The ins and outs of the inward-facing senses

The empty breath is not a step to something better because it is a state of not knowing, and so the other duality hacks. Hence there is no way to know if they differ from each other or in any way overlap each other. No worries. There is nobody to care about that in a state of not-knowing. Alexius especially experiences the world of the inward-facing senses and its glimpses of Enlightenment before falling asleep. In this case, it is by giving the world of the outward-facing senses his minimum attention. During the day, the outward-facing senses get more attention while doing something.

Before going to sleep, he is brought into a state of not-knowing, maybe with glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is one. He is not aware, though, how how much time it last. But less than 30 minutes because the brain falls into a coma if there is nobody to be aware of its thoughts of a world where there seems to be more than one (see the article Willingness not to exclude but include undoes the belief in a world where there seems to be more than one).

A state of not-knowing can be brought about the empty breath, glimpses of enlightenment, inclusiveness, pretending to be someone definitive, seeing symbols of life in the world or being alone together (see Alexius’ Duality Hacks). But since it is a state of not-knowing you cannot know if the hacks bring about the same state of not-knowing.

But when he wakes up in the morning, he knows that the cure for believing in being someone definitive is a state of not-knowing. Whether triggered by the empty breath or another duality hack does not matter. What matters is that its bliss of nothing is achieved effortlessly without the help of thoughts and feelings. Therefore, when he returns to the consciousness of being someone, he knows that thoughts and feelings are only needed for the bliss of anything but for the belief in being someone.

When the empty breath is in charge of the switch between the inner and outward-facing senses, there is neither inside nor outside.

When not focussing on something specific, the world of the outward-facing senses becomes blurry. Hence the world of the inward-facing senses opens up. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

A NIGHT WITH BLISSFUL MOMENTS OF NOT-KNOWING
Laying in the bed with a sleep mask and ear plugs* plugged into his ears, the transparent sound of the empty breath seems to transport him into worlds of light, where lucid universes unfold at an extreme speed, or flowers in slow-mo until thoughts or feelings try to surface and sleep sets in. Going into a deep sleep, the visions of light continue, and when he wakes up early in the morning, they turn into ethereal harmonies.

It does not seem exciting to me anymore to travel in worlds of light. I am rather naturally attracted to leaving everything behind and as nothing sucked though a black hole into that which is one. It seems though, that I am to return in order to complete my non teachings. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

It seems like ages ago when Alexius enjoyed travelling in worlds of lucid light. Nowadays, he prefers not to see anything and as nothing falling through a black hole into the formlessness of oneness. See the article The ins and out of a black hole. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

Actually, this is a typical description from many years ago, where the glimpses of Enlightenment were exciting journeys in the enchanted worlds of light. Nowadays, he does not care much for such visions, which mostly are exciting because they, to some extent, are recognisable. Instead, he is drawn to visions of abstract nothingness. That is until they swirl together around a so-called black hole. This is neither exciting nor relaxing. It just is.

The vibration that Aum or Sohang symbolises** is another aspect of the Enlightenment of that which is One that can be experienced through the inward-facing senses. In the case of Alexius, it pops up now and then during the day as a natural extension of the empty breath. The taste of the Enlightenment of that which is One also pops up – for example, when he writes about it.

The Enlightenment of that which is One is impersonal, but the vague memories of it is filtered by the personality. Since it cannot take in one perpetual present, the Enlightenment of that which is One is described as a personal experience in time and space. On the other hand, glimpses of enlightenment is solely a personal experience.

Eyes cannot see – they translate, or it is rather the brain that translate all the otherwise meaningless info it receives through the eyes according to how it is conditioned to see the world. If it receives info that does not fit into its image of the world, it twist it until it does. In other words, you have no idea about what is written in this article or what is in the world. The eyes cannot see – they translate***, or rather it is the brain that translates the frequencies it claims to receive from the eyes. Therefore, since your brain has fabricated what you believe to be reading, you have no idea what is said in it. Acknowledging this is to bid welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One. YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT YOU READ BECAUSE IT IS FABRICATED BY THE BRAIN
Be aware that the above is how Alexius experiences the world of the inward-facing senses when the world of the outward-facing senses gets less attention. But like you and he probably experience things differently in the world of the outward-facing senses, the same may apply to the world of the inward-facing senses. And regarding the Enlightenment of that which is One, his vague memories of not being someone at all are most likely selective (see hack #6.1 The Enlightenment of that which is One).

In other words, the descriptions you get in Alexius’ Duality Hacks of the Enlightenment of that which is One and its glimpses are not absolute. Besides, you have not read them, but your brain’s translation. Furthermore, you may have layered your interpretation of that on top of it.***

The night can be full of restless dreams, that seem very real, until you quietly wake up to the sound of ethereal music, that cancels out the confusion of the night, so that you full of clarity get out bed.

Neither is his experience the same every night. Some nights thoughts or emotions seem to take over and get him into the world of the outward-facing senses. No worries, if that happens to you too. It is a great way to see that thoughts and emotions have no power, and that power is unnecessary when there is no need to be someone.

ANYTHING INTERPRETED AS SPECIFIC ENDS THE TOUR OF THE INWARD-FACING SENSES
You cannot do something to be in the world of the inward-facing senses because achieving something only works in a tangible world. But for the very same reason, you can do something to not experience the world of the outward-facing senses – for example, putting on a sleeping mask.

Best to forget all the descriptions from Alexius’ Duality Hacks about the glimpses of enlightenmen. You may interpret them as something specific, and that cannot be replicated in the world of the inward-facing senses.

Suppose you remember the last time you travelled in incredible worlds of lucid light, and you want more like that. In that case, you will not get i. Defining glimpses of Enlightenment in this way turns them into an experience of the outward-facing senses. Only there does it seem possible to experience something specifically more than once. In other words, if interpreting the glimpses of the Enlightenment in the way you do in the world of the outward-facing senses, there are no more glimpses to experience.

When you completely turn off the outward-facing senses or are willing to do so, you bid welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One. No image can be shown of that because it cannot be experienced since that requires more than one. However, glimpses of Enlightenment can be experienced. One of the last glimpses you may have before they fuse into the Enlightenment of that which is One could look like a horse head. A black hole sometimes looks like just before there is nothing but the most intense light. Nobody knows if it blasts out of the hole or into it because the light is so blinding that you cease to exist as someone definitive. That is why nothing is sucked into the black hole, that is not there anymore, just a gentle void transporting nobody into the formlessness of oneness. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

TO TURN OFF THE OUTWARD-FACING SENSES PARTIALLY OR TOTALLY
The easiest way to switch between the outward and inward-facing senses is, of course, to let the empty breath take care of it – see Notes on the empty breath – but until you are willing to choose, not to choose but to be guided by the empty breath the below suggestion can be of help.

You turn off the outward-facing senses by not excluding unwanted thoughts and feelings but including them. Therefore, since there is no contrast to define a tangible world, you are in the abstractness of the inward-facing senses. If the inclusion is partial, you have glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One, and if it is completed, there is not someone to hide the Enlightenment of that which is One.

Do not pay too much attention to the world of the outward-facing senses, when in the world of the inward-facing senses. And when moving in the world of the outward-facing senses, it is often best hardly to pay attention to to the inward-facing senses, except the memory of their  bliss. That helps you to involve yourself in the world of the outward-facing senses without being of it.

There are no rules though, so there can be times where the two worlds seem to mix in a beneficial way, but why not fully enjoy the taste of wine on the premises of the world of the outward-facing senses, and totally space out when you fly through amazing worlds of abstract light in the world of the inward-facing senses.

In other words, when you are solely in the world of the inward-facing senses, the belief in being someone in a world defined by time and space is undone by the Enlightenment of that which is One. This does not mean you are transformed into that which is one. Instead, it means the awareness of being someone is gone because it takes more than one to be conscious of something. Thus there does not appear to be something hiding, there is no more than that which always was and will be, namely that which is One since it is formless, thus endless.

APPENDIX
If you get the impression from reading Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings that the inward-facing senses are less deceptive than the outer ones, you have chosen to be deceived into believing that you can become better, higher or wiser by looking inside. If that is your purpose, they will cause you as much suffering as the outer ones.

But if your purpose is to become nobody, so that there is not somebody to hide the formlessness of that which is you, the inward-facing senses will speed up the undoing of the belief in being someone specific.


*) Alexius does not know if the Sleep Mask and Ear Protection Ear Plugs that he uses when going to sleep are the best for turning off the outward-facing senses and going into the world of the inner ones, but they seem to work for him.

What sort of external music resembles the internal harmonies

If you are used to the ethereal music that the inward-facing senses reveal when the outward ones are partly turned off, memories of these harmonies can be triggered when listening to external music from artists like Charalambides. Maybe Mozart got inspired to compose music by listening to the ethereal harmonies inside him. This is not to say that his music sounds precisely like inner music. But the flow in his music resembles the effortless elegance and beauty of ethereal harmonies arising from inside when the outward-facing senses are more or less ignored. However, this does not apply when Mozart neglects the natural flow to reach a peak. There is no drama in ethereal harmonies because they accompany one perpetual present, which has no beginning and end, thus no drama.

Bells and similar sounds that do not add to something specific resemble inner ethereal music. But not in the monotonic way of the bells in the churches because ethereal music is non-structured harmonies.

The organic way contemporary electronic music moves without going nowhere has much resemblance to the ethereal harmonies. However, contemporary electronic music is about producing ambient textures that seem without beginning or end. It uses glitches, other sonic artefacts, slowed-played steel guitar, analogue or synth sounds mixed with piano loops, chimes and bells to accomplish this. However, these effects result in a harder edge and a less transparent sound than the inner music, which has a crystal clear but transparent sound with no sonic artefacts needed to produce the spiciness. Actually, it arises from not trying to achieve anything.

But new-age music that sounds like dreamy symphonies of otherworldly states – Karunesh and Marsen Jules, for example – does not resemble ethereal harmonies but the new-age fantasy of a merry-go-round world, where everything is good. This is a childish dream because goodness can only be experienced when contrasted with evil. See hack #4.4 The duality flow goes to non-duality.

Ethereal music is not symphonic or anything else that suggests a progression in linear time. And it is not otherworldly because it echoes that which is One, and there is nothing but oneness since it is formless, thus endless. But in a world where there seems to be more than one, oneness cannot be comprehended. Thus the random sounds of ethereal music united in one perpetual present are most likely remembered as they fit together like a symphony moving forward in time.

Instead, he goes with the music of the outward-facing senses. But he does not do it to drown out the inward-facing senses. Experiencing the world of the outward-facing senses, Alexius does not listen to music resembling the inner harmonies. Instead, he adjusts to the world of the outward-facing senses and its music. He likes Editors and Philip Glass. And he loves Boleros from the 50s, especially Lucho Gatica. He also likes the Danish singer Bjørn Fjæstad. And guitar virtuosos, such as Dean McPhee and Derek Gripper. The latter is a classical guitarist from Cape Town, specialising in the kora music of Mali. Alexius cannot stop listening to Beth Gibbons, especially in Górecki – Symphony No. 3. Recently he discovered Adrianne Lenker.

The four aspects of Enlightenment and how to sample them [draft]

The echo of that which is one, which often is symbolised by the words Aum, Sohang or The Word of God and which comes from the edge of the universe can be heard or felt right now via the inner senses, because they are not limited by time and space.

The echo of that which is One is often symbolised by the words Aum, Sohang or The Word of God. It comes from the edge of the universe, but since the inward-facing senses are not limited by time and space, using them, it takes no time to go there to hear or feel the echo of oneness coming out of a black hole. See Going back to the first moment of duality.

None of the facets of the Enlightenment of that which is One can be experienced because it requires more than one to be aware of something. Thus when you hear, feel, see or taste it, you do not experience the Enlightenment of that which is One but glimpses of it. This article is about how to experience these glimpses with the inward-facing senses while still in the world of the outward-facing senses. Remember that as a movie trailer is not the movie, the glimpses are not the Enlightenment of that which is One

And be aware that the ways described below to have glimpses of Enlightenment will not work if you look forward to being or having more, as their function is to undo the belief that it is possible to be and have more than that which is one. This does not mean you must restrain yourself from getting more but not care about it.

HEARING OR FEELING THE ECHO OF ONENESS
As already implied, oneness cannot be revealed because that calls for more than one. However, when you hear or feel it echoed from the edge of the universe, the belief in being and having more than One is, eventually, undone. Hereafter, it does not appear to hide there never was or will be more than that which is one.

In other words, the more you ignore the world defined by time and space, produced by the outward-facing senses, the more a world not limited by time and space is experienced by the inward-facing senses. Without time and space, it takes no time to go to the edge of the universe (read more about that here), where the echo of oneness has been used to create a fantasy world of time and space which seems genuine until you hear or feel this primordial vibration, often symbolised by Aum, Sohang or The Word of God.

»With every exhalation the soul recites ‘Hang’ and with every inhalation it recites ‘So’. Thus every soul counts the mantra of Sohang (So plus Hang) twenty-one thousand and six-hundred times every day and night.« Gherand Samhita, stanza 84.

In Eastern religions the echo of oneness is symbolised by the word ‘Aum’ or ‘Sohang’ and in the New Testament by ‘The Word of God’: »In the origin The Word had been existing and That Word had been existing with God and That Word was himself God.« John 1:1, Aramaic Bible in Plain English.

One who is to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One perceives ‘The Word’ in the above quote as a metaphor for the unpronounceable vibration you hear or feel when not being totally focused on the world of the outward-facing senses. The unenlightened, however, speculates about what exact words this is hinting at, even though there is not a single verse in the Bible referring to ´The Word of God´, as if it is written or can be spoken.

The vibration that AUM or Sohang symbolizes comes from the edge of the universe, which is only far away if you let yourself be deceived by a world defined by linear time as experienced through the outer senses.

Glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One are echoes of oneness coming out of a black hole at the edge of the universe. However, this is not far away when you ignore the outward-facing senses and their world defined by time and space and go with the inward-facing ones instead because they are not ruled by time and space. Thus you can see, hear, feel or taste the echo of oneness regardless of where you appear to be in the world of the outward-facing senses.

A way to ignore the outward-facing senses so you can hear or feel the echo of oneness with the inward-facing senses is not to be exclusive but inclusive. When you include all that you hear or feel completely unedited – or are willing to – the sum of everything in the world of the outward-facing senses is heard by the inward-facing senses. It sounds or feels like a humming of nothing and everything simultaneously. And it feels like you are both in the world of the outer and inward-facing senses.

You can also use the word Aum or Sohang as a launching pad for hearing or feeling the humming coming from the edge of the universe. Please read the article Life has no secrets to learn how to do it without spending years meditating, chanting and whatnot.

THE THIRD EYE
Seeing glimpses of oneness is done via the inward-facing sense called the third eye, a single ‘eye’ in the middle of the two eyes above the two eyebrows.

»The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.« Matt 6:22, King James Bible. This makes much sense to one who is to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One but obviously not to the unenlightened, because in the new international version of the New Testament this sentence has been changed to: »The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy, your whole body will be full of light.«

How this is meaningful to the unenlightened, Alexius does not know. But he knows it makes no sense to one who is to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One.

When you for whatever reason – maybe due to being very desperate, drunk or tired – are unable to focus, the Enlightenment of that which is One is bid welcome. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

The enlightenment of that which is One is bid welcome by completely ignoring the outward-facing senses. First time this happened for Alexius was when he returned home totally exhausted after a long nights work of taxi driving and simply was too tired to focus.

In other words, to be offbeat, exhausted, confused or maybe even drunk is a way to forget the outward-facing senses, so that there is no world to see and therefore nothing to hide the Enlightenment of that which is One. In fact anything that is not part of a scheme to fabricate images defined by time and space will do.

If that includes drugs Alexius does not know, because he has not experienced them. Yet he can say from looking at others taking drugs, that it seems to be more about expanding the consciousness of a world where there seems to be more than one than undoing it.

»Direct your eyes toward the middle of the eyebrows and meditate upon your own self. It is Shambhavi Mudra, the most secret practice of all the Tantra scriptures.« Gherand Samhita, stanza 59.

The positioning of the body, while activating the third eye, does not matter, as long as the body does not bother you.

Practically speaking you can turn off the visual outward-facing sense and open the third eye by closing the eyes and lightly, without any concentration, hold a finger on the third eye. You can do it anywhere in any position. However, it is best to do in a dark room, so you do not think the revelation of light comes from the world of the outward-facing senses.

If something like this is dechiffered into different colors and forms, you will have glimpses of the enlightenment of that which is one, but if you do not judge any colors or forms to be different from each other the apparent differences will explode into one bright light.

If having a vision like this and it is deciphered into an experience of different colours and shapes around a centre, it is a glimpse of ‘the Enlightenment of that which is One.’ If you on the other hand do not judge the apparent different colours and forms to make a difference or to come from somewhere specific, one bright and colourless light, that seems to explode from out of nowhere wipes out all thoughts collected to form you into someone definitive, so nobody gracefully falls into the formlessness of oneness.

Since the eyes always looks for the greatest contrast of light, your closed eyes automatically search the darkness until they move inwards and upwards towards the third eye from where they settle at a light show exposed at such a speed that the apparent contrast between the splashes of colours hardly can be perceived.

»Touching eyeballs as a feather, lightness between them opens into the heart and there permeates the cosmos.« Sochanda Tantra, stanza 13.

If your eyes do not automatically move inwards and upwards into the area of the inward-facing senses above the eyebrows, you may help them by gently pressing the thumb and middle finger on the outer corner of the eyeballs, while having the middle finger on the third eye.

However, this is not really commendable, since even the slightest effort requires focus, and it is not focus but defocus that bids welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One or glimpses of it. Furthermore this may give you the impression that certain physical postures can open the third eye.

None of the inward-facing senses are reached via a specific posture or way of thinking. But deactivating the outward-facing senses can be achieved in this way, so if you find a specific technique that seems helpful regarding this by all means go for it. However, the fastest way to deactivate the outward-facing senses is to not know what and where you are.

A way to to deactivate the outward-facing senses is to use an eye massager with infrared heat fusion technology, such as Breo iSee4 Eye Massager. Besides from turning off the outward-facing sense of seeing, the heat soften the eyes. And when they are relaxed, they do not focus. Hence they automatatically turn inwards and upwards to merge with the third eye.

»… and there shall be no light there, and they need no candle there, neither the light of the sun, for the Lord God giveth them light.« Rev. 22:5

The thought construction that seems to keep you together as someone tangible is left at the edge of a black hole.

When your eyes are so soft that they do not focus, there is nothing to prevent glimpses of Enlightenment to merge into one bright white light, namely the Enlightenment of that which is One. It extracts all thoughts, that you have stored to appear as someone definitive, and leave them at the edge of what may look like a black hole, so there is nobody to experience the nothingness of you gracefully falling into the formlessness of oneness.

Enlightenment is not an out-of-the-body experience as it is not an experience, but its preliminary stage of bliss and compassion, which is connected to the world via the pineal gland, is an experience that is often perceived to be out-of-the-body.

Enlightenment of that which is one is not an out-of-body experience. It is not an experience at all. But its preliminary stages of bliss and compassion, which in the world may to be connected with the pineal gland, is something that may be felt as an out-of-body experience.

Most, however, are afraid of loosing their identity, so they settle for glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One, which is like a blissful out-of-body experience – presumably linked to the pineal gland. It appears to foster states like that.

If you are not tempted to stop at this state of bliss, but to go where someone definitive cannot go, namely into the Enlightenment of that which i One, it is not an out-of-body experience. On the contrary, there is no experience at all, nor consciousness, because to be awate of something requires more than one.

If you want to leave the Enlightenment of that which is One and be reshaped as someone definitive, you must pick up the thoughts, that was left at the edge of a black hole so you could enter it as nobody.

Returning from the Enlightenment of that which is One to a world where there seems to be more than one, you cannot know, you have been at the other side of a black hole, because you were not there and there is no other side, since there is no more than that which is one. In other words, the person you appear to be is not Enlightened. Yet, due to vague memories of that which is one, you are to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One.

It is not possible though for somebody else to know, this. You will hardly grasp it yourself. But for sure you grasp, that a world where there seems to be more than one is not real.

When you thoroughly enjoy the music of the outward-facing, it reminds you of the airy music you can experience with the inward-facing senses. It is full of ethereal harmonies floating out of a black hole at the edge of the universe.

Being used to take a ride in the world of the inward-facing senses, that opens up when the outward-facing senses are not fully used to experience a world defined by time and space, you sense the first sentence of this quote refers to ‘Aum’ or ‘Sohang’ or ‘The Word of God,’ and that the second one to ethereal music.

»At midnight when not a single sound is heard, close your ears with both hands and do Purak Pranayama. Listen to the sounds in your right ear which are very pleasant. The first sound that you will hear is of a pine bird, the second of a flute, third of a cloud, fourth of a dragon bee, the fifth of a ringing bell and then of a gong of metal. Sounds of trumpet, drum etc. are also heard.

Except for having scim read The New Testament and Bhagavad Gita Alexius have not read religious scripts. Therefore, most of the words in the quote from Gherand Samhita are meaningless to him. But since he hears inner music himself, it is easy to pick the essence of the quote, the bliss of listening to ethereal harmonies.

Besides these, many other sounds are heard if it is practiced daily. These sounds are Anahata (unproduced) and come on their own accord. Nada is related to light. Light is related to mind, so mind gets itself merged in a sound which is the seat of the Lord. Therefore, practice of Bhramari gives Siddhi of Samadhi (i.e., makes Samadhi possible).

Mind gets eightfold more pleasure in the act of meditation than Japa (repeating God’s name), eightfold more interest in Tapas (penance) than the meditation, and eightfold more interest in music or sound than the Tapas. There is nothing greater than music.« Gherand Samhita, stanzas 77-81. Besides for the word ´Nada´ meaning music Alexius does not know the meaning of all the Hindi words in this quote, but hearing inner music himself – though not so bombastic as described in this quote – he gets the overall meaning of it.

Using noise-cancelling headphones is a great way to close off the outward-facing sense of hearing. Alexius prefers in-ear headphones, though, as they can also be used when going to bed.

A practical way to stop hearing the world of the outward-fencing senses and start listening to the music of the inward-fencing senses is to put both thumbs in your ears. But you can also use noise-cancelling headphones or in-ear headphones. Then without focusing or trying to define anything, be nothing but the ethereal music coming to you from what may seem far away.

For tuning in, it is best not to go with the vibrations from the left ear. They often are the sounds of a busy mind. So instead, follow the harmonies that appear to come from an empty space a bit outside of the right ear. That said, do not pay too much attention to directions.

Maybe you will not hear ethereal harmonies immediately but the humming symbolised by ‘Aum’ or ‘Sohang’ or ‘The Word of God.’ If so, go with this glimpse of the Enlightenment of that which is One. It could also be that you ‘hear’ thoughts. But they will not disturb you from hearing eternal harmonies if that is what you want – nor from having visions of light, infinite sweetness or sublime intimacy.

Tasting the sweetness of oneness helps you not to focus on the world of the outward-facing senses. Thus glimpses of Enlightenment coming from the world of the inward-facing senses become the foundation for perceiving the world of the outward-facing senses. Since this, eventually, results in not perceiving the apparent differences to make a difference, there is no separation to hide that which is one. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

THE TASTE OF ONENESS
Tasting the most exquisite food, one is reminded about the taste of oneness, if not entirely in the world of the outward-facing senses. It can be compared to the transparent taste of the foam in a milkshake with a few drops of honey and maybe with a hint of either liquorice, strawberry, or mint. It can also be compared to how marshmallows – especially those with a flavour of strawberries – interact with the palate.

Some Chinese Herb Formulations or teas – for example Spring Dragon Longevity Tea – enhance the taste of oneness, provided you already are in touch with it. The same applies to the Ayurvedic teas, that Alexius have tasted and most teas including liquorice.

But it is best not to compare the taste of oneness or other glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One to anything else, as all comparisons are based on definitions from the past and, therefore, cancel out the ever-present glimpses of Enlightenment.

Even though this taste is called the nectar of life in some scriptures, you should not expect it to make you younger or inject you with more energy in the world of the outward-facing senses. Getting more is an illusion based on the belief that there is more than that which is One.

One way of undoing this belief is not to focus because without it, the apparent differences in a world where there seems to be more than one become blurred. Thus different appearances do not seem to hide, there is no more than the formlessness of that which is one. Fortunately, the side-effect of the technique for the taste of oneness is defocusing.

The inner sense of taste not only stops the compulsive focusing on forms but also your cravings for sweets and to experience  something definable. The taste of life is always there and it is free. Neither do you have to meditate or be pure to consume it. All you have to do is to put your tongue behind the uvula. And if you cannot do that, it is also OK, because doing so is just meant to help you deactivating the outer senses and the only thing that really accomplish that, is the intention to do it. Just like even you are at a springboard, you will not dive from it, if that is not your intention of going there.

The inward fasing sense of taste does not only diminish the compulsive focusing on something definitive but also your cravings for more, for example sweets. The taste of oneness is always there. It is free, and you do not have to meditate or be pure to have it. All you have to do is to put your tongue behind the uvula and devote yourself to the taste of oneness. If you cannot get your tongue there, it is not a problem. Doing so is meant to help you deactivating the outward-facing senses and the only thing that really accomplish this, is the intention of doing it. In other words, reaching the uvula with your tongue is good enough. Actually, when you hold the underneath of your tongue on the soft area beneath the uvula you feel the empty breath (see What does ‘the empty breath’ feel like?) and get the sweet taste of oneness. This is not a metaphor, nor second-hand knowledge but Alexius’ experience from tasting the subleness of oneness on both sides of the uvula. As a result of this technique, the empty breath is activated. It expands the breathing, which makes the the body feel glorious. And the soft taste of oneness prevents you from focusing on the world of the outward-facing senses. Thus you feel absorded by the happiness of abstractness.

The taste of oneness unfolds under the tongue, when it is moved behind the uvula (the skin flap hanging down in the back of the mouth at the entrance to the throat). Placing it there makes you feel like you are not in the world even though you appear to be there. Besides it cutbacks the need to focus on the world of the outward–facing senses and also the longing for more, especially the craving for sweets. That is if you devote yourself to it – no techniques work without devotion. Yet devotion can work without a technique.

To get the tongue behind the uvula you may have to press it backwards for a long time, maybe for months, and finally use a finger to push it the rest of the way. However, this may make you feel as if you are about to vomit. No worries – it is just a feeling. When you are used to keeping your tongue there, it is easy, and there is no sense of vomiting.

To taste the sweetness of oneness, called Khechari Mudray in the above quote, you do not have to literally replicate the ancient technique. Neither do you have to push the tongue behind the uvula as Alexius wrote above. Reaching the soft area underneath the front of the uvula with the backside of the tongue will do. THERE IS NO WAY TO THE ENLIGHTENMENT OF THAT WHICH IS ONE BUT A LOT TO GLIMPSES OF IT
The
way to bid welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One or glimpses of its four facets is not to be pure. Neither is it about how you breathe, eat or anything else you appear to do in the world of the outward-facing senses. Still, things like that may be helpful in deactivating the outward-facing senses.

But no technique can do that if it is not the intention of executing it. In other words, the first step is solely about purpose. If that is to deactivate the outward-facing senses, many techniques may work. The second step is to devote yourself to the lucid journey in the world of the inward-facing senses.

These steps only apply to having glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One and not to welcome in its entirety, as it takes more than one to take any step.

The part of the world of the outer senses you want to experience is not meant to be blurry but in focus, so what you see is definable. It is the other way around with the world of the inner senses,. In other words, the two worlds does in most cases not work well together. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

DAILY LIFE WITH GLIMPSES OF THE ENLIGHTENMENT OF THAT WHICH IS ONE
It is probably best not to be active in the world of the outward-facing senses while having visions of light. This is because the visual glimpses of Enlightenment can become so intense that the world of the outward-facing senses is hardly sensed.

However, the technique for tasting the sweetness of oneness can be carried out while being active in the world of the outward-facing senses. The same applies to enjoying the ethereal harmonies if you hear them without putting your thumbs in the ears. And it also applies to hearing or feeling the vibration that Aum, Sohang and The Word of God symbolise. See Life has no secrets.

This may result in the experience of a world that seems less defined. Not to the extent, though, that you cannot move around but that you feel you are carried around.

That is, as long as you do not take the full tour of these glimpses because it ends in the formlessness of oneness, thus no longer appearing as someone in a world where there seems to be more than one, nor in oneness since that requires more than one. You are not someone at all, so there is no memory or consciousness of ever having believed to be that. Instead, there is what always has been and will be, namely that which is one.

The Hebrew word Elohim was originally a symbol for one perpetual present.

The word god, which is a translation of the Hebrew word Elohim, was at first meant to be a metaphor for that which is one and never ends. Hence the word god was originally a symbol for one perpetual present. As this is not understandable, when you believe to be in a world of linear time, the meaning of the word gradually was changed, so that god became a symbol for one almighty force believed to have created the world defined by time and space in its own image.

But what is not definable cannot create something definable. Hence a world defined by time and space is an illusion and so is the perceived creator of such a world.

APPENDIX ABOUT THE QUOTES
The terminology of yoga and so-called holy scriptures – apart from The New Testament and Bhagavad Gita – is unknown to Alexius. Thus he does not know the scriptures quoted in this article. He found the quotes by searching the internet.

When everything is included, there does not appear to be something outside you. Consequently, nor inside, as that requires there is something outside you. Hence there is nothing but the formlessness of oneness.

Alexius does not sympathise with Eastern or Western religions or new age philosophy. Generally, they exclude what they judged as wrong by projecting it onto non-believers to make them tainted and themselves pure. Yoga, for example, is often based on meditation, where you must exclude something deemed evil to become one. But oneness is formless, thus endless, so you can neither add nor subtract from it. If you try to do that, you enhance the belief that there is more than that which is One.

The outward-facing senses versus the inward-facing ones

Those who hear or feel the humming coming from far away echoing that which is One cannot use it to make themselves or the world better. But they will be used as a door to close the experience of a world where there seems to be more than one, so there is no experience to hide that which cannot be experienced, namely that which is One. This does not mean they will be transformed because that requires more than one. Neither does it mean they will cease to exist because they have never existed since there is no more than that which is One since it is formless, thus endless. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

If a world where there seems to be more than one is unreal, but that which I am is real, it is impossible to be in such a world. Yet it seems possible to pretend it. This is to say that the below article is written within the framework of Alexius pretending that. Thus, his experiences described below – for example when the Earth stopped moving – are as illusionary as any other experience in a world where there seems to be more than one.

THE OUTWARD-FACING SENSES VERSUS THE INWARD ONES
The first time the world stood still was in Alexius’ teen years. He looked out the window, and everything was covered by snow. It was like the whiteness outside of him turned everything white inside him to the sound of Donovan gently singing Jennifer Juniper coming from his speakers.

He forgot to participate in the story of time and space. The air was perceived so thin that there was no space between anything. Although music was coming out of his speakers, the silence was so loud that all he heard was the echo of that which is One.

Much later on a walk along the sea, the echo of oneness was there again – and not so much later, when he was walking on a pedestrian street busy handing out flyers, the distant echo of oneness was so intense that even though people were moving around him, there was no movement and no people. He did not know what it was, but it did not seem tangible.

After being accustomed to hearing the echo of that which is One, he realised that this distant humming is what the words Aum, Sohang or The Word of God symbolise and that the reason people do not hear it is that they are expecting those words to reveal a higher understanding. But there is no understanding to be revealed, neither is there any need for that, when you hear the distant humming that Aum, Sohang and The Word of God symbolise.

THE ECHO OF THAT WHICH IS ONE
The word guitar is a symbol of something that makes fantastic sounds. But you do not sense them when reading the word unless you have heard them before.

This is the same regarding Aum, Sohang or The Word of God. Those words symbolise the distant humming of oneness. But if you have not heard the unpronounceable vibration of oneness, they will not remind you that it can be compared to the distant sound you hear coming from a computer when your ear is close to it.

To be so close to the computer, though, you have to stop focusing on the world empowered on its screen. The same applies to hearing or feeling the distant echo of oneness coming from the edge of the universe. In other words, you must stop focusing on the appearances in a world where there seems to be more than one to hear the echo of oneness.

You can also compare the echo to transparently hearing the purring of a cat, or feeling your body vibrating like that, or trembling of fear but without fearing something, or shaking of coldness but more lightly and not feeling cold or anything specifically, or feeling the bubbling effect in the body from quickly drinking the foam of Coca-Cola. Furthermore, it can be compared to a subtle version of the sound coming from a vacuum cleaner, the ventilation in an airport, or from the edge of the breath (not the sound of breathing in or out, but at the edge of them).

The echo of oneness hangs about a world where there seems to be more than one. It is the engine of that world but not in the sense that it produces it. It echoes that which has no beginning or end, so it cannot create anything specific. Yet its energy is used to keep together the imagination of a world where there seems to be more than one – just like it is the dreamer’s energy that makes it possible to have a dream. But it is impossible to manifest the dreamer in the dream – likewise, oneness cannot do anything in a world where there seems to be more than one.

The vibration that ‘Aum’ and ‘Sohang’ symbolises is your launching pad to non-duality.

Therefore, if you are dreaming about getting famous or rich or making the world a better place per a specific belief, this primordial vibration is not for you. It knows of nothing to achieve or make better. On the contrary, it undoes everything conceivable, so there is nothing but that which is One, thus nothing but peace, because it takes more than one to not be at peace.

THE ENLIGHTENMENT OF THAT WHICH IS ONE VERSUS GLIMPSES OF IT
The Enlightenment of that which is One cannot be experienced as that requires more than one. Therefore, the above is not about the Enlightenment of that which is One but about having glimpses of it in hearing the vibration that Aum, Sohang or The Word of God symbolise. Such glimpses you have when the definable world of the outward-facing senses is so far-off that the distant humming from the edge of the universe is the nearest.

But this is just one aspect of having glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One. The other ones are striking visions of light, hearing the crispness of ethereal harmonies, tasting the sweetness of oneness, or feeling any of these expressions. However, since society is very focused on visual impact, you may only have heard of the visual aspect of the Enlightenment of that which is One.

The inward-facing senses reveal the glimpses when the outward-facing ones are partly closed. Thus they are not physically tangible. As long you experience the Enlightenment of that which is One in one of its aspects, you have glimpses of it. But if you stop perceiving one of these aspects as it consists of different elements, there is nothing to define you as an experiencer. Therefore, since there is not someone definitive experiencing them, there is no difference between them and you. That is the Enlightenment of that which is One (hack #6.1 From the inward-facing senses through a black hole into that which is One).

REALITY IS NEVER-ENDING. THUS EVERYTHING THAT ENDS IS UNREAL
Compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One or having glimpses of it, appearing to be someone in the world of the outward-facing senses feels like a distraction. But why not enjoy it. There is nothing to lose. You are not someone definitive, so you can pretend to be anybody in the world of the outward-facing senses. If you are into concepts of love, you can perceive the world through such glasses as if everything is love or a cry for love. It is all make-believe, so anything will do. See hack #1.3 Pretending to be someone definitive is liberation.

When the world experienced through the outward-facing senses is an illusion, one may conclude that the world experienced through the inward-facing senses is real. But what is real never ends, so both the inward and outward-facing senses are unreal as all their experiences have an end  – including glimpses of Enlightenment.

THE ENLIGHTENMENT OF THAT WHICH IS ONE IS A JOURNEY WITHOUT DISTANCE TO THAT WHICH IS ONE
Metaphorically speaking, you can say that what you experience via the inward-facing senses is a wall surrounding that which is One. The wall seems to have no substance. Yet it can be seen, heard, felt or tasted. Suppose you do not try to define this. In that case, the outward-facing senses have nothing to work with and a door that looks like a black hole, with a thin frame of white light inside it and rapidly spiralling bright light around it, suddenly and very quickly sucks you into it.

However, since the black hole has no end, you do not reach oneness. Nevertheless, since you leave the belief that you are someone you are where you always have been and will be, namely in the oneness of that which is you. In other words, you have never been definable or experienced anything. Fortunately, that is an illusion.

Are there degrees of Enlightenment?

Enlightenment can also be felt and heard in several degrees. AUM can open your inner ear.

It will seem to happen in degrees because as long as there appears to be an ‘I’ that thinks it has the power to let go of anything, you hang onto the person, thus appearing to be in a world where there seems to be more than one. The answer to the question in the headline is both yes and no. Before elaborating on this, Alexius likes to remind you that if two people drink the exact same cup of tea, they will most likely describe it differently. Maybe one of them talks about it in a very ecstatic way and the other in a very down-to-earth way. Still, it is the same tea, so – in the context of this metaphor – please focus on the tea and not the description when you read this article.

In the Enlightenment of that which is One, everything happens simultaneously. Thus there are no specific elements available to combine into something understandable. Nor is there anybody to be aware of that or anything at all. Therefore, the Enlightenment of that which is One is not an experience or a state of some kind. It is that which is One, and there are no degrees of oneness. In the context of linear time, how long time it lasts is not to say because it is one perpetual present.

To rise again from the dead, as it feels like returning from the Enlightenment of that which is One to a world where there seems to be more than one, you again appear to be someone definitive. Yet, this is not something you believe to be but pretend to be. But whether you believe or pretend to be there, it is something that requires more than one, and so it seems to hide the Enlightenment of that which is One.

You can compare it to activating an app on your computer or smart media. When you do it, the desktop – although still there – is hidden until you turn off the app again.

Alexius is like every other person in the world not perfect. But unlike most others he knows, it is not possible to be perfect, because that requires more than one and there is no more than that which is One.

Alexius was very young when the belief in being someone definitive momentarily turned off for the first time. He did not know about the Enlightenment of that which is One from books or anywhere else, and he did not consider himself to have – what the purist may call – a pure mind or body. He probably still does not have that because the Enlightenment of that which is One does not change anything in the world. Nothing is transformed into peace, love, purity or whatever. There is no more than that which is One, so there is not something to change. That is the revelation of Enlightenment – and there are no degrees in that.

Balance is a concept invented, so that you can always feel out of balance and therefore constantly is occupied trying to get it. Being on a mission like that, you do not have time to see that there is no balance in an illusion – neither btw in that which is real. Reality is one and it takes two to have a balance.

Spiritual wannabe´s try to follow special ideas like for example the concept of balance – as if there is any balance in an illusionary world – so that when they have achieved the right balance they are considered spiritual, which they imagine is manifested by them moving at a very slow pace. This state of numbness they have decided is to be in higher consciousness. Yet high consciousness is as illusory as low, as it takes more than one to be have something. If instead they acknowledged, that they do not know what and where they are, the Enlightenment of that which is One comes so fast, that the the brain has no time to distinguish anything. Thus concepts of spirituality and whatnot falls apart.

He has no answer to questions like how come he bid welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One, or how come he returned to the world again. All he can say is that he is writing this article in a world that seems to be full of degrees. So yes, in such a world, you can experience degrees of Enlightenment. But they are not the Enlightenment of that which is One, though, but glimpses of it.

When he was a child, he was not allowed to see the fully decorated Christmas tree before Christmas Eve. But he took some sneak peeks through the door’s keyhole and was amazed by the light he saw. Those sneak peeks can be compared to glimpses of Enlightenment. You are still in your ordinary world from where you have glimpses of something very different.

In the context of this metaphor, it is not only the beautiful light you experience looking through the keyhole, you can also hear all the glitter move on the green leaves. Actually, if you are more audio than visual-minded, these sounds might bliss you out rather than the light.

Apart from the visual and audiovisual aspects of the Enlightenment of that which is One, there are also aspects of feeling and tasting it. However, you do not need to follow all the aspects to erase what seems to hide that which is the oneness of you. One part will do. Alexius has followed the visual and emotional aspect of the Enlightenment of that which is one into the non-degree version. But since it is one perpetual present, it cannot be brought back into a world of linear time, so there are just vague memories of it.

Glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One is experienced through the inward-facing senses when the outward ones are partly closed. And just like ordinary experiences, there are degrees of them, and they can be remembered in the world of the outward-facing senses. These glimpses come to him daily in various degrees of the four aspects of the Enlightenment of that which is One. In his case, the easiest one is the emotional experience of hearing and feeling the sound that Aum or Sohang symbolises.

It sounds and feels like the vibrations from an enormous vacuum cleaner or the ventilation plant in an airport. Alexius has met people who have heard this humming when meditating but disregarded it as a sound coming from their neighbour using a vacuum cleaner. People spend so much time repeating Aum or Sohang in expectation of something mysterious to happen when all they have to do is repeat it a few times to get in tune with the humming floating on top of the ‘end’ of the word. The word Aum or Sohang can be compared to the control knob on an analogue radio that you use to fine-tune into hearing just one station. When you have gotten it, you do not need the control knob – or in this case, the word Aum or Sohang to hear the echo of that which is One. If you hear or feel the humming of that which is One while still aware of the world, it is a glimpse of the Enlightenment of that which is One, which is revealed in degrees depending on how much you are unaware of a world where there seems to be more than one.

All degrees of Enlightenment are experiences, and any experience is part of the illusion of a world where there seems to be more than one. However, these degrees of Enlightenment appear to bring you closer to the beginning of the world – just after the big bang – which is often experienced as a paradise full of ecstasy and bliss. Yet, like all other experiences, these also have an end. So does this article.

Just like we have the outward-facing senses to see, hear, feel, smell and taste a tangible world, we have inward-facing senses to see, hear, feel, smell and taste an abstract world. However, to use the inward-facing senses, the outward-facing ones must be more or less turned off. Here you can read more about the inward and outward-facing senses.

The more you do not focus on something in the world of the outward-facing senses, the more it is shut down and the less you see a definable world. To be entirely defocused for a moment feels like you die from the world of the outward-facing. And since most people believe being in this world is to be alive, they fight to remain there.

THE DEFLECTION OF FEAR
Psychologist says that when suppressed feelings are about to surface, some unconsciously choose to vomit instead of facing them. It is a bit the same in the total transition from the outward-facing senses to the inward ones. Part of you is afraid of the unknown and tries avoiding it by doing something very physical like vomiting.

However, it is best to avoid vomiting in the phase of the total transition from outer to inward-facing senses. And instead, face the extreme discomfort by including it precisely as it is without trying to understand or embrace it. Thus you are what is in the moment and nothing else. Then it is over. It might be easier said than done, and it probably takes a long time to pass the apparent discomfort.

When one of Alexius’ inward-facing senses opened at a very young age, the outer ones were fully turned off, so there was nothing to block out the Enlightenment of that which is One. Alexius had been driving a taxi for 15 hours and was exhausted to the extent that he confused traffic lights for customers trying to hire a cab.

When he finally returned home from work, there was no energy left to fight the third eye to open up and burn away everything established as Alexius, so that there was no belief in someone definitive to hide there is no more than the formlessness of oneness.

DEEP, DEEP SLEEP
If either the inward or outward-facing senses are intensely used, the other seems to be in the background. For Alexius, it was the most known aspect of the inward-facing senses that dominated when they opened up, namely the ability to ‘see’ light. But not a light that can be compared to anything you can see with the two eyes of the outward-facing senses.

The Bhagavad Gita compares this light to light from thousands of suns, but Alexius would not do that. To compare it to something is to say there is something to see that can be defined by time and space. It is not a light that illuminates something. There is nothing to see – not even light because there is no consciousness of being someone.

Soon after, he had bid welcome the visual aspect of the Enlightenment of that which is One, the inward-facing ear opened with ethereal harmonies sounding like bells, much crisper and softer way than the mundane ones. Regarding the opening of the third eye, he had no discomfort in the transition. Perhaps he was too exhausted to fight it.

Speaking of the opening of the inward-facing ear, it probably ‘happened’ in deep sleep, where the concept of an ‘I’ is gone. Thus there is nobody to hold onto in a world where there seems to be more than one. In such a profound sleep, his inward-facing ear opened up.

The desire to escape that which is One makes you hang onto the belief that you are someone in a world where there seems to be more than one. That is until you realise, it is yourself that you want to escape, because that which is you is no different from that which is One.

TASTING THE SWEETNESS OF ONENESS
The sweetness of that which is One is like a flavour of milk and honey with a hint of liquorice or sometimes strawberry. To start tasting it was not without discomfort for Alexius. His body reacted like it had been attacked by something dangerous and panicked by making vomit reflexes. But when he did not try to escape it, the panic turned out to be a lid on a jug of a smoothie-like texture some scripture calls the nectar of life. Read more about the sweetness of oneness here.

Since the Enlightenment of that which is One cannot be experienced, the next step with this aspect cannot be explained. But metaphorically speaking, the transparent sweet smoothie-like flavour taste turns into the tastelessness of oneness when not defined as a  taste of something known. However, it was not before, after having had several glimpses of this aspect, that Alexius realised he must have bid welcome the taste of the Enlightenment of that which is One because memories start popping up of a shapeless taste.

When the biological system of the body does not function anymore, the world of the outward-facing senses cannot be experienced. But for almost half an hour you remain in the world of the inward-facing senses, and as it is only in the world of the outward-facing senses the belief in being someone specific can be upheld, nobody is dying.

That is if you do not fight the world of the inward-facing senses by holding onto something specific, that reminds you of being someone in the world of the outward-facing senses.

In that which is One, you are not anything at all, not even the bubbling sense of oneness. There is not someone to experience it because that requires more than one. This does not mean that you are gone because that which is you is no different from the formlessness of that which is One. FINALLY, ALEXIUS DIED FROM THE OUTWARD-FACING SENSE OF FEELING THE WORLD
The inward-facing sense of feeling was not easy to reach for Alexius. It took many years of discomfort, vomiting, being hospitalised and sometimes losing the ability to balance – to mention a few of the disturbing things he has encountered as a person getting into the world of the inward-facing sense.

Alexius can add that all memories of discomfort was gone, when he updated this article much later. So do not worry about going with the flow of the inward-facing senses.

But finally, one night, Alexius was in such deep sleep that he completely died from the outward-facing sense. In other words, the belief in being Alexius was momentarily undone so that the Enlightenment of that which is One was bid welcome – not in a visual but emotional way, though. First, there was a moment of discomfort from not sensing his body to be separated from the bed. Then, it was as if everything was like the body and everything else was electric and full of tiny bubbles.

Next, it turned into a feeling with no shape, thus not tangible. Consequently, not establishing Alexius as somebody, wherefore there was and nobody to remember it. In other words, what is written here is based on vague memories that Alexius seem to be able to pick up from what feels very far away and yet right here.

It was unlike in a world defined by time and space, where there seem to be different events happening in sequences of time. There was no time. Everything was happening simultaneously. It was one perpetual present of sparkling bubbles and still is, although returning to a world defined by time and space, it seems to be a sequence of events that is over a long time ago.

Until that night, Alexius only had glimpses of the emotional aspect of that which is One, which is to hear or feel experience the vibration that Aum, Sohang or The Word of God symbolises. If you want to learn how to have such glimpses, check out Life has no secrets.

To die from the outward-facing senses and return to them again can be compared to rebooting a computer. You come back with a blank slate. Here Alexius is rebooted in a hospital where they spoke a language foreign to him except for the language of their laughter. BACK IN A WORLD WHERE THERE SEEMS TO BE MORE THAN ONE
To leave the Enlightenment of that which is One and reappear as someone in a world where there seems to be more than one, all that is needed is to perceive something as it differs from something else, thus confirming separation. Alexius remembers that when he first time returned from the intense glimpse of the vibration that Aum, Sohang and The Word of God symbolise, he was brought back by the wish to live as someone as opposed to becoming nobody. Since such a contrast – or any other for that matter – is only applicable in a world where there seems to be more than one, Alexius appeared to be there again.

To experience the Enlightenment of that which is One, there must be someone to experience it. However, that is impossible because it takes more than one to experience something. Thus Alexius’ Enlightened Non Teachings discerns between the Enlightenment of that which is One and glimpses of it.

The former cannot be experienced and the latter is an experience of Enlightenment comparable to watching a movie trailer, which means it is not the Enlightenment of that which is One but a sample of it.

Yet that applies to everything experienced because it requires more than one to be aware of something, and there is no more than that which is One since it is formless, thus endless. SINCE IT TAKES MORE THAN ONE TO EXPERIENCE SOMETHING, AND THERE IS NO MORE THAN THAT WHICH IS ONE, EXPERIENCES ARE UNREAL
We all know that within the framework of a world where there seems to be more than one, the world simulated in virtual reality glasses is not real and that when you take off the glasses, everything that appeared to be in the virtual world disappears, so that is not something to disturb you from seeing what is considered the real world.

Likewise, the more the outward-facing senses are turned off, the less definable appearances prevent you from being in the abstract world of the inward-facing senses with glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One.

But the experience of this world full of lucid light, ethereal music, sweet nectar or transparent bubbles disappears if the outward-facing senses are entirely turned off, as that leaves nothing to define those glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One. Hence there are no glimpses to experience, nor somebody specific to experience them, and thus not something to hide there is nothing but one perpetual present.

Please do not take the expression in Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings about the inward and outward-facing senses too literal. The world of the inward-facing senses refers to a world that is not experienced as outside of you, whereas the world of the outward-facing senses are experienced outside of you. However, all experiences are make-believe.

From the perspective of a world where oneness is divided into more than one, that which is One is nothing. But from the standpoint of oneness – though no such thing is possible, as it requires more than one to have a point of view – it is everything because it is formless, thus endless.
