Somebody cannot bid welcome ‘the Enlightenment of that which is One,’ but nobody can

Updated August 12, 2022

When every experience is perceived as a symbol of that which is One, none of them has the power to fend off the Enlightenment of that which is One because symbols are powerless. See hack #2.1 Everything experienced is a symbol of oneness. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Fear and other emotions may seem to be a hindrance for the Enlightenment of that which is One. It is not the emotions, though, that fend it off but that you believe they are yours. That which is you does not feel anything because it takes more than one to do so, and it is no different from that which is One. For the same reason, that which is you does not think, nor is it conscious of anything.

This does not mean you should try to stop this. First of all, that which is you cannot control anything as that calls for more than one. Secondly, while you appear to be someone definitive in a world where there seems to be more than one, it is impossible to stop being aware of feelings and thoughts since that is what makes you appear to be there.

It is, of course, possible to deny the awareness of thoughts and feelings by meditating, for example. But whether you establish yourself to be someone who has something or nothing, you are definable and thus in denial of that which is you, as oneness is formless.

Pretending to be someone, on the other hand, what you have is not yours because what you pretend to be you are not. Thus nobody has thoughts and feelings or is conscious of anything. See hack #1.3 Pretending to be someone definitive is liberation. Consequently, nobody bids welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One.

This is not the only way to become a nobody. As everything in a world of duality comes in pairs, there is no fear without trust, so if you are so full of fear that there is nothing else, it cannot be defined by trust. Therefore, since you are full of nothing, you are not somebody but nobody. See hack #3.1 Inclusiveness is freedom.

You could also stick to being the basic self by perceiving any kind of experience, whether it appears mundane or spiritual, as ‘it is what it is.’ See hack #4.2 The brain’s script and how to perceive it to feel happy. Since that means emotions do not stick to you, they do not fend off the Enlightenment of that which is One. Nor will they prevent you from having a marvellous time in a world where there seems to be more than one until the Enlightenment of that which is One erases everything that requires more than one.

You do not need to refrain from sex or anything else to make these or any other duality hack work. However, if you are willing to have the belief that you are someone in a world where there seems to be more than one, Alexius’ Duality Hacks apply themselves the more you read Alexius’ Duality Hacks.

The willingness comes by itself when you admit you are not willing to have this belief undone because acknowledging that confirms what and where you appear to be is make-believe.

APPENDIX:
Since the application of the above duality hacks requires more than one, they are as illusionary as anything else in a world in a world of duality, including the writer and reader of this. However, the purpose of them is not to make us seem like we are somebody but that we, just like anything else that calls for more than one, are nothing because non-duality is formless, thus endless, so there is no more than that which is One.

The bliss of emptiness is only one second away

Updated July 9, 2022

Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

What you believe in experiencing right now happened one second ago because it has taken the brain a second to produce your present experience. And then again, it did not occur because the brain created it from nothing and not from info received from your sensory system. The latter the brain presents as a fact, and you believe it because otherwise you are exposed as nothing. Read more about that in Where to find the bliss of the empty breath.

The bliss of emptiness is, therefore, only one second away. Going back a second requires nothing but to perceive your present experience as dunno what it is (read more about this in hack #4.2 The brain’s script and how to perceive it to feel happy). Doing that, the undefined moment ignites a take-off into the empty breath (see hack #5.1 Uncontrolled speed leads to a state of not-knowing), revealing the nothingness from where the brain produces the experiences where you appear to be somebody in a world of something.

It is not a revelation where emptiness is exposed. But where something is revealed as nothing. Not in the sense that you stop seeing something but that you perceive it as nothing. You do not appear to be somebody in the absence of something, but nobody walking on blissful clouds of frictionless love. Read more about that in hack #5.2 The empty breath and the bliss of nothing.

Enlightenment does not give you more because there is no more than that which is one [draft]

One who is to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One does not know what it is because that requires more than one. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

In a world where there seems to be more than one, there is much to learn about how to function. In that context, Alexius knows something, for example, how to type and publish Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings on the web. But in the context of spirituality, Alexius knows nothing because it is that which is One, and it takes more than one to know something. This article is written in that context.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

In a world where there seems to be more than one, you always need to be and have more so you can keep establishing there is more than that which is One.

Should you need to feel more spiritual, you want more people to express how wise you are, thus using their praise to deny your darker side and show off as spiritual.

But you can never welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One if you want more since that is founded on the belief that there is more than that which is One. Nor can you welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One if you want to use it to become spiritual because the Enlightenment of that which is One has no room for someone.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Since it takes more than one to welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One, somebody in a world where there seems to be more than one cannot be Enlightened by that which is One. However, a person may momentarily forget what and where it is. Hence there is not somebody to hide the Enlightenment of that which is One. Since Alexius is such a person, he is to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Books and lectures may seem to provide some understanding of the Enlightenment of that which is One, but the more you think you understand, the further away you are. The same applies if you think you know it after reading Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings. They are not meant to be understood but to help you unlearn what you believe in having learned.

You cannot bid welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One by wanting it but by not wanting to be in a world where there seems to be more than one. Then you will not fight to have everything you know erased byThe Enlightenment of that which is One so that there is nothing left for the light to carry through a black hole into that which is One.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Only one who is to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One can write Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings, not because such a person knows what to write but what not to write. Thus his personality does not prevent the non-teachings from being written by themselves. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Only someone who has bid the Enlightenment of that which is One welcome knows that a world where there seems to be more than one is fake. Everybody, who believes they live in such a world, has the choice of continuing to believe that or the word of the Enlightened, which is that there is no more than that which is One. Consequently, a world where there seems to be more than one is an illusion. But almost everybody dismisses this because they want to go on searching for more.  Just like children want to go on believing in getting presents from Santa, even though the fact is that the friction from the speed needed to bring gifts to all the good children in one night would kill Santa the exact moment he sets off.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

One who is to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One is as alone as can be. Actually, everybody is, even though they may cover their emptiness with a full calendar. However, the Enlightened have no loneliness to hide because it knows it takes more than one to feel alone, and there is no more than that which is one.

Nevertheless, the Enlightened is excellent in relating to others because being together is perceived as a symbol of oneness. However, since everything is perceived as a symbol of oneness, the Enlightened have no urge to make something last, thus not fearing the end of a relationship, which is bound to come. Especially, because the unenlightened are in a relationship be part of something special, thus expecting to be missed, but the Enlightened never miss anything.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Nobody knows anything about spirituality. However, those not to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One do their best to act as if they are spiritual, thus knowing a lot. In contrast, one who is to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One has no such need. There is nothing spiritual to know – except that there is no more than the formlessness of that which is One.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

One who is to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One has vague memories of it. Due to those, a world where there seems to be more than one is seen as fake. But without the Enlightenment of that which is One, you cannot know the experience of more than one is a trick. Thus it becomes a belief that there is no more than that which is One. However, according to scientists, it is also a matter of belief that a world where there seems to be more than one is real because it is nothing but empty space.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Alexius has no answer to the question, who am I? An explanation would be just as illusionary as the question since it implies there is more than oneness, although it is formless, thus without beginning and end. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

The Enlightenment of that which is One does not illuminate anything. On the contrary, it is so bright that nothing can see. Besides, it requires more than one to see something, and there is no more than that which is one, as it is formless, thus endless. In other words, if you appear to be in a world where there seems to be more than one, you do not exist, and you know it. That is why everybody throughout history asked who am I? to establish they exist as someone definitive.

The tension from consistently doing something to appear as someone makes you feel tangible. But the more you feel that the more the Enlightenment of that which is One is fenced out.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The unenlightened may have a high consciousness attained through many years of meditation. But one who is to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One has nothing because it takes more than one to have something.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

To remain in control, the unenlightened prefer not to welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One but instead imitate the attributes of someone compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One, assuming that it will expand their consciousness.

But the Enlightenment of that which is One does cannot expand anything. It does not cause something, as that requires more than one. For the same reason, one who is to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One does not remember what it is. However, one thing is crystal clear: There is no more than that which is One, so a world where there seems to be more than one is an illusion. This memory, though, is of no interest to those who want to expand their consciousness so that they appear more advanced than others.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The unenlightened likes to teach others the way to Enlightenment, but the Enlightened know there is no way.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The Enlightenment of that which is One has no effect, as that would require more than one. Hence it wipes out the idea of cause and effect.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The Enlightenment of that which is One neither makes you more nor less. Instead, it erases all memories of being someone. In other words, the Enlightenment of that which is One is not for you if you want to make a difference.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The belief that you are someone in a world where there seems to be more than one cannot survive in the Enlightenment of that which is One because it takes more than one to believe something. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Most spiritual ideas are not used to phase out one’s personality but to pump it up so you can appear more spiritual than others. But since any appearance requires more than one, and there is no more than oneness, being spiritual is just as fake as being anything else definable. See also the article All experiences are equally unreal.

Those few who do not pump up themselves with gibberish new age ideas, like being an ocean of cosmic compassion, have cracks in their personality, where the Enlightenment of that which is One can enter.

Of course, this is a metaphor. The Enlightenment of that which is One cannot enter anywhere, as that requires more than one. For the same reason, there is no love or other exciting things that some like to imagine in the Enlightenment of that which is One. Nor does it transform you into a wiser person or higher consciousness.

On the contrary, it erases what you believe in being, so there is nobody to experience that nothing smoothly falls through a black hole into that which always has been and will be since it is without beginning and end, namely the formlessness of oneness. This is, of course, also a metaphor because nothing can be added or subtracted to oneness, as that requires more than one.

Anyhow, if a person returns from the Enlightenment of that which is One to the illusion of a world where there seems to be more than one, it has not been enlightened, nor does it know oneness, as it takes more than one to know anything. But since there are vague memories of nothing but that which is One, such a person can be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One.

When the foundation for appearing in a world where there seems to be more than one is the knowledge that there is no more than that which is One, it is easy to have fun pretending to be someone in such a world because there is nobody to put at risk.

Read about the Enlightenment of that which is One in hack #6.1 The Enlightenment of that which is One. And read about pretending to be someone in hack #1.3 Pretending to be someone definitive is liberation.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The Enlightenment of that which is One is one perpetual present, so it cannot be brought into a world of linear time. In other words, you must leave a world defined by time and space to welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One. Fortunately, such a world is an illusion. Hence there is nothing to leave but the belief that the experience of something with a beginning and end is real.

Life has no secrets

Updated November 6, 2022

There is nothing to search for. Searching comes from the desire of more, and there is no more than that which is one.

There is nothing to search for. Searching comes from the desire to be and have more than the oneness of life, but there is no more than that since it is formless, thus endless. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Life has no secrets. It is impossible because it is that which is one, and it takes more than one to have something. So why do people look for the meaning of life? The answer lies in the previous sentence. Life is that which is One, so if you believe in being someone in a world where there seems to be more than one, you are without life. In other words, even though the oneness of life makes it possible to experience a world where there seems to be more than one, it is not there – just like a physical body is not in a dream, regardless of being the host of it.

Though some like to think, that the word of god is something written, but there is nothing in the New Testament that indicates that. In fact the word of god can neither be written or spoken.

Some like to think, that The Word of God is something written in a book like The New Testament, although nothing in it indicates that. Actually, The Word of God can neither be written or spoken. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

»In the origin The Word had been existing and That Word had been existing with God and That Word was himself God.« John 1:1, Aramaic Bible in Plain English.

Unfortunately most of those reading the New Testament reckon that it is The Word of God. But as god is that which is One and it takes more than one to write or read, the New Testament has nothing to do with The Word of God.

However, an echo of life can be heard and felt in a world where there seems to be more than one. Christianity calls it The Word of God, and in Eastern religions, it is often symbolised by the words Aum and Sohang. You could say that the oneness of life sends out an echo of itself to call you home. The echo does not reveal oneness but what obscures it, namely the belief in a world where there seems to be more than one. That said, it is, of course, a metaphor that oneness is calling you home because you have never left it since it is formless, thus endless,

Nevertheless, this article is written within the context of the belief that it is possible to be and have more than one. Within this context, hearing or feeling the echo of oneness is a call to go home. However, the echo has no beginning and end, so it is not a word that can be written or spoken. But, fortunately, it is very easy to hear and feel, it.

No chanting or any other action like that is necessary to hear/feel the vibration, that is symbolized by the word Aum. It comes to you automatically, when you do not differentiate the sounds of the world but include them all. In other words, when you do not focus or concentrate.

No chanting or reading in scriptures is necessary to hear or feel the vibration that Aum, Sohang and The Word of God symbolise. It comes to you automatically when the apparent difference of the vibes in the world is not perceived to make a difference, which they do not do if you do not exclude any of them as if there is more than one. In other words, when you do not focus or concentrate on something specific, you are not someone definitive, but the unpronounceable vibration that Aum, Sohang and The Word of God symbolise. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

THE VIBRATION THAT AUM, SOHANG OR THE WORD OF GOD SYMBOLISES IS …
… not a secret. Yet it appears hidden if you search for an elitist understanding rather than hearing or feeling the vibration, which can be heard or felt whenever you do not focus on hearing or feeling something specific.

When you hear or feel the unpronounceable echo of oneness, the sense of being someone definitive disappears. Thus there is nothing to transform.

For ages, people have been chanting Aum and Sohang or speculating about the meaning of The Word of God, assuming their secret would miraculously be revealed if they kept trying. But oneness does not make miracles or reveal anything because it takes more than one to do anything.

However, it only takes one chant of Aum or Sohang to hear or feel the echo of oneness. That is, if you do not look for peak experiences of an almighty god, love or something mysterious and sensational that can be mentally explained.

TO TUNE INTO HEARING THE ECHO OF ONENESS …
… you say AU very slowly, whereafter M almost hangs in the air as a whispering sound until it is replaced by a gentle humming from somewhere in the distance. That is the echo of oneness. If you feel like laughing, you heard it.

This is the Hindi symbol of ´sohang´– grabbed on the web. <i>The graphic is grabbed from the web</i>.

The Hindi symbol of Sohang is grabbed from the web.

You can also get in touch with this distant humming by saying sohang – eventually combined with listening to the sound coming from the breath. Say SO when breathing in, and after a tiny break, say HANG when breathing out. The so is not important, except for tuning in. The same applies to the first part of HANG. After having said SO-HA(N), you remain on (A)NG at the end of breathing out. When it fades out, you hear the humming, the echo of oneness, in the silence.

Another way to hear the echo of oneness is to stop focusing on any sound in particular until you cannot distinguish the sounds you hear. Hence they turn into one sound, namely the echo of oneness.

You do not have to sit in a particular posture, repeat a mantra, chant, pray, wear unique clothes or be in a specific place with special people to hear the echo of oneness. Neither does there have to be stillness inside or outside of you. All you have to do is be devoted to what you do.

One of the first times Alexius sensed the humming from the edge of the universe, he was busy handing out flyers on a pedestrian street. He was so devoted to it that the noise of the road became a distant sound fusing into a humming, which, although distant, cancelled out the feeling of being there. It was like the sum of all feelings turned into a transparent one.

KNOWING IT IS THERE, IT IS EASIER TO CONNECT
When Alexius was a child, he liked the music from a radio station that was difficult to tune into because it was on a frequency between two noisy stations. But as he knew of its existence and where to look, he succeeded in tuning into it with much determination and the finest subtlety.

Likewise, since you now know it is possible to hear the humming of oneness from the edge of the universe regardless of the world’s noise, you can tune into it through devotion to your present activity or via Aum or Sohang. If there appears to be too much noise in the head, join it until it fuses into one sound.

Feeling the primeval vibration of the universe.

Feeling touched by the echo of life. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

TO FEEL THE ECHO OF ONENESS
Apart from hearing the vibration that Aum, Sohang and The Word of God symbolise, you can also feel it – especially if you are more emotional than audio-minded. Just do the same as above but put more weight into feeling it. Feeling it can be compared to sensing your body purring like a cat, or like it trembles of fear but without fearing anything, or shaking of coldness but more lightly and not feeling cold or anything else specifically, or feeling the bubbling effect in the body from quickly drinking the foam of Coca-Cola.* In this case, the sensation is not limited to tingling in a specific part of the body. Furthermore, it can be compared to a subtle version of the sound coming from a vacuum cleaner, the ventilation in an airport, or from the edge of the breath (not the sound of breathing in or out, but at the edge of them).

When this gets more intense, it may feel like you are the vibration from an earthquake or a giant laundry machine on the spin cycle. It is felt in the body and outside of it as if there is no transition between the body and the appearances outside it. If you do not panic but go with its flow, you forget about the body and anything outside of it, so no memory seems to hide that which cannot be experienced, namely, the formlessness of oneness.

However, since this article is not about the formlessness of oneness but something that can be experienced, we continue our talk about the primordial vibration from the edge of the universe. Feeling or hearing it is the same – like two sides of the same coin. Nevertheless, it is not advisable to be devoted to both simultaneously but one at a time.

Alexius is more into hearing than feeling something, so it took him a long time to feel the echo of oneness. When he finally did – after several years – it was so intense that the belief in being someone specific was momentarily undone. Thus the echo of oneness had brought him into the Enlightenment of that which is One, where you do not feel anything as that takes more than one.

See Forgetting the world of the outward-facing senses, if you want to read how Alexius finally left the outward-facing senses of feeling to completely feel the echo of oneness.

Many may already have heard or felt the echo of oneness coming from the edge of the universe. Still, as they are biassed towards something mysterious and sensational, they do not pay attention to the quiet humming that constantly is there because it is the basis for the experience of a world where there seems to be more than one. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

WHAT DOES IT SOUND LIKE?
Some people complain that their neighbour is vacuuming while they meditate, but most likely, the neighbour is asleep. And it is not the sound of a vacuum cleaner they hear but the distant humming from the edge of the universe that Aum, Sohang or The Word of God symbolises. Awareness of the vibration can also be compared to hearing the distant sound of the air conditioning in a prominent place like an airport or a wave at the shore that never stops going up.

But since most look for an exceptional experience, they brush off something so simple as the gentle humming from the edge of the universe.

TO REMEMBER YOUR HOME
Already familiar with the humming that Aum, Sohang and The Word of God symbolise, you do not tune into it all the time if you still want to appear as someone in a world where there seems to be more than one. But you may tune into it now and then to ensure you have not forgotten the key to the formlessness of oneness – just like you sometimes check your pocket to hear or feel if the key to your home is there.

Getting ´lifted´by the humming from that which is one, while sitting on a bench. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Getting ‘lifted’ by the echo of that which is one while sitting on a bench. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

ALEXIUS AND THE ECHO OF ONENESS
The above is Alexius’ way of communicating, how you can hear and feel an echo of oneness. Using Aum or Sohang as a stepping stone is not a new idea. But so far, it has mainly been promoted in mysterious ways by people who do not hear or feel it themselves but hope that if they repeat those words repeatedly, a miracle will happen. However, looking for that, they miss the gentle humming coming from the edge of the universe.

But it was not through the words Aum or Sohang that Alexius started to hear or feel the humming they symbolise. Since his teenage years, he has been used to being ‘lifted’ by this humming – for example, while watching a movie, having a walk with his parents or sitting all by himself in a park. And so, when he was about 40 years old, it suddenly dawned on him that this is what people try to reach when chanting Aum or Sohang.

However, it is not about reaching but tuning in. When Alexius can do it, so can you because even though you may appear different from him, what makes it possible for the two of you to experience that you are different is the same, namely the formlessness of oneness from where this humming comes

*) This is not meant as a recommendation of Coca-Cola. Alexius only tried it in his childhood.

Alexius in Wonderland

Updated November 6, 2022

Those who hear or feel the humming from far away echoing oneness cannot use it to improve themselves or the world. But they will be used by it as a door to close the experience of a world where there seems to be more than one, so there is no experience to hide that which cannot be experienced, namely that which is One. That does not mean they will be transformed because that requires more than one. Nor does it mean they will cease to exist because they have never existed since there is no more than oneness since it is formless, thus endless. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

If a world where there seems to be more than one is unreal, but that which is One is real, it is impossible to be in a world where there is more than one. And yet, we appear to be in such a world. However, one who is to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One, like Alexius, does not believe but pretends to be there, like when playing a computer game. That is why his below description of the world standing still, for example, does not reflect reality but how Alexius experiences pretending to be where he is not. The same applies to listening to the echo of oneness or having other glimpses of Enlightenment.

THE WORLD STOOD STILL
The first time the world stood still was in Alexius’ teen years. He looked out the window, and everything was covered by snow. It was like the whiteness outside of him turned everything white inside him while Donovan’s Jennifer Juniper was playing in the background.

He forgot to participate in the story of time and space. And the air, he perceived as so thin that there was no space between anything. Although music was coming out of his speakers, the silence was so loud that all he heard was the echo of oneness.

Much later, on a walk along the sea, the echo of oneness was there again – and not so much later, when he was walking on a pedestrian street busy handing out flyers, the distant echo of oneness was so intense that even though people were moving around, it was like there was no movement and no people. He did not know what was going on, nor did he try to figure it out because when you hear the echo of oneness, you do not need more.

After being accustomed to hearing the echo of that which is One, he realised that this distant humming is what the words Aum, Sohang or The Word of God symbolise and that people do not hear it because they expect those words to reveal a higher understanding. But there is no understanding get, and neither is there any need for it when you hear the distant humming that Aum, Sohang and The Word of God symbolise.

Read Life has no secrets, if you want to learn how to hear and feel the vibration that AumSohang and The Word of God symbolise.

I never do anything so-called spiritual. When I wake up in the mornings I go for a long walk, until I come to this point and return back home. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Alexius never do anything so-called spiritual, such as meditation. But in the mornings, he goes for a long walk from where he often returns home after hearing the echo of oneness here. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

THE ECHO OF ONENESS
The word guitar is a symbol of something that makes amazing sounds. But you do not sense them when reading the word unless you have heard them before.

That is the same regarding Aum, Sohang or The Word of God. These words symbolise the distant humming of oneness. But if you have not heard the unpronounceable vibration of oneness, they will not remind you of the distant sound you hear from a computer when your ear is close to it.

To be so close to the computer, you have to stop focusing on the world empowered on its screen. The same applies to hearing or feeling the distant echo of oneness coming from the edge of the universe. In other words, you must stop focusing on the appearances in a world where there seems to be more than one to hear or feel the echo of oneness. You can read what it feels and sounds like here.

The echo of oneness hangs about a world where there seems to be more than one. It is the engine of that world but not in the sense that it produces it. That is not possible because it echoes that without a beginning or end. Hence it cannot create anything specific. But its energy is used to keep together the imagination of a world where there seems to be more than one, although it is not there itself – just like the dreamer’s energy makes it possible to have a dream but not to manifest the dreamer in the dream.

The vibration that ‘Aum’ and ‘Sohang’ symbolises is your launching pad to oneness.

Therefore, this primordial vibration is not for you if you dream about getting famous or rich or making the world a better place per a specific belief. It knows nothing to achieve or make better. On the contrary, it undoes everything conceivable, so there is nothing but that which cannot be experienced, namely, the formlessness of oneness.

Glimpses of Enlightenment are not experienced in the body you used to know. It is rather like when the dentist’s anaesthesia in the mouth slowly stops working. You feel something, but it is not as if it is the body you used to know. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

THE ENLIGHTENMENT OF THAT WHICH IS ONE VERSUS GLIMPSES OF IT
The Enlightenment of that which is One cannot be experienced as that requires more than one. Therefore, the above is not about the Enlightenment of that which is One but about having glimpses of it by hearing the vibration that Aum, Sohang or The Word of God symbolise. Such glimpses you have when the definable world of the outward-facing senses is so far-off that the distant humming from the edge of the universe is the nearest.

But this is just one aspect of having glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One. The other ones are striking visions of light, hearing the crispness of ethereal harmonies, tasting the sweetness of oneness, or feeling any of these expressions. However, since society is very focused on visual impact, you may only have heard of the visual aspect of the Enlightenment of that which is One.

The inward-facing senses reveal glimpses of Enlightenment when the outward-facing ones are partly closed. Thus they are not physically tangible. As long you experience the Enlightenment of that which is One in one of its aspects, you have glimpses of it. But if you stop perceiving one of these aspects as made of different elements, there is nothing to define you as an experiencer. Hence, since nobody experiences them, there is nothing but the Enlightenment of that which is One (see hack #6.1 From the inward-facing senses through a black hole into that which is One).

Having fun exploring the world of the outward-facing senses. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

REALITY IS NEVER-ENDING. THUS EVERYTHING THAT ENDS IS UNREAL
Compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One or having glimpses of it, appearing to be someone in the world of the outward-facing senses feels like a distraction. But why not enjoy this definable world? There is nothing to lose. You are not someone definitive, so you can pretend to be anybody in the world of the outward-facing senses. If you are into concepts of love, you can perceive the world through glasses of love. It is all make-believe, so you may as well pretend to be in wonderland. See hack #1.3 Pretending to be someone definitive is liberation. Especially if you do it with the duality flow because then your wonderland is contrasted by sorrow, so you feel wonderful when you are sad. See hack #4.4 The duality flow goes to non-duality.

When the world experienced through the outward-facing senses is an illusion, one may conclude that the world experienced through the inward-facing senses is real. But what is real never ends, so both the inward and outward-facing senses are unreal because all their experiences have an end  – including glimpses of Enlightenment.

THE ENLIGHTENMENT OF THAT WHICH IS ONE IS A JOURNEY WITHOUT DISTANCE TO THAT WHICH IS ONE
Metaphorically, you can say that what you experience via the inward-facing senses is a wall surrounding that which is One. The wall seems to have no substance. Yet it can be seen, heard, felt or tasted. Suppose you do not try to define this. In that case, the outward-facing senses have nothing to work with and a door that looks like a black hole, with a thin frame of white light inside it and rapidly spiralling bright light around it, suddenly and very quickly sucks you into it.

However, you do not reach oneness since the black hole has no end. Nonetheless, since you have the belief in being someone undone, you are what you always have been and will be, namely, the formlessness of oneness. In other words, you have never been someone experiencing something.

The four aspects of Enlightenment and how to sample them

Updated November 5, 2022

The echo of that which is one, which often is symbolised by the words Aum, Sohang or The Word of God and which comes from the edge of the universe can be heard or felt right now via the inner senses, because they are not limited by time and space.

The echo of that which is One is often symbolised by the words Aum, Sohang or The Word of God. It comes from the edge of the universe, but since the inward-facing senses are not limited by time and space, for them, it takes no time to go there to hear or feel the echo of oneness coming out of a black hole. See, Going back to the first moment of duality.

None of the facets of the Enlightenment of that which is One can be experienced because it requires more than one to be conscious of something. Thus when you think you have felt, seen, heard, or tasted it, it was not the Enlightenment of that which is One but glimpses of it. They are, like a movie trailer, only samples, thus not the Enlightenment of that which is One. This article is about how to experience those samples that can be felt, seen, heard, or tasted with the inward-facing senses while still in the world of the outward-facing senses.

Please be aware that the ways described below to have glimpses of Enlightenment will not work if you look forward to being or having more, as their function is to undo the belief that it is possible to be and have more than that which is one. However, this does not mean you must restrain yourself from getting more but not care about it.

THE ECHO OF ONENESS
As already implied, oneness cannot be revealed because it calls for more than one. However, when you keep feeling or hearing it echoing from the edge of the universe, the belief in a world defined by time and space is, eventually, undone. Hereafter, the belief does not appear to hide there never was or will be more than that which is one.

In other words, the more you ignore the world defined by time and space, produced by the outward-facing senses, the more a world not limited by time and space is experienced by the inward-facing senses. Without time and space, it takes no time to go to the edge of the universe (read more about that here), where the echo of oneness has been used to create a fantasy world of time and space which seems genuine until you feel or hear this primordial vibration, often symbolised by Aum, Sohang or The Word of God.

This is the Hindi symbol of ´sohang´ – grabbed from the web

The Hindi symbol of Sohang.

»With every exhalation the soul recites ‘Hang’ and with every inhalation it recites ‘So’. Thus every soul counts the mantra of Sohang (So plus Hang) twenty-one thousand and six-hundred times every day and night.« Gherand Samhita, stanza 84.

In Eastern religions the echo of oneness is symbolised by the word ‘Aum’ or ‘Sohang’ and in the New Testament by ‘The Word of God’: »In the origin The Word had been existing and That Word had been existing with God and That Word was himself God.« John 1:1, Aramaic Bible in Plain English.

One who is to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One perceives ‘The Word’ in the above quote as a metaphor for the unpronounceable vibration you feel or hear when not totally focused on the world of the outward-facing senses. However, the unenlightened speculates about what exact words this qoute hints at, even though there is not a single verse in the Bible referring to ‘The Word of God’, as something that is written or can be spoken.

The vibration that AUM or Sohang symbolizes comes from the edge of the universe, which is only far away if you let yourself be deceived by a world defined by linear time as experienced through the outer senses.

Glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One come from a black hole at the edge of the universe. However, this is not far away when you ignore the outward-facing senses and their world defined by time and space but instead go with the inward-facing ones because they are not ruled by time and space. Thus you can feel. see, hear, or taste the glimpses regardless of where you appear in the world of the outward-facing senses.

A way to ignore the outward-facing senses so you can feel or hear the echo of oneness with the inward-facing senses is not to be exclusive but inclusive. When you include all that you feel or hear – or are willing to – the sum of it is felt or heard by the inward-facing senses. It feels or sounds like the humming of nothing and everything. And it is like being both in the world of the outward and inward-facing senses. If you want to read about inclusiveness versus exclusiveness, check hack #3.1 Inclusiveness is freedom.

You can also use the word Aum or Sohang as a launching pad for feeling or hearing the humming from the edge of the universe. Read the article Life has no secrets to learn that without spending years meditating, chanting and whatnot.

READ ABOUT THE INWARD AND OUTWARD-FACING SENSES:

When your eyes become single, there is no separation to hide the enlightenment of that which is one. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

When your eyes become single, there is no separation to hide the Enlightenment of that which is One.

THE THIRD EYE
Seeing glimpses of oneness is done via the inward-facing sense, often called the third eye, a single ‘eye’ in the middle of the two eyes above the two eyebrows.

»The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.« Matt 6:22, King James Bible. This makes much sense to one who is to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One but obviously not to the unenlightened, because in the new international version of the New Testament this sentence has been changed to: »The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy, your whole body will be full of light.«

The enlightenment of that which is One is bid welcome by completely ignoring the outward-facing senses. First time this happened for Alexius was when he returned home totally exhausted after a long nights work of taxi driving and simply was too tired to focus.

In other words, to be offbeat, exhausted, confused or maybe even drunk is a way to forget the world ofthe outward-facing senses, so that there is no world to see, thus nothing to hide the Enlightenment of that which is One. In fact anything that is not part of a scheme to fabricate images defined by time and space will do.

If that includes drugs Alexius does not know, because he has not experienced them. Yet he can say from looking at others taking drugs, that it seems to be more about expanding the consciousness of a world where there seems to be more than one than undoing it.

»Direct your eyes toward the middle of the eyebrows and meditate upon your own self. It is Shambhavi Mudra, the most secret practice of all the Tantra scriptures.« Gherand Samhita, stanza 59.

The positioning of the body, while activating the third eye, does not matter.

The positioning of the body, while activating the third eye, does not matter, as long as the body does not bother you.

Practically speaking you can turn off the visual outward-facing sense and open the third eye by closing the eyes and lightly, without any concentration, hold a finger on the third eye. You can do it anywhere in any position. However, it is best to do in a dark room, so you do not think the revelation of light comes from the world of the outward-facing senses.

If something like this is dechiffered into different colors and forms, you will have glimpses of the enlightenment of that which is one, but if you do not judge any colors or forms to be different from each other the apparent differences will explode into one bright light.

If having a vision like this and it is deciphered into an experience of different colours and shapes around a centre, it is a glimpse of ‘the Enlightenment of that which is One.’ But if you on the other hand do not judge the apparent different colours and forms to make a difference or to come from somewhere specific, one bright and colourless light, that seems to explode from out of nowhere wipes out all thoughts collected to shape you as somebody so that nobody gracefully falls into the formlessness of oneness.

Since the eyes always looks for the greatest contrast of light, your closed eyes automatically search the darkness until they move inwards and upwards towards the third eye from where they settle at a lightshow radiating at such speed that its colours hardly is perceived to differ.

»Touching eyeballs as a feather, lightness between them opens into the heart and there permeates the cosmos.« Sochanda Tantra, stanza 13.

If your eyes do not automatically move inwards and upwards into the area of the inward-facing senses above the eyebrows, you may help them by gently pressing the thumb and middle finger on the outer corner of the eyeballs and the middle finger on the third eye.

However, this is not really commendable, since even the slightest effort requires focus, and it is not focus but defocus that bids welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One or glimpses of it. Furthermore this may give you the impression that certain physical postures can open the third eye.

None of the inward-facing senses are reached via a specific posture or way of thinking. But deactivating the outward-facing senses can be achieved in this way, so if you find a specific technique that seems helpful regarding this by all means go for it. However, the fastest way to deactivate the outward-facing senses is to not know what and where you are.

A way to to deactivate the outward-facing senses is to use an eye massager such as RENPHO Eye Massager with Heat Compression. Besides from turning off the outward-facing sense of seeing, the heat soften the eyes. And when they are relaxed, they do not focus. Hence they automatatically turn inwards and upwards to merge with the third eye.

»… and there shall be no light there, and they need no candle there, neither the light of the sun, for the Lord God giveth them light.« Rev. 22:5

The thought construction that seems to keep you together as someone tangible is left at the edge of a black hole.

The thought construction that seems to keep you together as someone tangible must be left at the edge of a black hole so that there is nothing to smoothly fall into the formlessness of oneness.

When your eyes are so soft that they do not focus, there is nothing to prevent glimpses of Enlightenment to merge into one bright white light, namely the Enlightenment of that which is One. It extracts all thoughts, that you have stored making you appear as someone definitive, and leave them at the edge of what may look like a black hole, so there is nobody to experience the nothingness of you smoothly falling into the formlessness of oneness.

You can read more about a black hole in the article The ins and outs of a black hole.

Enlightenment is not an out-of-the-body experience as it is not an experience, but its preliminary stage of bliss and compassion, which is connected to the world via the pineal gland, is an experience that is often perceived to be out-of-the-body.

The enlightenment of that which is one is not an out-of-body experience. It is not an experience at all. But its preliminary stages of bliss and compassion, which in the world probably is connected with the pineal gland, is something that may be felt as an out-of-body experience.

However, most are afraid of loosing their identity, so they settle for glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One, which is like a blissful out-of-body experience – presumably linked to the pineal gland which appears to foster states like that.

If you are not tempted to stop at this bliss, but to go where someone definitive cannot go, namely into the Enlightenment of that which i One, it is not an out-of-body experience. On the contrary, there is no experience at all, nor consciousness, because to be awate of something requires more than one.

If you want to leave the Enlightenment of that which is One and be reshaped as someone definitive, you must recollect the thoughts, that was left at the edge of a black hole so you could enter it as nobody.

Returning from the Enlightenment of that which is One to a world where there seems to be more than one, you cannot know, you have been at the other side of a black hole, because you were not there and there is no other side, since there is no more than that which is one. In other words, the person you appear to be is not Enlightened. Yet, due to vague memories of that which is One, you are to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One.

It is not possible though for somebody else to know, this. You will hardly grasp it yourself. But for sure you grasp, that a world where there seems to be more than one is not real.

ac1d3bc0-5bae-4dac-921e-8c1c4d9f64e1ETHEREAL HARMONIES
The airy music you can experience with the inward-facing senses is full of ethereal harmonies, probably floating out of a black hole at the edge of the universe.

»I heard a sound from heaven like the sound of cascading waters and like the rumbling of loud thunder. The sound I heard was also like harpists playing on their harps.« Revelation 14:2, Holman Christian Standard Bible.

Being used to take a ride in the world of the inward-facing senses, that opens up when the outward-facing senses are not fully activated to experience a world defined by time and space, you sense the first sentence of this quote refers to ‘Aum’ or ‘Sohang’ or ‘The Word of God,’ and that the second one to ethereal music.

»At midnight when not a single sound is heard, close your ears with both hands and do Purak Pranayama. Listen to the sounds in your right ear which are very pleasant. The first sound that you will hear is of a pine bird, the second of a flute, third of a cloud, fourth of a dragon bee, the fifth of a ringing bell and then of a gong of metal. Sounds of trumpet, drum etc. are also heard.

Except for having scim read The New Testament and Bhagavad Gita Alexius have not read religious scripts. Therefore, most of the words in the quote from Gherand Samhita are meaningless to him. But since he hears music inside him, it is easy to pick the essence of the quote is the bliss of listening to ethereal harmonies. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Besides these, many other sounds are heard if it is practiced daily. These sounds are Anahata (unproduced) and come on their own accord. Nada is related to light. Light is related to mind, so mind gets itself merged in a sound which is the seat of the Lord. Therefore, practice of Bhramari gives Siddhi of Samadhi (i.e., makes Samadhi possible).

Mind gets eightfold more pleasure in the act of meditation than Japa (repeating God’s name), eightfold more interest in Tapas (penance) than the meditation, and eightfold more interest in music or sound than the Tapas. There is nothing greater than music.« Gherand Samhita, stanzas 77-81. Besides for the word ´Nada´ meaning music Alexius does not know the meaning of the Hindi words in this quote, but hearing music inside him – though not so bombastic as described in this quote – he gets the overall meaning of it.

Using noise-cancelling headphones is a great way to close off the outward-facing sense of hearing. Alexius prefers in-ear headphones, though, as they can also be used when going to bed.

A practical way to stop hearing the world of the outward-fencing senses and start listening to the music of the inward-fencing ones is to put both thumbs in your ears or use noise-cancelling headphones or in-ear headphones. Then without focusing or trying to define anything, be nothing but the ethereal music coming to you from what may seem far away.

For tuning in, it is best not to go with the sounds from the left ear. They often come from a busy mind. So instead, follow the harmonies that appear to come from an empty space a bit outside of the right ear. That said, do not pay too much attention to directions.

Maybe you will not hear ethereal harmonies immediately but the humming symbolised by ‘Aum’ or ‘Sohang’ or ‘The Word of God.’ If so, go with that glimpse of the Enlightenment of that which is One. It could also be that you ‘hear’ thoughts. But they will not disturb you from hearing eternal harmonies if that is what you want – nor from having visions of light, infinite sweetness or sublime intimacy.

Tasting the sweetness of oneness helps you not to focus on the world of the outward-facing senses. Since this eventually results in not perceiving the apparent differences to make a difference, there is not something specific to hide that which is One.

THE TASTE OF ONENESS
The taste of oneness can be compared to the transparent taste of the foam on a milkshake with a few drops of honey and maybe a hint of either liquorice, strawberry, or mint. It can also be compared to how marshmallows – especially those with a flavour of strawberries – interact with the palate.

Some Chinese Herb Formulations or teas – for example Spring Dragon Longevity Tea – enhance the taste of oneness, provided you already are in touch with it. The same applies to the Ayurvedic teas, that Alexius have tasted that include liquorice.

But it is best not to compare the taste of oneness or other glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One to anything else, as all comparisons are based on definitions from the past, thus cancelling out the ever-present glimpses of Enlightenment.

»Your lips drip nectar, my bride, honey and milk are under your tongue.« Song of Solomon 4:11.

»A land flowing with milk and honey« Exodus 3:8

»Whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never be thirsty, but the water that I shall give him shall be in him as a well of water springing up into everlasting life.« John 4:10-4:14.

Even though this taste is called the nectar of life in some scriptures, you should not expect it to make you younger or inject you with more energy in the world of the outward-facing senses. Getting more is an illusion based on the belief that there is more than that which is One.

One way of undoing this belief is not to focus because without it, the apparent differences in a world where there seems to be more than one become blurred. Thus different appearances do not seem to hide, there is no more than the formlessness of oneness. Fortunately, the side-effect of the technique for the taste of oneness is defocusing.

The inner sense of taste not only stops the compulsive focusing on forms but also your cravings for sweets and to experience  something definable. The taste of life is always there and it is free. Neither do you have to meditate or be pure to consume it. All you have to do is to put your tongue behind the uvula. And if you cannot do that, it is also OK, because doing so is just meant to help you deactivating the outer senses and the only thing that really accomplish that, is the intention to do it. Just like even you are at a springboard, you will not dive from it, if that is not your intention of going there.

The inward fasing sense of taste does not only diminish the compulsive focusing on something definitive but also your cravings for more, for example sweets. This taste is always there. It is free, and you do not have to meditate or be pure to enjoy it. All you have to do is to put your tongue behind the uvula and devote yourself to the taste of oneness. If you cannot get your tongue all the way, it is not a problem. Doing so is meant to help you deactivating the outward-facing senses and the only thing that really accomplish this, is the intention of doing that. In other words, reaching the uvula with your tongue is good enough. Actually, when you hold the underneath of your tongue on the soft area beneath the uvula you feel the empty breath (see What does ‘the empty breath’ feel like?) and get the sweet taste of oneness. This is not a metaphor, nor second-hand knowledge but Alexius’ experience from tasting the subleness of oneness on both sides of the uvula. As a result of this technique, the empty breath is activated. It expands the breathing, which makes the the body feel glorious. And the soft taste of oneness prevents you from focusing on the world of the outward-facing senses. Thus you feel absorded by the happiness of abstractness.

The taste of oneness unfolds under the tongue, when it is moved behind the uvula (the skin flap hanging down in the back of the mouth at the entrance to the throat). Placing it there makes you feel like you are not in the world even though you appear there. Besides it cutbacks the need to focus on the world of the outward–facing senses and also the longing for more, especially the craving for sweets. That is if you devote yourself to it – no techniques work without devotion. Yet devotion can work without a technique.

To get the tongue behind the uvula you may have to press it backwards for a long time, maybe for months, and finally use a finger to push it the rest of the way. However, this may make you feel as if you are about to vomit. No worries – it is just a feeling. When you are used to keeping your tongue there, it is easy, and there is no sense of vomiting.

»Khechari Mudra is turning the tongue backwards into the cavity of the cranium and turning the eyes inwards toward the eyebrow center.« Haha-Yoga Pradipika, Chapter 3, stanzas 32-37.

To taste the sweetness of oneness, called Khechari Mudray in the above quote, you do not have to literally replicate the ancient technique. Neither do you have to push the tongue behind the uvula as Alexius wrote above. Reaching the soft area underneath the front of the uvula with the backside of the tongue will do. See also the explanation in the above caption.

THERE IS NO WAY TO THE ENLIGHTENMENT OF THAT WHICH IS ONE
You do not welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One or samples of its four facets by becoming purer. Neither by breathing wholly, eating healthy or anything else you can do in the world of the outward-facing senses. Still, things like that may help deactivate the outward-facing senses.

However, no technique can do that if it is not the intention of executing it. In other words, the first step is solely about purpose. If that is to deactivate the outward-facing senses, many techniques may work. The second step is to devote yourself to the lucid journey in the world of the inward-facing senses.

These steps only apply to having glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One and not to welcome in its entirety, as it takes more than one to take any step.

The part of the world of the outer senses you want to experience is not meant to be blurry but in focus, so what you see is definable. It is the other way around with the world of the inner senses,. In other words, the two worlds does in most cases not work well together. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

The part of the world of the outward-facing senses you want to experience is not supposed to be blurry. It must be in focus to make the experience definable. It is the other way around in the world of the inward-facing senses. Your experiences there are abstract. Hence mixing the two worlds does not work out.

DAILY LIFE WITH GLIMPSES OF THE ENLIGHTENMENT OF THAT WHICH IS ONE
It is probably best not to be active in the world of the outward-facing senses while having visions of light. That is because the visual glimpses of Enlightenment can become so intense that the world of the outward-facing senses is hardly sensed.

However, if the technique for tasting the sweetness of oneness is only used for defocusing, it can be carried out all the time while being active in the world of the outward-facing senses. And you can enjoy the ethereal harmonies if you do it without putting your thumbs in the ears and not too long at a time. That also applies to hearing or feeling the vibration that Aum, Sohang and The Word of God symbolise. See Life has no secrets.

The result is the experience of a world less defined. Not to the extent, though, that you cannot move around but that you feel you are carried around.

That is, as long as you do not take the full tour of these glimpses because after 20 minutes, 45 at most, it ends with the Enlightenment of that which is One. Thus you no longer experience being someone in a world where there seems to be more than one, nor in oneness since that requires more than one. You are not someone at all, so there is no memory or consciousness of ever having believed that. Instead, there is what always has been and will be, namely that which is one.

The Hebrew word Elohim was originally a symbol for one perpetual present.

The word god, which is a translation of the Hebrew word Elohim, was at first meant to be a metaphor for that which is one and never ends. Hence the word god was originally a symbol for one perpetual present. Maybe because that is not understandable, when you believe to be in a world of linear time, the meaning of the word gradually changed, so that god became a symbol for one almighty force believed to have created the world defined by time and space in its own image.

But what is not definable cannot create something definable. Hence a world defined by time and space is an illusion and so is the perceived creator of that world.

APPENDIX ABOUT THE QUOTES
The terminology of yoga and scriptures – apart from The New Testament and Bhagavad Gita – is unknown to Alexius. So he does not know the scriptures quoted above. He found the quotes by searching the internet.

When everything is included, there does not appear to be something outside you. Consequently, nor inside, as that requires something outside you. Hence there is nothing but the formlessness of oneness.

Alexius does not side with Eastern or Western religions or new-age philosophy. Generally, they exclude what they judge as wrong by projecting it onto non-believers to make them tainted and themselves pure. Yoga, for example, is often based on meditation, where you must exclude something deemed evil to become pure, thus able to return to oneness. But that which is One is formless, thus endless, so you can neither add nor subtract from it. If you try to do that, you enhance the belief that there is more than that which is One.

‘The empty breath’ syncs the inward and outward-facing senses

Alexius Jorgensen in the bliss of not believing to be someone

It is not thoughts that prevent us from being in the bliss of nothing but the desire to accomplish something with them. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

NOTHING TWISTED INTO SOMETHING
It takes more than one to appear as someone, and there is no more than that which is One since it is formless, thus endless. Hence appearing as someone in a world where there seems to be more than one is a fantasy made from nothing, experienced by nobody.

That is not to say that oneness is nothing because it takes more than one to be anything. For the same reason, it is impossible to fantasise about more than one in oneness. Yet, it seems possible to sense more than one away from it. But since oneness is endless, there is nothing outside of it. Thus seeing something is a mirage. Maybe that is why science concludes that the world we believe in seeing consists of empty space.

Just like everything else sensed, the empty breath is invisible and colourless until the brain ascribes it to a specific shape and colour. But as the empty breath does not aspire to be something, the brain does not care to twist it into an object. Thus it remains invisible and colourless.

Not knowing what and where you are is the bliss of not believing to be someone

In the connectedness with the empty breath, the apparent difference between the opposing sides of the contrasts making up the experience of duality is cancelled out. Not in the sense that you do not register them anymore but that you do not perceive them to make a difference. Therefore, since there is no separation to attest to duality, you are in the bliss of not believing to be someone definitive.  Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

THE BLISS OF NOTHING
Though science seems to know that the experience of something is made from nothing, thus make-believe, they explore the experiences as if they are real. However, in Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings, we expose that the experience of something is fabricated from nothing by the brain, so it appears to exist. The experiences only seem real when perceived as something. If not, they are exposed as nothing. The easiest way to not perceive them as something is to go back in time to the nothingness that the brain twists into your everyday experience of something.

Since it has taken the brain one second to fabricate your recent experience, it only takes one second to go back to the nothingness it has twisted into something, thus the bliss of nothing. That happens when you connect with the empty breath because it resides in nothing. Connecting with it is not about being deeper, purer or balanced. Being something is part of the experience of being someone, and the empty breath is not part of that but the nothingness that this experience is fabricated from.

In other words, you connect with the empty breath when you do not organise thoughts and feelings into something specific but instead step into the complete uncontrolled chaos of thoughts and feelings to ignite a take-off into the empty breath

In the flow of not believing to be someone

Should you wonder, who chooses to believe in being someone, and who has programmed the brain to produce experiences that seem to confirm this belief or who are wondering about this, the answer is nobody. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

WHAT AND WHERE ARE THE INWARD AND OUTWARD-FACING SENSES
What you see, hear, feel and taste in the world of the inward and outward-facing senses are based on the same sensory system. Thus their different names do not mean they differ from each other, physically speaking. But they are different ways of experiencing the same frequencies of nothingness that the brain twists into experiences that seem to prove you are authentic if they are perceived as something.

In the case of the inward-facing senses, the experience of its world is abstract because the brain has not yet processed the frequencies of nothingness to appear as physical elements outside you. Thus it feels as if the world is inside you. But in the world of the outward-facing senses, the brain has completed processing nothing into something, so you appear as someone definitive in a tangible world outside of you.

However, since it takes more than one to experience something, and since there is no more than oneness, any experience is an illusion, whether from the outward or inward-facing senses.

It takes nobody to know where the inner senses are

The abstract world of the inward-facing senses is experienced when time and space are not entirely considered real. Ultimately speaking, though, these experiences from the inward-facing senses are not more real than those via the outward-facing senses because any experience requires more than one, and there is no more than that which is One since it is formless, thus endless. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Thus it is only in the context of the brain’s plot to deceive you into experiencing nothing as something that there is someone to experience an abstract world, lightly processed by the brain from the frequencies of nothingness and a substantial world, heavily processed by the brain from the same frequencies.

The abstract experiences of the inward-facing senses open up when you do not entirely believe in being someone definitive in the world of the outward-facing senses. But there is little left of this belief when you are in the world of the inward-facing senses. Otherwise, there would be nobody to experience the world of the inward-facing senses. In other words, when you appear to be nobody in the world of the inward-facing senses, you have not totally left the belief in being somebody. Nevertheless, you may initially feel scared by the abstractness of the inward-facing senses. But since this fear comes from the belief in being somebody and the empty breath undoes this belief, there is nothing to fear if you connect with it.

Not being someone specific feels as if you are nothing, which seems pretty discomforting until you realise that being empty, you are a vessel for the empty breath, which takes you into the high-frequency world of the inward-facing senses, where glimpses of Enlightenment become the base for experiencing the low-frequency world of the outward-facing senses. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

THE FEAR OF THE INWARD-FACING SENSES
You must constantly concentrate and focus on the world of outward-facing senses to make it appear real. It is the other way around in the world of the inward-facing senses. That is experienced when there is no effort to focus or concentrate.

As long as you intend to appear in a world where there seems to be more than one, it is best to multitask between the inward and outward-facing senses, so you can focus when needed and space out when nothing is required from you.

However, you can only do that if you are willing not to always give your full attention to the structured world of the outward-facing senses but also go with the unstructured flow of the inward-facing senses. That may not seem very comforting, but it is the other way around. In the world of the outward-facing senses, we are always afraid of not making it, whereas we have nothing to live up to in the world of the inward-facing senses.

But we cannot remain in this abstract world if we want to go on in a world defined by time and space. Fortunately, the empty breath is an automatic gear shift between the outward and inward-facing senses, so we go back and forth between them per our present situation.

Alexius Jorgensen have an automatic synchronisation of the inner an outer senses

The empty breath synchronises the outward and inward-facing senses. Hence, we become indifferent to being somebody in the tangible world of the outward-facing senses and thus responsive to being nobody in the abstract world of the inward-facing senses. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Alexius connected with the empty breath when he, as a child, every night devoted himself to the whereabouts of the breath, thus going to sleep in the bliss of nothing. However, others were talking so much about becoming something higher, so the bliss of nothing seemed foolish to bring about.

Thus he hid the emptiness by pretending to be something until he started writing Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings in 2012. But it was not before writing HACK #5, A state of not-knowing is nothing but bliss, he named the way to the bliss of nothing as the empty breath.

THE EMPTY BREATH SYNCS THE INWARD AND OUTWARD-FACING SENSES
Even though you hide from the sun, it remains where it is – likewise, the empty breath. Therefore, if we once connected with it, even briefly, the empty breath remains with us. It does not know we do not feel connected because it is unaware that we believe we are separated beings in the low-frequency world of the outward-facing senses.

Yet, the empty breath senses the stress from this belief, so it synchs our discomfort with the high-frequency world of the inward-facing senses. It does not do it because this world is more peaceful than the world of the outward-facing senses. But because the stress in the low-frequency world of the outward-facing senses does not seem stressful in the high-frequency world of the inward-facing senses.

In other words, since the abstractness of the inward-facing senses syncs with the solidness of the outward-facing senses per what and where we appear to be, none of them seems to dominate. Actually, when synced, they do not look like something but nothing.

Connecting with the empty breath does not require meditation or other techniques based on exclusion, restraint and control. But neither does the connection require you to not be exclusive because if you stand by your unwillingness to be include everything unedited, the uncontrolled energy of suppression ignites a take-off to the empty breath.

But this does not work if you suppress the small involuntary movements brought about by small explosions of thoughts igniting mini take-offs into the empty breath, where you fall into place with the inward and outward-facing senses. Therefore, follow your present, electric-like, physical and mental impulses to get this synchronisation. For example, if the shoulders tighten up, be ready for mental relaxation when they fall. Or, if feeling sad, be prepared to feel physically good from a wholesome breath.

Sometimes, something more extreme is needed to make you realise the senses have been synced, like when Alexius as a child, returned to his home after school, ranged the doorbell with blood on the head, and said, Who am I? He had been involved in an accident and had no idea about what and where he was. That remained, although his parents thought he soon returned to normal. However, being like they expected was something he pretended as he always had done but was unaware of until now. Read about pretece in hack #1.3 Pretending to be someone definitive is liberation, and read here about Alexius’ childhood.

You cannot help the empty breath with the synchronisation. Still, you can prevent yourself from interfering with it, for instance, by doing Nordic Walking for half an hour every day, using RENPHO Eye Massager with Heat Compression before going to sleep and sleeping with far-infrared heating pads.

It is essential to accept that although everything looks like before you were connected with the empty breath, nothing feels the same. At first, it may seem blander because the kicks from especially high experiences in the world of the outward-facing senses are gone. But when you realise that is because, in the connection with the empty breath, you do not split up the duality pairs in separate entities.

Therefore, since high is complemented by low, feeling high includes feeling down, and vice versa, so you feel complete regardless of going up or down. This literally feels like being the waves of the ocean, where you are neither up nor down but in the constant movement between opposites. See hack #4.4 The duality flow goes to non-duality.

There are many ways to appear in a world defined by time and space, but there is no way to leave it because you are not in it. Like within the context of such a world, a dreamer is not in their dream and, therefore, does not return to bed when the dream is over. Likewise, you do not return to the formlessness of oneness when your apparent life in a world defined by time and space is finished because you never left the formlessness of oneness. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

APPENDIX
Since most resist being nobody, they are unwilling to undo the belief in being somebody. But if you acknowledge this, you confirm what you appear to be is make-believe. Thus you have the willingness to undo the belief in being somebody. See also Willingness not to exclude but include undoes the belief in a world where there seems to be more than one.

That does not mean you suddenly are gone, reborn or awakened. The story of Santa Claus does not change when you grow up. What changes is that we do not believe it is real anymore. However, there is one difference between the story of Santa Claus and the story of someone specific in a world defined by time and space. When the belief in the latter is undone or in the process of being it, you are not disappointed. Instead, you feel free to enjoy the story till it ends.

You can take breaks from the story by connecting with the empty breath, thus being in a state of not-knowing. And when not connected with the empty breath, it helps you live out the story by syncing the inward and outward-facing. Since this makes you indifferent to a specific interpretation of something, you are in the duality flow. See hack #4.4 The duality flow goes to non-duality.

NOTES:

Notes on ‘the empty breath’

Updated December 1, 2022

It may not always be the experience that the empty breath is your best friend because it does not help you regarding what and where you like to be. Instead, it helps you see everything through its eyes of indifference, so you feel good no matter what and where you appear. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

It is difficult to explain the bliss of nothing that the empty breath entails because it comes from the absence of perceiving experiences as something.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Connecting with the empty breath, you do not aim to go higher but to fall into the bliss of nothing.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Why is nothing so blissful? Because without something there are no problems!

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

When connected with the empty breath, what you seem to receive from the world is always the same because you receive what you give and give what you have, namely the indifference of the empty breath.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Feeling the connectedness with the empty breath, you cannot help but smile because, in the flow of the empty breath, you are indifferent to becoming and getting more.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Since the empty breath is indifferent to differences, being loved does not make a difference when connected with it. A

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The function of the empty breath is not to improve the apparent condition of what and where you appear to be. That would be a replacement of one illusion with another. Instead, its function is to facilitate the undoing of the belief that what and where you appear to be is real.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Being connected with the empty breath, you are indifferent to the apparent differences in a world where there seems to be more than one – just like you are indifferent to the experienced differences in the world of a movie or a computer game because you know they are make-believe. Actually, the empty breath still takes care of you when you forget it. Of course. you cannot feel it as described in What does ‘the empty breath’ feel like?. But since it syncs the inward and outward-facing (read more about that here), you are indifferent to a specific interpretation of something, thus in the duality flow. See hack #4.4 The duality flow goes to non-duality.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The empty breath does not know how to heal hay fever or anything else caused by the belief in being someone definitive. But it knows how to undo this belief. And since you get relaxed in that process, new ways of healing your hay fever may pop up. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

It is impossible to leave oneness since it is formless, thus endless. Yet, it seems possible to imagine not being there but in a world where there seems to be more than one. In that context, the empty breath is a life jacket you got from oneness when you left it to be and have more than one.

The empty breath loves you unconditionally. Thus it is not bothered by what and where you believe to be. Actually, it does not even know this fantasy of being someone definitive. It can only be shared by those who want that. But the empty breath has no way of being or seeing something because it is nothing, thus seeing nothing.

That is why every experience of something is perceived as nothing being connected with the empty breath. Of course, this does not mean that you do not do anything about a broken leg, for example. But since it is seen as nothing, you do not add worries to your broken leg. Therefore, since changing or transforming something or somebody does not seem appealing, you have a laid-back life with the empty breath.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Taking deep breaths or, in any other way manipulating the breath is not beneficial for connecting with the empty breath because doing so enhances the belief in being in charge. The same applies to making yourself centred, balanced, focused or something else.

But the willingness not to hold back thoughts connects you with the empty breath because their uncontrolled energy ignites a take-off into it, whether you walk, sit, talk or whatnot. See Take-offs into the empty breath.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The more you limit yourself to being someone definitive, the more you feel like collapsing. To prevent that, you improve your definition until you feel so constrained that you burst into anger or stop giving a shit about holding yourself together. Thus the uncontrolled energy of the suppressed thoughts and feelings ignites a take-off into the empty breath. However, it does not help you escape your cage but the belief that you are in it.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

When you do not define what is going on so you can remain in the fantasy of being someone unique, unconfined thoughts or feelings repeatedly shoot off to ignite a take-off into the empty breath.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Connecting with the empty breath has nothing to do with appearance but with being a medium for nothing, which you are when there is a willingness not to look for something specific. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

What you see on the screen are zeros and ones stored on a hard disk simulated as something on the screen. Yet, it is not before the combination of zeros and ones on the hard disk is processed by an app into the world that appears to be on the screen that the nothingness of the hard disk is experienced as a world that you can change.

The empty breath, which in this context is unprocessed zeros and ones, does not know that you assign special meaning to the nothingness on the screen, which in this context is the world, so you appear to be someone experiencing something instead of nothing.

All the empty breath knows is that there is no more than the formlessness of oneness. Thus all that it wants is to breathe emptiness into what you believe to be and see so that it does not seem to hide, there never was or will be more than that which is One since it is formless, thus endless.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

If the present stream of thoughts or feelings is not manipulated or suppressed, its natural energy ignites a take-off into the empty breath. You can make up stories of love or anything else in its presence without leaving the empty breath because it sees the world where you believe in being as a blank computer screen. So although the stories you fabricate seem to disclose something, the screen remains empty.

In other words, it does not matter how you perceive the experiences produced by the brain when you are with the empty breath. You do not need the happiness from being in sync with the brain. You are in the bliss of nothing until you define it as something.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

If something seems to bother you, use the frustration to ignite a take-off into the empty breath so you can see that what you judge as something terrible is nothing. See Take-offs into the empty breath.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Since that which is One cannot be experienced, it is ignored by those who believe that something unexplainable is unreal. At best, it is imagined as a state of consciousness in which the self has been transcended into a higher one. However, oneness has nothing to do with being somewhere or conscious of something because that requires more than one. So does being someone. In other words, the experience of being someone – or rather the belief that this experience is real – is what seems to hide there is no more than that which is One. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

The empty breath is not about getting healthier, more money, success, love or anything else, but seeing what you appear to be and have is nothing. Hence there does not appear to be something hiding the formlessness of oneness.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

As you probably have read many times in Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings, it requires more than one to experience something. Therefore, since oneness is formless, thus endless, every experience is fictional. That also includes the experience of the empty breath. It is as unreal as any other experience.

Yet this experience, which is deeply rooted in an archetypical image of a never-ending rhythmic flow, slowly but surely undoes the belief that it is possible to be and have more than that which is One. Furthermore, it makes it seems unproblematic to have this belief. Not in the sense that you are not troubled by anything but indifferent to it.

If this feels confusing, do not try to figure it out. But go with the chaos flow until you cannot make ends meet and feel as if you are about to explode, which in a sense also happens when the build-up tensions ignite a take-off into the empty breath. It results in a state of not-knowing, so you are not bound up with the belief in being someone definitive until you leave this state and return to that belief.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings gladly proclaim they are nothing. So when connecting with the empty breath, there is nothing to perceive the present moment as something. Consequently, you do not get the frustration of something but the bliss of nothing. Read here how to connect with the empty breath.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Returning to that which is one is not a matter of going anywhere. Oneness is formless, thus endless, so it is impossible to leave it. Unfortunately, it seems possible to believe it is possible. Fortunately, the empty breath undoes this belief so gently that we can enjoy our mistake while having it undone. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Though the empty breath has no need to be remembered by you, it is beneficial to remember it now and then. It makes you feel better believing in being someone definitive until the empty breath undoes this belief.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The empty breath automatically syncs the outer and the inward-facing senses, so it feels good to believe in a world where there seems to be more than one while it undoes that belief.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

A state of not-knowing does not only come from the empty breath. It is the outcome of all duality hacks. But if the state always is the same cannot be known because nobody is conscious of it.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The changeover to a state of not-knowing may seem unpleasant. That is because the brain tries to distract you from leaving its definable world by producing very tangible and disturbing experiences, making you feel attacked as someone definitive. See also Stories about inclusion.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Following the empty breath, you automatically multitask because it does not know the concept of focusing on something specific. So when you do not feel the empty breath, multitasking makes you feel it.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Entering a state of not-knowing (see A state of not-knowing, how to get there) only takes a second. It happens automatically when you have lost all hope of fixing your problems because that makes the uncontrolled energy of your worries ignite a take-off into the empty breath. When you leave a state of not-knowing, the slate has been wiped clean (see The after-effect of a state of not-knowing). Therefore, since you perceive everything as ‘it is what it is‘ (see hack #4.2 The brain’s script and how to perceive it to feel happy), you have nothing to hope for. Thus, you are free.

A world where there seems to be more than one is to be compared to a movie of oneness played in slow motion

Updated October 25, 2022

It is only in the world of duality, that there appears to be movements, and that there can be more of it. In reality no movements can appear, because everything move so fast that it is one perpetual present as you can see illustrated in these pics of a fan.

In that which is One, everything moves so fast that there is no separation – like in the first image, where the extreme speed of the ceiling fan cancels out separation. However, when the fan is slowed down, there seems to be more than one. Likewise, a world where there seems to be more than one appears to come into being when that which is One is imagined to slow down. The graphic is grabbed from the web and manipulated by Alexius.

In the movie Lucy, Scarlett Johansson demonstrates that when time is speeded up infinitely, there is nothing to see. This is comparable to that which is One. It is so speedy that there is no separation to define something. That is why it is formless, thus endless, and a world where there seems to be more than one is an illusion.

STEPPING INTO THE FULL UNCONTROLLED SPEED OF THOUGHTS AND EMOTIONS, THUS A STATE OF NOT KNOWING
When you want time to process an experience, it is not to understand but shape it into a perception that matches your conditioned view of the world, thus avoiding feeling anxious.

Since it calls for more than one to be aware of something, that which is One cannot be realised. Therefore, if you dot not try to understand this article by taking your time to process it, you are on a timeless journey to oneness.

However, anxiety is preferable regarding not hiding that which is One because doubts prevent you from categorising thoughts and feelings. Hence they run as fast as they can back to their origin of nothing – just like a river hurries back to the sea when not manipulated. Thus you are in a state of not knowing until you welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One or return to the consciousness of being someone in a world where there seems to be more than one. See A state of not-knowing, how to get there.

This is leaves from a palm tree outside my window, that I have processed in a very speedy way to simulate the look of such a leaf, when its frequencies are not slowed down. The simulation though looks far from how speedy the real world is.

This is a leaf from a palm tree that Alexius has processed into a fantasy of what it may look like when not seen in the world of the outward-facing senses but experienced in the abstract world of the inward-facing senses. But he cannot illustrate the formlessness of oneness because it is without separation, so is nothing to see. However, that does not mean it is nothing. On the contrary, since oneness is formless, thus endless, it is everything. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

ONENESS VERSUS A WORLD WHERE THERE SEEMS TO BE MORE THAN ONE
Oneness can be compared to a movie where it is impossible to distinguish anything from each other because it is played so fast that none of its frames can be seen. However, when slowed down, there appears to be more than one frame, wherefore you see a world where there seems to be more than one. See also the previous article.

So if you believe to be someone in the movie of a world where there seems to be more than one, you do not undo this belief by slowness but quickness because you need to speed up the film – or rather, your experience of it. Since that is a construction of thoughts, the faster they move, the more the frames appear to press on, and the less you get the experience of more than one.

The Ukrainian pianist Lubomyr Melnyk plays extremely rapid, intricate patterns of notes, which produce overtones so trance-inducing, that a cascade sound of purity makes you forget, it is ignited by the speed and complexity underneath it.

That happens by itself when thoughts are not shaped into interlocking Lego bricks, used to build an appearance of you as someone in a world where there seems to be more than one. When thoughts are free, they speed up until it is impossible to hold onto them. Thus you enter a state of not knowing from where you return with the slate wiped clean to the awareness of being someone – or have your consciousness terminated by the Enlightenment of that which is One, so there are no experiences to hide there never was or will be anything than the formlessness of oneness.

If you close your eyes after having been deeply involved in something, physically or mentally, you may see a blurred picture of that, like a frame of a movie speeding up. It looks a bit like having vertigo, but if you keep your eyes closed , it will not disturb your normal perception of the world. Instead, its unrestrained energy ignites a take-off into the empty breath.

The same applies when you worry and do not try to pacify yourself but instead step into the full uncontrolled speed of thoughts and emotions. Then a take-off into the empty breath is ignited. See hack #5.1 Uncontrolled speed leads to a state of not-knowing. The grahic is quickly grabbed from the web.

In short, returning to oneness is not about slowing down thoughts, least of all stopping them. In the context of the movie metaphor, you are stuck in a single frame of an empty void, separated from similar ones, if you stop your thoughts. This numbness of stillness is as far as you can get from oneness because it is not deadlocked but free-flowing energy, moving at such a speed that everything is fused into the formlessness of oneness (see the first box).

Therefore, as already said, you undo the belief in a world where there seems to be more than one by speeding up thoughts to the extent that they do not appear to differ. Since that makes it impossible to experience something definable, there do not appear to be any shapes hiding the formlessness of oneness.

This picture and the yellow above have been processed from the same digital photo. Nothing has been added to the images. But the digital info is manipulated differently. It is a bit like when the brain from the same void of nothing renders a world in a world where there seems to be more than one. Read more about that here. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

THE PURPOSE OF EXPERIENCING SOMETHING IS TO FEEL ENTERTAINED
What you perceive as real, imaginative or spiritual is based on the thoughts the brain has combined like it composes a dream, namely turbulent, chaotic, unpredictable and incompatible with your rational perception of yourself and the world. Therefore, if this chaos seems to support your rationale, it is because you, in retrospect, interpret the irrational arrangements of the brain, so they seem connected per your reasoning.

However, it seems weird to the brain that you run around like headless chickens, trying to put it all together per socialism, for example, instead of being entertained by the experiences it creates for you. The brain does not understand your logic. It only cares about entertainment. Like a magician, it likes pulling rabbits out of hats. For example, doing the laundry, you start as normal. But to entertain you, it breaks conformity by drawing you to the window to see a demonstration on the street. Looking at that, you feel amused and return energised to the laundry. That is all. There is nothing special to understand.

On the other hand, if you had planned to do the laundry linearly and tried to stick to that, going to the window would not seem entertaining but disturbing. Hence you blame the brain for distracting you and look for methods to control it, so you will be free to do things your way.

When you do not wish to be in control, thoughts do not seem bothersome because there is no need to arrange them into something confirming you are in charge.

Playing along with the brain’s game, you are rewarded with so much happiness that you eventually have no more to ask for. Read more about that here. Hence that which is One does not appear to be clouded by a world where there seems to be more than one. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

But just like you do not control the course of a dream, you have no say in how things evolve when you believe to be awake. The brain is always in charge. You cannot avoid it if it has scripted you to go to the window. Read more about the brain’s script in hack #4.2 The brain’s script and how to perceive it to feel happy.

That said, you can decide to go slowly or fast to the window. But no matter your choice, the brain has already arranged the subsequent events, like every possibility in a computer game is composed by the writer, wherefore nothing in the plot can be changed.

Astrology is an attempt to disregard the brain and make it look like something else than the brain governs you. The same applies to religious and spiritual doctrines. And the unfortunate belief that physical and non-physical issuess can be mixed. Read more about that in hack #4.3 The toxic mix of physical and non-physical issues.

Nor is it necessary to change anything because when not manipulating the game, the fear of falling is as entertaining as the thrill of rising. Therefore, since there is no need for something specific to make you happy, the belief in being someone definitive is undone while you feel amused.

But being angry is also a terrific way to undo the belief in being someone definitive. When you do not try to control the anger, its unbounded energy ignites a take-off into the empty breath. In its emptiness, your experiences of something are perceived as nothing. Hence there is nothing to uphold the experience of being someone definitive.

APPENDIX:
It is only in undoing the belief in more than one that thoughts should not be organised into specific shapes. Appearing to be someone in a world where there seems to be more than one, thoughts must be set up in particular constructions to confirm your appearance. But maybe not how you expect.

Going everywhere and nowhere with ‘the empty breath’

Updated November 11, 2022

Although being in the bliss of nothing is straightforward, it may seem complicated if you assume thoughts must be controlled or stopped because focusing on them is impossible in the bliss of nothing. Neither is focussing beneficial for getting there. On the contrary, when not holding onto thoughts by concentrating on them, they speed up until the explosion of their unedited energy ignites a take-off into the empty breath and its blissful state of not-knowing. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

When you connect with the empty breath, it may feel like you have two kinds of breaths. You struggle with the well-known one by taking quick gasps of air, deep breaths or manipulating it per yoga. And then the empty breath, which may feel like it does not supply you with enough air. But that is because it has a slower pace than you are used to, with a more extended break between breathing in and out to keep a healthy balance between breathing in oxygen and breathing out carbon dioxide.

GOING FROM THE ABDOMEN WITH THE EMPTY BREATH
It does not feel like you make the empty breath, but a ‘generator’ in the abdomen. First, very gently, it expands the abdomen, the belly, and the chest. Then, after a short break, it goes the other way to contract the body. And so on. It feels like hardly any air is coming through the nose. That is because the empty breath is experienced with the inward-facing senses, and since that requires the outward-facing senses to be turned down, you are not much aware of physical movements.

Read more about the inward-fencing senses in The empty breath syncs the inward and outward-facing senses.

But as long as you do not compare the experience of the empty breath with the physical one, it feels as the empty breath, like an inner breath, brings about enough air. On the other hand, if you compare it with the physical breath, you do not feel the empty breath because it is not a physical experience. The same applies if you try to make it yourself.

Physical speaking, breathing can be through the mouth if that suits you better than through the nose. But the latter is better for defocusing because that allows you to use the mouth for the taste of oneness technique, thus getting its side-effect of defocusing so you do not focus on the empty breath or something else. Thus you can be in the bliss of nothing. See the paragraph The taste of life in The four aspects of Enlightenment and how to sample them.

Following the rhythm of the breath as described here and elsewhere in HACK #5, A state of not-knowing is nothing but bliss is hypnotising. Thus you forget to experience yourself as someone separated from others by time and space. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Please be aware that this article does not intend to present a factual explanation of breathing when the empty breath is in the driving seat but a description of how it may feel. Since it is felt via the inward-facing senses and the physical breath is felt by the outward-facing senses, the empty breath goes on undisturbed by the physical condition of your body.

Therefore, if you have an issue with the lungs that shortens the physical breath, you still get the whole experience of the empty breath when you remain in the inward-facing senses and patiently wait for the empty breath to fill your lungs with the bliss of nothing. Remember that since there was nothing before there was something, the nothingness of the empty breath gives you maximum charge if you are not expecting something.

The generator of the physical breath is the muscle called the diaphragm, between the stomach and the chest (see Wikipedia). But, as already said, the ‘dynamo’ of the empty breath is in the abdomen. From there, you follow the flow of the empty breath to the top of the head while the body expands from the abdomen to the chest. At the same time, you stick to the thoughts and/or feelings popping up without editing them. In the top of your head, the gentle explosion of unbounded thoughts and feelings erases the perception of being someone. Hence it is like having a body that is not there because you are in the bliss of nothing. However, if it is exactly the same for you is not to know because you are in a state of not-knowing.

This state of not-knowing remains while the body contracts and you follow the flow of the empty breath down to the abdomen. From there, you start over again, so going up and down keeps you in a state of not-knowing, provided you do not perceive an appearance, like your spouse, to make a difference. That is not to say that a state of not-knowing resides in the flow of the physical breath, nor anywhere in the body or the aura. It is nowhere in particular. That is why it is obscured by the experiences of time and space that seem to confirm you as someone definitive in a tangible world.

If the flow you follow going up and down follows a line, a bit curved, it feels like being in the swing of the empty breath. But if the flow is circular, you surf one of the circles in the empty breath. Or perhaps you listen to the transparent sound of it. Read about this in the article What does the empty breath feel like?. If it feels natural to change between those ways of experiencing the empty breath, you do that – or maybe you do them simultaneously.

But if you stay in a state of not-knowing for more than 20 minutes, 45 at most, at a time, you cannot return to the experience of being someone definitive in a world where there seems to be more than one. Read more about that here. So if you want that, you better leave a state of not-knowing relatively quickly. Doing that, you return to the conscious experience of being someone definitive with the slate wiped clean. Therefore, since you come back unconditioned, igniting a new take-off into the empty breath is easy. After the box, we take a closer look at how you can quickly go back and forth between a state of not-knowing and the conscious experience of being someone.

The empty breath cancels out the apparent differences in a world where there seems to be more than one. This does not mean that they are not experienced as different, but that it is not perceived to make a difference. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

When you every so often return to the empty breath, nothing remains a problem because the differences that appear to have caused it, are cancelled out the very moment you are with the empty breath.

That is, if you do not prevent the empty breath from doing that by insisting that your work, for example, makes a difference. Fortunately, the frustration that seems to arise from claiming to know what is right can be used to ignite a take-off into the empty breath.

GOING UP AND DOWN AND NOWHERE WITH THE EMPTY BREATH
In the above example of following the empty breath, you remained in a state of not-knowing when you left the abdomen the second time. But in this sample, you instead return to the conscious experience of being someone definitive when you leave the abdomen the second time. From there, you follow the empty breath to the head. On the way, you stop perceiving the thoughts and feelings constituting the experience of being someone as something. Hence you arrive in the head as empty as the empty breath and go down to the abdomen like that when the body contracts. From there, you go up to the head again as someone definitive and leave it as nobody – and so on.

What you believe in being is gently falling apart when rapidly going back and forth between the consciousness of being someone definitive and a state of not-knowing, because in the latter all definitions are ignored. Therefore, since you do not perceive yourself as special when returning to the conscious experience of being someone, it is easy to go back to a state of not-knowing.

Having done this for a while, going back and forth between a state of not-knowing and the conscious experience of being someone becomes automatic. However, you do not know when you are connected with the empty breath since you are in a state of not-knowing. And, eventually, you do not know when you are conscious of being someone definitive because the contrast of up and down is soon cancelled out (read more about that here). Thus you appear to be nobody going nowhere and yet everywhere.

In short, the rapid on-and-off connection with the empty breath sooner or later ends all experiences because it cancels out differences. Without them, there is nothing definite to encounter. And thus, not something to hide, there is nothing but that which is one since it is formless, thus endless.

Suppose you think you find something better around the next corner. In that case, you will probably not notice the empty breath because it is not behind anything but before everything that the brain has twisted into an experience of something from out of nothing. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

GOING FROM THE THIRD EYE WITH THE EMPTY BREATH
So far, we have said the ‘dynamo’ of the empty breath is in the abdomen, wherefore you start from there. But if you prefer a more metaphysical approach, you can use the third eye as ‘dynamo’ and start going with the empty breath from there.

You do that by defocusing on the third eye. Then you wait patiently until the breath starts by itself. But you do not go with the flow of it. Instead, you rest in the space that seems to have opened in the third eye, filled with the transparent sound of the empty breath. From there, you probably sense the swing of the empty breath in the upper part of the body, and when breathing in, you see glimpses of Enlightenment. See What does the empty breath feel like?.

Whether starting from a ‘dynamo’ in the abdomen or the third eye to go with the flow of the empty breath, the streaming of thoughts is called off. However, now and then, it comes back and then disappears in the next breath. Hence you cannot hold onto something specific. No worries. You are in the bliss of nothing, and although it is very energetic, you have no urge to achieve something. Therefore, since you do not hope to get anything, the world feels transparent, regardless of looking the same.

You can also find a ‘dynamo’ for the empty breath in the eighth chakra above the head. Starting from there, you go to the heart chakra in one or more of the ways described regarding the ‘dynamo’ for in abdomen, except you start from the top.

You do not need to remember every detail of this photo to get a sense of stormy weather. Likewise, you do not need to remember all the explanations about the empty breath to connect with it. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

FORGETTING GOING UP AND DOWN:
Connecting with the empty breath is not a matter of letting go or surrendering since doing so enhances the belief in being someone definitive. You keep the empty breath at bay if you try to figure out which way to follow it or if it follows the physical breath because it has nothing to do with the body. Actually, you will never know if the physical and empty breath are aligned because you are in a state of not-knowing when connected with the empty breath.

It is a matter of speech when Alexius’ Duality Hacks say the empty breath fills you with emptiness. It does not supply you with anything. Instead, it replaces your experience of the body as something with nothing. Hence the body is seen for what it is. The same applies to every other experience you have. They are nothing disguised as something. Acknowledging that, you are not bothered by something. That is why it is so blissful to be connected with the empty breath.

The apparent difference between a boy and a girl, for example, must be upheld as real to sustain the belief that it is possible to be and have more than that which is One. Differences like that appear precisely the same when connected with the empty breath. However, due to its indifference they are not judged to make a difference. Hence the belief in being someone fades out.

Should you forget to go up and down with the empty breath, there is no reason to condemn yourself because there is no self. Since it takes more than one to be or have a self, and there is no more than that which is One since it is formless, thus endless, the self is make-believe. That applies, of course, also to being connected with the empty breath. Nevertheless, it does not establish you as something because it gives you nothing. Thus what you believe in being is exposed as unreal.

Since the empty breath sees nothing but emptiness where you believe to see something, it has no need to be free from anything or be recognised as something. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

GOING WITH SOMETHING AS NOTHING TO FEEL THE EMPTY BREATH
It may be easier to remind yourself about the nothingness of the empty breath by relating to it via something. For example, sometimes Alexius’ calls it Uma, the name of his beloved dead cat. She is not a substance anymore, thus turned into nothing as the empty breath, so the memory of her hooked up with the empty breath is like a laser of nothing going through his perceived obstacles of something in the body. Hence nothing stops him from feeling the connection with the empty breath.

The speed of unedited thoughts and feelings ignites the bliss of nothing

Updated November 15, 2022

That which is One can be compared to a movie running so fast that no frames can be seen. A world where there seems to be more than one is the same film slowed down to the extent that it appears to consist of many different frames. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Contrary to common belief, oneness is not stillness but loudness. That is, if the speed of it could be heard. However, that is impossible because that requires more than one. You could also say that oneness cannot be experienced because it is an analogue movie played so fast that its frames cannot be seen. In the context of this metaphor, a world where there seems to be more than one is a movie of oneness slowed down to the extent that it appears to consist of frames divided by time and space. Read more about that here.

Those insisting in oneness being stillness want to take it slow, so they have time to make their special vision of oneness.

Therefore, since it is not quietness but quickness that is the bedrock of oneness, you need speediness to accelerate the slowed-down movie of oneness into its natural speed, which is so fast that it cannot be seen. Hence hack #5.1 Uncontrolled speed leads to a state of not-knowing is not about slowing down thoughts or stopping them but not holding them back, so their uncontrolled speed ignites a take-off into the empty breath. It syncs the speedy thoughts in the low-frequency world of the outward-facing senses with the high-frequency world of the inward-facing senses, so they can be further accelerated in the world of the outward-facing senses without you going insane.

Inevitable thoughts move so fast that there is no time to hold onto them to establish you as someone definitive in the world of the outward-facing senses. Therefore, since the inward-facing senses do not see you as definitive, it takes over the perception of the world of the outward-facing senses. Thus you are in a state of not-knowing, which is pure bliss.

Suppose you do not continuously see yourself as separate. In that case, the consciousness of being someone dissolves. Thus you are in a state of not-knowing. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

However, you can only remain in a state of not-knowing for 20 minutes, 45 at most, at a time if you want to return to the conscious experience of being someone in the world of the outward-facing senses because the brain falls into a coma if there is not a continuous dialogue – internal or external – about a world believed to be outside of you.

Instead of returning to the world of the outward-facing senses, you can remain in a state of not-knowing until you are unaware of something. Hence there is not something to confirm you are someone, wherefore the nothingness of you is absorbed by the Enlightenment of that which is One. Read about that in HACK #6, The inward-facing senses, Enlightenment, and glimpses of it. That does not only mean the experience of you as someone is over, but there are no memories of ever having been that because it takes more than one to be aware of something.

But most never enter a state of not-knowing, and if they do, they try to control it by slowing down the unknown, thus quickly returning to their familiar ways in the world of the outward-facing senses. That is why hack #5.1 Uncontrolled speed leads to a state of not-knowing is about unlearning your conditioned ways of pacifying yourself through meditation and television, for example, and instead, step into the full uncontrolled speed of thoughts and emotions to ignite a take-off into the empty breath. In the state of not-knowing that it entails, your slate is wiped clean. Therefore, when you return to the world of the outward-facing senses, you are nobody pretending to be somebody. Read more about pretending in hack #1.3 Pretending to be someone definitive is liberation.

To remember being a nobody pretending to be somebody, you may go back to a state of not-knowing to have the slate wiped clean again. Or maybe you perceive everything as ‘it is what it is,’ thus being in sync with the duality flow, which never stops at something specific, so you cannot be somebody. See hack #4.4 The duality flow goes to non-duality.

When you slow down or edit thoughts, their chaotic energy is replaced by the numbness of order.

Since there is no more than that which is One, everything in a world where there seems to be more than one is absurd. That includes Alexius’ Duality Hacks. Yet their application undoes the belief that it is possible to be and have more than that which is One. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

You do not have to do something particular, like sitting in particular postures or stopping your thoughts, to take-off into the empty breath. Instead, whether active or inactive, you acknowledge your present chaos of thoughts or feelings without trying to shape them by a specific belief system, so their unbound energy ignites a take-off to the empty breath

To achieve this, you do nothing but be what you think and feel (more about that in the below box). That is not only the take-off into the empty breath but also the destination because totally being something leaves nothing to contrast it, thus nothing to define you, wherefore you are in a state of not-knowing.

If you have already organised the chaos of thoughts and feelings per a specific belief system, there is no need to go back to chaos to ignite a take-off into the empty breath. You acknowledge your suppression by being nothing but oppressed (read more about that here). Since that means there is not something to define you, the empty breath can enter.

However, you do not know the bliss of not being someone before you return to the conscious experience of being it, and blissful memories of emptiness start popping up. Nevertheless, you know you are nobody when you do not care about what and where you appear to be.

When trying to control, change or stop thoughts and feelings, they are slowed down. Thus they do not have the speed needed to ignite a take-off into the empty breath, where they lose their apparent meaning, thus their apparent power to make you appear as someone.

Please be aware that the above explanation about a world of the outward or inward-facing senses is as absurd as any other explanation because it requires more than one to explain something, and there is no more than that which is One since it is formless, thus endless. That said, since believing in a world where there seems to be more than one is foolish, you need crazy solutions.

If you feel as an outsider, you do not solve it by blaming others but by solely feeling wrong. Since that means there is nothing to contrast what you feel, it cannot be defined. Consequently, you feel nothing but the bliss of emptiness. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

You do not get rid of an emotional problem by suppressing it but by feeling it. That is not done by sharing it with friends, nor by focusing on the cause with the help of a psychiatrist. These approaches disassociate you from your feeling. And you cannot get rid of it if you do not feel it.

So instead of sharing your problem with somebody else, feel it all by yourself until you are nothing but that, thus eliminating any contrating feeling, wherefore there is not something to define you have a problem or anything else. Consequently, you are in a state of not-knowing.

When returning from a state of not-knowing to the consciousness of being someone, like a criminal, you do not think in terms of right or wrong. But unlike a criminal, you do not replace these categories with a calculation of what you can get away with. Instead, you remain in the interaction of right or wrong, thus the duality flow. Being in that, there is nothing to disturb you from falling into a state of not-knowing every now and then.

Read about the duality flow in hack #4.4 The duality flow goes to non-duality.

MS 4.4 Sadness is a close friend of gladness

Updated October 20, 2022

When feeling sad is perceived as ‘it is what it is,’ it is revealed to be paired with gladness. This revelation sets off the experience of other duality pairs, such as weakness and wellness, disappointment and contentment or tears and laughter. Going with the duality flow, you eventually feel so entertained that you cannot ask for more. Thus there is no need for duality. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Suppose you do not acknowledge the negativity you have in your psychological sphere but project it onto others. In that case, you also disconnect yourself from your positivity because your negativity defines it. The same applies if you hide your negative thoughts and feelings in your psychological sphere from your awareness by projecting them onto vulnerable parts of your body. In short, when you do not ratify your negativity, the experience of being positive is fake. Read here about how you quickly bring back what you have projected onto others.

To formulate genuine positivity in yourself, you must restore the negativity you encompass but have cut off from your awareness. That is done by acknowledging it is your own negativity you face when you perceive something in the world as unfavourable because what you receive is what you have – like the sun’s colouration of your skin is determined by the pigmentation inside you. However, that does not mean there is a beggar in your psychological sphere if you see someone begging on the street. But by deeming that as negative, you have this negativity in your psychological zone.

Read more about the psychological zone in Where is the psychological zone?

Just like a quick look from above is sufficient to ratify if there is water in a well, a glance in your psychological sphere is enough to feel your negativity, so your reaction to it can be perceived as ‘it is what it is.’ That opens your response and reveals it is twofold. Read more about that here. And since the experience of this, and any other, polarity makes you feel complete, the belief in duality can be undone completely.

In hack #4.2 The brain’s script and how to perceive it to feel happy, you can read about how the perception ´it is what it is´reveals that your singular opinion of something is twofold. Hence you do not get the loneliness of singularity but the togetherness of twofoldness.

Any experience perceived as positive is bound to be complemented by another deemed as negative because everything comes in pairs of opposing experiences in a world of duality. A foreground, for example, is paired with a background so that they can define each other. Read more about the contrasts of duality here. Negative thinking confirms positivity, hate verifies love, sadness substantiates gladness, and so on. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

That was the short version. The longer one is that when you begin acknowledging negativity as your own, its interplay with positivity in your psychological zone may not get your attention immediately. Instead, you may feel like going to hell because you are overwhelmed by forgotten and unpleasant emotions that keep coming out of the dark. Read more about that here. Perhaps this starts slowly with a familiar sense of depression that you a long time ago hid from your awareness by imagining dumping it behind the pain in a vulnerable part of the body.

But since depression often is repressed anger, sooner or later, it flares out in brutal hellfire. Maybe it feels as if acid-like splashes come out of the body part where you initially imagined hiding your anger. Or perhaps it feels like a ruthless and evil force tortures you.

When something in your psychological zone, interpreted specifically as evil, is perceived as ´it is what it is,´ you feel it contains goodness. Likewise, there is success in failure and an angel in a monster. However, none of these opposing elements are important in themselves. It is the interaction of them that feels like home, whereas standing explicitly by on one of them feels like lost.

Not avoiding but acknowledging the feeling of hell, this single-minded response can be perceived as ‘it is what it is. Since that turns it into a dualistic reaction, hell is not alone but complemented by heaven. Amazed by this polarity, you realise there is no heaven without hell in a world of duality – just like there is no breathing in without breathing out. You cannot have one without the other. They are like two sides of the same coin.

In other words, the acknowledgement of hell does not make it go away but unmasks heaven, which lay bare hell. This interaction does not happen in a balanced or harmonious way but in an adventurous manner in which you experience rapidly going up and down between the pleasure of heaven and the displeasure of hell – like having fun going up and down on a roller coaster or relaxing playing yoyo. You can also compare it to the ocean waves: sometimes they are big and fast, and at other times they are small and slow or hardly there.

Since duality is about twofoldness, and you believe to be in a world of duality, going with the interaction of hell and heaven makes you feel complete. And since this automatically leads to the experience of other duality pairs, the feeling of completeness eventually becomes so intense that you forget to define yourself by duality. Consequently, there does not appear to be someone hiding non-duality. However, the process leading up to this may seem more comfortable if the problematic area in the body, where you once attempted to conceal a singular feeling, is fixed.

If you acknowledge every emotion that pops up in your psychological zone, there are no psychological feelings to hide inhe body. Consequently, there is nothing hidden to fear in the body.

In a world of duality, everything comes in pairs. So if you do not try to split any of them to hold onto a singular perspective of love, for example, you are aligned with duality. That does not mean things work better for you, but it does not bother you. You feel complete because you are in the duality flow. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

When dualism is accepted, you enjoy the interaction of love and hate. Therefore, since you do not hide hatred in the body, the concealed hate does not appear to cause tension that blocks the communication between the body and the brain. And since it has the blueprint of the body’s composition, the brain can restore the body by its anatomy with the help of nature and health care professionals.

The brain automatically maintains the body if you do not try to perfect it through mental ideas of wellness. The body sees such attempts as an attack on its physical integrity.

In a world of duality, there is nothing better than the duality flow. But since most want to be in control and establish that via single-minded postulates, it may, at first, feel anxiety-provoking to be in the duality flow. To stop the constant interaction of opposing experiences, you may decide to be unquestionably right about something. Although this gives you a sense of superiority, the overall feeling is despair because you never seem to get it quite right. That is,$ until you stop upholding singular opinions as facts but go with the duality flow. In that, any point of view is exposed as twofold. Thus you feel nonsectarian, which is necessary to feel completed by the constant interaction of opposites in a world of duality. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

To clarify, the brain, not you, is supposed to handle the body. Still, you call a healthcare professional if it needs help. But it does not need your help connecting with nature. The brain is already hooked up to the cosmos. That is why you do not fall off the planet, for example. When mental ideas do not disrupt this linkage with the universe, you feel entirely connected.

That does not mean you must abandon your wellness ideas to feel connected with nature but that you perceive your interpretation of them as ‘it is what it is.’ It reveals your reasoning is not singular but dual. Therefore, since you are in a world of duality, you are aligned with its nature. Being that, you do not wonder about the future because you are in the duality flow. Read more about that here. Hence your next step comes automatically – like breathing out follows breathing in. Be aware that the duality flow is not physical, thus not something in the body but in the psychological sphere.

This also applies to undoing the belief in duality. It ends by itself when your interpretations of your experiences are perceived as ‘it is what it is.’ That, as already said, aligns you with the world of duality, and since everything has a beginning and end in such a world, your dualistic interpretation is the beginning of the end.

Here you can read more about the obstruction of the natural relationship between the brain and the body and how to restore the connection.

A state of not-knowing does not provide you with the fulfilment of duality but the bliss of nothing. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Should the descent into hell* seem so distressing that you overlook its counterpart, heaven, a break from duality may be the way to go. This is not done by pacifying yourself via meditation, praying or sedative music but by not withholding your anxiety, so its full speed ignites a take-off into the empty breath (read more about that in hack #5.1 Uncontrolled speed leads to a state of not-knowing).

The empty breath immediately brings you into a state of not-knowing. Here experiences go on as usual. But since there is nobody to respond to them, there are no reactions to establish them as different. Hence the idea that you can be and have more than that which is one falls apart. And so does the brain after 20 minutes, 45 at most, because it has nothing to process. Therefore, if you do not want to permanently undo the belief in duality, you should not remain in a state of not knowing for too long at a time.

Fortunately, not much time is needed in a state of not-knowing to have the slate wiped clean (read more about that here), so you return to a world of duality as the basic self (read more about that here). Since it perceives the response to an experience as ‘it is what it is,’ the reaction is not sensed as singular but twofold. Therefore, as you probably already have figured out, descending to hell is complemented by ascending to heaven.

That is not to say that non-duality is a fusion of heaven and hell or the union of all contrasts. On the contrary, non-duality is not anything, nor nothing, because it takes more than one to be something. Yet it is everything because non-duality is formless, thus endless.

However, the topic of hack #4.4 The duality flow goes to non-duality is not non-duality but duality. You need to be fully anchored in the idea that you are someone in a world of duality if you want to undo that belief – just like you need to play a game to finish it. Hence we continue in the context of duality in the following article, ‘What if…?’ versus ‘it is what it is’.

*) You may find the book Descent to the Goddess interesting regarding the descent to hell, even though it is not in line with Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings and is supposedly only for women.

The fake link between physical and psychological issues

Updated November 5, 2022

Those who think their body should be transformed and become more spiritual need to be more physical. The body is solely material. Hence it cannot be mixed with something immaterial. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

In most cases, you do not have to read Alexius’ Duality Hacks in a particular order. But in the case of this article, you may benefit from reading about the perception ‘it is what it is’ in hack #4.2 The brain’s script and how to perceive it to be happy.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

For years there has been an unhealthy idea about uniting body, mind and soul. But the body is a physical unit built to deal with material matters, not mental, emotional or metaphysical ones – like cyberspace cannot contain anything physical. In other words, the assumed link between a problem in the psyche and the body, or vice versa, is make-believe. How to undo that is what hack #4.3 The toxic mix of physical and non-physical issues explores.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

It is natural to feel tired after working, jogging or doing something else that requires much energy. But if you respond with worries to feeling exhausted and assume those feelings are connected, you feel like collapsing. But since it is a made-up feeling, thus unnatural, there is nothing that can heal it.

But if you deal with tiredness physically, the problem is probably solved by a good night’s sleep. And if you deal with worries where they are, namely in the mental sphere, you will see it has nothing to do with feeling tired but inferior because feeling exhausted triggers old feelings of not making it. But you made it. That is why you are tired. And you will feel anew after resting the body.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Although the clothes and the body wearing them seem closely related, they do not understand each other. The clothes have no love or anything else to give the body and vice versa. Likewise, immateriality and materiality have nothing to give each other. Their reality is different. That is why psychological ideas of how to attain physical wellness do not work.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Since psychological issues seem to impact the body greatly, many conclude they are connected. But that is like assuming clothes are connected with the body. They have absolutely nothing in common.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The body is made to interact with structures that, like itself, are material. That is why the body interprets your attempts to integrate it with non-physical feelings or ideas of spirituality as an attack on its integrity, which it must defend itself against.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

You will never find anything physical in the digital world. Likewise, you never see something physical in the psychological sphere or vice versa. That is why the concept of a body-mind connection is a scam.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Non-physical feelings are fleeting, so if you want to make them last, you must combine them with something more lasting, like physical feelings. However, immateriality and materiality do not mix, so their combination is purely speculative. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

The nature of non-physical feelings is fleeting, so if you experience a specific one continuously, it is not due to the feeling but to you. You probably have combined it with a physical sensation in the body, which is more substantial and may last a long time. Therefore, by imagining the psychological feeling in the stomach, for example, you seem to experience it every time you get physical pain in the stomach.

But if it is an exceptional experience of love you want to keep, you probably combine it with a pleasant physical notion in the heart. And if it is a hateful memory you want to hold onto, you link it with physical unpleasantness in the chest. However, just as you cannot combine a wall with the wind, fusing a body with an abstract feeling is impossible. Yet, it is possible to mentally blend the experience of physicality and psychology so that whenever you experience a specific kind of love, you think you feel something nice in the heart. And whenever you feel hatred towards someone, you sense something weird in the chest. In both cases, it is a mental experience based on the wish to extend a psychological feeling by imagining it is linked with a physical experience.

Since you believe in feeling something in the heart or chest that is not there, you have a problem you cannot address. That is until you split this psychosomatic disorder into immaterial and material issues and deal with them on each term. Should breaking up the psychosomatic disorder seem difficult, forget about it.

Instead, perceive your reaction to the perceived problem in the chest as ‘it is what it is.’ That renders your response indefinable. Therefore, since the body is set free from your opinion, it can outline the physical part of the combo and heal it in agreement with physical laws. Most likely, the problem is the muscles. They have tightened up to defend against your attempt to use the body to manifest non-physical issues. In that case, you can help the body by massaging it with fasciae tools from Blackroll, for example. However, to ensure there is no hidden heart problem, it is good to consult a healthcare professional.

The psychological feeling only seems sticky or hidden when imagined combined with something lasting. But undoing this fantasy may at first seem like torture because it involves facing the suppressed emotion or at least being willing to do it. No worries, as long as you do not edit the unpleasantness, it will not remain for long because the nature of psychological feelings is to pass on when looked at where they are, namely in the psychological sphere. Read more about this process in Sadness is a close friend of gladness. In Where is the psychological zone?, you can read about where the psychological sphere is.

Unfortunately, most people do not want to undo the belief in a body-mind connection. On the contrary, they want to uphold their imagined union of immaterial and material issues as real so that they can extend specific emotions and thus remain in fantasies of being forever in love, for example. Should their extended feelings be questioned, they refer to the bodily symptoms they claim are caused by psychological issues.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

When we project the weaknesses of our personality onto how we feel vulnerable parts of the body, such as the stomach, our perceived flaws seem to have been erased from our awareness. That is how we fool ourselves into believing we have been transformed. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

When there is no physical explanation for a bodily feeling, you have projected a psychological issue onto the body to fool yourself into believing it is gone or enhanced. For example, feeling wrong, you project onto the stomach and imagine a physical sensation there. Thus feeling wrong has been blocked from your awareness. Or you project love onto your chest and imagine sensing physical pleasantness there. Hence, your feeling of love seems substantial, thus lasting.

Since the problem is not physical, dealing with it materially will not solve it. However, it exposes that the issue is psychological. Thus you can deal with it in the mental zone. And since it is airy, one look at your issue is enough to erase it, so you feel its counterpart, which reveals your issue is not singular but twofold because those opposites keep interacting, wherefore you are in the duality flow, thus without brain fog.

Read more about the duality flow in hack #4.4 The duality flow goes to non-duality.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

You have excluded from your awareness what you do not like about yourself by imagining it is linked with the feeling of a vulnerable part of the body. Therefore, since your psychological issues seem hidden inside physical problems, you unconsciously resist healing the physical difficulties that you imagine are blended with psychological problems.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

When you see a scary movie that is experienced as real, it is because it feels like fear builds up in your body. However, the film has no power to do that. What you sense in the body is purely physical. It is not caused by the events in the movie but by how you perceive them.

You perceive the events as scary because you have conditioned yourself to interpret specific scenarios like that. And to make fear real, you project it onto a body part that already is tense and seems to get tenser when you give it your attention. Thus it feels as if the movie affects your body.

Sometimes, it goes the other way around. For example, you have a stomach ache, but it does not add meaning to your life. So you imagine a psychological issue from your past causes the pain. Unfortunately, this perceived combination results in an incurable psychosomatic disorder – especially because the psychological part is most likely pieced together.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Projecting psychological feelings onto the body and expecting them to go away when the body is fixed is like placing those feelings in your smartphone and thinking they to go away when the phone is repaired. No matter the material object you imagine to insert psychological feelings into, they remain in the psychological sphere. Hence it is there they must be dealt with.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

You cannot avoid events you see as sad, but you can refrain from perceiving them like that. That naturally occurs for the basic self. Thus it has no need for special events to make it happy.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

It does not rain because you feel sad, nor does the rain has the power to make you feel bad. That is unless you choose to perceive such a course and effect. Likewise, the body cannot make you sad, nor does feeling unhappy make the body bad unless you imagine such a connection.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

When you do not look for anything to make you feel better, your reaction to everything automatically is perceived as ‘it is what it is.’ Consequently, there is not something to upset you. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Many people turn the body’s signals into mental messages by dematerialising the body – the genital zone, for example, is dematerialised via tantra sex. Read more about sex here. Thus it seems you can mentally decide that the signals from the abandoned areas are spiritual. But there is no spirituality in the body. On the contrary, the body is material. That is why it defends itself against the attempts to combine it with non-physical issues by turning it into a weapon against you.

Even though this feels distressing, you accept it because this further disrupts the natural flow of communication between the body and the brain, so you, not the brain, seem to be the body’s boss. However, the body does not understand the thought-up vision of a body-mind-soul connection. So again, it attacks your ideas of integrating it with spirituality by making the body suffer. And on it goes until you stop inflicting the body with your ideas of unity.

Fortunately, it does not matter how abused your body is regarding applying Alexius’ Duality Hacks. They bring you into a state of not-knowing regardless of the body. In this state, the slate is wiped clean, So when you return to the consciousness of being someone, the foolish ideas of a body-mind-soul connection are gone. Thus your body is happy, and since you appear to be in it, so are you.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Most do not feel and see the body as it is. Instead, they have a vision of what it will feel and look like in the future when they have successfully imposed their ideas of perfection upon it.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

When you perceive your response to an experience as ‘I know what it is,’ it is based on a quick look at different points of view to see which one establishes you as in the know. The feeling of stress that this entails is not solved before you stop insisting, ‘I know what it is,’ and instead perceive your response as ‘it is what it is.’ This perception does not require you are on top of it. Thus, you are at peace.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

When your reaction to something is perceived as ‘it is what it is,’ the specific meaning you decided your response opens up and reveals it is not singular but twofold. Therefore, paired with being pure, lust does not make you feel ashamed but joyful. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

The fastest way to repair a psychosomatic disorder is to not perceive it as ‘I know what it is but ‘it is what it is.’ The first view is definite, whereas the second one does not have a monocratic but dualistic approach. Hence the second view aligns you with dualism, and since you are in a world of duality, this is the way to go if you want to feel complete.

In other words, to start the healing of a psychosomatic disorder, there is nothing you need to change but your perception of your reaction to it. Read more about that in The body is made to deal with physical issues, not psychological ones.

Sometimes, the breath is held back to prevent pain in a problematic body area. That is not healthy, nor is pushing the breath through it. Both approaches imply you believe that you are in control. However, you would quickly die if you should remember to breathe.

The solution to this is not to let the breath be. This idea also implies you are in charge. The key is to step back so that what you believe in being is out of the way. That is done by perceiving the fear that your problem seems to cause as ‘it is what it is.’ It reveals fear is not alone. It is complemented by confidence, defined by fear that outlines confidence.

In this interplay, called the duality flow, you feel complete, thus free. Therefore, since there is no attempt to interfere with the breath, it runs freely despite physical issues.

Whatever is perceived in the psyche to affect the body or in the body to affect the psyche is made-up connections. Fortunately, they are undone when you perceive your reaction to the effect as ‘it is what it is.’ However, you may feel empty when the idea of a body-mind connection goes down the drain. No worries. Soon you realise how laid-back life is without this fake unity.

Applying one or more of Alexius’ Duality Hacks reestablishes the connection between the body and the brain. Not by healing the body, though, but by undoing the foolish belief that you are connected with it. Hence it becomes like a coat you wear. It follows you, but you are worlds apart.

4.3 The psychological and physical sphere does not mix

Updated November 16, 2022

If you feel rejected, there is no reason for the body to suffer. Nor is there any reason for not feeling good if the body suffers from an illness. That is, if you do not mix a psychological problem with a physical one into a psychosomatic disorder. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

In most cases, you do not have to read Alexius’ Duality Hacks in a particular order. But in the case of this article, you may benefit from reading hack #4.2 The brain’s script and how to perceive it to feel happy.

In a world of duality, everything comes in pairs, where the opposing elements depend on each other. For example, you cannot breathe out without breathing in and vice versa. Although it is unrealistic to mix the elements in a duality pair, it is common to believe that you can integrate physical and non-physical issues. However, it is like trying to blend breathing in and out. You fuck up duality.

That said, since non-duality is formless, thus endless, duality is a fantasy. Hence everything in a world of duality, regardless of appearing physical or not, is as airy as a dream. In other words, it is only within the context of duality that something seems substantial or unsubstantial. And since you assume to be someone reading this on tangible media, you believe to be in a world of duality.

You cannot undo that belief if you do not acknowledge it by living it. Hence it is best not to separate or combine the opposing elements in a duality pair but respect their interdependency. However, it is a common belief that physical and non-physical issues can be connected, so this hack explores how to correct that mistake.

Allhough projections are not real, they appear to be if you hide that their apparent effect is self-made. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

When you denigrate others to make yourself feel good, you live in constant fear of retaliation. Hence you turn the body into a weapon of defence or attack by respectively keeping your shoulders deadlocked in a backwards or forward position.

That makes the muscles inflexible, wherefore they, eventually, start to ache. The solution to your attack on the body is to acknowledge, you have chosen hurt it. By doing that, the body is not to blame. Thus it relaxes.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL PROBLEMS MUST BE HEALED WHERE THEY ORIGINATE:
In the mental sphere, you perceive yourself as someone in a body defined by time and space. But since that which is you is formless, thus without beginning and end, it is painful to be reduced to someone limited by time and space.

Nevertheless, it is a pain that makes you feel like someone in a material world. When you pinch yourself to determine whether you are dreaming, the experience of pain makes you decide that you are a substantial being in a tangible world.

Since your existence is bracketed with pain, you need to suffer to feel alive. And since being someone in a world defined by time and space is based on separating yourself from the formlessness of oneness, disassociating is also what you resort to in making the pain bearable. Thus you hide the worst part of your psychological distress from your awareness by projecting it onto the body.

Somehow you sense the physical discomfort experienced in the body comes from somewhere else. But instead of acknowledging that you projected psychological problems onto the body, you choose to blame the world for your discomfort. Then, to deal with its expected counterattack, you turn the body into a weapon of defence or attack against the world by keeping the shoulders pushed forward into a defensive position or pushed back into a place of constant readiness to attack.

That makes you feel safer and as if you are in control. Especially if you push one of the shoulders upwards to constrict that area further. It prevents the signals in the body from passing through the shoulders to the brain. Maybe the signals are not totally stopped but ever so slightly is enough for you to believe the brain is defeated, so you can take over as the boss and mentally decide what goes on in the body. Since this distance you from what you feel in the body, it seems less frightening than when the brain deals with the body’s feelings.

A way to keep negative feelings hidden inside the body is to hold the mouth closed, even when you smile. Hence it is as if no bad emotion slips out. However, everything comes in pairs in a world of duality. So if you exclude negativity, positivity is also banned. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Women tend to allow the body’s emotions to flow to the brain. But they prevent the expression of feelings processed by the brain by replacing them with a mental story in which a woman is the expert of emotions, both her own and others. Her made-up insight she uses to manipulate others into acknowledging her as a unique and caring person.

Generally, men also want to be acknowledged as unique. So they prevent the body’s emotions from reaching the brain. Thus they can make up a story where men, like heroes, do the right thing regardless of feelings. Unfortunately, this way of hiding their feelings stiffens the left side of the body, whereas the woman’s approach hardens the right side. There are many opinions about how to restore the body. But since the disruption is caused by the idea that you master the body, the problem is in the mental sphere, where you feel inferior.

The brain loves when its experiences make you believe you are something, so you do not discover what you experience is fantasy it has made from nothing.

However, that is a misunderstanding based on the perception that you are definitive and not dual. Fortunately, it is easily corrected. Suppose your definite response to something is perceived as ‘it is what it is.’ That reveals everything in a world of duality, so to feel abandoned, for example, is complemented by feeling supported. Since twofoldness makes you feel together, you do not doubt you are good enough as you are.

Ultimately, you are not dual, nor anything else, because reality is non-dual and it takes more than one to be something. But like you adjust to the concept of a computer game, you adjust to twofoldness when playing the game of duality.

Therefore, since you do not interfere with the body to make you look more perfect, its feelings flow freely to the brain, which has the body’s blueprint, thus knowing how to restore the body.

You cannot mix a circle and a square, nor the psychological and physical domain. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

THE FUSION OF MATERIAL AND IMMATERIAL ISSUES IS MAKE-BELIEVE:
To disassociate yourself from anger, you exclude the feeling from your awareness by dumping it in the body’s darkness. At least, this is how a psychologist explains it. But immaterial issues cannot be hidden in something material – like you cannot hide the wind inside a wall. So what actually happens is that you imagine combining psychological pain with an existing physical pain in the back, for example.

When you once have concluded your anxiety is caused by physical pain, you by reflex look for the same connection every time you are worried. Hence you automatically search the body for a flaw that can explain you feel worried. That is until you do not try to explain it away, but perceive it as ‘it is what it is.’

That reveals your anxiety is in constant interaction with pleasure to define each other. Therefore, since feeling worried includes being delighted and vice versa, there is no need to get rid of of your worries to feel good. On the contrary, you need them to feel geniuly delighted.

Therefore, since the psychological problem is sensed to be the same as the discomfort from the physical issue in the back, you believe the psychological pain is gone. That is why you, after having tried this method once, automatically combine an immaterial problem with a material one to make it go away.

But as already said, a psychological issue cannot be combined with a physical one. Consequently, its perceived result, namely a psychosomatic disorder, is impossible to heal unless seen as two problems: A psychological one that feels like anxiety for something diffused. And a physical problem that is experienced as more straightforward and matter-of-fact.

Best not to try to analyse or understand those two feelings. Instead, experience your emotional issue unedited and then perceive your reaction to it asit is what it is.’ Since that takes the edge of it, you do not need to get rid of your psychological problem by combining it with the experience of a physical one. Therefore, since the body does not feel invaded by a non-physical issue, it does not need to defend itself by attacking this and that. Instead, it uses its energy to fix physical problems.

Be aware, though, whether you project psychological issues on the body or not, it remains the same because non-material matters do not change the body – only the way you perceive it. Also, be aware that the purpose of Alexius’ Duality Hack is not to heal the body but the sick belief that someone is in it.

But even though Alexius’ Duality Hacks only heal the belief that you are someone in a body, having that belief undone ever so slightly, you do not want to interfere with the body’s ways. But you may wish to assist it. In the case of Alexius, he uses nootropics to boost the brain, far-infrared heating pads to soften the body, rollers from Blackroll to loosen muscles, and Nordic Walking to energise the body. That is not to say you should do the same. Bodies are different, so your body may ask for something else. If in doubt, consult a healthcare professional.

What it is

Updated November 2, 2022

There are many parallel universes in the brain. Like in a computer game, they are in the code that determines the subsequent events caused by your choices. Since this is encrypted, you cannot know the outcome of your decisions. Yet, they play out as arranged in advance by the brain. In other words, you can decide which way to go but not the result. However, you are free to perceive your reaction to the outcome as you like. If the perception is singular, you are out of sync with the brain’s script of duality, thus feeling frustrated. But if it is twofold, it is synced with duality, wherefore you feel entertained – just like you do when synced with a movie’s plot. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

3 X WHAT IT IS:
When your reaction to the brain’s script, for example disgust, is perceived as ‘it is what it is,’ you feel disgust is complemented with love. And just like going up and down in a rollerskater is amusing, so is the constant interaction of disgust and love. But perceiving your disgust response as ‘I know what it is,’ you do not feel entertained but frustrated because this perception establishes disgust as definitive. Therefore, both going up and down feels terrifying.

If your response is perceived as ‘dunno what it is,’ you do not care about establishing disgust as a distinct feeling or complementing it with love because you are in the bliss of nothing. It is like watching a movie where you do not get the plot. Therefore, as its progress does not seem to add up to something, you are not troubled by anything. Thus after 20 minutes, 45 at the most, you do not experience anything. Consequently, nothing hides there never was or will be anything but that which cannot be experienced, namely the formlessness of oneness.

Since this is the end of the illusion that someone is experiencing something, you should not maintain the perception of ‘dunno what it is’ for too long at a time if you want to return to the experience of being someone. In that case, you better cycle between ‘dunno what it is’ and ‘it is what it is.’ That is a shift between being nobody in the bliss of nothing and somebody in the twofoldness of something. You can read more about going back and forth between the experience of being a non-self and a self in Going everywhere and nowhere with the empty breath.

In conclusion, the perception ‘it is what it is’ rules out egoistic behaviour and ‘I know what it is’ endorses it. Yet most people prefer the latter because it makes them feel in control. However, since it requires much self-discipline to maintain the claim ‘I know what it is,’ they feel imprisoned. That goes away when the perception ‘I know what it is’ is replaced with ‘it is what it is.’ Nevertheless, hardly anybody wants this change because it endangers their sense of being unique. Hence they stick to ‘I know what it is’ by never being in the present moment but dreaming up the next one, so it seems to support ‘I know what it is.’

Even though a dream is made of nothing, it is experienced as something. Likewise, the world you believe to see with open eyes. According to science, it became something when nothing exploded in the big bang. In other words, no matter how you interpret your experiences, they are nothing disguised as something. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

The perception, ‘dunno what it is’ rules out the brain, which many claims they want, but few choose. Probably because, without the brain’s support, there is no self. After all, it is a creation of the brain. So almost everybody continues their ambivalent relationship with the brain’s experiences of something instead of entering into the bliss of nothing. Read more about selflessness in hack #5.2 The empty breath and the bliss of nothing.

No matter what perception we select, the brain’s script goes on as scheduled. That does not mean you are bound to go a specific way. You are free to choose directions. But no matter what you decide, the brain already has arranged the subsequent events – like you cannot do anything in a computer game that is not part of the script. Read more about the brain’s script here.

When you do not share experiences of love or anything else with someone perceived to be different from you, separation gets undone.

But as mentioned above, the script does not go on if you stick to the perception’ dunno what it is’ for more than 20 minutes, 45 at the most. When you do not participate in an ongoing conversation in your head, separation is not confirmed. Therefore, since oneness does not seem to be split into more than one, the brain has no elements to bunch up into a world with more than one. Thus it falls into a coma.

Those who claim to be spiritual are often looking for special experiences, which they will have plenty of when they forget about spirituality because it cannot be experienced. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

DUNNO WHAT IT IS:
As soon as your perception changes to ‘dunno what it is,’ all perceived tensions in the body lie down. Therefore, since the natural flow of info between the body and the brain is not blocked anymore, the body can get the information it needs from the brain to heal itself. Read more about that in hack #4.3 The toxic mix of physical and non-physical issues.

That is, of course, until you interrupt the healing by insisting on ‘I know what it is.’ That is not to say that you cannot help the brain restore the body. Nootropics, for example, may kickstart the process. A healthcare professional knows how to deal with zoonotic diseases like HIV, Mers and COVID-19, or other sicknesses caused by human interference with the world’s ecosystems – and, of course, problems like a broken arm or heart-related issues.

However, if you want to bid welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One is (read more about that in hack #6.1 The Enlightenment of that which is One), and, thus, the complete undoing of the belief in being someone, the condition of the body is not essential. But a sound body seems crucial to have a satisfactory experience of being a substantial being in a tangible world.

Should you not like to use the perception’ dunno what it is’ to disintegrate tensions, you can use the technique described in the paragraph The taste of life in The four aspects of Enlightenment and how to sample them. In this context, there is no need to focus on the taste. Actually, you use the technique for its capability to defocus, thus disintegrating tensions. Applied only for that, you can use it as much as you like whenever you are not engaged in talking and eating.

A little friend of Alexius. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Alexius started to apply the technique for The taste of life about 50 years ago. But he cannot remember when he became aware of its side effect of defocussing and thus dissolving psychological problems projected onto the body. So maybe this takes a while, or he did not notice it at first.

Anyway, getting the tongue as close to the uvula as you can is good enough when the purpose is to defocus. See The four aspects of Enlightenment and how to sample them.

Implementing the technique may feel like taking tranquillisers without side effects and expenses. You can also use far-infrared heating pads on tight areas if you like. And sometimes music is helpful. In this regard, Alexius likes Hanan Townshend, but you may prefer somebody else.

Be aware, though, that the release of tensions may, at first, feel like a descent into hell because, without the blockages to stop the natural flow in the body, it casts out everything you have inflicted on the body to support your self-glorifying vision of mastering it. See also Sadness is a close friend of gladness.

If you try to see reason, coherence, purpose or something else that makes your life seem spiritual, you will never get the relaxation and satisfaction that comes from the perception ‘it is what it is.’ Instead, you get the stress and despair that derives from seeking out thoughts to confirm ‘I know what it is.’

If every comment popping up inside of you about your impression of this photo is perceived as ‘it is what it is,’ nothing has been added or subtracted from the experience of the image. Thus you are in sync with your experience of it. But you are not in sync if you rearrange the comments, so they seem to prove ‘I know what it is.’ However, like parents also love their naughty kids, the brain loves you just the same. But only the basic self feels the love. The special self is so busy looking for something better that it does not notice the love gently flowing from the brain. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

THE HAPPINESS OF SOMETHING AND THE BLISS OF NOTHING:
It can be pretty challenging to change one’s perception from ‘I know what it is’ to ‘it is what it is’ because the former perception is secured by massive muscle tension. And although you may like to get rid of them, you hold back because the tensions block off the communication between the body and the brain, wherefore you think you can integrate the body with your ideas of spirituality by forcing it into unnatural positions via yoga, for example.

But that is not possible. Spirituality is non-duality, and it requires more than one to combine something. Besides, there is nothing but non-duality since it is formless, thus endless. Consequently, the experience of being someone in a world of duality is fake. However, while you believe it is real, the body should be handled within the context of duality – just like you deal with the experience of being someone in a computer game within its parameters.

Everything in duality comes in pairs, so being in sync with it does not mean you only have the experience of an external world but also an internal one. See hack #6.2 The inward and outward-facing senses, the Enlightenment and its glimpses. Going with their interaction, you are in sync with the limitations of duality as orchestrated by the brain.

Since non-duality is formless, thus without beginning and end, it is everything. This does not mean, it includes the experience of duality. On the contrary. Formlessness cannot be experienced, so everything experienced is fake. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Alexius´ Enlightened Non-Teachings are written within concept of duality. They do not claim to be non-dual or to know what it is, since that requires more than one. But they claim to know what is not non-duality, namely everything experienced because it takes more than one to be conscious of something.

Regardless of being in sync with duality, the brain injects you with shots of happiness because it loves all its creations. But the special self does not feel it because it rejects everything not perceived to be made by itself. And the basic self gets so ecstatic that it eventually perceives duality as ‘dunno what it is.’ That may happen while you walk in the city, sit on a bench in the park, watch a movie, or are about to fall asleep. You do not have to stop or do anything in particular to enter the bliss of nothing. Read more about that here.

When you again return to experiencing a world of something, you know it is made of nothing. Thus you can turn it off like you leave a dream, namely, by recognising there is nothing in it, nor you, because you are in your bed. T

Therefore, metaphorically speaking, from your bed, you can have fun appearing as someone in the dream of duality by shifting between the perception ‘it is what it is’ anddunno what it is’ until you suddenly remember that you are not in the dream of duality, nor anywhere else because that takes more than one, and there is no more than One since non-duality is formless, thus endless.
