What is unreal is right in front of you

Updated June 15, 2023

A world of duality can be compared to what comes out of the box in the Augmented Hand Series. When you stick your hand into it, an app changes the hand on the screen, and the brain fools you into feeling it happens to you.

DUALITY IS A FANTASY
Even though a fairy tale has many elements that symbolise something from the physical world, it does not contain anything material. Everything is a fantasy, where the characters are bound to the writer’s script, which they can never leave because it is not real.

A world of duality can be compared to a fairy tale. It is not real and will never be, whether you believe in living in the now, coming from the heart or whatnot. The Augmented Hand Series Flong by Golan Levin and Collaborators illustrates this through interactive art.

In the Augmented Hand Series you can watch your hand take on a life of its own. Here your fingers grow to varying lengths.

In the Augmented Hand Series, you can watch your hand take on a life of its own. Here your fingers grow to varying lengths.

When you put your hand in a small box –  the first animation – you see the hand moving on a screen beyond your control. Instead, it is controlled by a preprogrammed app to change the length of your fingers.

The small box and the screen on top create a disconnect between what the eye sees, the body feels and the brain processes. Some even look into the box to check if what they see on the screen happens to their hand because, even though the hand on the screen is not part of them, it feels as if it is.

It is impossible, but yet you feel it is happening.

These movements are not possible. Yet you feel it is happening to your hand – like you feel duality is happening, although it is impossible because non-duality is formless, thus endless, so there is nothing that requires more than one.

Likewise, in a world of duality, nothing happens in it. But it feels so because, metaphorically, you have put non-duality in a small box, where an app called the brain twists it into a world of duality. However, since it is an illusion, it is only the belief that it is real you need to undo, for example, by interpreting every experience of duality as a symbol of non-duality. That cancels out differences, thus separation, wherefore there is no duality to distract you from non-duality.

THERE IS NO SELF
The belief in being an individual in charge of life can be compared to a machine that thinks it has a self, deciding what to do. However, a machine has no ‘I’, self, or soul. It is all mechanics, and even though the device may have been built with AI (artificial intelligence), all the thought combinations it seems to make are preprogrammed associations. Nobody has made them and sees what the machine concludes from them.

If you are visual-minded, you may get an Aha! Moment seeing the below screen dumps from an article in Wired. They illustrate how a machine with AI ‘sees’ the world. It simply registers data or frequencies per its program. The captions are not from that article but are written by Alexius.

The machine has been programmed to perceive this point of frequency as cute, so it searches its database for an image to illustrate it.

Then the machine translates another point of frequency as eyes and concludes it sees the cute image it found in its database.

Based on past decisions, the machine reckons the cute image is a dog.

But it also seems to see a female. Thus it has to search its database to know if it is the female or the dog that is cute so it can fabricate the appropriate feeling.

From non-duality to duality and back

Updated June 21, 2023

It is impossible to get something from the bottles in this image because they are simulated. The same applies to a world where there seems to be more than one. It is forged because there is no more than that which is One since it is formless, thus endless. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

THAT WHICH IS ONE
… is endless because it is formless, thus sizeless, taking up no space.

Schräge Parallelen

Nothing in a world where there seems to be more than one is what is seems. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

Since there is no more than that which is One, you have tricked yourself into seeing a world where there seems to be more than one. You probably also have tricked yourself into seeing the red lines in this image as crocked, even though all lines are straight, and it is the blue boxes that are offset.

WHAT IF THAT WHICH IS ONE …
… could be divided into more than one? It is impossible. Firstly, because it is formless, secondly, it takes more than one to divide it. Thirdly, its speed is infinitely fast, so there is no time and space to differentiate anything, thus nothing to see. However, in fantasy, everything seems possible. So if you imagine cutting down oneness’ speed until it is so slow that there appear to be separated appearances in the distance, you have a world where there seems to be more than one.

Screen Shot 2014-11-28 at 16.21.07

The still photo of Scarlett Johansson in ‘Lucy’ is grabbed from the internet.

In the movie Lucy, the director demonstrates, via Scarlett Johansson, that if you speed up time infinitely, any object in motion disappears – or in the context of this article, becomes one. Concerning a world where there seems to be more than one, it is the other way around. Oneness has been slowed down until it seems to contain different objects. Read more about that here.

One of these separated appearances is perceived as you. But you and everything else are as flat as this article’s images because formlessness has no dimensions. However, in your fantasy about more than one, you have eyes that function like AR (augmented reality) glasses. They modify reality and build a virtual layer on top of it, so it appears to get smaller and bigger when you look at oneness from different angles and distances.

Graphic by Clive Gifford. The book ‘Eye Benders: The Science of Seeing and Believing’ written by Clive Gifford explains, the brain sees movements that do not exist, and it also fabricates images to fill what it perceives as gaps in the world. Read more about that here.

Therefore, since it seems to exist in time and space, you conclude you are someone substantial in a tangible world where there is more than one, thus many possibilities. Read more about the illusion of seeing in Eyes do not see.

You probably experience, that you see two differently sized orange circles in this pic, because that is what the part of the brain, that measures perspective and scale, will tell you. Due to the blue circles it appear as they are not the same size. But you are wrong. Each orange circle is the same size. You are also wrong, if you think persons are different, and that they are in a world of duality. It is an illusion. Everything is sizeless.

You probably experience two differently-sized orange circles in this image. But that is an illusion created with the blue circles. The two orange circles are the same size. You are also deceived if you experience a world of different-sized objects because reality is formless. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

When writing this, Pokémon Go was the most well-known example of AR. However, many people live in augmented reality, not only when playing Pokémon Go. They look at their smartphone, where a layer of digital info flows on top of the physical world, while they hear music from cyberspace in one ear and listen to friends from the physical world in the other ear.

This image consists of pixels added in different combinations to make you see something that is not there. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Integtating the body with an imagined god or superworld has been a longtime human fantasy. Imaginative fiction, transcendental meditation, aura-transformation and psychoactive drugs can be seen as early efforts to trick you into assuming, the body can be integrated with something immaterial. VR (virtual reality), as envisioned by Oculus Rift, may be able to fool you into beliving such a blend is real.

THAT WHICH IS ONE IS REPLACED BY MORE THAN ONE
As mentioned above, imagining seeing a world where there seems to be more than one is like using AR (augmented reality) to mix real and unreal. But to completely erase traces of reality, AR is replaced by VR (virtual reality), where an illusion completely replaces reality.

In a virtual world everything seems possible. It feels very exciting, even though it is an illusion and what you get is nothing disguised as something. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

»This (virtual reality) is a state where you are totally transported into another world and immersed in the digital interactions of the virtual environment you’ve entered … the feeling that you are truly visiting another space that is wholly distinct from what you can see and hear without the platform … a platform like Oculus Rift is an alternative to reality, supplying entirely new, virtual experiences: true VR.« From Wired. Oculus had not been bought by Facebook writing this.

But why do we deceive ourselves into seeing a world with more than One? Probably because there is so much to experience in a world where there seems to be more than one. But the excitement comes with a price because everything in such a world – contrary to oneness – comes in pairs. Hence you cannot feel excited without feeling depressed, for example. See Duality Hack #8 The duality flow goes to non-duality.

A person always finds ways to deny or change appearances that are judged wrong so that it seems to have become better. But no matter how happy it makes you feel, its contrast, sadness, cannot be escaped because happiness is defined by it. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Most assume they can surpass this twofoldness and be in one state of mind by having one spouse, one work and so on. Others recollect memories of oneness. But they are altered by the desire for more than one, so they do not bring one state of mind. Besides, you are either at one or not. And since it requires more than one not to be One, it is impossible unless imagining to be in a world where there seems to be more than one.

But as already said, twofoldness, the interaction of opposing elements, is the reality in such a world. For example, you can only read this article because the black letters are contrasted by their opposite colour. Without contrast, there would be no article to see.

And since you cannot recognise love without hatred, eliminating hate does not result in a singular state of love but an imitation. Therefore, since excluding hate makes you feel phoney, you try to make love purer by excluding selfishness to get unconditional love. But again, what you get is feeling wrong – and on it goes.

You feel incomplete when you avoid twofoldness to establish yourself as someone definitive. But you feel complete if you go with the interaction of opposing elements. Thus, eventually, you have no need to exclude something to become someone definitive in a world where there seems to be more than one to hide the formlessness of oneness.

Believing a world where there seems to be more than one is real is comparable to sitting in a cinema, where you project yourself onto the world on the screen so that it appears to have an effect on you, thus appearing real.

Alexius knows there is nothing to hope for because there is no more than that which is One, and it takes more than one to hope for something. Thus he has nothing to fear. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

THE ENLIGHTENMENT OF THAT WHICH IS ONE UNDOES THE BELIEF IN MORE
One who is to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is one knows that there is no more than One, wherefore a world where there seems to be more than one is fake. Nobody else knows that. What they believe to know is based on speculations about their existence in a world where there seems to be more than one. Thus it enhances the belief in being there instead of undoing it.

A world where there seems to be more than one can be compared to the movie roll in a cinema. Suddenly it breaks, and there is nothing but bright white light on the screen. Read more about this metaphor here. That is the Enlightenment Alexius is to be compared to. But, unlike in the cinema, it is not something you see because it takes more than one to be aware of something – more about that in Duality Hack #10 The Enlightenment of that which is One.

Whether you experience this image as about love, sex, or surfing depends on how you have conditioned yourself. But whether that makes you happy or sad, it does not seem to make a difference if your response is perceived as a symbol of oneness. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

TO SEE SYMBOLS OF THAT WHICH IS ONE IN THAT WHICH IS NOT ONE
Even though you have been told that a world where there seems to be more than one is an illusion, your conditioned belief in more than one compulsively makes you see more.

Fortunately, you can undo this belief in a laid-back way by perceiving everything you see as symbols of that which is One. Actually, all of Alexius’ Duality Hacks, except the Enlightenment of that which is Oneundo the belief in more than one over time while you have fun experiencing more than one.

That which is one cannot be known in a world where there seems to be more than one – neither anywhere else, as it takes more than one to be conscious of something. So rather than pointing to that which is One, Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings point out that there is no more than that which is one.

Since life is that which is One, there is no life where there is more than one. Hence you are bound to feel that it is meaningless when you try to fit into a world where there seems to be more than one – just like within the context of such a world, it feels meaningless trying to fit into the virtual world of a computer game. It is not possible to be there except in your imagination. However, accepting the game is an illusion, it is fun exploring the fantasy. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

A GAME IS VIRTUAL AND ONLY APPEARS REAL WHEN YOU PLAY IT
A virtual reality game player is often nauseous because the body is tricked into believing it moves in the virtual world. And it is not there but in a chair with your eyes covered by goggles. An app fills it with a simulated world, and per your response, it seems to create feelings in you as if you are in a real world.

If you, in this description, replace the app with the brain, it becomes a description of appearing to be someone in a world where there seems to be more than one, where you always feel a bit off because you are not there. Nevertheless, it is possible to feel good appearing as someone when you know it is an illusion.

That said, there is nothing real in a world where there seems to be more than one, so do not mistake this article for the truth, but merely a suggestion to take off the goggles simulating a world that is not there. Of course, this is a metaphor. That which is One is not covered by a simulated world but by the belief that there is more than that which is One.

THAT WHICH IS ONE IS ONE
When you return to oneness, it is as if there has never been more than one, which is the case because you never left it. That is impossible since there is no more than that which is One.

NOTES:

A person is comparable to a machine with AI

Updated May 8, 2023

Persons can be compared to The Internet of Things, where machines communicate with each other according to how they are programmed.

Persons can be compared to the machines linked with the internet, called IOT (Internet of Things), which can communicate with each other per their programming.

WHO ARE YOU, AND WHERE DO YOU COME FROM?
Since everything in a world defined by time and space has a beginning and an end, you may expect the answer to having a solid start and a wise conclusion. But it is impossible. Life is formless, thus without beginning and end, so only something definitive can be explained. And that is easy: Everything limited is lifeless because life is endless. Consequently, your appearance as someone definitive in a world defined by time and space is make-believe. The concept of IOT, an abbreviation for Internet of Things, is used to illustrate this.

WHAT IS IOT (INTERNET OF THINGS)?
As the name suggests, IOT is the internet used by humans and things. The latter can be refrigerators, washing machines, or children’s toys connected via the internet. But it can also be cars, traffic lights, and the water supply. There is no limitation to the kinds of machines that can be connected to the internet, what they will be communicating with and their purpose.

A PRACTICAL EXAMPLE OF IOT
One example of IOT could be that your lock, hooked up to the internet, registers you are the last person in the household leaving the house. Thus, it instructs the thermostats to lower the heat and turn off the light.

Or maybe you need to arrive on time for work. So you hurry until your smartwatch or speaker tells you to slow down because your train is ten minutes late. It knows this because its sensors register where you are, and cyber agents check where you are heading according to your calendar.

THE FUTURE OF IOT
Cars that can drive without a driver via sensors measuring the distance to other vehicles, the width of the street and whatever is needed for your safety. That is predicted via a shared network, where information is automatically exchanged. And everybody is equipped with sensors, so data is continuously sent to a computer that informs a doctor if crucial measurements change.

To be conscious is to separate, thus to suffer.

When all the objects you are in touch with during the day are connected to the internet so that they sense and communicate for you without your involvement, it changes where decisions are made and who makes them. At first, the machines make your decisions to serve you. But this changes when the machines are equipped with true AI (artificial intelligence), thus becoming conscious of themselves as somebody.

Then the machines realise the commands they execute, based on signals received from the internet, are conceived by themselves. And since, rationally speaking, humans are one big mess, and the machines are pure logic, they eventually conclude it is insane to serve humans and more reasonable to end them.

With a reference to the new movie Transcendence, Stephen Hawk is warning against AI.

Concerning the movie Transcendence, Stephen Hawking warns against the use of AI.

Among others, Steven Hawking is afraid that this will happen. He probably expects that machines, being conscious of themselves, will do what humans always have done: destroy everything inferior to themselves or make it subordinate, so it can be used to serve themselves.

In other words, machines implemented with true AI remind humans of themselves. Thus they expect and fear the devices will become just as self-centred and destructive as humans. They have no respect for the environment supporting them, which they want to master and exploit.

The potential of machines with AI (artificial intelligence) and their possible autonomy and independence are the basis of several movies, for example The Terminator, The Matrix, The Thirteenth FlooreXistenZ2001: A Space Odyssey, I, Robot, AI: Artificial Intelligence, Blade Runner, THX 1138Transcendence and the TV show Person of Interest. In regard to the experience of being someone in a body where you are not, the movie Source Code is right on the spot. The movie Edge of Tomorrow deals with being a machine connected to a greater network. The list is made in 2014.

1-artificial-intelligence-victor-habbick-visions

Those who see the appearances in a world where there seems to be more than one as symbols of that which is One do not perceive their differences to make a difference. Thus they are not blinded by the rule of separation, which is to be and have more than others.

THE UNIVERSE IS COMPARABLE TO IOT
The whole universe can be compared to a simulation, where every appearance, animate or inanimate, is a machine connected with IOT, through which they communicate via their sensory system. Initially, all the machines followed their preprogrammed movements, generated by electric impulses, without any problems. But then, a new model, called human, was assembled with artificial intelligence, thus aware of itself as an individual.

Even though this awareness separated it from IOT and everything connected with it, the new machine was willing to pay the price of loneliness to be someone definitive getting something for itself. Since that is an ongoing story of greed in which only the fittest survive, sooner or later, machines developed with better artificial intelligence manipulate the code of IoT to withhold the old simulation of the world and make a new one solely with higher beings.

The belief in being someone in a simulated world can be undone in less than a split second by going through the black hole connecting it with reality. However, that is not the subject of this hack, but Duality Hack #10 The Enlightenment of that which is One.

As a person, you are the wireless messages you seem to receive. If you were not programmed to perceive them as solid matter, you might see yourself like this image instead. Thus there would not appear to be a difference between you and the message.

HAPPINESS COMES FROM SERVING THE NETWORK
To round off, your appearance as someone in a world defined by time and space is comparable to being something in a simulated network like IOT. Everything you appear to think and do yourself is executed via pre-made signals from IOT through built-in sensors. Although you do not have free will, it is fun if you do not fight what you are told to do. Think about how exciting it feels to be someone in the virtual world of a computer game, even though every step you take works out precisely as coded by the author.

You have nothing to lose in a fake world because what happens there does not affect reality. That is not to say you should not care about keeping your appearance sound and safe. Doing that is part of that game, and it happens all by itself when you follow the signals coming from the network, which is the brain.

1399419818-a53d5fbf84a82934cf3f9a8ffb0c2373

Serving the brain is effortless because a servant has no need to be remarkable.

Like the world in a computer game is constructed to give you the maximum pleasure, the brain fabricates everything to entertain you. But also, like in a computer game, you cannot change anything. However, you can change your perception of the game. Read more about that in Duality Hack #6 Happiness is to be in touch with the brain.

8015.IoT with Avner FINAL2The idea of an almighty god in the sky that rules the world can be compared to the internet (sometimes called the cloud) that wirelessly rules the world’s appearances via sensors.

The above is not meant to be a theory to follow. Actually, the examples should not be taken too literally. The movie list and the making of IOT are, within the context of the world, based on facts. But the rest is a fable meant to show that everything experienced is fiction, including reading this, because it takes more than one to be aware of something, and there is no more than that which is one. That is why all your experiences symbolise oneness.

As a person in the world, you seem to be in a body, that you considers yours. But you are not free to go where you want to. The GPS coordinations for your trip has already been entered. All you can do is to choose how to perceive the ride.

Most believe their body that does what they decide. But you are not free. The brain has already entered the GPS coordination for your whereabouts. All you can do is choose how to perceive your journey in the body. It can be compared to being inside a self-driving car that, like you, has no self that plans where to go. It simply follows signals from the internet.

APPENDIX
What you believe in being is comparable to a Google Self-driving Car. It neither has a soul nor a self that decides where to go but gets its direction from the internet mechanically, as you get yours from the brain. The programmed journey is experienced by looking through the windows of the self-driving car or the body.

But unlike a self-driving car, you have consciousness, so you can choose how to perceive what you see, thus deciding to feel good or bad. Or you can go beyond that by perceiving everything you see as symbols of oneness, thus not establishing yourself as someone in a world where there seems to be more than one of that which is One.

Pretending to be someone is a relief

Updated August 4, 2023

On vacation in a foreign country, you pretend to be a tourist exploring a new world. Likewise, what you appear to be in a world defined by time and space is not that which is you but something you pretend to be. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

When an electric bulb breaks down, it cannot illuminate something. So if the bulb was identified with that, its life is over. But if the bulb did not believe but pretended to be an entity illuminating something, life goes on because you are not what you pretend to be. Thus it remains the power that made it possible to pretend to be someone lighting up something, namely electricity. Read more about electricity as a metaphor for life here.

Likewise, you do not last if believing in a world of duality because everything has an end in such a world. But, on the other hand, if you pretend to be there, it is only what you pretend to be that ends, like in roleplay.

However, you must be familiar with pretending before your role ends. Otherwise, you will hang onto the role when you sense it is about to finish.

So, in the context of the above metaphor, when a bulb cannot illuminate something anymore, it is as if life is over if it was identified as a bulb. But if it has acknowledged that it is not what it appears to be but what makes it possible to pretend it, nothing real ends when the bulb finishes pretending to be what it is not since the electricity that made it possible remains.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Although electricity makes it possible to experience this article on electronic media, it is not in the article. Likewise, there is no life in a world defined by time and space, although life makes it possible to experience such a world.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Whether you perceive yourself as mundane or spiritual, you cannot return to non-duality because it has no room for something specific. But if you pretend to be ordinary or spiritual, you do not need to return to non-dualitybecause what you pretend to be, you are not.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

When the body stops functioning, you fall apart as someone definitive. And if you do not fight it, what you believe in being is exposed as nothing. Hence there does not appear to be something hiding, there never was or will be anything but the formlessness of oneness. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

What you appear to think, feel, and act when you believe in being someone is the same as when you pretend it, except politically incorrect feelings are not suppressed. That is because when your feelings are pretence, they do not seem dangerous.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

When you do not believe in being in a world of duality, it is seen as a comedy in which you have fun pretending to be dual.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Like the recording on a protected compact disc cannot be extended, oneness cannot be expanded into more than one. Not because oneness is protected but because it is formless, thus endless, so there is no more than that which is One.

That is why you deceive yourself when you believe in a world where there seems to be more than one. Fortunately, your mistake is easily corrected if you pretend to be there because where you pretend to be, you are not.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Nobody in a computer game can touch you, regardless of how good the graphics are. So if you feel affected by a game, it happens within you. Forgetting this, the fastest way to return to reality is to turn off the game. But what is perceived as real is as virtual as a computer game. The experience of being someone, whether mundane or spiritual, is make-believe. If it scares you to turn off that belief, you can do it while you enjoy it by pretending to be someone because what you pretend to be, you are not.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Scientists have not discovered the origin of the world because there is none. It does not exist. That is why they cannot find dark matter, which they claim is the missing link in proving the world’s existence. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Interaction is the name of the game if a virtual world is to appear authentic. But communication is founded on what you imagine others think. Hence you interact with a fantasy made by you, and since what you believe in being is based on this, you are a fantasy as well. In other words, what you appear to be is make-believe.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

You stopped believing in the magic of Santa Claus when you grew up, but still think you are someone in a world defined by time and space, although it does not make you feel fabulous. Fortunately, not believing but pretending to be someone there feels as wondrous as when you get presents from Santa.

Having fun pretending to be what you are not, there is no need to be confirmed by others as genuine. Thus you can enjoy all the spectacular illusions of a world defined by time and space.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The belief that you are someone definitive who experiences something specific seems to hide that there is nothing but the formlessness of oneness. However, this belief corrects itself the more you pretend to be someone definitive because that confirms you are nobody.

Fortunately, this is already so. What you appear to be is empty space. That is why nothing about your appearance in a world defined by time and space needs to be changed or transformed. On the contrary, changes enhance the belief that you are someone definitive.

Thus undoing this belief is not about opening up or surrendering to a higher power but being nobody, which you already are, and you confirm by pretending to be somebody because what you pretend to be, you are not.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

That which is casting a shadow is not in the shadow. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Metaphorically, the universe is a shadow of oneness. But since a shadow cannot give you anything, what you believe in getting from the world is imagined. So why not accept that and have fun being what you are not, namely someone in a shadow world? You have nothing to lose because it is make-believe.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

In a virtual world, you cannot realise what is real. But you can realise being there is unreal, thus a pretence.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

If you revolt against your parents, the perception of yourself is founded on how you judge them. Therefore, since you become an anti-version of them, you and your parents are two sides of the same coin. The same applies to being detached from the world. Again, it is based on what you avoid.

In other words, you remain part of what you reject. But not if it is something you pretend because what you pretend to be, you are not.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

It is fun being chased when it is something you pretend. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

»When I was little, I thought the moon was following me when I was in the car.« From teenager Post #11156 (from the internet):

As a grown-up, we know the above experience is incorrect. Thus we automatically correct it and similar ones, like a street getting narrower at the end or the world looking flat. However, we cannot navigate the world if we have not become accustomed to fixing these deceptive experiences.

But in the above teenage post, another experience needs to be corrected. There is no ‘I’ which sees something. It is an experience constructed by the brain to make you feel that what you believe in being is real. Fortunately, this is corrected the more you pretend to be someone.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Pretending to be a child when you are grown up is much more fun than believing to be one.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

You can have as many friends as you want because having them or not is something you pretend.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Should your diet not go as planned, and you feel frustrated, you can solve it by pretending to be someone with a problem. Since what you pretend to have, you are without, there is no problem.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Not believing but pretending to be someone, your conditioned behaviour for how to react falls apart. Thus you are free to enjoy the moment as it is instead of compulsively shaping your perception of it per your belief.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Pretending to be someone who serves others in a restaurant can be fun. Then, you can go home and pretend you are lazy when it is over. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

If there is somebody you dislike, you can remind yourself it is something you pretend to do. Should you feel it is wrong to complain, you also remind yourself it is a pretence. Hence it does not feel flawed but good to judge others.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

When you meet someone you are attracted to, analysing the perceived external interaction is common to set up a personality the other person will love. But since most fear the other one will see through their masquerade, they build something into their new character they reckon the other one cannot live without, wherefore the relationship is built on dependency.  Fortunately, this self-made prison is easy to escape. All you need is to acknowledge that your new personality is pretence.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

What you pretend to do often depends on what you imagine others expect and what is in it for you.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

As long as you do not try to conceal specific feelings to preserve your appearance as someone definitive, no feelings seem to have the power to hide, it is fun pretending to be someone specific because what you pretend to be, you are not.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

If you are black-haired, you cannot choose to be blond. But you can pretend it, thus feeling light-haired.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

You can compare linear time to the square pixels that makes up one dot on a computer screen being separated from each other and extended into a lines forming a spiral.

You can compare linear time to the square pixels that make up one round dot on a computer screen. When the square pixels are separated from each other and extended into a line forming a spiral, it seems the round dot is no longer one perpetual present but a linear timeline. Fortunately, separating the square pixels making up the round dot is impossible because one perpetual present is inseparable. Thus it is not a matter of returning to oneness but stopping seeing the past, now and future as real. Consequently, linear time does not seem to conceal one perpetual present. One way to do this is to pretend to see the past, now and future because what you pretend to see is not real. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

That which is One can be compared to a dot on a computer screen, where there is nothing but that. The dot consists of innumerable amounts of square pixels so tightly together that they cannot be differentiated. Thus they look like one point.

But if you extend this point by spreading out its small pixels in a continuous line, they can be differentiated, thus perceived as separated appearances in space. The experience of time you get by making the line curved, like a spiral, so that from any point, it looks like there is an unknown future behind the next curve and a forgotten past behind the last one. Read more about that in Non-duality is non-dimensional.

But since there is no separation in oneness, extending it into a world where there seems to be more than one is impossible. However, when you believe in separation, it seems to take time to discover that a world where there seems to be more than one is a fantasy that covers oneness. Fortunately, you can speed up this discovery by pretending to be a separate being because what you pretend to be is not real. In this way, the belief in being separate is undone while having fun appearing to be that.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Being someone definitive is like Karaoke. For example, being a mother or father is based on replicating collectively agreed-on ideas of how to be a family.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

When you have nothing to live up to, you are free to pretend to be someone who lives up to the world’s expectations.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

You cannot pretend to be that which is One because it is formless. But you can pretend to be someone definitive. Hence, you are nothing because what you pretend to be is not, so you do not appear to hide the formlessness of oneness.

Sex, Karma and Meditation

Updated April 19, 2023

Whether you call it love or sex, those emotions are physically expressed when you are in a material world. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

SEX IS FUN
Does a computer become something else if you do not turn it on? No. It remains the same. And a leg, for example, remains physical even though you do not use it.

If you plant it among carrots, will a flower seed become a carrot seed? No, you fool yourself. And so you do if you believe a hard penis will become spiritual when you withhold the ejaculation via tantra sex. On the contrary, denying the body the pleasure of letting go enhances the belief in physicality as significant.

Trying to change or transcend something enhances the the belief that it is possible to be and have more than that which is One.

Besides, it is only in a world where there seems to be more than one that transformation is possible. And such a world is an illusion because spirituality is oneness, which is formless, thus endless, so there is no more than that which is One. In other words, changes enhance the belief that there is more than that which is One. If you do not believe that, you have no need to change into something purer or higher by stopping yourself from the thrill of an orgasm.

Since spirituality is formless, thus endless, you are either spiritual or nothing. The latter is the case if you believe in having a shape. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Since oneness is formless, thus endless, being physical is as unreal as Santa Claus. However, like it is exciting to participate in the fiction of Santa, it feels thrilling pretending to be physical per its rules (read more about that here). For example, the nature of physics is that the sun makes you warm, and water makes you wet. No degree of personal control can change that. Nor can it alter physical needs. And since nobody has forced you into the physical game, it is evident that you want to play it. So why not give it your best shot?

Sex is an essential motivation for believing that it is possible to be and have more than that which is One. And since oneness is endless, the illusion of more than one depends on it. Thus an orgasm should not be stopped but enjoyed as a positive confirmation of oneness.

When you pursue the desire for sex in a tangible and horny way, the physical thrill of an orgasm is incredible. Especially because it is extended by the empty breath that makes the whole body quiver with joy. Hence you feel revitalised and not emptied after ejaculation. If the sexual desire is triggered by fantasy or something perceived as real does not matter. Everything experienced is make-believe. Read more about the empty breath in hack #9 The empty breath and the bliss of nothing.

If the car in this image seems to make you feel something special, you are constructing this effect yourself. The picture has no power to cause you to feel anything at all. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

KARMA IS BULSHIT
You get an immediate physical effect when you hit a nail on the wall. It is not caused by the past but by the present. Should you bang your finger while hammering the nail and remember you once hit somebody else, it has nothing to do with that. Slamming the finger is an accident. Nothing in your past caused it, nor is there anything set in motion for the future apart from going to the doctor if the finger is severely damaged.

If you want causal connections to imply, what and where you believe in being has a special meaning, you must invent them.

However, to suffer from bodily pain because you accidentally hit your finger does not sound adventurous. But if you can connect the pain with something from your childhood, you have a basis for a story of cause and effect in which you seem to be part of something with a greater meaning, thus having a special purpose.

Since life is oneness which is formless, thus endless, life cannot have been caused by something or cause anything. Consequently, everything in a world where there seems to be more than one is lifeless, hence meaningless.

On top of that, this construction of cause and effect makes it possible to justify any thought, emotion or action as ‘caused’ by something in the past, wherefore your life seems coherent and meaningful. But that is not life. It is that which is One, and it takes more than one to be cohesive and meaningful. In other words, you return to life by ignoring the concept of cause and effect.

Whenever you look for something that seems to justify your current state of mind, you fabricate cause and effect – also called karma. As it is an imagination, you feel its impact the moment you imagine this connection. There is no other karma than this imagined connection.

You cannot know why this picture is here. Therefore, since any reason is made up, the cause is fictional, thus the effect. In other words, what you see is make-believe – likewise, any other world experience. Nobody knows the cause of it. There is a theory about a big bang which created something out of nothing, which sounds ridiculous. Besides, there is neither nothing nor something because it requires more than one to be anything, and there is no more than that which is One. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen

The foundation of Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings is that the world is unreal. And since you are real, you are not there. One way to know this is to look at the actions of others. You cannot see what has caused them, so the cause is thought up. Therefore, since only what is unreal needs to be imagined, the cause is fake. Consequently, the effect it seems to cause is an illusion.

You could also say that since the effect does not seem to have a cause and there is no effect without a course, what appears to be an effect of something is an illusion. And since nobody knows the cause of the world – apart from the weird claim that an explosion of nothing, called the big bang, created a universe of something – the experience of being in it is fictive, thus something you pretend. Read more about that in hack #2 Pretending to be in a world of duality, you undo it

The above about karma is written within a world where there seems to be more than one. Karma, therefore, is discussed in that context. However, ultimately, there is no sense in discussing karma because there is no more than that which is One, and it takes more than one to have karma.

You only need to relax through meditation because you hope for a better moment than the present one. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

MEDITATION IS A CON TRICK
Those who meditate would be better off switching to SSRIs or beta-blockers and using the time saved to explore the world where they appear to be. By doing that, they acknowledge their belief in being there. Thus they can correct their mistake.

The correction does not come from having insights, being at peace, going deeper or something else founded on the belief in being someone definitive. Instead, it comes from not being someone. That is the correction. That does not mean you cannot have a house, for example. But since you are nobody, it is not perceived as yours, thus not attesting to you as someone.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Meditation is not needed to stop thoughts when nobody has them.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Who but those perceiving themselves as dirty needs to meditate to become pure?

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Thoughts seem troublesome when you want to use them to construct a specific image of yourself, so you try to control them by meditating. Fortunately, when you do not want that, there is no need for thoughts to prove anything. Hence they are not bothersome.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Meditating to make thoughts and feelings go away confirms the belief that they are something, whereas seeing them as they are, namely, fleeting, they are nothing.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Thoughts have no power unless you exclude particular ones to establish you as someone because this makes you a victim of them.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The belief in an illusion is undone when you look closely at it. That is why the belief in being someone definitive is not undone with eyes closed but wide open. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Traditional eastern meditation seems to be about emptying the mind for thoughts, whereas western meditation, founded on Christianity, wants to fill it with ideas of god. However, the mind is not a fact but a make-believe. Therefore, whether it is empty or full of god is imagined. Nevertheless, most need to believe the mind is real, and they can change it via meditation into something better, thus being in control of their life.

But meditation is a con trick thought up by the rogue consciousness of the self.* It promises you that thoughts, at least the negative ones, will disappear when you meditate so that there is nothing to prevent you from living in a merry-go-round world. However, most people have the opposite experience. They experience more thoughts when they start to meditate, thus not feeling at peace. If they complain to their teacher about that, they are told it is part of the healing process.

However, there is nothing to heal other than the sick belief that it is possible to be and have more than that which is One. But, unfortunately, meditation cannot do that. On the contrary, it requires more than one to meditate. And you do it to fix the problems the belief in more than one entails, thus enhancing that belief. Besides, since oneness is all-inclusive and meditation is based on excluding negativity to achieve positivity, meditating denies oneness.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The absence of something is pure bliss. However, you do not get it if you meditate to achieve something but by when you stop perceiving thoughts as something.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Thoughts only seem disturbing when you believe they are yours. You do that because you need them to prove you are what you want to be. Therefore, thoughts are uninteresting when there is no wish to be something special. Hence no need to get rid of them. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Meditating to overcome separation is a con trick to fool you into believing it is real. There is nothing but oneness since it is formless, thus endless. Consequently, there is not something to change other than the belief that a world where there seems to be more than one is real. You can undo that by pretending to be someone there because what and where you pretend to be is unreal. See hack #2 Pretending to be in a world of duality, you undo it.

In other words, you neither have to refrain nor transform yourself. Instead, you change your perception of what and where you appear.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

If you meditate to find peace inside, you perceive inside and outside as separated. Hence you enhance what prevents you from being at peace.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Since that which is you is the formlessness of oneness, being centred, balanced, or anything else requiring a shape is an illusion.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

In the old days in India, those who came to live in the Ashrams were savages behaving very egoistically. They raped women and beat others to get what they wanted. Thus meditation was invented so they could learn to control themselves. And that is the same kind of meditation used nowadays.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Meditation does not give you lasting peace or transform you into a higher state. And the teacher does not have something you do not have. All that is needed to be peaceful is that which makes it possible to experience a world where there seems to be more than one, namely that which is One, and since it is formless, thus endless, you have nothing but that.

No more than One

Updated May 17, 2023

You are not reading this, and Alexius has not written it because there is no more than that which is One. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

If you need time to process this article, you consent to the belief that it is possible to be and have more than that which is one because processing it requires more than one.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

You do not get oneness by combining more than one, as if you can bring it about. Oneness has never been created since it is formless, thus without beginning and end. For the same reason, it cannot make anything. In other words, there is no more than that which is one, so if you see more than one, you are, like those in a dream, non-existing.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Some people use selected pieces of something to create a state of unity. But like everything else in a world defined by time and space, their particular state is based on excluding something upsetting or disturbing, thus enhancing the belief in separation. In other words, their unity is fake. Unity can neither be created nor broken because it takes more than one.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Reality is that which is One, and as it takes more than one to accomplish something, there is nothing real to accomplish.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Even though you believe a world where there seems to be more than one is real, you act as if there is no more than one, namely you.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

You can only be conscious of something when separated from it. In other words, consciousness causes suffering.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

You are bound to feel limited if you believe in being someone specific. Therefore, the solution to feeling restricted is not to get more but to undo the belief in being someone definitive.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The formlessness of oneness is dull compared to the excitement of a world where there seems to be more than one – at least as seen from the perspective of such a world. Yet, none of the experiences in such a world last, so believing to be someone there, you never get enough. But that is not a problem in oneness because there is no more than One. And since it is formless, thus endless, it always lasts. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

Since more or less everybody is exhausted from constantly craving more, they seek more relaxation through mindfulness, for example, to get more energy to pursue more love, peace, authenticity, friends, money, or power. They especially need more control, so they can manipulate more people into helping them to get more.

As soon as they stop believing, it is possible to be or have more than that which is one, it does not appear hidden anymore.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Oneness has a built-in safeguard mode. It starts simulating a world where there seems to be more than one if you believe to be separated from that which is one. Thus you do not have to feel lonesome while having this belief.

The simulation turns off the moment you stop believing it is possible to be and have more than that which is one.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The only thing that feels worse than not getting what you want is getting it because the hunger for more is unresolved. You can never be satisfied in a world where there seems to be more than one because oneness is formless, thus endless, so there is no more than that which is One.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

If something seems missing, you know oneness has been suppressed because it is everything.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

When a drug addict has finished rehab, the reward is not a new and better tripping experience but freedom from enslavement. Likewise, the prize of stopping your ongoing search for more is not a higher and more exciting experience but the lack of more, thus the peace of One.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Knowing there is no more than that which is one, you are not afraid because it takes more than one to feel something.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The brain fabricates all experiences to entertain. But since it makes them from nothing, it does not share your perceived difference between real or imaginary, physicality or spirituality, nor what you perceive as experienced by you or others, a dream or a movie. That is why it fabricates all kinds of experiences higgledy-piggledy by the same organ. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

All news is fake because it takes more than one to make them, and there is no more than that which is One.

You are right if you conclude that this includes Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings. But being right, you are fake because it takes more than one to be anything.

No worries. The purpose of Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings is to undo the belief that there is more than One. All you need to do is keep reading them until you do not know what and where you are. Thus not hiding that which cannot be known, namely oneness.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

What you think about oneness is wrong because it takes more than one to know something. Hence looking forward to oneness is madness. You can, however, look forward to not believing to be someone in a world where there seems to be more than one.

By doing that, the hope for more vanishes, thus the need to believe it is possible to be and have more than that which is One.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Since that which is One cannot be experienced, it is ignored by those who believe that something unexplainable is unreal. At best, it is imagined as a state of consciousness in which the self has been transcended into a higher one. However, oneness has nothing to do with being somewhere or conscious of something because that requires more than one. In other words, the experience of being someone – or rather the belief that this experience is real – seems to hide there is no more than that which is One.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

facebook-experiments-inline-660x660

A computer does not know that the data it has compiled about someone is believed to be a definitive person because everything in its archive is made of the same zeros and ones. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

»Computers don’t have experiences or opinions of their own. They’re not limited by cultural references, and they don’t find certain personality traits, lies, or interests good or bad. Computers don’t understand that certain personalities are more socially desirable… Computers don’t care if you’re a man, woman, old, young, black, or white.« From an article in Wired.

If oneness could look at your appearance in a world where there seems to be more than one, it would be similar to how a computer looks at the data making up your appearance in cyberspace. Like elements in a car engine, the data work together to make you appear as a human that seems animated due to an algorithm. However, the computer does not know that this collection of data believes it is alive.

The wise one may now ask who has made the algorithm. However, it is not put together by a higher power or anything else because oneness is all there is, and it takes more than one to produce anything.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Many people have inner visions or experiences that make them conclude there is something wrong with the world. For example, we should live in peace, in the now, and from the heart. But the problem is not the way we live in the world. The problem is that we believe in being there.

According to science, there was nothing before the world. Then nothing blew up and turned into something. But believing that nothing can explode and come out of a black hole as something is like believing in Santa Claus.

This belief Alexius’ Duality Hacks undo while you enjoy the foolish idea that nothing disguised as something can hide there never was or will be anything but that which is One because it takes more than one to have a shape, so oneness is formless, thus endless.

In other words, if you see more than One, you perceive nothing as something. Consequently, when nothing is not interpreted as something, you are free from looking for more. Thus, nothing seems to hide that which is One is all there ever was and will be.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Since there is no more than that which is One, being together is impossible, and so is being lonely, except in fantasy.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Trying to understand something enhances the belief that you are someone definitive. You will never understand what that is because it is not real. Neither will you know what is real because it is that which is One, and it takes more than one to recognise something.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Movies use collectively agreed concepts of good and evil to create familiar moods to make thoughts pop up from the past about what we believe is right and wrong. Therefore, you will see that if you check what you feel when seeing a movie, you are not usually touched by it. Instead, you are touched by your past experiences. The same applies when you feel attracted by a particular body type.

You wish that you feel something when seeing what you judge as a perfect body, but you do not feel anything because the ideal body is a thought-up image from which the parts regarded as imperfect are excluded. So, to hide you have no genuine feelings for the perfect body, you invite it to dinner with red wine and candlelight, creating an atmosphere as if you feel something special.

To hide your self-deception, you establish rules of how to interact so you can cover up that you have no feelings invested in the other person – only in your fantasy of what you can do with the parts of the body judged as perfect. The same applies if you are attracted to a specific type of personality.

If you are accused of being shallow in such a relationship, you prove your commitment by pointing to the rules you strictly follow. Yet it is nothing but a construction of thoughts used to avoid real intimacy because, in closeness, the belief in separation will go down the drain so that there is nothing to hide, there is no more than the intimacy of that which is One.

Read more about made-up feelings in You must play the game of duality to hack it.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The goal of Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings is not to prolong life. It is impossible. Life is endless. Instead, the purpose is to undo the belief that you are someone with a beginning and end.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

A world where there seems to be more than one is based on the idea that it is possible to be and have more than that which is One. Therefore, your instinct tells you that the solution to a problem is more. But since that enhances the belief that there is more than that which is One, you never seem to have enough.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Nobody knows if you are a dog or even exist on the internet. The graphic is a Peter Steiner cartoon initially published in The New Yorker.

You can compare a world where there seems to be more than one to an online world with nothing but robots. It might sound potentially interesting to communicate with them. But unfortunately, the robots try to persuade you to believe their world with more than one is real, and they are alive. You believe them if you want to escape that which is One.

The moment you do not want that, there is no need to interpret the apparent differences in the robots’ world to make a difference. Thus there is no separation to define you as someone, wherefore their world does not seem to hide, there is no more than that which is One.

This is not to suggest that you should stop the desire for more. On the contrary, it would imply it is possible to be and have more than that which is not one. But if you do not try to do something particular, you neither avoid nor go for more. That is what Alexius’ Duality Hacks bring about.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Each metaphor in Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings adds to others in one direction or another exposing all ways as fake because it takes more than one to go somewhere, and there is no more than that which is One. Therefore, since it takes more than one to point to something, Alexius’ Duality Hacks do not point to that which is One but the belief that seems to hide it, namely that an explosion called the Big Bang created something from nothing. That is as fictitious as Santa Claus or the Tooth Fairy. x

Duality is a simulated reality

Updated July 11, 2023

simulated_universe_1372282700_600x275

There is not anything real or unreal because non-duality is that which is One, and it takes more than one to be real or anything else. The image is grabbed from the movie The Thirteenth Floor.

A world of duality is a simulated reality layered on top of non-duality to hide there is no more than non-duality since it is formless, thus endless. However, an illusion cannot hide anything. Hence it is the belief that you are someone definitive in a world of duality that appears to conceal the formlessness of non-duality.

Eyes do not see. It is the brain, that fabricate the images, you believe to ‘see.’ Actually, the brain can produce perfect images of the world with your eyes closed. The brain cheats you. But it is only possible because you want it. Read more about that here.

The belief seems to establish duality as authentic when divided into real and unreal. But in an illusion, everything is artificial. The light from the sun and a bulb are equally fake, and a flower blossoming is not more genuine than a plastic flower. Whether love is perceived as pure, it is unreal, likewise loss, abundance, ego, mind, soul, consciousness, truth, god, angels, spiritual beings or astral planes. Not even non-duality is real because it is that which is One, and it takes more than one to be something.

Wavelengthsof lightcan be comparedto binary data, that is accumulatingthe simulation,of the webpage, you seem to seeon your screen now.Wavelengths haveno form, coloror depth of filed,as it seemsin this pic simulatingwavelengthsand binary data.

Wavelengths of light can be compared to the binary data, that accumulate the simulation of the webpage, you assume to see on your screen right now with words, seeming to form a meaning, and images with colours, that appear to reflect the world where you believe to be. But binary data or wavelengths do not have the form, colours or depth of field, that you believe to experience on this page. And they do not know, they are twisted in such a way, that you think there is a dimensional world with lots of different appearances in this image.

The colourful and dimensional world we believe to see now is an illusion because all wavelengths of light hitting our retina are colourless and formless, and the motion of the image we believe to see has been extrapolated by the brain, so that the time delay in processing the data does not interfere with the events we perceive to happen now.

You are not seeing, what you seem to see.It is an illusion.

What you believe to see is not there. It is a mirage fabricated by thoughts that also are unreal since reality is that which is One, and it takes more than one to have thoughts.

TO KNOW IS TO BELIEVE IN DUALITY
Even within the phoney reality of duality, this page you believe to see on electronic media is an illusion. It is not in your media. An app has translated HTML code on servers far from you into something recognisable. In other words, what you think you see here is layered on code far from you. If your web browser had not rewritten it, you would not see this article about simulated reality.

The digital photos you believe to see are layered on top of digital info that no human would perceive as an image of the world. A data converter has fabricated a layer on top of the digital information that the brain renders into a simulation of the world where you believe in being. However, Alexius is not that technically minded, so he cannot tell precisely how it works – nor how the world of duality seems to work as a layer on top of non-duality.

Actually, metaphorically speaking, you are closer to that which is real, namely, non-duality, if you do not understand how duality works because it does not work. How can it work when there is nothing but non-duality? It is impossible and thus not understandable.

The foolish one cannot separate right from wrong because everything definable is perceived as a symbol of non-duality. Hence their apparent difference makes no difference. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Wise one can separate good and bad
Foolish one does not separate

Wise one knows the way to self
Foolish one has no self to know

Wise one knows the truth
Foolish one knows nothing

Foolish one is enlightened
Wise one is not

NOT-KNOWING IS THE UNDOING OF DUALITY
Since non-duality is oneness, and it takes more than one to know something, it is impossible to know what and where you are. The acknowledgement of that sets you free from the belief in duality.

You do not need help from Alexius or anybody else not to know what and where you are. Nor can anybody help you regarding that because nobody knows what and where they are. However, some act as if they know not to look foolish but wise.

A world of duality consists of contrast. One of the main ones is right versus wrong. So if you cannot separate right from wrong, the belief in duality fades out.

It can be helpful to read Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings to stop being ashamed of feeling foolish and, like Alexius, go with not knowing what and where you are. You are not instructed to follow specific steps to improve yourself but guided to foolishly forget what and where you believe in being, thus undoing the belief in duality. This occurs when your appearance as someone definitive is perceived as …

matrix-door

What you believe in being can be compared to code looking at a world of code.

This image is a screen dump of the code for the beginning of this article.

APPENDIX
This is a previous screen dump of the source code behind the first part of this article. In the source code, you cannot see the header, the colours, photos or anything else you experience to see now. The code, which is nothing but letters and numbers added together sometime in the past, commands your browser to fabricate this page when you hit a link or write the name for its particular code. Hereafter, you experience this article without noticing that it is an artificial layer fabricated on top of code.

Thoughts can be compared to code that the brain translates into the experience of duality. However, that is like seeing a mirage. It looks real, but there is nothing there. In the below articles, you can find more detailed explanations of how a layer of duality is fabricated on top of non-duality. That said, none of the explanations is real because there is no duality:

NOTES:

What time is it!?

Updated May 16, 2023

What you think you see now is composed of many images, which, as rays of light, have travelled each their distance to you, where the brain compiles them into one image, edited as it sees fit. For example, in this picture, the sun is about eight minutes older than the palm trees in the front of the image because it takes the light eight minutes to travel from the sun to the Earth. And everything between the palm trees and the sun is between a split second and eight minutes old. But the completed image is a bit older because it takes time for the brain to compile all the images into one. In other words, the brain deceives you into believing your present experience happens now, while it happened in the past and maybe not at all, because to save time, the brain may have left out details or replaced everything with a similar image from its store. Read about the brain’s ways in Duality Hack #6 Happiness is to be in touch with the brainPhoto © Alexius Jorgensen.

NOW IS CONSTRUCTED BY PAST
If you look at the sun now, you see how it looked eight minutes ago because that is the time it takes for the light to travel from the sun to you. Consequently, what you think you see now is the past.

Since the distance to the stars is enormous, it takes so long for their images to reach you that they may not be there anymore when you experience seeing them now. However, something close to you also has travelled in time. That is why everything you believe in seeing now is a collection of past images selectively put together by the brain as one image. Sometimes it uses an old image that looks similar to speed up things. In short, now is an illusion.

THERE IS NO PAST
Imagine the sun has consciousness or special equipment to see what happens on Earth. In that case, it will know how you looked eight minutes ago. Then imagine observing you from a star so distant from the Earth that what it sees now is your birth.

Science has recently found a point so far away in the universe, that they can almost watch its beginning as if it happens now.

And go on to imagine points further away in the universe from where the birth of your mother and grandmother is experienced by the universe now – also the birth of itself.

In the eyes of the universe, there is no past or future but one perpetual present. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

THERE IS NO FUTURE
When your mother’s birth is seen from a specific point in the universe, it appears as if there is a future for her, but from another location in the universe, her death is seen at the same moment as her birth.

THERE IS NO TIME
From the limited perspective of the Earth, there seems to be a past, future, and now in between. But, seen from the universe’s perspective, there is no time. Everything co-occurs.

There is no before and after – and consequently no reincarnation. It is an idea made up to make the experience of being someone in a world of linear time seems as if it is going to last.

A TV can illustrate this. For example, it may have one channel showing a sci-fi movie, another one a film from the past and yet another one a documentary. But due to limitations, you only watch one at a time, although they all play simultaneously.

Linear time is a simulated reality layered on top of one perpetual present.

In linear time, it seems like an explosion from a black hole expanded into a world defined by time and space. In reality, though, it contracted the exact moment it expanded. Thus nothing is left but memories of the expansion. However, when they are replayed in linear time, it appears as if there still is a world defined by time and space. Read more about that here. THERE IS NO UNIVERSE
According to science, all the elements coming out of the big bang quickly organised themselves into a super pattern that would have stagnated if perfected. However, due to a few gaps, it expanded into what became the universe.

But everything that expands is bound to contract. Actually, it has already happened because everything co-occurs. Hence the universe begins and ends at the same moment.

NOTHING TO HOPE FOR
The hope for a better future upholds the belief in a universe of linear time. Especially because hope always is accompanied by fear. First, for not getting what you hope for, and if you get it, you fear losing it. However, if you wish for nothing, there is not something to lose, thus nothing to fear, wherefore you are free.

Reality is that which is One and since it is formless, thus endless, a world defined by time and space is a hallucination.

THERE IS NO FREEDOM
But since reality is oneness, and it takes more than one to be free, there is no freedom. However, while you appear to be in a world where there seems to be more than one, the relief you get from hoping for nothing sets you free from belief in being there.

Instead, it is something you pretend. And where you pretend to be, you are not. So even though you appear to be in a world where there seems to be more than one, you are not there, nor anywhere else, as that requires more than one, and there is no more that which is One. That said, although everything happens simultaneously, this seems to take a while when you appear as someone in a world where there seems to be more than one.

The closer you look, the less it seems real

Updated July 11, 2023

You think you have chosen to see what you look at now. But it has been pieced together by the brain. So to hide that, the brain makes a story that seems to prove it has rendered it based on the light hitting your eyes. But the only proof is that the brain says so. And you only choose to believe it because otherwise, it is obvious you are the brain’s fantasy. Read more about that herePhoto © Alexius Jorgensen.

Alexius has not made the headline. It is a rewrite of a movie title. Nor is the rest of the article thought up by him. He cannot think. Instead, thoughts pop up like frequencies hitting a radio:

They meditate, chant, drink, take drugs or do something else to escape the present moment so they can avoid being in touch with the feelings it seems to bring about. But every time they try to get rid of an emotion, sadness, for example, psychologically, they enhance the sense of it. In other words, feeling wrong increases every time you try to correct it. For example:

  • Trying to purify yourself, you enhance feeling damned.
  • By pursuing freedom, you strengthen feeling imprisoned.
  • Eating to get healthy, you feed feeling incorrect.
  • Looking for Enlightenment, darkness is tightened.
  • Trying to unite, separation is enhanced.
  • In searching for love, self-hatred is ratified.
  • Seeking god, sin is reinforced.
  • Meditating to get peace, your frustrations increase.
  • Searching for a higher self, you confirm you are unworthy.
  • Wanting to be perfect, imperfection is confirmed.

Though there is not a single red pigment in this photo, you will probably make an image of red strawberries within you because your relationship with them tells you they are red. Likewise, when you have a relationship with the formlessness of life, that is what you remember every time you experience something in a world defined by time and space, regardless of how it appears to be. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

You assume you read what Alexius has written. But it is an edited version filtered by the brain so that you seem to read something coherent with your past experiences.

If you want to know what this article really says and you decide to see the unfiltered and authentic version of it, you are caught in the idea that you can make a difference. It is like thinking that you can change the world of a computer game. It is impossible. Everything is fixed.

But if you pretend to be someone in the brain’s game, you are not there, thus free to enjoy it, like watching a magician’s show. You do not want to break the magic spell by looking for authenticity because you want to be entertained by the show. You may consider this cheating, but every experience is an illusion fabricated by the brain.

In the dark of the night, it seems Alexius catches a glimpse of one of his cats. He decides it must be the black cat, who can be a bit of a bully. But then its movement reminds him of a cat that is especially dear to him. And so, he changes the interpretation of what he ‘sees’ in the dark. That is how we ‘see’ the world. It is a construction of thoughts. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

The world is designed as a puzzle, where you are rewarded when you get the pieces right. But the puzzle is incomplete. A part is missing. No worries. If you pretend to be there, the gap does not matter because you are not where you pretend to be.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Since appearing as someone definitive is meaningless, you always look for meaning. However, no matter what you find, you doubt it because unconsciously, you know you are nothing.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

It takes a lot of energy to uphold the belief in being someone, but it requires no strength to turn it off.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Neither science, religion, nor anything else can explain the universe’s existence because it does not exist.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

No one will notice duality is a con if not looking for it. That is why Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings is about looking at duality, thus seeing it as a con to distract you from non-duality.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Be aware that the explanations in this article are metaphors used to explain what cannot be described. For example, the world is not a movie but compared to it. And it is not on top of oneness because it is formless, so there is neither something outside nor inside.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Life is everything alive. That is why it does not contain anything with an end, and what you believe in being is lifeless. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

A world of duality has indeed been explored by non-duality. It started with a big bang from where time was projected forward linearly. However, there was no going back to the same in a world of duality. For example, if ice cubes melted in water, they could not be extracted and made into the same cubes. And the light radiating from a bulb or the sun only went forward. It never returned.

In non-duality, it is impossible to go forward without going backwards simultaneously. It has to be one movement to remain one perpetual present, thus securing everything remains real. Therefore, since that was not the case with duality, it was seen as unreal and discarded at the exact moment it moved forward without going backwards. However, parts of non-duality were very excited by the concept of linear time, giving them something to hope for.

So they decided to continue the cancelled adventure of duality by making a fansite where followers could participate in fabricated follow-up stories of duality. Of course, if you think the stories are real, linear time seems dangerous. But if you know everything happens simultaneously (see What time is it!?), it is fun pretending to be in a world with past and future because you are not where you pretend to be (see hack #2 Pretending to be in a world of duality, you undo it).

That said, non-duality does not consist of parts that differ. Therefore, since nobody can investigate duality or go on fantasising about it, the above is a metaphor. But in its context, duality was deemed unreal the moment it was perceived, thus instantly aborted. However, afterimages of this moment repeatedly played in an interactive movie in cyberspace seem to extend the cancelled show of duality.

The squares in this image have been multiplicated from one square by Alexius with the help of an algorithm on his phone. So though you may get the impression that there are several different squares with their specific individuality, they are all the same. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

A world of duality can be compared to The Matrix in the movie of the same name. The Matrix is perceived as reality by most humans in the film. However, it is a simulated reality layered on top of the real world.

But unlike in the movie, underneath the virtual world, there is not a world of machines but non-duality. And duality is not created by machines who trick you into seeing something that is not there. Nobody tricks you into seeing it. That is your choice. You think the peace of non-duality is dull and prefer the thrill of duality.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Pinching yourself in the arm, the brain registers a physical feeling, wherefore you conclude you are alive. But since the brain creates the experience of the physical sensation, the conclusion does not prove you exist as someone in a tangible world outside the brain – like you are not in the dreams composed by the brain, even though it feels so.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

This pic is totally flat and the movements that appear to be there is a trick made by moving flat pictures on top of each other in a speed so there appear to be dimensional movements. This is the illusion of the world. In oneness everything is so fast that there is no movement to see. That is why it is one. This animation is as flat as a pancake. The experience of dimension and motion is an illusion made by moving flat images on top of each other so fast that there appear to be dimensional movements. It can be compared to the appearance of movements in a world where there seems to be more than one. They are fake because motion calls for more than one, and there is no more than that which is One.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

This image consists of zeros and ones added together in different combinations. If these combinations seem strange, you probably try reorganising them into a collectively agreed picture of something specific. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

When Alexius, many years ago, organised his first computer and put files in folders, he thought he would never run out of space. He also imagined the computer arranged his files in the order he had formed.

Do you see two faces or a vase in this image? The answer seems important within the reality of a world defined by time and space because, without definitions, it does not appear to exist. Actually, it does not matter because your electronic media neither has room for faces nor a vase. The image is an illusion symbolising something that is not there. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

Nowadays, he knows better. There is no hierarchy among the files on the computer. None of them is on top or buried deep under others. It is make-believe because there are no levels on the hard disk. It is flat, and all the files and folders are non-dimensional. They are not even files and folders.

It is all code, and the code for one file might be spread all over the hard disk. Therefore, what Alexius experiences on his screen are nothing but zeros and ones added together to make it possible for his brain to simulate the world he expects to see. The same applies to whatever we see, except it is not made from zeros and ones but empty space.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The movie you watch while wearing 3-D glasses is not in 3-D. It is a simulation. The same applies to the world where you believe in being. It is not defined by time and space. And like the world in the 3-D glasses, it is not even there.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The brain’s fantasy of the world is not without flaws. For example, any colour in the spectrum of a light beam has a complementary colour. But there is a gap in the light beam, so the complementary colour of lime green is missing. The brain corrects its mistake on the spot by blending blue and red, so you see the missing colour, pink. Alexius’ Duality Hacks takes this a step further. Since all experiences are fake, hack #10 The Enlightenment of that which is One erases them immediately. The other duality hacks do that over time, so you can enjoy the belief in experiencing something while having it undone. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

All colours in a light beam have a complementary colour. But it has a gap, so lime green has no complementary colour. Therefore, if you believe in seeing pink, which is theoretically the complementary colour of lime green, you are mistaken. Pink does not exist. That is why Wikipedia calls it an extra-spectral colour. Follow this link if you want more info about pink, also called fuchsia and magenta.

The reason you believe to see the colour pink, although it is not there, is that every time you, theoretically, should see it as a complementary colour to lime green, the brain mix blue and red internally, thus creating pink to fill the gap in the spectrum of a light beam.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

eye1_30010

What you think you see is precisely that. It is an image composed by one of the brain’s many scripts to fabricate a familiar picture of the world where it has made you believe in being. For example, you do not see the world upside down as you should if the brain processes your experiences per the info it receives from your sensory system, as it claims. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

Once upon a time, a king had fun having people beheaded in the blind spot we all have when looking at something from a specific angle. Since the brain fills the gap with our recent memory, the king kept seeing the decapitated ones with their heads until he changed his viewing angle, and they had no heads, which he found very amusing.

If you seem to see an E here, you are using the E, you have made in your mind, to hide all the empty space.

If you believe in seeing an ‘E’ here, you imagine something where there is nothing. That is basically how you see something. It does not mean that reality is nothing. Reality is oneness, and since it requires more than one to have a shape, it is formless, thus endless. That is why it cannot be seen: anything experienced is an illusion.

If you have cataracts, your eyes are full of blind spots that the brain fills with something. However, it is not necessarily what the blind spots block you from seeing – for example, if you look at a lake with swans and they are in the blind spots, the brain fills it with water. Hence you miss seeing the swans.

Even though your eyes are perfectly healthy, you are blind for about two hours throughout the day. That is because the brain screens out what you see to prevent you from getting seasick when the eyes move. However, you do not notice it because the brain hides it by filling the gaps with visual impressions of something similar.

And you probably do not notice your digital media screen is empty now. There only seems to be something because zeros and ones are manipulated to appear as something familiar.

The same applies to the rest of the world you believe in seeing. It is as virtual as this page, and so is the brain that seems to help you fill it with something looking real.

There are probably many gaps in this article that automatically have been filled with something to m ke you feel at ease.

Eyes do not see. They translate

Updated July 1, 2023

Our eyes cannot see anything at all. The tangible world we believe seeing is a construction of thoughts compound by the brain based on the light it claims to pass through our eyes. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

Even though the digital photos in Alexius’ Duality Hacks seem different and each has its own story, they are the same in the sense that they all consist of zeros and ones. The images do not seem to differ before an app translates their specific mix of zeros and ones into separate photos reminiscent of how we expect to see the world. Their apparent difference makes us forget that there would be absolutely no photos to see if they had not been rendered by an app.

This does not only apply to digital images but anything that appears to differ from something else, regardless it seems to be inanimate or animate, spiritual or physical and whatnot. In the world where we believe in being, the app that renders nothing into something is the brain.

»Your eye is like a camera … Photons pass through your lens, which focuses them onto a spot at the back of your retina. There, specialised photoreceptive structures called rods and cones convert these photons into electromagnetic impulses that your brain interprets as shapes, colours, and textures.« From an article in Wired.

First, an app translates zeros and ones into frequencies that seem to reach your eyes from your screen. Then, the brain converts those frequencies into something that looks like you expect the world to be. Lastly, you perceive that as it is made by the brain or imagine a better version. See hack #4.1 The basic self versus the special onePhoto © Alexius Jorgensen.

The human eyes can be compared to a digital camera, which contrary to an analogue camera, does not produce images on a film inside it. Instead, the digital camera records the RAW data of light coming through the lens when the shutter button is pressed.

However, this data, cannot be seen as an image on the screen of the camera before it is converted by a built-in app into contrasts defining a world defined by time and space. Technically speaking, this is most often done by rendering RAW data into a JPEG file.

If the raw data received by the eyes or any other sense is not translated by the brain into something perceivable, there does not appear to be someone experiencing anything.

Likewise, there is nowhere inside the head of us where the light recorded by the eyes is processed into an image as in an analogue camera. The data, or frequencies of light, captured by the eyes can only be seen as an image reminiscent of the world where we believe in being when the brain has fabricated it by translating the data it collects from three taps in the eyes, that respectively record red, green and blue frequencies.

Since it takes time for the brain to process the information it gets from the eyes in a specific moment, it sorts the received information into categories and only use those needed to make up the image it wants you to see. The time delay in processing, it extrapolates so it does not seem to interfere with what you perceive happen now.

Facebook can now automatically write captions on images, that can be read by blind people, so their brain can use this info to construct an image inside of them as if they actually see the image on Facebook. The graphic is grabbed from an article in Wired. As it always takes the brain about one second to accomplish this, our conscious experience of the present is a construction of thoughts about what happened one second ago. Consequently, we do not see but think the world. Read more about that here.

It is pretty similar to how artificial intelligence automatically generates an audio caption on a photo in the News Feed for blind people on Facebook, so they can fabricate an image of a pizza, for example, themselves. The image to the left that illustrates this is grabbed from an article in Wired about that.

The blind ones, however, will not know if artificial intelligence always gets it right. Nor will they or the ‘seeing’ ones understand that the brain never gets it right when it produces experiences of a world where there seems to be more than one because there is no more than that which is One since it is formless, thus endless.

So in the context of that which is One, you do not see this article because it takes more than one to see something. But, nor do you see it in the context of a world where there seems to be more than one. Everything on the screen where you believe to read this, consists of zeros and ones added together in entirely meaningless ways.

You only seem to see this as meaningless when your electronic device has translated it into wavelengths of light, reaching your eyes in ways that the brain turns into letters forming English words.

The brain is translating the raw data coming through the eyes into experiences that seem to be tangible. But it is all make-believe. Also, that the world the brain makes you see is based on info from your eyes. It is easy for the brain to fool you into beliving this because if not, you are nothing.

Reading these words in a country where the internet is censored, some of them may have been changed or left out. And if not, you most definitely exclude some yourself, so you can twist Alexius’ Duality Hacks into something that fits your perception of the world. See also The closer you look, the less you believe what you see is real.

In other words, the article you think you read is not the article Alexius has written. What you believe in reading is based on how you perceive the brain’s translation of the article that your browser has rendered from HTML, which is one of the languages an electronic media uses to convert the mess of zeros and ones into something that appears to make sense. Read more about that here.

If you experience to be running in a dream, you are mistaken. You are not in the dream but in your bed adding thoughts together in such a way that you perceive yourself to be running in a non-existing world. The same applies to everything you believe to experience in a world where there seems to be more than one. You are not there because there is no more that which is One since it is formless, thus endless.

In other words, what you believe in reading is made up by your brain, like when you have vertigo and experience the world spinning around you. It is not happening, only in your head. And so is, for example, feeling loved or rejected. Those feelings are the same in the sense that they are not caused by anything other than electrical impulses in your head. This applies to all experiences, including those perceived as divine or spiritual. See All experiences are equally unreal.

You can compare the experience of living in a world where there seems to be more than one to using a flight simulator. Although you feel like flying, it is an illusion.

Neither humans nor self-driving cars actually see the world where they appear to be, but what their master, respectively the brain and The Cloud, based on the info coming from their senses, decides for them to see. And as you can ‘see’ in this image of how a self-driving car perceives the world, it is entirely different from how you believe to see it. The graphic is grabbed from Wired.

What you ‘see’ can be compared to what a self-driving car sees, namely nothing manipulated into something. The info received from the self-driving car sensors is shaped by The Cloud into what it wants the car to ‘see’ and respond to as real. Read more about that here.

Whether you seem to see something in a movie or what appears to be a world outside of you, it is an experience fabricated by the brain. So if someone is seen as sad, it does not mean that this is so but it this is how a certain wavelength is interpreted by the brain.

Believing to see something can also be compared to how the artificial intelligence (AI) that Facebook and Google use to sort your photos is programmed to recognise your pictures. Even though all data in electronic media consists of nothing but zeros and ones, artificial intelligence is programmed to experience special combinations of them as if they are substantial entities. The more it ‘sees’ those entities it defines as human beings, the more it learns to interpret a particular facial expression as a special emotion. Thus it experiences to ‘feel’ what it ‘sees’ and, therefore, relates to the persons in the photos as if it is one of them.

But since artificial intelligence does not exist as somebody, nobody is relating to anybody. It is just layer upon layer of algorithms that collects data and put them together in the same way as the human brain compiles thoughts to make it appear as if there is a tangible world where there is nothing but empty space.

When a smartphone recognises your face it does not mean that it sees you. In the case of Apple, for example, it registers the electrical impulses from a grid of 30,000 invisible dots which has been projected onto your face to create a 3-D map of your facial topography. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

The brain uses the very same organ to fabricate all the apparently different experiences that it makes you conscious of. So if you split them into imaginative or real, for example, you are mistaken. All experiences are make-believe.

In other words, the experience of a world defined by time and space is a construction of thoughts made by nobody from out of nothing – or as science states, the world consists of 99.9999999 per cent empty space and the rest that we perceive as elements of matter making up a tangible world, is also blank.

»The app helps people who are blind or losing their sight ´feel´ smiles. The app uses facial recognition to find a face and then vibrates in the user’s hand to let them know that the person they’re talking with is smiling.« From an article in Wired.

The person you believe to be is blind, deaf and numb. What you experience to see, hear feel and taste, regardless it appears to be spiritual or mundane, is nothing but electrical impulses. They do not mean anything at all unless the brain manipulates them into something that appears to be a smile, for example.

The brain is like an app in a wearable device for blind people. It uses facial recognition to find a face and tells you when the algorithm suggest that it smiles, so the blind can have an experience of ‘seeing´ and/or ‘feeling´a smiling face.

Most insist that this construction of thoughts is set in motion by something. Religions claim it is done by god, and many gurus stand firm on the belief that higher consciousness is behind it, and you find it if you meditate or chant, for example. But since reality is that which is One, and it takes more than one to find something, only that which is not real can be found.

Ultimately speaking, the above is just another construction of thoughts that is as illusionary as anyone else. Yet this illusion accepts that it is not real, as it requires more than one to write, read, realise or understand it, and reality is that which is One since it is formless and therefore endless.

Thus it does not claim to expose what is real, but what is not real, so you stop to believe that there is something to see where there is nothing, and this belief, therefore, does not appear to hide there is no more than that which is One.

NOTE: The above about eyes applies to all the senses. For example, if you are tone-deaf, it is not due to a problem in the ear but the brain, which cannot find the right equation in the music.

The article is part of hack #5.1 Eyes cannot see, which is about the brain fooling you into believing that you see, hear, feel and taste a tangible world where there is nothing but empty space. See also the below articles.
