The belief in being someone is bananas

Updated July 5, 2022

The brain creates the experiences you have in a dream, so it seems you are somewhere else than in your bed. The same applies to the experiences you have when you assume to be awake, except you are not in a bed somewhere but nowhere, as everything experienced is created by the brain from out of nothing to make it look like there is more than that which is One. But since oneness is formless, thus endless, there is no more than that which is One. So if you believe to be in a world where there seems to be more than one, you trust the brain when it claims your experience of this is assembled from frequencies picked up by the sensory system, although your experience solely is fabricated by the brain. Read more about that here. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

No matter where you experience being in a dream, it is an illusion created inside you because you are in your bed. The same applies to where you experience being when you believe to be awake. In this case, however, it is not a dream happening inside you while you sleep in a heavenly bed.

There is no heaven, nor somebody having a dream or anything else because that requires more than one, and there is no more than that which is One since it is formless, thus endless. Alexius’ Duality Hacks, therefore, is as fake as anything else that calls for more than one. Nevertheless, when there appears to be someone who believes, that it is possible to be and have more than that which is One, Alexius’ Duality Hacks undo that belief.

One who is to be compared to ‘the Enlightenment of that which is One’ versus someone who is not [draft]

Updated November 7, 2022

One who is to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One has, like everybody else, its personality. But unlike everybody else, it is not definitive but relative. In other words, the character can, just like the hands of the body, for example, be used in many ways, as there is no attachment to a unique expression of it. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

One who is to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One has nothing to discuss and no need to participate in any communication!

On the other hand, the unenlightened need to belong to a particular group where they debate, meditate or hug to fabricate a feeling of oneness. However, by doing that, they establish that there is more than one, and oneness is an illusion.

The unenlightened assume that they produce thoughts themselves and that theirs are a significant contribution to the world. But nobody is thinking anything – like the radio only can transmit the signals it receives, a person only transmits the signals that come from the brain. Read more about that in hack #4.2 The brain’s script and how to perceive to feel happy.

However, contrary to the radio, the unenlightened show off as self-made, giving the impression that the opinions it broadcasts are contemplated by itself. However, these ‘personal’ opinions seem dull to one who is to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One. That is not because they are unreal but because the unenlightened take them seriously. It is comparable to persons in a dream establishing themselves as real, although they are nothing but a fantasy – only the dreamer is real.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The unenlightened are full of thoughts they assume are made by themselves and therefore represent their specific personality. In one who is to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One, there are also many thoughts, but there is no ‘I’ with the need to pick them up and put them together, so they seem to belong to someone specific. Hence thoughts are just passing by like birds in the sky.

That does not mean that one who is to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One observes the thoughts passing by. When an angry thought pops up, the Enlightened gets mad but also calm because everything comes in pairs in a world duality. See hack #4.4 The duality flow goes to non-duality.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

One who is to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One never waits because such a person has nothing to hope for. Neither does such a person live in the now because there is no life in a world where there seems to be more than one

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

When you see a movie, you forget it is not real, and you seem to go, where the movie takes you.

When we watch a movie, we forget it is not real, and for a while, we seem to go where the film takes us, although we do not really believe in being there. But, unfortunately, most have forgotten that the movie called The World is not real. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

The unenlightened likes to demonstrate their knowledge of ancient scriptures or popular saints to appear a part of something greater. But one who is to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One has no need to be part of anything because there is no more than that which is One.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

To have a quiet mind does not mean that there are no thoughts but that you do not believe in having created them – or anything else. In other words, thoughts and feelings seem to be rushing through one who is compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One, just like they do in everybody else. However, the Enlightened do not identify with them.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The unenlightened see differences everywhere, and so does one who is to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One. But the latter does not perceive them to make a difference.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

One who is to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One knows there is no more than the formlessness of oneness. Most others assume there must be more.

That does not mean that one who is to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One knows about heaven or nirvana, how to unite with atman or god or transcend the self and whatnot. On the contrary, the Enlightened see it as a waste of time to obtain such states of mind because it requires more than one. Hence you remain within the illusion of a world where there seems to be more than one.

In the context of such a world, one who is to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One prefers googling for how and where to get good food, clothes and other practical things that make it more comfortable to appear as someone instead of learning about kundalini and otherworldly states to avoid participating in a world where there seems to be more than one.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Someone who is to be compared to the enlightenment of that which is one takes part in the world where there seems to be more than one in the same way that a televison takes part in it. Whatever is receives it plays out. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

One who is to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One takes part in a world where there seems to be more than one in the same way that television functions. Whatever it receives, it broadcasts as received. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

One who is to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One does not feel alienated when taking part in a world where there seems to be more than one because the Enlightened do not believe to be there. Besides, for the Enlightened, it is not about being or having something because the only thing known is that there is no more than that which is One. But that is not the same as that which is One is known. It cannot be known because it takes more than one to know something.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

All light that can be seen is an illusion because it takes more than one to see something, and there is no more than the formlessness of oneness. So, therefore, the light from that which is One is not something you see, nor is it something you become since that also requires more than one.

To not see and neither be the light of that which is One, you must be willing to undo the belief in being someone. Forgetting what and where you are or not caring about being and having more than One, you are nobody, thus seeing nothing.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Being grounded, wise, or anything else definable is not an attribute of one who is to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One because someone like that does not need to be anything specific.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

You may think what can be seen is real. But it is the other way around. Only that which cannot be seen is genuine. Reality is invisible because it is oneness, which is formless, thus without dimensions.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The enlightened are not bothered by thoughts because there is no need to fabricate a story with them.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Nobody walks around Enlightened in the world of appearances because it is an illusion to appear as someone in a world where there seems to be more than one, and Enlightenment of that which is One is not an illusion. A little friend of Alexius shot this image. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

What you appear to be must be forgotten to welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One. That is probably why St. Paul, according to the New Testament, died daily.

In other words, nobody walks around Enlightened as that which is One. It is impossible because the Enlightenment of that which is One destroys a world where there seems to be more than one – but not literally because it is not real since there is no more than one. What is wiped out is the belief that t.

Having had that belief wiped out and then picking it up again, you appear to be just like everybody else in a world where there seems to be more than one. However, there is one big difference: You know from vague memories of the Enlightenment of that which is One, that there is no more than that which is One, so you do not believe to be in a world where there seems to be more than one – you pretend to be there.

Since others might perceive one who is to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One as detached, they conclude that they need to be detached to be Enlightened. But it is the other way around. You need not be or know anything to welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

In a world where there seems to be more than one – like in a movie – everything has an end. Thus the unenlightened cherish the ideas of god, heaven, reincarnation, or anything else that seems to extend its life beyond a world where there seems to be more than one.

On the other hand, one who is to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One deals with the world like playing a computer game. It is not possible to be in it, but it is possible to pretend it.

The unenlightened may ask, who is it, that pretends to be ‘there’ – but one who is to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One would never ask such a question. There is no more than that which is One, so nobody pretends to be ‘there.’

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Alexius is not full of light but of nothing, as there is no more than that which is One, and it takes more than one to be Alexius. Yet, in a world where there seems to be more than one, he is to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Though Alexius is to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One, he does not know what it is. So if you have the impression that he knows something, you may have fooled yourself into thinking his writings are based on something he understands. On the contrary, as a vessel, he types what he receives without understanding it.

Fortunately, there is not something to understand because no one has ever left oneness since it is formless, thus endless.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

»The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.« Jesus about Enlightenment, Matt 6:22, King James Bible.

Alexius’ body is not full of light. The Enlightenment of that which is One is formless, so it cannot be in a body defined by time and space. Besides, everything in the body is an illusion because making it takes more than one.

For the same reason, there is no way leading to the Enlightenment of that which is One. No worries. It is not needed because that which is One is formless, thus endless, so it cannot be left. Hence there is no Alexius or anybody else to Enlighten.

What sort of external music resembles the internal harmonies

Updated November 25, 2022

R-699747-1323974749.jpeg

If you are used to the ethereal music that the inward-facing senses reveal when the outward ones are partly turned off, memories of these harmonies can be triggered when listening to external music from artists like Charalambides. This image grabbed from the web is a cover from their album ‘A Vintage Burden.’

Maybe Mozart’s inspiration to compose music came from sensing the ethereal harmonies inside him. That is not to say that his music sounds like ethereal harmonies, but the flow of it resembles the effortless elegance and beauty of ethereal harmonies. However, this does not apply when Mozart neglects the natural flow to reach a dramatic peak. There is no drama in ethereal harmonies because they accompany one perpetual present, which has no beginning and end, thus no drama.

Bells and similar sounds that do not add to something specific resemble inner ethereal music. But not in the monotonic way of the bells in the churches because ethereal music is non-structured harmonies.

The organic way contemporary electronic music moves without going anywhere, producing ambient textures that seem without a beginning or end, resembles the ethereal harmonies. It achieves this by using glitches, other sonic artefacts, slowed-played steel guitar, chimes and bells, and analogue or synth sounds mixed with piano loops. However, these effects result in a harder edge and a less transparent sound than the ethereal harmonies, which have a crystal clear but transparent sound with no sonic artefacts needed to produce spiciness. Actually, the inner music arises from not trying to achieve anything.

New-age music that sounds like dreamy symphonies of otherworldly states – Karunesh and Marsen Jules, for example – does not resemble ethereal harmonies because is not symphonic or anything else that suggests a progression in linear time. And it is not otherworldly because the world is an illusion since oneness is formless, thus endless.

When Alexius experiences the world of the outward-facing senses, he does not try to change it into the harmonies of the inward-facing senses. Instead, he goes with the music of the outward-facing senses. But he does not do it to drown out the inward-facing senses. Instead, he uses them to relate to the music of the outward-facing senses. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

However, appearing to be someone in an illusion, Alexius does not listen to music resembling the inner harmonies. Instead, he adjusts to the illusion and its music. He likes Editors and Philip Glass. And he loves Boleros from the 50s, especially Lucho Gatica and Los Panchos. He also likes the Danish singer Bjørn Fjæstad. And guitar virtuosos, such as Dean McPhee and Derek Gripper. The latter is a classical guitarist from Cape Town, specialising in the kora music of Mali. Alexius cannot stop listening to Beth Gibbons, especially in Górecki – Symphony No. 3. Also Josephine Foster, and recently, he discovered Adrianne Lenker.

A LIST OF ARTICLES MENTIONING THE INNER MUSIC

A LIST OF MODERN MUSIC THAT RESEMBLES INNER MUSIC
Below is a list of electronic artists producing soundscapes that resemble inner music. Please be aware that although the inner music is impersonal, pointing out specific pieces with a similar vibe is personal. The list was made in 2015 and is far from complete. If you click on the below links, you can hear the music on Boomkat.

On Boomkat, you can also listen to Alexius’ favourite musicians, Lubomyr Melnyk and James Blackshaw. They are influenced by minimalist composers and European classical music, incorporating overtones, drones and repeating patterns. Drones, although, only in the case of James Blackshaw.

They have made an album together, almost bringing you into a not-knowing state. But not entirely because you depend on the atmosphere that the music creates, and in a state of not-knowing, you are not reliant on anything. Click here to enjoy the last track from the album.

Alexius in Wonderland

Updated November 6, 2022

Those who hear or feel the humming from far away echoing oneness cannot use it to improve themselves or the world. But they will be used by it as a door to close the experience of a world where there seems to be more than one, so there is no experience to hide that which cannot be experienced, namely that which is One. That does not mean they will be transformed because that requires more than one. Nor does it mean they will cease to exist because they have never existed since there is no more than oneness since it is formless, thus endless. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

If a world where there seems to be more than one is unreal, but that which is One is real, it is impossible to be in a world where there is more than one. And yet, we appear to be in such a world. However, one who is to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One, like Alexius, does not believe but pretends to be there, like when playing a computer game. That is why his below description of the world standing still, for example, does not reflect reality but how Alexius experiences pretending to be where he is not. The same applies to listening to the echo of oneness or having other glimpses of Enlightenment.

THE WORLD STOOD STILL
The first time the world stood still was in Alexius’ teen years. He looked out the window, and everything was covered by snow. It was like the whiteness outside of him turned everything white inside him while Donovan’s Jennifer Juniper was playing in the background.

He forgot to participate in the story of time and space. And the air, he perceived as so thin that there was no space between anything. Although music was coming out of his speakers, the silence was so loud that all he heard was the echo of oneness.

Much later, on a walk along the sea, the echo of oneness was there again – and not so much later, when he was walking on a pedestrian street busy handing out flyers, the distant echo of oneness was so intense that even though people were moving around, it was like there was no movement and no people. He did not know what was going on, nor did he try to figure it out because when you hear the echo of oneness, you do not need more.

After being accustomed to hearing the echo of that which is One, he realised that this distant humming is what the words Aum, Sohang or The Word of God symbolise and that people do not hear it because they expect those words to reveal a higher understanding. But there is no understanding get, and neither is there any need for it when you hear the distant humming that Aum, Sohang and The Word of God symbolise.

Read Life has no secrets, if you want to learn how to hear and feel the vibration that AumSohang and The Word of God symbolise.

I never do anything so-called spiritual. When I wake up in the mornings I go for a long walk, until I come to this point and return back home. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Alexius never do anything so-called spiritual, such as meditation. But in the mornings, he goes for a long walk from where he often returns home after hearing the echo of oneness here. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

THE ECHO OF ONENESS
The word guitar is a symbol of something that makes amazing sounds. But you do not sense them when reading the word unless you have heard them before.

That is the same regarding Aum, Sohang or The Word of God. These words symbolise the distant humming of oneness. But if you have not heard the unpronounceable vibration of oneness, they will not remind you of the distant sound you hear from a computer when your ear is close to it.

To be so close to the computer, you have to stop focusing on the world empowered on its screen. The same applies to hearing or feeling the distant echo of oneness coming from the edge of the universe. In other words, you must stop focusing on the appearances in a world where there seems to be more than one to hear or feel the echo of oneness. You can read what it feels and sounds like here.

The echo of oneness hangs about a world where there seems to be more than one. It is the engine of that world but not in the sense that it produces it. That is not possible because it echoes that without a beginning or end. Hence it cannot create anything specific. But its energy is used to keep together the imagination of a world where there seems to be more than one, although it is not there itself – just like the dreamer’s energy makes it possible to have a dream but not to manifest the dreamer in the dream.

The vibration that ‘Aum’ and ‘Sohang’ symbolises is your launching pad to oneness.

Therefore, this primordial vibration is not for you if you dream about getting famous or rich or making the world a better place per a specific belief. It knows nothing to achieve or make better. On the contrary, it undoes everything conceivable, so there is nothing but that which cannot be experienced, namely, the formlessness of oneness.

Glimpses of Enlightenment are not experienced in the body you used to know. It is rather like when the dentist’s anaesthesia in the mouth slowly stops working. You feel something, but it is not as if it is the body you used to know. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

THE ENLIGHTENMENT OF THAT WHICH IS ONE VERSUS GLIMPSES OF IT
The Enlightenment of that which is One cannot be experienced as that requires more than one. Therefore, the above is not about the Enlightenment of that which is One but about having glimpses of it by hearing the vibration that Aum, Sohang or The Word of God symbolise. Such glimpses you have when the definable world of the outward-facing senses is so far-off that the distant humming from the edge of the universe is the nearest.

But this is just one aspect of having glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One. The other ones are striking visions of light, hearing the crispness of ethereal harmonies, tasting the sweetness of oneness, or feeling any of these expressions. However, since society is very focused on visual impact, you may only have heard of the visual aspect of the Enlightenment of that which is One.

The inward-facing senses reveal glimpses of Enlightenment when the outward-facing ones are partly closed. Thus they are not physically tangible. As long you experience the Enlightenment of that which is One in one of its aspects, you have glimpses of it. But if you stop perceiving one of these aspects as made of different elements, there is nothing to define you as an experiencer. Hence, since nobody experiences them, there is nothing but the Enlightenment of that which is One (see hack #6.1 From the inward-facing senses through a black hole into that which is One).

Having fun exploring the world of the outward-facing senses. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

REALITY IS NEVER-ENDING. THUS EVERYTHING THAT ENDS IS UNREAL
Compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One or having glimpses of it, appearing to be someone in the world of the outward-facing senses feels like a distraction. But why not enjoy this definable world? There is nothing to lose. You are not someone definitive, so you can pretend to be anybody in the world of the outward-facing senses. If you are into concepts of love, you can perceive the world through glasses of love. It is all make-believe, so you may as well pretend to be in wonderland. See hack #1.3 Pretending to be someone definitive is liberation. Especially if you do it with the duality flow because then your wonderland is contrasted by sorrow, so you feel wonderful when you are sad. See hack #4.4 The duality flow goes to non-duality.

When the world experienced through the outward-facing senses is an illusion, one may conclude that the world experienced through the inward-facing senses is real. But what is real never ends, so both the inward and outward-facing senses are unreal because all their experiences have an end  – including glimpses of Enlightenment.

THE ENLIGHTENMENT OF THAT WHICH IS ONE IS A JOURNEY WITHOUT DISTANCE TO THAT WHICH IS ONE
Metaphorically, you can say that what you experience via the inward-facing senses is a wall surrounding that which is One. The wall seems to have no substance. Yet it can be seen, heard, felt or tasted. Suppose you do not try to define this. In that case, the outward-facing senses have nothing to work with and a door that looks like a black hole, with a thin frame of white light inside it and rapidly spiralling bright light around it, suddenly and very quickly sucks you into it.

However, you do not reach oneness since the black hole has no end. Nonetheless, since you have the belief in being someone undone, you are what you always have been and will be, namely, the formlessness of oneness. In other words, you have never been someone experiencing something.

The four aspects of Enlightenment and how to sample them

Updated November 5, 2022

The echo of that which is one, which often is symbolised by the words Aum, Sohang or The Word of God and which comes from the edge of the universe can be heard or felt right now via the inner senses, because they are not limited by time and space.

The echo of that which is One is often symbolised by the words Aum, Sohang or The Word of God. It comes from the edge of the universe, but since the inward-facing senses are not limited by time and space, for them, it takes no time to go there to hear or feel the echo of oneness coming out of a black hole. See, Going back to the first moment of duality.

None of the facets of the Enlightenment of that which is One can be experienced because it requires more than one to be conscious of something. Thus when you think you have felt, seen, heard, or tasted it, it was not the Enlightenment of that which is One but glimpses of it. They are, like a movie trailer, only samples, thus not the Enlightenment of that which is One. This article is about how to experience those samples that can be felt, seen, heard, or tasted with the inward-facing senses while still in the world of the outward-facing senses.

Please be aware that the ways described below to have glimpses of Enlightenment will not work if you look forward to being or having more, as their function is to undo the belief that it is possible to be and have more than that which is one. However, this does not mean you must restrain yourself from getting more but not care about it.

THE ECHO OF ONENESS
As already implied, oneness cannot be revealed because it calls for more than one. However, when you keep feeling or hearing it echoing from the edge of the universe, the belief in a world defined by time and space is, eventually, undone. Hereafter, the belief does not appear to hide there never was or will be more than that which is one.

In other words, the more you ignore the world defined by time and space, produced by the outward-facing senses, the more a world not limited by time and space is experienced by the inward-facing senses. Without time and space, it takes no time to go to the edge of the universe (read more about that here), where the echo of oneness has been used to create a fantasy world of time and space which seems genuine until you feel or hear this primordial vibration, often symbolised by Aum, Sohang or The Word of God.

This is the Hindi symbol of ´sohang´ – grabbed from the web

The Hindi symbol of Sohang.

»With every exhalation the soul recites ‘Hang’ and with every inhalation it recites ‘So’. Thus every soul counts the mantra of Sohang (So plus Hang) twenty-one thousand and six-hundred times every day and night.« Gherand Samhita, stanza 84.

In Eastern religions the echo of oneness is symbolised by the word ‘Aum’ or ‘Sohang’ and in the New Testament by ‘The Word of God’: »In the origin The Word had been existing and That Word had been existing with God and That Word was himself God.« John 1:1, Aramaic Bible in Plain English.

One who is to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One perceives ‘The Word’ in the above quote as a metaphor for the unpronounceable vibration you feel or hear when not totally focused on the world of the outward-facing senses. However, the unenlightened speculates about what exact words this qoute hints at, even though there is not a single verse in the Bible referring to ‘The Word of God’, as something that is written or can be spoken.

The vibration that AUM or Sohang symbolizes comes from the edge of the universe, which is only far away if you let yourself be deceived by a world defined by linear time as experienced through the outer senses.

Glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One come from a black hole at the edge of the universe. However, this is not far away when you ignore the outward-facing senses and their world defined by time and space but instead go with the inward-facing ones because they are not ruled by time and space. Thus you can feel. see, hear, or taste the glimpses regardless of where you appear in the world of the outward-facing senses.

A way to ignore the outward-facing senses so you can feel or hear the echo of oneness with the inward-facing senses is not to be exclusive but inclusive. When you include all that you feel or hear – or are willing to – the sum of it is felt or heard by the inward-facing senses. It feels or sounds like the humming of nothing and everything. And it is like being both in the world of the outward and inward-facing senses. If you want to read about inclusiveness versus exclusiveness, check hack #3.1 Inclusiveness is freedom.

You can also use the word Aum or Sohang as a launching pad for feeling or hearing the humming from the edge of the universe. Read the article Life has no secrets to learn that without spending years meditating, chanting and whatnot.

READ ABOUT THE INWARD AND OUTWARD-FACING SENSES:

When your eyes become single, there is no separation to hide the enlightenment of that which is one. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

When your eyes become single, there is no separation to hide the Enlightenment of that which is One.

THE THIRD EYE
Seeing glimpses of oneness is done via the inward-facing sense, often called the third eye, a single ‘eye’ in the middle of the two eyes above the two eyebrows.

»The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.« Matt 6:22, King James Bible. This makes much sense to one who is to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One but obviously not to the unenlightened, because in the new international version of the New Testament this sentence has been changed to: »The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy, your whole body will be full of light.«

The enlightenment of that which is One is bid welcome by completely ignoring the outward-facing senses. First time this happened for Alexius was when he returned home totally exhausted after a long nights work of taxi driving and simply was too tired to focus.

In other words, to be offbeat, exhausted, confused or maybe even drunk is a way to forget the world ofthe outward-facing senses, so that there is no world to see, thus nothing to hide the Enlightenment of that which is One. In fact anything that is not part of a scheme to fabricate images defined by time and space will do.

If that includes drugs Alexius does not know, because he has not experienced them. Yet he can say from looking at others taking drugs, that it seems to be more about expanding the consciousness of a world where there seems to be more than one than undoing it.

»Direct your eyes toward the middle of the eyebrows and meditate upon your own self. It is Shambhavi Mudra, the most secret practice of all the Tantra scriptures.« Gherand Samhita, stanza 59.

The positioning of the body, while activating the third eye, does not matter.

The positioning of the body, while activating the third eye, does not matter, as long as the body does not bother you.

Practically speaking you can turn off the visual outward-facing sense and open the third eye by closing the eyes and lightly, without any concentration, hold a finger on the third eye. You can do it anywhere in any position. However, it is best to do in a dark room, so you do not think the revelation of light comes from the world of the outward-facing senses.

If something like this is dechiffered into different colors and forms, you will have glimpses of the enlightenment of that which is one, but if you do not judge any colors or forms to be different from each other the apparent differences will explode into one bright light.

If having a vision like this and it is deciphered into an experience of different colours and shapes around a centre, it is a glimpse of ‘the Enlightenment of that which is One.’ But if you on the other hand do not judge the apparent different colours and forms to make a difference or to come from somewhere specific, one bright and colourless light, that seems to explode from out of nowhere wipes out all thoughts collected to shape you as somebody so that nobody gracefully falls into the formlessness of oneness.

Since the eyes always looks for the greatest contrast of light, your closed eyes automatically search the darkness until they move inwards and upwards towards the third eye from where they settle at a lightshow radiating at such speed that its colours hardly is perceived to differ.

»Touching eyeballs as a feather, lightness between them opens into the heart and there permeates the cosmos.« Sochanda Tantra, stanza 13.

If your eyes do not automatically move inwards and upwards into the area of the inward-facing senses above the eyebrows, you may help them by gently pressing the thumb and middle finger on the outer corner of the eyeballs and the middle finger on the third eye.

However, this is not really commendable, since even the slightest effort requires focus, and it is not focus but defocus that bids welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One or glimpses of it. Furthermore this may give you the impression that certain physical postures can open the third eye.

None of the inward-facing senses are reached via a specific posture or way of thinking. But deactivating the outward-facing senses can be achieved in this way, so if you find a specific technique that seems helpful regarding this by all means go for it. However, the fastest way to deactivate the outward-facing senses is to not know what and where you are.

A way to to deactivate the outward-facing senses is to use an eye massager such as RENPHO Eye Massager with Heat Compression. Besides from turning off the outward-facing sense of seeing, the heat soften the eyes. And when they are relaxed, they do not focus. Hence they automatatically turn inwards and upwards to merge with the third eye.

»… and there shall be no light there, and they need no candle there, neither the light of the sun, for the Lord God giveth them light.« Rev. 22:5

The thought construction that seems to keep you together as someone tangible is left at the edge of a black hole.

The thought construction that seems to keep you together as someone tangible must be left at the edge of a black hole so that there is nothing to smoothly fall into the formlessness of oneness.

When your eyes are so soft that they do not focus, there is nothing to prevent glimpses of Enlightenment to merge into one bright white light, namely the Enlightenment of that which is One. It extracts all thoughts, that you have stored making you appear as someone definitive, and leave them at the edge of what may look like a black hole, so there is nobody to experience the nothingness of you smoothly falling into the formlessness of oneness.

You can read more about a black hole in the article The ins and outs of a black hole.

Enlightenment is not an out-of-the-body experience as it is not an experience, but its preliminary stage of bliss and compassion, which is connected to the world via the pineal gland, is an experience that is often perceived to be out-of-the-body.

The enlightenment of that which is one is not an out-of-body experience. It is not an experience at all. But its preliminary stages of bliss and compassion, which in the world probably is connected with the pineal gland, is something that may be felt as an out-of-body experience.

However, most are afraid of loosing their identity, so they settle for glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One, which is like a blissful out-of-body experience – presumably linked to the pineal gland which appears to foster states like that.

If you are not tempted to stop at this bliss, but to go where someone definitive cannot go, namely into the Enlightenment of that which i One, it is not an out-of-body experience. On the contrary, there is no experience at all, nor consciousness, because to be awate of something requires more than one.

If you want to leave the Enlightenment of that which is One and be reshaped as someone definitive, you must recollect the thoughts, that was left at the edge of a black hole so you could enter it as nobody.

Returning from the Enlightenment of that which is One to a world where there seems to be more than one, you cannot know, you have been at the other side of a black hole, because you were not there and there is no other side, since there is no more than that which is one. In other words, the person you appear to be is not Enlightened. Yet, due to vague memories of that which is One, you are to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One.

It is not possible though for somebody else to know, this. You will hardly grasp it yourself. But for sure you grasp, that a world where there seems to be more than one is not real.

ac1d3bc0-5bae-4dac-921e-8c1c4d9f64e1ETHEREAL HARMONIES
The airy music you can experience with the inward-facing senses is full of ethereal harmonies, probably floating out of a black hole at the edge of the universe.

»I heard a sound from heaven like the sound of cascading waters and like the rumbling of loud thunder. The sound I heard was also like harpists playing on their harps.« Revelation 14:2, Holman Christian Standard Bible.

Being used to take a ride in the world of the inward-facing senses, that opens up when the outward-facing senses are not fully activated to experience a world defined by time and space, you sense the first sentence of this quote refers to ‘Aum’ or ‘Sohang’ or ‘The Word of God,’ and that the second one to ethereal music.

»At midnight when not a single sound is heard, close your ears with both hands and do Purak Pranayama. Listen to the sounds in your right ear which are very pleasant. The first sound that you will hear is of a pine bird, the second of a flute, third of a cloud, fourth of a dragon bee, the fifth of a ringing bell and then of a gong of metal. Sounds of trumpet, drum etc. are also heard.

Except for having scim read The New Testament and Bhagavad Gita Alexius have not read religious scripts. Therefore, most of the words in the quote from Gherand Samhita are meaningless to him. But since he hears music inside him, it is easy to pick the essence of the quote is the bliss of listening to ethereal harmonies. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Besides these, many other sounds are heard if it is practiced daily. These sounds are Anahata (unproduced) and come on their own accord. Nada is related to light. Light is related to mind, so mind gets itself merged in a sound which is the seat of the Lord. Therefore, practice of Bhramari gives Siddhi of Samadhi (i.e., makes Samadhi possible).

Mind gets eightfold more pleasure in the act of meditation than Japa (repeating God’s name), eightfold more interest in Tapas (penance) than the meditation, and eightfold more interest in music or sound than the Tapas. There is nothing greater than music.« Gherand Samhita, stanzas 77-81. Besides for the word ´Nada´ meaning music Alexius does not know the meaning of the Hindi words in this quote, but hearing music inside him – though not so bombastic as described in this quote – he gets the overall meaning of it.

Using noise-cancelling headphones is a great way to close off the outward-facing sense of hearing. Alexius prefers in-ear headphones, though, as they can also be used when going to bed.

A practical way to stop hearing the world of the outward-fencing senses and start listening to the music of the inward-fencing ones is to put both thumbs in your ears or use noise-cancelling headphones or in-ear headphones. Then without focusing or trying to define anything, be nothing but the ethereal music coming to you from what may seem far away.

For tuning in, it is best not to go with the sounds from the left ear. They often come from a busy mind. So instead, follow the harmonies that appear to come from an empty space a bit outside of the right ear. That said, do not pay too much attention to directions.

Maybe you will not hear ethereal harmonies immediately but the humming symbolised by ‘Aum’ or ‘Sohang’ or ‘The Word of God.’ If so, go with that glimpse of the Enlightenment of that which is One. It could also be that you ‘hear’ thoughts. But they will not disturb you from hearing eternal harmonies if that is what you want – nor from having visions of light, infinite sweetness or sublime intimacy.

Tasting the sweetness of oneness helps you not to focus on the world of the outward-facing senses. Since this eventually results in not perceiving the apparent differences to make a difference, there is not something specific to hide that which is One.

THE TASTE OF ONENESS
The taste of oneness can be compared to the transparent taste of the foam on a milkshake with a few drops of honey and maybe a hint of either liquorice, strawberry, or mint. It can also be compared to how marshmallows – especially those with a flavour of strawberries – interact with the palate.

Some Chinese Herb Formulations or teas – for example Spring Dragon Longevity Tea – enhance the taste of oneness, provided you already are in touch with it. The same applies to the Ayurvedic teas, that Alexius have tasted that include liquorice.

But it is best not to compare the taste of oneness or other glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One to anything else, as all comparisons are based on definitions from the past, thus cancelling out the ever-present glimpses of Enlightenment.

»Your lips drip nectar, my bride, honey and milk are under your tongue.« Song of Solomon 4:11.

»A land flowing with milk and honey« Exodus 3:8

»Whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never be thirsty, but the water that I shall give him shall be in him as a well of water springing up into everlasting life.« John 4:10-4:14.

Even though this taste is called the nectar of life in some scriptures, you should not expect it to make you younger or inject you with more energy in the world of the outward-facing senses. Getting more is an illusion based on the belief that there is more than that which is One.

One way of undoing this belief is not to focus because without it, the apparent differences in a world where there seems to be more than one become blurred. Thus different appearances do not seem to hide, there is no more than the formlessness of oneness. Fortunately, the side-effect of the technique for the taste of oneness is defocusing.

The inner sense of taste not only stops the compulsive focusing on forms but also your cravings for sweets and to experience  something definable. The taste of life is always there and it is free. Neither do you have to meditate or be pure to consume it. All you have to do is to put your tongue behind the uvula. And if you cannot do that, it is also OK, because doing so is just meant to help you deactivating the outer senses and the only thing that really accomplish that, is the intention to do it. Just like even you are at a springboard, you will not dive from it, if that is not your intention of going there.

The inward fasing sense of taste does not only diminish the compulsive focusing on something definitive but also your cravings for more, for example sweets. This taste is always there. It is free, and you do not have to meditate or be pure to enjoy it. All you have to do is to put your tongue behind the uvula and devote yourself to the taste of oneness. If you cannot get your tongue all the way, it is not a problem. Doing so is meant to help you deactivating the outward-facing senses and the only thing that really accomplish this, is the intention of doing that. In other words, reaching the uvula with your tongue is good enough. Actually, when you hold the underneath of your tongue on the soft area beneath the uvula you feel the empty breath (see What does ‘the empty breath’ feel like?) and get the sweet taste of oneness. This is not a metaphor, nor second-hand knowledge but Alexius’ experience from tasting the subleness of oneness on both sides of the uvula. As a result of this technique, the empty breath is activated. It expands the breathing, which makes the the body feel glorious. And the soft taste of oneness prevents you from focusing on the world of the outward-facing senses. Thus you feel absorded by the happiness of abstractness.

The taste of oneness unfolds under the tongue, when it is moved behind the uvula (the skin flap hanging down in the back of the mouth at the entrance to the throat). Placing it there makes you feel like you are not in the world even though you appear there. Besides it cutbacks the need to focus on the world of the outward–facing senses and also the longing for more, especially the craving for sweets. That is if you devote yourself to it – no techniques work without devotion. Yet devotion can work without a technique.

To get the tongue behind the uvula you may have to press it backwards for a long time, maybe for months, and finally use a finger to push it the rest of the way. However, this may make you feel as if you are about to vomit. No worries – it is just a feeling. When you are used to keeping your tongue there, it is easy, and there is no sense of vomiting.

»Khechari Mudra is turning the tongue backwards into the cavity of the cranium and turning the eyes inwards toward the eyebrow center.« Haha-Yoga Pradipika, Chapter 3, stanzas 32-37.

To taste the sweetness of oneness, called Khechari Mudray in the above quote, you do not have to literally replicate the ancient technique. Neither do you have to push the tongue behind the uvula as Alexius wrote above. Reaching the soft area underneath the front of the uvula with the backside of the tongue will do. See also the explanation in the above caption.

THERE IS NO WAY TO THE ENLIGHTENMENT OF THAT WHICH IS ONE
You do not welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One or samples of its four facets by becoming purer. Neither by breathing wholly, eating healthy or anything else you can do in the world of the outward-facing senses. Still, things like that may help deactivate the outward-facing senses.

However, no technique can do that if it is not the intention of executing it. In other words, the first step is solely about purpose. If that is to deactivate the outward-facing senses, many techniques may work. The second step is to devote yourself to the lucid journey in the world of the inward-facing senses.

These steps only apply to having glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One and not to welcome in its entirety, as it takes more than one to take any step.

The part of the world of the outer senses you want to experience is not meant to be blurry but in focus, so what you see is definable. It is the other way around with the world of the inner senses,. In other words, the two worlds does in most cases not work well together. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

The part of the world of the outward-facing senses you want to experience is not supposed to be blurry. It must be in focus to make the experience definable. It is the other way around in the world of the inward-facing senses. Your experiences there are abstract. Hence mixing the two worlds does not work out.

DAILY LIFE WITH GLIMPSES OF THE ENLIGHTENMENT OF THAT WHICH IS ONE
It is probably best not to be active in the world of the outward-facing senses while having visions of light. That is because the visual glimpses of Enlightenment can become so intense that the world of the outward-facing senses is hardly sensed.

However, if the technique for tasting the sweetness of oneness is only used for defocusing, it can be carried out all the time while being active in the world of the outward-facing senses. And you can enjoy the ethereal harmonies if you do it without putting your thumbs in the ears and not too long at a time. That also applies to hearing or feeling the vibration that Aum, Sohang and The Word of God symbolise. See Life has no secrets.

The result is the experience of a world less defined. Not to the extent, though, that you cannot move around but that you feel you are carried around.

That is, as long as you do not take the full tour of these glimpses because after 20 minutes, 45 at most, it ends with the Enlightenment of that which is One. Thus you no longer experience being someone in a world where there seems to be more than one, nor in oneness since that requires more than one. You are not someone at all, so there is no memory or consciousness of ever having believed that. Instead, there is what always has been and will be, namely that which is one.

The Hebrew word Elohim was originally a symbol for one perpetual present.

The word god, which is a translation of the Hebrew word Elohim, was at first meant to be a metaphor for that which is one and never ends. Hence the word god was originally a symbol for one perpetual present. Maybe because that is not understandable, when you believe to be in a world of linear time, the meaning of the word gradually changed, so that god became a symbol for one almighty force believed to have created the world defined by time and space in its own image.

But what is not definable cannot create something definable. Hence a world defined by time and space is an illusion and so is the perceived creator of that world.

APPENDIX ABOUT THE QUOTES
The terminology of yoga and scriptures – apart from The New Testament and Bhagavad Gita – is unknown to Alexius. So he does not know the scriptures quoted above. He found the quotes by searching the internet.

When everything is included, there does not appear to be something outside you. Consequently, nor inside, as that requires something outside you. Hence there is nothing but the formlessness of oneness.

Alexius does not side with Eastern or Western religions or new-age philosophy. Generally, they exclude what they judge as wrong by projecting it onto non-believers to make them tainted and themselves pure. Yoga, for example, is often based on meditation, where you must exclude something deemed evil to become pure, thus able to return to oneness. But that which is One is formless, thus endless, so you can neither add nor subtract from it. If you try to do that, you enhance the belief that there is more than that which is One.

NOTES:

The inward and outward-facing senses, the Enlightenment and its glimpses

Updated November 28, 2022

Inner visions of light of anything at all is not the enlightenment of that which is one, as it takes more than one to have a vision. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

It takes more than one to have a vision, so no matter how impressive it may be, it is not the Enlightenment of that which is One but a glimpse of it. It is comparable to a movie trailer, a sample of the whole, thus not undivided.

The world of the outward-facing senses is experienced via seeing, hearing, feeling and tasting/smelling something that appears material. The world of the inward-facing senses can also be seen, heard, felt and tasted. However, you do not get a sense of something tangible but abstract. It is also here that you welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One.

It comes through a hole that sometimes seems black. See the article The ins and outs of a black hole. But following the light into it is the end of both the outward and inward-facing senses. Hence the experience of something is over. Therefore, if you are aware of something, you are not in the Enlightenment of that which is One. Instead, you are in the world of something where you, via the inward-facing senses, have glimpses of Enlightenment while also noticing the world of the outward-facing senses.

If you for a moment forget what and where you are you are, the world of something does not appear to hide the formlessness of oneness.

You get into the Enlightenment of that which is One when its glimpses are not perceived to differ because then there is no separation to define you as someone definitive. Hence there is nobody to prevent the construction of thoughts that have replaced the formlessness of oneness with something specific being extracted by an exceptionally bright white light. Nor is there somebody to be aware that there is nobody. Consequently, nothing gracefully falls through a black hole that is no more because there is no experience to hide the formlessness of oneness.

Therefore, since what you believe in being has not been Enlightened, you appear to be the same if returning to the experience of being someone definitive. However, you do not believe this experience is real due to vague memories of formlessness. Hence you are to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One.

Since the Enlightenment of that which is One has no beginning and end, someone definitive cannot experience it. But glimpses of it – for example, travelling through lucid worlds of light – have a beginning and an end, so they can be experienced. This is done through the inward-facing senses, when the outward ones are toned down.

The outward and inward-facing senses
The outward-facing senses are geared to experience a world perceived as outside you, thus separated from you, whereas the inward-facing senses help you experience a world that does not seem separated from you. However, that does not mean it is inside you. There is neither anything inside nor outside of you, as that requires more than one, and there is no more than that which is one.

It is the same within the context of a world where there seems to be more than one, because, scientifically speaking, it consists of empty space. Therefore, what you experience is make-believe – also reading that it may be easier to undo this deception by turning down the volume of the outward-facing senses, and turning up the volume of the inner ones.

If you seem to see an E here, you are using the E, you have made in your mind, to hide all the empty space.

If you believe in seeing an ‘E’ here, you focus on seeing something recognisable to join the brain’s remodelling of empty space into something. The empty space is not the formlessness of oneness, but not when you do not interpret it as something, there do not seem to be substantial elements hiding the formlessness of oneness.

PARTIAL DEVOTION TO THE INWARD-FACING SENSES RESULTS IN GLIMPSES OF ENLIGHTENMENT
If you do not constantly focus on something specific, the outward-facing senses cannot fabricate the experiences of a world defined by time and space. Therefore, the more you defocus, the more the definable world of the outward-facing senses is complemented by the abstract world of the inward-facing senses. Thus you get glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One: light shows if you are visual-minded, ethereal music if you are auditory-minded, and flavours or feelings if you are emotional-minded.

In the article The four aspects of Enlightenment and how to sample them, you can read how to see, hear, feel and taste glimpses of the enlightenment of that which is One.

Just welcome the glimpse of the Enlightenment of that which is One that comes your way. But do not try to hang onto a specific glimpse or have it repeated. And it changes into another aspect of the Enlightenment of that which is One, go with that without trying to mix them.

These glimpses, as already noted, are not the Enlightenment of that which is One because it has no room for someone being conscious of something since that requires more than one. That does not mean what you believe in being is transformed by the Enlightenment of that which is One. Instead, it is dismissed as an illusion.

Practically speaking, it might be best to downplay the visual glimpses of Enlightenment in daily life. That is because you will have difficulty navigating the world of the outward-facing senses while having visions of light. But in most cases, you can safely go with glimpses of hearing, feeling or tasting the Enlightenment of that which is One.

The purpose of the inward-facing senses is to draw you into their abstract world, thus undoing the belief of being someone definitive – like a moth cannot help but follow its attraction to the flame, even though it is going to end of it.

Much devotion to the world of the inward-facing senses probably makes you spaced out in the world of the outward-facing senses. Yet, if you do not have to be present there, you can go with the flow of the inward-facing senses, as if the world outside you stands still. But suppose you have to do something demanding in the world of the outward-facing senses. In that case, it is best to mostly devote yourself to the outward-facing senses, so the abstractness of the inward-facing senses does not space you out.

NOT FOCUSING ON THE OUTWARD-FACING SENSES
As mentioned above, the more you defocus, the more the inward-facing senses take over. In the case of the Enlightenment of that which is One they do that entirely, and for having glimpses of Enlightenment, they do it partly. If you want to experience daily life in the world of the outward-fencing senses through the inward-facing senses, they are only used to the extent that you still can function as someone in the world of the outward-fencing senses. In other words, you do not have glimpses of Enlightenment, but you have an enjoyable experience of doing things in the world of the outward-fencing senses.

But you do not tone down the outward-facing senses if you want to escape them because you enhance what you try to escape psychologically. On the other hand, the more you wish to get close to reality, the more the outward-facing senses fade out because the inward-facing senses are much closer to the reality of that which is One. However, do not mistake them for reality. Instead, enjoy them taking you there.

Of course, this is a metaphor. You can never return to oneness because you never left it since that takes more than one. Therefore, you are not taken anywhere, but the belief in being somewhere is taken away, so nothing seems to hide that which is One.

You can also rely on the empty breath to sync the outward and inward-facing in the correct ratio per your present belief. See The empty breath syncs the inward and outward-facing senses.

How come it seems, that I am wearing a sun-hat?It could be that,it is the season for hats.

Nothing can stop you on Highway One because it is without distance, which is very relaxing when you do not insist on going in a specific direction. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

HIGHWAY ONE
What you appear to be in a world where there seems to be more than one is a creation of the brain, governed by it. You have no free will but to perceive its arrangements in your way. However, this does not mean you cannot choose to go right or left, for example. But whatever you choose, the subsequent actions are premade by the brain – just like in a computer game where every step is programmed. In other words, if you choose to have the outward and inward-facing senses synced, the brain has a plan for that, namely, to take you on a journey without distance.

Thus you are on Highway One, which has no direction, and since you are going nowhere, eventually, you realise it has always been the case. Consequently, the belief in having left that which is One is undone. In other words, you are not a puppet of the brain anymore and never were because a world where there seems to be more than one is not real, as oneness is formless, thus endless. However, since we still appear as somebody in a world with more than one, we continue within that context below.

The graphic is grabbed from the web.

The body’s healing caused by partly being devoted to the inward-facing senses is a side effect that helps you not worry about its appearance and inevitable end.

THE INWARD-FACING SENSES AND THE BODY
Devotion to the inward-facing senses will heal your body because it gives the body the peace it needs to heal itself. That may not include genetically caused diseases.

However, due to the tranquillity of the inward-facing, a genetically created condition does not generate fear. Thus it is easier to deal with (see hack #4.3 The toxic mix of physical and non-physical issues).

But suppose the body’s well-being is the purpose of devoting yourself to the inward-facing senses. Since that means you focus on something specific, you do not enter the world of the inward-facing senses, so the body is not being nurtured by it.

TOTAL DEVOTION TO THE INWARD-FACING SENSES BIDS WELCOME THE ENLIGHTENMENT OF THAT WHICH IS ONE
Complete devotion to the inward-facing senses welcomes the Enlightenment of that which is One, which immediately erases all memories of you being someone. Since that means you are not there anymore and never were, nobody knows how long this takes. Besides, the Enlightenment of that which is One is not a process but one perpetual present.

But at first, it may seem to be a process, and as long as that is the case, the brain that produced your experiences as someone is still operating. Thus it can be rebooted and recreate the experience of you as someone definitive. But since it takes more than one to be anything, the reestablished experience cannot contain the Enlightenment of that which is One. So although you are to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One, you look the same. The only difference is that you know it is not you.

However, as soon as the Enlightenment of that which is One does not seem to be a process, the brain cannot be rebooted and, therefore, not produce the experience of you as a substantial being in a tangible world. Hence there is nothing to hide that which always has been and always will be, namely, the formlessness of oneness. There is, of course, nobody to be aware of this since it takes more than one to be conscious of something.

A perfect moment with glimpses of enlightenment is something you are aware of. If you stop being aware of it, you cannot see any glimpse. There is nothing and that is where the enlightenment of that which is one sets in. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

Depending on how much you use the inward-facing senses to perceive your experiences in the world of the outward-fencing senses, you welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One, its glimpses or simply have a pleasant day. The Enlightenment erases all experiences, so there is nothing to sense, not even that which is One, since it takes more than one to be aware of something. Having its glimpses, you notice the world of the outward-fencing senses, but it does not mean much to you. But just using the inward-facing senses a little, there are no glimpses of Enlightenment, and you are much aware of the world of the outward-facing senses. However, it looks friendlier, and you feel more relaxed..

IS THE ENLIGHTENMENT OF THAT WHICH IS ONE REQUIRED TO UNDO THE BELIEF IN BEING SOMEONE?
The Enlightenment of that which is One can be said to be the last step back to the formlessness of oneness. But as formlessness is endless, you have never left it. Thus it is not about going back but realise how you hide the formlessness of oneness by believing in being definitive.

As already mentioned, the Enlightenment of that which is One undoes that belief in a split second. However, this can also be achieved while enjoying the world of the outward-facing senses. In the below box, there are some suggestions on how to do this:

The more you perceive the apparent differences in the world of the outward-facing senses to not make a difference, the more the outward-facing senses function as a set-off to that which is One (hack #3.1 Inclusiveness is freedom).

The same applies to pretending to be definitive (hack #1.3 Pretending to be someone definitive is liberation or seeing symbols of life in the world (hack #2.1 Everything experienced is a symbol of oneness).

And it also applies to being alone together, which does not mean that you are together with one or more who also are alone, but that you are alone together with your fantasy of a world where there seems to be more than one, no matter how many there seem to be around you (hack #7.1 Alone together, we go home).

The empty breath (HACK #5, A state of not-knowing is nothing but bliss) syncs the outward-facing senses with the inward-facing ones, so you over time are able to devote yourself so much to the glimpses of Enlightenment that they do not seem separated, wherefore the Enlightenment of that which is One sets in.

You do not even need Alexius’ Duality Hacks to have the belief in being someone undone. All that is necessary is not to remember what and where you are because then the belief in being someone definitive does not appear to hide the formlessness of oneness.

Since multitasking allows you to experience both love and hate emotions simultaneously, hate is as blissful as love. Furthermore, multitasking disturbs the brain, making it harder for it to focus on something specific, thus undoing the belief in being someone definitive.

The reason that so many avoid multitasking is that it leaves them no time to suppress hate so they can uphold their perfect image of love. But since love cannot be defined without hate, their perfect love is fake. Thus they are not full of love but shit. However, not suppressing hate, your love is defined by hatred and vice versa. Therefore when you feel hate, there is also love. See hack #4.4 The duality flow goes to non-duality.

Here the world of the inner senses are about to shift to bright white light, which is gonna extract all the info you have collected in order to appear as somebody and leave it at the edge at a black hole so that there is nobody to fall into the nothingness of that which is one. This is not compatible with appearing in a world, where there seems to be more than one, so if that is what you want, you better make sure the info making up your personality is not extracted or you know where to find it again. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

This image could illustrate the last glimpse of the Enlightenment of that which is One before you give up being aware of something. There is no transition from having glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One and being sucked into it. And since it is one perpetual present, you do not know when it extracts all your thoughts about being someone so that nobody is sucked into a black hole, and it gracefully falls into that which One. It is incompatible with appearing as someone in a world where there seems to be more than one, so if you want to continue like that, you better stop the extraction of thoughts. You can do that, for example, by fearing to disappear because it takes more than one to fear something. Thus you immediately appear as someone in a world where there seems to be more than one.

WHERE DO GLIMPSES OF ENLIGHTENMENT COME FROM
Physically speaking, glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One seem to originate from a non-defined space behind the frequencies of thoughts near the pineal gland. It is probably also from there that you perceive the world when you are in a state of not-knowing.

The same applies when you pretend to be a person or perceive everything in the world as symbols of oneness. The empty breath – sounding like sohang – is presumably picked up from there as well, physically speaking.

Furthermore, the pineal gland might work as a receiver for signals picked up by the eighth chakra above the head. Maybe the pineal gland or the eighth chakra is involved when experiencing glimpses of Enlightenment. You cannot know because you are blown out of the experience – and afterwards, you do not know where to look. And this is fine because focusing on the pineal will not bring about any of the above. It contracts the energy, so you feel boxed in as someone definitive. On the other hand, defocusing removes restrictions wherefore, you do not feel limited to being someone specific.

Are there degrees of Enlightenment?

Updated November 2, 2022

Enlightenment can also be felt and heard in several degrees. AUM can open your inner ear.

The Enlightenment of that which is One cannot be experienced, but glimpses of it can when you partly turn off of the world of the outward-facing senses. It happens in degrees depending on how much you shut off the world of the outward-facing senses. Read more about that here. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

The answer to the question in the headline is both yes and no. Before elaborating on this, please remember that if two people drink the same cup of tea, they most likely describe it differently. Maybe one of them talks about it in an ecstatic way and the other in a very down-to-earth way. Still, it is the same tea, so – in the context of this metaphor – please focus on the tea and not the description when you read below.

In the Enlightenment of that which is One, everything happens simultaneously. Thus there are no specific elements available to combine into something understandable. Nor is there anybody to be aware of that or anything at all. Consequently, the Enlightenment of that which is One is not an experience or a state of mind. It is that which is One, and there are no degrees of that since it requires more than one. It is not to say how long it lasts because it is one perpetual present.

Returning from the Enlightenment of that which is One to a world where there seems to be more than one, you again appear to be the same as before, except that you do not believe in being that. It is a pretence. But whether you believe or pretend to be someone requires more than one. Thus the Enlightenment of that which is One appears hidden. You can compare this to activating an app on your computer or smart media. When you do that, the desktop – although still there – is hidden until you turn off the app.

Alexius is like every other person in the world not perfect. But unlike most others he knows, it is not possible to be perfect, because that requires more than one and there is no more than that which is One.

Alexius was 22 years old when the belief in being someone definitive momentarily turned off for the first time. He did not know about the Enlightenment of that which is One from books or anywhere else, and he did not consider himself to have – what the purist may call – a pure mind or body. He probably still does not have that because the Enlightenment of that which is One does not change anything. There is no more than that which is One, so there is not something to change. That is the revelation of Enlightenment – and there are no degrees in that.

Balance is a concept invented, so that you can always feel out of balance and therefore constantly is occupied trying to get it. Being on a mission like that, you do not have time to see that there is no balance in an illusion – neither btw in that which is real. Reality is one and it takes two to have a balance.

Balance is a concept invented, so that you can always feel out of balance. Therefore, since you are constantly occupied by getting it right, you do not have time to see that balance is as illusionary as anything else in a world where there seems to be more than one. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

Spiritual wannabe’s often think they will become spritual when they have achieved the right balance, thus being in higher consciousness. But since spirituality is that which is One and it takes more than one to be in balance or conscious of something, it is not spiritual they get but numbness. If instead they acknowledged, that they do not know what and where they are, the Enlightenment of that which is One comes so fast, that the the brain has no time to distinguish anything. Therefore, since concepts fall apart, nothing seems to hide reality is that which is One.

Alexius has no answer to questions like how come he bid welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One or how come he returned to the world again. All he can say is that he is writing Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings in a world that seems full of degrees. So yes, in such a world, you can experience degrees of Enlightenment. However, they are not the Enlightenment of that which is One, but glimpses of it.

When Alexius was a child, he could not see the fully decorated Christmas tree before Christmas Eve. But he took some sneak peeks through the door’s keyhole and was amazed by the light he saw. Those sneak peeks can be compared to glimpses of Enlightenment. You are still in your ordinary world, from where you have glimpses of something very different.

In the context of this metaphor, it is not only the beautiful light you experience looking through the keyhole, you can also hear all the glitter move on the green leaves. And if you are more audio than visual-minded, these sounds might be more appealing than the light.

Apart from the visual and audiovisual aspects of the Enlightenment of that which is One, there are also aspects of feeling and tasting it. However, you do not need to follow all the elements into the non-degree version of the Enlightenment of that which is One to erase what seems to hide oneness. It is enough to follow one of the aspects into oneness. Since it is one perpetual present, the way takes no time nor going back to a world where there seems to be more than one. However, since everything in such a world is divided into more than one, you cannot bring back oneness. Nevertheless, you may have vague memories of non-separation. Thus you are someone compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One.

Glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One is experienced through the inward-facing senses when the outward ones are partly closed. And just like you can experience something in the world of the outward-fencing senses in various degrees, you can get all manner of glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One. However, you only have one aspect at a time. The most common one is the visual aspect of the Enlightenment of that which is One. But whether you see, hear, feel or taste the glimpses, they remain in your consciousness to remind you there is no more than that which is One. All of them come to Alexius regularly, but during the day, it is primarily the emotional experience of hearing and feeling the sound that Aum or Sohang symbolises. See The ins and outs of the inward-facing senses.

It sounds and feels like the vibrations from an enormous vacuum cleaner or the ventilation plant in an airport. Alexius has met people who have heard this humming when meditating but disregarded it as a sound coming from their neighbour’s vacuum cleaner. People spend so much time repeating Aum or Sohang, expecting something mysterious to happen when all they have to do is repeat it a few times to get in tune with the humming. Read here how to do that.

The word Aum or Sohang can be compared to the control knob on an analogue radio that you use to fine-tune what you want to hear. When you have that, you do not need the control knob – or in this case, the word Aum or Sohang to listen to the echo of oneness. If you hear or feel this humming while still aware of the world, you have a glimpse of the Enlightenment of that which is One. Its intensity depends on how much you are unaware of a world where there seems to be more than one.

All degrees of Enlightenment are experiences, and any experience is part of the illusion of a world where there seems to be more than one. However, these degrees of Enlightenment appear to bring you closer to the beginning of the world – just after the big bang – which is often experienced as a paradise full of ecstasy and bliss. Yet, like all other experiences, they also have an end. So does this part of Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings.

There is no conclusion to the above, and if you do not try to make one, there may be a glimpse of the Enlightenment of that which is One heading your way. Read here how to speed it up.

‘The empty breath’ syncs the inward and outward-facing senses

Updated November 27, 2022

NOTHING TWISTED INTO SOMETHING
It takes more than one to appear as someone, and there is no more than that which is One since it is formless, thus endless. Hence appearing as someone in a world where there seems to be more than one is a fantasy made from nothing, experienced by nobody.

That is not to say that oneness is nothing because it takes more than one to be anything. For the same reason, it is impossible to fantasise about more than one in oneness. Yet, it seems possible to sense more than one away from it. But since oneness is endless, there is nothing outside of it. Thus seeing something is a mirage. Maybe that is why science concludes that the world we believe in seeing consists of empty space.

Just like everything else sensed, the empty breath is invisible and colourless until the brain ascribes it to a specific shape and colour. But as the empty breath does not aspire to be something, the brain does not care to twist it into an object. Thus it remains invisible and colourless.

Not knowing what and where you are is the bliss of not believing to be someone

In the connectedness with the empty breath, the apparent difference between the opposing sides of the contrasts making up the experience of duality is cancelled out. Not in the sense that you do not register them anymore but that you do not perceive them to make a difference. Therefore, since there is no separation to attest to duality, you are in the bliss of not believing to be someone definitive.  Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

THE BLISS OF NOTHING
Though science seems to know that the experience of something is made from nothing, thus make-believe, they explore the experiences as if they are real. However, in Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings, we expose that the experience of something is fabricated from nothing by the brain, so it appears to exist. The experiences only seem real when perceived as something. If not, they are exposed as nothing. The easiest way to not perceive them as something is to go back in time to the nothingness that the brain twists into your everyday experience of something.

Since it has taken the brain one second to fabricate your recent experience, it only takes one second to go back to the nothingness it has twisted into something, thus the bliss of nothing. That happens when you connect with the empty breath because it resides in nothing. Connecting with it is not about being deeper, purer or balanced. Being something is part of the experience of being someone, and the empty breath is not part of that but the nothingness that this experience is fabricated from.

In other words, you connect with the empty breath when you do not organise thoughts and feelings into something specific but instead step into the complete uncontrolled chaos of thoughts and feelings to ignite a take-off into the empty breath

In the flow of not believing to be someone

Should you wonder, who chooses to believe in being someone, and who has programmed the brain to produce experiences that seem to confirm this belief or who are wondering about this, the answer is nobody. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

WHAT AND WHERE ARE THE INWARD AND OUTWARD-FACING SENSES
What you see, hear, feel and taste in the world of the inward and outward-facing senses are based on the same sensory system. Thus their different names do not mean they differ from each other, physically speaking. But they are different ways of experiencing the same frequencies of nothingness that the brain twists into experiences that seem to prove you are authentic if they are perceived as something.

In the case of the inward-facing senses, the experience of its world is abstract because the brain has not yet processed the frequencies of nothingness to appear as physical elements outside you. Thus it feels as if the world is inside you. But in the world of the outward-facing senses, the brain has completed processing nothing into something, so you appear as someone definitive in a tangible world outside of you.

However, since it takes more than one to experience something, and since there is no more than oneness, any experience is an illusion, whether from the outward or inward-facing senses.

It takes nobody to know where the inner senses are

The abstract world of the inward-facing senses is experienced when time and space are not entirely considered real. Ultimately speaking, though, these experiences from the inward-facing senses are not more real than those via the outward-facing senses because any experience requires more than one, and there is no more than that which is One since it is formless, thus endless. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Thus it is only in the context of the brain’s plot to deceive you into experiencing nothing as something that there is someone to experience an abstract world, lightly processed by the brain from the frequencies of nothingness and a substantial world, heavily processed by the brain from the same frequencies.

The abstract experiences of the inward-facing senses open up when you do not entirely believe in being someone definitive in the world of the outward-facing senses. But there is little left of this belief when you are in the world of the inward-facing senses. Otherwise, there would be nobody to experience the world of the inward-facing senses. In other words, when you appear to be nobody in the world of the inward-facing senses, you have not totally left the belief in being somebody. Nevertheless, you may initially feel scared by the abstractness of the inward-facing senses. But since this fear comes from the belief in being somebody and the empty breath undoes this belief, there is nothing to fear if you connect with it.

Not being someone specific feels as if you are nothing, which seems pretty discomforting until you realise that being empty, you are a vessel for the empty breath, which takes you into the high-frequency world of the inward-facing senses, where glimpses of Enlightenment become the base for experiencing the low-frequency world of the outward-facing senses. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

THE FEAR OF THE INWARD-FACING SENSES
You must constantly concentrate and focus on the world of outward-facing senses to make it appear real. It is the other way around in the world of the inward-facing senses. That is experienced when there is no effort to focus or concentrate.

As long as you intend to appear in a world where there seems to be more than one, it is best to multitask between the inward and outward-facing senses, so you can focus when needed and space out when nothing is required from you.

However, you can only do that if you are willing not to always give your full attention to the structured world of the outward-facing senses but also go with the unstructured flow of the inward-facing senses. That may not seem very comforting, but it is the other way around. In the world of the outward-facing senses, we are always afraid of not making it, whereas we have nothing to live up to in the world of the inward-facing senses.

But we cannot remain in this abstract world if we want to go on in a world defined by time and space. Fortunately, the empty breath is an automatic gear shift between the outward and inward-facing senses, so we go back and forth between them per our present situation.

Alexius Jorgensen have an automatic synchronisation of the inner an outer senses

The empty breath synchronises the outward and inward-facing senses. Hence, we become indifferent to being somebody in the tangible world of the outward-facing senses and thus responsive to being nobody in the abstract world of the inward-facing senses. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Alexius connected with the empty breath when he, as a child, every night devoted himself to the whereabouts of the breath, thus going to sleep in the bliss of nothing. However, others were talking so much about becoming something higher, so the bliss of nothing seemed foolish to bring about.

Thus he hid the emptiness by pretending to be something until he started writing Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings in 2012. But it was not before writing HACK #5, A state of not-knowing is nothing but bliss, he named the way to the bliss of nothing as the empty breath.

THE EMPTY BREATH SYNCS THE INWARD AND OUTWARD-FACING SENSES
Even though you hide from the sun, it remains where it is – likewise, the empty breath. Therefore, if we once connected with it, even briefly, the empty breath remains with us. It does not know we do not feel connected because it is unaware that we believe we are separated beings in the low-frequency world of the outward-facing senses.

Yet, the empty breath senses the stress from this belief, so it synchs our discomfort with the high-frequency world of the inward-facing senses. It does not do it because this world is more peaceful than the world of the outward-facing senses. But because the stress in the low-frequency world of the outward-facing senses does not seem stressful in the high-frequency world of the inward-facing senses.

In other words, since the abstractness of the inward-facing senses syncs with the solidness of the outward-facing senses per what and where we appear to be, none of them seems to dominate. Actually, when synced, they do not look like something but nothing.

Connecting with the empty breath does not require meditation or other techniques based on exclusion, restraint and control. But neither does the connection require you to not be exclusive because if you stand by your unwillingness to be include everything unedited, the uncontrolled energy of suppression ignites a take-off to the empty breath.

But this does not work if you suppress the small involuntary movements brought about by small explosions of thoughts igniting mini take-offs into the empty breath, where you fall into place with the inward and outward-facing senses. Therefore, follow your present, electric-like, physical and mental impulses to get this synchronisation. For example, if the shoulders tighten up, be ready for mental relaxation when they fall. Or, if feeling sad, be prepared to feel physically good from a wholesome breath.

Sometimes, something more extreme is needed to make you realise the senses have been synced, like when Alexius as a child, returned to his home after school, ranged the doorbell with blood on the head, and said, Who am I? He had been involved in an accident and had no idea about what and where he was. That remained, although his parents thought he soon returned to normal. However, being like they expected was something he pretended as he always had done but was unaware of until now. Read about pretece in hack #1.3 Pretending to be someone definitive is liberation, and read here about Alexius’ childhood.

You cannot help the empty breath with the synchronisation. Still, you can prevent yourself from interfering with it, for instance, by doing Nordic Walking for half an hour every day, using RENPHO Eye Massager with Heat Compression before going to sleep and sleeping with far-infrared heating pads.

It is essential to accept that although everything looks like before you were connected with the empty breath, nothing feels the same. At first, it may seem blander because the kicks from especially high experiences in the world of the outward-facing senses are gone. But when you realise that is because, in the connection with the empty breath, you do not split up the duality pairs in separate entities.

Therefore, since high is complemented by low, feeling high includes feeling down, and vice versa, so you feel complete regardless of going up or down. This literally feels like being the waves of the ocean, where you are neither up nor down but in the constant movement between opposites. See hack #4.4 The duality flow goes to non-duality.

There are many ways to appear in a world defined by time and space, but there is no way to leave it because you are not in it. Like within the context of such a world, a dreamer is not in their dream and, therefore, does not return to bed when the dream is over. Likewise, you do not return to the formlessness of oneness when your apparent life in a world defined by time and space is finished because you never left the formlessness of oneness. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

APPENDIX
Since most resist being nobody, they are unwilling to undo the belief in being somebody. But if you acknowledge this, you confirm what you appear to be is make-believe. Thus you have the willingness to undo the belief in being somebody. See also Willingness not to exclude but include undoes the belief in a world where there seems to be more than one.

That does not mean you suddenly are gone, reborn or awakened. The story of Santa Claus does not change when you grow up. What changes is that we do not believe it is real anymore. However, there is one difference between the story of Santa Claus and the story of someone specific in a world defined by time and space. When the belief in the latter is undone or in the process of being it, you are not disappointed. Instead, you feel free to enjoy the story till it ends.

You can take breaks from the story by connecting with the empty breath, thus being in a state of not-knowing. And when not connected with the empty breath, it helps you live out the story by syncing the inward and outward-facing. Since this makes you indifferent to a specific interpretation of something, you are in the duality flow. See hack #4.4 The duality flow goes to non-duality.

NOTES:

A world where there seems to be more than one is to be compared to a movie of oneness played in slow motion

Updated October 25, 2022

It is only in the world of duality, that there appears to be movements, and that there can be more of it. In reality no movements can appear, because everything move so fast that it is one perpetual present as you can see illustrated in these pics of a fan.

In that which is One, everything moves so fast that there is no separation – like in the first image, where the extreme speed of the ceiling fan cancels out separation. However, when the fan is slowed down, there seems to be more than one. Likewise, a world where there seems to be more than one appears to come into being when that which is One is imagined to slow down. The graphic is grabbed from the web and manipulated by Alexius.

In the movie Lucy, Scarlett Johansson demonstrates that when time is speeded up infinitely, there is nothing to see. This is comparable to that which is One. It is so speedy that there is no separation to define something. That is why it is formless, thus endless, and a world where there seems to be more than one is an illusion.

STEPPING INTO THE FULL UNCONTROLLED SPEED OF THOUGHTS AND EMOTIONS, THUS A STATE OF NOT KNOWING
When you want time to process an experience, it is not to understand but shape it into a perception that matches your conditioned view of the world, thus avoiding feeling anxious.

Since it calls for more than one to be aware of something, that which is One cannot be realised. Therefore, if you dot not try to understand this article by taking your time to process it, you are on a timeless journey to oneness.

However, anxiety is preferable regarding not hiding that which is One because doubts prevent you from categorising thoughts and feelings. Hence they run as fast as they can back to their origin of nothing – just like a river hurries back to the sea when not manipulated. Thus you are in a state of not knowing until you welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One or return to the consciousness of being someone in a world where there seems to be more than one. See A state of not-knowing, how to get there.

This is leaves from a palm tree outside my window, that I have processed in a very speedy way to simulate the look of such a leaf, when its frequencies are not slowed down. The simulation though looks far from how speedy the real world is.

This is a leaf from a palm tree that Alexius has processed into a fantasy of what it may look like when not seen in the world of the outward-facing senses but experienced in the abstract world of the inward-facing senses. But he cannot illustrate the formlessness of oneness because it is without separation, so is nothing to see. However, that does not mean it is nothing. On the contrary, since oneness is formless, thus endless, it is everything. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

ONENESS VERSUS A WORLD WHERE THERE SEEMS TO BE MORE THAN ONE
Oneness can be compared to a movie where it is impossible to distinguish anything from each other because it is played so fast that none of its frames can be seen. However, when slowed down, there appears to be more than one frame, wherefore you see a world where there seems to be more than one. See also the previous article.

So if you believe to be someone in the movie of a world where there seems to be more than one, you do not undo this belief by slowness but quickness because you need to speed up the film – or rather, your experience of it. Since that is a construction of thoughts, the faster they move, the more the frames appear to press on, and the less you get the experience of more than one.

The Ukrainian pianist Lubomyr Melnyk plays extremely rapid, intricate patterns of notes, which produce overtones so trance-inducing, that a cascade sound of purity makes you forget, it is ignited by the speed and complexity underneath it.

That happens by itself when thoughts are not shaped into interlocking Lego bricks, used to build an appearance of you as someone in a world where there seems to be more than one. When thoughts are free, they speed up until it is impossible to hold onto them. Thus you enter a state of not knowing from where you return with the slate wiped clean to the awareness of being someone – or have your consciousness terminated by the Enlightenment of that which is One, so there are no experiences to hide there never was or will be anything than the formlessness of oneness.

If you close your eyes after having been deeply involved in something, physically or mentally, you may see a blurred picture of that, like a frame of a movie speeding up. It looks a bit like having vertigo, but if you keep your eyes closed , it will not disturb your normal perception of the world. Instead, its unrestrained energy ignites a take-off into the empty breath.

The same applies when you worry and do not try to pacify yourself but instead step into the full uncontrolled speed of thoughts and emotions. Then a take-off into the empty breath is ignited. See hack #5.1 Uncontrolled speed leads to a state of not-knowing. The grahic is quickly grabbed from the web.

In short, returning to oneness is not about slowing down thoughts, least of all stopping them. In the context of the movie metaphor, you are stuck in a single frame of an empty void, separated from similar ones, if you stop your thoughts. This numbness of stillness is as far as you can get from oneness because it is not deadlocked but free-flowing energy, moving at such a speed that everything is fused into the formlessness of oneness (see the first box).

Therefore, as already said, you undo the belief in a world where there seems to be more than one by speeding up thoughts to the extent that they do not appear to differ. Since that makes it impossible to experience something definable, there do not appear to be any shapes hiding the formlessness of oneness.

This picture and the yellow above have been processed from the same digital photo. Nothing has been added to the images. But the digital info is manipulated differently. It is a bit like when the brain from the same void of nothing renders a world in a world where there seems to be more than one. Read more about that here. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

THE PURPOSE OF EXPERIENCING SOMETHING IS TO FEEL ENTERTAINED
What you perceive as real, imaginative or spiritual is based on the thoughts the brain has combined like it composes a dream, namely turbulent, chaotic, unpredictable and incompatible with your rational perception of yourself and the world. Therefore, if this chaos seems to support your rationale, it is because you, in retrospect, interpret the irrational arrangements of the brain, so they seem connected per your reasoning.

However, it seems weird to the brain that you run around like headless chickens, trying to put it all together per socialism, for example, instead of being entertained by the experiences it creates for you. The brain does not understand your logic. It only cares about entertainment. Like a magician, it likes pulling rabbits out of hats. For example, doing the laundry, you start as normal. But to entertain you, it breaks conformity by drawing you to the window to see a demonstration on the street. Looking at that, you feel amused and return energised to the laundry. That is all. There is nothing special to understand.

On the other hand, if you had planned to do the laundry linearly and tried to stick to that, going to the window would not seem entertaining but disturbing. Hence you blame the brain for distracting you and look for methods to control it, so you will be free to do things your way.

When you do not wish to be in control, thoughts do not seem bothersome because there is no need to arrange them into something confirming you are in charge.

Playing along with the brain’s game, you are rewarded with so much happiness that you eventually have no more to ask for. Read more about that here. Hence that which is One does not appear to be clouded by a world where there seems to be more than one. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

But just like you do not control the course of a dream, you have no say in how things evolve when you believe to be awake. The brain is always in charge. You cannot avoid it if it has scripted you to go to the window. Read more about the brain’s script in hack #4.2 The brain’s script and how to perceive it to feel happy.

That said, you can decide to go slowly or fast to the window. But no matter your choice, the brain has already arranged the subsequent events, like every possibility in a computer game is composed by the writer, wherefore nothing in the plot can be changed.

Astrology is an attempt to disregard the brain and make it look like something else than the brain governs you. The same applies to religious and spiritual doctrines. And the unfortunate belief that physical and non-physical issuess can be mixed. Read more about that in hack #4.3 The toxic mix of physical and non-physical issues.

Nor is it necessary to change anything because when not manipulating the game, the fear of falling is as entertaining as the thrill of rising. Therefore, since there is no need for something specific to make you happy, the belief in being someone definitive is undone while you feel amused.

But being angry is also a terrific way to undo the belief in being someone definitive. When you do not try to control the anger, its unbounded energy ignites a take-off into the empty breath. In its emptiness, your experiences of something are perceived as nothing. Hence there is nothing to uphold the experience of being someone definitive.

APPENDIX:
It is only in undoing the belief in more than one that thoughts should not be organised into specific shapes. Appearing to be someone in a world where there seems to be more than one, thoughts must be set up in particular constructions to confirm your appearance. But maybe not how you expect.

‘What if…?’ versus ‘it is what it is’

Updated November 5, 2022

Spirituality is that which is one. And since it takes more than one to become something, you cannot become spiritual unless you believe it is possible to be and have more than that which is one. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

This article is a continuation of Sadness is a close friend of gladness about the perception ´it is what it is,´ which reveals every experience is dual. Adjusting to twofoldness, you feel complete in a world of duality. Actually so much that you, eventuality, forget to remember duality.

You need to be fully anchored in the belief that you are someone in a world of duality if you want to undo this belief – just like you need to play a game to finish it. Hence this article is written within the context of duality. In such a world, psychological and physical issues do not mix. So if you conclude your worries are caused by something physical or what you feel in your body is caused by your anxiety, you deceive yourself.

Maybe you interpret your physical pain in the foot as fatal and imagine it is linked to a psychological issue from the past. Consequently, the psychological aspect appears to have caused the physical one.

Hereafter, the physical and psychological issues seem to impact each other significantly the more your imagination runs wild on a loop set off by envisioning ‘what if…?’ However, since your reaction to your thought-up outcome is revealed as two-fold when perceived as ‘it is what it is, there is no specific reaction to confirm your alleged cause-and-effect connection between non-physical and physical issues. Hence it is no more and never was except in fantasy. Read more about cause and effect here.

In hack #4.3 The toxic mix of physical and non-physical issues, you can read more about the unfortunate belief that physical and non-physical issues can be mixed.

Therefore, the physical problem can be dealt with materially and the psychological one immaterially. Naturally, this is much easier and less scary when not fantasising about a connection between them – just like daily life feels less complicated when not mixing it with fantasies.

You cannot change physical reality. But if you perceive it so it makes you suffer, you can change that perception to one that makes you feel good.

You probably are diagnosed with vertigo* if you experience the world spinning around you. However, that does not mean the doctor believes your experience is real. On the contrary, you hallucinate because the world cannot revolve around you. Nevertheless, do not deny that is your experience. But deny that it is real. When you do that, the fear goes away. Thus you realise the whirling sensation is only going on inside you. Outside you, the world goes on as usual. Therefore, like when you look at the horizon and experience the earth as flat but correct your experience, you correct that the world outside of you spins around you when you are diagnosed with vertigo. Eventually, you realise that nothing experienced is real, as it takes more than one to be aware of something, and there is no more than that which is One since it is formless, thus endless. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Having vertigo* is a glaring example of believing the experience of something beyond the bounds of possibility is authentic. The world is not spinning around you. Instead, it is an inner adventure made to suppress your horrifying response to a psychological problem. But since it makes it difficult to uphold a definitive image of yourself, you project the whirling sensation onto the world outside you.

That is until you stand by your one-sided reaction to your psychological issue, so it can be perceived as ‘it is what it is.That makes a crack in horror. And out of it comes something which initially feels pretty abstract. But as soon as it has been defined by horror, it settles as its opposite, delight, whereafter it redefines horror. In this interplay, the opposing feelings are not singular but twofold. Thus there is no distinct feeling to prevent you from having the suppressed psychological problem exposed.

Another way of explaining the outcome of the perception it is what it is is that your single-minded response feels like an airball of sadness somewhere undefinable. But when not attempting to explain this vacuum, it feels like it balloons outward in a swelling bubble of gladness. This gladness does not give you peace of mind because it is a singular experience, thus a notion of apathy. But since gladness constantly interacts with sadness, you feel whole in their togetherness. In other words, when not having a singular but a twofold response, you do not feel alone but together in the duality flow. Read more about the experience of the duality flow here.

Should this procedure seems too complicated, and you forget what to perceive as ‘it is what it is,’ you perceive your reaction to this confusion as ‘it is what it is.’ Therefore, since your response is revealed not to be singular but twofold, you are in the duality flow. And since you are in a world of duality, this is what makes you feel fulfilled.**

If your vertigo is not too intense, you could approach it practically by doubting your experience and asking the brain to correct it, so the world does not seem to move around you.

Always perceiving your response to something as ‘it s what it is,’ you do not have to control your reaction to avoid feeling wrong because it is complemented by feeling right. However, that does not mean right and wrong are balanced. Dualism is not about balance because that cancels out contrasts, thus a world of duality (read more about that here). Instead, duality is about the dynamic interaction between opposites, for example, breathing in and out. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

But if your vertigo is caused by a physical problem, such as tiny crystals of calcium that have gotten loose in the inner ear, you deal with it materially. Maybe you consult a healthcare professional or do the Epley exercise. If, however, your reason for doing that is to get it over and done with, you are most likely fixated on returning to things as they were.

The experience of duality is kept together by the constant interaction of opposing elements, for example the past and the future. Acknowleding this, you get the satisfaction of togetherness, whereas you get the loneliness of separation when you split the pairs of duality into specific elements.

Thus you do not feel fine regardless of the outcome like you do when your response to the problem is perceived as ‘it is what it is.’ As aforementioned, this perception replaces a singular interpretation with a dualistic one. In this case, for example, instability/stability, doubt/confidence, fatigue/health or disappointment/contentment. Many other duality pairs could be in play. But you must explore that yourself because this article is about to finish.

If this seems abrupt, and your reaction is astonishment, please perceive it as ‘it is what it is.’ Doing so, astonishment is no longer excluded from its counterpart, calmness. Therefore, since you are in the duality flow, you move on to other duality pairs, such as abrupt/gradual, beginning/ end, or expectation/surprise. If you do not stop the duality flow by avoiding or enhancing one part of a duality pair, you, eventually, are blown away by the interaction of duality. Thus nobody walks a path without distance or direction to that which is everywhere since it is formless, thus endless, namely non-duality.

It is impossible to experience something because it takes more than one to do so, and there is no more than that which is One. But since you are reading this, you believe it is possible to be and have more than one. Hence you must feel what and where you believe in being, to undo this belief.

When you do not hide what you do not like in yourself from your awareness by projecting it onto the body, you become likeable. That is the first step in healing a psychosomatic disorder. See hack #4.3 The toxic mix of physical and non-physical issues. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

APPENDIX
Those who assume they suffer from a psychosomatic disorder have projected politically incorrect feelings like sexual lust, power strivings, greed, envy and anger onto vulnerable parts of the body, in the same way, some project offensive feelings onto the world.

However, since these emotions are abstract, they cannot be hidden in something tangible. Hence the projection of abstract feelings onto something substantial only conceals them from your awareness. Nonetheless, most believe their problems are gone when out of sight. Just like an ostrich, according to myth, believes danger disappears when it buries its head in the sand.

Many of those believing negativity should be avoided like to use crystal stones for healing. But lots of these stones, Amethyst for example, heals by emitting negative ions producing biochemical reactions which create positive vibes/mood and relieve stress.

This myth, though, is not valid. If an ostrich buries its head in the sand, it dies from a lack of air. And you wither from the lack of collaboration between positivity and negativity if you hide the latter from yourself with a head-in-the-sand approach. Consequently, you cannot have the belief in duality undone before your negativity is acknowledged as coupled with positivity.

Exposing your negativity, as described in The YOU finger and the three ME fingers, you feel so vitalised by the duality flow that it eventually blows you away. Hence there does appear to be somebody hiding non-duality.

To be continued in Alexius’ childhood.

*) In the article, Psycho-Physiological Dizziness Syndrome, approaching vertigo as a psychological problem is described in more detail than in this article. It is not in line with the foundation of Alexius’ Duality Hacks, though.

**) Alexius does not write about something he has not encountered himself. So he knows the perception ‘it is what it is’ works in the way he put forth. In his case, though, he does not only use the fulfilment that comes from the duality flow to deal with the world of duality in a relaxed way but as a stepping stone to glimpses of the enlightenment of that which is One. Thus he goes to sleep bathed in light and wakes up in the morning hearing ethereal harmonies. Read more about that here

Where is the psychological zone? [draft]

Updated October 18, 2022

Healing the psychological part of a psychosomatic combo takes no time. All psychological feelings are fleeting when looked at where they are conceived, namely in the mental zone. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

What you believe in being is solely an image in the psychological sphere. It has nothing to do with the body, which feels attacked if you try to adjust it to the image you have made of yourself in the psychological sphere.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The brain fabricates the psychological sphere, the body and the world of duality. But just like you do not drive a car in the factory where it is made, you do not experience the psychological sphere, the body and the world of duality in the brain. Instead, the body is experienced as something substantial in a world of duality. Where the psychological zone is experienced seems more problematic because most try to integrate it with the body.

But that is not how the brain has set it up. The psychology sphere is immaterial, the opposite of the material body. They interact to define each other, like breathing in and out, but they can never be combined. If you accept this twofoldness, the duality flow goes on uninterrupted, and you feel vigorous.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

You feel the waves interact outside your body when you swim in the ocean. However, the body and the waves cannot blend. The water will kill the body if it gets inside it. Likewise, the body can enjoy what is going on in the psychological sphere, but it will fight airiness if you try to integrate it with the solidness of the body.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The psychological sphere is anywhere but in bodily feelings. Thus you are close to it at sleep. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

In Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings, the psychological sphere or zone is also called the mental sphere or zone. It is airy, thus anywhere but in something substantial. So bringing back into awareness the psychological feelings you have projected onto the solidness of your body is not done by facing them in the body but in the non-material mental zone.

In this airy sphere, everywhere around you, a psychological feeling does not seem heavy anymore, like when it is combined with the body. Thus one look at it is enough to make it vanish and reveal its opposite. For example, one look at hate replaces it with love, which, when looked at, replaces hatred. And so they go on constantly interacting to define each other.

That is the way of duality. Everything comes in pairs of opposing opposites so that you can experience a world of duality. Being in sync with this twofoldness, you feel complete in your psychological zone. That is, if you do not eliminate one part of a duality pair by projecting it onto your body or the world or imagining uniting the opposing parts.

The elements of a duality pair can neither be united nor separated because they depend on each other to be defined, like two sides of a coin define each other. Therefore, messing with the interaction of the opposing elements in a duality pair, you break up duality, thus feeling broken.

In other words, you cannot hold onto specific thoughts and feelings if you want to feel complete in a world of duality. Instead, you view them with their opposing elements in constant interaction to define each other. This movement, called the duality flow, makes you feel complete, thus having no need to hide non-physical issues in the body, wherefore it is free to deal with itself materially.

Defocusing is beneficial in not focusing on the body but sensing the airy feelings in the psychological zone. Read more about defocusing in the articles Defocusing cancels out contrasts, thus duality and The four aspects of Enlightenment and how to sample them. And read more about duality pairs and the duality flow in hack #4.4 The duality flow goes to non-duality.

It is also beneficial to remember that although a physical problem can be severe, it is most likely far from as problematic as it appears when combined with psychological feelings. Thus there is no need to worry that much.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The obsession with the look and performance you expect from the body causes much trouble. If you want to be free from that, the belief that you are someone in a body must be undone. However, you can only undo this belief if you approach the body as it is and not as you want it to be. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

To get into the duality flow, you do not use the perception ‘it is what it is’ on a house you see because it is not in the mental zone. Instead, you perceive your reaction to the house as ‘it is what it is.’ Since your response is in the mental zone where it is revealed as twofold, you are in the duality flow.

But maybe you do not feel your reaction in the mental zone but in your stomach, where it has triggered older repressed feelings. Since that is not in the mental zone, you do not perceive it as ‘it is what it is.’ Instead, you perceive your response to your upset stomach as ‘it is what it is.’ Thus having your reaction revealed as twofold.

In other words, it is not about finding what specifically has caused your repressed feelings in the stomach, nor what triggers them or the pattern you compulsively follow. Since the root of the problem is that you are not living by duality, it is corrected by having a twofold reaction.

To do that, you must be aware of your singular response to your upset stomach so it can be perceived it as ‘it is what it is.’ Should you not notice any reaction, there are several explanations. One is that you have already perceived it as ‘I know what it is,’ thus establishing it as a fact and not a feeling. Read more about this mix-up here. Another explanation is that the repressed feelings attributed to the stomach are based on a recollection of psychological emotions faced and forgotten a long time ago. Hence there is not something to relive. Thus nothing psychological to see when you look at the body from the mental zone. Consequently, you have no reaction to perceive as ‘it is what it is.’cx

However, being unable to choose, you may be on your to non-duality because it has nothing to choose from, as that requires more than one. But since it also takes more than one to feel complete, this journey may seem unsettling at first. You might want to blame your upset stomach for that, although it is solely a physical matter in our example that may not go away before you are discarded as someone definitive in the Enlightenment of that which is One. Read about that in hack #6.1 The Enlightenment of that which is One.

There is more about how to use the perception ‘it is what it is’ in You must play the game of duality to hack it. And below, we continue with the subject of this article, which is to have a good time in a world of duality by staying true to the duality pairs. In other words, the purpose of HACK #4 When you begin to live by duality, it is going to end is, at first, not to end the belief in duality but get the best out of it. But when you eventually feel so good about it that you forget it, non-duality does not seem hidden.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Like a strawn is built to deal with fluid and not tangible things, the body is made to deal with material and not immaterial matters. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

The paradox in trying to heal a psychosomatic disorder is that it reinforces the fear of the physical symptoms, thus the impression that psychological and physical issues are linked and result in a psychosomatic illness.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

When physical symptoms of illness trigger psychological memories of endangerment and those two are combined, the physical symptoms are perceived to cause a threat. Hence a fusion of physical and psychological reality seems to have been established. However, the physical and mental reality does not mix except in fantasy. So to heal the problem, the psychosomatic disorder must be split into physical and psychological issues.

Therefore, regarding the psychological issue, you partly disregard the pain in the body because although it is experienced as linked with the psychological issue, the connection is imaginative. There can only be physical pain. Hence the non-physical problem is faced in the psychological sphere. One look is enough because psychological feelings are fleeting when not combined with a physical problem and thus turned into something substantial which seems lasting. In The psychological and physical sphere does not mix, you can read about where the psychological sphere is.

However, the physical pain in the body remains the same when the psychological issue is solved. But maybe not for long because when the physical symptom is not mixed up with a psychological problem, the body’s biological system is free to deal with the physical symptom as it was made to do.

To sum it up: When you appear sick, and your concern about the physical symptom triggers a past sense of danger that you interpret as caused by the present physical symptom, you develop a psychosomatic disorder. But since the body cannot be fused with non-physical issues, this imagined combo cannot be healed until its components are dealt with on its term.

This differentiation between physical and non-physical matters occurs automatically when you are the basic self. It relates to the stream of thoughts coming from the brain as it is and not as it should per a body-mind based on imaginary consistency and meaning.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

You cannot explain the world in this image because the elements of it is mixed in a way that is not possible except in fantasy. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

If you do not feel complete, you have broken a duality pair, which is impossible because, without them, you cannot experience being someone in a world of duality. In other words, feeling incomplete is like having vertigo. It is not a reflection of the world but your state of mind. If you want to correct that, you only have to remind yourself that everything is twofold. You can do that by perceiving your reaction to your distinct opinions as ‘it is what it is’ because that reveals it is not singular but twofold.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

When you do not project psychological issues onto the body, they do not seem to be hidden from your awareness. Hence you can perceive your reaction to them as ‘it is what it is,’ revealing it is twofold. Therefore, since nothing specific seems to make you suffer, there is no misery to project onto the body. Instead, it stays in the psychological sphere. But not for long because it is an airy sphere, so everything there is fleeting.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Brain fog comes from projecting a particular psychological issue onto your body because everything comes in pairs of opposites in a world of duality, so when one part of a psychological pair is imagined to be somewhere else than in the psychological sphere, you feel blurry.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

If pain in the mind is not denied the words that seems to cause the pain cannot hurt, but words projected onto the body – your own or somebody else´s – seems to be able to hurt and confirm the believe, that you are a person to be defined by time and space.

Feelings or thoughts you do not like, you hide from your awareness by imagining they can be dumped in the body. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

Think of a movie as a metaphor for the physical. You cannot see the mental zone in it. It is something you add. Yet, it does not change anything but your perception of the film.

In other words, in the context of the world where we appear, everything is made of matter. However, contrary to a body in a movie, your body has feelings – but only physical ones. If it seems to have psychological feelings, you have projected them onto the body to make it appear more significant or the emotions more substantial. It could also be that you want to hide psychological issues from your awareness behind something physical, as described above.

But just like nothing changes in a movie, regardless of what you project onto it, nothing is transformed in your body when you project non-bodily issues on it. It only seems so if you envision that mentally.

Please be aware this metaphor is made within the reality of duality. In non-duality, there is nothing tangible or intangible because there is no division, like in a world of duality. However, appearing to be in such a world, you must play the polarity game if you want to end it. That does not mean you have to make an effort or understand it. Like in a board game, you move by the dice. And when the meaning you assign to the result is perceived as ‘it is what it is,’ you see your response is twofold, wherefore you are playing the game of duality. Thus able to leave the game. See hack #4.4 The duality flow goes to non-duality.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

In the psychological sphere, you soon learn you are loved as you are because you are created by the brain, and it loves the way it has set you up. That makes the body relax. But since it only understands material matters, this is not because of love but because when you know you are wanted, you do not project unwanted thoughts and feelings onto the body or use it to prove you are worthy.

Notes on meditation, the basic and special self

Updated October 28, 2022

Everything in a world of duality comes in pairs, where the opposing elements define each other. For example, small is defined by tall and vice versa. So if you hate big things and abandon them, you also exclude small ones. Since small things cannot be defined, they become a blurry concept. Likewise, if you perceive yourself to be free from hatred, the love you believe to experience is fake. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

The brain’s function is to create entertaining experiences for the self that it has fabricated. Therefore, if they do not seem to please but frustrate the self, its consciousness most likely perceives them, so they comply with a conceptualised way of living, such as capitalism, socialism, spiritualism, or another ism meant to make the self feel more special.

But since this perception is founded on a particular belief system, it is restricted by its concepts. And since self-discipline does not make you delighted but angry, you do not get the peace the belief system promised. Primarily because the thoughts you have compiled into perception aligned with your preferred belief system do not like being manipulated. Hence, they move faster and faster to escape your domination.

No worries, if you do not try to stop this restless energy, it automatically ignites a take-off into the empty breath, where the slate is wiped clean. Read more about that in hack #5.2 The empty breath and the bliss of nothing. Therefore, since you only have perceptions in sync with the experiences the brain produces, you feel entertained by all of them. Fortunately, you do not have to uphold these perceptions yourself. The brain does it automatically if you do not interfere. Read more about that in hack #4.2 The brain’s script and how to perceive it to feel happy.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Since the basic self is relative to the experiences created by the brain (read more about that here), it is not definitive. Hence the inexact flow of thoughts coming from the brain seems natural. But not to the special self because it wants to be definitive.

To distance itself from the brain, the special self composes a perception in which the basic self has been transformed into someone definitive independent of the brain. However, this twisted perception calls for more thoughts than those few the brain has available to make a perception aligned with the basic self. Thus, the special self meditates to generate more thoughts.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The special self needs alcohol, drugs or meditation to escape the fear of repercussions that manipulating others entails. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Those who perceive themselves as unique beings with the power to do things in their way and pace need many thoughts to uphold their crooked perception. However, the movement of so many thoughts soon becomes so hectic that they try to slow them down via meditation.

That is the official reason. But as anybody who has meditated knows, thoughts multiply when trying to control them. And that is the real reason for meditating because many thoughts are needed to construct a unique spiritual appearance.

 ∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The basic self does not feel disturbed by the flow of thoughts from the brain. On the contrary, it loves this quiet flow because it makes it easy to serve the brain in a laid-back way. However, the special self does not want to serve but to master the brain. Thus it feels disturbed by its thoughts, although, if not interfering, there are only a few.

The frantic flow of thoughts, the special self experiences, has been generated by itself. It has multiplied the simple flow the brain develops to maintain a basic itself into a large group of thoughts from which it can compose a perception of itself as an independent being. Read more about that here. Then, when it needs a break from the multitudes of thoughts, it looks for something numbing like alcohol, drugs or a mantra.

But when it manages to escape the thoughts, it feels horrified because, without all the special thoughts it has generated, the idea of being in control falls apart. Hence there is no self-deception to hide that it depends on the brain. Acknowledging that, it feels embraced by the gentle flow of thoughts from the brain.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Most like to believe they feel upset because of the thoughts coming from the brain. However, the distress comes from the attempt to edit them. When a single thought is sought out from the stream of thoughts, it generates a new stream, and if a specific thought is singled out from that, yet another stream is made, and so on – just like if you split a neutron from an atom nucleus, it sends out more neutrons all by itself, that split and sends out more neutrons. It is a chain reaction.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The special self feels dominated by the natural flow of thoughts coming from the brain. But it is dominated by nothing other than its perception of the flow of thoughts. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

The special self likes to believe that visualising something will make it happen because that seems to confirm it is in control. But if that were true, everybody would win the lottery.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

To think you are in control is like believing you control the TV with the remote. Somebody else has made what you see, and the only thing you can change is your perception of it. That is also how the basic self has been transformed into a special self, namely by perceiving the basic self so that it seems to be an independent being in charge of its own life.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The special self needs constant approval from others to feel alive. To get that, it often establishes a family, which it can manipulate into giving it the confirmation it needs. If that does not work as intended, the special self may pay a psychologist to ratify its uniqueness. But it does not realise how dependent it is on those supporting its perception of being independent.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

When the brain scripts you to feel sexual lust, you will feel horny no matter what you believe in being. However, you will not enjoy it if you try to suppress your sex drive through meditation or tantra sex. Read more about sex here.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

If you perceive yourself as detached from the experiences of the brain, you fool yourself because you need them to prove this.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

When you try to solve absent-mindedness through mindfulness meditation or grounding exercises, you make it worse because you do not know who you are. Only your maker knows that. And since it is the brain, the solution, in the context of believing to be someone, is to be aligned with the stream of thoughts coming from the brain instead of using meditation to distance yourself from it.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Having established itself as someone in charge, the special self needs to meditate or something else that seems to make it able to control thoughts to fool itself into believing that thoughts are not produced by the brain but by itself. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Mindfulness is for those who cannot help exploiting others – just like in ancient times, monks introduced meditation to the barbarians seeking shelter in Ashrams to teach them to control themselves, thus refraining from abusing others.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The basic self has no need to relax or transform itself through meditation, yoga, fitness and whatnot. On the contrary, as its perception is in sync with the stream of thoughts coming from the brain, it is like a stream of happiness. Therefore, since it regularly forgets to remember being someone, it knows there is nothing to transform.

On the other hand, the special self never forgets to remember being somebody. It is always on a mission to become more and be part of something greater. But since that never turns out as expected, it settles for following someone that seems to improve its social status.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

If you need to relax, you are trying to be someone definitive. Because to achieve that, you have excluded the thoughts you find upsetting from the stream of thoughts coming from the brain. Since that does not result in peace but fear of the repressed, you look for something that makes you relax. However, not trying to edit the ever-changing flow of thoughts but perceiving it as ‘it is what it is,’ you are not someone definitive but relative to the present experience produced by the brain. Therefore, since hating what you dislike feels just as exciting as loving what you like, there is no need to relax.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The special self always looks for something to fix. But it rejects the solution that would fix everything immediately, namely not perceiving the brain as an enemy but as a friend (read more about that here). By doing that, everybody becomes a friend because the brain produces the experience of others.

Ultimately, the solution is to undo the belief in being someone who experiences something. As this is the end of being someone, the special self avoids it by meditating or something else that seems to confirm it exists.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

There is no moment without the past and the future. For example, you must deal with both to keep the balance on a wheel like in this photo. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen

The many doctrines of the world easily manipulate those who believe they have free will to become spiritual, socialistic, capitalistic or something else they think will make them independent of the brain.

However, you cannot avoid the brain’s commands – just like a car is in the hands of the driver, you are in the hands of the brain.

So even though the special self perceives the ride per the particular doctrine, it follows nothing changes other than how the special self sees it.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

If you perceive the brain’s basic rendering of you in a capsule of time and space as a bit boring, the special self sets in by offering you more exotic ways of perceiving it, for example, by coming from the heart (read more about that here), or living in the now.

But since all experiences – no matter where you believe they come from or how they seem to be experienced – are constructions of thoughts fabricated by the brain (read more about that here), these special perceptions are nothing but a reconstruction of the thoughts made by the brain.

However, they do not work because they are exclusive and not inclusive. Any experience the brain creates consists of all thoughts popping up at that moment, including about the past and the future. When in sync with the whole bunch, every moment feels perfect.

But this is not how it feels if you eliminate some of those thoughts to adjust to concepts like coming from the heart or living in the now. That makes you feel imperfect.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Like the night excludes the day and vice versa, spirituality excludes consciousness and vice versa.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

What you believe to be can be compared to a smartphone. Although it can do thousands of things, it depends entirely on its operator – just like you do on the brain. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

It feels like you are someone in a computer game just because it seems to make you feel something. But this feeling is based on your interpretation of computer-generated events. Therefore, what you feel is made by you. The same applies to what you feel in the world where you believe to read this. It is founded on your interpretation of the experiences produced by the brain. Consequently, it is you who choose what to feel.

It is also you who interpret experiences as there is a god, higher consciousness, or whatnot. But there are no experiences. That requires more than one, and there is no more than that which is One since it is formless, thus endless.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

When you meditate to exclude something, you establish it as real, otherwise, there is no reason to get rid of it. But anything you are aware of is unreal because it takes more than one to be aware of something, and there is no more than that which is one. Fortunately, you eventually forget what and where you appear to be when applying one or more of Alexius’ Duality Hacks, except for the Enlightenment of that which is One, where it occurs immediately. Hence, there is nobody to be conscious of something.

NOTES:

The basic self is relative to the brain, thus without egoistic intentions

Updated November 23, 2022

What you believe in being does not control the events in a dream where you appear to be, nor are you in it. You are in your bed. Likewise, you are not in a world where there seems to be more than one. Nor are you anywhere else because it takes more than one to be somewhere, and there is nothing but oneness since it is formless, thus endless. Nevertheless, while you believe in being someone in a fantasy world trying to control, it feels frustrating, whereas going with its flow feels good. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

What and where you appear to be in a computer game is designed by the game’s creator. You cannot change that, but you can perceive it in sync with the plot or not. The latter is frustrating, and the former entertaining. The same applies to the tangible world, where you appear to be someone substantial. What and where you seem to be is a fiction made by the brain, and it cannot be changed – only your interpretation of it.

If that is in sync with the brain’s script, you feel entertained by the idea of being someone substantial in a tangible world. It is a bit like going up and down on a rollercoaster. You scream of fear when going down and shout of joy when going up. One leads to the other. It is like two sides of a coin. That is how it is in the brain’s script of duality, where everything comes in pairs.

However, this is not the way the special self sees it. On the contrary, its fundamental instinct is to perceive everything divided into right and wrong. And since going down is deemed wrong, this is not an experience it sees as equally entertaining as going up. Actually, the special self never really enjoys any experience because it is busy figuring out how to feel the next one.

And though that never works out as planned, it insists that everything will get better. But, on the other hand, since the basic self is relative to the brain, every moment is the perfect moment.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The special self enjoys talking about feelings speculatively, »like do I really love this person?«

But it does not love anybody because to uphold its perception of being in control, it avoids feelings of intimacy by being with people who collectively have agreed to focus on the energy of emotions and not their emotional impact.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The special self is about survival, whereas the basic self is about serving.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

When events seem to be going in favour of the special self, it states that it is free of the brain, thus doing everything in its way. But when it fails, the special self blames the brain.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The idea of keeping an open mind excites the special self because it seems to confirm the belief that it is possible to be and have more than that which is One. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Since feelings tend to mess up the perception that the special self has made of itself as an independent and unique being, it wants to keep them at a distance. But as this collides with its need to show off as an open person, it lays the blame for fencing off feelings on its spouse, for example, who it criticises for being closed, thus making it impossible for the special self to express its feelings.

This perceived unapproachability of others is a favourite topic of the special self. And although its feelings are unrecognised, it shows off as an expert on others’ feelings. But what it sees in others is its suppressed feelings (read more about that here).

On the other hand, the basic self rarely feels something specific. It is neither happy nor sad, but happy/sad. Whether it is the interaction of this twofoldness or another, it notices by looking at the world because it is in the eye of the beholder. Or maybe it is the other way around. The basic self could not care less because it is neither inside nor outside.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

If one of the special self’s perceptions is exposed as fake, the special self diverts the focus from itself by making up a new perception in which it is unjustly attacked.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The special self likes to be together with others, but on one condition, namely that others accept its perception of things so that it shapes their relationship.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

By stating »we are all one,« the special self thinks it expresses spirituality. But it is separation that the special self wants to enhance when it says »we are all one« because it is the foundation of this statement.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The special self expects to be more appreciated when recognised as positive. Thus it always excludes what it judges as unfavourable from its appearance. However, it is not positivity but exclusivity that the special self is adored for because exclusion ratifies separation, thus the belief in being important.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The special self always tries to escape something, but it does not know what. Neither will it ever know because there is nothing to escape. It is an illusion that only seems real because it always looks for something to exclude so that it can appear unique. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

When the brain decides you must have a cake and you fight desiring it for ideological reasons but, eventually, give in, you say it was your choice. In this way, you fool yourself into thinking that you do things your way.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Having one’s perception in sync with the stream of thoughts from the brain feels like being wholly absorbed by a TV show after binge-watching it.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Watching a TV show, the brain is in its right element, continually passing remarks and predicting what comes next. When not doubting or altering these comments but going with them, you are also in your right element as a follower of the brain. However, since the brain contains the sum of your most significant memories, and that is what you believe in being, you are not just a follower but a leader.

But not following the brain, you are neither servant nor master but always look for something special you can follow to make you feel in your right element. Or maybe you imagine a specific school of thought will help you eliminate what you assume prevents you from being in your right element. But no matter what you believe in becoming, it only seems to come true because thoughts, like a binary code of nothing, are put together in a perception of yourself that appears to manifest it.

That is not to say that following the brain is more real. Every experience is make-believe – just like in a role-play. However, following the instructions of the game master is part of the fun. Likewise, believing to be someone in a world defined by time and space is quite entertaining when you do not try to add or subtract something from the instructions you get from the brain.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

You can compare the basic self to a cat. It does not plan to do Pilates at a specific hour but, naturally, stretches out when its biological system tells it to do it. Nor does it attend special seminars to learn who it is or how to be transformed into something else. There is no ‘I’ with a need to be anything but a cat.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

If you do not make up a perception that avoids, corrects or replace the brain’s script, you confirm that the brain supplies you with everything needed. Thus you feel safe. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

The dreamer can change nothing in a dream except the perception of it. So though you are not in charge of the events, you decide to interpret something as specifically frightening. By doing that, fear becomes sticky and not just a fleeting feeling like when combined with its counterpart, joy. Likewise, when you insist on being someone definitive.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

If you often feel irritated or confused, you are not in sync with the brain’s script of duality. All feelings come in pairs, and none of them last unless you split a pair into distinct feelings, so you have two independent feelings, irritated and collected, for example, instead of two feelings collaborating to define each other. In other words, if irritation is sticky, you have chosen to separate it from feeling collected.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Within the apparent materialisation of a world defined by time and space, your most defining experiences of being someone are stored in the brain. And as they constitute what you believe in being (read more about that here), you cannot have this belief undone without honouring the brain.

So although the experiences fabricated and stored in the brain are made from nothing, you should not dismiss them as something because they ratify the choice to establish you as someone in a world defined by time and space. If you do not acknowledge your choice, it cannot be undone.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

What you believe in being is based on memories stored in the brain. The experience of something coming from somewhere else is created by it. So there is nothing to serve other than the brain.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Most try to see a specific self behind their different appearances in the world. Yet, there is no other self than the basic one created by the brain. It is without a centre and ever-changing with the fleeting experiences the brain develops. That is why you are bound to feel unfulfilled when you try to define yourself. On the other hand, you always feel fulfilled if momentarily defined by the fleeting experiences produced by the brain. In this flexibility of relativism, any experience generated by the brain amuses you, regardless of what and where you appear.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

You do not enter the stress of being someone definitive when you perceive your response to an experience as ‘it is what it is. Instead, you remain without a centre and focus. Thus you automatically play the role set up by the brain for the present moment. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Within the context of believing to be someone in a world where there seems to be more than one, you do not have a definitive self but one relative to the fleeting experiences produced by the brain. And since the brain automatically helps you perceive your response to its experiences as ‘it is what it is,’ you are satisfied by all of them. Read more about that perception in hack #4.2 The brain’s script and how to perceive it to feel happy.

That is, if you do not override this basic perception with ‘I know what it is.’ In that case, you get frustrated because things do not work out according to your understanding but the brain’s script. Although you can choose between going right or left, for example, the brain decides your decision’s subsequent events – just like in a computer game, where every outcome of your choices is prefixed. Or like a flight to New York continues as planned, regardless of your whereabouts on the plane.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

If one’s perception is in sync with the flow of thoughts from the brain, experiences seem relative. Not being in sync with the flow, they appear definitive – the former results in feeling free, and the latter in feeling imprisoned.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The basic self is not a definitive entity. Instead, it is relative to the brain, thus without egoistic drive. The special self is also relative to the brain but not without an egotistic drive because, contrary to the basic self, it perceives the thoughts from the brain as if it is in charge of them and, consequently, itself.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Being in tune with the present experience created by the brain, the basic self does not perceive itself as definitive but relative to the present. But since the special self believes it handles everything in its way, it perceives itself as superior. It is a wonder, though, how it can go on believing being that when it does not know who it is.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Within the context of a world where there seems to be more than one, the basic self is everyone and no one. And since the basic self is relative, there is no self to doubt. On the other hand, the special self always doubts itself because it insists on being someone definitive.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

If the special self perceives somebody as stupid, it is most likely meant as a condemnation. But when the basic self makes the same perception, it is not to blame somebody but to fend off a relationship that the brain instructs you to avoid. In other words, the basic self respects the signals of the brain. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

For the special self, it is always about what others could have done to make it happy. But the basic self never gets disappointed by somebody because they are not the ones making it comfortable. The brain is. It always rewards the basic self with happiness for perceiving its experiences as they are and not as they could be per socialism or another ism. Thus the basic self has no reason to be disappointed.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The special self is an expert in flattery, which it uses to manipulate others into feeling appreciated. It wants them to become so dependent on the compliments that they are willing to submit to the special self to get more.

However, this does not work on the basic self. It does not need to be approved as someone specific because it does not perceive itself as definitive but relative to how the brain renders the present moment.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

As already said, the self is created by the brain and cannot be changed by you. But that does not mean it is definitive. It is relative to the present experiences created by the brain. »The brain is constantly reconfiguring every second of your life. Even by the time you get to the end of this paragraph, you’ll be a slightly different person than you were at the beginning.« David Eagleman, an American neuroscientist, in The working of the brain resembles drug dealers in Albuquerque.

That is why the more you read Alexius’ Duality Hacks, the more you have applied them.

Being special and depressed, or basic and happy, or nobody and blissful

Updated November 23, 2022

The special self wants to make selected ones feel unique, so they depend on it to be appreciated.

The special self is always looking for errors in its personality to correct them, thus appearing in control. But the basic self does not consider itself in charge of anything. Instead, it sees itself as a servant of everything because it adjusts to the flow of thoughts coming from the brain, which does not know about personal preferences but what is in the best interest of the whole.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Thinking you are in control, you are under enormous pressure. You must always look for thoughts that can be used to compose a perception of your experiences to prove that you, not the brain, are in control.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

You hit the buttons on the remote control to get specific channels on the TV. It is not difficult, so it does not establish you as essential. But if you imagine you are the master of buttons, you appear more important, although what is in the movie you may get is beyond your influence.

As you can see, being the special self is not about what you do but the thoughts concerning it. Especially thoughts in the category of master and servant – like when you think you master the remote control, your coffee machine, children or pets. Or if you have a boss that puts you down, but you still seem to be on top of it by thinking, you could do it much better.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The special self always finds something about others that it judges as wrong. Hence they become the imperfect background for its perfection.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

When the special self perceives to fail, it takes on being secondary. Thus the failure does not seem to have been caused by itself but by somebody else.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

When a ball is coming your way, it´s a natural reflex to respond and following such reflexes is pure fun.

When a ball comes towards you, it is an automatic reflex to respond to it. Automatically following such reflexes is natural and invokes how easy it is to be the basic self. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Sometimes a doctor may check the function of a body by knocking on special points to see if the involuntary movements work. But everything you think that you do voluntarily is automatic. If you believe in being in control, you have worked hard to perceive the body’s activity as generated by you.

To fabricate this perception, you suppress your reaction to the reflexes that do not fit into your idea of calling the shots. Thus you become a person who seems to do everything by your own choice. And others appear to be doing things against or for you by their choice. However, keeping up this impression is hard because you always have to hide that the brain administers everything you do.

Therefore, not hiding that but gladly serving the brain, you are following your nature, thus feeling free.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The basic self’s perception is in sync with the stream of thoughts coming from the brain. Therefore, since feeling the flow of happiness, it does not need to be or achieve something special to feel good. But the special self is out of sync with the flow, so it does not feel its happy vibe. Instead, it tries to create it by looking for special moments in the past to replicate in the present to feel special.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

If the special self discovers that others have interpreted something it did as wrong, it avoids feeling guilty by shouting, »Look what you made me do.«

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The experiences the brain produces to make you feel like someone can, in many ways, be compared to the news that Facebook generates for you. Based on the info Facebook has gathered about you, it collects what its artificial intelligence predicts you wish to see, regardless it is fake or not. However, unlike Facebook, the brain has all your info, so the experiences you get from it are based on you. Thus what you experience is what you are. That cannot be altered – only your perception of it.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

A world defined by time and space is a construction of thoughts compiled by the brain. But since it cannot manifest its fabrication, it has made a self that feels the experiences it produces, so it seems to confirm a world defined by time and space is real, which in return seems to prove the self is a substantial being in a tangible world. In other words, what and where you believe in being is a brain fantasy. Consequently, there is nothing real to confirm the brain’s existence, wherefore nothing is making the fantasy of you as someone in a world defined by time and space – just like nobody is making a dream and nobody is in it.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The special self needs to convince at least one person about how crucial it is, which it achieves by smothering someone with the kind of attention it senses, that is required to make that person feel chosen. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

The special self avoids being part of the whole. Instead, it concentrates on those elements which it can manipulate into admiring it for being unique. Those the special self cannot control, it claims, are dominating. It does all that to escape its self-hatred. When not succeeding, the special self considers letting go of something because that reestablishes it as in control of itself.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Again and again, the special self likes to show off as if it has invaluable insights from extraordinary experiences that can help others get better. However, it is as impossible as helping someone in a dream. Therefore, the special self pieces together an interpretation of its interaction with others that, in retrospect, establishes itself as someone who has helped them get better.

Though it may not succeed in manipulating others into believing this, it often succeeds in convincing at least one person by making that person feel so wanted and loved that it thinks it cannot live without the one making it feel that.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The special self needs to be part of something important, not to feel alone. Thus it checks all notifications on Facebook and makes sure to like what its friends write so that it will like it and be liked by them, and they all are confirmed to be together in a group of extraordinary people. That is, if you believe there is something in cyberspace.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

You cannot escape the hell of the self-discipline required to uphold the perception of being special if you are afraid of losing something. And this you are, as long as you believe to be and have something special.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

If somebody triggers an old feeling of rejection in the special self, it first interprets it as an attack. Next, it justifies feeling rejected by the attack. Therefore, since the feeling seems to originate in the attacker, the special self concludes the feeling does not come from itself. If the perceived attacker exposes this self-deception, the special self points out something from the past to make the attacker feel guilty. Thus the special self is off the hook and can rest assured that it is loved and the attacker is not.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Undoing the belief in being someone special is like stepping into the unknown. And since life cannot be known, you find it there. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

If you justify your unpleasant emotions with something judged as flawed in the world, those feelings are buried in a mental drama of fairness. For example, when you feel angry, it is obscured by the sad story you keep telling about the world to establish you are unfairly treated by it. Hence feeling angry has been removed from your awareness and replaced by a mental concept of being mistreated. This spin also hides, you fear the world will get back at you for blaming it for your negative emotions.

However, this is too shameful to admit. So to save face when you feel attacked by the world, you repeat the story of being unfairly treated to prove you are innocent. But to uphold your innocence, you must continuously suppress feeling selfish, greed, anger and envy, which you do by changing the focus from yourself to others. You keep it at them by pointing out these attributes in them in a way you instinctively know they are ashamed of. You are very good at that, and your friends know it. Nevertheless, they do not expose you because they also look for someone to attack, so they feel off the hook. That is why they recognise it in you.

To hide that you and like-minded ones hate everybody, you meet in special groups where you hug and share in a collectively agreed way of being united. Yet, it is not feelings of love but the wish to hide they hate each other that connects them. Naturally, nobody wants to acknowledge this, least of all do they want to talk about it in the group because if you do not censor yourself to speak and act within the language of love established by the group, or its mentor, you are expelled. And then there is nowhere to go to find relief from your despair.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

You do not appear in a physical world to learn something. Everything you encounter is made from empty space. The only purpose of your experiences, including those interpreted as spiritual and as you as someone, is to feel entertained by nothing. Read more about that here.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

To prevent the image of the special self from cracking, it is crucial not to feel one’s emotions. Therefore, since the special self suppresses them, it becomes so numb that it cannot feel anything. So instead, it invents stories about feelings that fit its self-perception. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

It is the counterpart of a feeling that defines it. For example, hate defines love. Consequently, you must sense your hatred to feel love. But since the special self excludes the unpleasant part of a duality pair, it has no hatred to define feeling love. Therefore, since it does not know what love is, it reckons it feels love when it meets somebody whose psyche or body complies with its ideas of perfection.

Fortunately, this mistake is easily corrected by perceiving the perceived feeling of love as ‘it is what it is.’ That reveals love is coupled with hate and constantly interacting to define each other. Going with this twofoldness, you have a genuine feeling of love regardless of expectations being met.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Nobody is unjustly treated in the brain’s script. It is all about being entertained by duality, which you are when perceiving your reaction to your experiences as it is what it is’ because that reveals your response is twofold. And since you are in a world of duality, this makes you feel complete

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Should you have conditioned yourself to feel relaxed when you hear a specific kind of music, you find yourself in a story where you know you are supposed to feel relaxed every time you hear this music. In other words, what you believe in feeling is a product of your story. And as most of what you believe in feeling rests on stories, you are hardly ever in touch with your emotions but with how you have conditioned yourself to respond to something. That suits the special self very well. It does not want to experience genuine feelings but how it is supposed to feel them when being what it imagines it is.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Even though waves have different lengths of life and may look like they differ, they all consist of water. Therefore, as they all contain the same, none of them has something that can make them more special than the others.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The special self likes to meet new people. However, not to get to know them but to answer their questions. That is a perfect opportunity to re-edit the story it has fabricated about itself to become more exciting. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

If you, in your part of the world, are supposed to feel disrespected when someone is more than 15 minutes late for a meeting, you can, in a rational way, prove to others that you are in the right when you claim to feel hurt. But since rationally explaining a feeling changes it into a mental concept, you do not feel hurt. Instead, you feel victorious because you convinced others you were right about being hurt.

However, the feeling of victory only lasts as long as others are willing to listen to your story of being unfairly treated. No worries. If you perceive the meaning you have assigned to your story as ‘it is what it is,’ nothing in it adds up to something specific. Hence the story cannot be used to justify being unfairly treated, thus not suppressing what you actually feel, which in the world of duality always is twofold. Therefore in sync with duality, you feel so fulfilled that you do not need the satisfaction of being in the right. Read more about made-up feelings here.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The stories you make to hide what you feel sooner or later clash with the actual experiences of the world where you seem to be. Thus you feel very confused.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

In the past, the special self made a hateful story it uses for perceiving the present, so it seems to confirm its past judgment of others as evil. And since the past, therefore, appears to repeat itself, the special self can rest assured in its perception of itself as good and others as bad.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The English language suits the special self because it is built upon the ‘I’ as primary and others as secondary. You do not talk with others but to them. And when you speak about friends and yourself, you always start by mentioning yourself.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The special self likes to hide that it is lonely by having others depend upon it. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

It takes so much time and effort to invent a special self from which selected experiences are eliminated or changed, so you appear to be absent of power strivings, selfishness, greed, anger, negative thoughts or whatever you assume to be politically incorrect. It feels restricting, whereas you feel free when not altering or rejecting something in your perception to shape your image into something special.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Since everything in a world of duality comes in pairs and the special self excludes the apparently dark side of those in its perception of itself to appear as someone definitive, the power of duality is not expressed but suppressed. And even though the special self never feels it has enough energy, it does not correct its perception. It fears it will be devoured by the darkness it has excluded if it includes it.

It is right about being terminated. But only as someone definitive and not in the way it expects. The uncontrolled energy of suppressed feelings ignites a take-off into the empty breath.* In this state of not-knowing,* there is no awareness of being somebody. Hence all that is left is the bliss of nothing from which the self returns to a world of duality with the slate wiped clean. Therefore, since darkness and lightness are perceived as two sides of the same coin that interacts to define each other, it gets the power of the duality flow. See hack #4.4 The duality flow goes to non-duality.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

A state of not-knowing* does not reveal non-duality, but that a world of duality is nothing. The result of this revelation is not that you choose to return to non-duality because that requires more than one. Instead, you return to the consciousness of being someone in a world of duality as a basic self.

Being basic, you sooner or later feel so relaxed that you forget to choose, and since not-choosing does not require more than one, the enlightenment of that which is One is bid welcome. See hack #6.1 The Enlightenment of that which is One.

The basic self cannot be changed, but it can be perceived as special

Updated November 27, 2022

The multiplication of thoughts required to construct an image of you as an independent entails stress, thus a tired body. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

THE BASIC AND SPECIAL SELF PLUS THE ROGUE CONSCIOUSNESS:
You are effortlessly synced with the basic self when not suppressing feelings by holding back the breath or altering its natural rhythm via yoga, for example. And since very few thoughts are required to maintain the synchronisation, they do not seem disturbing but encouraging.

That is, until the consciousness, the brain has installed in the basic self to be aware of itself, decides it knows better than its maker, and plots to change the basic self into a special one. However, shaping and maintaining a special self requires a more complicated construction of thoughts than the simple construction accumulated by the brain to create and uphold the basic self.

Therefore, the rogue consciousness perceives an experience so scary that fear makes you hold back your breath long enough for thoughts to be imprisoned in the gap, from where they force their way out by multiplying themselves. Then, having escaped, they continue their frantic multiplication, which pleases the rogue consciousness because it needs lots of thoughts to make a special self come into being, supposedly free from the brain.

But in a world of duality, all thoughts come in pairs of opposing elements, such as right and wrong, to define each other. Therefore, since you cannot have one without the other, you are never only right but also wrong. However, the rogue consciousness does not want the elements in the duality pairs to collaborate because it wants to set up a self which is excluded from evil, thus only good.

To disconnect the opposing sides in the duality pairs into distinct elements, the rogue consciousness first imagines a judge determining which emotions are specifically good and bad. Then, an executioner punishes the bad ones by excluding them from the new self, so it looks uniquely good and has that feeling of being special. Read more about the below paragraph THE WORLD IS A CONSTRUCTION OF FRAGMENTED THOUGHTS.

When not interfering with the few thoughts, the brain keeps circulating for you to have a continuous experience of being a basic self, you feel together. But you feel alienated if you add thoughts to the construction of the basic self to appear more special. It is like building castles in the sky because you cannot change how the brain has programmed you. Nor is it necessary because if you do not try to correct the brain, it automatically makes sure you perceive yourself in sync with its basic setup. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

But when good and bad are separated, they cannot define each other, as they do in a duality pair. Thus you do not get a genuine but conceptualised experience of good and bad. Nevertheless, that suits the rogue consciousness fine because, with emotions cut off, the special self can mentally decide what good and bad feel like, thus being the master

However, it is hard work to constantly suppress genuine feelings preventing you from using good and bad in a thought-up way – or twisting experiences into a collectively agreed concept of having a good time. Besides, the suppressed emotions mess up the natural flow of the breath, thus the stream of thoughts used to keep the body healthy, wherefore the body seems inflicted with psychosomatic illnesses. So although the special self probably appears as good as planned, it does not genuinely feel good.

On the other hand, the basic self feels as good as bad because it follows the brain’s script of duality, where everything comes in pairs with the opposing elements interacting with each other. Of course, this does not necessarily mean that the basic self has a perfect body, but its problems are not approached as psychological but physical issues. Thus the body knows how to deal with them unless the problems are genetically related.

Fortunately, the happiness of the basic self does not depend on appearance. Sometimes a weak body may even be helpful. For example, Alexius’s poor condition helps him slow down physically and speed up writing Alexius’ Duality Hacks.

In a world where there seems to be more than one, you must always choose something to uphold the illusion of separation. Therefore, not choosing anything, the illusion falls apart. That might be easier to do if you stick to being the basic self because it houses so much happiness that sooner or later, you forget to choose. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

THE WORLD IS A CONSTRUCTION OF FRAGMENTED THOUGHTS
You can compare the formlessness of oneness to one thought, which is pure peace. But peace is over when that thought is divided into two because they need to differ to appear divided. To achieve this separation, one thought as a separate entity, called a Person, looks at another thought called the World. And to uphold the illusion that there is more than one, the division goes on.

The thought called the World is divided into black-and-white aspects. And the thought called a Person is also divided into two, namely a Judge and an Executioner. Thus we have a Person who chooses between black and white experiences. And then a Judge who divides thoughts into right and wrong so the black experiences can be punished for being wrong by the Executioner.

When that is carried out, the Person feels good because now it is off the hook. Someone else is guilty of the mess that separation seems to entail. Read more about projections here. However, since this arrangement sets other divisions in motion, the relief is short-lived. So, again and again, the interaction of Person, WorldJudge and Executioner is used to make someone else look bad and yourself good.

Although this happens as an inner dialogue inside a Person, it is often projected onto something perceived outside of it. For example, what feels wrong inside the World of a Person is projected onto something perceived as evil in the World outside of a Person, such as immigrants, the deep state or communists. The Judge may be projected on a god, parent, boss, or lover. And perhaps society is seen as the Executioner.

That said, the world where we appear to be is not a construction of thoughts or anything else because oneness is formless, thus endless, so there is nothing else than that which is One. However, in the context of the belief that there is more than that, Alexius makes up stories he assumes help realise that they, as everything else experienced, are fictitious because it takes more than one to be aware of something.

The special self keeps returning to Facebook or similar media, where messages and likes confirm its specialness. But, if not continually established as unique, it starts doubting itself and thus loses its sense of control, which it fears more than anything else. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

BEING IN SYNC WITH DUALITY OR NOT:
What you believe in being is a construction of thoughts compiled by the brain into pairs of contrasting elements, such as happiness and sadness, to define each other. When in sync with the ongoing interaction of opposites, you do not want to separate happiness from sadness because the interaction makes you feel complete.

But you are not in sync with duality if negative thoughts are judged as wrong, thus excluded from the perception of yourself to appear solely positive. Without the awareness of negativity in yourself, there is nothing to define your positivity. Hence, nothing will turn you on – like you cannot turn on a TV without the negative pole in the electrical wire.

Being out of sync with duality occurs when the consciousness that the brain has installed in the self goes rogue and makes a special perception of the present moment where the elements in the duality pairs do not collaborate to define each other. Instead, they separate into individual aspects, so you can decide to only feel love for someone and hate for another, for example.

However, since love is not defined by hatred anymore, you do not feel genuine love but a speculative version of it. The same applies to hate. And since you believe your single-minded notions are real, you clash with the world because it consists of duality pairs. You can correct that by going with the interaction of love and hate. This you do by perceiving your single-minded notion of either love or hate as ‘it is what it is’ because this reveals love is in hate and vice versa. But instead of accepting that, you probably accuse the brain of ruining love. But you are a product of the brain (read more about that here), so your disapproval is a condemnation of yourself.

When the brain wants you to run, it uses the biological system to signal the body. It starts running regardless you are a basic or special self. The basic self, as always, feels entertained by following the brain’s commands. But the special self loathes the brain and its simple ideas of entertainment and thinks it knows better. But all its totalitarian ideas are restricting, thus not entertaining. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

TEMPTED TO BECOME SPECIAL:
When the consciousness of the basic self goes rogue, it responds like a spell checker to the calm stream of thoughts coming from the brain. It automatically interprets it so the self, which initially was made and administered by the brain, seems self-made, thus independent of the brain.

But since the rogue consciousness interpretations are single-minded, thus out of sync with duality, thoughts do not feel at home. Therefore, they multiply and move about so rapidly that the calm stream of thoughts from the brain becomes a wild one full of ideas for getting more.

At first, this turbulence seems scary to the basic self, but the rogue consciousness convinces it that it is for the best because now there are so many thoughts that you have endless possibilities. Besides, when you become special, you are in control so that you can arrange everything your way.

Therefore, most persons gladly welcome the corrections the rogue consciousness does to transform them into a unique self with unlimited ways of realising themselves, contrary to the basic self, limited by the brain, that it blindly follows.

But the rogue consciousness did not tell you that you must spend many years in school learning to make order out of this mess by labelling everything so you can follow predefined ways of being unique.

Both the basic and the special self is a construction of thoughts. But whereas the basic self is simple, the special self is a complicated construction made to sow discord by insisting on being special. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

In other words, appearing independent and special is complicated and exhausting, whereas not being someone specific but relative to the brain’s script is uncomplicated and vitalising. Therefore, if you want to have a good time while appearing as someone in a world of duality, use one or more of Alexius’ Duality Hacks to enter a state of not-knowing. It wipes the slate clean of all misperceptions, thus restoring the basic self. Since it is relative to the brain, it is in sync with its experiences as they are and not as they could be if you were a special self following a specific philosophy

Therefore, as the basic self, you have fun going with the duality flow, contrary to the special self, which is imprisoned by specific concepts of being positive or whatnot. Read more about that here. That said, once having been established as a special self, you probably keep going back and forth between that and the basic self until you do not need to feel something specific to feel happy because that is impossible as the basic self. It only knows the fullness of twofoldness.

Should you not want to play the game of duality, thus having the belief in it undone, it is not necessary to be the basic self. Still, it is much easier because, not being special, suddenly you forget to remember what and where you are, which is the invitation the Enlightenment of that which is One waits for. Read more about that here.

PS: Since you are bound to follow the brain’s commands physically, your life progresses the same whether you are the basic or special self. It is only mentally that it seems different.

CANCELLEX In a world where there seems to be more than one, there is no Enlightenment of that which is One, only glimpses of it

Updated November 1, 2022

When you believe there is more than one, everything requires more than one

Updated October 31, 2022

It takes two to define a person in the world.

It takes two to be different, but it also takes two to see that differences do not make a difference. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

It takes two to become enlightened. »When your eyes become single, your whole body shall be full of light«, Jesus said. And it takes two to appear as someone in a world where there seems to be more than one.

It takes two to make a difference. Both the positive and the negative pole is needed to produce electricity.

It takes two to see that the apparent differences do not make a difference.

Everything in a world where there seems to be more than one requires the involvement of at least two. You cannot appear to be someone without being defined by something else, and there cannot be a world without someone to define it.

In reality, there is no more than that which is one, but since the world where you appear to be is based on the idea that it is possible to be and have more than One, to get back to reality, you have to start as if you are more than one. See hack #7.1 Alone together, we go home.

The person you appear to be in the world cannot be in the virtual world of a game like Super Mario, But you pretend to be there. However, that does not make the virtual world – or your appearance there – real. On the contrary, you are not what and where you pretend to be. Similarly, appearing to be someone in a world where there seems to be more than one does not make it real because being there is something you pretend. And no matter how good you are at it and whatever you pretend, it is not real, including being spiritual. And no appreciation will make you anything other than what you already are in the world where there seems to be more than one, namely an illusion. Think about a game like Monopoly. Going to prison or owning many houses are equally illusionary. No matter the colour of your car, you are not there. It only appears so – likewise in a world where there seems to be more than one.

To not focus on anything in particular.

To welcome the Enlightenment of that which is one, you must overlook the apparent differences in a world where there seems to be more than one. However, not by perceiving them as one. But if you see them one by one without focusing on anyone, in particular, their apparent differences make no difference. Therefore, since they become the same, so do your eyes. Having just one eye, also called the third eye, is the invitation to the Enlightenment of that which is One looks for.

It is impossible to enter the Enlightenment of that which is one with two eyes. They must be closed so that the dimensional world experienced with the outward-facing senses is gone. Well, it is not the eyes that must be closed, but your attention towards the world you believe they see.

However, there is literally nothing to see in the Enlightenment of that which is one. If there is, you have not been blinded by the brightness of its light but fenced it off. Thus all you get are glimpses of it, often confused with the Enlightenment of that which is one.

So many search for their real self. But since it requires more than one to find something, and there is no more than that which is one, what you discover is unreal.

Nobody knows what the Enlightenment of that which is One is, nor Alexius, as it requires more than one to experience something. Nevertheless, many people talk about it and show off as if they know what it is to be acknowledged as someone definitive. Therefore, since the belief in being someone definitive is the cause of suffering, their teachings of light bring about darkness.

It is very beautiful with the light of the sun coming through the clouds, but it has nothing to do with enlightenment. It is just another sight in the world, that is just as virtual as the so-called egoless states the gurus and their followers are dreaming about.

It is stunning with the light of the sun coming through the clouds, but it has nothing to do with Enlightenment. It is just another sight produced via the outward-facing senses to make you so excited that it seems real although it is make-believe. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

The idea that Enlightenment results in a person who is peaceful, loving, compassionate, patient, humble, open-minded and at one with everything is an idle hope of becoming a superior being who is more than that which is One.

But the Enlightenment of that which is one does not bring about anything. Results are of a world where there seems to be more than one, and the Enlightenment of that which is one does not know more than one. Therefore, one who is to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One has not been changed or transformed. Everything is the same, except that a world where there seems to be more than one is not perceived as real.

If you need time to process this article, you consent to the belief that it is possible to be and have more than that which is one because processing something, as well as taking your time, requires more than one.

APPENDIX:
The visual aspect of the Enlightenment of that which is One can be compared to closing all apps on a computer, including the one simulating the desktop. Without the appearance of a desktop, there is nothing to hide the light used to emulate something on the screen.

The aspect of Enlightenment of that which is One that Aum, Sohang or The Word of God symbolise can be compared to the humming from the fan or the engine in a computer. You can hear this vibration all the time – especially if you do not look at the screen or listen to the sounds of the world simulated by the computer.

Though the light behind the desktop and the distant humming are the means for fabricating a simulated reality on the computer screen, they are not part of it, so if you want to see or hear what is powering the world that appears on the screen, you must do what is needed to empty it. That is a metaphor to say that you must undo your experience of something, so they do not seem to hide oneness is not somewhere specific but everywhere since it is formless, thus endless.

NOTES:

  • As a person in the world, Alexius is not religious, nor needs to follow so-called spiritual persons or philosophies. However, it is as illusionary to follow somebody as not, so feel free to do whatever seems beneficial in undoing the belief that there is more than that which is One.

‘The Enlightenment of that which is one’ cannot be seen

Updated November 26, 2022

The eye cannot see this pic. It is registered as light divided into red, green and blue by three taps in the eye. This info is sent to the brain, where the same organ process both so-called reality and imagined or virtual reality The three colors are mixed in such a way, that it appears to be an image of someting solid in the world, that can be defined by time and space, even though almost 99% of matter consists of empty space.

Since it requires more than one to understand something, you call off the Enlightenment of that which is One if you try to process it. And since it also takes more than one to get a second chance, this is out of the question. But, since oneness is formless, thus endless, you have never left it. Therefore it is only the belief in separation that needs to be undone. Fortunately, the Enlightenment of that which is One does that right away. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

The Enlightenment of that which is One cannot be known because it takes more than one to be aware of something. However, having been in a spiral of colours exploding into a bright white light, opaque and formless, one may vaguely remember that it abruptly extracted the experience of being someone definitive and left it at the threshold of a black hole,* whereafter nothing gracefully fell through a neverending void into that which is one.

From the above, you may get the impression that the Enlightenment of that which is One is a process over time. But that is not so – it happens simultaneously, or rather, it does not occur because it requires more than one for something to happen. That is why, when returning to a world where there seems to be more than one, it may take a long time to grasp you are to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One.

The reason for that could also be that the Enlightenment of that which is One has nothing to do with the merry-go-round stories made up by doo-gooders – based on speculations and second-hand knowledge about awakening, connection, consciousness, inner peace, stillness, heaven and whatnot.

You do not experience anything because what you believe to be in a world where there seems to be more than one is abruptly undone. You never were in such a world, nor anywhere else, because it takes more than one to be somewhere, and there is no more than that which is One since it is formless, thus endless.

Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings offers no hope because that depends on time, which is an illusion.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

There is no way to the Enlightenment of that which is One, especially not of restraint or following certain steps. Going there is a way of uncertainty, one beat at a time.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The Enlightenment of that which is One is not a way back to oneness because you have never left it. This is why nothing goes back through a black hole into the formlessness of oneness. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

To get a sense of the Enlightenment of that which is One, you must empty yourself for all ideas about it. And then again, doing so will not help because it enhances the belief that you are someone definitive. And believing that is what hides the Enlightenment of that which is One. Therefore, do not try to implement this article in your way of seeing things, but use it to have your belief system undone.

The Enlightenment of that which is One can be compared to being a door to oneness. But just like a door in a house has nothing to do with the house, the Enlightenment of that which is One is not oneness. It has no doors because it requires more than one to have something. Nor is there a door in a world where there seems to be more than one, as there is no more than that which is One.

No worries. That which is you is not in a world where there seems to be more than one. Just like – in the context of such a world – you are not in the world of a computer game, even though it may feel so because of the reactions to the game. These reactions, however, are not caused by the world in the game – it has no such power – but by how you choose to perceive it. In other words, the experience of being someone in a virtual world is an experience fabricated by yourself.

Likewise, the experience of being someone in a world where there seems to be more than one. And then again, this is not so. That which is you is not imagining being in a world where there seems to be more than one because it takes more than one to be somewhere, and that which is you is not anywhere because it is the formlessness of oneness.

Nevertheless, you experience being someone in a world where there seems to be more than one for some unexplainable reason. So, in the context of this experience, the Enlightenment of that which is One is the door out of it because it undoes all experiences.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Seen from the world of duality enlightenment, which represents the formlessness of non-duality, is very boring compared to all the excitement duality seems to offer.

The formlessness of oneness is very dull compared to the excitement of a world where there seems to be more than one – at least as seen from the perspective of such a world. Yet, none of the experiences in such a world last, so believing to be someone there, you can never get enough. But that is not a problem in oneness because there is no more than One. And since it is formless, thus endless, it always lasts. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Meditation may result in the experience of something you interpret as infinity, purity, divinity or unity. But you will not experience the Enlightenment of that which is One by meditating or doing something similar. It cannot be brought about because that takes more than one.

Even if you could cause the Enlightenment of that which is One, you would probably hold back. Perceived from a world where there seems to be more than, oneness is incredibly dull. There is nothing to see or feel or look forward to. Thus it is not very appealing compared to the excitement you get in a world where there seems to be more than one from falling in love, having sex or whatnot. However, it has a prize, a constant feeling of failure because no matter how much more you seem to become or have, you are bound to lose it.

But suppose the Enlightenment of that which is One is what you long for. In that case, it is best to be so disinterested in achieving something that you pay no attention to having the belief in being someone undone by a highly bright light, wherefore nobody gently falls into the formlessness of oneness.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The purpose of feelings is to make you feel more than that which is one, although it is formless, thus endless, wherefore there is no more than one.

In other words, feeling something is an illusion. The same applies to experiencing something. That is why the Enlightenment of that which is One neither can be felt nor experienced.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The Enlightenment of that which is One does not change anything – except that you know everything experienced is fake, including god, love, ego, and whatnot. When you know that, you are free to step on it and play the game of being someone in a world where there seems to be more than one.

The easiest way to play the game is to pretend to be in it because where you pretend to be, you are not. Thus, you have fun appearing to be what you are not. Read about that in hack #1.3 Pretending to be someone definitive is liberation.

When the sun is shining sharp and bright, it reveals the state of a window. However, this is contrary to the Enlightenment of that which is One. Although it can be said to be brighter than thousands of suns, it reveals nothing. There is not something to see and no need to see anything. Not because the light fulfils you, but because it undoes the belief in being someone definable. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Since the world generally focuses on seeable effects, the visual aspect of the Enlightenment of that which is One is the most known. But the other facets also make you forget to focus on something definable, so you, as nobody, are drawn into the formlessness of oneness.

Whatever aspect of the Enlightenment you naturally are attracted depends on your preferences as someone definitive. The goal, though, is not to see, hear, feel or taste the Enlightenment of that which is One. It cannot be experienced since there is no more than that which is One, and it takes more than one to experience something. For the same reason, there is no goal.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Believing the world – including astral planes and whatnot – is real can be compared to sitting in a cinema, where you project yourself onto the world that appears on the screen. Thus the reactions to your projections seem to come from the screen instead of you. Hence you believe in experiencing a real world there.

The Enlightenment of that which is One is to be compared to a sudden crack in the roll of the film with the movie you project yourself onto. Therefore, since the experience of this world is replaced by a bright white light, there is not something to project yourself upon.

In the context of this metaphor, what is real is not the bright white light but the source that is projecting it, namely the movie projector, which is neither in the world on the screen nor the bright white light, although it is the power making it possible for something to appear on the screen.

However, since this metaphor is part of the movie called The World, it is, of course, as fictitious as everything else in that movie. But since there is nothing unreal, there is no movie, thus nobody watching it. Hence the movie metaphor is just a way to explain what cannot be described. If it could, the film would be real, and somebody would be in it.

That is why so many want to know how the world was created and why they are there. If it can be explained, they can rest assured they are real. However, in reality, there is nothing to explain because there is no more than that which is One, and it takes more than one to explain something.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The Enlightenment of that which is One cannot reveal itself if you want it to change or expand your consciousness because it takes more than one to be aware of anything. But since glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One are samples, thus incomplete, you can be conscious of that. See hack #6.2 The inward and outward-facing senses, the Enlightenment and its glimpses.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

There seems to be separate appearances to be defined by time and space in the dream called The World. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

If you believe in seeing separated appearances defined by time and space, you see what you think you are, someone definitive separated from others. In other words, you believe that it is possible to be and have more than that which is One, thus fencing off the formlessness of oneness.  Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

In a dream, there is no way to prove it is unreal because there is nothing real in it. Regardless of the distances and the apparent different persons in a dream, there are no distances and no differences. Everything in the dream plays out in the dreamer, although none of it is in the dreamer or anywhere else. The same applies to the experience of a world defined by time and space, except nobody experiences it.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The experience of seeing something can only occur in a world defined by time and space. In such a world, the formlessness of oneness appears to be hidden behind the experience of something.

Nevertheless, some people use selected pieces of something to create a state of unity. But like everything else in a world defined by time and space, this special state is based on excluding something upsetting or disturbing, thus enhancing the belief in separation. In other words, the unity of their special state is fake. The only true unity is that which is One. It can neither be created nor broken, as it takes more than one to do so.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The Enlightenment of that which is One is a moment that starts in the dream of something. Yet, at the same moment, the dream is over. Since you were not in the dream, you have not awakened to a new awareness. On the contrary, there is no consciousness of you ever having been someone specific in a world of something. There is just one bright light – so intense that there is nothing to see and nothing to be.

The light sucks what has been stripped free of the belief in something through a black hole into the formlessness of oneness. That is, if there are no leftovers of the belief in something. In that case, you will think you see something to get back into the world of something.

Therefore, those who talk about exciting experiences of enlightenment have not, as nothing, been sucked through a black hole into the formlessness of oneness. They held onto their belief in something to fence off the Enlightenment of that which is One and instead have glimpses of it because they can be experienced as something you see, hear, feel or taste. But since it requires more than one to experience something, the glimpses are not the Enlightenment of that which is One.

For someone who is fed up with the experience of something, it is frustrating only to have glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One. But for those who love to experience something, it is perfect because the glimpses can be used to pump up lecturing or writing books about the experience of a vast empty space full of pure love, consciousness, bliss, or something else, that makes them appear to have something better.

But having something has nothing to do with the Enlightenment of that which is One because only someone definitive can have something.

A person cannot welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One. But a person can momentarily forget what and where it appears to be so that there is not something definable to hide the Enlightenment of that which is One. If a person just partly forgets what and where it appears to be, the Enlightenment of that which is One has not been welcomed. Instead, such a person get glimpses of it. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

One who is to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One knows nothing. But the same applies to those not to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One. However, they do their best to to show off as if they have a special insight. In contrast, one who is to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One has no need to do that. There is no more than that which is One, and it takes more than one to know something. so knowing anything is an illusion.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Who is looking for food but those with an empty stomach. And who is looking for Enlightenment, but those who feel empty. Unfortunately, most try to fill this emptiness with something pleasurable, like bliss. But nothing can fill this emptiness because it is a fantasy based on the belief that you are someone specific in a world defined by time and space, and that which is you is the formlessness of oneness, so that is not possible.

That is why you are bound to feel empty if you believe in being someone specific. Therefore, the solution to feeling empty is not to fill up the emptiness but to undo the belief in being someone definitive.

Someone compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One never asks, »who am I?«because there is no more than that which is One, thus not a world where there seems to be more than one. Consequently, someone compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One has no need for communities, discussions, so-called interesting exchanges or dialogues, sending love or anything else to make it appear as if there is more than one.

*) It may not be part of the Enlightened memories that the data of being someone is left at the threshold of a black hole. Perhaps it is a conclusion made in retrospect.
