When senses are not used to experience something, ‘the Enlightenment of that which is One’ is bid welcome

There are no degrees of the Enlightenment of that which is One. It cannot be smaller or bigger because there is no more than that which is One. In other words, to talk about levels of Enlightenment is an illusion regarding the Enlightenment of that which is One.

You cannot become Enlightened, but you can undo the belief in being someone specific, so there is not someone definable hiding that which is One. It cannot be experienced, since it takes more than one to experience something.

However, in a world where there seems to be more than one, there appear to be degrees and levels of everything. In such a world, you can experience glimpses of Enlightenment on many levels depending on how much the outward-facing senses are turned off.

But no matter how high the level, no glimpse come close to the Enlightenment of that which is One because there are no levels in that which is One. Yet, you become less definable for each glimpse until there is not something to hide the formlessness of oneness.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

One who is to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One does not know what it is, as that requires more than one. Only in a world where there seems to be more than one is there something to know, namely that such a world does not exist because there is no more than that which is One.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Since it takes more than one to bid welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One, somebody in a world where there seems to be more than one cannot be Enlightened. Yet a person may momentarily forget what and where it is, so there is not somebody to hide the Enlightenment of that which is One. Alexius is such a person and therefore to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

One who is to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One is happy to know nothing, as that means there is no ‘I’ taking part in the silliness of being someone special in a world, where there seems to be more than one.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Those considering themselves to be somebody always wants to become more, but the Enlightenment of the that which is One neither makes you more or less. It merely erases all memories of being someone at all, as there is no room for anybody – neither somebody appearing to be spiritual – in the formlessness of that which is One. In other words, the Enlightenment of the that which is One is not for you if you want to be someone definitive.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The Enlightenment of that which is One cannot be seen, so it appears to be hidden as long as you look for something.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Only someone who has bid the Enlightenment of that which is One welcome knows that a world, where there seems to be more than one, is a hallucination. Everybody, who believe they live in such a world, has the choice of continuing to believe so or believe the message of the Enlightened, which is that there is no more than that which is one and that consequently, a world where there seems to be more than one is an illusion. Yet very few choose to believe the message of someone who has bid welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One.

In a world where there seems to be more than one it is a basic instinct to separate oneself from reality by fabricating a make-believe world –a child, for example, rather believes that Christmas presents are coming from Santa Claus than from its parents, although it does not seem very realistic.

The choice can be compared to a child deciding whether to believe if Santa Claus is real or not. Most want the excitement that comes from believing the merry-go-round story about Santa, so they discard the fact that the friction coming from the speed needed to bring out presents to all the good children in one night would kill him the exact moment he sets off.

It is a downer for children to have Santa exposed as an illusion – just like it is a downer for most persons to hear that a world where there seems to be more than one is not real.

Alexius has no answer to the question, who am I. An answer would be just as illusionary as the question, that implies there is more than that which is One although oneness is formless and therefore endless,.

One who is to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One does not ask to be believed, but that you stop believing, a world where there seems to be more than one is real, because without hanging onto this belief, there is not something to hide, there is no more than that which is One.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Gallery_Inner-Senses_1024x1024The only reason you demand being relaxed, free, excited, and whatnot is that you believe to be someone special in the world of the outward-facing senses. But if you do not give the outward-facing senses your full attention, the inward-facing senses will supply you with a perfect moment where nothing feels wrong or missing.

The way to not give the outward-facing senses your full attention is to not believe, the experiences they deliver are real. This is done by not giving a shit about upholding your image as someone significant in a world where there seems to be more than one. The more you do not give a shit, the more the inward-facing senses take over.

You can also choose not to choose and follow the guidance of the empty breath. Read the article Take-offs into the empty breathWhere to find the bliss of the empty breath and How to ignite a take-off into the empty breath to learn to connect with the empty breath, or read What does the empty breath feel like? to get an idea about that, or The nature of the empty breath to learn about its guidance.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

If somebody seems to cheat you, reject you or do something else that you judge to be unfair, you choose not to believe this to be real, and so you set yourself and others free from the world of the outward-facing senses. It is in your own best interest to set everybody free, even though you may think that not everybody deserves to this. But setting them free, the world of the outward-facing senses fades out so that you can connect with the empty breath, that opens the door to the world of the inward-facing senses, where the Enlightenment of that which is One is waiting for you to bid it welcome.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

A way to undo the belief in the world of the outward-facing senses is to perceive everything there as not real but symbols of that which is – just like you, for example, perceive the written word milk not as real but a symbol of that which is.

When perceiving the whole world of the outward-facing senses as symbols, none of its apparent differences makes a difference because they are all symbols of the same – and so there is no foundation for separation. This perception opens the inward-facing senses from where you can experience glimpses of Enlightenment or bid welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One.

But as someone in the world of the outward-facing senses, you cannot perceive everything there as symbols because, to appear as someone significant there, you have excluded the parts of it that do not fit into the chosen image of yourself. That is unless you include this separation or accept the guidance of the empty breath, which you do by not accepting the apparent reality in the world of the outward-facing senses.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The Enlightenment of that which is One is not something you find like you find other things in the world. Enlightenment is rather that you do not try to find anything so there is not something to hide, you are not someone definable but one who is to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One. In other words, no need to look for Enlightenment, but for what you use to hide it. You could also just accept the guidance of the empty breath.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

If you get the impression from reading Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings that the inward-facing senses are less deceptive than the outer ones, you have chosen to be deceived into believing that you can become someone better, higher or wiser via the inward-facing senses. And if that is your purpose, they will cause you as much suffering as the outer ones.

But if your purpose is to not become anything at all, so that there is not something to hide the formlessness of that which is you, the inward-facing senses will speed up the undoing of the belief in being someone at all.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Constantly trying to be somebody stresses you, because that turns you into a creature frozen into definable and dense appearances and that which is you is not definable, but extremely fast, formless and free flowing. The inner sense is constantly urging you to go with this flow of nothingness instead of believing it is possible to be somebody. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

In a world where there seems to be more than one, you always need to be and have more so you can show off as someone more important than others.

If you want to be more famous than others you need lots of fans to prove your popularity. If you need to feel Enlightened, you want others to express how wise you are so that you can use their praise to deny your darker sides and show off as someone light and spiritual.

But you can never bid welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One if it is something you need because needing it implies you are without it – and how can you be without it when that which is you are no different from that which is One. Least of all, can you bid welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One, if you want to use it to make you appear as someone important because that requires more than one, and there is no more than that which is One.

You will have no more than one glimpse of the Enlightenment of that which is One if you use your interpretation of this glimpse to promote yourself as someone with a vision for a better future full of love or whatever you imagine will turn you into the new messiah, which has been the case with most gurus impacting the public in the last century.

When there is no need to use glimpses of Enlightenment to save the world but rather to undo the belief in it, you are set free to be used by the glimpses, that will keep coming until you cannot tell them apart so that there is not something definable to experience and therefore not someone definitive to hide the formless Enlightenment of that which is One.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Nothing in a world where there seems to be more than one lasts, regardless perceived to be spiritual or whatnot, because there is no more than that which is One since it is formless and therefore without beginning and end. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Those who want to always be blissful in a merry-go-round world may at first like to read about the bliss of a state of not-knowing (see the previous article The ins and outs of the inward-facing senses). But when they realise that bliss comes from not believing to be someone definitive, they avoid a state of not knowing by making sure to perform as if they are somebody definitive – for example by saying, »I need time to open up.«

But only those who want to uphold the belief in being someone definitive needs time for something specific. Actually, they need to spend all their time with thoughts about something specific. If they do not keep the brain busy processing such thoughts for 20 minutes, 45 at the most, it falls into a coma. In other words, unless you leave a state of not-knowing pretty soon, what you believed to be is forever gone, and so is bliss. Thus there does not appear to be something hiding, there never was and never will be anything but the formlessness of oneness.

As this is the termination of what and where you believe to be, you only say you want it to enhance the image of being special. Hence you make sure that the groups you meet with about oneness, non-duality and Enlightenment are based on established rules coming from long-time dead persons that you can learn to use in a way that makes you appear to be right and therefore to be special.

Anyhow it does not make sense to meet in groups and talk about oneness as if that is something you want, as there is no more than that which is One since it is formless and therefore endless. So wanting it is just as stupid as wanting your body in the world where you believe in being. You already have it.

What makes sense, though, while appearing to be someone in a specific body, is to want not to be that. And since you are not someone definitive, it is just the belief that this is what you are, which needs to be undone.

Any of Alexius’ Duality Hacks, except the Enlightenment of that which is One, will do that if this is your purpose of using them.

It is easy to write Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings because they write themselves. Alexius just have to hit the right keys. Before doing that, however, he may have had a hard time coming to the point of, for example, being able to write about dying from the world as described in the below box:

If you perceive everything, that can be experienced, as symbols of that which is life, to focus on something becomes a symbol of life. Consequently to focus on what is not real in order to make it appear as if it is, leads to defocusing, because when everything is perceived as a symbol of the same, their apparent differences do not make a difference.

Without focus the world cannot be experienced, neither you as a person in it, and so there is nothing to see. No forms appears to hide the formlessness of that which is life.

The above box summarises a very long night a long time ago, where Alexius was on the edge of dying. The following days the feeling of the body was replaced by an electrified humming, often symbolised by Aum, Sohang or The Word of God. To make long short, as someone definable, you must always be willing to die so that there is not something definable appearing to hide the formlessness of that which is One.

This is not meant to be understood as the body must be terminated because that would imply it is real. It is the belief that you are someone definable that must be undone.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The Enlightenment of that which is One does not illuminate anything. On the contrary, it is so bright that there is nothing to see. Besides, it requires more than one to see something, and there is no more than the formlessness of oneness, as it is endless. In other words, if you appear to be in a world where there seems to be more than one, you do not exist, and you know it. That is why everybody throughout history asked the same question: Who am I? Searching for who you are, implies you are someone definitive.

It is the tension that comes from consistently doing something to be someone that makes you feel tangible. But the more you feel that, the more the Enlightenment of that which is One is fenced out.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Only someone who is to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One can write Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings. Not because such a person knows what to write but what not to write, so no personality interferes with the non-teachings being written by themselves.

NOTES:

The inward-facing senses, ‘the Enlightenment of that which is One’ and glimpses of it

Updated January 6, 2022

Enlightenment can be experienced in glimpses with the inner senses in form of light, a feeling or a taste and a sound. This is in my non teaching called mini enlightenment. It has nothing to do with the enlightenment of that which is one though, as it takes more than one to experience something. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

Glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One can be experienced via the inward-facing senses in the form of seeing, hearing, feeling or tasting it. These experiences can be compared to a movie trailer, which of course not is the movie. In other words, as it takes more than one to experience something, they have nothing to do with the Enlightenment of that which is One. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

The Enlightenment of that which is One cannot be experienced
To be someone definitive is an experience. And as it takes more than one to encounter something, it is impossible to welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One while believing to be someone definitive.

But if you momentarily forget what and where you are, the Enlightenment of that which is one does not appear to be hidden by someone specific. Hence a light brighter than anything else can extract all thoughts that have been stored to make you look as if you are someone definitive and leave them at the edge of a black hole so that no are memories of a world where there seems to be more than one to block the nothingness of you to gracefully fall through a black hole into the formlessness of that which is One.

During this free fall, there is still a connection to the construction of thoughts stored at the edge of the black. This construction, however, cannot be kept together for long without being witnessed by what seems to be a different construction. Therefore, if you want to reappear as someone definitive, it must be picked up again within a few minutes – measured in linear time – to be witnessed by somebody in a world where there seems to be more than one.

This was the way my body looked eight years ago. The way it looks has changed. The glasses are also different, but the content is always the same. It is life and only life, that makes the body seems to appear, no matter what glasses it is wearing or how old, it seems to be.

A person cannot be enlightened. Yet a person can have vague memories of stepping aside for the Enlightenment of that which is One. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

To pick up the construction of thoughts that constitutes your identity as someone definitive, you just need to focus on something because doing so, there appears to be more than one in the Enlightenment of that which is One. Hence you are back in a world where there seems to be more than one. There the construction of thoughts that you believe define you as someone tangible is witnessed by similar but different looking appearances. Hence, it feels as if you are autonomous beings in a world that is real.

However, returning to a world where there seems to be more than one, nobody can attest to you as someone enlightened of that which is One because that requires more than one. For the same reason, you only have vague memories of leaving your personality behind and as nothing being sucked into the formlessness of that which is one. In other words, you as a person have not been enlightened. That is not possible. Yet, as a person, you are to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One.

The enlightenment of that which is One is not a state, because being in a state requires more than one. A glimpse of the enlightenment of that which is One is a state, and therefore not lasting, as everything definable has an end.

A glimpse of the Enlightenment of that which is One is an experience
When Enlightenment is experienced, it is not the Enlightenment of that which is One but glimpses of it. This is to be compared to watching a movie trailer, which is just glimpses of the whole movie and in no way comparable to it.

Unfortunately it is very common to confuse glimpses of enlightenment for the enlightenment of that which is One, as the experience of the glimpses so easily can be used to hide what is judged as darkness in yourself, so you appear to be someone, who is full of light, even though that is not possible, as it takes more than one to be full of light and there is no more than one in the enlightenment of that which is One.

Glimpses of Enlightenment do not erase thoughts. Yet you tend to ignore them, as you have no need to use them for fabricating an image of you as someone remarkable while having those glimpses. But afterwards, you may start thinking that sharing your memories of them will make you appear to be a new redeemer – especially if it seems as if you are helping others. Yet doing so, you will not see more glimpses of Enlightenment until it makes no difference to you what you appear to be, and you, therefore, can be used by the glimpses instead of you using them.

When the outward-facing senses are partly deactivated, glimpses of enlightenment are experienced through the inward-facing senses as visions of light, ethereal harmonies, a shivering feeling of total emptiness or a taste of sweetness. To bid welcome the enlightenment of that which is One, the outward-facing senses must be completely deactivated.

There is no face to be detached from or stop to desire in this image grabbed from the web, as there is no face in it, unless you have conditioned yourself to fabricate such an illusion.

There is no face to see in this image unless you have conditioned yourself to look for something definitive. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

Believing to be someone definitive or not
In the world of the inward-facing senses, the Enlightenment of that which is One or glimpses of it is available for you whether you know a lot about it or nothing at all – regardless of the state of your body or how and where it is positioned. It is merely a matter of focusing on being someone definitive or not. When there is no or little focus on appearing to be someone at all, there are no boundaries to block out the world of the inward-facing senses.

So if you want to appear as someone significant – regardless if it is your pet, children, spouse, god and whatnot you try to impress with your appearance and whether that is to be someone comforting, loving, loyal, beautiful, healthy, wealthy, wise or spiritually transformed – Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings are not for you.

They are pointing towards that which is formless, but as there is nothing formless in a world defined by time and space, Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings cannot be used to prove you are someone specific. On the contrary, the message of Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings is, you are not different from others because every appearance is equally illusionary.

Going back to that which is One cannot be done, as it takes more than one to do something and there is no more than the formless of that which is One, as what is formless is endless. Yet it is possible to belief, that there is more than that which is One, and reading this you believe so. Therefore going back is all about the undoing of that belief.

If you think a sign pointing towards Berlin Airport has anything to do with the airport except from pointing towards it, you are mistaken. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

If you think a sign pointing towards Berlin Airport has anything to do with the airport except pointing towards it, you are mistaken. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

Pointers must be left, if you want to get to the point
A traffic sign pointing towards, for example, Berlin Airport has nothing to do with Berlin or the airport, even though there maybe is an illustration of an aeroplane on the sign. Besides, it cannot take you to Berlin Airport. All it can do is to show the way.

Likewise, the formlessness of oneness cannot be found in Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings. Neither can they take you there. They just point towards it. To get there, you must leave them behind, to follow the way.

Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings points to the formlessness of oneness by illustrating, it is the belief that it is possible to be and have more than that which is One, which hides there is no difference between that which is you and that which is One.

When you want something in a world defined by time and space, there are certain steps to follow. But there are no steps to follow in order to undo the belief in such a world. Believing there is, enhances the belief that such a world is real, and so it will continue to hide what is real, namely the formlessness of that which is One.

Yet there is no specific sequence you must follow to undo this belief and bid welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One. If there was, that would be the foundation for replacing an old belief with a new one. Alexius did not know anything about the Enlightenment of that which is One when he bid it welcome. He did not even know that he bid it welcome.

NOTE ABOUT IN/OUTWARD-FACING SENSES AND THE ENLIGHTENMENT OF THAT WHICH IS ONE VERSUS GLIMPSES OF IT
In hack #6.2 The Enlightenment of that which is One cannot be found in a world where there seems to be more than one, but glimpses of it can, you can read about inner and outward-facing senses and the Enlightenment of that which is One versus glimpses of it. In the below articles, you can especially read about glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One experienced via the inward-facing senses:

Where to find the bliss of ‘the empty breath’ [draft]

Updated January 9, 2022

The bliss of the empty breath may be felt like an intangible yin-yang sign

When you do not believe to be made of substantial elements, nor subtle or solid, empty space takes over. This can, of course, not be illustrated, so this yin-yang illustration is just simulating the swing of the empty breath. Read more about that here. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

PREFACE:
Since the bliss of nothing that sets in when connected with the empty breath is a state of not-knowing, it is impossible to connect with it when in the consciousness of being someone definitive. Thus the connection must be established before the brain, based on signals it claims to receive from our sensory system, delivers a convincing experience in which we are somebody definitive in a world defined by time and space.

Science states, the world we seem to feel and see consists of 99.9999999 per cent empty space. And the rest, despite it also is empty space and as immaterial as a dream, is what we perceive to be elements of matter making up a world defined by time and space.

Appearing to be someone definitive is, therefore, make-believe, no matter what and where you appear to be. Read more about empty space in the articles The empty breath is empty space and so is what you believe to be and Free to float in the void of the empty breath.

On account of this taking one second for the brain to accomplish, there are countless seconds where a connection with the empty breath can be established by going back one second in linear time (see how in the articles Take-offs into the empty breath, and How to ignite a take-off into the empty breath ). In those seconds unprocessed by the brain, there is nothing to define you and therefore no consciousness of being someone definitive, so there is no difference between the nothingness of you and that of the empty breath.

This has nothing to do with getting closer to your pure essence. You have no soul. You are nothing. Being with the empty breath, this becomes inevitably so obvious that there is not something to hide, there are no more than that which is One since it is formless and therefore endless.

How to connect with the bliss of the empty breath

You connect with the empty breath by not connecting with the consciousness of you as someone definitive experiencing the tangible world that the brain spends a second to fabricate from the frequencies it imagines to receive from empty space. You can compare this to not turning on a video game because you rather want to experience the physical world – except that connecting with the empty breath is not a conscious experience but a state of not-knowing, and you have just a second to connect with it instead of the image the brain fabricate as if you are someone definitive. This is plenty of time, though, provided you are willing to not be conscious of something but be in the bliss of nothing. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

The empty breath sees no separation, so it has no need to connect with you, no matter what and where you believe to be. On the other hand, you need to connect with it if you want to be indifferent to the belief in the brains conversion of empty space into a world where you seem to be someone who is separated from everything else by time and space. See also You exist nowhere but in dreams, and they are not real.

Forget about being conscious of the empty breath, as what you are conscious about is never the present but the past.

Having connected with the empty breath by going back one the second from your present experience to the nothingness that is unprocessed by the brain and then not picking up on the brain’s deceptive fabrication of you as someone living in a capsule of time and space, the unprocessed moment is extended into a state of not-knowing.

This state, though cannot last more than 20 minutes, 45 at most, at a time if you want to return to a conscious experience of being someone definitive, because if the brain is not continuously occupied with thoughts, that seems to confirm the conscious experience of you as someone definitive, it falls into a coma.

Consequently, being in a state of not-knowing for more than 20 minutes, 45 at most, is the end of being something. This is because the signals the brain used to perceive to come from empty space can no longer be registered and processed into a world where there seems to be more than one. Thus there is not something that seems to cover up, there never was or will be anything else than that which is One since it is formless and therefore endless.

the bliss of the empty breath that undoes the belief in being someone definitive

Is it the bliss of the empty breath that undoes the belief in being someone definitive, or is it the undoing of this belief that connects you with the bliss of the empty breath? Since this question arises from the belief in being someone definitive, which is an illusion fabricated by the brain, there is no answer to it, neither to who has invented this illusion nor who choose to have the belief in it undone. Actually, there is no answer to anything. All questions are constructed from out of nothing. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

Not that many, however, go into a state of not-knowing. If they do, they do not remain there more than a few seconds or minutes before returning to the consciousness of being someone definitive, in which they forget a state of not-knowing until blissful memories of it emerge.

How not to be deceived by the brains fabrication of the experiences where you appear to be someone definitive in a world of something and instead drift in the bliss of nothing is a question that cannot be answered, since it is founded on the belief that you are someone definitive, and the bliss of nothing comes from the indifference to that belief.

Neither can it be known if it is the empty breath or being indifferent to the belief in being someone that comes first concerning the sheer bliss of nothing. The only reason somebody wants to know this – or anything else regarding a state of not-knowing – is that they believe to be defined by what they know and want to remain as that rather than being nobody in the bliss of not-knowing.

Thus the above about where to find the transparent bliss of nothing that the empty breath entails is not an attempt to answer the question but to rule it out. The same applies to the below, which is a further exploration of the above.

now is an illusion fabricated by the brain

You do not know what you are reading at this very moment because what you believe to read now is the brains delayed adaption of the signals it claims to have received from your eyes one second ago. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

PART 1: IN THE BLISS OF NOTHING
Even though it only takes the brain a few milliseconds to register the signals, it has imagined that it receives from the eyes in this very moment, what you are conscious about right now is something else, because the brain needs a second more to process a conscious experience of those signals, so it can deceive you into believing they are the basis for what you experience to see now.

In other words, since your conscious experience of now is a delayed interpretation of nothing that it has taken one second ago to process, what you believe to read now you read in the past – or more to the point, you never read because one second ago there did not appear to be something to cover up nothing.

When not organising thoughts and feelings into specific categories, they do not seem to represent something in a substantial world. Hence there is nothing to block out the empty breath, that does not know of such a world or that you believe to be someone there. All it knows is the nothingness from which this fantasy has been made, because it is that nothingness.

now is a delayed interpretation of the past

The data that your experience of this image is based on, the brain claims to have received from your eyes one second ago. In other words, your experience of now is a delayed interpretation of the past fabricated by the brain to fool you into believing that you are someone definitive having your own life. Yet you have nothing of on your own, nor are you someone at all, because what you believe to be is a product of the brain made from out of nothing. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

As this means you are never in the present but the past, and as it is nothing and that is where the empty breath resides, the way to connect with it is to go back one second in linear time (see how in the articles Take-offs into the empty breath and How to ignite a take-off into the empty breath ), and thus not have a conscious experience of being someone in the world processed by the brain.

Since there is nobody in this state of not-knowing, there is not somebody to perceive the signals the brain claims to receive from the sensory system and processes into different experiences of substantial elements, making up a world where there seems to be more than one, to make a difference. Thus they are exposed to be a fantasy that hides they are a reflection of nothing and not of something, wherefore there are no differences that appear to separate you from the empty breath.

The experience of a dimensional world is a fabrication of the brain, which it produces by overlaying the flat signals it thinks the two eyes receives into one seamless image of a 3D world. Read more about this deception here.

what you believe to be is the brain

The brain uses five per cent of its capacity to construct a self, that through singled out memories, feelings and imaginations makes up an exciting story about itself, stored all over the brain as if it is you. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

Just five per cent of the brain is used to shape the conscious experience of ourselves as somebody defined by time and space. Much more space, though, is needed to establish this experience as real. Hence a big part of the brain is continuously occupied with thoughts about ourselves as if they are caused by a tangible world experienced to revolve around us and therefore seem to confirm, we are somebody definitive in it. See also The empty breath and the bliss of not believing to be someone.

If not kept busy by making it appear, as if there is something where there is nothing, the brain falls into a coma, so you can only remain as if you are someone in the tangible world fabricated by it, if you do not float too long in the transparent bliss of nothing, that the empty breath entails.

It seems that when the brain is not kept busy with thoughts, we believe in making ourselves about our relationship with the world (see The ins and outs of the inward-facing senses) for 20 minutes, 45 at the most, it falls apart. And since all the memories we have selected to back up what we believe to be are stored in the brain, this belief falls apart.

When you look for something better, a state of not-knowing is fenced off, until you are so fed up with looking for the best, the almost involuntary reflex to divide the world into better and worse is dismissed in favour for the indifference of the empty breath. Connecting with it, therefore, is not a matter of doing it right but having had enough of that.

Consequently, a state of not-knowing cannot last too long at a time if you want to return to the conscious experience of being someone. This is not a problem, though, because most leave it as soon as the uncontrolled speed of thoughts and emotions has ignited it (see Take-offs into the empty breath and How to ignite a take-off into the empty breath ).

In the bliss of the empty breath you are indifferent to being and having more

The urge to be and have more is the cause of all suffering because more want more, so you will never be or have enough. That is not a problem, though, when connected with the empty breath, as it is indifferent to differences. Hence you always have enough. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

That is because the urge to be someone definitive is so deep-rooted that it paves the way for the brain to break through the bliss of nothing with its version of you as someone who has special relationships with something or somebody.

Since nothing appears to make a difference in a state of not-knowing, there is no special place to go or someone special to love. Thus having a need for something special, feels like being inside an unbreakable armour of pain instead of floating in the bliss of nothingness.

If not trying to escape this feeling of claustrophobia but feel that and nothing else, there is nothing to define it as something, so you are back in the bliss of nothing.

Compared to this vision of you as someone special who can choose what to be and have, the transparent bliss of nothingness seems boring because there is nobody to be excited about being and having something unique.

Love and empathy are like other feelings created by the brain, so that the experience of you as someone definitive seems to be a happy one. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

When you go with the flow, for example to have sex with somebody, the brain rewards you by releasing dopamine to make you happy.

Like everything else, the excitement of sex does not last and, therefore, neither the shots of happiness. But if sex is replaced with empathy for your partner, the brain injects you with shots of oxytocin – also called ´the hugging hormone´ – that makes you so happy that you wish to be a family with a baby to cuddle.

Therefore, a state of not-knowing is left by imagining you are special and in charge of your life, so you can choose a spouse who acknowledges you as unique. However, it is hard work to live up to the expectations of being special, and it seldom results in the excitement you imagined. So one day, you prefer to use your frustration as a take-off into the empty breath (see how in the articles Take-offs into the empty breath and How to ignite a take-off into the empty breath ), and instead float in the bliss of nothing, that arises from the indifference to the desire of being and having something special.

The bliss of the empty breath has no centre

The flow of the empty breath goes in all directions within its non-definable frame of a circle with no fixed centre. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

The flow of the empty breath goes in all directions – up and down, back and forth, from right to left, or anywhere in between – within its non-definable borders of a circle with no fixed centre or size (see the illustrations in What does the empty breath feel like?).

It makes no difference to the empty breath, though, what direction you follow or how much you are connected with it. Your willingness to connect is all it wants (see the paragraph The only requirement is a willingness in The empty breath and the bliss of not believing to be someone). If it is there, the empty breath automatically syncs the inner and outward-facing senses, so the sense of tranquillity in the inner ones helps you get through the sense of turbulence in the outer ones (see What and where are the inner and outward-facing senses).

You cannot know what is in your own best interest, because you believe to be someone in need of something. The empty breath, however, knows what you believe in being and having is not something but nothing. Thus what you need is not the excitement of something but the bliss of nothing.

This does not mean it will seem easier to get a new spouse, more money and whatnot in the world of the outward-facing senses, but that it becomes apparent, it makes no difference what you appear to be and have. That which is you is not a limited creature stuck in a capsule of time and space but the formlessness of oneness.

In the bliss of the empty breath you do not know what and where you are

In a state of not-knowing, you do not know what and where you are. No worries. It is not needed. On the contrary, it is the assumption that you know what and where you are that clouds the bliss of not-knowing. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

As described above, inclusiveness eventually results in a state of not-knowing (see hack #3.2 Inclusiveness is freedom). But pretending to be someone instead of believing that (see hack #1.3 Pretending to be someone definitive) also does that. And so does having glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One (see hack #6.2 The Enlightenment of that which is One cannot be found in a world where there seems to be more than one, but glimpses of it can), or perceiving everything in a world where there seems to be more than one as symbols of that which is One (see hack #2.1 Everything experienced is a symbol of life), or acknowledging that the experience of such a world is something you have alone together (see hack #7 Alone together is the key to that which is One).

All Alexius’ Duality Hacks except the Enlightenment of that which is one, eventually, result in a state of not-knowing. If they differ from each other,we cannot know, as there are only vague memories of not believing to be someone.

It takes time for the brain to imagine it receives something from our eyes that it can process into a coherent experience of you beeing a substantial being that sees elements of matter outside of yourself.

The brain of a baby does not know how to do this. But in order to incorporate the baby’s experiences into the collective agreed way of seeing the world, the brain quickly learns how to produce a coherent right-side-up image of the world, so it seems the baby shares its experience of the world with everybody else.

The brain deceives you to fence off the bliss of the empty breath

When the brain, every now and then, screens out what you see, so you do not get seasick from the movement of your eyes, it fills the gaps based on past memories. But as they most often have been heavily edited, the story fabricated by the brain to fill in the gaps may clash with the story of the present that others have. The discrepancy, therefore, makes you feel that something is wrong with you or the world. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

PART 2: IN THE WORLD OF SOMETHING
You are probably not aware that every now and then throughout the day, you are literally blind. This is because the brain screens out what you see to prevent you from getting seasick when the eyes move. You do not notice that you are blind two hours a day because the brain hides this by filling the gaps with visual impressions of what it imagines to be there.

In the first episodes of a new TV show, there are normally hints pointing to the forthcoming episodes, and since the brain thrives from envisaging what is going to happen next, it is captured into anticipating the future of the characters and thus enchanted by its own predictions into a state of amusement.

The writers of Game of Thrones try to hook you up and fence of the bliss of the empty breath

The writers of ´Game of Thrones´ want us to bond emotionally with the characters, so that we feel attracted to them as if they are real and not just a fantasy. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

But if the writers of the show do not comply with their own hints when inventing the next episodes, the future of the characters does not turn out as predicted by the brain. Thus the fate of the characters becomes a mystery, that the brain hopes to unravel in the following episodes, wherefore it compels you to stick with the show until the very end. In other words, it is not you but the brain that is in charge.

The predictions fabricated by the brain to fill the gaps of blindness are basically a remix of memories that have been adjusted every time recalled to boost the story of you as someone in a tangible world, so it may not match how others see the same events.

Hence, you conclude that something is wrong in your story or in that of others, and you start trying to correct what is judged to be incorrect.

There is nobody in the bliss of the empty breath

You do not read this article, but what your brain predicts that you want to read. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

The more you appear to be successful in this, the more it seems that the story can be shaped to come out with a better version of you. Yet, no matter how the story is corrected, it remains a fantasy, and so does the idea that it has an author.

Just like within the context of a world where there seems to be more than one, a dream does not have an author or anything substantial in it, neither the dreamer. And it is not in the dreamer or anywhere else. It is a deception made to look as if nothing is something.

Fortunately, the brain cannot make the empty breath look like something, so when we are in its bliss of nothing, we are not deceived by the experiences produced by the brain to perceive them as something.

How many triangles are there in this image?
The brain automatically fills in the missing pieces in this image to make you see two triangles. Thus you probably do not agree that the grey triangle is an illusion and the one partly framed by a black stroke is disconnected. But if you cover the three incomplete black circles, the grey triangle disappears and the other one appears fragmented.

Since it is the brain not only decides what we see but also what we hear, feel, smell and taste, we are not free, but something fabricated and controlled by the brain into believing, we are somebody in a world where there seems to be more than one, and not the formlessness of that which is One.

Consequently, there is nothing to heal but the sick belief, that it is possible to be and have more than that which is One, which automatically happens when connecting with the empty breath that takes us back one second in linear time to the nothingness from where the brain has rendered your present experience of something.

This does not mean, that the empty breath is the formlessness of that which is One because it takes more than one to be something, but that it metaphorically speaking is the door to that which is One.

In the bliss of the empty breath the belief in duality is undone

In a state of not-knowing, the brain cannot establish the everyday consciousness of you as someone definitive. This does not mean, though, that the awareness of you as someone definitive is replaced by something better, higher or purer but by no consciousness. Thus there is nobody to be aware of the bliss that comes from not believing to be someone. That is why it is like walking in the air. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

PART 3: WHEN APPARENTLY DIFFERENT EXPERIENCES ARE NOT PERCEIVED TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE
In a state of not-knowing, you are blind in a sense that there is no conscious experience of you as someone definitive in a world where there seems to be more than one.

Thankfully this is resolved by the empty breath and not the brain. It continues to process what it claims to receive from senses as if it is something and not nothing. Still, since the empty breath is indifferent to the apparently different experiences of something, there is no awareness in the connectedness with the empty breath of how the brain categorises them in contrasts of, for example, good or bad, right or wrong, love or hate, within and without and so on.

Though a world where there seems to be more than one is seen in the usual way when in a state of not-knowing, its apparent differences are not believed to make a difference. Thus there is no experience of being someone definitive and therefore nobody to be happy, sad or anything else.

This does not mean that there are no feelings. but that nobody relate them to them as if they make a difference.

Consequently, the apparent differences in a world where there seems to be more than one cannot be judged to make a difference. Thus there is nothing special to love or hate and, therefore, nothing specific to worry about.

The bliss of the empty breath is the bliss of nothing

The graphic is grabbed from the web.

When the body, that you appear to be living in, again and again drops something, you could be defined as clumsy. If you believe this and feel guilty about it, you might want to change it.

But as every effort to improve yourself is based on the belief, that there is something wrong with you, your efforts are not changing this belief but enhancing it. You secretly accept this, because even though you do not like to be defined as clumsy, it is preferable to not being defined, because that means you are nobody.

Yet being nobody, there is not somebody to be clumsy or something else. There is just the bliss of nothing.

The bliss of the empty breath is not the end station

A state of not-knowing is not the terminus but a way to see that there is no end and that everything which appears to have it is an illusion because there is no more than that which is One since it is formless and therefore endless. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

Be aware that the connectedness with the empty breath is not similar to being connected with that which is One. The latter is not possible because it takes more than one to be connected with something.

The connectedness with the indifference of the empty breath is simply a way to overlook the apparently different experiences fabricated by the brain so that they are not judged to make a difference, and a world where there seems to be more than one, therefore, does not appear to establish the belief in separation.

Going with the flow of the empty breath is just as easy as going with the flow of sex. The latter though does not result in the undoing of the belief, that you are someone definitive, unless the orgasm is used to ignite a take-off into the empty breath. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

In the sense that no thinking is needed, following the flow of the empty breath is no different from following the flow of the genitals. The result of the latter though is the enhancement of the belief in being someone definitive instead of undoing it.

This is not to say though, that sex should be avoided (see Holding back to not ejaculate is just another physical manifestation – but without the physical thrill of it), because the exclusion of sex or anything else adds to the definition of you as someone definitive. Actually, an orgasm can be used to ignite a take-off into the empty breath. That is, if you do not hold back, but are nothing else than that.

Despite the connectedness with the indifference of the empty breath, it eventually undoes the belief in separation, it also enhances it because it requires more than one to be connected with something.

The problems, you perceive to have, do not come from the world where you appear to be, but from the belief that you are someone there. Hence the solution to all the problems is the same, namely the undoing of that belief.

The same applies to letting go of the connectedness with the empty breath or something else. Therefore, to not enhance but have the belief in separation undone, you do not choose to connect with the empty breath or anything else. Hence you are connected with nothing and thus in the flow of the empty breath.

The bliss of nothing [draft]

Updated December 20, 2021

When you hike, you need to take a break after a while. And so do you from the conscious experience of being someone by being in a state of not-knowing. Just like you start afresh after a break from hiking, you start renewed – or rather re-established  – after a state of not-knowing because it wipes the slate clean. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

PART 1: THE BLISS OF NOTHING
Though the empty breath has no need to be remembered by you, doing so is beneficial for your well-being as someone definitive and the undoing of believing to be that.

It is not easy to explain about the transparent flow of bliss, that the empty breath entails, because it comes from the absence of the conscious experience of us as somebody.

But you cannot remember it for more than 20 minutes, 45 at most, at a time, if you want to continue the experience of being someone definitive in a world where there seems to be more than one. Read more about that here. Thus a great way of almost always remembering it is to quickly change between the conscious experience of being someone definitive and a state of not-knowing, which the empty breath entails and in which the slate is wiped clean and you, therefore, return to the conscious experience of being someone as the basic self. Read more about the basic self in hack #4.1 The basic self versus the special one.

This can be done by following the rhythm of the breath so that when it expands the body, you are in the conscious experience of being someone definitive and in a state of not-knowing when it contracts the body. Click here for a more detailed explanation of how to quickly go back and forth between the conscious experience of being someone definitive and a state of not-knowing.

Returning to that which is one is not a matter of going anywhere. Oneness is formless and therefore endless, so it is impossible to leave it. But, nevertheless, it seems possible to believe that it is. Fortunately, the empty breath undoes this belief so gently that we can enjoy it while having it undone. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

It is not a matter of letting go or surrendering since doing so enhances the belief in being someone definitive. And so does try to figure out if it would be better to follow the rhythm of the breath the other way around. As long as you are not in charge but follow the flow, it makes no difference which way you experience it.

What you believe in being is gently falling apart, when rapidly going back and forth between the consciousness of being someone definitive and a state of not-knowing, because in a state of not-knowing all definitions are errased.

Since you, therefore, do not perceive yourself to be special when returning to the conscious experience of being someone, there is no need for something specific to define you, so it is easy returning to a state of not-knowing. Read more about the perception of yourself as special or not in hack #4.1 The basic self versus the special one.

When in the flow of going back and forth between knowing and not-knowing, the belief in being someone undone is one day undone. You do not wonder when because you enjoy being in the flow.

Besides, time is an illusion, and every experience is bound to end, as in a state of not-knowing the apparent differences in a world where there seems to be more than one do not appear to make a difference, so one by one, they are cancelled out.

´The empty breath´ cancels out the apparent differences in a world where there seems to be more than one. This does not mean that they are not perceived, but that they are not judged to make a difference. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

When every so often connected with the empty breath, nothing remains a problem, because the differences, that appear to have caused it, are cancelled out the very moment you return to the empty breath, so they cannot be used to make a perception of you as someone making a difference.

That is, if you do not prevent the empty breath from cancelling out the differences and insist on some of them makes a difference, for example if you are in a friendship or a romantic relationship. Fortunately, the frustration that seems to arise from claiming to know what is right can be used to ignite a take-off into ‘the empty breath’.

In short, the rapid on and off connection with the empty breath will sooner or later end all experiences because it cancels out differences. Without them, there is nothing definite to encounter. And thus, not something to hide there is nothing but that which is one as it is formless and therefore endless.

Only in a world where there seems to be more than one, does there appear to be levels, so if you are experiencing to be advancing through levels, the belief that there is more than that which is not being undone but enhanced.

This does not mean oneness is revealed. It is not possible because that requires more than one. But what appears to hide it can be exposed as nothing. That is what Alexius´ Enlightened Non-Teachings is about, namely revealing that what you perceive to experience as something is nothing, including what you believe to be. Since realising this requires more than one, it is only is possible in a world where there seems to be more than one, and since it is a world of linear time, this is a process in time.

The willingness to realise this is often initiated by admitting, you are not willing to recognise that what you believe to be is nothing because by acknowledging this, you agree that what you appear to be is make-believe and therefore not that which is you.

About willingness, see ‘The empty breath’ and the bliss of not believing to be someone and Willingness to not exclude but include undoes the belief in a world where there seems to be more than one.

PART 2: THE AFTER-EFFECT OF THE BLISS OF NOTHING
When you return from a state of not-knowing to the belief in being someone definitive and have forgotten the bliss of not believing that, the empty breath remembers it for you – also if you only remember the empty breath once in a while. And just like it syncs being nobody with being somebody in a state of not-knowing, so you can move around in nothing as if it is something, it also does that in the after-effect of it. The ratio is different, though.

In a state of not-knowing, there is so little consciousness of being somebody that there is nobody to perceive the apparently different experiences to make a difference. This is in the bliss of nothing. In the after-effect, the empty breath syncs the bliss of nothing with the conscious experience of something, so emptiness is forgotten when you need to be aware of something like driving a car. In other words, in a state of not-knowing, you are, first of all, nobody, and in the after-effect, you are mostly somebody.

When someone is hurt in a movie, that you are watching, you may also feel hurt. That is why the movie seems real. But since the film is not perceived to be real, feeling hurt seems entertaining. This is how it is to be connected with the empty breath. Though the world appears to be real, you perceive it as unreal. Hence its apparent ups and downs are equally enjoyable.

But since your slate is wiped clean in a state of not-knowing, there are no misperceptions of being special in the after-effect of it. Thus you are the basic. It perceives every experience as it is what it is. Hence, no matter in which ratio nothing and something is synced by the empty breath, each experience makes it equally entertaining to appear as if you are someone definitive. This after-effect lasts from a few seconds to several years if you do not hold onto specific thoughts and feelings. An excellent way to prevent this is to apply hack #4.4 The duality flow goes to non-duality.

This is often done with new-age concepts of being in balance, the now and whatnot. That is until you are so frustrated from trying to make these concepts work, and you do not attempt to fix the disappointment but have the unedited energy ignites a take-off into the empty breath, so you again have your slate wiped clean in a state of not-knowing and return to the consciousness of being someone as the basic self. Read more about the basic and special self in hack #4.1 The basic self versus the special one. And read more about the after-effect of a state of not-knowing in From the bliss of not-knowing to the happiness of serving.

You are in a state of not-knowing when you do not know what and where you and your beloved ones are. Yet it is your devotion to what you and they appear to be, that exposes the nothingness of this appearance.

To see that your hidden grievances are nothing disguised as something is as simple as recognising the nothingness of this haze. You do not need to analyse or understand it but go into it with your eyes wide open. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

PART 3: WHERE IS THE BLISS OF NOTHING?
Although what we believe in being is seems to come across somewhere, it is nowhere because it is an experience created by the brain from out of nothing. The brain is as immaterial as the experiences it fabricates. Still, it uses them to make itself appear as a material thing in a physical being, who seems to have the experiences of a tangible world that the brain fabricates and, therefore, believes to be a substantial being in a world made of solid elements.

In the context of this illusion, where nothing seems to be something, a state of not-knowing is a version of nothing that has not been processed by the brain into an experience of something. Read more about that here. In a world that is experienced to be something, a state of not-knowing may in an abstract way appear to originate from the back of the head, when all the grievances that have been stored there are acknowledged as old friends, and, therefore, do not appear to create pressure in your head but sheer bliss. Yet, the whole brain will never be in a transparent bliss of nothing.

The way to become friends with old complaints is not to get rid of them or understand them, nor to forgive those you resent for having caused them, but to acknowledge what the grievances make you feel by being that and nothing else, so there is not something to contrast what you feel, wherefore neither you nor what you feel is definable. Hence you are in the bliss of not knowing what and where you appear to be.

To be nobody and yet somebody (DRAFT)

Updated November 18, 2021

Reality has nothing to say but ‘I am here’ because it takes more than one to go anywhere, and it is that which is One and. For the same reason, where it is cannot be known. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

It is the brain and nobody else that tells you to experience someone as stupid, for example. It will also suggest how you should deal with it. Whether you consider or reject the suggestions, you are well entangled in the game of the brain, which is to make you believe that you are separated from what you experience, so you appear to be someone separated from a world that seems to be outside of you.

This is not to say that there are ways to escape that game, except, of course, to die. You must play the brain game if you want to go on as if you are someone in a world where there seems to be more than one. If you do, the brain rewards you with shots of happiness.

Like in most games, the end is built into it, so you do not have to feel stuck in the brain. When your time is up, the brain stops working. Thus there is nothing to establish you as someone in a world where there seems to be more than one, so nobody appears to hide there never was or will be more than that which is One.

Until then, you have much fun appearing in the game if you perceive the experiences the brain fabricates of it as they are, and not as they ought to be according to a unique belief system like socialism, capitalism, Buddhism or any other ism.

In this case, your perception relates to the experiences as they are, so you are not someone definitive but someone relative to the brain (read more about that here), which, as already said, therefore, supports you with shots of happiness. On the other hand, if your perception does not relate to the experiences as they are but to a belief system of yours, this system seems to establish you as someone special in charge of its own life. But since it never turns out as it ought to be, you do not feel happy but frustrated. Read more about that here.

If you connect with the empty breath, you are not relative to the brain anymore, nor independent of it because you are nobody and thus not somebody in the experiences created by the brain, although you appear to be there. In other words, you are in the world of the brain but not of it.

This, however, is only possible for 20 minutes, 45 at most, at a time if you want to be able again to have a conscious experience of being someone in a world where there seems to be more than one (see the end of this article). Fortunately, it is possible to get around this by quickly shifting between the conscious experience of being someone and having no consciousness of what and where you appear to be. This is what we explore below:

When not concentrating, you ‘see’ the appearances in this image simultaneously. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

It is easy to connect with the empty breath when not looking for something
If not constructing a perception that has left out everything in your experiences which does not make sense according to a particular belief system, such as socialism or capitalism, the unedited energy of them will ignite a take-off into the empty breath.

Connecting with it may at first feel as if you have two kinds of breaths. The well-known one you probably, out of habit, struggle for by taking quick gasps of air. And then the empty breath that takes over when you are willing to not breathe too fast take deep breaths or in any other way manipulate the breath.

To achieve this, it can be beneficial to hold a finger under your nose every now and then. It may make you feel as if you are not getting enough air. But that is because when you do not try to catch your breath, the empty breath takes over. And it has a slower pace than you are used to, with a more extended break between breathing in and out. It keeps a healthy balance between breathing in oxygen and breathing out carbon dioxide in a very laid-back way.

Physically speaking, the empty breath is best felt when the air comes in and out through the nose and not the mouth. But not as if it is you who do the breathing, but a ‘generator’ in the abdomen from where it, very gently, first expands the abdomen, secondly the belly and lastly the chest before it after a short break goes the other way to contract the body. And then on and on. It feels like there is hardly any air coming in and out of the nose but that it remains a stream within the body.

For that reason, the physical breathing may be through the mouth if that suits you better than through the nose. However, by doing it through the nose, you can simultaneously do the technique for the taste of life to get its side-effect of defocussing. This makes it easier to be with the empty breath. See the paragraph The taste of life in Perceiving the world as symbols of the four aspects of enlightenment.

Please be aware that this is not a factual description of how breathing is carried out when the empty breath is in the driving seat, but a description of what it may feel like, physically speaking. It could also be that you feel it as if the generator is in the chest. Sometimes this is how it feels for Alexius.

Hence you should not try to replicate the way he described here but use it as an inspiration to not do something, so the empty breath is not blocked from filling you with the bliss of nothing. This, by the way, is not something to be felt in the body, nor outside of it as if in the external world. It is felt nowhere.

You do not need to remember every detail of this photo to get a sense of stormy weather. Likewise, you do not need to remember all the explanations about the empty breath to connect with it. And you should absolutely not try to remember being connected with it. The connection consists of nothing, so you cannot remember anything. Thus trying to do so, the relationship turns into the frustration of something. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

The above is not something you need to remember and strictly follow. The empty breath does not know what you believe in doing. The only thing required for the connection to work is a willingness to go with the flow.

Although the empty breath has nothing to give but emptiness, it feels like you get more energy. Maybe because the lack of something dissolves the tensions in the body that restricts a full breath. As emptiness is powerless, the empty breath cannot do this without your permission. If you are not ready to give that, it may take some time to feel more energetic. No worries. Time is an illusion. However, let us get practical and talk about how to get there:

When the breath expands the body from the abdomen to the chest, you follow a flow from the abdomen to the top of the head. At the same time, you stick to the thoughts and/or feelings popping up without making a perception of them that excludes what you judge to be politically incorrect. At the top of the head, the gentle explosion of the unedited energy of thoughts and feelings erases the perception of your experience as something, so you are in the bliss of nothing and thus indifferent to being someone definitive.

This state of not-knowing remains while following the flow of breath down to the abdomen and repeatedly going up and down, provided you do not perceive an appearance such as your spouse to make a difference.

This should not be understood as a state of not-knowing is in the flow of the physical breath – just like the music you turn on by hitting a button is not in that action. A state of not-knowing is nowhere in particular and therefore obscured by the experiences of time and space that seems to confirm you as someone definitive in a tangible world.

Following the rhythm of the breath as described above or in the other articles in the below links hypnotises the brain, so it forgets to continually produce a conscious experience of you as someone separated from others by time and space. Since this is the primary purpose of following the breath, it is not essential to do it in the exact same way you interpret it should be done according to the explanations in Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings.

In the connectedness with the empty breath, Alexius often see or hear glimpses of enlightenment when breathing in. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

In this article, we talk about starting to breathe from the abdomen, which is a physical approach. If you prefer a more metaphysical one, you can begin to breathe from the third eye. This is not to say that it is you who initiate the breathing. You direct your awareness in a defocused way to either the abdomen or third eye. You may have tightened the muscles there to prevent going on automatic flow. But if you wait patiently, the breath starts by itself. Therefore, do not interfere, neither if it takes a long time for the flow to resume between breathing in and out.

In the case of the abdomen, you go on as described above. Regarding breathing in and out from the third eye, you stay in the space that the breath seems to have opened there and filled with the transparent sound of the empty breath. From there, you probably sense the swing of the empty breath in the upper part of the body and, when breathing in, you see glimpses of Enlightenment.

Both approaches call off the streaming of thoughts. Every now and then, the stream may return. But it disappears in the next breath. Hence you cannot hold onto something specific. No worries. You are in the bliss of nothing. And although that is very energetic, you have no urge to achieve anything. Therefore, as you do not hope to get something from the world, it seems transparent, regardless everything looks the same.

Suppose you think you find something better around the next corner. In that case, you will probably not notice the empty breath because it is not behind anything but before everything that the brain has twisted from nothing into an experience of something. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

The empty breath is nothing, so looking for something you miss it
Although being in the bliss of nothing is simple and straightforward, it may seem complicated if you are conditioned with the ideas of controlling and/or stopping thoughts because controlling or preventing something is not possible in the nothingness of bliss.

Neither is it beneficial for getting there. On the contrary, when you do not try to stop thoughts or in any other way focus on them, they are free to speed up until the explosion of their unedited energy ignites a take-off into the empty breath, thus to the blissful state of not-knowing. In short, it is not focussing but defocusing that will get you to a state of not-knowing in which there is nobody to be conscious of thoughts and feelings.

The apparent difference between a boy or a girl, for example, must be upheld as real to sustain the belief, that you are someone definitive in a world defined by time and space. This difference remains precisely the same when connected with the empty breath, but due to its indifference, your it is not judged to make a difference. Thus the belief in being someone definitive fades out.

The flow of the empty breath is flexible
Being defocused, you may forget the above description of going up and down in alignment with the rhythm of the breath and instead go the other way around. Or the distance of going up and down can be diminished or enlarged, so if you pass the top of the head when going up, go down below the abdomen. No worries. There is nobody to notice the apparent difference. Thus it makes no difference.

The brain will try to process a state of not-knowing into an experience of something instead of nothing by babling about awakening, coming from pure essence, heart (read more about that here) or whatnot, so the image it has fabricated of you as someone definitive is confirmed as real and thus obscure, it is made from out of nothing. Read more about that here.

So just connect with the empty breath and go with its flow of nothing as it comes to you. Having done that a few times, you automatically return to the empty breath whenever you prefer to perceive problems as nothing instead of something.

When not perceiving the contrast of up and down to make a difference, the world is not experienced to make sense and thus not to hide that both the senses and what they seem to pick up are nothing but empty space. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

The flow of going up and down
Instead of remaining in a state of not-knowing after going down to the abdomen when the breath contracts the body, you can return to the conscious experience of being someone definitive when you leave the abdomen and with the expansion of the body goes up to the head again. Leaving a state of not-knowing, you do by perceiving yourself to make a difference.

From the conscious experience of being someone definitive, you can again return to a state of not-knowing, which is done by not perceiving the thoughts and feelings constituting the experience of being someone to be something specific. Thus you leave the head with no particular thoughts and feelings when the body contracts and go with the flow of the breath down to the abdomen where you go up with the flow to the head and the conscious experience of you as someone definitive – and so on.

Having been in this flow for a while, it becomes automatic. Thus you appear to be someone who is conscious of itself but does not know what it means. In other words, you are in the world but not of it.

When not connected with the empty breath, grudges and so-called negative thoughts keep popping up as before. But as the after-effect of the connection is happiness you do not bother.

You cannot know when you are connected with the empty breath because you are in a state of not-knowing. Nor can you be aware of who it is, that is following the breath up and down because the contrast of up and down, in a short time, cancels out itself (read more about that here), so nobody is going nowhere.

As time is an illusion, the contrast making up the flow has already been cancelled out. More to the point, this or any other contrast has never existed because there is no more than that which is One since it is formless and therefore endless. But while you believe there is more than one, enjoy the illusion of going with the flow.

No more than that which is One
Should you forget to follow the flow and thus forget about the empty breath, there is no reason to condemn yourself for that because there is no self. It takes more than one to be or have a self, and as there is no more than that which is One, any kind of self is make-believe. For the same reason being with the empty breath is also make-believe. Read more about the illusion of experiences here:

Nevertheless, being with it makes it easier to not assume it is possible to be and have more than that which is One. And not believing that you do not perceive the experience of a world where there seems to be more than one to be something but nothing. Hence you enter the bliss of emptiness.

If you stay in this state of not-knowing for more than 20 minutes, 45 at most, at a time, the brain falls into a coma and, therefore, is unable to make the experiences that seem to manifest you as someone definitive. Thus there does not appear to be something hiding there never was and or will be more than that which is One. Hardly anybody, however, stays that long at a time in a state of not-knowing. But maybe long enough to sense that this is so.

See the hack 20 minutes, 45 at most, in Extra Duality Hacks or read the below articles

APPENDIX:
If you try to make the empty breath follow the physical breath, you cannot connect with the empty breath. On the contrary, you keep it at bay because the empty breath has nothing to do with bodily preoccupation. Actually, you will never know if the physical breath and the empty breath are aligned because you are in a state of not-knowing, when connected with the empty breath. Read more about that in The bliss of nothing.

For the same reason, the explanations in Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings about how it feels being connected with the empty breath are based on Alexius’ memories of the empty breath. And since they are perceived as ‘it is what it is’ (read more about that in The bliss of nothing), it does not matter to him if they are aligned or not.

It is a matter of speech when Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings say the empty breath fills you with emptiness. It does not supply you with anything. Instead, it replaces your perception of the body as something with nothing. Hence the body is acknowledged for what it is. The same applies to every other experience you have. They are all nothing disguised as something. Seeing that, there is not something to bother you. This is why it is so blissful to be connected with the empty breath.

What does ‘the empty breath’ feel like? [draft]

Updated January 19, 2022

The inner breath is not restricted to be felt as a specific form, neither to only be felt inside. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

As the empty breath is not something definitive, it cannot be experienced in a specific way. Yet, it can be felt in an undefinable way anywhere within its non-definitive framework – whether that appears to be inside or outside the body – but never consistently as the same, although it is always there.

The empty breath can be felt in many ways within its non-definable framework of a ball-like thingy that passes through the head – or above it – and the stomach or below it. Yet, it is not experienced specifically inside or outside the body. When connected with the empty breath, the experience of something cannot be located in its nothingness (read more about that here).

Having an out-of-body experience is based on the belief that you are someone reding in a body. This is the opposite of the experience that comes from being connected with the empty breath because it undoes the belief that you are someone in a body. Read more about that here.

Hence the connectedness with the empty breath is not an out-of-body experience but a no-body experience. However, this does not mean that you do not take care of the body and the world when connected with the empty breath, but that it makes no difference whether it seems to pay off.

In the connectedness with the empty breath there is nothing that appears disturbing. But trying to connect with it everything seems disturbing, because the purpose of trying is to delay. Thus you want to be disrupted.

The inner breath has no definitive center or anything else in a fixed position, so your experience of it may be different from mine. Maybe you primarily experience it in the stomach, in the chest or both inside and outside of your body within the non definitive borders of a ball. It may change from moment to moment, as  – unlike this image – it is not static. This image however illustrates when all its movements are experienced simultaneously, which feels as if the everything stands still.

The empty breath has no definitive centre or border or anything else that is in a fixed position. Everything is constantly moving, so the experience changes from moment to moment. Maybe it is felt in the area of the stomach or chest, or inside and outside the body. So if your experience differs from Alexius’ description, go with the flow as it comes to you.

Feelings are subjective
If you are future-minded, the empty breath might be felt to come from somewhere in front of you, whereas it probably is felt to arrive from the back if you are concerned about the past. And if you are into the concepts like living in the now, being centred and balanced, it might be felt as if it has a fixed centre. In other words, the experience of the empty breath is coloured by your conditioning.

This is not a problem for the empty breath, because contrary to you, it has no need to be acknowledged in a particular way. So whether you experience it to be in the stomach, the chest, inside or outside the body, it carries out its one and only purpose, which is to make you indifferent to the apparent different experiences in the world you believe to be.

The empty breath is indifferent to all the apparent differences of the world, so the more you connect with it, the more you adapt to this indifference and the less you want to be someone who makes a difference.

Since the empty breath is not static, its experience may change from moment to moment, and it may differ from those described in this article. No worries. Connecting with it is not about doing something specific to feel something definitive but going with the flow. Only when you want to make a difference, you must do ‘the right thing’.

I am not a talented illustrator, so instead of making an illustration of the inner breath, I have manipulated an image found on the internet in order to give you an idea of the simultaneously movements inside it.

This scientific illustration on the internet has been manipulated by Alexius to give you an idea of the simultaneously circular movements inside the non-definitive ball of the empty breath.

A basic intro to the non-definitive shape of the empty breath
The empty breath is modelled like an egg-shaped ball with lots of oval circles moving inside it, but contrary to what you see in the illustration to the right, it does not have a definitive centre or border. Nor do the circles inside it, and there are so many so close together that there is no space between them. In the emptiness of each circle, there is two yin-yang like waves. You cannot see this in the simplified illustration to the right but in the simulation in the second image from here.

That the empty breath has a non-definitive form does not only mean that its edges are blurry but that neither its size nor shape is constant. It may grow bigger and smaller here and there so that it momentarily feels to be more pear-shaped than egg-shaped, for example.

As there is no up and down in the empty breath, the most significant part of the pear-shaped version of it might be in the top as well as in the bottom, or on the sides, or anywhere in between. And as the apparent centre of each of the circles, appearing to be inside the non-definitive ball of the empty breath, is floating around, there are many no fixed centres.

Even though there appear to be an endless amount of diffused shaped circles inside the non-definitive boundaries of the empty breath, and they are moving in each their own direction with each their own yin-yang like formed waves moving inside of them, they are actually fused into one movement of two yin-yang like waves rolling in all directions – at bit like in the animation in the paragraph The swing of the empty breath or in the two last animations of this article.

But as that is very difficult to comprehend in a world where we are conditioned to divide reality into more than one, most will probably not feel the totality of the empty breath, but one of the many circles that seems to make it up. No worries. It is not about perfection but going with the flow as it comes to you.

The empty breath has no specific centre, and though it seems to consist of many different movements in their own size and shape, everything is actually fused into one single move. Since this can be hard to comprehend in a world where there seems to be more than one, it is most likely easier to experience just one of its aspects at a time.

This could be like going in a circle from the stomach around the back of the body to the top of the head when breathing in, and from there in a circular movement in front of the body and back to the stomach when breathing out. The direction, however, does not matter. As already said, it is all about going with the flow. So if that seems to go the opposite way, by all means, go that way.

The flow can also be in a circle, about the same diameter as above, that instead goes from the abdomen to the throat or rectum to the heart. You can expand the diameter so it goes from the abdomen to a point above the head or from the rectum to a point further above the head. These are just samples. If you experience the circle bigger or smaller or other places, go with that.

But no matter where you perceive the empty breath to be located, it is the same emptiness you experience a second before the brain processes it into an experience of something perceived as substantial (read more about that here). As the emptiness of the expanded circle metaphorically speaking goes from hell to heaven, you may feel frightened or spaced out if you get stuck in one of those extremes.

Going with the flow of the circular movement in one of the above circles feels like you are surfing two yin-yang like waves inside the empty breath. But this is just one of the ways to experience the empty breath. Below is a short introduction to them and then a more detailed description of each of them.

Be aware, though, feeling the empty breath, as described in this article, is only possible to the extent that you do not wish to be or have more spiritually, mentally, emotionally or materialistically because the empty breath has not anything to give but the sheer bliss of nothing.

A basic intro to the ways of feeling the empty breath
Sensing the operator of the empty breath (see the below paragraph of the same name) or the indifference of it (check out the section The empty breath is not the giver of joy and happiness but indifference in the article What is the empty breath about?) is a state of not-knowing in which you seem to be floating on clouds of bliss. In contrast, the state of not-knowing coming from the rhythmic flow is more like being moved by clouds of bliss.

The rhythmic flow of the empty breath can be heard as a distant sound (see the below paragraph The transparent sound of the empty breath) or felt inside the body (see the below section The swing of the empty breath), or sensed as if nobody is surfing two yin-yang like waves in and outside the body (see the next paragraph).

That being said, these categories are not meant to limit you to experiencing the empty breath in specific ways but to inspire you to experience it in your way.

d76fd0833b28d1db146c08a2dd2057d91-2

Each of the non-definable circles inside the non-definable ball of the empty breath – see the previous illustration – consist of two yin-yang like looking waves (but without the two holes) that are not fixated and probably move in sync with the breath – or rather the breath moves in sync with them. Therefore, it is not so much about following the extraction and contraction of the physical breath but the flow of the empty breath, which may feel like you are surfing the outside of the two yin-yang like waves more or less in sync with the physical breath. The colours in this image only have an illustrative purpose.

Surfing the empty breath
In the above illustration to the right, you see a very simplified simulation of the empty breath in which you cannot see that the number of circles inside it is endless. Nor does it reflect that the empty breath has no definitive border or centre, and each of the circles inside it contains two non-definitive waves like in the above image that can be surfed. Please notice that although the waves look like the two parts of a yin-yang sign, they have no holes. And as they actually are colourless, the colours in this image and all the others in this article only have an illustrative purpose.

When the body is expanded by the breath, you surf the outside of the yellow wave from the stomach and behind the body up in the head. From there, you surf the outside of the blue wave in front of the body down to the abdomen or below it while the breath is contracting the body. That is, if you are sensing the waves in a circle going from the back to the front of the body. See a more detailed explanation of the different possibilities for the placement of the circles containing the waves in the above intro to the empty breath.

Besides surfing the waves in that circle, you can surf the waves in a circle going from the left to the right side of the body and in circles anywhere in between these. No matter what circle you are surfing, most feel the waves in the circular movement outside the body.

It is not needed to be in total sync with the rhythm of the physical expansion and contraction of the body, nor does it matter if part of the circular movement is skipped. What matters is to follow the flow as it comes to you because that makes you forget the physical breath to take care of itself without any interruption from you being stressed or trying to inflict it with ideas of balance, tranquillity and whatnot.

Maybe the most ecstatic way to surf the waves is to go the whole way around one of them and then continue by going the entire way around the other, more or less aligned with the breath extracting and contracting the body. However, there might be even more joyous ways revealed to you when following the flow.

Alexius has never been surfing in the world of the outward-facing senses, so when he says going with the flow of the two yin-yang like waves in the empty breath feels like surfing, it is an imagination of his.

You may also surf the empty breath in the opposite direction. Going counterclockwise tends to lessen physical awareness, so you would become less interested in returning to a conscious experience of being someone substantial in a tangible world. The same applies if the non-definable edges of the empty breath are not experienced to touch the body but pass it on top of the head and below the abdomen, as that means there is almost no relation to the body when surfing it.

Thus the body is set free (read more about that here), so it can follow its biological system without you trying to unite the physical nature of the body with mental ideas of wellness, which is like trying to blend physical elements with the immaterial ones in a dream or vice versa. It does not work.

You cannot be someone definitive, when going with the flow of the empty breath, so the belief in being someone separated from the formlessness of that which is One is fading out.

Going with the flow without knowing where and why.

Surfing the empty breath to feel good regardless of the physical condition
You will, as already noted, mainly feel the flow of the waves in one of the many circles inside the empty breath. This will probably be in a circle going from the back of the body to its front or the other way around. But from there, you can also jump to the waves in another circle or feel them all simultaneously.

As it takes more than one to feel something, it is only in a world where there seems to be more than one that this is possible, so the more the belief in such a world is undone by the empty breath, the less you feel it.

Alexius was unaware of this before writing what the empty breath feels like and, therefore, took a closer look at it. He usually just follows the flow without thinking about direction and whatnot, because in his case, the flow primarily results in the sense of indifference.

It is, however, possible to be more choosy than Alexius is typical. Having worries about the past, or pain in the back, you can choose to be massaged by surfing both sides of the wave behind you and leaving out the one in front of you within a circle of the empty breath that goes from the back to the front of you. Should you want to be grounded, you can surf all the way around a single wave in a circle going from the back to the front of you where the waves are not located like in the above but in the top and bottom of the circle.

The wave you surf, in this case, is the bottom one passing through the abdomen or even lower in the direction from the back to the front of you, or the other way around, or the bottom wave in another circle going from the left to the right side of you, or both of the bottom waves in these circles, or the bottom wave in any one or more circles in between the two others. No reason to memorise this. Just go with the flow.

Just like what you believe to be is nothing, so is the empty breath, but unlike you, it has no need to conceal that by appearing to be something specific. Consequently, there is not something that prevents it from being what and where is most beneficial for you – even under your feet if that is what it takes to make you forget what you believe to be.

Supposing you want to enhance your impulsive or deliberate side. You could do this by respectively surfing all the way around the wave to the right and the left in a circle going around the head sideways. In a circle that also goes sidewise but around the chest, you could surf all the way around the wave in front of the chest if it is hollow and seems to restrict the breath. Surfing both waves but only on the outer side of them in a circle going sideways around the head or stomach is excellent in the case of vertigo, eventually combined with surfing the two waves back and forth of you in a circle going from your feet to above the head.

In the case of tight hips, blocked abdomen or spasm in the lower back, you completely surf the wave behind you and then the one in front of you in a circle going sideways in that area, and so on. You could also try surfing in a similar circle where the waves are not behind and in front of you but on the sides. The size of the circle and thus the waves adjust to the need for relaxing these areas. Is sadness released from there, you may feel like crying. If so, forget about the empty breath and take the time to grieve. Then return to the same circle of the empty breath if that is what the flow calls for.

Sometimes problems like spasms are the body’s way of shaking parts of the body into a position that benefits the whole. In such a case, spasms should not be healed, of course. But if that is not the case, you can use the empty breath to calm down the spasms.

Instead, it may call for surfing a combination of other waves, for example, a wave in front of you in a circle going sideways at the abdomen and a wave in front of you in a circle that does not go sideways but from the head to stomach or the other way. Maybe surfing them simultaneously or perhaps not just one of the waves in the circles but both waves in a circular movement around the abdomen and from the back and front of you – or whatever combination that seems beneficial to you regarding getting through the lockdown.

The empty breath is also beneficial for alleviating allergy symptoms or the symptoms of IBS and COPD, for example. However, it may not heal these or any other physical sicknesses because the purpose of Alexius’ Duality Hacks is not to heal the body but the sick belief you are in it. This the empty breath does by making you indifferent to being someone. Read more about that here.

Regarding the empty breath and how its nothingness helps reduce the symptoms of somethingness, Alexius speaks from personal experience because his body is not in the best condition, as he has never been very good at being something specific. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

In the case of Alexius, the state of his body is not that good, so he speaks from personal experience when he says that due to the indifference of the empty breath, IBS and COPD, for example, are not something he needs to get it over with to feel better, as the discomfort is not perceived to be something but nothing.

If you are not looking to get it right, nothing is wrong or missing. Hence every moment is the perfect moment (hack #4.1 Every moment is the perfect moment). You have no need to get it right if you face your anger, because then it does not seem wrong and you do not have hide it by looking right.

See also when Alexius was saved by helicopter from the rainforest, even though he did not feel there was something to be freed from. It is not just a rosy story, though, because the transition from perceiving desperation as something to nothing was very upsetting until he did not perceive hopelessness as wrong but that which set him free. See also the hack No Hope = Oneness in Extra Duality Hacks.

There are many possibilities for using the empty breath. Yet, it is best not to use it but instead be used by it, so going with the flow sets the body free to heal itself. This is why it is brilliant in the case of psychosomatic disorders. However, it is not commendable to catch every detail about the empty breath in this article because an intellectual understanding of it will not help you feel connected with it.

In hack #4.3 The toxic mix of physical and non-physical issues, you can read more about the unfortunate belief that one can mix physical and psychological issues results in psychosomatic disorders.

You cannot illustrate the inner breath, as it has no definitive form. This animation, however, may give you an idea about the ´structure´ of the inner breath and the high frequency of its inner movement, which seems to originate from an yin yang like curved line – not just as curved though. It feels like, it is the swing of this floating line that expands and contracts the body, so that it breathes in and out. Unlike an yin yang sign the inner breath is not a flat circle with a curved line, but rather a ball wherein the curved line swings upwards and downwards as well as sideways, forwards and backwards and everything in between. Unfortunately the animation is not able illustrate that, neither how slow the swing of it actually feels in the body. Even though it extremely active inside the ball, the experience of it is that it has all the time in the world to expand and contract the body.

It is impossible to illustrate the swing of the empty breath because it has no definable form or movement. This animation, however, may give you an idea about how the swing of it feels as if it is coming from a non-definitive curved line that is to be compared to the line in between the two forms of a yin-yang sign – but less curved. The swing of this line expands and contracts the body so that it breathes in and out. But unlike in a yin-yang sign, the swing of the empty breath is not inside a flat circle but rather a non-definable ball, wherein there are many non-definable circles with each their own curved line. Depending on where one of these circles are experienced to be located, the swing of the empty breath is experienced to swing upwards and downwards, sideways, forwards and backwards or anywhere in between. Unfortunately, the animation is not really illustrating this. Although the swing of it is magnificent, its experience often is that it is in no hurry to expand and contract the body.

The swing of the empty breath
What is said in the above about surfing the empty breath, generally speaking, also apply to feel the swing of it, except that this is solely felt inside the body, where the movement of the non-definitive curved line between the two waves is sensed as a swing, that extracts and contracts the body in a steady rhythmic flow of breathing in and out. Due to the definitive size of the body, this line is felt less curved and probably also shorter than the line in between the two waves described above.

The steady swing of the empty breath may seem to expand and contract the body slower than when you imagined being in charge of the breathing. Maybe the break in between expansion and contraction also feels too long. But the swing of the empty breath probably feels more powerful – so much indeed that at first, it feels like the body does not have enough room for it.

Just like surfing the empty breath can be done on the waves in any of the circles within the non-definitive border of the empty breath, the swing of it can be felt in the movement of the curved line floating in the middle of any one of these circles.

In other words, the curved line is not just pumping from the back to front in relation to the body but also up and down, from side to side and everywhere in between, which you may sense in the illustration to the left. Though you can feel all these directions simultaneously, it probably is so unfamiliar that you may prefer to feel the swing of the empty breath in one circle at a time.

The shape of the circles with the swing of the empty breath is more like an egg. See the illustration. The experience of the curved line inside ‘the egg’ may not seem logical. Breathing in, you may solely experience the swing of the empty breath in the bottom of ‘the egg’ and breathing out, in the top of it – or the other way around, or only in the bottom, or the top. You can also experience the whole curved line going back and forth or up and down at once.

To make long short, the empty breath behaves like a bird. If it has a pattern of flying where you cannot see it. So do not try to shape the empty breath, nor to let it be. Both attitudes fend of the experience because they imply you are in charge. So instead, acknowledge you are not in control. Using the technique for the taste of life, you automatically lose control because, whether you taste it or not, the method is beneficial for defocusing. And without focus, you are not in control.

Read about the taste of life and focus versus defocus in Perceiving the world as symbols of the four aspects of Enlightenment.

If you experience the swing of the empty breath in all the egg-shaped circles simultaneously, the fusion of them at first feels as everything is spinning. See the speedy animation just below. But it quickly turns into a feeling of everything standing so still – see the third image from here – that you feel the bliss of being indifferent to what and where you appear to be.

Connecting to the inner breath is fortunately not about perfection, as that requires much control and therefore blocks the inner breath to move on its own accord. The inner breath is always connected to you, but you cannot feel it if your purpose is to be someone definitive. In other words not being anybody the inner breath is not hidden. In fact it is very intense.

The swing of the empty breath is not felt as fast as the movements in this animation, but rather like a steady ongoing rhythm with much force that expands and contracts the body. Yet the resulting breath in the body is often very subtle and probably seems to be slower than you are used to – unlike the driving force behind the rhythm of the empty breath, that is a rush of energy within the non-definable ball of it. And even though the particles of this force is moving completely unstructured and at any speed, fast or slow – a bit like in this animation – it is such a relief to merge with this apparent chaos, as that prevents you from focussing on anything specific, so you feel like a fountain sparkling with joy.

The operator of the empty breath
Besides feeling the swing of the empty breath or as if you are surfing two yin-yang like waves more or less in alignment with the extraction and contraction of the physical breath, you can also feel a constant rush of energy within the non-definable border of the empty breath. This chaotic energy at the root of the empty breath is not rhythmic but abstract. Yet, it is the force behind the rhythm of the empty breath. The feeling of it is a subtle sense of being here, there and everywhere, or as if spinning through a world with no limits where you are not limited to be someone.

There are no rules, but it could very well be that a take-off into the empty breath will take you to this aspect of it … and what a relief it is to float in chaos instead of having to fit into the rigid world of the outward-facing senses.

Unlike the swing of the empty breath, but like surfing its waves, this force is sensed inside and outside the body. It is often more straightforward to feel its very subtle energy outside of the body as the dense bodily feeling is not an obstacle. If you do not try to catch its abstractness but go with its fleetness, you feel like a fountain of sparkling joy.

Sensing the operator of the empty breath outside of the body, you will automatically be taken inside, as the operator does not know one from the other. From there you probably are transferred to the rhythmic flow of surfing or feeling the swing of the empty breath.

The apparent chaos at the root of the empty breath, where the operator of it resides and where you most likely land after igniting the empty breath, is therefore a good starting point, when you want to be in the rhythmic flow of the empty breath.

If you, out of habit, try to focus on the empty breath to hear its transparent sound (see the next paragraph) or feel its rhythmic flow, you are bound to perceive it as something and thus fence it off. A more beneficial way to approach the rhythmic flow and transparent sound of the empty breath is to start in the chaos of its root – whether sensed in front or back of the body, on top of it or all around it – because that leaves nothing specifically for you to focus on, wherefore there is not something definitive blocking out hearing or feeling the rhythmic flow of the empty breath.

Hearing/feeling the sound of the inner breath, you feel transparent, as if there is nothing to separate you from where you appear to be. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

Hearing or feeling the sound of the empty breath, you feel transparent as if there is not something separating you from other appearances in the world of the outward-facing senses. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

Just like the rhythm of bass is heard and felt in the body, so is the sound of the empty breath, which is like ‘so’ when it expands the body and ‘ham’ when contracting it.

The apparently definitive shape of you in a body is, therefore, exposed as make-believe.

Sometimes it is like this rhythmic sound of ‘so-ham’ comes from the nose and at other times from an undefined space in the back of the head. And then again, the sound does not seem to have a definable location, so it is neither experienced to be inside or outside the head. It may even appear to originate from an invisible space outside the body like it has nothing to do with your appearance in a body.

And as that is actually so, feeling the sound of the empty breath is not a compelling experience like feeling the rhythm of the bass because it cancels out the feeling of being in a specific body – as if there is no definable border between the body and its apparent surrounding. A sofa, for example, does not seem to differ from the body sitting in it.

This is basically due to the brain not being able to create a conscious experience of the signals it claims to receive from the sensory system of the body, when you are deeply connected with the empty breath (read more about that here), wherefore there is nobody to divide them into judgments of inside and outside, good and bad, high and low, them and me and so on. Hence the apparent differences in the experience of a world where there seems to be more than one do not appear to make a difference.

Since this means there is nothing to define such a world, it becomes evident that it is not real but a fantasy made out of nothing. But just like the reality in the world of a game is the same whether you believe it is real or not, the reality of a world where there seems to be more than one remains the same when you sense it is an illusion. Your relation with it, however, is forever changed. Being someone definitive, there is all pretence – just like it is, within that reality, when one pretends to be in the world of a game. See hack #1.3 Pretending to be someone definitive).

ello-optimized-08ff975b

Do not get attached to the rhythm of the empty breath, because the feeling of the rhythm is related to the body, so it stops when the body ends.

Since a rhythm has a beginning and an end, it is best not to get attached to the rhythm of the empty breath in the swing or transparent sound of it, because it ends when the body stops to function. At that moment, it is better to merge with the indifference of the empty breath or the non rhythmic and very chaotic energy in the operator of it, so that there is not something specific to stop the Enlightenment of that which is One from absorbing the nothingness of you.

Via the transparent sound of the empty breath, you may naturally float into glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One. The visual-minded will experience this as visions of light, and the auditory minded as ethereal harmonies. However, if you are more emotional minded, you may feel the vibration that Aum, Sohang, and The Word of God symbolise or taste its sweetness.

The glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One, for example, the visual aspect, merges into one, if not interpreted as something specific. Hence there is no experience of that which is you being different from that which is One, so nothing seems to hide there never was or will be more than the formlessness of oneness.

Read more about how to have glimpses of the different aspects of the Enlightenment in the article Perceiving the world as symbols of the four aspects of Enlightenment – or how to have glimpses of Enlightenment. And read more about the Enlightenment of that which is One in hack #6.1 From the inward-facing senses through a black hole into that which is One.

However, the empty breath cannot be brought about by manipulating the physical breath or exercising any other form of control. Instead, it is the other way around. When you go with the flow, the empty breath joins you.

A bicycle has nothing to do with the place, it is transporting you to.

This is not to say that techniques cannot be helpful with toning down the experience of you as someone definitive so that the apparent existence of you in the tangible world fabricated by the brain does not seem to be a fact but make-believe. But, unfortunately, most forget that techniques have nothing to do with what they seem to accomplish. Just like a remote control have nothing to do with the music it triggers.

As the connection with the empty breath is a state of not-knowing there is no awareness of separation. Hence the apparent difference between past, now and future or you and Alexius does not make a difference.

It is not possible to illustrate the inner breath in its totality. This yon yang animation (please abstract from the holes) though may give you an idea of the simultaneously movement of the two waves inside the inner breath.

It is not possible to illustrate the empty breath in its totality. But this yin-yang animation (please ignore the holes, as there are no holes in the waves of the empty breath) may give you an idea about the simultaneous movement of the yin-yang like waves inside it.

The connectedness with the empty breath is a state of not-knowing
Nobody really knows what the connectedness with the empty breath feels like, as it is a state of not-knowing. So to write about that, he had to go back and forth between a state of not-knowing and the conscious experience of being someone and compile the vague memories of the empty breath popping up in his consciousness.

If the resulting descriptions seem patchy and confusing, you can use the disorientation to ignite a take-off into the empty breath. See how to do that in Take-offs into the empty breath and How to ignite a take-off into the empty breath.

The empty breath is not only to be experienced within its border, because it has no specific border, so if you are experiencing it somewhere else, you have really become indifferent to the belief in being someone definitive, because only as such would you expect to experience it somewhere specific.

Please remember that even though the connectedness with the empty breath is impersonal, what you remember afterwards is personal. Hence your memories may seem different than those of Alexius.

If still confused, you are welcome to mail Alexius, although using your uncertainty to ignite a take-off into the empty breath is preferable because he cannot help neither you nor himself as he sees nobody in need of help.

Thus you would be better off keeping on reading about it until you hardly can stay awake, then go to bed, forget what you read the empty breath feels like, close your eyes, and most likely it will be there in one way or the other. Indeed, they will rapidly change. That is, if you do not try to hang onto one of them. In that case, they will cease.

Your eyes do not have to be closed, and you do not have to go to bed. You can sit anywhere in any position. You can also walk, run and/or talk. But if you are new to the empty breath, it may seem easier to connect with it by partly cutting out the world of the external senses yourself instead of waiting for it to be toned down when the empty breath syncs it with the world the inward-facing senses. You should, however, never attempt to cut out the world of the external senses yourself in situations that require your full attention in driving a car, for example.

NOTE ABOUT NOTHING VERSUS SOMETHING
In the below articles, you can read about overriding the natural flow of nothing, so you appear to be something and thus fence off the empty breath:

The look of these sound waves reminds me in some ways of how it feels to be connected with the inner breath.

The look of these sound waves reminds Alexius of how the connectedness with the empty breath often feels and how that makes him indifferent to the apparent differences in the world experienced outside him.

NOTE ABOUT THE ILLUSTRATIONS
Alexius searched the web for animations and still photos to illustrate the different movements of the empty breath in the way he remembers them. He does not know if the illustrators had the empty breath in mind when they made these images – but probably not.

The animations – except the three last ones – are grabbed from Electromagnetic Plasma Energy Light.

Inclusiveness is a journey without distance

Updated January 3, 2022

When you do not look for appearances but that which makes it possible to experience them, you see that the apparent difference between you and something else makes no difference. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Those gathering in groups of nationalism, capitalism, socialism or another ism manifests their specific group by excluding everything, not in line with its principles.

First, they divide the world into right and wrong. Second, they eliminate everything judged wrong by projecting it onto other groups. Third, since the other groups, therefore, seem evil, they start to fight them.

When the fight is over, the winning group claims to be the good ones. »By doing the right thing, we have established we are the best,« they say. But they only seem to be better because they have projected the worst in themselves onto the losing groups.

Fortunately, Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings is not a new doctrine where you have to change or get rid of something to become better. On the contrary, there is no goal but to undo the belief in separation because, without it, there is nobody to change.

A journey without distance to that which is all-inclusive
When Henry Ford invented a faster vehicle than a horse-driving carriage, it was not just an improvement of the old type of transportation. Instead, he surpassed it and developed a new and much faster vehicle.

Likewise, Alexius’ Duality Hacks is not an update of ancient meditation methods, added soothing sounds, shaman sticks and whatnot. The hacks are built from scratch, founded on the haste of modern-day life, so you rapidly enter a state of not knowing and its bliss of nothing. On the other hand, meditation progresses at the pace of a horse-driving carriage, as it is based on the idea that you must exclude something to get better. Therefore, since there is always more to get rid of, you keep separating, thus never reaching wholeness.

Alexius’ Duality Hacks are about undoing the belief in separation by including the opposing parts in the contrasts making up the world of duality, such as the past and the future or good and evil. This does not require restraint, concentration, realisation or perfection.

But Alexius’ Duality Hacks is based on inclusiveness. This does not require sitting in a specific position with eyes closed or being with special people in unique surroundings. Instead, you include whatever you experience wherever you are. You cannot go wrong, not even if you forget being inclusive, because if so, you include your imperfection. Hence you are at full speed on a journey with no distance to that which is all-inclusive, namely non-duality since it is formless, thus endless.

You do not get to live in the now by excluding the past and the future because life is inclusive. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

When inclusive, a problem contains the solution
Being Inclusive starts by acknowledging separation – otherwise, there is nothing to include. For example, to experience something as specifically good, you must separate it from its opposite, bad – just like you exclude the white background that contrasts these black letters from your awareness to focus on reading the article.

If you begin to include these letters, they start to blur. Eventually, there is not anything specific to see, wherefore there does not appear to be something hiding the formlessness of oneness.

Next, you include what you excluded. In the context of reading this article, you fully bring back the white background into your awareness. This makes it impossible to focus on the black letters, wherefore there is no article to read. In other words, by including the excluded, the two sides of a polarity cancel out each other. Therefore, since there is nothing specific to experience, thus nothing to make the experiencer definitive, the belief in separation falls apart.

By the way, you do not have to be aware of both sides in the polarities to include them. Instead, you include the part you are conscious about. This automatically incorporates its counterpart because everything comes in pairs in a world of duality, like two sides of a coin. See also hack #4.4 The duality flow goes to non-duality.

In other words, when one side of a coin is included, there is nothing to define the other side. Hence the sides do not appear separated but partners putting together a coin experience. Regarding feelings, if you include pain, for example, it is revealed to be in an alliance with its counterpart relief. Hence your problem contains the solution.

Another way to put it, nothing can be experienced without its contrast. Therefore, if you devote yourself so much to a problem that there is nothing but that, there is not something to define it. Consequently, there is no problem causing suffering.

This is not the way to realise non-duality. It cannot be known because it takes more than one to become aware of something. But it is a way to see that there is no more than that which is One. This you realise when you are fully inclusive. But you probably start little by little. No worries. As already said, inclusiveness is a journey without distance.

CANCELLEX How to sense the oneness of life in a world where there seems to be more than one

Updated December 31, 2021

The one having a dream is not to be seen there but everyone in the dream is there because of the dreamer, so if there is no focus on the appearances of a dream the content becomes obvious, namely the dreamer. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

If not for the energy of the dreamer, the world in the dream would not appear to be there, so if those who seem to be in the dream do not identify with their appearance but the energy that makes it possible to experience their appearance, it is only the experience of this appearance, that will vanish when the dreamer wakes up. The energy of the dreamer goes on unaffected. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

There is no more than the oneness of life because it is formless and therefore endless. Hence a world where there seems to be more than one is not there. It is a fantasy founded on the wish to be and have more than the oneness of life, which is carried out by imagining, that it is possible to fragment it into opposites like good and bad, right and wrong, light and dark and so on.

So if you consider yourself and the group of people, you believe to be a part of, to be better than the rest of the world – or in any other way to be different from it – you are enhancing the belief in this fantasy of fragmenting oneness into contrasts of opposites, and therefore making it appear as if life is separation and not oneness.

When two sides of a contrast – for example positivity and negativity – are neither judged to be good or bad, none of them are excluded, and so the apparent difference between them cannot be experienced. Hence a world where there seems to be more than one appears so bland, that its lifelessness is exposed.

But if you consider your group to be equally good and bad, the two sides of this contrast cancel out each other, which means the group is non-definable and therefore not a contrast to the rest of the world, so there is nothing to acknowledge the belief in separation. And without it, there is no foundation for experiencing a world where there seems to be more than one.

A world without life can only be perceived because of life.

The graphic is grabbed from the web.

There is no way for a dreamer to control the dream, neither can the appearances in it do that. But they can choose how to perceive it. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

Though it is the power of the dreamer that generates a dream, the dreamer is not in control of it, neither are those appearing to be there. But appearing to be there, you are free to choose how to perceive it. And if perceived to be a symbol of the power generating it, the same applies to your appearance. So when it ends, that which it symbolises, namely the energy of the dreamer, is still there.

Check hack #2.1 Everything experienced is a symbol of life if you want to read more about seeing everything in the world as a symbol of life.

Everything experienced in a world where there seems to be more than one is bound to end, but that which is used to generate the experience goes on regardless, because it is formless and therefore endless. So if you do not identify with what you experience to be, but that which makes it possible to experience it, there is no end.

In other words, if everything experienced in a world where there seems to be more than one is perceived as a symbol of the oneness of life, which is the power making it possible to experience such a world, there is only an end to the experience of the symbols but not to that which they symbolise.

Personal perception and not facts are the foundation for any experience in a world where there seems to be more than one. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

PART 2:
Reading the word beer is not the same as drinking it. The word is just a symbol pointing towards the experience of it.

If you sense the smell of beer, while reading the word, it is an imagination based on something you have experienced in the past and labelled as beer in order to keep it separated from other experiences.

In the same manner that which is one is not in Alexius´ Enlightened Non-Teachings. They are just symbols of it. But contrary to the word beer they do not point to the experience of it, because it cannot be experienced, as it takes more than one to experience something. And as it also takes more than one to point to something, Alexius´ Enlightened Non-Teachings do not point to that which is one. Furthermore, it is formless and therefore endless, so there is nothing outside of it, that can point to it.

For the same reason there is no world where there seems to be more than one, and therefore no reason to point to that which is one but that everything perceived is an illusion, which includes angels, soul, god and Alexius´ Enlightened Non-Teachings.

It is not possible to choose anything but that which is one, because it is formless and therefore endless. Yet you believe you know better – otherwise you would not insist in being someone in a world where there seems to be more than one.

In other words, any experience is just as illusionary as another – also that you have a choice. Yet it can be beneficial to believe, you have a choice because that means you are free to choose that which is one. Choosing it, however, is to not choose, because it takes more than one to choose something and there is no more than that which is one.

Follow the echo of one perpetual present

There is no life in a virtual world – only in the perceiver, who is also the sender. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

There is no life in a virtual world – only in the perceiver of it. And what is perceived as received is a projection of the perceiver. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

PART 3:
Pretending to be someone in a world encapsulated by time and space instead of believing to be there (read more about that here), you may look like a tourist because you are not concerned with appearances but that which makes it possible to experience them.

This is to be compared to not being bothered with the world appearing to be on the screen of a computer but instead with the computer itself, as no matter how much the virtual world on the screen excites you, it can only appear there because of the computer.

That which is life brings you back home when you bid it welcome, which you do by seeing all appearances as symbols of that which makes it possible to experience them, namely that which is life.

The computer though does not know anything but the formless chaos of zeros and ones, so it has no knowledge of a world encapsulated by time and space, that an app has generated from its zeros and ones and placed on top of it. In this little fiction, the app, of course, is a metaphor for the brain and its rendering of you as someone living in a capsule of time, and space the computer for that which is life.

Yet the computer somehow knows, it is being used for something else than the formlessness of one perpetual present. It also knows, that whatever this is, it is an illusion, because formlessness is endless so there is no more than one perpetual present.

Nevertheless, it sends out an echo of itself into nowhere, where it is symbolised by the vibration that AUM and Sohang represents. By following this, you are sure to forget the experience of being in a world encapsulated by time and space. Thus nothing seems to cover, there is no more than one perpetual present.

Read the article Life has no secrets if you want to learn how to hear or feel this echo symbolised by the words AUM and Sohang. If you also want to learn how to see and taste it, check out Perceiving the world as symbols of the four aspects of enlightenment – or how to have glimpses of enlightenment.

Everything said about one perpetual present is a metaphor. It cannot be experienced because that requires more than one, and there is no more than that which is one since it is formlessness and therefore endless. The animation is grabbed from the web.

PART 4:
In the case that this article has been downloaded, it has been stored totally chaotic on your hard disk. The end of it may appear to be located before the beginning. And fragments of the images might be piled up with pieces of something added in the past.

Nothing on a hard disk is separated into concepts of beginning and end or past and future. Neither is anything ordered into categories of importance. There are no labels or anything else to separate what is one chaos of zeros and ones. Hence it remains unaffected of what and when you perceive something specific to be added.

In a world of duality everything is classified in contrasts of for example good and bad, so that  you can be good by making others bad.

Non-duality is comparable to the above description of a hard disk in the sense that it is one perpetual present. Read more about that here. And just like the content of a hard disk is not meaningful to those believing they are somebody definitive in a world of linear time without manipulating the content, neither is the chaos of one perpetual present.

Positive thinking is like anything else in a world of duality based on manipulation. In this case it is an attempt to manipulate ones perception by excluding negativity, so there seems to be a rose-coloured world exactly as it is believed it should be. See also the article Positive thinking is bullshit.

In an attempt to make chaos meaningful, non-duality is imagined to be separated into a world of duality, that just like the desktop of a computer is a virtual layer, where everything is divided into contrasts of past and future, beginning and end, big and small and so on so that it seems a world organised by time and space hides the chaos of one perpetual present underneath it. Read more about that here.

Contrary to non-duality everything in duality is labelled, so it can be kept separated in contrasts of happiness and sadness, left and right and so on, because without contrasts a world of duality cannot be experienced.

Labels separate. The image of Jim C is grabbed from the web.

To be and have more than that which is one you separate everything into contrasts of being happy and sad, good and bad and so on so that you can be more good and less sad by blaming others for being bad. This is not to say that Jim Carrey, who is pictured here, is doing this, but that you are doing it – otherwise you would not be able to perceive him as different from you. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

In non-duality, there are no labels, so there is nothing to be or have, which is not a problem, as it is that which is one and it takes more than one to have a problem.

But it is a problem if you want to be and have more than that which is one because it is formless and therefore endless, so there is no more than that – except if you imagine it to be divided into fragments of contrasts like you and them, good and evil. Justice and injustice, and so on, so that it becomes a world of duality where good defines evil, you define others, justice defines injustice and vice versa.

In other words, you only seem to exist because of others, there is nothing good without evil and no justice without injustice and vice versa.

The purpose of Alexius´ Enlightened Non-Teachings is not to tell the truth but that there is no truth because it cannot be defined without a contrast, and there is no more than that which is one.

That being said, the above is not an attempt, to tell the truth. It cannot be defined without being separated from its contrast, bullshit, and as non-duality is formless and therefore, endless separation is an illusion.

There is no truth outside of non-duality, neither inside, as it is formless and therefore have no sides.

In other words, there is no truth, and it is not possible to imagine a world of duality, as that requires separation. Hence it follows that the explanations in Alexius´ Enlightened Non-Teachings are just as illusionary as anything else in a world of duality. Nevertheless, if they seem to expose that, they have served their purpose.

Inclusiveness turns death into a portal to that which is One [DRAFT]

Updated January 19, 2022

The graphic is grabbed from the web.

This graphical illustration of a so-called out-of-body experience is not entirely correct. You observe yourself from above, but the observer is nowhere to be seen. Since this observation is done from another angle than usual, you conclude you are outside the body. Yet you have never been inside or outside of it. What and where you appear to be is a story made by the brain. And you only agree to believe it because otherwise, you are nothing. However, in the moment of death, the brain does not have enough oxygen to uphold the images sustaining your belief. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

VERSION 1:
In the moments leading up to death, the brain slowly runs out of oxygen. Thus it does not have enough to fabricate the usual images of a tangible world experienced to be outside of you. Therefore, since thoughts and feelings no longer can be assigned to a tangible world outside of you, they chaotically rush by until there is no more. In other words, when the body is in the process of termination, what and where you experienced in being fade out. But before it is totally over, thoughts pass by rapidly in a fashion that seems unstructured. That is if you do not hang onto some of them in an attempt to keep or dismiss something from your time as someone substantial in a tangible world. If you do that, you seem stuck inside your thoughts and feelings because they cannot be assigned to something. The brain has stopped producing the experiences of a tangible world outside of you, so there is nobody to love and hate.

This feels very claustrophobic. Yet, you are not boxed in by your selected thoughts and feelings but by your desire to be someone verified by them. So if you do not look for something to prove that you are someone, thoughts and feelings pass by immediately. This includes the thoughts and feelings of being someone who experiences them.

But if you have been accustomed to excluding uncomfortable thoughts and feelings to create a comfortable image of yourself while your body and brain functioned well, you will do the same when it is about to break down. In other words, death is smooth if you are used to being inclusive.

In that case, thoughts pass rapidly, and when that is over, feelings rush by. Therefore, since there is nothing to confirm the illusion of time and space, you are what you always have been and will be, namely formless. That is the freedom to be one and one only. It is very peaceful because it leaves out anything that requires more than one, such as thinking and feeling.

To make long short, by not being exclusive but inclusive, your appearance in a world where there seems to be more than one is a simple ride, and the moment of death is a portal to that which is One. No fear is holding you back when everything is included, so there is nothing to hide that which is you is no different from that which is One.

As it takes more than one to have a problem there is not a single one in that which is One – neither anything to fear.

38455201.BUGSTV_0224

When the TV screen is blank, there is no world to see there. So what you see is what you believe to be. This is also what you see when there appears to be a world on the TV screen because the world is in the eye of the beholder. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

VERSION 2:
A near-death experience can be compared to watching a movie on the TV screen. Suddenly the screen turns blank, and only the sound is left. The world on the TV is gone, and there is nothing but the sound of your thoughts.

When death is about to set in, the brain starts running out of oxygen, so it does have not enough to fabricate the usual images of a world defined by time and space. But instead, it processes sedative images, like tunnels of light, to prevent you from panicking when it cannot produce the usual experience of a world defined by time and space.

But if you do not believe to be someone at all, nobody experiences tunnels of light or other spaced out things to hide a world defined by time and space is a fantasy that is about to end.

An out-of-body experience is just as hallucinatory as an in the body. That which is you is neither in nor outside of anything. It is the formlessness of everything.

At the moment of death, you are sucked into a black hole. That is if you do not try to define it because then you uphold the belief in being someone definitive. When the light at the edges of the black hole explodes into a light so bright that there is not something specific to experience, you feel like exploding too, and if not avoiding it, the nothingness of you gently falls into the formlessness of that which is One. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

VERSION 3:
When the body is dying, the brain cannot produce a world that confirms the belief that there is more than that which is one. Hence there is nothing to hide, there is no more than the formlessness of oneness. That is if you do not hang onto memories about a world where there seems to be more than one. If so, it seems very scary and claustrophobic when the tangibility of a world where there seems to be more than one cannot be felt.

Fortunately, there is no such need when the belief that there is more than that which is One is undone. This it is when everything in a world where there seems to be more than one is included, as that cancels out the apparent difference between your experiences so there is no experience that seems to hide that which cannot be experienced, namely the formlessness of oneness.

If you want to be at one with a soulmate, the universe, god and whatnot, the formlessness of oneness will seem claustrophobic to you because it takes more than one to be at one with something, and oneness has only room for one.

In other words, the inclusion of everything experienced does not result in you embodying everything and therefore being at one with the universe. On the contrary, your apparent existence as someone definitive is over because when nothing is excluded, you are not definable.

For the same reason, there are no memories left of a world where there seems to be more than one, nor a sigh of relief from having escaped it. There is no more than that which always was and will be, namely the formlessness of oneness.

Since it takes more than one to be conscious of something, it is only in a world where there seems to be more than one this is possible, so if you do not want the belief in such a world to hide that there is no more than that which is One, do not hang onto consciousness, when you at the moment of death seem to lose it.

And as the consciousness of such a world is limiting, it hides the formlessness of oneness, which is everything there is, since formlessness is endless. So when you on the moment of death seem to lose consciousness of such a world or anything else, do not hang onto it, because it takes more than one to be conscious, so without it, there is nothing to hide, there is no more than that which is One.

Not hanging onto the consciousness of being someone feels like the end of you. But it is not the end of anything other than the belief it is possible to be and have more than that which is One.

How to not be fearful but blissful

Updated January 19, 2022

It requires much effort to be exclusive, whereas inclusiveness requires none because you are inclusive when you are not exclusive. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

The more beauty you look for, the more ugliness you will be exposed to because beauty cannot be defined without ugliness. That is how it is when you believe to be in a world of duality. It can only be experienced through contrasts.

Fortunately, contrasts can also be used to undo the belief in duality. For example, when beauty is entirely included by you being nothing but beautiful, there is not something to contrast you and thus nothing to define you as somebody. Therefore, there is nobody to perceive the apparent difference between beauty and ugliness to make a difference. Thus duality falls apart.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Since the opposing sides of a contrast are defined by each other, you cannot have one without the other. Hence no contrast = no definition = no experience = no duality = non-duality.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Exclusiveness generates the belief in scarcity, whereas inclusiveness creates nothing. Therefore, since there is not something to miss when being inclusive, you are in a pool of bliss.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

When a feeling like hate is justified with the world, hatred seems to be excluded from you. But this also includes love because when hate cannot be experienced internally, neither can its contrast love. However, as these emotions only are excluded from your awareness, they remain in you, hidden behind a feeling of fear in the emptiness generated by your dissociation of hate and love.

Emptiness also comes from the inclusion of hate because that leaves nothing to contrast it, wherefore it is undefinable. Hence neither hatred nor its contrast, love, can be experienced. However, since this emptiness is not based on the suppression of feelings but their inclusion, it does not result in fear but the bliss of nothing.

In a state of not-knowing, nothing seems to be different from you. That is pure bliss Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

In this state of emptiness, nothing in a world where there seems to be more than one appears to make sense. Since it is a state of not-knowing, you cannot know how long you are in it. But measured in linear time, it is not that long – at least not if you want to return to the consciousness of being someone in a world where there seems to be more than one. In that case, you quickly have to return to the conscious experience of being someone definitive, so you can perceive to differ from what you experience.

When doing that, the world appears to be just like before you entered a state of not-knowing, except you are approaching it less emotionally. This does not mean there are no emotions, but that you play with them instead of being played by them. This may offend others, but that is not a problem if you are inclusive because the less there is a need to be part of a world where there seems to be more than one.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Instead of trying to escape uncomfortable thoughts and feelings, experience them so much that you are nothing but what you want to avoid. Since a thought or a feeling needs to be contrasted to be experienced as something specific, what you want to refrain from will simply vanish when this is all that you are.

Be aware, though, that if you experience hate to the extent that you are nothing but that, not only hate will go away but also its contrast love, as they are two sides of the same coin.

In other words, each feeling has a prize. For example, the prize of love is hate. You cannot have one without the other. And if you have none of them, you have nothing. Acknowledging that, there does not appear to be something to hide non-duality.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

You want to believe, it is possible to be and have more than that which is one, so you imagine there is a world outside of the formlessness of that which is one, where there is more than one. But there is nothing outside of oneness since it is formless and therefore endless. Nor is there something inside, as without an outside, there is no inside.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Without contrast, the cat would disappear in empty space. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

The less the opposing elements of a contrast appear to make a difference, the less they produce meaning – and since bliss comes from the absence of meaning, there is nothing but that.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Should you want to remain in a world of duality, you must always hold back so that you do not lose yourself in the intensity of an experience. Finding mistakes or claiming that you need time to process what has happened are common ways of holding back so that you do not lose yourself in the intensity of the moment.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

If you, by reflex, exclude specific feelings as soon as they pop up, and at the same moment forget what you excluded and why there is no need to change that. Nor do you need to improve your understanding of inclusiveness if the explanations seem a bit complicated.

Whatever you appear to be in a world where there seems to be more than one needs no correction – only the belief that you are this appearance, and not the formlessness of oneness, needs to be corrected. This occurs when you entirely include what you experience to be at this moment. Are you not aware of that, you simply include feeling foggy by being willing to be nothing but in a haze. Since that leaves nothing to define what you are, you are empty and thus not what you appear to be.

The willingness often comes from admitting that you are not willing to be completely inclusive because even though it results in pure bliss, it is the end of you as someone definitive since bliss is the absence of being someone at all.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

If you want to undo the belief in duality, do not hold back feelings or slow down thoughts but follow the flow of them unedited. This makes the experience of sex, for example, so intense that it obliterates itself because in the ecstasy of it, there is no room for anything else, and there is not something to be experienced without a contrast. Hence there is no experience, and therefore no experiencer to believe in duality.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Willingness to include the moment unfiltered undoes the belief in being someone definitive. This willingness, however, nobody has, but by admitting that, you are including the moment as it is. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

A sure way to not exclude but include is not knowing what is going on, as that means there is not something to exclude.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Alexius’ Duality Hacks are not about undoing mistakes in a world where there seems to be more than one, but the belief that there is more than that which is one.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

When you cannot remember what you included, it has been wholly included.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Thinking you are in a joyful mood because of the sunset or the wind refreshing your warm body, you justify the feeling of joy and thereby dissociate yourself from it in proportion to how much it is justified to be caused by something perceived outside of you.

You probably choose to distance yourself from feeling too much joy because that would make you forget yourself. Hence there would be nobody to control your appearance as sexy and good-looking in the sunset – or in the future setups, you have planned as someone definitive. In other words, the imagination of being someone specific seems more exciting than that which cannot be imagined, nor experienced, namely the formlessness of oneness.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Assuming one needs to process what is going on, most go ahead as if it is driving a car with the brakes on. However, holding back does result in fear, whereas releasing the brake is pure joy because it comes from going so fast that there is no time to define what and where you are. Be aware that this is a metaphor, so when physically driving a car, you use the brake when needed.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Although Alexius´ cat, Uma, is dead, their love affair goes on because Alexius has included his experience of i. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Including somebody makes them live forever, However, not in the limited way when they were defined by what had been excluded from them. But in an all-inclusive manner. It is a bit like when you fall in love, many people look like the one you fancy. In the case of somebody included, though, everything you see is a reminder of them as they were and thus of everything.

In the case of Alexius, he had a cat that died in his arms when it was only eight months old. Alexius had felt very touched by her in her short life, so for a long time, he woke up crying every day. He tried to find pleasure in the memories of their time together, but when the images of his cat, Uma, started to fade, he realised he was on the wrong track.

In the memories of Uma, she represented something defined by time and space, and she was not definable anymore. So instead of trying to uphold the memories as something specific, he included them. Therefore, since they became boundless, the feeling of Uma was in everything. Hence there was no loss to mourn.

Sometimes, though, he forgot that. But grieving only resulted in fleeting memories, so he returned to the stable feeling of Uma in everything. He managed this by not blocking the breath from going through the muscles involved in crying. Therefore, since the muscles softened instead of cramping up and making him cry,* they did not maintain his previous relation to Uma as someone specific.

And when Uma is everywhere, she is also in Alexius´ memories. Thus he can enjoy his past physical moments with Uma like the ongoing non-physical ones accompanying his present experiences, making them all pleasurable.

There is more about Alexius and Uma in You undo the belief in duality by enjoying it, and about death in Inclusiveness turns death into a portal to that which is one. In hack #4.3 The toxic mix of physical and non-physical issues, you can read more about upholding a specific perception by holding back your breath.

Perceiving everything as ‘it is what it is,’ any experience feels good enough

*) This is not meant to say, crying is wrong. But sometimes, it is better not to follow the flow of muscles leading to crying, and instead fall into the flexibility of the muscles and thus feel relaxed.

NOTES:

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

You cannot choose to have the belief in being inside a body undone if you do not honour your choice of being physical. This is not done by becoming purer, transforming the aura and whatnot but by dealing with the body´s need for shelter, food, clean teeth and so on.

‘Every moment is the perfect moment’ – also for dying in the rainforest [draft]

This article is about the rescue of Alexius from the rainforest, where he was about to die after two days without food and water. In television, they called him the hero who survived the wilderness. However, this is not about heroic stuff, but that every moment is the perfect moment.

In 2010 Alexius was stuck in a rainforest for two days without food and water. He followed a dried-out river down the mountain towards the sea, but the closer he came to the sea, the more impenetrable the rainforest became. At the end of the first day, Alexius gave up digging his way through the thorny lianas.

He hallucinated during the second day and prepared himself to die of cold and/or dehydration in the coming night. However, everything was so beautiful that it did not seem important to continue as a separated being. Besides, there was nothing unfulfilled in his personal life. Alexius’ mundane longings had all been met. But at the end of the second day, he was rescued by a helicopter.

The formlessness of life
Before the helicopter arrived, it was like the person inside the body of Alexius died per its script. It was replaced by an impersonal version of him having only one goal: giving back everything it received to where it came from. The brain heavily backed this replacement because it thinks a self is not meant to be definitive but relative. Read more about that in hack #4.1 The basic self versus the special one.

However, since giving everything back to its source is beyond the brain, Alexius did not know how to do that. The brain suggested he should do something great for all mankind? But he sensed it was not about greatness. Actually, it was not about doing but perceiving. Since life is formless, a world defined by time and space is lifeless and thus a fantasy. But there is no illusion without reality, so every part of the fantasy symbolises the formlessness of life.

1005P5217810-Edit-Edit-Edit

When experiences are not perceived as personal but symbolise life’s formlessness, they do not establish us as separated beings. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Therefore, when a world defined by time and space is perceived as a symbol of life, it goes back to the formlessness of life. Hence our experiences do not seem to have any effect, nor do they establish us as somebody definitive. See also hack #2.1 Everything experienced is a symbol of life.

The world is a construction of fragmented thoughts.
You can compare the formlessness of life to having just one thought. It is pure peace. But if that thought is divided into two, peace is over because they need to differ to appear divided. Therefore, one thought as a separate entity, called a Person, looks at the other as a World outside it. And to uphold the illusion that there is more than one, the division goes on. The thought called the World is divided into black and white thoughts. And the thought that watches a World in black and white outside it is also divided into two, namely a Judge and an Executioner.

Thus we have a Person who chooses between experiences divided into black and white. And then a Judge dividing thoughts into right and wrong so the black experiences can be punished for being wrong. When the Executioner has carried out the punishment, the Person feels good because now it is off the hook. Someone else is guilty of the mess that separation seems to entail. Read more about projections here. However, since this arrangement sets other divisions in motion, the relief is short-lived. So, again and again, the interaction of Person, WorldJudge and Executioner is used to make someone else look bad and yourself good.

Although this happens as an inner dialogue inside a Person, it is often projected onto something seen as outside of it. For example, what feels wrong inside the World of a Person is projected onto something perceived as the evil in the World outside of a Person, such as immigrants, the deep state or communists. The Judge may be projected on a god, parent, boss, or lover. And perhaps society is seen as the Executioner.

Nevertheless, this system never makes a Person feel good enough because it is the reason for feeling bad. Read more about that here. But let us return to Alexius in the rainforest to see how he dealt with it emotionally:

If I fear how the helicopter guys judge my tripin the rainforest, it´s actually my ownjudgment of the trip, that I fear.

If Alexius fear how the helicopter guys judge his trip in the rainforest, it is actually his own judgment of the journey he fears. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Enough is enough
Alexius had to make his way through lots of thorny lianas in the dried out river he followed down the mountain to get out of the rainforest. The thorny lianas came in bundles. Sometimes it took half an hour to pass a distance of them, that if not for the bushes of lianas tightly woven together could have walked in two minutes.

His feet were hurting because two nails had been ripped when he fell down the mountain several times due to branches being so dry that they broke when he tried to hold onto them. Moreover, due to the thorns in the bushes, his clothes were torn apart. Alexius’ hands were full of blood. And each time he came out on the other side of a bundle of thorny bushes, Alexius was so exhausted that he decided the immense beauty he saw was wrong.

Hence the Judge inside Alexius ruled that the experience of a World far away from the known one should be eliminated and the ones to blame for it should be punished. But, although the Executioner worked hard on doing that, the bad experience did not go away, and the guilty ones could not be found. This enhanced Alexius’ feeling of being wrongful treated. But when he was about to explode, he suddenly had enough of feeling entrapped by conditioned judgments and solutions.

So he stopped deciding between right and wrong. Hence there was no punishment to be ruled out by the Judge and, consequently, nothing for the Executioner to set right. But, of course, that did not mean the bad World disappeared. But that instead of trying to get rid of it, Alexius included it. Thus what he had perceived as bad did not seem to hide, everything was fine as it was. Nothing was wrong or missing. The moment was the perfect moment.

In the middle of nowhere, Alexius had no need to go anywhere. The moment was perfect as it was.

This was not an intellectual but an emotional change for Alexius. When he stopped trying to get rid of his frustrations of feeling stuck, he burst out in laughter because there was nothing he needed to escape. Thus the journey in the rainforest seemed to mirror running from the moment as it is until, suddenly, out of nowhere, Alexius did not look for anything to fix.

It looks like there is a unique bird is sitting on the tree. But it is a hallucination. The ‘bird’ is not a separate entity but part of the tree, which is part of the rainforest, which is … Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Life sees no differences
The foursome of Person, World, Judge and Executioner consider themselves essential in making a world defined by time and space appear real. Yet, they cannot do that without breathing. But it does not seem to care about them because no matter what and where the foursome makes us appear to be, the breath steadily goes on.

In other words, just like electricity does not see what a bulb illuminates in a room due to the power of electricity, the force behind the breath, namely life’s formlessness, does not know what it empowers. Also, like nobody illuminated by electricity can see it, a Person empowered by life’s formlessness cannot realise it because it is not contained in what it empowers. That is why, like a movie or a book consists of nothing but symbols, the foursome and everything they seem to manifest is a symbol of life.

In the case of Alexius, he is aware of this because having vague memories of falling through a black hole into the formlessness of oneness, he knows there is nothing but the formlessness of oneness (see hack #6.1 From the inward-facing senses through a black hole into that which is One). However, that is beyond the subject of this article. So we round up by exploring the perfect moment Alexius discovered in the rain forest:

What a perfect moment hanging in the air.

Every moment is the perfect moment. Nothing is wrong or missing. This was crystal clear to Alexius, hanging in the air when he was wired up from the rainforest by a helicopter. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

A perfect moment is all-inclusive
Life’s formlessness includes everything because formlessness is endless, so there is nothing but that. Since a perfect moment is inclusive, it confirms the formlessness of life, whereas living in the now denies it, as it excludes thoughts of the perceived future and past.

A perfect moment can last the whole hour you bravely make your way through bushes of thorny lianas, or the second you feel the horror of going through thorny bushes replaced with the relief of getting out, or the minutes you see a helicopter circling around to find you. Or a whole day where you forget everything about the perfect moment and hate the rainforest.

Any thought or feeling passing by is part of the totality that makes a perfect moment. It is not flawless like a music video, though. There are ups and downs, but they are comparable to the thrill of riding up and down on a roller coaster.

The idea of a perfect moment or giving symbols of life back to life´s formlessness only works within a world defined by time and space. Therefore, like anything else in such a world, they must be given up at some point. ´To give up´ must also go, as it is only in such a world there is something to give up.

In other words, the articles in Alexius´ Enlightened Non-Teachings are written within the illusion of a world defined by time and space. Otherwise, there would be nothing to write about!

APPENDIX
In 1972 Alexius bid welcome the enlightenment of that which is One. However, after telling someone about it, he realised he could not share it. Hence he refrained from that until meeting his astral friend Gudruång on a trip to Crete in 2004. But it was not until after Alexius was rescued from the rainforest, that Gudruång told him to tell his story about the enlightenment of that which is One to the World.

It took a year before Alexius began writing and two more years before he started publishing it. And he had no idea that it would turn into eight duality hacks. Actually, he had never used the word duality before he started writing his enlightened non-teachings.

At first, he was blown out by his realisation in the rainforest that every moment is the perfect moment. But maybe this was more a personal thing. After all, not many can go on a similar trip into the rainforest. Besides, it is pretty dangerous. So maybe you are better off going with the duality flow, which is very much like a perfect moment. See hack #4.4 The duality flow goes to non-duality.

You could also take it a step further as we do in the nest hack, hack #3.2 Inclusiveness is freedom, or in hack #5.2 Uncontrolled speed leads to a state of not-knowing.

From non-duality to duality and back

It is not possible to drink the water from the bottle in this pic, because the bottle is a simulation – but it is possible to imagine to drink the water. The imagination will never quench your thirst though.

It is impossible to drink the water from the bottle in this image because it is a simulation. Nevertheless, it is possible to imagine drinking it. However, this fantasy will not quench your thirst. Likewise, it is impossible to be fulfilled in a world where there seems to be more than one because it is a simulated reality on top of that which is One. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

That which is One

… is no different from the formlessness of that which is you. But as formlessness has no size, it is nothing. Yet, it is also everything because formlessness is endless. In other words, there is no more than the formlessness of oneness, also called non-duality.

Schräge Parallelen

Nothing in the world is what is seems to be. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

Since it takes more than one to see something, you must tricked yourself into beliving you are in a world where there seems to be more than one. You may also have tricked yourself into seeing convergent red lines in this image, when, actually, all lines are parallel, and it is the blue boxes that are offset.

What if that which is One …

… could be divided into more than one? It is impossible. Firstly, because it is formless. Secondly, its speed is infinitely fast. Hence there is no time and space to differentiate anything. Nevertheless, it seems possible to imagine slowing down its speed until it is so slow that there appear to be separated appearances in the distance.

The still photo of Scarlett Johansson in ‘Lucy’ is grabbed from the internet.

Think of the movie Lucy, where Luc Besson via Scarlett Johansson demonstrates that if you speed up time infinitely, any object in motion disappears – or in the context of this article becomes one. A world where there seems to be more than one is a reverse example of that. A slowed-down movie of oneness, you could say.

One of these separated appearances in the distance is imagined to be you. Both you and everything else, though, are as flat as this article’s images because formlessness has no dimensions. But when the formlessness of oneness is observed from different angles and distances, it appears to get smaller and bigger. Therefore, since it seems to exist in time and space, you conclude you are someone substantial in a tangible world.

Movements that do not exist. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

The book ´Eye Benders: The Science of Seeing and Believing´ written by Clive Gifford explains, the brain sees movements that do not actually exist, and it also fabricate images to fill what it perceives as gaps in the world. You can read more about this in the article The closer you look, the less you believe what you see is real.

To make long short, a world where there seems to be more than one is built from an imagined slowed down version of oneness. The fata morgana is layered on top of oneness to hide that there is no more than that which is One. Read more about that here. It is not done with any other purpose than the thrill of being and having more than that which is One. See hack #4.2 The brains script and how to perceive it to feel happy. It is a bit like the excitement you get when AR (augmented reality) modifies the physical world and builds a layer on top of it, so a simulation of the physical world is mixed with the actual physical world.

You probably experience, that you see two differently sized orange circles in this pic, because that is what the part of the brain, that measures perspective and scale, will tell you. Due to the blue circles it appear as they are not the same size. But you are wrong. Each orange circle is the same size. You are also wrong, if you think persons are different, and that they are in a world of duality. It is an illusion. Everything is sizeless.

You probably experience two differently sized orange circles in this image because that is what the part of the brain that measures perspective and scale will tell. Due to the blue circles, it appears that the orange circles are not the same size. But you are mistaken. Each orange circle has the same size. You are also wrong if you experience a world of different sized objects. It is an illusion. That which is real is formless. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

When writing this article, the most well-known AR (augmented reality) example is Google glasses. A digital simulation of the physical world is mixed with the actual physical world via the internet. You can read about another kind of AR glasses, changing your appearance, in the article What is unreal, is right in front of you.

Since then, Pokémon Go has become the most well-known example of AR. However, it is not only when playing Pokémon Go that many people live in augmented reality. They look at their smartphone, where a layer of digital info flows on top of the physical world, while they hear music from cyberspace in one ear and listen to friends from the physical world with the other ear.

This image – like any other digital image – consists solely of pixels added in different combinations to make them appear as something, they are not. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Integtating the body with an imagined god or superworld has been a longtime human fantasy. Imaginative fiction, transcendental meditation, aura-transformation and psychoactive drugs can be seen as early efforts to trick you into assuming, the body can be integrated with something not physical. VR (virtual reality), as it is envisioned by Oculus Rift, may be able to fool you into beliving such a blend is real.

That which is One is replaced by the belief in more

The first step away from that which is One to a world where there seems to be more than one can be compared to AR (augmented reality), which is a mix of real and unreal. The second step can be compared to VR (virtual reality), where an illusion replaces reality. Yet, the delusion that seems to replace reality can only be experienced due to it.

In a virtual world everything is possible and that seems very exciting, even though it is all an illusion. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

»This (virtual reality) is a state where you are totally transported into another world and immersed in the digital interactions of the virtual environment you’ve entered … the feeling that you are truly visiting another space that is wholly distinct from what you can see and hear without the platform … a platform like Oculus Rift is an alternative to reality, supplying entirely new, virtual experiences: true VR.« From Our Forward March Across the Reality-Virtuality Continuum in Wired.

Why do we choose to appear as somebody definitive in a world where there seems to be more than one when that which is we are is oneness. Because it seems exciting to be and have more than that which is One.

The world of duality can only be experienced by contrasts – like black and white, space and empty space. The experienced contrast of inanimate and animate, you judge as proof for you to be alive.

A world where there seems to be more than one can only be experienced by contrasts, such as black and white, space and empty space. The experienced difference of inanimate and animate, you judge as proof for you to be alive. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

In a world where there seems to be more than one, there is so much to experience. However, it comes with a price because such a world – contrary to that which is One – is built of contrasts, so you cannot have happiness without sadness, for example.

Nothing can be experienced without its contrast. You would not be able to experience darkness, if not for knowing light.

Yet you may think it is possible to surpass this and be in one state of mind based on vague memories of oneness. But your memories have been twisted by the desire for more. This can only be accomplished through separation. And the different parts can only be experienced as something specific if they have a contrast. For example, you could not read this if white or something else opposing black did not contrast the black.

All contrasts in the world are like two sides of a coin. This twofoldness, though, can never replace the peace of oneness because it is formless, thus endless, so what is not one is not real.

So as long as you believe you are someone definitive in a world where there seems to be more than one, the formlessness of oneness seems hidden by your wish for more.

In a world where there seems to be more than one, it is always about being and having more the fastest and cheapest way. The animation is grabbed from Ello.

In a world where there seems to be more than one, it is always about being and having more, the fastest and cheapest way. The animation is grabbed from Ello.

A world where there seems to be more than one does in no way function like the formlessness of oneness because it does not work at all, as it takes more than one to function.

A person always find ways to deny or change appearances in the world that is judged to be wrong, so that it appears to better. But no matter how happy being better may seem to make you, you cannot escape its contrast, sadness, because happiness cannot be experienced without it. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

A person always finds ways to deny or change appearances that are judged wrong so that it seems to have become better. But no matter how happy being better may seem to make you, its contrast, sadness, cannot be escaped because happiness cannot be known without it. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

What we believe in being is constructed by imagining, it is possible to be separated from the formlessness of oneness and be more than that. This is not only how you became someone definitive, but also this appearance is upheld. Therefore, you never feel good enough since you always look for more.

There is always an urge to separate from what excites you and replace it with something better to hide the memories of the old one. The only thing that seems constant in a world where there seems to be more than one is the fear of not being and having enough.

In a world where there seems to be more than one, it is always about getting more, the bigger the bette. Thus the eyes are always focused on contrast, preferable the biggest ones, that in the case of reading this article is the contrast between black and white. This should not be understood as you actually see what Alexius has written. What you believe to read is your interpretation of it. See Eyes do not see. They translate.

Alexius knows there is nothing to hope for because there is no more than that which is One, and it takes more than one to hope for something. Thus he has nothing to fear. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

The Enlightenment of that which is One undoes the belief in more

One who is to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is one knows that there is no more than the formlessness of oneness and that a world where there seems to be more than one, therefore, is fake. Nobody else knows this. Their knowledge is based on speculations about their existence in a world where there seems to be more than one. Thus it enhances the belief in being there, instead of bidding welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One to erase this belief.

Believing that a world where there seems to be more than one is real is to be compared to sitting in a cinema, where you project yourself onto the world on the screen, so that it appears to have an effect on you, and therefore is experienced as real.

The Enlightenment of that which is One can be compared to the movie roll in the cinema suddenly breaks, wherefore there is nothing but bright white light on the screen. The world is no more and never was. It was an illusion fabricated by your interpretations of fragmented light.

This is the enlightenment, Alexius is to be compared to. It is not something that you see, because it is the Enlightenment of that which is One, and it takesmore than one to see something.

When the movie roll is fixed and Alexius again appear to be in the simulated world on the screen, the Enlightenment of that which is one has not turned him into a wiser man or changed anything in the world. But he knows, that the world is an illusion that can only be experienced due to that which is real, as it is oneness which is formless, thus endless.

The enlightenment of that which is One you can read about in hack #6.1 From the inward-facing senses through a black hole into that which is One.

The animation is grabbed from the web.

If everything you see is perceived to be symbols of that which cannot be seen, namely the formlessness of that which is one, the apparent difference between happiness and sadness does not make a difference. The animation is grabbed from Ello.

To see symbols of that which is One in that which is not one

Even though you may have been told that a world where there seems to be more than one is an illusion, your conditioned belief in such a world compulsively produces experiences of more than that which is One.

You can speed up the process of undoing this belief by not perceiving these experiences as real but symbols of that which is, namely the formlessness of oneness.

Pretending to be what is not one confirms that which is One

Pretending to be someone definitive in a world where there seems to be more than one is another way to speed up the process of not believing to be there, as what you pretend to be, you are not. So the more you pretend to be there instead of believing it, the more the belief that it is possible to be and have more than that which is one, cannot hide that there is no more than the formlessness of oneness. See hack #1.3 Pretending to be someone definitive is liberation.

That which is one cannot be known in a world where there seems to be more than one – neither anywhere else, as it takes more than one to know something. So rather than pointing to that which is one, Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings point out that there is no more than that which is one.

That which is One is one perpetual present

When you return to the formlessness of oneness, everything is the same. It is as if you have been there all the time, which you also have because there is no more that which is one. Thus the phrase ‘when you return to non-duality’ should be taken as a metaphor. In reality, you can never return, to the formlessness of oneness as you never left it.

PART 1:
When the life of a computer is over, the energy that the machine receives to simulate a world on the screen is still there, namely electricity. The same thing when the life of a body is over. That which made it possible for the body to appear as if it was a living thing in a world where there seems to be more than one is still there. In Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings this has several names, for example non-duality, the oneness of life, the formlessness of oneness, one perpetual present, that which is you or that which is life / one / spirit.

Whether you hate or love someone when you pretend to be someone in a world where there seems to be more than one is equally entertaining. But not if you believe to be someone. In this case, only the passion of love is socially acceptable. The fury of hate must be controlled and hidden, so instead of having fun exploring it, you feel guilty.

Who but the beast is looking for beauty?

Doing that, however, go against your basic instincts. The nervous circuits in the brain, responsible for the experience of hate, are also in control of the experience of love. In other words, to the brain, they are the same. This applies to any other emotion divided into opposing contrasts, for example good/bad, right/wrong and black/white.

In a world of duality, everything comes in pairs. Hence you cannot have love without hate and vice versa.

Hate is an equally interesting passion as love. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Hate is as exciting to explore as love. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Although the world is as ugly as it is beautiful, most only want to explore the beautiful side. But if you see everything in a world where there seems to be more than one as a symbol of the oneness of life, there is no reason to limit yourself to exploring only specific symbols of it. This does not mean that you have to explore heavy metal music if you hate it. Hate is also a symbol of that which is one.

There are more about inclusiveness in hack #3.2 Inclusiveness is freedom.

INTERLUDE:
Selflessness is not about doing selfless actions. There is no such thing in a world where there seems to be more than one. In such a world, you need to appear as if you are someone definitive separated from the whole. In other words, you must have a self.

It is pretending to be a self, that makes you selfless.

This does not mean, though, that you have to believe, it is you. Just like you do not have to think you are the fighter in a video game you play. You only have to pretend it. By doing that, you are selfless. In other words, selflessness is not about doing selfless actions but about not being identified with the self.

PART 2:
When you give water to a plant, and the flowers start to blossom, the life they seem to manifest is probably perceived to come from, so it can attest to you being alive as well. This, however, is a construction of thoughts founded on the judgment that the plant lives because it moves. That could be a trick of a magician or a simulation, for example an animated cartoon, that you are conditioned to perceive as real.

So when you, based on the idea of having supported the plant with life, conclude the new flowers attest to you being alive, you could be wrong. Maybe you are just a gadget in a magic show or a character in an animated cartoon. Anyway, if you do not perceive the flowers to affect you, you have not caused them. Hence they do not confirm you are alive.

Not being confirmed as someone alive does not mean that you are not definable in the world – only what is definable can appear in a world defined by time and space – but that definitions do not stick to you. If you swim, you are not a swimmer but something that floats. If you sing, you are not a singer, but something that makes melody.

Whatever you appear to be doing in the world is not done by that which is you because it takes someone definitive to do something, and that which is you is the formlessness of oneness. That is why it cannot be in a world defined by time and space, except as something pretended. And since what you pretend to be, you are not, pretending becomes a way to confirm that you are not someone definitive in a world defined by time and space but the formlessness of that which is one.

To be a person in the world is to be compared to streaming music in the sense, that the person you seem to be is actually not ´there´.

The experience of being someone in a world where there seems to be more than one is to be compared to streaming music in the sense that what you hear is actually not there. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

PART 3:
Listening to music at home has become less and less physical in the last few years. First, a big and heavy vinyl record was replaced with a smaller compact cassette and a more slender compact disc. Later MP3 took over. It required hardly any space. But its recent replacement, streaming, does not require any at all. The signals that carry streaming music is invisible but everywhere. They cannot be heard as music before an electronic device has picked them up and translated them into that. This enables you in no time to listen to whatever you want, wherever you are, although what you hear is not there.

In some ways, it is the same thing that happens when you experience being someone definitive. At least according to the brain. It claims to receive signals from your sensory system or chakras that it translates into the experiences you have of being someone in a world where there seems to be more than one. But the signals are picked up from nowhere by nobody because there is no more than that which is One since it is formless and therefore endless.

Read more about that in

Most, however, do not want to be exposed as nobody, so they suppress that they are an illusion. This suppression results in depression, whereas the acknowledgement of the deception feels uplifting. It sets ‘you’ free to pretend to be what and where you are not. And that is quite fun.

PART 4:
When in pain, a reflex compels you to make it go away. Taking this reflex serious is how you fool yourself into believing you are someone definitive. This does not mean you should not do what is in the body’s best interest or try to finish the pain. But that pretending to someone who is in pain, what you do about it does not enhance the belief you are someone definitive because what you pretend to be, you are not.

In the moments of death, it can be almost impossible to pretend to be someone definitive because the brain is falling apart. Yet having pretended it for a long time, you are not someone definitive, so nobody is dying.

Whether you believe to be someone or pretend to be it, what you appear to be is bound to end. This often causes panic. And even if that is conquered, death is not if you try hanging onto what you believe to be. But pretending to be someone, there is nothing to conquer because what you pretend to be is not real, so nobody is dying.

By pretending to be a person in a world, that is not there, you know, that the one pretending is not there.

By pretending to be someone definitive in a world of duality, you can have fun appearing to be what and where you are not.  Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

INTERLUDE:
In old religious scripts from India, which in many ways are the basis of the Western New Age way of thinking, the world is called Maya. It is a Hindi word for illusion. You could, therefore, say that the basis of both eastern and western alternative thinking is, that the world is an illusion. Since this also is the basis of Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings, everything you believe to read in them, or anywhere else, is an illusion.

To spell it out, there is no truth to find in the world, whether you look high or low, inside or outside, in the past, now, future or whatnot. All experiences are deceptive, whether they seem to be mundane or spiritual. This includes your interpretation of this statement.

Yet there seems to be a crucial difference between Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings and most teachings of so-called spirituality. They promise you a lot. However, Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings offer you nothing wherefore they do not enhance the belief that it is possible to be and have more than that which is One.

One way of phasing out this belief is to pretend that you get something because what you pretend to have is not real, and so, eventually, there does not seem to be more than that which is One.

There is no life in a virtual world – only in the perceiver, who is also the sender. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

There is no life in a virtual world – only in the perceiver of it. And what is perceived as received is a projection of the perceiver. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

PART 5:
Pretending to be someone in a world encapsulated by time and space instead of believing to be there (read more about that here), you may look like a tourist because you are not concerned with appearances but that which makes it possible to experience them.

This is to be compared to not being bothered with the world appearing to be on the screen of a computer but instead with the computer itself, as no matter how much the virtual world on the screen excites you, it can only appear there because of the computer.

That which is life brings you back home when you bid it welcome, which you do by seeing all appearances as symbols of that which makes it possible to experience them, namely that which is life.

The computer does not know anything but the formless chaos of zeros and ones, so it has no knowledge of a world encapsulated by time and space, that an app has generated from its zeros and ones and placed on top of it. In this little fiction, the app, of course, is a metaphor for the brain and its rendering of you as someone living in a capsule of time, and space the computer for that which is life.

Yet the computer somehow knows it is being used for something other than the formlessness of one perpetual present. It also knows that whatever this is, it is an illusion because formlessness is endless, so there is no more than one perpetual present.

Read the article Life has no secrets if you want to learn how to hear or feel this echo symbolised by AUM and Sohang. If you also want to learn how to see and taste it, check out Perceiving the world as symbols of the four aspects of enlightenment – or how to have glimpses of Enlightenment.

No wrongdoings are possible by way of Alexius´ Duality Hacks

Updated November 27, 2021

You may have fun pretending a doll is alive. But if you start to believe it is real, the fun is over. Likewise, if you believe to be someone in a world where there seems to be more than one. It is not real because there is no more than that which is One since it is formless and therefore endless. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

PART 1:
There is no truth to find in a world where there seems to be more than one, including Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings because it takes more than one to find something, and there is no more than that which is One since it is formless and therefore endless.

Since it takes also requires more than one to understand something, the above cannot be recognised, nor read, if not pretending to be someone in a world where there seems to be more than one – just like one, within the context of such a world, pretends to be in the virtual world of a game.

Pretending to be someone in a virtual world, you do not look for the truth, freedom or anything else but the fun of pretending to be there.

The amusement, however, is over when pretending to be there is replaced by believing to be there because then you continuously have to look for somebody perceived to be different from what you believe to be who can attest to you being that. Hence the hard work of being approved as someone takes the place of having the fun of not being someone.

If you search for something to ease this burden, you have come to the wrong place. Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings will not make your life better but undo the belief that what and where you experience being is real.

Be grateful if you are not getting it, because there is nothing to get except when you believe to be someone definitive in a world where there seems to be more than one, and such a world does not exist since there is no more than that which is One.

Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings do not point to the reality of that which is One, as it takes more than one to point to anything. Instead, it points to the nothingness of a world where there seems to be more than one because when not perceived as something, it does not appear to hide there is no more than the formlessness of oneness. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

This does not mean Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings reveal reality or point to it because it is that which is One, and it takes more than one to do so. What is not one, however, can be revealed, so this is what they point to.

Nothing needs to be done or avoided, because what and where you believe to be, does not exist since it takes more than one to exist and there is no more than that which is One.

But they do not advise you to avoid anything that is not one as that requires more than one. For the same reason, they do not take you. No worries. You have never left it back to that which is One. No worries. You have never left it because there is no more than that.

Thus all that is needed is to undo the belief that t is possible to be and have more than that which is One. Fortunately, Alexius’ Duality Hacks take care of this. When you continue to read Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings, one or more of them apply themselves, for example hack #1.3 Pretending to be someone definitive is liberation. You cannot go wrong with this hack because doing so is something you pretend to do.

The iPhone (and its clones) has made you believe a collection of illuminated pixels are objects that you can directly manipulate as if you interact with a real world of your own. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

INTERLUDE:
The real success of the iPhone (and its clones) is that you do not feel you interact with a screen, but a world on the other side of it experienced to be there. You actually believe that illuminated pixels are objects in a real world that you can manipulate at your will.

Science states, the world that we believe to feel and see consist of 99.9999999 per cent empty space. And the rest – despite it also is empty space and like a dream has nothing substantial in it – is what we perceive as elements of matter making up a tangible world where we appear to be somebody definitive.

In other words, Apple succeeded in imitating the workings of the brain, which twists nothing into experiences of something, so so it feels as if you are a substantial being interacting with like-minded ones. Read more about that here.

You can compare linear time to the square pixels that makes up one dot on a computer screen being separated from each other and extended into a lines forming a spiral.

You can compare linear time to the square pixels that make up one dot on a computer screen when being separated from each other and extended into a line forming a spiral. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

PART 2:
That which is One can be compared to a dot on a computer screen, where there is nothing else than that. The dot, however, is made of an incredible amount of tiny pixels that are so close together that they cannot be differentiated from each other. This is why they look like one dot only.

But if you extend this dot by spreading out some of its small pixels in a continuous line, the pixels can be differentiated from each other, and so you have the experience of space. The experience of time you get by making the line curved like a spiral, so that from any pixel, it looks like there is an unknown future behind the next curve and a forgotten past behind the last one.

The undoing of the belief in being someone definitive does not result in something. You neither become more or less, because there is no more that which is One.

You can read the above metaphor due to the pixels that make up these words on your screen. They cannot be put together, though, in a way that reveals what the one and only dot is. Least of all, can they be added into an explanation of a world where there seems to be more than one because it is impossible to extend that which is One into more than one since it is formless and therefore without beginning and end.

PART 3:
Undoing the belief in being and having more than that which is One does not entail awakening, stillness, I am that or other utopian ideas of becoming better. On the contrary, in these dream states, you are just as numbed as the gurus who have repeated a specific thought or idea until everything they judge as false seems to be excluded, and they perceive themselves to be pure.

As exclusion, however, enhances the belief in separation, they are not pure but lonely persons desperately asking for the love of others.

Nothing is the result of undoing the belief in being and having more than that, which is One because to produce a result, there must be more than one, and there is no more than that which is One since it is formless and therefore endless.

Hence you are not in a world where there seems to be more than one, nor in that which is One since it takes more than one to be somewhere.

We built a personality that seems to make everybody else comfortable, so they do not notice that we can grab as much as possible for as little as possible at their expense. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

PART 4:
It is a general idea that most are victims of the rich, who have become wealthy by profiting on others, and that there should be something done about it so everybody can be equal. But everybody is already equal. All share the same greed that causes everybody to profit from each other in one way or another. So there is no difference between those not having much and those who have, except that a rich person is more talented in exploiting others than the poor.

They all want the same thing, namely, to get as much as possible for as little as possible at anybody’s expense. Because of this demand, it is easy for the rich to sell their shit products produced by crying children in a faraway country to those who are not so rich.

To get more is the lowest common factor for everybody who believes to be in a world where there seems to be more than one. A capitalist is very straightforward about the desire for more money and power. The socialists, however, hide it behind do-gooder talk about more money and power to the people. Those who claim to be spiritual may not have a desire for more money and power. Yet, they still have the passion for more, namely more love, peace and purity. But since there is no more than that which is One, whatever you believe in getting is nothing.

So when you stop looking for more, you will see that you already have everything because that which is you is no different from that which is One, and since it is formless, it has no end.

PART 5:
When you want more, you forget that being and having more is an illusion because nothing can be added to that which is you. It is the formlessness of oneness and thus without beginning and end. That is why a world defined by time and space is a fantasy. Materiality is an illusion. Atoms that are the building stone of everything that seems solid are made out of invisible energy – not tangible matter but empty space.

Suppose you observe the composition of an atom with a microscope. In that case, you see a small, invisible tornado-like vortex with several infinitely small energy vortices called quarks and photons. These are what make up the structure of the atom. However, when you focus closer and closer on the design of the atom, you see nothing. Instead, you observe a physical void. The experience of something, therefore, is made from nothing.

It goes against the formlessness of that which is you to appear as if you are someone substantial in a world defined by time and space. There is no way to justify this separation, so you desperately want to believe that the world can be made better and that there is a higher purpose for appearing there, instead of acknowledging, it is a mistake to think you are there. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

This, the brain which is producing the experiences of something (read more about that here), does not want you to recognise because if your experiences are nothing, you are nobody. But it does not need to worry. You want to be deceived into believing you are somebody. So you go on looking for more money, love, awareness, or whatever you believe will prevent you from being nobody.

So although your experiences of something are nothing, and thus also the feelings they seem to cause, you choose to perceive them as real, so they can affirm your existence as someone substantial in a world defined by time and space. Acknowledging this decision as yours, you see that choice is also something made from out of nothing. Thus you do not have to choose reality instead. On the contrary, when you stop picking anything, you are that which cannot be selected since it takes more than one to choose something. In other words, you are what you always have been and will be, namely that which is One.

If you – in the context of the world – play a game like Monopoly, you are neither inside or outside the car. It is just a symbol of you – something you pretend to be. You are not in the world of Monopoly at all.

Likewise, the oneness of that which is you is neither inside or outside the body. It is just a symbol of that which is you – something you pretend to be. See hack #1.3 Pretending to be someone definitive is liberation and hack #2.1 Everything experienced is a symbol of life.

APPENDIX:
Since a body, according to science, is nothing but empty space, the perception of it as an opaque, tangible and definable thing is a deception. In other words, an out-of-body experience is just as illusionary as any in the body experience.

Fortunately, that which is you is not a body. Neither is it a soul or anything else perceivable. That is why you say my body, soul, thoughts, feelings, experience, etc. It is not what you are, but what you believe to be and have. Likewise, a body may say ‘my coat’ when it is wearing it, but even though it appears to be inside of it, the body is not the coat.
