You must play the game of duality to hack it

Updated December 29, 2022

First, Alexius thought his fear was caused by his father, who often exploded in anger and beat him when he was a child. Next, Alexius assumed he caused it himself because he was afraid of not being good enough. Then he stopped looking for a cause. And as there is no effect without a cause, fear as a specific feeling was gone. Thus he was free to go with the duality flow. Be aware that it is not physical, thus not in the body but in the psychological sphere. You can read where that is in The psychological zone is anywhere but in something solid. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

This article continues the previous one, Alexius’ childhood, where his conditioned one-sided perception in his childhood was revealed as twofold. In this article, we take a more general look at how to be in sync with duality, thus feeling complete.

When Alexius was about six years old, lying on the floor while his father kicked him, Alexius became aware that his life was a charade. Thus he instinctively mimicked fear by shivering all over. Since it seemed to hold off his father, he concluded that making the body tremble to appear scared was the way to stop being maltreated.

And since he forgot everything he did was pretence, provoking a muscle spasm in the body became his way to fend off feeling helpless. Fortunately, later he remembered that everything he does is a pretence. Therefore, since his feelings were unreal, there was no reason to fight feeling helpless.

Next, he made the obvious conclusion that nobody does anything authentic. It is something they pretend, like when we pretend to do something in a game. Consequently, there is no reason to fear or judge anybody or expose their emptiness except to help them see that being someone in a world of duality is as unreal as being in a game. See more about playacting in hack #1.3 Pretending to be someone definitive is liberation.

After that, he realised that feeling helpless is not a specific feeling because, in a world of duality, everything comes in pairs of opposing elements that constantly interact. And going with the interaction, you feel complete in the duality flow. But as promised in the last article and the beginning of this one, this piece is not about Alexius’ past and his way to the duality flow but how you get there and follow it to the end of duality.

When you interpret something as beautiful, you will also see something deemed ugly. Opposing contrasts are the way of duality. Thus you are not going to feel the satisfaction that comes from twofoldness if you try to correct or remove the ugliness to hold onto a distinct view of beauty.

Twofoldness occurs as automatically as breathing in is followed by breathing out – and it feels as satisfying. Accepting one polarity, it is soon replaced by another. Therefore, since you are in the duality flow, you feel vitalised. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

THE LONELINESS OF SINGULARITY VS THE TOGETHERNESS OF TWOFOLDNESS
Since everything is twofold in a world of duality, a singular impression, such as love, is fake. That is why you feel disconnected when you hold onto a specific feeling. But, no worries, it is easily corrected. First, you perceive your fixed feeling as ‘it is what it is.’ Then, in a state of expectation calling for nothing specific, your special feeling gently turns inside out and unveils its counterpart inside it. In this case, love gently opens, and hate quietly comes out. However, like breathing in and out does not happen simultaneously, love and hate are not felt simultaneously.

But the love you feel is defined by hate, which is characterised by love. Thus you see, there is no true love without hatred and vice versa. Should you, out of habit, suppress hatred to hold onto a specific memory of love, you feel disconnected until you remember that feeling connected comes from twofoldness, thus not separating love and hate.

Living in a world of duality is so much easier when you know that wholeness in such a world is to be twofold.

You may not observe the transition from love to its counterpart, hate, just like you generally overlook that breathing in is replaced by breathing out. Consequently, it probably takes time to acknowledge the constant movement between the opposing poles of duality – in this case, love and hate. And it may take even more time to sense the duality flow, like rolling waves without highs and lows, moving throughout your awareness (read more about that here).

Nevertheless, since the perception ‘it is what it is’ aligns you with duality, you feel connected immediately. However, it does not sync you with duality if you assume your response to an experience is the same as the experience because that does not reveal the interaction of opposites but states your one-sided opinion as a fact, thus that the world is not dual but the specific way you have decided to see it.

In other words, you have used the perception ‘it is what it is’ to disguise that you believe ‘I know what it is’. That happens, for example, if your angry reaction to someone is mistaken for the person. Then anger is not understood as something you feel about someone but how that person looks. So perceiving this individual as ‘it is what it is,’ you use the perception to suppress your response to someone, thus appearing detached from the person proved to be as you decide. In other words, you actually have used the perception ‘I know what it is’, thus hanging onto a single-minded opinion.

When you accept the constant interaction between up and down, you laugh when on top because you are not scared of falling down. And you cry when you go down but without the fear of being stuck at the bottom. Consequently, you have a splendid time going up and down in a world of duality.

However, if you hang onto a distinctive view of something, there is nothing to describe it, wherefore you feel apart. On the other hand, twofoldness makes you feel together in the interaction of opposites.

That something is ugly is not a fact but how you perceive it. However, this singular Interpretation prevents you from seeing it as it is because everything comes in pairs of opposites in a world of duality. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

If you uphold a romantic idea of love by hiding your hatred in a rigid part of the body, you set yourself free from this link of a pshycholigal and physical issue by perceiving your reaction to the rigidity as ‘it is what it is.’

That reveals your response is twofold, so is no specific response to confirm the stiff body part hides your hatred. The sense of nothingness that replaces it makes you laugh.

So if you wish to feel the togetherness of twofoldness, it is not your experience of something that you perceive as ‘it is what it is.‘ Instead, it is the specific response you determine your experience brings about. For example, if you decide your reaction to being rejected is sadness, you perceive that as ‘it is what it is.It reveals your response is not one-sided but twofold. Thus sadness does not settle into definite grief but gently opens up and reveals gladness inside it.

In other words, when the definitive meaning you have assigned to a response is perceived as ‘it is what it is,its opposite is revealed. That is not a metaphor. Literally speaking, you feel sadness replaced by gladness, not quickly but gradually and as automatically as breathing in is followed by breathing out.

However, you are probably so used to hiding how you interpret your responses to make it look like you are cool, so it takes a while before you notice you always choose a single-minded reaction that establishes you are in-the-know. But when you become aware of that and perceive the definitive meaning you assigned to your response as ‘it is what it is,’ it opens up, and its counterpart unfolds from inside, as already described.

Therefore, since your reaction is not singular but dualistic, it does not appear exclusively right or wrong, thus generating neither pleasure nor worry. Instead, it brings about a satisfaction that remains no matter what happens because it does not depend on something specific.

The perception ‘it is what it is’ does not set you free from anger but free to experience it paired with delight. In other words, this perception does not sets you free from duality but free to enjoy it. Actually, so much that, someday, you forget to remember it. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

To escape fear, feeling attacked, furious or hopeless many people choose a distinctive opinion of something. However, since you have to fight to uphold your specific point of view, what you try to escape is enhanced. In contrast, choosing an opinion that is twofold, there is no specific view to uphold, Instead, you are in the resilient energy between opposites, like the springy drive that makes a yoyo going up and down. Hence you feel revitalised by the duality flow.

Since it is not a sensational feeling of adventure but a gentle sense of pleasure, you may fail to notice it. Nevertheless, you will definitely notice that the present moment does not require any effort.

That does not mean you cannot respond with sadness if somebody rejects you. But since sadness is perceived as ‘it is what it is,’ it does not settle into a definite feeling of grief. On the contrary, it interacts with gladness. Accepting the interplay of opposing emotions in one polarity, another twofoldness rapidly replaces it. Thus you are in the duality flow.

When you anticipate your friends’ opinions about a specific feeling, it seems you experience it. Especially if you spin a story about the feeling and present it in a severe tone of voice enhanced by body language illustrating the feeling. Women often use this trick to appear as if they feel something special. But, like men, they do not know who they are. Thus they do not have a clue about what they feel. Unlike women, men do not act as if they feel something important because they think feelings get in their way. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Had you not perceived feeling sad as ‘it is what it is’ but held onto a definite feeling of grief, you would have had to cut off its counterpart, gladness, from your awareness by imagining it is hidden in the darkness of the body, for example, the chest. Hereafter, when you want to hold onto feeling specifically sad, you do that by sensing pain in the chest. Read more about that in hack #4.3 The toxic mix of physical and non-physical issues

o sum up, when your reaction to something is perceived as ‘it is what it is,’ the interpretation of the response is not limited to a singular feeling like shyness. Instead, you go back and forth between that and its contrast confidence, so the opposing elements can define each other, thus establishing genuine feelings.

Being amused by this potency, you go along with the duality flow. Hence the polarity of shyness and confidence is soon replaced by another revitalising polarity. And so it goes until you feel so euphoric that there is no need for more, wherefore the belief in being and having more than that which is One is undone.

You repress your negativity only to appear positive, thus not getting the togetherness of the duality flow but the loneliness of singularity. Besides, being only positive, you do not feel genuine but fake because, without negativity, positivity cannot be defined. In other words, if you want to be genuinely positive, do not avoid your negative feelings by explaining them or justifying them by others but include them unedited, so they can define your positivity and vice versa. As a bonus, this interaction makes you laugh because you feel complete in the duality flow. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Consequently, you should not use the perception ‘it is what it is’ if you do not want to have the belief in being and having more than that which is One undone. Instead, you should use the perception ‘I know what it is.’ However, to make that perception work, you must ignore the counterpart of what you claim to know. So if you, for example, want to appear as if you know the way, you must hide feeling lost. But that makes you feel something is missing. And no matter where you look, you do not see it because you keep insisting, ‘I know what it is.’

But should you want to speed up the undoing of the belief in being and having more than that which is One, you say, ‘dunno what it is,’ thus forgetting you appear as someone in a world where there seems to be more than one. That does not mean your experiences are transformed. Change is a concept of duality. But it means there is nobody to confirm them as something. Hence you do not get the satisfaction of something but the bliss of nothing.

bottle-up-emotionsHow to suppress feelings?
If you are not already aware, here are a few samples:

  • Talking about what others do or say instead of how that makes you feel.
  • Trying to help others to remove the attention from you and how you feel yuorself.
  • Falling in love hides the self-hatred inside.
  • Talking about metaphysically things instead of acknowledging, what you feel.
  • Being upset about something on behalf of others.
  • Meditating, chanting, praying or doing similar things to fend off what you feel.
  • Finding psychological, or any other kinds of explanation for what you feel.
  • Eating or drinking to suppress ones’ feelings.
  • Trying to prove a factual point to hide what you feel.
  • Following ideas for living in the now, or trying to live by any other totalirian concept.
  • Blaming others and justify your feelings by them.
  • Much planning and control.
  • Constantly looking for new things to buy or change.
  • Trying to always be in a good mood.
  • Working a lot and for instance clean your home, when you are upset.
  • Reading or playing computer games regularly.
  • Having revenge sex.
  • Staging yourself on Facebook – perhaps to get as many likes and followers as possible.
  • Publish photos of your happy and shiny life on Instagram.
  • Quoting others to prove you are right.
  • Keep imagining how to solve things or just making up stories.
  • Sitting with crossed legs, locking the knees by bending them backwards, raising one or both shoulders or pushing them forward.
  • Holding back the breath.
  • Assuming to know what is right and wrong.
  • Concluding this and that.

And how to not suppress your feelings?
In the duality flow feelings become very defined, but only in relation to their counterpart. Therefore, since they are not definitive but relative, you have no specific feelings to suppress.

‘What if…?’ versus ‘it is what it is’

Updated December 27, 2022

Spirituality is that which is one. And since it takes more than one to become something, you cannot become spiritual unless you believe it is possible to be and have more than that which is one. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

This article is a continuation of Sadness is a close friend of gladness about the perception ‘it is what it is,’ revealing every experience is dual. Adjusting to twofoldness, you feel so complete in a world of duality that you eventually forget to remember being someone.

WHAT IF…? VERSUS ‘IT IS WHAT IT IS’
You need to be fully anchored in the belief that you are someone in a world of duality if you want to undo this belief – just like you need to play a game to finish it. That is why this article is written within the context of duality. In such a world, psychological and physical issues do not mix. So if you conclude your worries are caused by something physical or what you feel in your body is caused by your anxiety, you deceive yourself.

Maybe you interpret your physical pain in the foot as fatal and imagine it is linked to a psychological issue from the past. Consequently, the psychological aspect appears to have caused the physical one.

Hereafter, the physical and psychological issues seem to impact each other significantly the more your imagination runs wild on a loop set off by envisioning ‘what if…?’ However, since your reaction to your thought-up outcome is revealed as two-fold when perceived as ‘it is what it is, there is no specific reaction to confirm your alleged cause-and-effect between non-physical and physical issues. Hence it is no more and never was except in fantasy. Read more about cause and effect here.

In hack #4.3 The toxic mix of physical and non-physical issues, you can read more about the unfortunate belief that physical and non-physical issues can be mixed.

Therefore, the physical problem can be dealt with materially and the psychological one immaterially. Naturally, this is much easier and less scary than when fantasising about a connection between physical and psychological issues – just like daily life feels less dangerous when not mixing it with fantasies.

You cannot change physical reality. But if you perceive it so it makes you suffer, you can change your perception to one that makes you feel good.

You probably will be diagnosed with vertigo* if you experience the world spinning around you. However, that does not mean the doctor believes your experience is real. On the contrary, it is a hallucination because the world cannot revolve around you. Nevertheless, please do not deny it is your experience. But deny it is real. When you do that, the fear goes away. Thus you realise the whirling sensation is only going on inside you. Outside you, the world goes on as usual. Therefore, you correct the experience of the outside world spinning around, like you correct seeing the earth flat. Eventually, you realise that nothing experienced is real, as it takes more than one to be aware of something, and there is no more than that which is One since it is formless, thus endless. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

IN A WORLD OF DUALITY, YOU FEEL WHOLE BY BEING TWOFOLD
Having vertigo* is a glaring example of believing the experience of something beyond the bounds of possibility is authentic. The world is not spinning around you. Instead, it is an inner adventure where everything rotates to suppress your horrifying interpretation of an experience. But since the whirling sensation disturbs the image of yourself, you disassociate yourself from it by projecting it onto the outside world.

That is until you stand by your horrifying interpretation, so it can be perceived as ‘it is what it is.That makes a crack in horror. And out of it comes something which initially feels pretty abstract. But as soon as it has been defined by horror, it settles as fearless to redefine horror. In this interplay, the opposing feelings are not independent but interdependent. Therefore, since you cannot feel afraid without feeling fearless and vice versa, you do not need to avoid the experience you initially interpreted as solely fearful.

Another way of explaining this is that when your single-minded response of sadness, for example, is perceived as it is what it is’ you feel like it is an airball of misery somewhere undefinable. If you do not attempt to explain this vacuum, it is like it balloons outward in a swelling bubble of gladness. However, holding onto gladness to escape sadness makes you feel alone because gladness is a singular feeling. On the other hand, going with the interaction of gladness and sadness, you feel whole in their togetherness. To conclude, when not having a singular but a twofold response, you do not feel alone but together in the duality flow. Read more about the experience of the duality flow here.

Should this procedure seems too complicated, and you forget what to perceive as ‘it is what it is,’ you perceive your reaction to this confusion as ‘it is what it is.’ Therefore, you are in the duality flow since your response is revealed not to be singular but twofold. And since you are in a world of duality, you feel fulfilled.**

If your vertigo is not too intense, you could approach it practically by doubting your experience and asking the brain to correct it so the world does not seem to move around you.

But if your vertigo is caused by a physical problem, such as tiny crystals of calcium that have gotten loose in the inner ear, you deal with it materially. Maybe you consult a healthcare professional or do the Epley exercise. If, however, your reason for doing that is to get it over and done with, you are most likely fixated on returning to things as they were.

It is impossible to experience something because it takes more than one to do so, and there is no more than that which is One. But since you are reading this, you believe it is possible to be and have more than one. Hence you must feel what and where you believe in being, to undo this belief.

Always perceiving your response to something as ‘it s what it is,’ you do not have to control your reaction to avoid feeling wrong because it is complemented by feeling right. However, that does not mean right and wrong are balanced. Dualism is not about balance because that cancels out contrasts, and therefore a world of duality (read more about that here). Instead, duality is about the dynamic interaction between opposites, for example, breathing in and out. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Thus you do not feel fine regardless of the outcome like you do when you perceive your reasoning as ‘it is what it is.’ As aforementioned, this perception replaces a singular argument with a dualistic one. Many duality pairs could be in play. But you must explore that yourself because this article is about to finish.

If this seems abrupt, and your reaction is astonishment, please perceive it as ‘it is what it is.’ By doing that, astonishment is no longer excluded from its counterpart, calmness. Therefore, since you are in the duality flow, you move on to other duality pairs, such as abrupt/gradual, beginning/ end, or expectation/surprise. If you do not stop the duality flow by avoiding or enhancing one part of a duality pair, you, eventually, are blown away by the interaction of opposites. Thus nobody walks a path without distance or direction to that which is everywhere since it is formless, thus endless, namely non-duality.

To be continued in Alexius’ childhood.

*) In the article, Psycho-Physiological Dizziness Syndrome, approaching vertigo as a psychological problem is described in more detail than here. However, it does not align with the foundation of Alexius’ Duality Hacks.

**) Alexius does not write about something he has not encountered himself. So he knows the perception ‘it is what it is’ works in the way he put forth. In his case, though, he does not only use the fulfilment that comes from the duality flow to deal with the world of duality in a relaxed way but as a stepping stone to glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One. Thus he goes to sleep bathed in light and wakes up in the morning hearing ethereal harmonies. Read more about that here

‘I know what it is’ vs ‘it is what it is’ vs ‘dunno what it is’

Updated January 6, 2023

Suppose you see yourself on top of it and know where to go. In that case, try to imagine you do not know. Then feel which of the approaches makes the body relax. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

In most cases, you do not have to read Alexius’ Duality Hacks in a particular order. But in the case of this article, you may benefit from reading hack #4.1 The basic self versus the special one.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

When the brain’s script is perceived as ‘it is what it is,’ your dark feelings are not excluded but included. This perception, therefore, is not a way to the dullness of detachment but the vitality of involvement. And it is very close to the nothingness from where the brain scripts its story of duality. Not as close, though, as with the perception’ dunno what it is’ because it exposes all experiences are nothing.

That is why you get the bliss of nothing from perceiving your reaction to an experience as ‘dunno what it is,’ whereas you get the sadness of something specific from ‘I know what it is,’ and the happiness of duality from ‘it is what it is.’

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Since the self-perception of the special self is built upon the perception ‘I know what it is,’ it rejects what would make it relax, namely the bliss of nothing.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The basic self and the special one are bound to follow the GPS coordinates from the brain without making side trips. They do not have the power to change the journey – only how to perceive it. Their perception of that, though, is different. The basic self basically perceives everything as ‘it is what it is,’ and the special one as ‘I know what it is.’

That is why it is easy for the basic self to be someone and hard work for the special one. It has to make a special perception of each experience, establishing that ‘I know what it is.’

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

When your reaction to something is perceived as ‘it is what it is,’ there is no need to make anything disappear. But when the perception is ‘I know what it is,’ you must avoid everything unknown to make you look like you are on top of it.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The special self does not want to perceive its response to itself as ‘it is what it is,’ but asI know what it isbecause the latter perception upholds the idea of being specific, whereas the former makes it twofold, thus as ugly as beautiful. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

It feels like something is missing when you perceive your reaction to an experience as ‘I know what it is’ because the perception is specific, thus based on suppressing its counterpart. But if your response to an incident is perceived as ‘it is what it is,’ you feel complete because your reaction is revealed as twofold. That is because the perception, ‘dunno what it is,’ does not result in a specific feeling or twofoldness. Thus you are in the bliss of nothing.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Only the brain can make you feel good enough because nobody else knows what you are. You do not have to get its approval because it loves you as you are. However, you do not feel that when you reject it. Fortunately, all you need to correct that is to perceive your reaction to the experience it processes as ‘it is what it is’. Actually, you do not even have to do that. If you do not interfere in the brain’s workings, it automatically makes this perception.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

You feel happy when your reaction to the experiences the brain makes is perceived as ‘it is what it is’ because that reveals they are twofold: Hence you are in sync with the brain’s script of duality.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Since making a specific perception takes a long time, it is often delayed, thus out of sync with the present moment. The frustration this entails only worsens if you try to solve it by using more time to process your experience. In contrast, using the brain’s default perception, ‘it is what it is,’ you are in sync with the present moment. Hence everything feels good.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The stories the special self makes about its greatness are not always consistent. Thus it often feels disorganised and wishes to be like those it perceives as organised. On the other hand, the basic self has no need to be anything other than in sync with the stream of thoughts coming from the brain by perceiving its reaction to it as ‘it is what it is.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

What do the expressions of Alexius’ cat, Wincent, mean? Alexius cannot know, but if he reckons that he does, he gets stressed from trying to make it true. On the other hand, if he perceives his reaction to Wincent as’ it is what it is,’ there is nothing to prove and thus no stress. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

For many years Alexius’ cat, Wincent, has more or less had the same routine. Wincent leaves the house early every morning and returns when Alexius is still in bed. Then Wincent greets Alexius, lays down next to him, and waits for him to get out of bed so he can prepare food for Wincent. At least, that is the obvious conclusion because as soon as Alexius takes the first step out of bed, Wincent runs out to the kitchen, where he, with big eyes, sits and waits for Alexius to give him food.

If Alexius believes he knows what is happening, he goes from the perception of the basic self, ‘it is what it is,’ to the perception of the special self, ‘I know what it is.’ Thus he most likely stresses out of bed to feed his beloved cat and establish Alexius is in-the-know. But Wincent does not get his food any sooner than if Alexius had remained the basic self and perceived Wincent’s behaviour as ‘it is what it is’ because the brain’s script runs its course, no matter how it is perceived. Therefore, in this sample, the only difference between the basic and special self is that the former feels relaxed when feeding Wincent and the latter very stressed.

In other words, life is effortless as the basic self but stressful when as the special self because it must always ensure it looks like in charge.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The special self constructs a perception of every experience, so it does not seem to endanger its default assumption, ‘I know what it is.’ Hence it can go on believing it is mastering its life. But since it does not even know what it is, thinking to know the world makes it suffer emotionally and mentally.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

If you feel bad, it does not indicate you should do something else because you have no say in what is happening. However, you can decide how to perceive it. If you choose ‘it is what it is,’ the bad feeling is complemented by a good one. Therefore, since they, as a team, define each other, you also feel good when feeling bad and vice versa. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

The basic self does not assume that something will happen in a specific way because every experience is perceived as ‘it is what it is.’ Thus getting old and unable to do what it used to is as much a loss as a gain.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

No emotion needs to be escaped when every feeling is perceived as ‘it is what it is.’ Hence you are at peace.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Perceiving a movie as cheap because it uses furniture from Ikea, you are probably out of sync with the plot. Hence the story does not seem as entertaining as when your perception is synced with the action. However, this does not mean you must do something about your condemnation of Ikea to get in sync with the movie’s script.

All you need is to perceive your reaction to the furniture from Ikea as ‘it is what it is.’ When you do that, your response is revealed as twofold, wherefore, there is no specific reaction to prevent you from being in sync. Hence both the script and your misperception of it seem enjoyable. Likewise, when you perceive your response to the brain’s manuscript as ‘it is what it is.’

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Since the perception ‘it is what it is,’ arises from not focusing on something specific, the technique for the taste of life will get you there if used gently. Applied more passionately, you get the perception’ dunno what it is.’ See The four aspects of Enlightenment and how to sample them.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Nobody, nor Alexius, is solely the basic self. The special self will exploit the innocence of the basic self. Fortunately, appearing special is not a problem for the basic self because it perceives its reaction to everything as ‘it is what it is.’ Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Roughly speaking, the perception of the special self is ‘I know what it is.’ In contrast, the basic self sticks to the brain-generated perception of ‘it is what it is.’ The non-self in a state of not-knowing says ‘dunno what it is’ because it does not perceive the apparent differences in the experiences produced by the brain to make a difference. Read more about a state of not-knowing here.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

When the perception of your response to an experience is ‘I know what it is,’ you feel important but also exhausted because it requires much manipulation to make it look like you are in the know. That is why the special self always needs more energy, contrary to the basic self, which feels fine regardless of being energetic because it has nothing to live up to.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Since the brain’s script contains every possible experience when synced with the brain, you are the past, the future and everything else conceivable but not the formlessness of oneness as it cannot be experienced. Thus all you need to cross the apparent barrier to oneness is not to experience anything.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

When you perceive yourself as a victim of others, you are out of sync with the brain’s script because nobody causes anything but the brain, regardless it appears physical or immaterial. And everything it does is out of love for everyone. Fortunately, all that is needed to correct feeling victimised is to perceive it as ‘it is what it is.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Triumph and disaster are not perceived as equally entertaining by the special self. Yet, that is what they are if one of them is perceived as ‘it is what it is’ because it reveals no triumph without disaster and vice versa.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The special self wants to be free of the brain, but the only one oppressing it is itself. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Practically speaking, you are always in sync with the brain. You cannot choose not to follow its script of duality. But you can choose to think you know a better way. However, the brain does not give a damn. Its script goes on as it has programmed, so nothing has changed other than you do not feel connected.

In other words, being in sync with the brain’s script of duality is not a matter of waiting for things to happen, according to the manuscript. They always do. It is simply a matter of perceiving your reaction to what happens as ‘it is what it is.’ By doing so, you see your response is not singular but twofold. Thus you are in sync with the script of duality.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Many try to solve the feeling of not being good enough by finding somebody who admires them. Others may clean the house, go shopping, eat, smoke, have sex, or whatever makes them forget they do not feel wanted. But maybe most try to resolve feeling inferior by making others wrong. However, none of these methods works because feeling unwanted comes from how you assume the world should respond to you and not how it does.

The root of this misperception can be found by walking down memory lane. But it probably takes a long time, and you may miss it. Fortunately, the misperception can be corrected immediately by perceiving feeling inferior as ‘it is what it is.’ Since that takes the distinctness out of the feeling, it does not have a specific effect on you. Therefore, the next time you, by reflex, create an attitude to disguise you feel inferior, you laugh because ‘it is what it is.’

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

You do not feel stuck when perceiving your reaction to your experience as ‘it is what it is .’ Thus there is no urge to escape or transform anything.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Perceiving everything as ‘it is what it is,’ every experience feels good enough.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

When you always perceive your reaction to something as ‘it is what it is,’ nothing seems wrong. Thus every moment is the perfect moment. And although it has nothing to do with the Enlightenment of that which is One, it paves the way. Hence your story unfolds as planned, and so does the Enlightenment of that which is One. Not because your story built up to the Enlightenment of that which is One. On the contrary, when it seems to fall apart, and you do not try to avoid it, the Enlightenment of that which is One set in. Read more about that in HACK #6 The inward-facing senses, Enlightenment and glimpses of it. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

When your reaction to something in the body is perceived as ‘it is what it is,’ the response is not experienced as singular because, for a moment, it is replaced by a distinct experience of its counterpart, whereafter the two opposing feelings start to interact. Hence you are revitalised by the duality flow.

But when you perceive what you feel in the body as ‘I know what it is’ to uphold a particular point of view, your feeling remains singular. Thus you are in the misery of believing to know something definitive.

If how you react to something in the body is perceived as ‘dunno what it is,’ you are not in the misery of believing to know something definitive because you do not know of a body that feels something. Consequently, you are in a state of not knowing, which is the bliss of nothing. Read more about a state of not knowing here.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

A straightforward way to correct how you respond to yourself is to perceive it as ‘it is what it is.’ That reveals it is twofold. So if your single-minded response is that you are wrong, you see it is interacting with being right. Therefore, since you are in the duality flow, you are not defined as someone specific, nor are those you felt you had to please. Hence they, as well as you, are seen as good enough.

Eventually, the duality flow will undo the belief in being someone. Thus there is nobody to misinterpret anything. However, this hack is about having a good time as someone while having the belief in being that undone. So we go on with the brain’s script. Read more about the duality flow in hack #4.4 The duality flow goes to non-duality.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

If memories from your childhood are the basis for your perception of a movie you watch as a grown-up, you are out of sync with its plot. Hence it seems frustrating rather than entertaining. Fortunately, this is corrected immediately if you perceive the plot, or your judgment of it, as ‘it is what it is.’

This perception makes the plot amusing no matter how it evolves because you are in sync with it as it is and not as you think it should be. Likewise, when the brain’s script is perceived as ‘it is what it is.’

Notes on meditation, the basic and special self

Updated February 3, 2023

Everything in a world of duality comes in pairs of opposing elements defining each other. For example, small is characterised by tall and vice versa. So if you hate big things and abandon them, you exclude small ones as well. Therefore, they become blurry concepts since neither small nor big can be defined. Likewise, if you perceive yourself as free from hatred, the love you believe to experience is fake. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

The purpose of the brain’s experiences is to entertain the self it has created. However, they do not amaze but frustrate you if you perceive them per a conceptualised way of living, such as capitalism, socialism, spiritualism, or another ism made to make you feel more special than in the brain’s setup of the world.

That is because when your perception is founded on a belief system, it is restricted by it, so you do not get the freedom it promised. Primarily because the thoughts you have compiled into perception aligned with your preferred belief system do not like being manipulated. Hence, they move faster and faster to escape your domination.

No worries, if you do not try to stop this restless energy, it automatically ignites a take-off into the empty breath, where the slate is wiped clean. Read more about that in hack #5.2 The empty breath and the bliss of nothing. Therefore, since your perception is automatically synced with the brain’s experiences, you feel entertained by all of them.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

To distance itself from the brain, the special self composes a perception in which the basic self has been transformed into someone special independent of the brain. However, this twisted perception calls for more thoughts than those few the brain has available to make a perception aligned with the basic self. Thus, the special self meditates to generate more thoughts.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Those who perceive themselves as unique beings with the power to do things in their way and pace need many thoughts to uphold their crooked perception. However, the movement of so many thoughts soon becomes so hectic that they try to slow them down via meditation.

That is the official reason. But as anybody who has meditated knows, thoughts multiply when they try to control them. So that is the real reason for meditating because many thoughts are needed to uphold a unique spiritual appearance.

 ∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The special self feels dominated by the natural flow of thoughts coming from the brain. But it is dominated by nothing other than its perception of the flow of thoughts. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

The basic self does not feel disturbed by the flow of thoughts from the brain. On the contrary, it loves its gentleness because it makes it easy to serve the brain in a laid-back way. However, the special self does not want to serve but to master the brain. Thus it feels disturbed by its thoughts, although, if not interfering, there are so few.

The frantic flow of thoughts, the special self experiences, has been generated by itself. It has multiplied the few simple thoughts the brain uses to maintain the basic self, so it has a large complex group of thoughts from which it can compose a perception of itself as an independent being. Then, when it needs a break from the multitudes of thoughts, it looks for something numbing like alcohol, drugs or a mantra.

But if it manages to escape the thoughts, it feels horrified because, without all of them, it cannot make special perception establishing as independent of the brain. Hence it is a servant of the brain. Should it acknowledge that, it feels embraced by the gentle flow of thoughts from the brain.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Most like to believe they feel upset because of the thoughts coming from the brain. However, the distress comes from the attempt to edit thoughts. When a single thought is sought out from the stream of thoughts, it generates a new stream, and if a specific thought is singled out from that, yet another stream is made, and so on – just like if you split a neutron from an atom nucleus, it sends out more neutrons all by itself, that split and sends out more neutrons. It is a chain reaction.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The special self likes to believe that visualising something will make it happen because that seems to confirm it is in control. But if that were true, everybody would win the lottery.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The special self needs alcohol, drugs or meditation to escape the fear of repercussions that projecting its flaws onto others entails. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

To think you are in control is like believing you control the TV with the remote. Somebody else has made what you see, and you can only change your perception of it. That is also how the basic self has been transformed into a special self, namely by perceiving the basic self so that it seems to be an independent being in charge of its life.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Having established itself as someone in charge, the special self needs to meditate or something else that seems to make it able to control thoughts to fool itself into believing that thoughts are not produced by the brain but by itself.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

When the brain has scripted you to feel sexual lust, you will feel horny no matter what you believe in being. However, you will not enjoy it if you try to suppress your sex drive through meditation or tantra sex. Read more about sex here.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

If you perceive yourself as detached from the brain’s experiences, you fool yourself because you need them to prove this.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

When you try to solve absent-mindedness through mindfulness meditation or grounding exercises, you make it worse because you do not know who you are. Only your maker knows that. And since it is the brain, the solution, in the context of believing to be someone, is to be aligned with the brain’s stream of thoughts instead of using meditation to distance yourself from it.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Mindfulness is for those who cannot help exploiting others – like in ancient times, monks introduced meditation to the barbarians seeking shelter in Ashrams to teach them to control themselves, thus refraining from abusing others.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

You try to restrict your only friend, namely the brain, by dividing its duality pairs into separate distinctive elements, for example, good and evil, so you can suppress evil by meditating or projecting it onto others to appear only good, thus beyond the brain’s script of twofoldness. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

The basic self has no need to relax or transform itself through meditation, yoga, fitness and whatnot. On the contrary, its perception is in sync with the flow of thoughts, like a stream of happiness coming from the brain. Therefore, since the happiness sometimes makes the basic self forget what and where it is, it knows it is nothing, thus not something to transform.

In contrast, the special self never forgets being somebody. It is always on a mission to become more and be part of something greater. However,  that never turns out as expected, so it settles for following someone that seems to improve its social status.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The special self always looks for something to fix. But it rejects the solution that would repair everything immediately, namely not perceiving the brain as an enemy but as a friend (read more about that here). By doing that, everybody becomes a friend because the brain produces the experience of others.

Ultimately, the solution is to undo the belief in being someone who experiences something. As this is the end of its existence, the special self avoids it by meditating or something else that seems to confirm it exists.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Those who believe in free will are easily manipulated into following a guru. But you are bound to follow the brain’s commands – like a car is in the hands of the driver, you are in the hands of the brain.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

There is no moment without the past and the future. For example, as in this photo, you must deal with both to keep the balance on a wheel. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen

If you perceive the brain’s basic rendering of the world as dull, the special self sets in by offering you more exotic ways of experiencing it, for example, by coming from the heart (read more about that here) or living in the now.

But since all experiences – no matter where you believe they come from or how they seem to be experienced – are constructions of thoughts fabricated by the brain (read more about that here), these different exciting experiences are nothing but a reconstruction of the thoughts made by the brain.

However, this reconstruction does not work because it is founded on eliminating the thoughts that do not fit the concepts of coming from the heart or living in the now. Therefore, since the experience is not whole, you feel incomplete. In contrast, the brain’s unedited experience, which includes all thoughts popping up, makes you feel complete.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The heart is a muscle from where blood transports oxygen to the cells of the body. If you also have an experience of something spiritual coming from it, you are deceiving yourself. Science discovered over 200 years ago that all experiences are fabricated by the brain.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Like the night excludes the day and vice versa, spirituality excludes consciousness and vice versa.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

When you respond to a computer game, It feels like you are in it. But since your response is based on your interpretation of computer-generated events, what it seems to make you feel is made by you. The same applies to what you feel in the world where you believe to read this. It is founded on your interpretation of the experiences produced by the brain. Consequently, it is you who chooses what to feel.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

When you download a song, you get fragments of it from all over the world that must be organised on your computer into one song in order to be able to hear it. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

When you download a pirated song via a torrent file, you get fragments of the song from computers worldwide, so your computer needs to compile the pieces into one file before you can hear it. This also applies to what you believe in thinking. Thoughts are downloaded from the brain, which stores them chaotically. Read more about that here. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

The file used to download pirated music, called a torrent file, does not contain the actual music. Instead, it grabs a significant number of small files with different fragments of the music you want to download. One file may contain the beginning of the music, another one the end, and others the bits and pieces in between.

The files, chaotically collected from different computers worldwide, do not sound like music before they are combined by an app on your computer, translating it into what you expected to hear when you started downloading all of the components via the torrent file.

The above description of what happens when you download pirated music is more or less a description of what happens when you believe in thinking something specific. The thoughts you believe are yours have been downloaded from the brain.

It is as if there are concepts like mother, child, love, food, and home to pick from. So when you get the urge for ice cream, you dive into the brain’s concept of that. But the brain knows its concepts are fake because there is no more than that which is One. Thus it has stored them unsystematically as bits and pieces of nothing to make them appear as something when downloaded to your awareness that, like an app, combines them into ice cream, for example. So like, downloaded pirated music is not your music, thoughts are not yours, but ‘pirated’ ones from the brain pieced together from nothing, so they appear to prove the collective agreement that you are someone definitive in a world of something.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Mysterious experiences or writings like zen poems have nothing to do with oneness. It is not mystical, pure or anything else because it takes more than one to be something, and reality is that which is One. Hence Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings, like everything else that calls for more than one, is part of the illusion that it is possible to be and have more than that which is One.

But since Alexius’ Duality Hacks expose this illusion, you are also revealed as nothing when you apply them. Hence there does not seem to be something to hide, there never was or will be more than that which is One since it is formless, thus endless.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

If you meditate to exclude specific or all thoughts, you establish them as real – otherwise, there is no reason to get rid of them. But everything you are aware of is unreal because it takes more than one to be conscious of something, and there is no more than that which is one. Fortunately, you eventually forget what and where you appear to be when applying one or more of Alexius’ Duality Hacks. Thus, there is nobody to be conscious of anything.

NOTES:

Being special and depressed, or basic and happy

Updated December 24, 2022

The special self wants to make selected ones feel unique, so they depend on it to be appreciated.

The special self is always looking for errors in its personality to correct, thus appearing in control. But the basic self does not consider itself in charge of anything. Instead, it sees itself as a servant of everything because it adjusts to the flow of thoughts coming from the brain, which is not about personal preferences but what is in the best interest of the whole.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Assuming you are in control, you are under enormous pressure, always looking for thoughts to compose stories where you, not the brain, are in charge.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Being the special self is not about what you do but the thoughts concerning it. Especially thoughts in the category of master and servant – like when you think you are the master of the remote control, your coffee machine, children or pets. Or if you have a boss that puts you down, you still seem to be on top by thinking that you could do it much better.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The special self always finds something about others that it judges wrong. Hence they become the imperfect background for its perfection.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

When the special self perceives to fail, it takes on being secondary. Thus the failure does not seem to have been caused by itself but by somebody else.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The basic self’s perception is synced with the stream of thoughts coming from the brain. Therefore, since it feels connected, it does not need to be or achieve something special to feel good. But the special self is out of sync with the flow. Therefore, since it feels disconnected, it looks for special moments in the past to replicate in the present to feel special.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

You cannot avoid events you see as sad, but you can refrain from perceiving them like that. That naturally occurs for the basic self. Thus it has no need for special events to make it happy.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

When a ball is coming your way, it´s a natural reflex to respond and following such reflexes is pure fun.

When a ball comes towards you, it is an automatic reflex to respond to it. Automatically following such reflexes is natural and invokes how easy it is to be the basic self. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Sometimes a doctor checks the function of a body by knocking on special points to see if the involuntary movements work. However, everything considered voluntary is also an automatic movement governed by the brain. Therefore, if you believe in being in charge of yourself, you have suppressed your reaction to everything that does not fit this belief. Therefore, since that requires much effort and it is effortless serving the brain, being a servant makes you feel free and happy.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

If the special self discovers that others have interpreted something it did as wrong, it avoids feeling guilty by shouting, »Look what you made me do.«

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The experiences the brain produces to make you feel like someone can, in many ways, be compared to the news that Facebook generates for you. Based on the info Facebook has gathered about you, it collects what its artificial intelligence predicts you wish to see, regardless it is fake or not. However, unlike Facebook, the brain has all your info, so the experiences you get from it are based on you. Thus what you experience is what you are. That cannot be altered – only your perception of it.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

A world defined by time and space is a construction of thoughts compiled by the brain. But since it cannot manifest its fabrication, it has made a self that feels the experiences it produces, so it seems to confirm a world defined by time and space is real, which in return seems to prove the self is a substantial being in a tangible world. In other words, what and where you believe in being is the brain’s fantasy. But since there is nothing real to confirm the brain’s existence, nothing is making the fantasy of you as someone in a world defined by time and space – just like nobody is making a dream and nobody is in it.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The special self manipulates others into admiring it to escape its self-hatred. When not succeeding, the special self considers letting go of something to reestablishes it as the one in control.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The special self needs to convince at least one person about how crucial it is, which it achieves by smothering someone with the kind of attention it senses, that is required to make that person feel chosen. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

The special self needs to be part of something important, not to feel alone. So it checks all notifications on Facebook and makes sure to like what its friends write so that it will like it and be liked by them, and they are confirmed to be together in a group of extraordinary people. Of course, it only works if you believe there is something in cyberspace.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

You cannot escape the hell of the self-discipline required to uphold the perception of being special if you are afraid of losing something, which you are, as long as you believe to be and have something special.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

If you justify your unpleasant emotions with something judged as flawed in the world, your bothersome feelings are buried in a mental drama of fairness. For example, when you feel angry, it is obscured by the sad story you keep telling to establish you are unfairly treated by the world. Hence feeling angry has been removed from your awareness and replaced by a mental concept of being mistreated. This spin also hides that you fear the world will get back at you for blaming it for your negative emotions.

But this is too shameful to admit. So to save face when you feel attacked by the world, you repeat the story of being unfairly treated to prove you are innocent. However, to uphold your innocence, you must continuously suppress feeling selfish, greed, anger and envy. You do this by pointing out those attributes in others so they feel ashamed. You are very good at that, and your friends know it. Nevertheless, they do not expose you because they also look for someone to attack, so they feel off the hook. That is why they recognise it in you.

To hide that you and like-minded ones hate everybody, you meet in special groups where you hug and share in a collectively agreed way of being together. Yet, it is not feelings of love that connect them, but the wish to hide they hate each other. Naturally, nobody wants to acknowledge this, least of all do they want to talk about it in the group because if you do not censor yourself to speak and act within the language established as love by the group, or its mentor, you are expelled. And then you have nowhere to go to find relief from your despair.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

To prevent the image of the special self from cracking, it is crucial not to feel one’s emotions. Therefore, since the special self suppresses them, it becomes so numb that it cannot feel anything. So instead, it invents stories about feelings that fit its self-perception. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Should you have conditioned yourself to feel relaxed when you hear a specific kind of music, you find yourself in a story where you know you are supposed to feel relaxed every time you hear this music. In other words, what you believe in feeling is a product of your story. And as most of what you believe in feeling rests on stories, you are hardly ever in touch with your emotions but with how you have conditioned yourself to respond to something. That suits the special self very well. It does not want to experience genuine feelings but how it is supposed to feel them when being what it imagines.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The special self likes to meet new people. However, not to get to know them but to answer their questions. That is a perfect opportunity to re-edit the story it has fabricated about itself to appear exciting.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

In the past, the special self made a hateful story for perceiving the present, so it seems to confirm its past judgment of others as evil. And since the past, therefore, appears to repeat itself, the special self can rest assured in its perception of itself as good and others as bad.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The English language suits the special self because it is built upon the ‘I’ as primary and others as secondary. So you do not talk with others but to them. And when you speak about friends and yourself, you always start by mentioning yourself.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

It takes time and effort to invent a spiritual self from which selected experiences are eliminated or changed to appear absent of power strivings, selfishness, greed, anger, negative thoughts or whatever you assume to be politically incorrect. It feels restricting, whereas you feel free when not altering or rejecting something in your perception to shape your image into something specific.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Nobody is unjustly treated in the brain’s script. It is all about being entertained by duality, which you are when perceiving your reaction to your experiences as it is what it isbecause that reveals your response is twofold. And since you are in a world of duality, that makes you feel complete

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The special self likes to hide that it is lonely by having others depend upon it. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

What and where you appear to be in a computer game is designed by the game’s creator. You do not have the power to change that. But you can perceive it in sync with the plot or not. The latter is frustrating, and the former entertaining. The same applies to the tangible world, where you appear to be someone substantial. What and where you seem to be is made up of the brain. It cannot be changed – only your interpretation of it.

If that is in sync with the brain’s script, you feel entertained by the idea of being someone substantial in a tangible world, which is like going up and down on a rollercoaster. You scream of fear when going down and shout of joy when going up. One leads to the other. It is like two sides of a coin because everything comes in pairs in the brain’s script of duality.

However, the special self does not accept the interaction of opposites. On the contrary, its fundamental instinct is to keep them separated to divide the world into good and bad. In contrast, the basic self does not separate opposites, so it feels vitalised by their interaction, whereas the special self feels weakened by their separation.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The collaboration of the opposing sides in the duality pairs making up the world of duality is vitalising. But since the special self excludes the apparently dark side of the duality pairs in its perception of itself, duality does not seem stimulating but depressing. However, the special self fears that if it includes the darkness it has excluded, it will be devoured by it. Thus it prefers to keep spitting the duality pairs in distinct elements to keep the darkness away by looking positive.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Since feelings tend to mess up the perception that the special self has made of itself as an independent and unique being, it wants to keep them at a distance. But as this collides with its need to show off as an open person, it lays the blame for fencing off its feelings on others, which it criticises for being closed, thus making it impossible for the special self to express its feelings.

Although the real reason for not expressing its feelings is that the special self does not know them, it shows off as an expert on emotions who is able to help others open up to themselves. However, what the special self claims to see are its own suppressed feelings (read more about that here).

On the other hand, the basic self has no special image to protect, thus, no feelings to hide.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Undoing the belief in being someone special is like stepping into the unknown. And since life cannot be known, you find it there. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

The special self needs constant approval from others to feel alive. To get that, it often establishes a family, which it can manipulate into giving it the confirmation it needs. If that does not work as intended, the special self may pay a psychologist to ratify its uniqueness. But it does not realise how dependent it is on those supporting its perception of being independent.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The special self enjoys talking about feelings speculatively, »like do I really love this person?« But it does not love anybody because to uphold its perception of being in control, it avoids feelings of intimacy by being with people looking for a higher state of mind.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Every experience is make-believe – just like in a role-play. However, following the instructions of the game master is part of the fun. Likewise, believing to be someone in a world defined by time and space is quite entertaining when you do not try to add or subtract something from the instructions you get from the brain.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

You can compare the basic self to a cat. It does not plan to do Pilates at a specific hour but, naturally, stretches out when its biological system tells it to do it. Nor does it attend special seminars to learn who it is or how to be transformed into something else. There is no desire to be anything but a cat.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

If somebody triggers an old feeling of rejection in the special self, it first interprets it as an attack. Next, it justifies feeling rejected by the attack. Therefore, since feeling rejected seems to originate in the attacker, the special self concludes it does not come from itself. If the perceived attacker exposes this self-deception, the special self points out something from the past to make the attacker feel rejected. Hence the special self is off the hook and can rest assured that it is loved and the attacker is not.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Fear does not prevent you from going on when in sync with the unedited flow of thoughts. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

The happiness that comes from being in sync with the brain can be compared to the joy you feel when singing along with a song you like. Not being in sync can be compared to feeling disturbed by the same music because you want to concentrate on something you perceive as better.

That said, it may seem frightening to be in sync with the brain’s script, but since you do not feel alone, fear does not prevent you from going on.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

You do not appear in a physical world to learn something. Everything you encounter is made from empty space. The only purpose of your experiences, including those interpreted as spiritual, is to feel entertained by nothing disguised as something. Read more about that here.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

It is the counterpart of a feeling that defines it. For example, hate defines love. Consequently, you must sense your hatred to feel love. But since the special self excludes the unpleasant part of a duality pair, it has no hatred to define feeling in love. Therefore, since it does not know what love is, it reckons it feels love when it meets somebody whose psyche or body complies with its ideas of perfection.

Fortunately, this mistake is easily corrected by perceiving the assumed feeling of love as ‘it is what it is.’ That reveals love is coupled with hate and constantly interacting to define each other. Going with this twofoldness, you have a genuine feeling of love regardless of expectations being met.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The brain can be compared to Spotify in the sense that it has many playlists to choose from. But no matter which playlist you decide to stream, it will not bring happiness unless you are in sync with it.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Feeling stressed by the brain’s stream of thoughts and trying to get peace through meditation does not work. But acknowledging the stress so it can be perceived as ‘it is what it is.’

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The flow of thoughts only seems speedy and confusing when you want to be independent of it.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

There is nothing spontaneous about the basic self – like a violinist is in sync with the notes of the classical composition played, the basic self is in sync with the brain’s script. Neither the violinist nor the self has room for improvisation or regret because everything is already set.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Should you wonder if you are in sync with the brain’s libretto, you are out of sync because you have no doubts when in sync.

NOTE: This article is part of hack #4.1 The basic self versus the special one.

The basic self cannot be changed, but it can be perceived as special [draft]

Updated December 14, 2022

The multiplication of thoughts required to construct an image of you as an independent entails stress, thus, a tired body. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

THE BASIC AND SPECIAL SELF PLUS THE ROGUE CONSCIOUSNESS:
You are effortlessly synced with the basic self when not suppressing feelings by holding back the breath or altering its natural rhythm via yoga, for example. And since very few thoughts are required to maintain this synchronisation, they do not seem disturbing but encouraging.

That is, until the consciousness, the brain has installed in the basic self to be aware of itself, decides it knows better than its maker, and plots to change the basic self into a special one. However, shaping and maintaining a special self requires a more complicated construction of thoughts than the simple one accumulated by the brain to create and uphold the basic self.

Therefore, the rogue consciousness perceives one of the brain’s experiences so scary that fear makes you hold your breath long enough for thoughts to be imprisoned in the gap, from where they force their way out by multiplying themselves. Then, having escaped, they continue their frantic multiplication, which pleases the rogue consciousness because it needs lots of thoughts to make a special self come into being, appearing free from the brain.

But in a world of duality, all thoughts come in pairs of opposing elements to define each other, for example, right and wrong. Therefore, since you cannot have one without the other, you are never solely right or wrong but a bit of both. However, the rogue consciousness does not want the elements in the duality pairs to collaborate because it wants to set up a self that is solely good with no traces of evil.

To disconnect the opposing sides in the duality pairs into distinct elements, the rogue consciousness first imagines a judge determining which emotions are specifically good and evil. Then, an executioner punishes the bad ones by excluding them from the new self, so it looks uniquely good and has that feeling of being special.

When not interfering with the few thoughts, the brain keeps circulating for you to have a continuous experience of being a basic self, it feels entertaining being someone. But it feels frustrating if you make a perception of the basic self that twists it into a more special self. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

But when good and evil are separated, they cannot define each other, as they do when collaborating as a duality pair. Thus you do not get a genuine but conceptualised experience of good and evil. Nevertheless, that suits the rogue consciousness fine because, with emotions cut off, the special self can mentally decide what good and evil feel like, thus being the master.

However, it is hard to constantly suppress genuine feelings to experience good and bad in a thought-up way – or twist experiences into a collectively agreed concept of having a good time. Besides, the suppressed emotions mess up the natural flow of the breath, thus the stream of thoughts used to keep the body healthy, wherefore the body seems inflicted with psychosomatic illnesses. So although the special self probably appears as good as planned, it does not genuinely feel good.

On the other hand, the basic self feels as good as bad because it does not break up the duality but goes with the interaction of their opposing elements. That does not mean that the basic self is perfect, but it feels complete in the duality flow regardless of appearance. Read about that in hack #4.4 The duality flow goes to non-duality.

In a world where there seems to be more than one, you must always choose something to uphold the illusion of separation. Therefore, not choosing anything, the illusion falls apart. That might be easier to do if you stick to being the basic self because it houses so much happiness that, sooner or later, you forget to choose. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

THE WORLD IS A CONSTRUCTION OF FRAGMENTED THOUGHTS
You can compare the formlessness of oneness to having just one thought, which is pure peace. But the harmony is over when that thought is divided into two thoughts: one that looks like a Person, land another one that looks the World. To uphold the illusion of more than one, the division goes on.

The thought called the World is divided into black-and-white aspects. And the thought called a Person is divided into a Judge and an Executioner. Thus the World causes a Person to have black or white experiences. Then a Judge deduces which ones are right and wrong, and the Executioner punishes the World for the wrong ones.

When that is carried out, the Person feels good because it is off the hook. Someone else is guilty of the mess that separation seems to entail. Read more about projections here. But since this arrangement sets other divisions in motion, the relief is short-lived. So, again and again, the interaction of Person, WorldJudge and Executioner is used to make someone else look bad and yourself good.

But since oneness is formless, it cannot be divided into more than one, except in fantasy. Thus the communication between the different elements of right and wrong is an internal dialogue in one Person. However, the Person projects parts of the fiction onto something perceived as outside of the Person. For example, what feels wrong inside the World of a Person is projected onto something perceived as evil in the World outside a Person, such as immigrants, the deep state or communists. The Judge may be projected on a god, parent, boss, or lover. And perhaps society is seen as the Executioner.

That said, it is impossible to fantasise about something specific because oneness is formless. Besides, since that means oneness is endless, there is nothing but that which is One. Therefore, the above explanation is as fictitious as anything involving more than one. However, in the context of the belief that there is more than one, Alexius makes up stories that may help you realise they are as fake as everything else experienced because it takes more than one to be aware of something.

With that in mind, we go on with the brain’s fantasy of you as someone in a world of duality:

The special self keeps returning to Facebook or similar media, where messages and likes confirm its specialness. But, if not continually established as unique, it starts doubting itself. Hence it loses its sense of control, which it fears more than anything else. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

BEING IN SYNC WITH DUALITY OR NOT:
What you believe in being is a construction of thoughts compiled by the brain into pairs of contrasting elements, such as happiness and sadness, to define each other. When in sync with the ongoing interaction of opposites in a duality pair, you do not want to separate them because the interaction makes you feel complete.

But you are not in sync with duality if negative thoughts are judged as wrong, thus excluded from the perception of yourself to appear solely positive. Without the awareness of negativity in yourself, there is nothing to define your positivity. Hence, nothing turns you on.

Being out of sync with duality occurs when the consciousness that the brain has installed in the self goes rogue and makes a special perception of your present experience where the elements in the duality pairs do not collaborate to define each other. Instead, they are separated into individual aspects, so you can decide to only feel love for someone and hate for another, for example.

However, since love is not defined by hatred anymore, you do not genuinely feel love. Instead, you cling to a thought-up version of it. The same applies to hate. And since you believe your single-minded notions are real, you clash with the world because it consists of duality pairs.

Fortunately, you can correct that by going with the interaction of love and hate. You do this by perceiving your single-minded idea of either love or hate as ‘it is what it is’ because this reveals love is in hate and vice versa (read more about that in hack #4.2 The brain’s script and how to perceive it to feel happy. But instead of accepting that, you probably accuse the brain of ruining love. However, since you are a product of the brain (read more about that here), your disapproval is a condemnation of yourself.

When the brain wants you to run, it uses the biological system to signal the body. It starts running regardless you are a basic or special self. The basic self, as always, feels entertained by following the brain’s commands. But the special self loathes the brain and its simple ideas of entertainment and thinks it knows better, even though it does not know who it is. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

TEMPTED TO BE SPECIAL:
When the consciousness of the basic self goes rogue, it responds like a spell checker to the calm stream of thoughts coming from the brain. It automatically interprets it so the self, which initially was made and administered by the brain, seems self-made, thus independent of the brain.

But since the rogue consciousness interpretations of the stream of thoughts are single-minded, thus out of sync with duality, the stream runs wild with ideas for getting more.

At first, this turbulence seems scary to the basic self, but the rogue consciousness convinces it that it is for the best because now you have endless possibilities. Besides, it promises that by being special, you are independent of the brain, thus able to arrange everything your way. That often convinces the basic self to trust the rogue consciousness’ corrections. However, it does not tell that you must spend many years in school learning to label its modifications to be unique in predefined ways.

Both the basic and the special self is a construction of thoughts. But whereas the basic self is simple, the special self is a complicated construction made to sow discord by insisting on being better. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

In other words, appearing independent and special is complicated and exhausting, whereas being basic is uncomplicated and vitalising. Therefore, if you want to have a good time while appearing as someone in a world of duality, use one or more of Alexius’ Duality Hacks to enter a state of not-knowing. It wipes the slate clean of all misperceptions, thus restoring the basic self. Since it is relative to the brain, it is in sync with its experiences as they are and not as they could be if you were a special self following a specific philosophy. See, The basic self is relative to the brain, thus without an egoistic intention.

In other words, as the basic self, you have fun going with the duality flow, contrary to the special self, which is imprisoned by specific concepts like being positive. That said, once established as a special self, you probably keep going back and forth between being special and basic until you do not need to feel something specific but settle for the fullness of twofoldness.

NOTES:

‘The Enlightenment of that which is one’ cannot be seen

Updated February 2, 2023

The eye cannot see this pic. It is registered as light divided into red, green and blue by three taps in the eye. This info is sent to the brain, where the same organ process both so-called reality and imagined or virtual reality The three colors are mixed in such a way, that it appears to be an image of someting solid in the world, that can be defined by time and space, even though almost 99% of matter consists of empty space.

Since it requires more than one to understand something, you call off the Enlightenment of that which is One if you try to process it. And since it also takes more than one to get a second chance, this is out of the question. But, since oneness is formless, thus endless, you have never left it. Therefore it is only the belief in separation that needs to be undone. Fortunately, the Enlightenment of that which is One does that immediately. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

The Enlightenment of that which is One cannot be known because it takes more than one to be aware of something. However, having been in a spiral of colours exploding into a bright white light, opaque and formless, one may vaguely remember that it abruptly extracted the memories of being someone and left them at the threshold of a black hole,* whereafter nothing gracefully fell through a neverending void into that which is one.

From the above, you may get the impression that the Enlightenment of that which is One is a process over time. But it happens simultaneously, or rather, it does not occur because it requires more than one for something to happen. That is why, when returning to a world where there seems to be more than one, it may take a long time to grasp you are to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One.

The reason for that could also be that the Enlightenment of that which is One has nothing to do with the merry-go-round stories made from speculations bout awakening and transcending, levels of consciousness, and second-hand knowledge about mystical experiences.

But that all requires more than One, thus something in a world where there seems to be more than one and not the Enlightenment of that which is One.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings offers no hope because that depends on time, an illusion.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

There is no way to the Enlightenment of that which is One. Going there is a way of uncertainty, one beat at a time until you go nowhere.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The Enlightenment of that which is One is not a way back to oneness because you have never left it. That is why nothing goes back through a black hole into the formlessness of oneness. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

To get a sense of the Enlightenment of that which is One, you must empty yourself for all ideas about it. And then again, doing so will not help because it enhances the belief that you are someone definitive. And believing that is what hides the Enlightenment of that which is One. Therefore, do not try to implement Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings in your way of seeing things, but use it to undo your belief system.

The Enlightenment of that which is One can be compared to a door into oneness. But just like a door in a building has nothing to do with the house, the Enlightenment of that which is One is not oneness. It has no doors because it requires more than one to have something. Nor is there a door in a world where there seems to be more than one, as there is no more than that which is One.

No worries. That which is you is not in a world where there seems to be more than one. Just like – in the context of such a world – you are not in the world of a computer game, even though it may feel so because of the reactions to the game. These reactions, however, are not caused by the world in the game – it has no such power – but by how you choose to perceive it. In other words, the experience of being someone in a virtual world is fabricated by yourself.

Likewise, the experience of being someone in a world where there seems to be more than one. And then again, this is not entirely so. That which is you is not imagining being in a world where there seems to be more than one because it takes more than one to be somewhere, and that which is you is not anywhere but in the formlessness of oneness.

Nevertheless, you experience being someone in a world where there seems to be more than one for some unexplainable reason. So, in the context of this experience, the Enlightenment of that which is One tour way out of it because it undoes all experiences.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

When the sun is shining sharp and bright, it reveals the state of a window. However, it is the opposite of the Enlightenment of that which is One. Although its light is more brilliant than thousands of suns, it reveals nothing. There is not something to see and no need to see anything. Not because the light fulfils you but because it undoes the belief in being someone. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Believing that your experience of being someone in a tangible world is genuine can be compared to watching a movie in a cinema. You project yourself onto the simulated world on the screen. Hence the reactions to your projections seem to come from the fabricated world, not you, so you believe the world you see is genuine.

The Enlightenment of that which is One is to be compared to a sudden crack in the roll of the film with the world you project yourself onto. Therefore, since the world is replaced by a bright white light, there is nothing to project yourself upon.

In the context of this metaphor, what is real is not the bright white light but the source projecting it, namely the movie projector. It is neither in the simulated world on the screen nor the bright white light, although it is the power making it possible for something to appear on the screen.

However, since this metaphor is part of the movie called The World, it is, of course, as fictitious as everything else in that movie. But since there is nothing unreal, there is no movie, thus nobody is watching it. So the movie metaphor is just a way to explain what cannot be described. If it could, the film would be real, and somebody would be in it.

That is why so many want to know how the world was created and why they are there. If it can be explained, they can rest assured they are real. However, in reality, there is nothing to explain because there is no more than that which is One, and it takes more than one to explain something.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

A person cannot welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One. But a person can momentarily forget what and where it appears to be so that there is not something definable to hide the Enlightenment of that which is One. But if a person just partly forgets what and where it appears to be, it gets glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Meditation may result in the experience of something you interpret as infinity, purity, divinity or unity. But you will not experience the Enlightenment of that which is One by meditating or doing something similar. It cannot be brought about because that takes more than one.

Even if you could cause the Enlightenment of that which is One, you would probably hold back. Perceived from a world where there seems to be more than, oneness is incredibly dull. There is nothing to see or feel or look forward to. Therefore, it is not very appealing compared to the excitement you get in a world where there seems to be more than one from falling in love, having sex or whatnot. However, it has a prize, a constant feeling of failure because no matter how much more you seem to become or have, you are bound to lose it.

But suppose this makes you so depressed that you lose interest in achieving more. In that case, you pay no attention to having the belief in being someone undone by a highly bright light, wherefore nobody gently falls into the formlessness of oneness.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The purpose of feelings is to make you feel more than that which is one, although it is formless, thus endless, wherefore there is no more than One.

In other words, feeling something is an illusion. The same applies to experiencing something. That is why the Enlightenment of that which is One neither can be felt nor experienced.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The Enlightenment of that which is One does not change anything – except that you know everything experienced is fake, including god, love, ego, and whatnot. When you know that, you are free to step on it and play the game of being someone in a world where there seems to be more than one.

The easiest way to play the game is to pretend to be there because where you pretend to be, you are not. Thus, you have fun appearing to be what you are not. Read about that in hack #1.3 Pretending to be someone definitive is liberation.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

There seems to be separate appearances to be defined by time and space in the dream called The World. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

If you believe in seeing separated appearances defined by time and space, you see what you think you are, someone specific separated from others. In other words, you believe that it is possible to be and have more than that which is One, thus fencing off the formlessness of oneness.  Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

The Enlightenment of that which is One is a moment that starts with the experience of something. Yet, at the exact moment, the experience is over. You are not transcended nor awakened to a new awareness. On the contrary, there is no consciousness of you ever having been someone. There is just one light, sound, feeling or taste – so intense that there is nothing to see, hear, feel or taste and nothing to be.

The four aspects of the Enlightenment of that which is One do not mix, so you get the one you know the most from believing to be someone in a world where there seems to be more than one. Since that, for most people, is the sense of seeing something, we continue with the visual aspect of the Enlightenment of that which is One. Its light sucks what it has stripped free of the belief in something through a black hole into the formlessness of oneness. That is, if you do not deem that as a journey through something. In that case, you are back in the world of something.

Therefore, those who talk about exciting experiences of Enlightenment have not, as nothing, been sucked through a black hole into the formlessness of oneness. They held onto their belief in something to fence off the Enlightenment of that which is One and instead had glimpses of it as something you see, hear, feel or taste. But since it requires more than one to experience something, the glimpses are not the Enlightenment of that which is One.

For someone who is fed up with the experience of something, it is frustrating only to have glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One. But for those who love to experience something, it is perfect because the glimpses can be used to pump up their image by lecturing or writing books about the experience of a vast space full of pure love, consciousness, bliss, or something else that makes them appear to have something better than others. However, having something has nothing to do with the Enlightenment of that which is One because it takes more than one to have something.

It is very beautiful with the light of the sun coming through the clouds, but it has nothing to do with enlightenment. It is just another sight in the world, that is just as virtual as the so-called egoless states the gurus and their followers are dreaming about.

It is stunning with the light of the sun coming through the clouds, but it has nothing to do with Enlightenment. It is just another sight produced via the outward-facing senses to make you so excited that it seems real, although it is make-believe. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

The visual aspect of the Enlightenment of that which is One can be compared to closing all apps on a computer, including the one simulating the desktop. Without the appearance of a desktop, there is nothing to hide the light used to emulate something on the screen.

The aspect of Enlightenment of that which is One that Aum, Sohang or The Word of God symbolise can be compared to the humming from the fan or the engine in a computer. You can hear this vibration all the time – especially if you do not look at the screen or listen to the sounds of the world simulated by the computer.

Though the light behind the desktop and the distant humming are the means for fabricating a simulated reality on the computer screen, they are not part of it, so if you want to see or hear what is powering the world that appears on the screen, you must do what is needed to empty it. That is a metaphor to say that you must undo your experience of something, so they do not seem to hide oneness is not somewhere specific but everywhere since it is formless, thus endless.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The Enlightenment of that which is One is neither inside nor outside because that requires more than one. Since that also applies to experiencing something, seeing the Enlightenment of that which is One is not real but a simulation. But since everything in a world where there seems to be more than one also is fictitious, having simulated glimpses of Enlightenment, although very airy, is less frightening than the total undoing of more than one in the Enlightenment of that which is One. Read about glimpses of Enlightenment in hack #6.3 The inward-facing senses, Enlightenment and its glimpses.

*) It may not be part of the Enlightened memories that the data of being someone is left at the threshold of a black hole. Perhaps it is a conclusion made in retrospect.

The ins and outs of a black hole

Updated January 23, 2023

The endings of an uncompleted black hole literally look like zen brush strokes. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

This zen drawing literally looks like an uncompleted portal of the Enlightenment of that which is One, except that the hole is neither white nor black, although it is often called a black hole. You cannot see it in this illustration, but the hole is full of the same chaotically and rapidly moving strokes of changing colours rapidly moving outside the black strokes. That is until the black strokes meet, and the bright white light that shoots out of the hole fills up everything, extracting all thoughts, making up what you believe to be and see so that there is nobody to experience gracefully being pulled through a hole that like the bright white light is no more. Thus nothing seems to hide that which always was and will be since it is formless, thus endless, namely that which is One. For the same reason, there is nobody to know that the Enlightenment of that which is One is not a process over time but one perpetual present, nor that what and where you believed in being never existed. You never left oneness. The graphic, which Alexius has manipulated, is grabbed from the web.

The Enlightenment of that which is One is like a vacuum cleaner that sucks out all the thoughts making the experience of being someone definitive. Hence there is nobody left to detect that the inner edges of what at first may look like a Zen circle open up, and the nothingness of you falls through the hole into that which is One. That is described as it happens in a world defined by time and space. But since that is not the case, there is no hole, thus neither nothing nor something on the other side. Instead, there is that which is One. However, it is formless, thus endless, so there are no sides. Nevertheless, we go on within the concepts of a world defined by time and space.

Even though it is often called a black hole, it is not necessarily black or white as in the image shown here, but probably full of the same rapid-changing lucid colours surrounding the stroke, which is more greyish than in this image.

The line surrounding the hole is not made by one but two strokes. They are drawn simultaneously, quickly and smoothly from the top without a brush. The look is similar to the image at the top, which you may see as a zen circle. However, if you do that, you are back in a world defined by time and space because the Enlightenment of that which is One cannot be described.

In other words, even though the Enlightenment of that which is One was about to strip you from everything definable so nobody would encounter a timeless journey with no distance to the formlessness of oneness, you chose to define something as recognisable. Hence you prevented being in free fall, moving so fast that nothing seems to move through a black hole, no longer a hole but colourless light with no substance and so bright that there is nothing to see but that which cannot be seen, namely that which is One.

Consequently, the beginning of the black hole you saw before returning to a world defined by time and space was not the Enlightenment of that which is One but a glimpse of it. Read more about those glimpses in hack #6.2 The inward and outward-facing senses, the Enlightenment and its glimpses.

If you in anyway try to define anything in the enlightenment of that which is one, you fence it off, so it cannot extract your thoughts so you as nobody freely are falling through a black hole into that which is one. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

If you try to see something definable in the Enlightenment of that which is One, such as red colours, you are back in a world defined by time and space. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

Nevertheless, here is a description of the Enlightenment of that which is One. It cannot be experienced, so the description is solely based on the vague memories Alexius has of going where nobody can go. The memories may imply that the Enlightenment of that which is One is a sequence of events, but that is only because one perpetual present cannot be recalled in a world of linear time.

If you do not compare the two lines that hastily draw up a black hole with zen strokes or something else, the ends meet without you noticing. But you are taken by surprise by an explosion in the hole that makes a psychedelic light show outside and inside it, turning into nothing but one bright light, neither opaque nor transparent but so intense that it cannot be seen, nor can anything else because there is not anything to illuminate since it requires more than one, and there is no more than that which is One.

Thus it follows there is no light and no you to imagine a substantial world that once seemed to hide there never was or will be more than that which is One since it is formless, thus endless.

In a black hole, like in a dream, there is no sense of a physical world or ever having appeared as someone in such a world. Nor is there a sense of any other world or being someone. But there is a sense of floating weightlessly through an endless void with no sides and light even though it is neither big nor dark.

There is not only a sense of being nothing in a non-definable void but also that this has a sudden end – presumably because it takes more than that to sense this, wherefore it must end. Thus there is nobody to see what happens next. Fortunately, it is not necessary because nothing happens or has happened in oneness since that requires more than one. In other words, you have never left oneness, so nothing ends but the idea that there is more than one.

To forget what and where you appear to be is to welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Before the thoughts making up what you believe in being is absorbed by the exceptionally bright light that seems to explode in your face, you may sense that everything you believe in being will be abruptly terminated, so there is neither something nor nothing to fall through a black hole of antimatter into itself gracefully. If this is what you wish for, you better forget what you read so you do not use it to define the Enlightenment of that which is One, thus escaping it. Even better, if you forget what and where you believe in being, there is no belief hiding that which is you is no different from that which is One.

The enlightenment of that which is One is not for those who believe to come from the heart having direct experiences, or being full of compassion, because states like that depend on the belief that you are someone definitive and there is no room for something definable in the enlightenment of that which is One.

Should you, after reading this, feel that you have not gotten the ins and out of a black hole, you are lucky because there are no ins and out.

The graphic is grabbed from the web.

The form of a sonogram looks like the waves joining in making a black hole that, sometimes for just a moment, may remind you of an embryo. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

Since the portal to the Enlightenment of that which is One – the so-called black hole – is not definitive, it may start in other ways than in the above description. For example, Alexius has had glimpses of it like a sonogram – or rather, a wide range of the triangle-like shape in the image to the right arranged around an indefinable centre. They were spinning so fast that they seemed to join each until the speed made them disappear. Just before that, a glittering round white stroke popped up inside the edge of the black hole. Then one bright light, more powerful than thousands of atomic bombs, erupted out of the darkness and filled everything.

It takes more than one to be conscious of something, so oneness cannot be understood. But there is much to learn in a world where there seems to be more than one about how to appear there. However, it is not understandable, that you believe to be in such a world.

You think you have escaped that which is one through an black hole looking a bit like an embryo into a world where there seems to be more than one. But it is a fantasy. It is not possible. There is no black hole, because there is no more than that which is one. Consequently I can only show you a fantasy picture of the black hole, that is imagined to look a bit like an embryo or a horse head. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

You think you have escaped that which is One through a black hole into a world where there seems to be more than one. But it is a fantasy. There is no way to escape oneness because it is formless, thus endless. Consequently, this image of a black hole that may look like an embryo or a horse head is fake.

At other times ‘the black hole’ may look like the head of a horse (see the image in The ins and outs of the inward senses) or an embryo more developed than in the sonogram image (see the picture in Going back to the first moment of duality). Since there is no specific pattern to be deducted, do yourself a favour and forget about understanding the Enlightenment of that which is One.

CLARIFICATION OF TERMINATION:
Oneness is formless, thus endless, so there is no outside, and without that, no inside. In other words, since there is nothing other than that which is One, and it does not contain anything, being someone is an illusion. Consequently, the Enlightenment of that which is One terminates nothing but the belief that there is more than that which is one.

Forgetting the world of the senses

Updated January 28, 2023

The transmission from outer to inner senses is not gradually but very abrupt and it can seem frightening in the moment you sense the world, as you know it, is gonna be erased. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

There is no transmission from the world of the senses to the Enlightenment of that which is One. Thus you may feel scared when you sense that what you believe in being, without further warning, are about to be erased so that nothing passes through a gap that looks like a black hole where it is sucked into the formlessness of oneness. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Just like we have the outward-facing senses to see, hear, feel, smell and taste a tangible world, we have the inward-facing senses to see, hear, feel, smell and taste an abstract world. However, to use the inward-facing senses, the outward-facing ones must be more or less turned off. Read more about that here.

The world of the inward-facing senses refers to a world that is not experienced as outside of you, whereas the world of the outward-facing senses is experienced outside you. However, all experiences are make-believe.

If the inward-facing senses are intensely used, you have glimpses of  Enlightenment, while the outward-facing senses are in the background. When none of them is used, you are in the Enlightenment of that which is One. The first time this happened to Alexius, he had been driving a taxi for 15 hours and was so exhausted that he confused traffic lights for customers trying to hire a cab.

When he finally returned home from work, no energy was left to engage in the world of the senses. Hence the most known aspect of the Enlightenment of that which is One activated, namely the ability to ‘see’ light. However, it was not a light comparable to anything in the world of the inward or outward-fencing senses. This light burned away everything definable, so there was not someone definitive to hide there never was or will be more than the formlessness of oneness. Read more about this aspect of the Enlightenment of that which is One in the previous articles.

FOUR ASPECTS OF THE ENLIGHTENMENT OF THAT WHICH IS ONE
Since the world generally focuses on seeable effects, the visual aspect of the Enlightenment of that which is One is the most known. But the other facets also make you forget to focus on something definable, so you, as nobody, are drawn into the formlessness of oneness.

Whatever aspect of the Enlightenment you naturally are attracted depends on your preferences as someone definitive. However, it is not about seeing, hearing, feeling or tasting the Enlightenment of that which is One but being so devoted to one of these experiences that your guards are down, and the Enlightenment of that which is One can erase all memories of being someone, so nothing is united with oneness, which never was left because that requires more than one.

In deep sleep or great exhaustion, you do not perceive differences to make a difference, which is the invitation, the Enlightenment of that which is One waits for. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

THE AUDIO ASPECT OF THE ENLIGHTENMENT OF THAT WHICH IS ONE
Soon after, he had bid welcome the visual aspect of the Enlightenment of that which is One, ethereal harmonies sounding like bells, much crisper and softer than the mundane ones, came to him. As long as they can be heard as different sounds, they are glimpses of Enlightenment experienced via the inward-facing senses. But when they do not differ from each other, you are in the Enlightenment of that which is One, which is beyond the senses.

Regarding entering the visual aspect of the Enlightenment of that which is One, Alexius had no discomfort leaving the senses behind because he was too exhausted to notice it. The musical aspect of the Enlightenment of that which is One, he entered a deep sleep, where the concept of an ‘I’ is gone. Hence there was nobody to hold onto the world of the senses. Read more about the sound of Enlightenment here.

Always on the run from something to something better, so that you do not see, there is nothing better than that which is you since it is formless, thus endless. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

The desire to escape that which is One makes you hang onto the belief that you are someone in a world where there seems to be more than one. That is until you realise, it is yourself that you want to escape, because that which is you is no different from that which is One.

THE TASTE ASPECT OF THE ENLIGHTENMENT OF THAT WHICH IS ONE
The taste of oneness is like a flavour of milk and honey with a hint of liquorice or strawberry. Having samples of it was not without discomfort for Alexius. His body reacted like it was attacked and panicked by making vomit reflexes. But when he did not try to escape it, the panic turned out to be a lid on a jug of a smoothie-like texture that some scriptures call the nectar of life. In Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings, it is called the taste of oneness. Read more about the sweetness of oneness here.

Since the Enlightenment of that which is One cannot be experienced, the following regarding the taste of oneness should not be taken literally but metaphorically. When the transparent sweet flavour is defined as something familiar, it is a glimpse of Enlightenment. Hence something experienced with the inward-facing senses. But when it becomes an aroma without taste, it is beyond the world of the senses, thus in the Enlightenment of that which is One. However, it was not before Alexius had had this tasteless sweetness several times that he realised he must have bid welcome the taste of Enlightenment because memories started popping up of a shapeless taste.

The graphic is grabbed from the web.

In that which is One, you are not anything at all, not even the bubbling sense of oneness or the bliss of nothing. It is impossible to realise what oneness is because that requires more than one. However, it does not mean that which is you is finished. It never ends because it is no different from oneness which is formless, thus endless. It is only the belief in being someone substantial in a world where there seems to be more than one that ends. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

FORGETTING TO FEEL THE WORLD OF THE SENSES
The feeling aspect of the Enlightenment of that which is One did not come easy to Alexius. It took many years of discomfort, vomiting, being hospitalised and sometimes losing the ability to balance – to mention a few disturbing things he encountered, having glimpses of it. But, no worries, when Alexius much later updated this article, he had forgotten all about that.

However, he still remembers the breakthrough. One night, Alexius was in such deep sleep that he completely died from the world of the senses. Hence the Enlightenment of that which is One was bid welcome. However, not in a visual but emotional way. When he almost departed the world of the outward-fencing senses, there was a moment of discomfort from not sensing his body separated from the bed. But then, it was as if everything was his body, which was electric and full of tiny bubbles.

Next, when he departed the senses altogether, the feeling was shapeless, thus not tangible. Therefore, since nothing established Alexius as somebody, there was nobody to experience the feeling of oneness. In other words, what you read is based on vague memories that Alexius has picked up from what feels very far away and right here.

Unlike in a world defined by time and space, where there seem to be different events happening in time sequences, there was no time. Everything was happening simultaneously. It was and is one perpetual present of bubbles moving so fast that there only was One. But returning to a world defined by time and space, it seemed to be a sequence of events over a long time ago.

Alexius’ Enlightened Non Teachings discerns between the Enlightenment of that which is One and glimpses of it. The former cannot be experienced and the latter is an experience of Enlightenment comparable to watching a movie trailer, which means it is not the Enlightenment of that which is One but a sample of it.

We all know, the world presented to us in a set of virtual reality glasses is not real. Yet most have forgotten, that neither is the world presented to us by the senses. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

We all know that the world experienced in a set of virtual reality glasses is unreal. Yet that applies to everything experienced because it requires more than one to be aware of something, and there is no more than that which is One since it is formless, thus endless. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

THE ENLIGHTENMENT OF THAT WHICH IS ONE VERSUS GLIMPSES OF IT
The above is about how Alexius forgot the world of the senses, thus getting to four aspects of the Enlightenment of that which is One. However, that is something that occurs daily. Actually, the Enlightenment of that which is One is not an experience because it requires more than one to be aware of something. But you can experience glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One daily. For an in-depth explanation of glimpses, check out The four aspects of Enlightenment and how to sample them.

The more the outward-facing senses are turned off, the less their definable appearances prevent you from being in the abstract world of the inward-facing senses with glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One.

But the experience of this world full of lucid light, ethereal music, sweet nectar or transparent bubbles disappears if the outward-facing senses are entirely turned off, as that leaves nothing to define what you see in the world of the inward-facing senses. Hence there are no glimpses to experience nor somebody specific to experience them. Thus the Enlightenment of that which is One set in.

APPENDIX
When the body’s biological system does not function anymore, the world of the outward-facing senses cannot be experienced. But for almost half an hour, you remain in the world of the inward-facing senses,.

But since it is only in the world of the outward-facing senses, the belief in being someone specific can be upheld, nobody seems to die if you do not try to recreate the memories of being someone in the world of the outward-facing senses.

Consequently, you bid welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One after about half an hour. Read more about the process of dying here.

Gracefully falling into the formlessness of oneness

Updated January 14, 2023

Painting with reflections of light on my iPhone

Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings talks about two kinds of Enlightenment, namely, the Enlightenment of that which is One and glimpses of it. The latter can be experienced via the inward-facing senses when the outward ones are partly closed. On the other hand, the Enlightenment of that which is One requires both the inward and outward-facing closed, and it cannot be experienced as that calls more than One. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

ONE WHO IS TO BE COMPARED TO THE ENLIGHTENMENT OF THAT WHICH IS ONE
After a long, intense night of driving a taxi many years ago, Alexius forgot what and where he was, so he was sucked into the Enlightenment of that which is One. But since it requires more than one to be conscious of something, he has not experienced the Enlightenment of that which is One. However, his faint memories of light so powerful that nothing can be seen were triggered when he later read part of The New Testament and Bhagavad Gita.

The visual aspect of the Enlightenment of that which is One is literally light, so it is not symbolic when Jesus said: »When your eyes become single, your whole body will be full of light,« or when St. Paul said he was blinded by light daily, or Arjuna said to Krishna when he was initiated: »It is brighter than thousands of suns. I have become the destroyer of worlds …«

A dream can be compared to a simulated world meanwhile layered on top that which is real. As long as you believe the simulated world is real, it seems to cover that which is not simulated.

The translations of both The New Testament and Bhagavad Gita differ from translator to translator, and as the above quotes are from memory, they may not be the exact words in your addition. But it does not matter because regardless of how you speak about it, the Enlightenment of that which is One cannot be described. In other words, what is said about it in Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings should not be taken as the real thing, nor as pointers towards it because it requires more than one.

Imagine you want to describe an orange to somebody who has never seen or tasted an orange. For example, you say it has a colour like an orange sunset, is round like a ball, and tastes like sweetened water. But the person you have given this description will never discover what an orange is by drinking sweet water from a rounded cup at sunset.

You have to see and taste it yourself to know what it is. However, in the context of the Enlightenment of that which is One, you will never know what it is because a person cannot be Enlightened. You as a person are erased in the Enlightenment of that which is One. Thus there is nobody to experience it. That is why Alexius is not enlightened but to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One.

In the Enlightenment of that which is One, the world is gone – not because it has been destroyed, but because it was never there, except in fantasy. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

And it is also why he does not search for the meaning of life. He knows there is no more than that which is One, so there is no life in a world where it seems to be more than one. Besides, searching for something requires more than one, so whatever you think you realise is an illusion.

One who is to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One has nothing to regret because there is no belief in being an ‘I’ deciding what to do, so there is nobody to forgive, nor to protect and preserve. Hence the ‘I’ is a tool like the legs, hands and eyes that can be used to pretend you are someone definitive. See hack #1.3 Pretending to be someone definitive is liberation.

Alexius, for example, has pretended to be a child, teenager, taxi driver, monk, husband, daddy, adult, businessman, millionaire, designer, teacher, photographer and recently non-teacher. See more of his appearances in Alexius, The Man.

Regarding the Enlightenment of that which is One, it is best to forget everything you have ever heard or read about it – including what is said in Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings. Any idea of how it looks is wrong. It has no shape. Yet, if you look for something intangible, you still look for something. But if you do not believe to be someone definitive – or do not care about it – there does not seem to be something hiding that which cannot be seen, heard, felt or tasted.

If you fear the destructive powers of the world, you will probably fear the enlightenment of that which is one, as its light will destroy every definable feature of you just like that. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

If you fear the destructive powers of the world, you may also fear the Enlightenment of that which is One because it relentlessly extracts every definable feature of what you believe to be in a world where there seems to be more than one. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

THE FEAR OF ENLIGHTENMENT
When the cats living with Alexius are asleep, he cannot see what they are dreaming, but based on their sudden movements, sometimes, it looks like they have a nightmare. If that which is One could see the stress in those imagining being in a world where there seems to be more than one, it probably draws the same conclusion. But just like Alexius cannot see the dreams of his cats, neither can oneness see the imaginary world of those who believe in seeing more than One.

Even if oneness could sense this fantasy, it would not stop your imagination of something because oneness cannot be seen, and you may not be ready not to see anything. Thus oneness has made a powerful mechanism that extracts all experiences from those who welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One by not focusing on something.

Since there are four ways to sense a world where there seems to be more than one, there are also four ways to stop sensing it. In other words, there are four aspects of the Enlightenment of that which is One: light, sound, feeling and taste. However, this article is about the most common aspect, namely light. Read about the other in the following article.

The light is much more potent than anything in the dream. An atomic bomb is nothing compared to its strength. However, this light does not illuminate anything and is neither opaque nor transparent but so intense that it cannot be apprehended.

To bid welcome the enlightenment of that which is one all thoughts made to fabricate an image of you as something definable must be left at the edge of a black hole, so that there is nothing for the bright white light to suck through a black hole into that which is one. This will of course seems very frightening if you want to remain someone definable in a world, where there seems to be more than one, and if so chances are that you out of desperation will define the bright white light and/or the black hole as something, and so you are back in a definable world. If you leave all thoughts behind at the edge of the black hole and end up being no different from that which is one, you can pick up all the thoughts again – in linear time – within a few minutes and return as someone in a world, where there seems to be more than one.

The Enlightenment of that which One sucks out all thoughts making up the experience of being someone. Then it leaves them at the edge of a black gap, and the nothingness of you falls gracefully through it into the formlessness of oneness. That is terrifying if you want to uphold the belief in being someone definitive. No worries, you can retrieve the thought construction left at the edge of the black hole, which is done by comparing the black gap to something familiar, the typical image of a black hole, for example. That makes the Enlightenment of that which is One becomes definable, and as it is only possible in a definable world, you appear to be back as someone in a world defined by time and space. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

Without further notice, the light relentlessly and most powerfully wipe out every definable feature that makes up your identity in the fantasy of a world where there seems to be more than one. That is done so fast and efficiently that there is nobody to know you once were somebody, thus nobody to fear obliteration and the free-fall through a black gap in the light into the formlessness of oneness.

But if you have been used to upholding an image of yourself as good by projecting your shit onto others, you have a deep-rooted fear of retaliation. Thus you see the light as an avenger, you fight by shaping your despair so it seems powerful enough to smash the light into pieces. Hence you are back in the fantasy about a world where there seems to be more than one.

Since there is no more than that which is One, and it requires more than one to wake up, it is impossible. The same applies to reading this article and Alexius having written it. That which we are is not in a world where there seems to be more than one. One could say we are dreaming about it. However, this is a metaphor because, in reality, it takes more than one to dream about something.

That said, you cannot smash the light, and it does not destroy you because you do not exist. That is why nothing is terminated but the belief in being someone definitive, which is like undoing the belief in Santa Claus. It is not dangerous. In other words, there is nothing to fear when not caring about your image. Thus nothing to lose from being nobody in a free-fall through a black gap into the formlessness of oneness. Although this seems logical, we probably fight it several times before we get it emotionally and do not stop falling into the formlessness of oneness.

APPENDIX:
It may seem unclear if you have to be nobody to welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One or that it is something it takes care of.

Unfortunately, Alexius cannot clarify that. There is no transition from a world where there seems to be more than one to the Enlightenment of that which is One, so he does not know when it sets in. There are vague memories of chaos inside him just before it sets in. But there is no chaos, peace or anything else in the Enlightenment of that which is One, as that requires more than one. For the same reason, nothing is taken away but the illusion of more than one.

’The Enlightenment of that which is one’

Updated January 29, 2023

Why do the flowers sometimes blossom on the street outside Alexius’ home? The answer is simple. It is the season for that. Likewise, it seems to be the season for Alexius to write about bidding welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

PREFACE
Most books or lectures about The Enlightenment of that which is One are based on speculations of how to exclude something judged as darkness to becoming full of light. But to exclude is to separate, thus enhancing the belief in being someone definitive – and nothing definable can enter the Enlightenment of that which is One.

ONE PERPETUAL PRESENT
The Enlightenment of that which is One
does not result in spiritual understanding or connection with a higher being. On the contrary, it results in nothing because it takes more than one to cause something.

Since it also takes more than one to return to that which is One, it is impossible. However, since the same applies to breaking away, you have never left oneness. That is why it does not know that you believe to be someone in a world where there seems to be more than one.

The enlightenment of that which is one can be compared to taking a ride in a fairground carousel so fast, that the mind has to give up seeing any differences at all. Consequently it is not possible to remain as someone definitive and so there is therefore nobody to experience the enlightenment of that which is one. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

The Enlightenment of that which is One can be compared to taking a ride in a fairground carousel moving so fast that the brain gives up separating the trip into different appearances. Consequently, since there is no separation to establish you as someone definitive, there is nobody to experience being brought back to what was never left, namely the formlessness of oneness. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

The Enlightenment of that which is One undoes the belief in more than One. Metaphorically, it takes you on a ride in a fairground carousel, moving so fast that the brain gives up producing different images of the trip. Hence everything is fused into one bright light. However, the Enlightenment of that which is One is not a light that lightens up something. That calls for more than one, and so does being someone.

Therefore, since this experience is wiped out by the Enlightenment of that which is One, there is nobody left to experience bliss or anything else. So when Alexius talks about the Enlightenment of that which is One, it is not based on experience but on vague memories of something that cannot be experienced.

Reading his memories, you may get the impression that the Enlightenment of that which is One is a sequence of events happening in linear time. But everything ‘happens ‘simultaneously. However, that cannot be described in a world of linear time, nor that it is still ‘happening.’ Hence his description might be a mix of several ‘excursions’ from linear time into one perpetual present.

All info of someone definitive is extracted by either the light, sound, feeling or taste of the enlightenment of that which is one, so that there is nobody to be sucked through a black hole into the formlessness of that which is one, where there is neither chaos or order, as that would require more than one. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

All info of someone definitive is extracted by either the light, sound, feeling or taste of the enlightenment of that which is One. Thereafter the nothingness of you is sucked through a black gap into the formlessness of onenes. But most try to avoid loosing their identity by establishing the black gap as something known like a black hole. Thus they remain someone definitive and cannot be sucked through the gap that is too small for something to enter. Instead, they have glimpses the Enlightenment of that which is One on the way back to a world where there seems to be more than one. Unfortunately,  many mistakes those glimmses for being Enlightened. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

The enlightenment of that which is One is to be compared to the fusion of all lights, or sounds, or emotions, or tastes – depending on our preference as someone in a world where there seems to be more than one.

None of these fusions are the formlessness of that which is One. They are merely ways to hold you spellbound so you so you do not resist all the thoughts collected to fabricate your personality are extracted by the enlightenment of that which is One, whereafter nothing definable is sucked through a black hole into the formlessness of oneness.

This article is about the first time the belief in being someone definitive momentarily was undone for Alexius. The enlightenment of that which is One was bid welcome in its most known aspect, namely light. Much later the other aspects – sound, emotion and taste – was also bid welcome. But never mixed. It is impossible to mix something in the enlightenment of that which is One, as that requires more than one.

Alexius assumes it is not necessary to bid welcome all the aspects, but that one of them is sufficient in regard to completely forget the imagination of a world where there seems to be more than one.

TO WELCOME THE ENLIGHTENMENT OF THAT WHICH IS ONE
When Alexius was 22 years old, he welcomed the Enlightenment of that which is One after intensely having worked as a taxi driver for about 15 hours. Somehow the sum of the images from driving back and forth the streets continually looking for customers slowly turned into something less definable and more blurry. And when he came home early in the morning, Alexius had no energy to establish a focused image of himself in a world defined by time and space. Thus forgetting what and where he was, he was not aware of a transition to the spiralling show of psychedelic light that did not seem to come from anywhere and to suck him into nowhere.

Suddenly a black gap with no fixed location nor a fixed form, looking like a horse head or an embryo, popped out of the psychedelic light show. And then an utterly colourless light – brighter than the coloured light outside the black spot – started to form as a ring with no defined boundary inside the black gap’s edges, which apparently was a hole because colourless light exploded out of it.

The light absorbed everything. It was everywhere and yet nowhere. Without any mention, it knocked out the concept of Alexius being someone, somewhere, so nothing gracefully kept falling through the void into the formlessness of oneness. Alexius cannot recall it precisely because the thought construction shaping him was left outside the black hole, which was not black inside, nor a hole but a never-ending void of emptiness with the nothingness of him forever falling while swimming in a space that was not there – and then, in the exact moment of forever falling, it never happened specifically because everything co-occurred. In one perpetual present, he did not enter oneness because he never existed as someone separated from that which is One.

There is no more to add than oneness is not a big void of nothing filled with exotic ideas of unconditional love and whatnot. On the contrary, it is neither big nor small because it is formless, thus sizeless. And it is not filled with anything since that requires more than one. One more thing: leaving thoughts at the edge of a black hole may be a twisted memory. And, of course, it is a metaphor to say oneness is on the other side of a black hole because it is formless, thus without inside or outside.

Dunno if there is a spiral around the black hole of the enlightenment of that which is one, because being that close nothing seems to differ from each other. Yet for a moment so short, that it is not conceivable, a light inside the edge of the black hole so much brighter that the very bright light around it, suddenly explodes into a formless light that does not include Alexius but the formlessness of that which I am. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

Alexius seems to remember a spiral around a black hole in the Enlightenment of that which is One. However, he does not remember it exactly as in this image – maybe because everything was moving extremely fast or he was so close that nothing seemed to differ from each other. Yet for a moment, so short that it was not conceivable, white light inside the edge of the black hole – much brighter than the colourful light around it – exploded into a bright light that erased everything definable. That is why he cannot report what ‘happened’ after being sucked by formless light through a shapeless black hole into that which is One. Nor can he find an image on the web that can illustrate his vague memories. Fortunately, you can go there yourself by not establishing yourself as someone definitive who is somewhere specific. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

THE ENLIGHTENMENT OF THAT WHICH IS ONE IS INEXPLAINABLE
When Alexius welcomed the Enlightenment of that which is One, he was not aware of doing that. Actually, he had never heard about it or a black hole. Fortunately, he did not define anything because otherwise, he would have bounced back to a world defined by time and space. Thus the description of falling nowhere through a black gap into that which is One is made retrospectively.

Actually, it was not before much later, when he saw pictures of black holes in the universe, that he sensed how familiar they were. However, calling a black hole a path into oneness is a metaphor because there is neither an entrance nor an exit to that which is one. In other words, describing the Enlightenment of that which is One is impossible because even though so much goes on, nothing definable happens because it is one perpetual present.

To welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One, you do not have to drive a taxi all night or be in a ‘deep sleep’ as Buddha supposedly said. Whatever way you lose focus or stop defining and labelling will do regarding the Enlightenment of that which is One. However, concentrating and focusing on achieving something specific does not work because anything definable fends off the Enlightenment of that which is One.

NOTES:

Separation or not

Updated January 30, 2023

Defocus neutralise the apparent differences of the world so that the belief in separation cannot be upheld, thus not appearing to hide the formlessness of oneness. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

When you are not concentrated on achieving something imagined in the future, you are not focused. Therefore, since the apparent differences in the world make no difference, the belief in separation falls apart. Hence there is nobody to know what and where you are, thus not someone definitive to hide the formlessness of oneness.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Since reading a book requires much focus, you often feel paralysed, which enhances the belief in a world defined by time and space. On the other hand, television is more beneficial in undoing this belief because it does not require the same amount of focus.

The same applies to reading on digital media. After some hours of multitasking on the web, you probably are pretty spaced out, which is terrific regarding undoing the belief in a world defined by time and space.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Multitasking is a great help not to focus. Doing several things simultaneously, there is not much time to care about specifics, labelling your experiences or being result-minded. That said, sometimes circumstances require focus and a specific result.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Contrary to what you may have learned in meditation, concentration is not beneficial regarding not being blinded by the belief that there is more than that which is one, as oneness appears hidden by what you focus on.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Relating to a world defined by time and space implies that you believe it is real. This belief requires constant focus to maintain the apparent space between you and others, good and bad, day and night, and so on.

Fortunately, defocusing neutralises the differences, thus separation and the belief in time and space. For example, it disappears if you continue to look at something without focusing. Therefore there is no experience of time and space. In linear time, it requires 20 minutes, 45 at most, of constant defocus to undo the belief in time and space completely. Read more about that here. But if you think you have unfinished business in a world defined by time and space, you will not be able to defocus that long.

In that case, you are better off focusing on your problems so you can include them. When included, they cannot be focussed on, so the more you include, the more you are in the bliss of nothing.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

_IGP8362-Edit

By focusing a lot, the goat herd seems able to control his goats. But both the master and his followers are imprisoned by his concentration. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Since focusing leads to fixation, you feel stuck in a capsule of time and space. But you are not fixed in time and space if you defocus, thus, eventually, not seeing something definitive, thus being in the bliss of nothing. But of course, you focus if you have to pick up your kids from kindergarten.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Focusing enhances the impression of separation, thus feeling alone. On the other hand, since defocusing blurs out everything, the impression of separation falls apart, hence feeling whole.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

There is nobody in a world defined by time and space, so you cannot leave it if you believe in being there. However, you can have this belief undone. And since focusing is what keeps it together, defocusing undoes it.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

It is through defocusing the words in Alexius´ Enlightened Non-Teachings comes to him. Therefore, they hack your focus if you do not try to understand them.

That said, while undoing the belief in a world defined by time and space, you must operate within the rules of polarity, which regarding defocusing, means you alternate it with focusing. Just like Alexius, defocus when writing and focus when proofreading Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings.

Or you are non-focused when reading Alexius’ Duality Hacks and focused when implementing them in a world defined by time and space. However, being defocused does not mean that you read between the lines. So if you see something there, you focus on imagining it. In other words, to read in a defocused way is not to look for anything.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

A terrific way to contrast focus with defocussing is to see everything in a world defined by time and space as symbols of that which makes it possible to focus on something specific, namely the formlessness of oneness. Perceiving the world like that, everything definable is a symbol of that which cannot be defined. Therefore, since the apparent differences in the world do not make a difference, you are defocusing.

In this way, you can have your cake and eat it too. You get the excitement of appearing to be and/or have more than that which is one, while the belief that it is possible is being undone.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

If you focus on the contrasts of this image, you probably end up deducing something, thus concluding you are someone definitive looking at something understandable. But if you defocus, the contrasts disappear, so there is nothing to understand. When you do not understand anything, you do not know what and where you are, wherefore there is no knowledge to hide that which cannot be known, namely the formlessness of oneness. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

If Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings, seems to space you out, you are on the right track regarding undoing the belief in time and space. Yet, you are not on the right track if you space out on the way to pick up your kids from school because they require you to focus on differences so that you can be more than them and guide them on their journey in a world defined by time and space.

Spaced out is one side-effect of defocusing. Another one is clarity. When you are not focused on anything in particular, you do not have an ongoing internal discussion about what is right and wrong. Hence you instinctively do and say what is called for. Not because you know what to do or say, as that would require focus, but because you are in sync with the brain. See hack #4.2 The brain’s script and how to perceive it to feel happy.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

We exclude everything we believe does not fit the specific personality we want to establish as ours by projecting it onto somebody perceived as different from ourselves. Then others, as the bad ones, become a contrasting background for us as explicitly good. Therefore, since our perception of others shapes our explicit personality, we can see in them what we need to include to become flexible, thus not being imprisoned by a limited personality.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

To uphold the idea of linear time, you constantly move to exclude what you moved from, so there seems to be a past and a future.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

To be defined as spiritual, you exclude what is not considered pure from your awareness about yourself by projecting it onto others. However, being established as spiritual, you are bound to be bothered by those judged not as spiritual. On the other hand, when not defined as someone definitive, nobody is bothered by anything.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Trying to be centred is often a way to fence off what you judge as wrong so that it seems your experience of something is only good. But to experience goodness without its partner, badness, is to separate. Thus you feel lonely. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Since you can only send love to somebody if you believe in separation, and since that is the cause of suffering, that is what you send. Fortunately, nobody gets what you send. But unfortunately, you get it because what you give you feel immediately.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

It is best to acknowledge both the good and evil parts of one’s personality because they cancel out each other when they meet. Thus it is impossible to suffer from evil.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Much concentration is needed to appear as somebody, whereas being nobody requires no concentration.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Everything in a world of duality needs contrast to be experienced, light needs darkness and vice versa, for example. Consequently, you can only experience separation if you also – consciously or not – experience connection. And as the sum of two opposites always is a state of not-knowing (see, Inclusiveness is the bliss of nothing), that is what you get if you do not keep separation and connection apart. However, this state is not a sensation like falling in love but the bliss of nothing.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Someone in Spain recently had the heart replaced by the above heart made of plastic. In other words, a heart is not you, but solely a mechanic thing you have to pump the blood around. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

The heart is not you. That is why it is called your heart. It is a tool needed for pumping blood around the body to supply its cells with oxygen. In other words, coming from the heart merely means going with oxygen. Since this is purely mechanical, the heart can be replaced with plastic, as in the above image. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

Many people think you must come from the heart to be spiritual, which they manifest as part of something bigger by joining a group of like-minded ones.

Unfortunately, most of these groups of supposedly warm-hearted people only tolerate ways of expression endorsed by their guru, so if you do not follow the dress code, you are excluded. You will probably also be abandoned if you are well organised and do not mind planning because those who space out by hugging others in the group are scared by structure.

However, not making plans does not seem to be a problem for most who believe in coming from the heart. They need to be so unique and independent that it is impossible to commit to a plan, least of all to the conventional rules of society.

Those who believe in coming from the heart restrict themselves by their rules of freedom. However, since they hide their control by projecting it onto the world, they feel imprisoned by it. Hence they conclude they will be free when the world’s rules have been changed to suit their way.

The selfishness they hide behind talks about unity when they meet at their chaotic events, often advertised very confusingly because they think clarity and direction restrict the heart. They imagine that non-duality is anarchy, but it is neither that nor anything else because that requires more than one. However, they fool themselves into believing that they have escaped duality by coming from the heart.

Thus being unaware of their belief in duality, they cannot undo it. In other words, if you want to undo the belief in duality, do not try to escape it by following rosy ideas like coming from the heart, sending love and whatnot. Instead, include the brain’s duality experiences, such as horror and beauty. That cancels out the duality elements (see Without contrasts, there is nothing but non-duality), so there is no contrast to define a world of duality, wherefore, eventually, the belief in duality is over.

Inclusiveness is a journey without distance

Those gathering in groups of nationalism, capitalism, socialism or another ism manifests their specific group by excluding everything out of line with its principles.

First, they divide the world into right and wrong. Second, they eliminate everything judged wrong by projecting it onto other groups. Third, since the other groups are seen as evil, they start fighting them.

When the fight is over, the winning group claims to be the right one. »By doing the right thing, we have established we are the best,« they say. But they only seem to be better because they have projected the worst in themselves onto the losing groups.

Fortunately, Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings is not a new doctrine where you have to change or get rid of something to become better. It confirms separation, and Alexius’ Duality Hacks undo the belief that there is more than that which is One

A JOURNEY WITHOUT DISTANCE TO THAT WHICH IS ALL INCLUSIVE
When Henry Ford invented the automobile, he did not update but outperformed the old horse-driving carriage type of transportation.

Likewise, Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings is not an update of ancient meditation methods, added soothing sounds, shaman sticks and whatnot. Alexius’ Duality Hacks are built from scratch, founded on the haste of modern-day life, so you rapidly enter a state of not-knowing, undisturbed by the belief in separation. In contrast, meditation does not progress at all because it is based on excluding something, thus enhancing separation and the suffering it entails. Besides, life is all-inclusive, so exclusion is a denial of it.

hack #3.1 Inclusiveness sets you free from duality does not require you to sit in a specific position with eyes closed or be with special people in unique surroundings. Instead, you include whatever you experience wherever you are. You cannot go wrong, not even if you forget to be inclusive, because then you include your imperfection. Hence you are at full speed on a journey with no distance to that which is all-inclusive, namely, non-duality since it is formless, thus endless.

When the contrast of noise and silence has been cancelled out by completely including one side of this polarity, the apparent difference in a world of duality between noise and silence is not perceived to make a difference. Thus you are in a state of not knowing. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

INCLUSIVENESS CANCELS OUT SEPARATION
Being Inclusive starts by acknowledging separation because otherwise, there is nothing to include. For example, you focus on these black letters to separate them from the white background so that you can read the article.

Next, you include what you excluded. In the context of reading this article, you fully bring back the white background into your awareness. That makes it impossible to focus on the black letters, wherefore there is no article to read. In other words, by including the excluded, the two sides of a contrast cancel out each other. Therefore, since there is nothing specific to experience, thus nothing to make the experiencer definitive, the belief in separation falls apart.

You do not have to be aware of both sides in a particular contrast to include them because everything comes in pairs in a world of duality, like two sides of a coin. Therefore, if you include the side you know, the opposite side is automatically included. See also Inclusiveness is the bliss of nothing.

Another way to put it, nothing can be experienced without its contrast. Therefore, if you devote yourself so much to a problem that there is nothing but that, there is not something to define it. Consequently, there is no problem.

Inclusiveness is a bit like falling in love. Everybody looks lovely.

Although Alexius’ cat, Uma, is dead, their love affair continues because Alexius has included his experience of it. However, physically speaking, it is over because Uma has returned to the nothingness from where she seemed to arise. Therefore, since they are together in the bliss of nothing, Alexius and Uma walk a path without time and space into that which is One, accompanied by soundless meowing. Of course, Alexius and Uma are alone together, including everyone who appears as someone, because there is no separation in nothing. Read about that in hack #7.1 Alone together, we go home. INCLUSIVENESS IS LIFE FOREVER
Alexius had a cat, Uma, who died in his arms. Even though she was only eight months old, he felt they had been close together for years. So for a long time, he woke up crying. He tried to find relief in the memories of their time together, but when the images of Uma started to fade, he realised he was on the wrong track.

In Alexius’ memories, Uma seems definable, but she is not definable anymore. So instead of hanging onto the memories of specific images, he included them. Therefore, since they became boundless, the feeling of Uma was in everything. Hence there was no loss to mourn.

When he forgot that, his grieving only resulted in fleeting memories, making him feel broken. Hence he returned to the stable feeling of Uma in everything. He did that by not blocking the breath from going through the muscles involved in crying. Therefore, since the muscles softened instead of cramping up and making him cry,* they did not preserve his relation to Uma as something specific somewhere definitive.

However, when Uma is everywhere, she is also in Alexius’ memories. Thus he can enjoy the memories of his physical moments with Uma like he enjoys the ongoing non-physical experiences of her within him. That does not mean Alexius and Uma are at one. They never will be because oneness does not come about by adding more than one but by undoing the belief in more than one. Doing that, there is neither Uma, Alexius or anything else, but until then, Uma seems to be Alexius’ devotion to oneness. What that means, Alexius does not know. But that is good because it takes more than one to know something.

There is more about Alexius and Uma in You undo the belief in duality by enjoying it. In hack #4.3 The fake mix of physical and non-physical issues, you can read more about upholding a specific perception by holding your breath.

*) This is not to say that crying is wrong. But sometimes, it is better not to follow the flow of muscles leading to crying and instead fall into the flexibility of the muscles, thus feeling relaxed.

Excitement requires more than one, whereas peace is that which is One

Updated November 28, 2022

In reality, it is impossible to be excited about anything because it requires more than one, and there is no more than that which is One. For the same reason, there is nowhere to go and no one to meet. Therefore, if you want excitement, you must extend oneness. However, that is impossible because oneness is formless, thus endless. Nevertheless, it seems possible to imagine extending it.

hiWhen you imagine oneness extended into more than one, it appears as if you can meet another one.

wheeBut you want more. Thus you imagine an extension of neighbouring spaces, so the one-dimensional extension seems to become two-dimensional.

neatHowever, more want more, so you extend the two-dimensional extension with neighbouring extensions and call it a world.

4DA world where there seems to be more than one is based on the idea that something is missing in oneness. Hence the sense of lack runs through all experiences of more than one. Therefore, since you feel nothing in the world is good enough, you turn to transcendental meditation, drugs, and virtual computer worlds made with the help of AI (artificial intelligence) to simulate a better world within the simulation of a world where there seems to be more than one.

endBut, eventually, you realise that no matter how much more you get, it is never enough. Hence you conclude that more than one is an illusion.

returnNo worries. There is no illusion without reality. So if you perceive more than one as a symbol of that which is one, more does not make a difference.

peaceConsequently, you are not delighted by more but the peace of no more than that which is One.

Duality is a simulated reality on top of non-duality

Updated January 23, 2023

simulated_universe_1372282700_600x275

There is not anything real or unreal because non-duality is that which is One, and it takes more than one to be real or anything else. The image is grabbed from the movie The Thirteenth Floor.

A world of duality is a simulated reality layered on top of non-duality to hide there is no more than non-duality since it is formless, thus endless. However, an illusion cannot hide anything. Hence it is the belief that you are someone definitive in a world of duality that appears to conceal the formlessness of non-duality.

Eyes do not see. It is the brain, that fabricate the images, you believe to ‘see.’ Actually, the brain can produce perfect images of the world with your eyes closed. The brain cheats you. But it is only possible because you want it. Read more about that here.

The belief seems to establish duality as authentic when divided into real and unreal. But in an illusion, everything is artificial. The light from the sun and a bulb are equally fake, and a flower blossoming is not more genuine than a plastic flower. Whether love is perceived as pure, it is unreal, likewise loss, abundance, ego, mind, soul, consciousness, truth, god, angels, spiritual beings or astral planes. Not even non-duality is real because it is that which is One, and it takes more than one to be something.

Wavelengthsof lightcan be comparedto binary data, that is accumulatingthe simulation,of the webpage, you seem to seeon your screen now.Wavelengths haveno form, coloror depth of filed,as it seemsin this pic simulatingwavelengthsand binary data.

Wavelengths of light can be compared to the binary data, that accumulate the simulation of the webpage, you assume to see on your screen right now with words, seeming to form a meaning, and images with colours, that appear to reflect the world where you believe to be. But binary data or wavelengths do not have the form, colours or depth of field, that you believe to experience on this page. And they do not know, they are twisted in such a way, that you think there is a dimensional world with lots of different appearances in this image.

The colourful and dimensional world we believe to see now is an illusion because all wavelengths of light hitting our retina are colourless and formless, and the motion of the image we believe to see has been extrapolated by the brain, so that the time delay in processing the data does not interfere with the events we perceive to happen now.

You are not seeing, what you seem to see.It is an illusion.

What you believe to see is not there. It is a mirage fabricated by thoughts that also are unreal since reality is that which is One, and it takes more than one to have thoughts.

TO KNOW IS TO BELIEVE IN DUALITY
Even within the phoney reality of duality, this page you believe to see on electronic media is an illusion. It is not in your media. An app has translated HTML code on servers far from you into something recognisable. In other words, what you think you see here is layered on code far from you. If your web browser had not rewritten it, you would not see this article about simulated reality.

The digital photos you believe to see are layered on top of digital info that no human would perceive as an image of the world. A data converter has fabricated a layer on top of the digital information that the brain renders into a simulation of the world where you believe in being. However, Alexius is not that technically minded, so he cannot tell precisely how it works – nor how the world of duality seems to work as a layer on top of non-duality.

Actually, metaphorically speaking, you are closer to that which is real, namely, non-duality, if you do not understand how duality works because it does not work. How can it work when there is nothing but non-duality? It is impossible and thus not understandable.

The foolish one cannot separate good and bad or right from wrong. All is symbols of that which is life, and therefore all have the same cause – including you and him. So when he can see all is symbols of that which is life so can you, because life is that which you are a symbol of in the world.

The foolish one cannot separate right from wrong because everything definable is perceived as a symbol of non-duality. Hence their apparent difference makes no difference. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Wise one can separate good and bad
Foolish one does not separate

Wise one knows the way to self
Foolish one has no self to know

Wise one knows the truth
Foolish one knows nothing

Foolish one is enlightened
Wise one is not

NOT-KNOWING IS THE UNDOING OF DUALITY
Since non-duality is oneness, and it takes more than one to know something, it is impossible to know what and where you are. The acknowledgement of that sets you free from the belief in duality.

You do not need help from Alexius or anybody else not to know what and where you are. Nor can anybody help you regarding that because nobody knows what and where they are. However, some act as if they know not to look foolish but wise.

A world of duality consists of contrast. One of the main ones is right versus wrong. So if you cannot separate right from wrong, the belief in duality fades out.

It can be helpful to read Alexius’ Duality Hacks to stop being ashamed of feeling foolish and, like Alexius, go with not knowing what and where you are. You are not instructed to follow specific steps to improve yourself but guided to foolishly forget what and where you believe in being, thus undoing the belief in duality. This occurs when your appearance as someone definitive is perceived as …

What you believe in being can be compared to code looking at a world of code.

This image is a screen dump of the code for the beginning of this article.

APPENDIX
This is a previous screen dump of the source code behind the first part of this article. In the source code, you cannot see the header, the colours, photos or anything else you experience to see now. The code, which is nothing but letters and numbers added together sometime in the past, commands your browser to fabricate this page when you hit a link or write the name for its particular code. Hereafter, you experience this article without noticing that it is an artificial layer fabricated on top of code.

Thoughts can be compared to code that the brain translates into the experience of duality. However, that is like seeing a mirage. It looks real, but there is nothing there. In the below articles, you can find more detailed explanations of how a layer of duality is fabricated on top of non-duality. That said, none of the explanations is real because there is no duality:

NOTES:

All experiences are equally unreal

Updated November 20, 2022

The experience of seeing this pic is as all other experiences – including so-called spiritual ones – fabricated in the brain. Nothing real is fabricated, but that which is real can be used to imagine a fabricated reality. Though that which is real is not in the simulation, the reason the simulation seems to be there is that which is real. Therefore everything in the simulated world of duality can be seen as symbols of that which is real.

The experience of this image is like any other experience – including those considered spiritual – fabricated by the brain. It simulates a world where there seems to be more than one to hide that there is no more than that which is one. However, this sham symbolises that which is one because it is formless, thus endless, so there is nothing else to pull a hoax. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

The experience of god and other spiritual concepts are fabrications manufactured by the brain. Like mundane experiences, they can be measured physically because the brain is nothing but a labyrinth of fat and synapses that pass electrical signals from cell to cell.

In other words, whether you perceive your experiences as ordinary or spiritual, they are fabricated by electrical impulses in the brain (read more about that here). The idea of you being someone inside a body is also manufactured by the brain, and so is your consciousness. Like a magician, the brain wants you to feel so entertained by its show that you do not see it is made from nothing, including what you believe in being.

»When you dig into molecules, and the states of ion channels, enzymes, transcription programs, cells, synapses, and whole networks of neurons, you come to realise that there is no one place in the brain where memories are stored,« says Kukushkin. »This is because of a property called plasticity, the feature of neurons that memorize. The memory is the system itself.« From an article in Wired.

THE AFTERIMAGE
Everything you think and do was set in motion millions of years ago. It could be predicted then because, in non-linear time, the entire story of the universe starts and ends at the same momentHowever, even though the universe has ended, you hang onto the remaining data or fragments from an afterimage of it. Actually, what you believe in being is nothing but disintegrated pieces of honeycombed memories. To make sense of these fractured bits, you try to fill the gaps with concepts of love, god and other lofty theories.

You cannot do anything wrong when perceiving everything as a symbol of oneness because doing something wrong is also a symbol of it. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

In other words, everything experienced is make-believe, which is why you cannot know reality, find the truth or realise what is you. But you can discover what you are not by perceiving your appearance as a symbol of that which is real. That frees you to enjoy spiritual experiences of inner peace and the excitement of football as a symbol of reality, which is oneness since it is formless, thus endless. No special steps or philosophy are required because whatever you do is a symbol of reality.

»After a short, productive explosion of early activity, the universe has begun its long mope towards oblivion. To the extent that anything was ever important, it won’t be. Time, space, energy, matter – all gone … That’s right: Everything you know and love, the entire universe of possible things, will be gone.« from the article The End of the Universe published in Wired.

APPENDIX ABOUT HANGING ONTO AFTER IMAGES
Hanging onto after images is like hanging onto selected memories of a dead spouse via an app that has collected everything your beloved has said on social media. From this, you can use your favourite parts in an internal dialogue with your spouse, responding as you want.

And maybe the app can use fragments from telephone conversations added together, so your spouse speaks about something recent from Wikipedia. Thus you have a chat that does not seem dated and feels like a real conversation with a live person – though that person has no mouth and is nothing but data collected from the internet.

The spouse may even be reconstructed as a robot implemented with artificial intelligence, texture-mapped with skin constructed similar to the best-looking photos from the past. Hence you can relive your finest memories of being together – naybe spiced up with kinky sex based on pornographic videos from the internet. Should you suspect something is wrong, you continue because, even if it is not real, it feels better than reality.

NOTES:

  • An episode of Black Mirror called Be Right Back inspired the box about after images. And the concept of ‘hanging onto some remaining data or fragments’ is inspired by the movie Source Code. The scientific info about the brain Alexius has found here and there, so the article is the usual mismatch the brain likes to combine to make an illusion that feels amusing. But the experience of this specific illusion can be beneficial in seeing that all experiences, whether they appear mundane or spiritual, are make-believe.
