as if there is not something separating you from other appearances in the world of the outward-facing senses. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

THE TRANSPARENT SOUND OF THE EMPTY BREATH
Just like the rhythm of bass is heard and felt in the body, so is the sound of the empty breath, which is like ‘so’ when it expands the body and ‘ham’ when it contracts it.

Sometimes it is like this rhythmic sound of ‘so-ham’ comes from the nose but at other times, it is sensed from an undefined space in the back of the head. And then again, the sound does not seem to have a definable location, so it is neither experienced to be inside nor outside the head. It may even appear to originate from an invisible space outside the body like it has nothing to do with the body.

And as that is actually so, feeling the sound of the empty breath is not a compelling experience like feeling the rhythm of the bass because it cancels out the feeling of being in a body – as if there is no definable border between the body and its apparent surrounding. A sofa, for example, does not seem to differ from the body sitting in it.

This is because you do not perceive bodily experience as specific when you are deeply connected with the empty breath (read more about that here). Thus there is no inside and outside and nothing to define a world where there seems to be more than one, wherefore it becomes evident that it is unreal. But like the reality in the world of a game is the same whether you know it is fictional, the reality of a world where there seems to be more than one remains the same even though you sense it is an illusion. However, your relationship with it changes. Being someone in such a world is all pretence – like it is, within that reality, when you pretend to be in the world of a game. See hack #1.3 Pretending to be someone definitive).

Do not get attached to the rhythm of the empty breath, because the feeling of the rhythm is related to the body, so it stops when the body does not function anymore.

Since a rhythm has a beginning and an end, it is best not to get attached to the rhythm of the empty breath, because it ends when the body stops to function. At that moment, it is better to merge with the indifference of the empty breath or the non rhythmic and very chaotic energy in its operator, so there is not something specific to stop the Enlightenment of that which is One from absorbing the nothingness of you.

Via the transparent sound of the empty breath, you naturally float into glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One. The visual-minded will experience this as visions of light, and the auditory-minded as ethereal harmonies. However, if you are more emotional-minded, you may feel the vibration that Aum, Sohang, and The Word of God symbolise or taste its sweetness. The glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One are revealed as the Enlightenment of that which is One if not interpreted to differ from each other. See the article The four aspects of Enlightenment and how to sample them.

The connection with the empty breath is a state of not-knowing. Therefore, since there is no notion of separation, the apparent difference between past, now and future or you and Alexius does not make a difference.

It is not possible to illustrate the inner breath in its totality. This yon yang animation (please abstract from the holes) though may give you an idea of the simultaneously movement of the two waves inside the inner breath.

It is not possible to illustrate the empty breath in its totality. But this yin-yang animation (please ignore the holes in the waves and imagine it is completely full of waves) may give you an idea about the simultaneous movement of the yin-yang-like waves inside it.

THE CONNECTEDNESS WITH THE EMPTY BREATH IS A STATE OF NOT-KNOWING
Nobody really knows what the connectedness with the empty breath feels like because it is a state of not-knowing. So Alexius had to go back and forth between a state of not-knowing and the conscious experience of being someone to compile distant memories of how the empty breath feels. Hence, his writing about it may seem patchy and confusing. If so, do not try to correct your disorientation but use it to ignite a take-off into the empty breath. See how to do that in Take-offs into the empty breath and How to ignite a take-off into the empty breath.

The empty breath is not only to be experienced within its border, because it has no specific border, so if you experience it somewhere else, you have really become indifferent to the belief in being someone definitive, as only as such would you expect to experience it somewhere specific.

Please remember that even though the connectedness with the empty breath is impersonal, your memory of it is personal. Therefore, you may have different memories from those of Alexius.

If still confused, you are welcome to mail Alexius, although using your uncertainty to ignite a take-off into the empty breath is preferable because he can help neither you nor himself as he sees nobody in need of help.

Thus, you better read about it until you can hardly stay awake. Then go to bed, forget what you read, close your eyes, and most likely, you feel the empty breath one way or another. Indeed, the feeling will rapidly change. That is, if you do not try to hang onto one of them. In that case, you miss the empty breath.

However, your eyes do not have to be closed, and you do not have to go to bed to connect with the empty breath. And you can sit anywhere in any position. You can also walk, run or talk. But you cannot bring about the empty breath by manipulating the physical breath or exercising any other form of control. Instead, it is the other way around. When you go with the flow, the empty breath joins you.

A bicycle has nothing to do with the place, it is transporting you to.

This is not to say that techniques cannot be helpful with toning down the experience of you as someone definitive so that the apparent existence of you in a tangible world does not seem to be a fact but make-believe. But unfortunately, most forget that techniques have nothing to do with what they seem to accomplish. Just like a remote control have nothing to do with the music, it triggers.

The look of these sound waves reminds me in some ways of how it feels to be connected with the inner breath.

The look of these sound waves reminds Alexius of how the connectedness with the empty breath often feels and how that makes him indifferent to the apparent differences in the world experienced outside him.

NOTE ABOUT THE ILLUSTRATIONS
Alexius searched the web for animations and still photos to illustrate the different movements of the empty breath in the way he remembers them. He does not know if the illustrators had the empty breath in mind when they made these images – but probably not. Except for the three last ones, the animations are grabbed from Electromagnetic Plasma Energy Light.

4.4 Sadness is a close friend of gladness [draft]

Updated June 8, 2022

When feeling sad is perceived as ‘it is what it is,’ it is revealed to be paired with gladness. This revelation sets off the experience of other duality pairs, for example weakness and wellness, disappointment and contentment or tears and laughter. Going with the duality flow, you, eventually, feel so entertained that you cannot ask for more. Thus there is no need for duality. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Suppose you do not acknowledge the negativity in yourself but project it onto others. In that case, you disconnect yourself from the positivity inside you because it is your negativity that defines it. The same applies if you hide negative thoughts and feelings from your awareness by projecting them onto vulnerable parts of your body. Long story short, when you do not ratify your negativity, the experience of being positive is fake. Read here about how you quickly bring back what you have projected onto others.

To formulate genuine positivity in you, the negativity you encompass but have cut off from your awareness must be restored as yours. This is done by acknowledging it is your own negativity you face when you perceive something in the world as unfavourable because what you receive is what you have. Just like the sun’s colouration of your skin is determined by the pigmentation inside you. This does not mean you have a beggar inside when you see someone begging on the street. But if you deem that as negative, you have this negativity inside you.

Just like a quick look from above is sufficient to ratify if there is the water in a well, a glance of the negativity inside you is enough to feel you have it, so your reaction to it can be perceived as ‘it is what it is.’ This literally opens up your response and reveals its counterpart. Read more about that here. Since the experience of this, and any other, polarity makes you feel complete, the belief in duality can be undone completely.

In hack #4.2 The brain’s script and how to perceive it to feel happy, you can read about how the perception ´it is what it is´reveals that your singular opinion of something is twofold. Hence you do not get the frustration of singularity but the satisfaction of togetherness.

Any experience perceived as positive is bound to be complemented by another deemed as negative because everything comes in pairs of opposing experiences in a world of duality. A foreground, for example, is paired with a background so that they can define each other. Read more about the contrasts of duality here. For example, negative thinking confirms positivity, hate verifies love, sadness substantiates gladness, and so on. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

This was the short version. The longer one is that when you begin acknowledging negativity as your own, its interplay with positivity may not get your attention right away. Instead, you may feel like going to hell because you are overwhelmed by forgotten and unpleasant emotions that keep coming out of the dark. Read more about that here. Perhaps this starts slowly with a familiar sense of depression that you a long time ago hid from your awareness by imagining dumping it behind the feeling of a vulnerable part of the body.

But since depression often is repressed anger, sooner or later, it flares out in brutal hellfire. Maybe it feels as if acid-like splashes come out of the body part where you initially imagined hiding your anger. Or perhaps it feels like a ruthless and evil force tortures you.

When something inside of you, interpreted specifically as evil, is perceived as ´it is what it is,´ it turns out to contain goodness. Likewise, there is success in failure and an angel in a monster. However, none of these opposing elements are important in themselves. It is the interaction of them that feels like paradise, whereas standing explicitly by on one of them feels like shit.

Not avoiding but acknowledging the feeling of hell, this single-minded response can be perceived as ‘it is what it is. Since that turns it into a dualistic reaction, hell is not alone anymore but complemented by heaven. Amazed by this polarity, you realise there is no heaven without hell in a world of duality – just like there is no breathing in without breathing out. You cannot have one without the other. They are like two sides of the same coin.

In other words, the acknowledgement of hell does not make it go away but unmasks heaven, which lay bare hell. This interaction does not happen in a balanced or harmonious way, but in an adventurous manner in which you experience rapidly going up and down between the pleasure of heaven and the displeasure of hell – like having fun going up and down on a roller coaster or relaxing playing yoyo. You can also compare it to the ocean waves: sometimes they are big and fast, at other times they are small and slow or hardly there.

Since duality is about twofoldness, and you believe to be in a world of duality, going with the interaction of hell and heaven makes you feel complete. And since this automatically leads to the experience of other pairs of duality, the feeling of completeness, eventually, becomes so intense that you forget to define yourself by duality. Consequently, there does not appear to be someone hiding non-duality. The process leading up to this may seem more comfortable if the problematic areas in the body, where you once attempted to conceal singular feelings, are fixed.

If you acknowledge every feeling that pops up, there are no feelings to hide. Consequently, you are free from fear.

In a world of duality, everything comes in pairs. So if you do not try to split any of them to hold onto a singular perspective of love, for example, you are aligned with duality. This does not mean things work better for you, but that it does not bother you. You feel complete because you are in the duality flow. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

When dualism is accepted, you cannot suppress a singular feeling, such as hate, because its nature is constantly interacting with love, so none of them is permanent. Consequently, if you have imagined hiding hatred in a tension of the body, hate starts interacting with love when you acknowledge duality.

Therefore, since you stop focusing on the tension where you wanted to hide hate, the communication between the body and the brain is not blocked anymore. And since it has the blueprint of the body’s composition, the brain can restore the body by its anatomy with the help of nature and health care professionals.

The brain automatically maintains the body if you do not try to perfect it through mental ideas of wellness, yoga, for example. The body sees such attempts as an attack on its physical integrity.

In a world of duality, there is nothing better than the duality flow. But since most want to be in control and establish that via single-minded postulates, it may, at first, feel anxiety-provoking to be in the duality flow. To stop the constant interaction of opposing experiences, you may decide to be unquestionably right about something. Although this gives you a sense of superiority, the overall feeling is despair because you never seem to get it quite right. That is until you stop upholding singular opinions as facts but go with the duality flow. In that, any point of view is exposed as twofold. Thus you feel nonsectarian, which is necessary to feel completed by the constant interaction of opposites in a world of duality. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

To clarify, the brain, not you, is supposed to handle the body. But of course, you call a health care professional if it needs help. But it does not need your help connecting with nature. The brain is already hooked you up with the cosmos. That is why you do not fall off the planet, for example. When mental ideas do not disrupt this linkage with the universe, you feel entirely connected.

This does not mean you must abandon your wellness ideas to feel connected with nature but that you perceive your interpretation of them as ‘it is what it is.’ This reveals your reasoning is not singular but dual. Therefore, since you are in a world of duality, you are aligned with its nature. Being that, you do not wonder what is coming because you are in the duality flow. Read more about that here. Hence your next step comes automatically – just like breathing in follows breathing out.

All in all, there is nothing you need to stop thinking or doing if you want to undo the belief in duality. It ends by itself if your interpretations of your experiences are perceived as ‘it is what it is.’ This, as already said, aligns you with the world of duality, and since everything has a beginning and end in such a world, your dualistic interpretation is the beginning of the end.

Here you can read more about the obstruction of the natural relationship between the brain and the body and how the connection can be restored.

A state of not-knowing does not provide you with the fulfilment of duality but the bliss of nothing. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Should the descent into hell* seem so distressing that you overlook its counterpart, relaxation, a break from duality may be the way to go. This is not done by pacifying yourself via meditation, praying or sedative music, for example, but by not withholding your anxiety, so the full speed of it can ignite a take-off into the empty breath (read more about that in hack #5.1 Uncontrolled speed leads to a state of not-knowing).

The empty breath immediately brings you into a state of not-knowing, where experiences go on as usual. But since there is nobody to respond to them, there are no reactions to establish them as different. Hence the idea that you can be and have more than that which is one falls apart. And so does the brain after 20 minutes, 45 at most, because it has nothing to process. Therefore, if you do not want to undo the belief in duality permanently, you should not remain in a state of not-knowing too long at a time (read more about that here).

Fortunately, not much time is needed in a state of not-knowing to have the slate wiped clean (read more about that here), so you return to a world of duality as the basic self Read more about that here. Since it perceives your response to an experience as ‘it is what it is,’ your reaction is not sensed as singular but twofold. Therefore, as you probably already have figured out, descending to hell is complemented by ascending to heaven. Therefore, since you feel complete, you have a whole breath from hell to heaven. If you are into chakras, you go from the root chakra to the eighth about the head, for example by surfing one of the circles in the empty breath. See the paragraph SURFING THE EMPTY BREATH in What does the empty breath feel like?

This is not to say that non-duality is a fusion of heaven and hell or the union of all contrasts. On the contrary, non-duality is not anything, nor nothing, because it takes more than one to be something. Yet it is everything because non-duality is formless, thus endless.

However, the topic of hack #4.4 The duality flow goes to non-duality is not non-duality but duality. You need to be fully anchored in the idea that you are someone in a world of duality if you want to undo that belief – just like you need to play a game to finish it. Hence we continue in the context of duality in the following article ‘What if…?’ versus ‘it is what it is’.

*) You may find the book Descent to the Goddess interesting regarding the descent to hell, even though it is not in line with Alexius’ Duality Hacks and is supposedly only for women.

CANCELLEX ‘The Enlightenment of that which is One’ cannot be known, but glimpses of it can

Updated June 2, 2022

People have extraordinary ideas about Enlightenment. Some think it is pure love, consciousness or the ability to see through all illusions. But seeing or being something requires more than one. Thus the Enlightenment they are dreaming about is not the Enlightenment of that which is One. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

Often those talking about Enlightenment try to give the impression that they know what it is. So if you have chosen to believe their explanations, you probably dismiss the Enlightenment of that which is One when it hits you because it has nothing to do with anything anybody claims to know. Enlightenment of that which is One is formless, so it cannot be described or defined.

Therefore, if somebody refers to experiences of Enlightenment, it is not the Enlightenment of that which is One. Since it takes more than one to experience something, it cannot be experienced. But glimpses of it can be experienced–  just like you use the outward-facing senses to experience a tangible world that appears to be outside of you, you can use the inward-facing senses to become aware of an abstract world with glimpses of Enlightenment inside you.

If you tend to sense the world of the outward-facing senses in an auditory way, the inward-facing senses may not reveal visual glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One but auditory ones, so instead of a revelation of light, it is a revelation of ethereal harmonies. Just like the outward-facing senses see, hear feel and taste a world outside you, the inward-facing senses do the same inside you.

In short, when the outward-facing senses are partly closed, you experience glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One with the inward-facing senses in the same way as you see, hear, feel and taste something with the outward-facing senses. On the other hand, if the latter is fully turned off, the Enlightenment of that which is One is bid welcome. However, as already said, this is not an experience, as it takes more than one to be aware of something.

A staircase seems to make you feel, that there is something on top to be experienced.

A staircase implies more on top, so if you go up there, you feel that you experience more and thus feel more alive. But in reality, you cannot be more alive. That takes more than one, and life is that which is one. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Going back to the first moment of duality

Updated June 27, 2022

You and the world is fabricated at the edge of a black hole, which you have imagined to be a way out of that which is one – and to make it appear as if you are right, you divide all the appearances of this fabrication by separating them into good and bad, so that it seems you are in a world, where there is more than that which is one. What you appear to be, was dreamed up at the edge of a black hole through which you believed to have escaped that which is One. This rebelliousness you continue in a world of duality, where you do not accept that everything comes in pairs of opposites. You fight this basic rule of duality by separating the constant interaction of opposing components into disconnected elements that do not support but fight each other, for example love an hate.

This explanation is, of course, as fictious as anything else in a world of duality, including Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings. But since they do not claim to be real, reading them may expose everything experienced is unreal.

The inner senses are not limited by the ideas of time and space, so it is not a problem for them to pick the echo of that which is one coming from the beginning of the world, which also is the end of it.

The inward-facing senses are not limited by the ideas of time and space, so it is not a problem for them to pick up the echo of oneness coming from the beginning of the world.

THE HUMMING FROM THE EDGE OF THE UNIVERSE
Depending on your preference in the world of duality, the echo of non-duality is either experienced as a sound, feeling, light or taste coming from the edge of the universe – one at a time, though, as they are aspects of oneness. However, this article is mainly about hearing or feeling the echo of non-duality, often symbolised by Aum and Sohang.

As non-duality is formless, thus endless, it is everything. Thus the experience of more than one is an illusion.

When the outward-facing senses are partially closed, the inward-facing ones, which are not limited by time and space, can tune into the echo of non-duality, so you can hear or feel it. What you hear or feel, though, is not non-duality but a glimpse of it because non-duality cannot be experienced.

Non-duality is the absence of attention, awareness, consciousness, love or anything else that requires more than one.

If the outward-facing senses are entirely closed, a world defined by time and space cannot be experienced. Therefore, since there is nothing to prevent the abstract world of the inward-facing senses from completely taking over, there is not something that appears to hide the Enlightenment of that which is One. But this is not the subject of this article. It is written within the context of time and space.

The edge of the universe can be heard, felt, tasted and seen, as if it is in yourself and not far away. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

The edge of the universe can be heard, felt, tasted and seen as if it is not far away but in you.

Feeling or hearing the humming from the edge of the universe, you do not perceive differences to make a difference. Therefore, you return to the origin of duality, where nothing seemed wrong. Hence every moment was the perfect moment.

Check the article The Enlightenment of that which is One versus glimpses of it for a deeper exploration of the Enlightenment of that which is One versus glimpses of it. In the article, Life has no secrets, you can learn how to hear and/or feel the humming from the edge of the universe. The perfect moment you can read about in hack #3.1 Every moment is the perfect moment.

In The four aspects of Enlightenment and how to sample them, there are practical instructions on how to have glimpses of Enlightenment.

You think you have escaped that which is one through an black hole looking a bit like an embryo into a world where there seems to be more than one. But it is a fantasy. It is not possible. There is no black hole, because there is no more than that which is one. Consequently I can only show you a fantasy picture of the black hole, that is imagined to look a bit like an embryo or a horse head. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

You think you have escaped that which is One through a black hole into a world where there seems to be more than one. But it is a fantasy. There is no way to escape oneness because it is formless, thus endless. Consequently, this image of a black hole that may look like an embryo or a horse head is fake.

IN THE BEGINNING, EVERYTHING SEEMED PERFECT
You escaped non-duality through a black hole you imagined seeing at the edge of non-duality. Everything seemed perfect until you looked for differences and discovered the fantasies about more than one kept coming out of the black hole. But you thought you could handle this disruption by pairing opposing elements into pairs of duality.

However, there were not enough elements to complete your project. This made you so angry that your rage ignited an explosion in the black hole that made a world of your duality pairs in which you now spend all your time looking for the missing pieces.

Truth is that which is One. Consequently there is no truth in a world, where there seems to be more than one.

PERFECTION IS A FAIRYTALE
If you are a factual-minded person, you may ask, where are the facts behind the above explanation. There are no facts because a world of duality is fake. There is nothing but non-duality since it is formless, thus endless. In other words, the above is as made up as anything else in a world of duality. Nevertheless, Alexius’ little fable may remind you that non-duality is all there is.

If so, use it to go back to the big bang coming out of a black hole, so you can be filled with glimpses of Enlightenment if you keep your inward-facing senses partially open. If wholly opened, the nothingness of you is sucked through a black hole into that which is One.

However, this path is not more or less real than another. Yet while believing to be in a world of duality, there probably is a way that seems better for you. Therefore, if one or more of Alexius’ Duality Hacks appear to be your way, use them to undo the belief in duality. But please do not use them to prove that you are on the right track and others are wrong.

Also, do not try to adjust to the terminology of Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings. They are not a belief system where you find the meaning of life. On the contrary, they undo the belief in being someone living in a world of duality.

NOTES:

The outward-facing senses versus the inward-facing ones

Updated June 17, 2022

Those who hear or feel the humming coming from far away echoing that which is One cannot use it to make themselves or the world better. But they will be used as a door to close the experience of a world where there seems to be more than one, so there is no experience to hide that which cannot be experienced, namely that which is One. This does not mean they will be transformed because that requires more than one. Neither does it mean they will cease to exist because they have never existed since there is no more than that which is One since it is formless, thus endless. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

If a world where there seems to be more than one is unreal, but that which I am is real, it is impossible to be in such a world. Yet it seems possible to pretend it. This is to say that the below article is written within the framework of Alexius pretending that. Thus, his experiences described below – for example when the Earth stopped moving – are as illusionary as any other experience in a world where there seems to be more than one.

THE OUTWARD-FACING SENSES VERSUS THE INWARD ONES
The first time the world stood still was in Alexius’ teen years. He looked out the window, and everything was covered by snow. It was like the whiteness outside of him turned everything white inside him to the sound of Donovan gently singing Jennifer Juniper coming from his speakers.

He forgot to participate in the story of time and space. The air was perceived so thin that there was no space between anything. Although music was coming out of his speakers, the silence was so loud that all he heard was the echo of that which is One.

Much later on a walk along the sea, the echo of oneness was there again – and not so much later, when he was walking on a pedestrian street busy handing out flyers, the distant echo of oneness was so intense that even though people were moving around him, there was no movement and no people. He did not know what it was, but it did not seem tangible.

After being accustomed to hearing the echo of that which is One, he realised that this distant humming is what the words Aum, Sohang or The Word of God symbolise and that the reason people do not hear it is that they are expecting those words to reveal a higher understanding. But there is no understanding to be revealed, neither is there any need for that, when you hear the distant humming that Aum, Sohang and The Word of God symbolise.

Read Life has no secrets, if you want to learn how to hear and feel the vibration that AumSohang and The Word of God symbolise.

I never do anything so-called spiritual. When I wake up in the mornings I go for a long walk, until I come to this point and return back home. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Alexius never do anything so-called spiritual, such as meditation. But in the mornings, he goes for a long walk from where he often returns home after hearing the echo of oneness. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

THE ECHO OF THAT WHICH IS ONE
The word guitar is a symbol of something that makes fantastic sounds. But you do not sense them when reading the word unless you have heard them before.

This is the same regarding Aum, Sohang or The Word of God. Those words symbolise the distant humming of oneness. But if you have not heard the unpronounceable vibration of oneness, they will not remind you that it can be compared to the distant sound you hear coming from a computer when your ear is close to it.

To be so close to the computer, though, you have to stop focusing on the world empowered on its screen. The same applies to hearing or feeling the distant echo of oneness coming from the edge of the universe. In other words, you must stop focusing on the appearances in a world where there seems to be more than one to hear the echo of oneness.

You can also compare the echo to transparently hearing the purring of a cat, or feeling your body vibrating like that, or trembling of fear but without fearing something, or shaking of coldness but more lightly and not feeling cold or anything specifically, or feeling the bubbling effect in the body from quickly drinking the foam of Coca-Cola. Furthermore, it can be compared to a subtle version of the sound coming from a vacuum cleaner, the ventilation in an airport, or from the edge of the breath (not the sound of breathing in or out, but at the edge of them).

The echo of oneness hangs about a world where there seems to be more than one. It is the engine of that world but not in the sense that it produces it. It echoes that which has no beginning or end, so it cannot create anything specific. Yet its energy is used to keep together the imagination of a world where there seems to be more than one – just like it is the dreamer’s energy that makes it possible to have a dream. But it is impossible to manifest the dreamer in the dream – likewise, oneness cannot do anything in a world where there seems to be more than one.

The vibration that ‘Aum’ and ‘Sohang’ symbolises is your launching pad to non-duality.

Therefore, if you are dreaming about getting famous or rich or making the world a better place per a specific belief, this primordial vibration is not for you. It knows of nothing to achieve or make better. On the contrary, it undoes everything conceivable, so there is nothing but that which is One, thus nothing but peace, because it takes more than one to not be at peace.

Glimpses of Enlightenment are not experienced in the body you used to know. It is rather like when the anaesthesia a dentist has made in the mouth slowly stops working. You feel something, but it is not as if it is the body you used to know. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

THE ENLIGHTENMENT OF THAT WHICH IS ONE VERSUS GLIMPSES OF IT
The Enlightenment of that which is One cannot be experienced as that requires more than one. Therefore, the above is not about the Enlightenment of that which is One but about having glimpses of it in hearing the vibration that Aum, Sohang or The Word of God symbolise. Such glimpses you have when the definable world of the outward-facing senses is so far-off that the distant humming from the edge of the universe is the nearest.

But this is just one aspect of having glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One. The other ones are striking visions of light, hearing the crispness of ethereal harmonies, tasting the sweetness of oneness, or feeling any of these expressions. However, since society is very focused on visual impact, you may only have heard of the visual aspect of the Enlightenment of that which is One.

The inward-facing senses reveal the glimpses when the outward-facing ones are partly closed. Thus they are not physically tangible. As long you experience the Enlightenment of that which is One in one of its aspects, you have glimpses of it. But if you stop perceiving one of these aspects as it consists of different elements, there is nothing to define you as an experiencer. Therefore, since there is not someone definitive experiencing them, there is no difference between them and you. That is the Enlightenment of that which is One (hack #6.1 From the inward-facing senses through a black hole into that which is One).

Having fun exploring the world of the outward-facing senses. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

REALITY IS NEVER-ENDING. THUS EVERYTHING THAT ENDS IS UNREAL
Compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One or having glimpses of it, appearing to be someone in the world of the outward-facing senses feels like a distraction. But why not enjoy it. There is nothing to lose. You are not someone definitive, so you can pretend to be anybody in the world of the outward-facing senses. If you are into concepts of love, you can perceive the world through such glasses as if everything is love or a cry for love. It is all make-believe, so anything will do. See hack #1.3 Pretending to be someone definitive is liberation.

When the world experienced through the outward-facing senses is an illusion, one may conclude that the world experienced through the inward-facing senses is real. But what is real never ends, so both the inward and outward-facing senses are unreal as all their experiences have an end  – including glimpses of Enlightenment.

THE ENLIGHTENMENT OF THAT WHICH IS ONE IS A JOURNEY WITHOUT DISTANCE TO THAT WHICH IS ONE
Metaphorically speaking, you can say that what you experience via the inward-facing senses is a wall surrounding that which is One. The wall seems to have no substance. Yet it can be seen, heard, felt or tasted. Suppose you do not try to define this. In that case, the outward-facing senses have nothing to work with and a door that looks like a black hole, with a thin frame of white light inside it and rapidly spiralling bright light around it, suddenly and very quickly sucks you into it.

However, since the black hole has no end, you do not reach oneness. Nevertheless, since you leave the belief that you are someone you are where you always have been and will be, namely in the oneness of that which is you. In other words, you have never been definable or experienced anything. Fortunately, that is an illusion.

‘The Enlightenment of that which is One’ and glimpses of it

Updated June 20, 2022

There are specific steps to follow when you want something in a world where there seems to be more than one. But there are no steps to follow to undo the belief that you are in such a world. On the contrary, believing there is, enhances the belief that you are real, and so it will continue to hide what is real, namely the formlessness of oneness. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

PART 1:
In the world of the inward-facing
senses, the Enlightenment of that which is One or glimpses of it is available for you regardless of the state of your body, how and where it is positioned and if you know anything about Enlightenment. It is merely a matter of not focusing on being someone definitive. The less focus on that, the less the substantial world of the outward-facing senses blocks the abstractness of the inward-facing senses.

Hence glimpses of Enlightenment can be experienced as visions of light, ethereal harmonies, a shivering feeling of total emptiness or a taste of sweetness. But to welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One, you must completely forget the outward-facing senses.

However, like a movie trailer is not the movie, the glimpses of Enlightenment are not the Enlightenment of that which is One. But unlike a movie trailer which does not contain the whole film, glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One has it. Therefore, when you stop distinguishing the glimpses, they are no longer different experiences but the Enlightenment of that which is One.

There is no transition from glimpses of Enlightenment to the Enlightenment of that which is One because either there is separation or not. But since there is no time in the Enlightenment of that which is One, you are unaware that you used to believe in a world where there seems to be more than one.

Nevertheless, you are aware that the Enlightenment of that which is One will terminate your consciousness, abruptly and ultimately, because you sense the nothingness of you endlessly falling into that which is One. But since you are scared of the unknown and it requires more than one to be afraid of something, you immediately return to a world where there seems to be more than one.*

This is like dreaming about going to the moon and suddenly waking up in your bed. There is no conscious transition, and you are not an astronaut who has been to the moon. You are what you were before dreaming about it. Likewise, you are not aware of any transition to a world where there seems to be more than one when you return from the Enlightenment of that which is One. You are not enlightened. Nothing has changed, except you are aware everything experienced is fake because you are to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One, thus not what you are experienced to be.

The Enlightenment of that which is One is not a state because being in a state requires more than one. But a glimpse of it is a state and thus not lasting since everything definable has a beginning and end. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Nobody can attest to this because it requires more than one. For the same reason, you only have vague memories of leaving your personality behind and as nothing floating into the formlessness of oneness. They pop up every time you have glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One.

As it takes more than one to be aware of something, it is impossible to welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One while being conscious of something.

Unlike the Enlightenment of that which is One, its glimpses do not wipe out thoughts. But someone compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One does not notice them because there is no need to use them for a spiritual image of yourself or a better world. However, when the glimpses are far away, the bliss of nothing is replaced by the darkness of something.

This many solve by using the light in themselves to suppress the darkness, so they appear to light up a world of darkness. But that is not the Enlightenment of that which is One. It does not light up anything because it takes more than one to do so, and there is no more than one in the Enlightenment of that which is One.

Hanging onto a phoney image of yourself, you will not have more glimpses of Enlightenment until you do not want to use the glimpses but be used by them. Hence they, eventually, erase all wishes to improve a world where there seems to be more than one so that nobody is bidding welcome the Enlightenment of that which is On.

It takes more than one to do something and there is no more than oneness since it is formless, thus endless. Hence you cannot leave it. However, since reading this requires more than one, you believe to be in a world where there seems to be more than one. Thus going back to oneness is about undoing that belief.

PART 2:
Often those who talk about Enlightenment give the impression that they know what it is. And since their explanations are very convincing, seen in the context of a world where there seems to be more than one, you probably dismiss the Enlightenment of that which is One if it hits you. It is not as described. Since it is formless, it is not an experience you go through.

Therefore, if somebody refers to experiences of Enlightenment, it is not the Enlightenment of that which is One but glimpses of it which can be experienced via the inward-facing senses.

If you tend to sense the world of the outward-facing senses in an auditory way, the inward-facing senses may not reveal visual glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One but auditory ones. In other words, instead of glimpses of light, you get samples of ethereal harmonies. Like the outward-facing senses see, hear, feel and taste a world that appears to be outside of you, the inward-facing senses do the same inside you.

In short, when the outward-facing senses are partly closed, you experience glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One via the inward-facing senses in the same way you see, hear, feel and taste something with the outward-facing senses. But if the latter is fully turned off, the Enlightenment of that which is One is bid welcome. However, as already said, this is not an experience since it takes more than one to be aware of something. See hack #6.1 The Enlightenment of that which is One.

If you think a sign pointing towards Berlin Airport has anything to do with the airport except from pointing towards it, you are mistaken. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

If you think a sign pointing towards Berlin Airport has anything to do with the airport except pointing towards it, you will never fly off. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

APPENDIX
A traffic sign pointing towards, for example, Berlin Airport has nothing to do with Berlin or the airport, even though there maybe is an illustration of an aeroplane on the sign. Besides, it cannot take you to Berlin Airport. All it can do is show the way.

Likewise, you cannot find the formlessness of oneness in Alexius’ Duality Hacks. They do not even point towards it, but to the belief in being someone definitive, so you can see it hides the formlessness of oneness. Yet there is no specific sequence you must follow to undo this belief and welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One. That would be the foundation for replacing the old belief with a new one. Alexius did not know anything about the Enlightenment of that which is One when he bid it welcome. He did not even know that he bid it welcome.

*) Had you regularly applied one or more of the Duality Hacks #1-5, the Enlightenment of that which is One (hack #6.1) would not scare you because you would not believe to be someone definitive, thus not having something to lose. Read more about the fear of oneness in The fear of Enlightenment. And check out how to call off specific emotions such as fear in hack #4.4 The duality flow goes to non-duality so that bidding welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One is not frightening.

Are there degrees of Enlightenment?

Updated June 2, 2022

Enlightenment can also be felt and heard in several degrees. AUM can open your inner ear.

The Enlightenment of that which is One cannot be experienced, but glimpses of it can, when you partly let go of the personality. It will seem to happen in degrees because as long as there appears to be an ´I´ that thinks it has the power to let go of anything, you hang onto the person, you appear to be in a world where there seems to be more than one. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

The answer to the question in the headline is both yes and no. Before I start to elaborate on this, I like to remind you that if two people drink the exact same cup of tea, they will most likely describe it differently. Maybe one of them talks about it in a very ecstatic way and the other in a very down-to-earth way. Still, it is the same tea, so – in the context of this metaphor – please focus on the tea and not the description when you read this article.

In the Enlightenment of that which is One, everything happens simultaneously. Thus there are no specific elements that can be labelled to make it understandable. Nor is there anybody to be aware of that or anything at all. Therefore, the Enlightenment of that which is One is not an experience or a state of some kind. It is that which is One, and there are no degrees of oneness. In the context of linear time, how long time it lasts is not to say because it is one perpetual present.

To rise again from the dead, as it feels like returning from the Enlightenment of that which is One to a world where there seems to be more than one, you again appear to be someone definitive. Yet, this is not something you believe to be but pretend to be. But whether you believe or pretend to be there, it is something that requires more than one, and so it seems to hide the Enlightenment of that which is One.

You can compare it to activating an app on your computer or smart media. When you do it, the desktop – although still there – is hidden until you turn off the app again.

Alexius is like every other person in the world not perfect. But unlike most others he knows, it is not possible to be perfect, because that requires more than one and there is no more than that which is One.

Alexius was very young when the belief in being someone definitive for the first time momentarily was turned off. He did not know about the Enlightenment of that which is One from books or anywhere else, and he did not consider himself to have – what the purist may call – a pure mind or body. He probably still does not have that because the Enlightenment of that which is One does not change anything in the world. Nothing is transformed into peace, love, purity or whatever. There is no more than that which is One, so there is not something to change. That is the revelation of Enlightenment – and there are no degrees in that.

Balance is a concept invented, so that you can always feel out of balance and therefore constantly is occupied trying to get it. Being on a mission like that, you do not have time to see that there is no balance in an illusion – neither btw in that which is real. Reality is one and it takes two to have a balance.

Balance is a concept invented, so that you can always feel out of balance and therefore constantly being occupied by trying to get it right. On a mission like that, you do not have time to see that there is no balance in an illusion – neither by the way in that which is real, because reality is one and it takes more than one to be in balance. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

Spiritual wannabe´s try to follow special ideas like for example the concept of balance – as if there is any balance in an illusionary world – so that when they have achieved the right balance they are considered spiritual, which they imagine is manifested by them moving at a very slow pace. This state of numbness they have decided is to be in higher consciousness. Yet high consciousness is as illusory as low, as it takes more than one to be have something. If instead they acknowledged, that they do not know what and where they are, the Enlightenment of that which is One comes so fast, that the the brain has no time to distinguish anything. Thus concepts of spirituality and whatnot falls apart.

He has no answer to questions like how come he bid welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One, or how come he returned to the world again. All he can say is, at this moment, he is writing this article in a world that seems to be full of degrees. So yes, in such a world, you can experience degrees of Enlightenment. But they are not the Enlightenment of that which is One, though, but glimpses of it.

When he was a child, he was not allowed to see the fully decorated Christmas tree before Christmas Eve. But he took some sneak peeks through the keyhole in the door and was very amazed by the light he saw. Those sneak peeks can be compared to glimpses of Enlightenment. You are still in your ordinary world from where you have glimpses of something very different.

In the context of this metaphor, it is not only the beautiful light from all the candles you experience looking through the keyhole, you can also hear all the glitter move on the green leaves. Actually, if you are more audio than visual-minded, it might be these sounds that bliss you out rather than the light.

Apart from the visual and audiovisual aspects of the Enlightenment of that which is One, there are also aspects of feeling and tasting it. However, you do not need to follow all the aspects to erase what seems to hide that which is the oneness of you. One part will do. Alexius has followed the visual and emotional aspect of the Enlightenment of that which is one into the non-degree version. But since it is one perpetual present, it cannot be brought back into a world of linear time, so there are just vague memories of it.

Glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One is experienced through the inward-facing senses when the outward ones are partly closed. And just like ordinary experiences, there are degrees of them, and they can be remembered in the world of the outward-facing senses. These glimpses come to him daily in various degrees of the four aspects of the Enlightenment of that which is One. The easiest one – in his case – is the emotional experience of hearing and feeling the sound that Aum or Sohang symbolises.

It sounds and feels like the vibrations from an enormous vacuum cleaner or the ventilation plant in an airport. Alexius has met people who have heard this humming when meditating but disregarded it as a sound coming from their neighbour using a vacuum cleaner. People spend so much time repeating Aum or Sohang in expectation of something mysterious to happen when all they have to do is repeat it a few times to get in tune with the humming floating on top of the ´end´ of the word. You can read the practical instruction on how to do this in this article.

The word Aum or Sohang can be compared to the control knob on an analogue radio that you use to fine-tune into hearing just one station. When you have gotten it, you do not need the control knob – or in this case, the word Aum or Sohang to hear the echo of that which is One. If you hear or feel the humming of that which is One, while still aware of the world, it is a glimpse of the Enlightenment of that which is One, which is revealed in degrees depending on how much you are unaware of a world, where there seems to be more than one.

All degrees of Enlightenment are experiences, and any experience is part of the illusion of a world where there seems to be more than one. However, it appears that these degrees of Enlightenment bring you closer to the beginning of the world – before the big bang – which is often experienced as a paradise full of ecstasy and bliss. Yet, like all other experiences, these also have an end. So does this article.

You may expect a conclusion to the above, but there is none. And if you do not try to make one yourself, you are on the way to having glimpses of Enlightenment. Read here how to speed it up.

Alexius died again from the world of the outward-facing senses

Updated June 1, 2022

The total transmission from the outer to the inward-facing senses is not gradual but very abrupt, and it can seem frightening when you sense that nothing definable will make it through this transition. You and the world, as you know it, will be eradicated just like that. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Just like we have the outward-facing senses to see, hear, feel, smell and taste a tangible world, we have inward-facing senses to see, hear, feel, smell and taste an abstract world. However, to use the inward-facing senses, the outward-facing ones must be more or less turned off. Here you can read more about the inward and outward-facing senses.

The more you do not focus on something in the world of the outward-facing senses, the more it is shut down and the less you see a definable world. To be entirely defocused for a moment feels like you die from the world of the outward-facing. And since most people believe being in this world is to be alive, they fight to remain there.

THE DEFLECTION OF FEAR
Psychologist says that when suppressed feelings are about to surface, some unconsciously choose to vomit instead of facing them. It is a bit the same in the total transition from the outward-facing senses to the inward ones. Part of you is afraid of the unknown and tries avoiding it by doing something very physical like vomiting.

However, it is best to avoid vomiting in the phase of the total transition from outer to inward-facing senses. And instead, face the extreme discomfort by including it precisely as it is without trying to understand or embrace it. Thus you are what is in the moment and nothing else. Then it is over. It might be easier said than done, and it probably takes a long time to pass the apparent discomfort.

When one of Alexius’ inward-facing senses opened at a very young age, the outer ones were fully turned off, so there was nothing to block out the Enlightenment of that which is One. Alexius had been driving a taxi for 15 hours and was exhausted to the extent that he confused traffic lights for customers trying to hire a cab.

When he finally returned home from work, there was no energy left to fight the third eye to open up and burn away everything established as Alexius, so that there was no belief in someone definitive to hide there is no more than the formlessness of oneness.

In deep sleep or big exhaustion, you do not sense the apparent differences to make a difference, which is the invitation, the Enlightenment of that which is One wait for. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

DEEP, DEEP SLEEP
If either the inward or outward-facing senses are intensely used, the other seems to be in the background. For Alexius, it was the most known aspect of the inward-facing senses that dominated when they opened up, namely the ability to ‘see’ light. But not a light that can be compared to anything you can see with the two eyes of the outward-facing senses.

The Bhagavad Gita compares this light to light from thousands of suns, but Alexius would not do that. To compare it to something is to say there is something to see that can be defined by time and space. It is not a light that illuminates something. There is nothing to see – not even light because there is no consciousness of being someone.

Soon after, he had bid welcome the visual aspect of the Enlightenment of that which is One, the inward-facing ear opened with ethereal harmonies sounding like bells, much crisper and softer way than the mundane ones. Regarding the opening of the third eye, he had no discomfort in the transition. Perhaps he was too exhausted to fight it.

Speaking of the opening of the inward-facing ear, it probably ‘happened’ in deep sleep, where the concept of an ‘I’ is gone. Thus there is nobody to hold onto in a world where there seems to be more than one. In such a profound sleep, his inward-facing ear opened up.

Always on the run from something to something better, so that you do not see, that there is nothing better than that which is you because it is formless, thus endless. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

The desire to escape that which is One makes you hang onto the belief that you are someone in a world where there seems to be more than one. That is until you realise, it is yourself that you want to escape, because that which is you is no different from that which is One.

TASTING THE SWEETNESS OF ONENESS
The sweetness of that which is One is like a flavour of milk and honey with a hint of liquorice or sometimes strawberry. To start tasting it was not without discomfort for Alexius. His body reacted like it had been attacked by something dangerous and panicked by making vomit reflexes. But when he did not try to escape it, the panic turned out to be a lid on a jug of a smoothie-like texture some scripture calls the nectar of life. Read more about the sweetness of oneness here.

Since the Enlightenment of that which is One cannot be experienced, the next step with this aspect cannot be explained. But metaphorically speaking, the transparent sweet smoothie-like flavour taste turns into the tastelessness of oneness when not defined as a  taste of something known. However, it was not before, after having had several glimpses of this aspect, that Alexius realised he must have bid welcome the taste of the Enlightenment of that which is One because memories start popping up of a shapeless taste.

When the biological system of the body does not function anymore, the world of the outward-facing senses cannot be experienced. But for almost half an hour you remain in the world of the inward-facing senses, and as it is only in the world of the outward-facing senses the belief in being someone specific can be upheld, nobody is dying.

That is if you do not fight the world of the inward-facing senses by holding onto something specific, that reminds you of being someone in the world of the outward-facing senses.

The graphic is grabbed from the web.

In that which is One, you are not anything at all, not even the bubbling sense of oneness. There is not someone to experience it because that requires more than one. This does not mean that you are gone because that which is you is no different from the formlessness of that which is One. What is gone is the belief in being someone tangible in a world where there seems to be more than one. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

FINALLY, ALEXIUS DIED FROM THE OUTWARD-FACING SENSE OF FEELING THE WORLD
The inward-facing sense of feeling was not easy to reach for Alexius. It took many years of discomfort, vomiting, being hospitalised and sometimes losing the ability to balance – to mention a few of the disturbing things he has encountered as a person getting into the world of the inward-facing sense.

Alexius can add that all memories of discomfort was gone, when he updated this article much later. So do not worry about going with the flow of the inward-facing senses.

But finally, one night, Alexius was in such deep sleep that he completely died from the outward-facing sense. In other words, the belief in being Alexius was momentarily undone so that the Enlightenment of that which is One was bid welcome – not in a visual but emotional way, though. First, there was a moment of discomfort from not sensing his body to be separated from the bed. Then, it was as if everything was like the body and everything else was electric and full of tiny bubbles.

Next, it turned into a feeling with no shape, thus not tangible. Consequently, not establishing Alexius as somebody, wherefore there was and nobody to remember it. In other words, what is written here is based on vague memories that Alexius seem to be able to pick up from what feels very far away and yet right here.

It was not like in a world defined by time and space, where there seems to be different events happening in sequences of time. There was no time. Everything was happening simultaneously. It was one perpetual present of sparkling bubbles and still is, although, returning to a world defined by time and space, it seems to be a sequence of events that is over a long time ago.

Until that night, Alexius only had glimpses of the emotional aspect of that which is One, which is to hear or feel experience the vibration that Aum, Sohang or The Word of God symbolises. If you want to learn how to have such glimpses check out Life has no secrets.

How to activate other glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One, you can read in the article, The four aspects of Enlightenment and how to sample them.

Pretending to be a person in a hospital after a reboot.

To die from the outward-facing senses and return to them again can be compared to rebooting a computer. You come back with a blank slate. Here Alexius is rebooted in a hospital where they spoke a language foreign to him except for the language of their laughter. Since all his conditioning had been blown away, it was easy to play along and have fun in their world of the outward-facing senses. Besides he knew it was make-believe. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen

BACK IN A WORLD WHERE THERE SEEMS TO BE MORE THAN ONE
To leave the Enlightenment of that which is One and reappear as someone in a world where there seems to be more than one, all that is needed is to perceive something as it differs from something else, thus confirming separation. Alexius remembers that when he the first time returned from the intense glimpse of the vibration that Aum, Sohang and The Word of God symbolise, he was brought back by the wish to live as someone as opposed to becoming nobody. Since such a contrast – or any other for that matter – is only applicable in a world where there seems to be more than one, Alexius appeared to be there again.

To experience the Enlightenment of that which is One, there must be someone to experience it. However, that is impossible because it takes more than one to experience something. Thus Alexius’ Enlightened Non Teachings discerns between the Enlightenment of that which is One and glimpses of it.

The former cannot be experienced and the latter is an experience of Enlightenment comparable to watching a movie trailer, which means it is not the Enlightenment of that which is One but a sample of it.

We all know, the world presented to us in a set of virtual reality glasses is not real. Yet most have forgotten, that neither is the world presented to us by the senses. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

We all know that the world experienced in a set of virtual reality glasses is unreal. Yet that applies to everything experienced because it requires more than one to be aware of something, and there is no more than that which is One since it is formless, thus endless. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

SINCE IT TAKES MORE THAN ONE TO EXPERIENCE SOMETHING, AND THERE IS NO MORE THAN THAT WHICH IS ONE, EXPERIENCES ARE UNREAL
We all know that within the framework of a world where there seems to be more than one, the world simulated in virtual reality glasses is not real and that when you take off the glasses, everything that appeared to be in the virtual world disappears, so that is not something to disturb you from seeing what is considered the real world.

Likewise, the more the outward-facing senses are turned off, the less definable appearances prevent you from being in the abstract world of the inward-facing senses with glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One.

But the experience of this world full of lucid light, ethereal music, sweet nectar or transparent bubbles disappears if the outward-facing senses are entirely turned off, as that leaves nothing to define those glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One. Hence there are no glimpses to experience, nor somebody specific to experience them, and thus not something to hide there is nothing but one perpetual present.

Please do not take the expression in Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings about the inward and outward-facing senses too literal. The world of the inward-facing senses refers to a world that is not experienced as outside of you, whereas the world of the outward-facing senses are experienced outside of you. However, all experiences are make-believe.

From the perspective of a world where oneness is divided into more than one, that which is One is nothing. But from the standpoint of oneness – though no such thing is possible, as it requires more than one to have a point of view – it is everything because it is formless, thus endless.

I am the Destroyer of Worlds!

Painting with reflections of light on my iPhone

Alexius’ Duality Hacks talks about two kinds of Enlightenment: the Enlightenment of that which is One, which cannot be experienced as that requires more than one, and glimpses of it experienced via the inward-facing senses when the outward ones are partly closed. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

After a long, intense night of driving a taxi many years ago, Alexius forgot what and where he was, so there was nothing to hide the Enlightenment of that which is One.

When he later read The New Testament and Bhagavad Gita, some passages triggered memories of the Enlightenment of that which is One. The memories were vague, though, because Alexius did not experience the Enlightenment since it takes more than one. Nevertheless, the faint memories of something indefinable are enough to know that everything definable is an illusion. That is why he is to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One.

The Enlightenment of that which is One is literally light, like when Jesus said: When your eyes become single, your whole body will be full of light – or like St. Paul when he was blinded by light – or like Arjuna according to Bhagavad Gita said after having been initiated by Krishna: »It is brighter than thousands of suns. I have become the destroyer of worlds …«

A dream can be compared to a simulated world meanwhile layered on top that which is real. As long as you believe the simulated world is real, it seems to cover that which is real.

However, Alexius would not put it like that. There is nobody in the Enlightenment of that which is One, so there is not a body to be full of light nor a world to destroy. The world is not there, and there is no memory of it ever having been. It is like a dream that is gone when you wake up in the morning.

The translations of both The New Testament and Bhagavad Gita differ from translator to translator, and as the above quotes are from memory, they may not be the exact words in your addition. But it does not matter because regardless of how you speak about it, the Enlightenment of that which is One cannot be described. In other words, what is said about it in Alexius’ Duality Hacks should not be taken as the real thing, nor as pointers towards it, as that requires more than one.

Imagine you want to describe an orange to somebody who has never seen or tasted an orange. For example, you say its colour is like an orange sunset, it is round like a ball and tastes like sweetened water. Yet the person you have given this description will never find out what an orange is by drinking sweet water from a rounded cup at sunset.

You have to see and taste it yourself to know what it is. However, in the context of the Enlightenment of that which is One, you will never know what it is because a person cannot be Enlightened. You as a person are erased in the Enlightenment of that which is One. Thus there is nobody to experience it.

In the Enlightenment of that which is One, the world is not anymore. Not because it has been destroyed, but because it has never been – except as a fantasy. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

If you return to a world where there seems to be more than one after the Enlightenment of that which is One, there is no more need to search for the meaning of life. You know there is no more than that which is One, so there is no life in a world where it seems to be more than one. Besides, searching for something requires more than one, so whatever you think you realise is unreal.

One who is to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One has no need to be forgiven or loved because there is no ‘I’ deciding what to do, thus, nobody to forgive or love. But when there is no ‘I’ to protect and preserve, there is the freedom to pretend to be someone. Therefore, in the context of a game like Monopoly, you may appear to be a red car one day and a blue one another day.

To make long short, there is no need to keep together an appearance of someone with coherent opinions and behaviour. The ‘I’ is a tool used like the legs, hands and eyes, for example.

Alexius, for example, has pretended to be a child, teenager, taxi driver, monk, husband, daddy, adult, businessman, millionaire, designer, teacher, photographer and recently non-teacher. See more of his appearances in Alexius, The Man.

Regarding the Enlightenment of that which is One, it is best to forget everything you have ever heard or read about it – including what is said in Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings. Any idea of how it looks is wrong. It has no shape. It is formless. Yet, if you look for something intangible, you still look for something. But if you do not believe to be someone definitive – or do not care about it – there does not seem to be something hiding that which cannot be seen, heard, felt or tasted.

’The Enlightenment of that which is one’

Updated June 1, 2022

Why do the flowers fall off the trees on the street sometimes outside Alexius’ home? The answer is simple. It is the season for that. Likewise, it seems to be the season for Alexius to write about bidding welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

The Enlightenment of that which is One does not result in spiritual understanding or connection with a higher being. On the contrary, it results in nothing because it takes more than one to cause something.

Since it also takes more than one to return to that which is One, you cannot do that. But since the same applies to departing oneness, you have never left it. That is why it does not know that you believe to be someone in a world where there seems to be more than one.

Most books or lectures about the Enlightenment of that which is Oneare based on speculations of how to exclude what is judged as dark evil become full of light. But to exclude is to separate, thus an enhancement of the belief in being someone definitive – and nothing definable can enter the Enlightenment of that which is One.

The enlightenment of that which is one can be compared to taking a ride in a fairground carousel so fast, that the mind has to give up seeing any differences at all. Consequently it is not possible to remain as someone definitive and so there is therefore nobody to experience the enlightenment of that which is one. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

The Enlightenment of that which is One can be compared to taking a ride in a fairground carousel moving so fast that the brain gives up separating it into different appearances. Consequently, since there is no separation to establish you as someone definitive, there is nobody to experience being brought back to what you never left, namely the formlessness of oneness. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

The Enlightenment of that which is One undoes this belief. Metaphorically speaking, it takes you on a ride in a fairground carousel moving so fast that the brain gives up producing different images of it. Thus, eventually, everything is fused into one bright light. However, it is not a light that lightens up anything because that requires more than one. For the same reason, there is no memory of a world where there seems to be more than one.

In other words, the experience of being someone definitive is wiped out by the Enlightenment of that which is One, so there is nobody left to experience bliss or anything else. Therefore, when Alexius talks about the Enlightenment of that which is One, it is not based on the experience of it but on vague memories of something that cannot be experienced.

Reading his memories, you may get the impression that the Enlightenment of that which is One is a sequence of events happening in linear time. But everything ‘happens ‘simultaneously. However, that cannot be described in a world of linear time. And even though it is described as it ‘happened’ many years ago, in non-linear time, it is still ‘happening.’ Hence his description might be a mix of several ‘excursions’ from linear time into one perpetual present.

An early morning, when he was 22 years old, Alexius bid welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One after intensely having worked as a taxi driver for about 15 hours. Somehow the sum of the images from driving back and forth the streets continually looking for customers turned into something less definable and more blurry. When he came home Alexius had no energy left to establish a focused image of himself in a world defined by time and space. Thus forgetting what and where he was, he was not aware of a transition to the spiralling show of psychedelic light that did not seem to come from anywhere and to suck him into nowhere.

All info of someone definitive is extracted by either the light, sound, feeling or taste of the enlightenment of that which is one, so that there is nobody to be sucked through a black hole into the formlessness of that which is one, where there is neither chaos or order, as that would require more than one. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

All info of someone definitive is extracted by either the light, sound, feeling or taste of the enlightenment of that which is One. Thereafter the light sucks nobody  through a black gap in itself into the formlessness of onenes. Most, though, try to avoid loosing their identity by establishing the black gap as something know like a black hole. Thus they remain someone definitive and cannot be sucked through the gap in the light. But they can have glimpses of light on the way back to a world where there seems to be more than one, which many mistakes for being Enlightened. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

The enlightenment of that which is One is to be compared to the fusion of all lights, or sounds, or emotions, or tastes – depending on our preference as someone definitive in a world where there seems to be more than one.

None of these fusions are the formlessness of that which is One. They are merely ways to attract you so you do not resist, when all the thoughts collected to fabricate your personality are extracted by the enlightenment of that which is One, so nothing definable is sucked through a black hole into the formlessness of oneness.

This article is about the first time the belief in being someone definitive momentarily was undone for Alexius. The enlightenment of that which is One was bid welcome in its most known aspect, namely light. Much later the other aspects – sound, emotion and taste – was also bid welcome. Not as a mix though but one by one. It is not possible to mix something in the enlightenment of that which is One, as that requires more than one.

Alexius assumes it is not necessary to bid welcome all the aspects, but that one of them is sufficient in regard to completely forget the imagination of a world where there seems to be more than one.

Suddenly a black gap with no fixed location nor a fixed form, looking like a horse head or an embryo, showed up in the psychedelic light show. And then an utterly colourless light – brighter than the coloured light outside the black spot – started to form as a ring with no defined boundary inside the black area’s edges, which apparently was a hole because colourless light exploded out of it.

This light absorbed everything. It was everywhere and yet nowhere. Without any mention, it knocked out the concept of Alexius and a world where there seems to be more than one, so the nothingness of him gracefully fell into the formlessness of oneness – or maybe it floated into oneness. Alexius cannot recall because the thought construction shaping him was left outside the black hole. Besides, everything happened simultaneously. Nevertheless, there is a sense of forever falling while swimming in a space that was not there – and then, in the exact moment as forever falling, it never happened because there was nothing but that which is one, and it takes more than one for something to happen.

That is all, folks. There is no more to tell. At this point, the Enlightenment of that which is One is over, and there is nothing but the formlessness of oneness. It is not a big void of nothing filled with exotic ideas of unconditional love and whatnot. On the contrary, it is not filled with anything since that requires more than one.

Thus oneness is neither peaceful nor stillness or anything else. Metaphorically speaking, its speed is so fast that it is not possible to differentiate anything. Hence there is not something to see or anyone to realise that. Nor to hear the incredible noise of the speed. Especially because it is so loud that all sounds merge into one, all lights into one light, all emotions into one feeling, and tastes into one taste.

The above is not to be understood as the Enlightenment of that which is One is a mix of light, sound, emotion and taste. They are four aspects of it. But you only bid one of them welcome at a time. It does not matter which one of them. They all have the same purpose. Namely to attract to the extent that you cannot help but let them extract all thoughts, making it appear as if you are someone definitive. And then leave them at the edge of a black hole so that there is nothing definable to be sucked through it into the formlessness of oneness.

The latter about leaving thoughts at the edge of a black hole may be a twisted memory. And it is, of course, a metaphor to say oneness is on the other side of a black hole because it is formless, thus without inside or outside.

Dunno if there is a spiral around the black hole of the enlightenment of that which is one, because being that close nothing seems to differ from each other. Yet for a moment so short, that it is not conceivable, a light inside the edge of the black hole so much brighter that the very bright light around it, suddenly explodes into a formless light that does not include Alexius but the formlessness of that which I am. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

Alexius seems to remember a spiral around a black hole in the Enlightenment of that which is One. However, he does not remember it exactly as in this image – either because everything was moving extremely fast or he was so close that nothing seemed to differ from each other. Yet for a moment, so short that it is not conceivable, white light inside the edge of the black hole – so much brighter than the very colourful light around it – exploded into a bright light that erased everything definable. Thus he cannot report what ‘happened’ after being sucked by formless light through a shapeless black hole into that which is One. Nor can he find an image on the web that can illustrate the vague memories of this. Fortunately, you can go there yourself – or rather stop going anywhere. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

THE ENLIGHTENMENT OF THAT WHICH IS ONE IS INEXPLAINABLE
When Alexius welcomed the Enlightenment of that which is One, he was not aware of doing that. Actually, he had never heard about it, nor seen a black hole. Fortunately, he did not define anything because otherwise, he would have bounced back to a world where there seems to be more than one. Thus the description of a black hole leading into that which is One is made retrospectively.

Actually, it was not before much later, when he saw pictures of black holes in the universe, that he sensed how familiar they were. But calling a black hole a path into oneness is a metaphor because there is neither an entrance nor an exit to that which is one. In other words, describing the Enlightenment of that which is One is impossible because even though so much goes on, nothing definable happens because it is one perpetual present.

To bid welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One, you do not have to drive a taxi all night or be in ’a deep sleep’ like Buddha supposedly talked about. Whatever way you lose focus or stop defining and labelling will do regarding bidding welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One. However, meditation may not work. It is generally about concentrating and focusing on achieving something specific – and anything definable fend off the Enlightenment of that which is One.

NOTES:

  • The article is about the most known aspect of the Enlightenment of that which is One, namely light. The element that comes to you when bidding welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One depends on your preferences as someone definitive. If you are very visual, light comes to extract all your definable traits, so there is not something to be sucked through a black hole into that which is One. Read here about the other aspects.

Why do the oranges fall from the trees on the street outside Alexius’ home every November? The answer is simple. It is the season for that. Likewise, it seems to be the season to write about bidding welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One.

THE ENLIGHTENMENT OF THAT WHICH IS ONE IS NOT IN A WORLD WHERE THERE SEEMS TO BE MORE THAN ONE

What is life, where does it come from, and what is its meaning?

Updated April 20, 2022

In the world everything is limited by time and space.

Since life is formless, thus endless, a world limited by time and space is lifeless. Hence, it makes no sense to ask what life is in such a world. Besides, life is that which is One, and you need more than one to be aware of it, so it cannot be known. Consequently, there is nothing to learn unless you imagine being in a world where there seems more than one. And since such a world is non-existing, anything you believe to know is an illusion. As everything in a world defined by time and space has a beginning and an end, most expect that the answer to the question in the headline will start in a resourceful way and finish with a wise conclusion. But it is not possible. That which is life is formless and therefore without beginning and end, so it cannot be described. Therefore, only something defined by time and space can be explained. And that is easy. It does not exist because life is formless, thus endless, so something defined by time and space is an illusion.

You will not get a more encouraging answer at the end of the article, nor if you pay to learn more, as seems to be the standard on the internet. Alexius’ Duality Hacks do not have anything to sell because they are nothing. That is why, if you keep reading them, the experience of being something is exposed as nothing, wherefore, eventually, there does not appear to be anything hiding the formlessness of life.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

No answer in a dream can explain what and where you are there because you are not in the dream but your bed.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Life is smaller than the smallest atom. It is so tiny that it cannot be defined by time and space. That is why it seems invisible when you believe to be in a world defined by time and space. Yet, it is due to the unseen, a world defined by time and space can be experienced.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The sound of a storm does not reveal what the wind is, nor do the broken trees. The wind cannot be known via the events it causes. The same applies to electricity, for example. The experience of something illuminated by an electric lamp does not reveal electricity. And since everything in your experiences is measured by time and space and life is formless, it seems hidden as long as you experience something.

Some may argue that chakras, aura and transcendental experiences cannot be measured by time and space. But there are already ways to take photos of the aura. Besides, so-called spiritual experiences – like all other experiences – are basically electrical impulses that can be measured in the brain.

Even though the man in blue probably is in another state of mind than his family, who visited him in the hospital, they all appear to be very different. Still, it makes no difference when all appearances are perceived as symbols of that which is life. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Life does not see what and where you believe in being – just like electricity does not see the world illuminated by an electric bulb in a dark room.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Acknowledging the oneness of life as the sole cause of all experiences, they can be seen as a symbol of that. Thus, positive or negative, mundane or spiritual, does not make a difference. Everything is the same when experienced as a symbol of oneness, including the past, the future and now.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

There is no electricity in a room illuminated by it, although it makes it possible to see the interior. Likewise, there is no life in the world you see. Everything experienced is lifeless because life is that which is one, and it takes more than one to be aware of something, See also All experiences are equally unreal.

In other words, what and where you experience being is an illusion because it takes more than one to be somewhere, and there is no more than that which is One since it is formless, thus endless. Consequently, it is only possible to believe that you are in a world where there seems to be more than one because of that which is One. This belief, therefore, is a positive confirmation of oneness. Therefore, everything you experience is a symbol of that.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

That which is you is no different from life. And since life contains no death, you are eternal. But it does not look like that when you imagine being in a world defined by time and space. However, this fantasy is only possible because you are that which is life. Nothing can change, that you are the oneness of life because it is formless and therefore endless, so there is no more than life.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

This image is just zeros and ones added together in different combinations. If the combinations seem strange to you, you probably try to reorganise them into a collectively agreed image of the world. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Since life is formless, it does not contain something specific. Actually, it does not contain anything because it is that which is One, and it requires more than one to embody something. That is why oneness has no past or future, nor now. It is also why it has not created what and where you believe being. However, since it is formless, thus never-ending, there is nothing but life to empower the belief that it is possible to be and have more than that which is One. Hence this delusion is a positive confirmation of life.

Electricity is needed to keep cyberspace visible. Yet, there is no electricity in it. Nor are you or anything else. Likewise, that which makes it possible to imagine being someone substantial in a tangible world is not in it. There is a significant difference in the comparison, though. The appearance of a world in cyberspace is an illusion that, within the context of the physical world, is a construction of zeros and ones, added together in different combinations. But the illusion of a material world is not built from something. Life is formless, so nothing specific can be created from it.

The experience of being someone substantial in a tangible world can be a machine that has been programmed to experience specific signals as thoughts and feelings caused by something tangible outside it. Hence it concludes, it is someone substantial in a tangible world. See the illustration in the paragraph To know is to be in duality in the article Duality is a simulated reality on top of non-duality.

To spell it out, the experience of being someone in a world defined by time and space is an illusion that only seems real if you believe the brain when it claims to have processed your experiences based on signals from your sensory system have received from a world outside of you.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

One might be able to explain why the fantasy of Santa Claus appeals to children. Likewise, one might be able to point out why grown-ups keep believing the experience of being someone in a world defined by time and space is real.

When you wear a headset from Oculus VR, you do not see yourself and the world as you are used to. Instead, you may see your legs covered by a red spacesuit when you turn your head down. And when you look up, you may notice the ceiling of a spaceship that you appear to be flying. The world you knew before you took on the glasses seems to have been replaced by a more exciting world, where you can fly and whatnot.

This article was written before Facebook bought Oculus VR. The image is grabbed from the web.

But what you believe in being and seeing is an illusion. Likewise, what and where you believe to be in a world defined by time and space. There is one difference, though, nobody is watching itself as somebody else in a world defined by time and space. It is impossible because reality is that which is One, and since it takes more than one to have a shape, it is formless and therefore endless. Hence there is nothing definable to be seen.

Reading this, however, you believe it is possible to be and see something specific. Thus we go on as if this is valid to challenge this belief within its context.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

While believing to be someone in a world where there seems to be more than one, it is best to give it your best shot. If not, you denounce what makes it possible to have this fantasy of more than one, namely that which is One.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

All experiences are fabricated by the brain regardless of where you perceive them to come from. The brain, however, can only process something definable, so it cannot display the formlessness of oneness.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

You cannot see the power station in your living room. Yet it is due to that, your room is illuminated by night, so that you can experience the room.

You cannot see the power station in your living room. Yet it is why your room is illuminated by light so it can be seen when it is dark. The image is grabbed from the we

You may long for oneness and try to implement it in the world where you believe in being. But that is a world of separation – otherwise, there would not appear to be more than one. Thus it has no room for oneness.

However, it is oneness that makes it possible to experience more than one because there is nothing else than oneness, which is why the experience of more than one is an illusion that is over the exact moment it began. That is why what and where you believe in being is nothing but after images of the illusion. Read more about that here.

Although there is no oneness in these after images of a world where there seems to be more than one, they are empowered by that which is One. Hence they are symbols of oneness.

The more your experience that, the less the apparent differences in a world where there seems to be more than one appear to make a difference. Hence there is nothing to uphold the belief in separation.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Since there is no more than that which is One, a world where there seems to be more than one is an illusion. That is why there is no answer to who you are in such a world. There is, however, an answer to why you believe in being there. You want to be and have more than that which is One.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

There is nothing real in a world where there seems to be more than one, so hack #2.1 Everything experienced is a symbol of life is, of course, also an illusion. But since the application of the hack undoes the belief in being someone at all, it can be used as your way back to that which is One.

This is not to suggest that you have your way. On the contrary, there is no way out of a world where there seems to be more than one because there is no more than that which is One. But since it feels so good to perceive everything in such a world as symbols of oneness, and since it does not matter what you do is when perceived as a symbol of that which is One, why not apply hack #2.1 Everything experienced is a symbol of life.

Doing so, both the illusion of the hack and the world in which you appear to have been applied by someone will be undone – or rather the belief that it is possible to be and have more than that which is One.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The one having a dream is not to be seen there but everyone in the dream is there because of the dreamer, so if there is no focus on the appearances of a dream the content becomes obvious, namely the dreamer. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

If not for the dreamer’s energy, the world in the dream would not appear to be there. Therefore, if those in the dream do not identify with their appearance but the force making it possible, they are in the energy of the dreamer – also when the dream ends. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

Though a dream is generated by the energy inside the dreamer, neither the dreamer nor those appearing in it can control it. But they are free to choose how to perceive it. If everything is perceived as a symbol of the power generating it, that which it symbolises is still there, when the dream ends,

In other words, if everything experienced in a world where there seems to be more than one is perceived as a symbol of that which is one, what they symbolise does not end when the experience of the symbols is over.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Everything experienced in a world where there seems to be more than one is bound to end, but that which is used to generate the experience goes on because it is formless and therefore endless. So if you do not identify with what you experience to be, but that which makes it possible to experience being something you are, there is no end.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Anxiety is related to the wish for something better. First, you are worried about not getting it. Second, if it is achieved, you fear losing it.  However, if everything is perceived as a symbol of life, there is nothing to be worried about. This does not mean you cannot look forward to seeing your children, for example. But it means you are not attached to a specific outcome of your wish because it is a symbol of life, whatever the result is.

If you are attached to the outcome, it is not a problem. Attachment is also a symbol of that which is life. Whatever you think, feel or do or not think, feel or do, are symbols of life.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Since life is that which is One, there is no life in a world where there seems to be more than one. Thus believing to be in such a world is a rejection of life. No worries. You can have this belief undone by acknowledging your resistance to life.

Everything that you believe to see, hear, feel or taste as something substantial is a denial of life because it is formless. Since that means it is endless, nothing but life makes it possible to deny it. Consequently, your rejection of life is a confirmation of it.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The perception of the world changes all the time.

There is no synchronicity between the person and the dolphins in this image. It is a manipulation of two photos – one of the person and one of the dolphins – That Alexius has merged. Synchronicity is always a delusion. Nothing in life is connected because that requires more than one, and life is that which is One. For the same reason, every experience is a manipulation of nothing into something that is not there. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

There is no synchronicity in life. Life is that which is One, and it takes more than one to be synchronised. Thus something can only be synchronised in a world where there seems to be more than one. But where there is more than one, there is no life since it is that which is One.

In other words, the experience that two or more events are meaningfully related is an illusion. Yet, something false cannot appear without something real. So if your belief in synchronicity or something else that requires more than one is perceived as a symbol of that which is real, you can have fun inventing all kinds of links in a world where there seems to be more than one.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

When you perceive life as the source of all experiences, the need to meet others is replaced with a relaxed sense of being with life. However, there is probably also a sense of emptiness because nothing, in particular, seems exciting anymore.

Fortunately, life is also the source of feeling desolate. Therefore, not suppressing but acknowledging this feeling and life as its source, it becomes a symbol of life. And so does the excitement of something specific, when life is recognised as its source. Consequently, you see that going for something specific leads nowhere, but what it symbolises, namely the formlessness of life leads everywhere.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The essence of the world is not life because a world where there seems to be more than one is an illusion, and life is real. An illusion, however, is only possible to experience because of that which is real. So if you know the world is an illusion that only can be experienced because of life, you recognise that everything experienced is a symbol of life.
