COVID-19 and other symptoms of the belief in being someone definitive

The purpose of Alexius’ Duality Hacks is not to heal the body but the sick belief that you are in it. This healing takes the edge off the fear that physical issues seem to cause because they undo the assumption that you are somebody. Hence there is nobody to panic about. Nevertheless, you should still attend to COVID-19 and other physical problems materially. In short, get vaccinated for COVID-19. And apply Alexius’ Duality Hacks to heal the sich belief that you are someone in a capsule of time and space.

To have this belief undone, you do not have to hold back negative thoughts via meditation or other means of controlling or restraining yourself. On the contrary, the uncontrolled speed of thoughts brings you into the bliss of nothing (hack #5.1 Uncontrolled speed leads to a state of not-knowing). Here the slate is wiped clean for perceptions about how things should be. Hence you are restored with a perception in sync with the moment as it is (HACK #4 When you begin to live by duality, it is going to end). As nothing, therefore, is perceived to be missing or wrong, you feel complete.

Like a virus, a self in sync with the moment as it is does not have goals, needs or desires. Unlike a virus, however, it has a brain. But having no specific goal, there is no attempt to control the brain, which, therefore, is not hold back from injecting the self with shots of happiness. Consequently, in an untroubled manner, you naturally assist your body and others in the best possible way (hack #4.3 The toxic mix of physical and non-physical issues). Regarding COVID-19, this, at the time being, is being vaccinated and keeping social distancing.

Pretending to be someone definitibe, no conditioned belief stands in the way of enjoying the moment as it is.

Continuously reading Alexius’ Duality Hacks, one or more apply themselves so you can enjoy the belief in being someone definitive while slowly but surely having it undone. For example, it could be hack #1.3 Pretending to be someone definitive is liberation, which applies itself while reading so that you stop believing you are scared of a virus. Instead, it is something you pretend to be – like in a game. And since you are not what you pretend to be, nobody panics. Hence there is plenty of energy to assist the body in the best possible way. 

Be aware, though, you cannot pretend to be scared if you suppress it. You must feel it to pretend it and thus not be it.

Where do Alexius’ Duality Hacks come from

Since Alexius hardly has read any scriptures or so-called spiritual books, Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings are not based on an existing religion or philosophy, nor are they meant to be a new religion or philosophy but to undo the belief in such concepts as well as anything else that requires more than one.

Hack #1-4 and #7 (see Alexius’ Duality Hacks) are deduced from Alexius’ ways of appearing as someone in a world where there seems to be more than one. The way to connect with the empty breath is deduced from his connection with it. Alexius did not initially connect with it as he advises in his non-teachings. It just came to him. Maybe so he could deduce a way for you to connect with it.

The way to hear or feel the vibration that Aum, Sohang, and The Word of God symbolise, as described in The four aspects of Enlightenment and how to sample them and especially in Life has no secrets, is deduced from Alexius’ experience of hearing and feeling it. He started to hear and feel this echo of oneness in his youth. However, it was not via Aum or Sohang but devotion.

Still, it was not until much later he realised that hearing or feeling this echo of oneness is what those who constantly chant Aum or Sohang look for but never find because they expect something extraordinary. Yet having recognised it himself, it was not a problem to deduce a fast way of hearing or feeling the unpronounceable vibration that Aum or Sohang symbolises.

The ways to have glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One in the form of light, music and nectar, as described in the previous article, The four aspects of Enlightenment and how to sample them, Alexius heard about it in his youth. However, the speaker probably did not speak from personal experiences but second-hand knowledge as he only referred to others and ancient scriptures.

A guru, which means a teacher, is always deeply founded in the belief of being someone special in a world, where there seems to be more than one, because it requires more than one to teach somebody. In other words, a guru is no different from anybody else profiting on the belief that it is possible to be and have more than that which is one.

Guru is a Hindi word for teacher, and as such, it is deeply founded in the belief of being in a world where there seems to be more than one because it requires more than one to teach something. In other words, generally, a guru is no different from anybody else, profiting from the belief that it is possible to be and have more than that which is One.

Anyhow Alexius soon had so many visions of light that he forgot to differentiate them. Thus he bid welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One (see hack #6.1 The Enlightenment of that which is One). But, unfortunately, he cannot offer a technique for that because the Enlightenment of that which is On cannot be communicated since that requires more than one.

On the other hand, glimpses of Enlightenment can be shared. And since Alexius experience them continually, his guidance about them is not based on second-hand knowledge. Consequently, they may not be similar to what you hear from those interpreting old scriptures, as without the Enlightened of that which is One, you are bound to misinterpret them.

Since most seem to think Enlightenment is something you achieve, where after you are an Enlightened, amazing person, it is best to spell out that the Enlightenment of that which is One cannot be achieved by anybody because to bid it welcome, you must be nobody. In other words, Alexius has not been Enlightened but momentarily stepped aside so that there was nothing but light sucking him through a black hole into the formlessness of oneness. That is why he is to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One.

Most gurus do not talk about the Enlightenment of that which is One, but glimpses of it that they  experience while remaining conscious of being someone definitive. They often consider such experiences to come from the pineal gland. But the Enlightenment of that which is One, does not come from somewhere. That is why you must forget what and where you appear to be to welcome it.

Unfortunately, this does not apply to most others who talk about Enlightenment. What they say about it is not geared toward welcoming but fending it off. The old-school gurus may speak hazily about kundalini, supposedly mixing body and spirit so that you become full of bliss and wisdom. Newer gurus have speculative teachings about living in the now, realising the self or a higher purpose. Both approaches appeal to those who want their feelings of inferiority replaced with feelings of spiritual grandeur, so they seem acknowledged as someone special who is part of something higher.

Most belief systems are just a shared vocabulary for people feeling inferior, so they can hide their misery by sharing this vocabulary with like-minded ones.

But it requires more than one to merge with something, be full of light, live in the now, and realise the self. In other words, it is an experience geared toward a world where there seems to be more than one and has nothing to do with that which is One.

Any experience in a world where there seems to be more than one can turn into that which is One, provided you do not try to hold onto the experience as something specific, as there is no room for something definitive in the formlessness of oneness

The same applies to seeing, hearing, feeling or tasting glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One. That is why Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings distinguish between the Enlightenment of that which is One and glimpses of it. The latter is, as already said, an experience or a state of being, thus part of a world where there seems to be more than one. But the Enlightenment of that which is One is not an experience, nor any being, because it takes more than one to be aware of something. In other words, it is not part of a world where there seems to be more than one. On the contrary, it erases all memories of more than one.

All ways lead to Rome, they say, but they forget to say that they also lead away from it. So do not count on the ways suggested by the gurus promising a hypothetical better life in the future, because only a world where there seems to be more than one has a future. And as reality is one perpetual present, it has no a future. Thus tomorrow is an illusion.

However, for those teaching kundalini, higher self, freedom in the now, and sunshine without rain, it does not seem to be a problem that no one ever gets it. On the contrary, that means their followers continue paying money, giving hugs or whatever the teacher requires to make both of you feel it is possible to be and have more than that which is One.

Fortunately, this is not what Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings are about. They offer nothing because you have never left oneness, thus not needing anything since it is formless, thus endless

What sort of external music resembles the internal harmonies

If you are used to the ethereal music that the inward-facing senses reveal when the outward ones are partly turned off, memories of these harmonies can be triggered when listening to external music from artists like Charalambides. Maybe Mozart’s inspiration to compose music came from sensing the ethereal harmonies inside him. That is not to say that his music sounds like ethereal harmonies, but the flow of it resembles the effortless elegance and beauty of ethereal harmonies. However, this does not apply when Mozart neglects the natural flow to reach a dramatic peak. There is no drama in ethereal harmonies because they accompany one perpetual present, which has no beginning and end, thus no drama.

Bells and similar sounds that do not add to something specific resemble inner ethereal music. But not in the monotonic way of the bells in the churches because ethereal music is non-structured harmonies.

The organic way contemporary electronic music moves without going anywhere, producing ambient textures that seem without a beginning or end, resembles the ethereal harmonies. It achieves this by using glitches, other sonic artefacts, slowed-played steel guitar, chimes and bells, and analogue or synth sounds mixed with piano loops. However, these effects result in a harder edge and a less transparent sound than the ethereal harmonies, which have a crystal clear but transparent sound with no sonic artefacts needed to produce spiciness. Actually, the inner music arises from not trying to achieve anything.

New-age music that sounds like dreamy symphonies of otherworldly states – Karunesh and Marsen Jules, for example – does not resemble ethereal harmonies because is not symphonic or anything else that suggests a progression in linear time. And it is not otherworldly because the world is an illusion since oneness is formless, thus endless.

When Alexius experiences the world of the outward-facing senses, he does not try to change it into the harmonies of the inward-facing senses. Instead, he goes with the music of the outward-facing senses. But he does not do it to drown out the inward-facing senses. However, appearing to be someone in an illusion, Alexius does not listen to music resembling the inner harmonies. Instead, he adjusts to the illusion and its music. He likes Editors and Philip Glass. And he loves Boleros from the 50s, especially Lucho Gatica and Los Panchos. He also likes the Danish singer Bjørn Fjæstad. And guitar virtuosos, such as Dean McPhee and Derek Gripper. The latter is a classical guitarist from Cape Town, specialising in the kora music of Mali. Alexius cannot stop listening to Beth Gibbons, especially in Górecki – Symphony No. 3. Also Josephine Foster, and recently, he discovered Adrianne Lenker.

The inward and outward-facing senses, the Enlightenment and its glimpses

Inner visions of light of anything at all is not the enlightenment of that which is one, as it takes more than one to have a vision. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

It takes more than one to have a vision, so no matter how impressive it may be, it is not the Enlightenment of that which is One but a glimpse of it. It is comparable to a movie trailer, a sample of the whole, thus not undivided.

The world of the outward-facing senses is experienced via seeing, hearing, feeling and tasting/smelling something that appears material. The world of the inward-facing senses can also be seen, heard, felt and tasted. However, you do not get a sense of something tangible but abstract. It is also here that you welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One.

It comes through a hole that sometimes seems black. See the article The ins and outs of a black hole. But following the light into it is the end of both the outward and inward-facing senses. Hence the experience of something is over. Therefore, if you are aware of something, you are not in the Enlightenment of that which is One. Instead, you are in the world of something where you, via the inward-facing senses, have glimpses of Enlightenment while also noticing the world of the outward-facing senses.

If you for a moment forget what and where you are you are, the world of something does not appear to hide the formlessness of oneness.

You get into the Enlightenment of that which is One when its glimpses are not perceived to differ because then there is no separation to define you as someone definitive. Hence there is nobody to prevent the construction of thoughts that have replaced the formlessness of oneness with something specific being extracted by an exceptionally bright white light. Nor is there somebody to be aware that there is nobody. Consequently, nothing gracefully falls through a black hole that is no more because there is no experience to hide the formlessness of oneness.

Therefore, since what you believe in being has not been Enlightened, you appear to be the same if returning to the experience of being someone definitive. However, you do not believe this experience is real due to vague memories of formlessness. Hence you are to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One.


Since the Enlightenment of that which is One has no beginning and end, someone definitive cannot experience it. But glimpses of it – for example, travelling through lucid worlds of light – have a beginning and an end, so they can be experienced. This is done through the inward-facing senses, when the outward ones are toned down.

The outward and inward-facing senses
The outward-facing senses are geared to experience a world perceived as outside you, thus separated from you, whereas the inward-facing senses help you experience a world that does not seem separated from you. However, that does not mean it is inside you. There is neither anything inside nor outside of you, as that requires more than one, and there is no more than that which is one.

It is the same within the context of a world where there seems to be more than one, because, scientifically speaking, it consists of empty space. Therefore, what you experience is make-believe – also reading that it may be easier to undo this deception by turning down the volume of the outward-facing senses, and turning up the volume of the inner ones.

If you seem to see an E here, you are using the E, you have made in your mind, to hide all the empty space.

If you believe in seeing an ‘E’ here, you focus on seeing something recognisable to join the brain’s remodelling of empty space into something. The empty space is not the formlessness of oneness, but not when you do not interpret it as something, there do not seem to be substantial elements hiding the formlessness of oneness.

PARTIAL DEVOTION TO THE INWARD-FACING SENSES RESULTS IN GLIMPSES OF ENLIGHTENMENT
If you do not constantly focus on something specific, the outward-facing senses cannot fabricate the experiences of a world defined by time and space. Therefore, the more you defocus, the more the definable world of the outward-facing senses is complemented by the abstract world of the inward-facing senses. Thus you get glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One: light shows if you are visual-minded, ethereal music if you are auditory-minded, and flavours or feelings if you are emotional-minded.

In the article The four aspects of Enlightenment and how to sample them, you can read how to see, hear, feel and taste glimpses of the enlightenment of that which is One.

Just welcome the glimpse of the Enlightenment of that which is One that comes your way. But do not try to hang onto a specific glimpse or have it repeated. And it changes into another aspect of the Enlightenment of that which is One, go with that without trying to mix them.

These glimpses, as already noted, are not the Enlightenment of that which is One because it has no room for someone being conscious of something since that requires more than one. That does not mean what you believe in being is transformed by the Enlightenment of that which is One. Instead, it is dismissed as an illusion.

Practically speaking, it might be best to downplay the visual glimpses of Enlightenment in daily life. That is because you will have difficulty navigating the world of the outward-facing senses while having visions of light. But in most cases, you can safely go with glimpses of hearing, feeling or tasting the Enlightenment of that which is One.

The purpose of the inward-facing senses is to draw you into their abstract world, thus undoing the belief of being someone definitive – like a moth cannot help but follow its attraction to the flame, even though it is going to end of it.

Much devotion to the world of the inward-facing senses probably makes you spaced out in the world of the outward-facing senses. Yet, if you do not have to be present there, you can go with the flow of the inward-facing senses, as if the world outside you stands still. But suppose you have to do something demanding in the world of the outward-facing senses. In that case, it is best to mostly devote yourself to the outward-facing senses, so the abstractness of the inward-facing senses does not space you out.

NOT FOCUSING ON THE OUTWARD-FACING SENSES
As mentioned above, the more you defocus, the more the inward-facing senses take over. In the case of the Enlightenment of that which is One they do that entirely, and for having glimpses of Enlightenment, they do it partly. If you want to experience daily life in the world of the outward-fencing senses through the inward-facing senses, they are only used to the extent that you still can function as someone in the world of the outward-fencing senses. In other words, you do not have glimpses of Enlightenment, but you have an enjoyable experience of doing things in the world of the outward-fencing senses.

But you do not tone down the outward-facing senses if you want to escape them because you enhance what you try to escape psychologically. On the other hand, the more you wish to get close to reality, the more the outward-facing senses fade out because the inward-facing senses are much closer to the reality of that which is One. However, do not mistake them for reality. Instead, enjoy them taking you there.

Of course, this is a metaphor. You can never return to oneness because you never left it since that takes more than one. Therefore, you are not taken anywhere, but the belief in being somewhere is taken away, so nothing seems to hide that which is One.

HIGHWAY ONE
What you appear to be in a world where there seems to be more than one is a creation of the brain, governed by it. You have no free will but to perceive its arrangements in your way. However, this does not mean you cannot choose to go right or left, for example. But whatever you choose, the subsequent actions are premade by the brain – just like in a computer game where every step is programmed. In other words, if you choose to have the outward and inward-facing senses synced, the brain has a plan for that, namely, to take you on a journey without distance.

Thus you are on Highway One, which has no direction, and since you are going nowhere, eventually, you realise it has always been the case. Consequently, the belief in having left that which is One is undone. In other words, you are not a puppet of the brain anymore and never were because a world where there seems to be more than one is not real, as oneness is formless, thus endless. However, since we still appear as somebody in a world with more than one, we continue within that context below.

The body’s healing caused by partly being devoted to the inward-facing senses is a side effect that helps you not worry about its appearance and inevitable end.

THE INWARD-FACING SENSES AND THE BODY
Devotion to the inward-facing senses will heal your body because it gives the body the peace it needs to heal itself. That may not include genetically caused diseases.

However, due to the tranquillity of the inward-facing, a genetically created condition does not generate fear. Thus it is easier to deal with (see hack #4.3 The toxic mix of physical and non-physical issues).

But suppose the body’s well-being is the purpose of devoting yourself to the inward-facing senses. Since that means you focus on something specific, you do not enter the world of the inward-facing senses, so the body is not being nurtured by it.

TOTAL DEVOTION TO THE INWARD-FACING SENSES BIDS WELCOME THE ENLIGHTENMENT OF THAT WHICH IS ONE
Complete devotion to the inward-facing senses welcomes the Enlightenment of that which is One, which immediately erases all memories of you being someone. Since that means you are not there anymore and never were, nobody knows how long this takes. Besides, the Enlightenment of that which is One is not a process but one perpetual present.

But at first, it may seem to be a process, and as long as that is the case, the brain that produced your experiences as someone is still operating. Thus it can be rebooted and recreate the experience of you as someone definitive. But since it takes more than one to be anything, the reestablished experience cannot contain the Enlightenment of that which is One. So although you are to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One, you look the same. The only difference is that you know it is not you.

However, as soon as the Enlightenment of that which is One does not seem to be a process, the brain cannot be rebooted and, therefore, not produce the experience of you as a substantial being in a tangible world. Hence there is nothing to hide that which always has been and always will be, namely, the formlessness of oneness. There is, of course, nobody to be aware of this since it takes more than one to be conscious of something.

A perfect moment with glimpses of enlightenment is something you are aware of. If you stop being aware of it, you cannot see any glimpse. There is nothing and that is where the enlightenment of that which is one sets in. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

Depending on how much you use the inward-facing senses to perceive your experiences in the world of the outward-fencing senses, you welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One, its glimpses or simply have a pleasant day. The Enlightenment erases all experiences, so there is nothing to sense, not even that which is One, since it takes more than one to be aware of something. Having its glimpses, you notice the world of the outward-fencing senses, but it does not mean much to you. But just using the inward-facing senses a little, there are no glimpses of Enlightenment, and you are much aware of the world of the outward-facing senses. However, it looks friendlier, and you feel more relaxed..

IS THE ENLIGHTENMENT OF THAT WHICH IS ONE REQUIRED TO UNDO THE BELIEF IN BEING SOMEONE?
The Enlightenment of that which is One can be said to be the last step back to the formlessness of oneness. But as formlessness is endless, you have never left it. Thus it is not about going back but realise how you hide the formlessness of oneness by believing in being definitive.

As already mentioned, the Enlightenment of that which is One undoes that belief in a split second. However, this can also be achieved while enjoying the world of the outward-facing senses. In the below box, there are some suggestions on how to do this:

The more you perceive the apparent differences in the world of the outward-facing senses to not make a difference, the more the outward-facing senses function as a set-off to that which is One (hack #3.1 Inclusiveness is freedom).

The same applies to pretending to be definitive (hack #1.3 Pretending to be someone definitive is liberation or seeing symbols of life in the world (hack #2.1 Everything experienced is a symbol of oneness).

And it also applies to being alone together, which does not mean that you are together with one or more who also are alone, but that you are alone together with your fantasy of a world where there seems to be more than one, no matter how many there seem to be around you (hack #7.1 Alone together, we go home).

The empty breath (HACK #5, A state of not-knowing is nothing but bliss) syncs the outward-facing senses with the inward-facing ones, so you over time are able to devote yourself so much to the glimpses of Enlightenment that they do not seem separated, wherefore the Enlightenment of that which is One sets in.

You do not even need Alexius’ Duality Hacks to have the belief in being someone undone. All that is necessary is not to remember what and where you are because then the belief in being someone definitive does not appear to hide the formlessness of oneness.


Since multitasking allows you to experience both love and hate emotions simultaneously, hate is as blissful as love. Furthermore, multitasking disturbs the brain, making it harder for it to focus on something specific, thus undoing the belief in being someone definitive.

The reason that so many avoid multitasking is that it leaves them no time to suppress hate so they can uphold their perfect image of love. But since love cannot be defined without hate, their perfect love is fake. Thus they are not full of love but shit. However, not suppressing hate, your love is defined by hatred and vice versa. Therefore when you feel hate, there is also love. See hack #4.4 The duality flow goes to non-duality.

Here the world of the inner senses are about to shift to bright white light, which is gonna extract all the info you have collected in order to appear as somebody and leave it at the edge at a black hole so that there is nobody to fall into the nothingness of that which is one. This is not compatible with appearing in a world, where there seems to be more than one, so if that is what you want, you better make sure the info making up your personality is not extracted or you know where to find it again. This image could illustrate the last glimpse of the Enlightenment of that which is One before you give up being aware of something. There is no transition from having glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One and being sucked into it. And since it is one perpetual present, you do not know when it extracts all your thoughts about being someone so that nobody is sucked into a black hole, and it gracefully falls into that which One. It is incompatible with appearing as someone in a world where there seems to be more than one, so if you want to continue like that, you better stop the extraction of thoughts. You can do that, for example, by fearing to disappear because it takes more than one to fear something. Thus you immediately appear as someone in a world where there seems to be more than one.

WHERE DO GLIMPSES OF ENLIGHTENMENT COME FROM
Physically speaking, glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One seem to originate from a non-defined space behind the frequencies of thoughts near the pineal gland. It is probably also from there that you perceive the world when you are in a state of not-knowing.

The same applies when you pretend to be a person or perceive everything in the world as symbols of oneness. The empty breath – sounding like sohang – is presumably picked up from there as well, physically speaking.

Furthermore, the pineal gland might work as a receiver for signals picked up by the eighth chakra above the head. Maybe the pineal gland or the eighth chakra is involved when experiencing glimpses of Enlightenment. You cannot know because you are blown out of the experience – and afterwards, you do not know where to look. And this is fine because focusing on the pineal will not bring about any of the above. It contracts the energy, so you feel boxed in as someone definitive. On the other hand, defocusing removes restrictions wherefore, you do not feel limited to being someone specific.

Are there degrees of Enlightenment?

Enlightenment can also be felt and heard in several degrees. AUM can open your inner ear.

The Enlightenment of that which is One cannot be experienced, but glimpses of it can when you partly turn off of the world of the outward-facing senses. The answer to the question in the headline is both yes and no. Before elaborating on this, please remember that if two people drink the same cup of tea, they most likely describe it differently. Maybe one of them talks about it in an ecstatic way and the other in a very down-to-earth way. Still, it is the same tea, so – in the context of this metaphor – please focus on the tea and not the description when you read below.

In the Enlightenment of that which is One, everything happens simultaneously. Thus there are no specific elements available to combine into something understandable. Nor is there anybody to be aware of that or anything at all. Consequently, the Enlightenment of that which is One is not an experience or a state of mind. It is that which is One, and there are no degrees of that since it requires more than one. It is not to say how long it lasts because it is one perpetual present.

Returning from the Enlightenment of that which is One to a world where there seems to be more than one, you again appear to be the same as before, except that you do not believe in being that. It is a pretence. But whether you believe or pretend to be someone requires more than one. Thus the Enlightenment of that which is One appears hidden. You can compare this to activating an app on your computer or smart media. When you do that, the desktop – although still there – is hidden until you turn off the app.

Alexius is like every other person in the world not perfect. But unlike most others he knows, it is not possible to be perfect, because that requires more than one and there is no more than that which is One.

Alexius was 22 years old when the belief in being someone definitive momentarily turned off for the first time. He did not know about the Enlightenment of that which is One from books or anywhere else, and he did not consider himself to have – what the purist may call – a pure mind or body. He probably still does not have that because the Enlightenment of that which is One does not change anything. There is no more than that which is One, so there is not something to change. That is the revelation of Enlightenment – and there are no degrees in that.

Balance is a concept invented, so that you can always feel out of balance and therefore constantly is occupied trying to get it. Being on a mission like that, you do not have time to see that there is no balance in an illusion – neither btw in that which is real. Reality is one and it takes two to have a balance.

Spiritual wannabe’s often think they will become spritual when they have achieved the right balance, thus being in higher consciousness. But since spirituality is that which is One and it takes more than one to be in balance or conscious of something, it is not spiritual they get but numbness. If instead they acknowledged, that they do not know what and where they are, the Enlightenment of that which is One comes so fast, that the the brain has no time to distinguish anything. Therefore, since concepts fall apart, nothing seems to hide reality is that which is One.

Alexius has no answer to questions like how come he bid welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One or how come he returned to the world again. All he can say is that he is writing Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings in a world that seems full of degrees. So yes, in such a world, you can experience degrees of Enlightenment. However, they are not the Enlightenment of that which is One, but glimpses of it.

When Alexius was a child, he could not see the fully decorated Christmas tree before Christmas Eve. But he took some sneak peeks through the door’s keyhole and was amazed by the light he saw. Those sneak peeks can be compared to glimpses of Enlightenment. You are still in your ordinary world, from where you have glimpses of something very different.

In the context of this metaphor, it is not only the beautiful light you experience looking through the keyhole, you can also hear all the glitter move on the green leaves. And if you are more audio than visual-minded, these sounds might be more appealing than the light.

Apart from the visual and audiovisual aspects of the Enlightenment of that which is One, there are also aspects of feeling and tasting it. However, you do not need to follow all the elements into the non-degree version of the Enlightenment of that which is One to erase what seems to hide oneness. It is enough to follow one of the aspects into oneness. Since it is one perpetual present, the way takes no time nor going back to a world where there seems to be more than one. However, since everything in such a world is divided into more than one, you cannot bring back oneness. Nevertheless, you may have vague memories of non-separation. Thus you are someone compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One. 

Glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One is experienced through the inward-facing senses when the outward ones are partly closed. And just like you can experience something in the world of the outward-fencing senses in various degrees, you can get all manner of glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One. However, you only have one aspect at a time. The most common one is the visual aspect of the Enlightenment of that which is One. But whether you see, hear, feel or taste the glimpses, they remain in your consciousness to remind you there is no more than that which is One. All of them come to Alexius regularly, but during the day, it is primarily the emotional experience of hearing and feeling the sound that Aum or Sohang symbolises. It sounds and feels like the vibrations from an enormous vacuum cleaner or the ventilation plant in an airport. Alexius has met people who have heard this humming when meditating but disregarded it as a sound coming from their neighbour’s vacuum cleaner. People spend so much time repeating Aum or Sohang, expecting something mysterious to happen when all they have to do is repeat it a few times to get in tune with the humming. The word Aum or Sohang can be compared to the control knob on an analogue radio that you use to fine-tune what you want to hear. When you have that, you do not need the control knob – or in this case, the word Aum or Sohang to listen to the echo of oneness. If you hear or feel this humming while still aware of the world, you have a glimpse of the Enlightenment of that which is One. Its intensity depends on how much you are unaware of a world where there seems to be more than one.

All degrees of Enlightenment are experiences, and any experience is part of the illusion of a world where there seems to be more than one. However, these degrees of Enlightenment appear to bring you closer to the beginning of the world – just after the big bang – which is often experienced as a paradise full of ecstasy and bliss. Yet, like all other experiences, they also have an end. So does this part of Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings.

Notes on ‘the empty breath’

It may not always be the experience that the empty breath is your best friend because it does not help you regarding what and where you like to be. It is difficult to explain the bliss of nothing that the empty breath entails because it comes from the absence of perceiving experiences as something.

When connected with the empty breath, what you seem to receive from the world is always the same because you receive what you give and give what you have, namely the indifference of the empty breath.

The function of the empty breath is not to improve the apparent condition of what and where you appear to be. That would be a replacement of one illusion with another. Instead, its function is to facilitate the undoing of the belief that what and where you appear to be is real.

Being connected with the empty breath, you are indifferent to the apparent differences in a world where there seems to be more than one – just like you are indifferent to the experienced differences in the world of a movie or a computer game because you know they are make-believe. Actually, the empty breath still takes care of you when you forget it. Of course. you cannot feel it as described in What does ‘the empty breath’ feel like?. But since it syncs the inward and outward-facing (read more about that here), you are indifferent to a specific interpretation of something, thus in the duality flow. See hack #4.4 The duality flow goes to non-duality.

It is impossible to leave oneness since it is formless, thus endless. Yet, it seems possible to imagine not being there but in a world where there seems to be more than one. In that context, the empty breath is a life jacket you got from oneness when you left it to be and have more than one.

The empty breath loves you unconditionally. Thus it is not bothered by what and where you believe to be. Actually, it does not even know this fantasy of being someone definitive. It can only be shared by those who want that. But the empty breath has no way of being or seeing something because it is nothing, thus seeing nothing.

That is why every experience of something is perceived as nothing being connected with the empty breath. Of course, this does not mean that you do not do anything about a broken leg, for example. But since it is seen as nothing, you do not add worries to your broken leg. Therefore, since changing or transforming something or somebody does not seem appealing, you have a laid-back life with the empty breath.

Taking deep breaths or, in any other way manipulating the breath is not beneficial for connecting with the empty breath because doing so enhances the belief in being in charge. The same applies to making yourself centred, balanced, focused or something else.

But the willingness not to hold back thoughts connects you with the empty breath because their uncontrolled energy ignites a take-off into it, whether you walk, sit, talk or whatnot. See Take-offs into the empty breath.

The more you limit yourself to being someone definitive, the more you feel like collapsing. To prevent that, you improve your definition until you feel so constrained that you burst into anger or stop giving a shit about holding yourself together. Thus the uncontrolled energy of the suppressed thoughts and feelings ignites a take-off into the empty breath. However, it does not help you escape your cage but the belief that you are in it.

When you do not define what is going on so you can remain in the fantasy of being someone unique, unconfined thoughts or feelings repeatedly shoot off to ignite a take-off into the empty breath.

What you see on the screen are zeros and ones stored on a hard disk simulated as something on the screen. Yet, it is not before the combination of zeros and ones on the hard disk is processed by an app into the world that appears to be on the screen that the nothingness of the hard disk is experienced as a world that you can change.

The empty breath, which in this context is unprocessed zeros and ones, does not know that you assign special meaning to the nothingness on the screen, which in this context is the world, so you appear to be someone experiencing something instead of nothing.

All the empty breath knows is that there is no more than the formlessness of oneness. Thus all that it wants is to breathe emptiness into what you believe to be and see so that it does not seem to hide, there never was or will be more than that which is One since it is formless, thus endless.

If the present stream of thoughts or feelings is not manipulated or suppressed, its natural energy ignites a take-off into the empty breath. You can make up stories of love or anything else in its presence without leaving the empty breath because it sees the world where you believe in being as a blank computer screen. So although the stories you fabricate seem to disclose something, the screen remains empty.

In other words, it does not matter how you perceive the experiences produced by the brain when you are with the empty breath. You do not need the happiness from being in sync with the brain. You are in the bliss of nothing until you define it as something.

If something seems to bother you, use the frustration to ignite a take-off into the empty breath so you can see that what you judge as something terrible is nothing. See Take-offs into the empty breath.

Since that which is One cannot be experienced, it is ignored by those who believe that something unexplainable is unreal. At best, it is imagined as a state of consciousness in which the self has been transcended into a higher one. However, oneness has nothing to do with being somewhere or conscious of something because that requires more than one. So does being someone. The empty breath is not about getting healthier, more money, success, love or anything else, but seeing what you appear to be and have is nothing. Hence there does not appear to be something hiding the formlessness of oneness.

As you probably have read many times in Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings, it requires more than one to experience something. Therefore, since oneness is formless, thus endless, every experience is fictional. That also includes the experience of the empty breath. It is as unreal as any other experience.

Yet this experience, which is deeply rooted in an archetypical image of a never-ending rhythmic flow, slowly but surely undoes the belief that it is possible to be and have more than that which is One. Furthermore, it makes it seems unproblematic to have this belief. Not in the sense that you are not troubled by anything but indifferent to it.

If this feels confusing, do not try to figure it out. But go with the chaos flow until you cannot make ends meet and feel as if you are about to explode, which in a sense also happens when the build-up tensions ignite a take-off into the empty breath. It results in a state of not-knowing, so you are not bound up with the belief in being someone definitive until you leave this state and return to that belief.

Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings gladly proclaim they are nothing. So when connecting with the empty breath, there is nothing to perceive the present moment as something. Though the empty breath has no need to be remembered by you, it is beneficial to remember it now and then. It makes you feel better believing in being someone definitive until the empty breath undoes this belief.

The changeover to a state of not-knowing may seem unpleasant. That is because the brain tries to distract you from leaving its definable world by producing very tangible and disturbing experiences, making you feel attacked as someone definitive. See also Stories about inclusion.

Following the empty breath, you automatically multitask because it does not know the concept of focusing on something specific. So when you do not feel the empty breath, multitasking makes you feel it.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Entering a state of not-knowing (see A state of not-knowing, how to get there) only takes a second. It happens automatically when you have lost all hope of fixing your problems because that makes the uncontrolled energy of your worries ignite a take-off into the empty breath. When you leave a state of not-knowing, the slate has been wiped clean (see The after-effect of a state of not-knowing). Therefore, since you perceive everything as ‘it is what it is‘ (see hack #4.2 The brain’s script and how to perceive it to feel happy), you have nothing to hope for. Thus, you are free.

The indifference of ‘the empty breath’

But this is not the purpose of the empty breath. On the contrary, its purpose is to undo the belief that you are someone. It does this by helping you see that the apparent difference between appearances does not make a difference. Thus there is no separation to establish you as someone. When people tell you to slow down and relax via mindfulness, for example, they sabotage the fastest way to take it easy, which is not to prevent thoughts and feelings from setting off in all directions, so their unbound energy ignites a take-off into the empty breath (read more about that here). It synchronises the low-frequency world of the outward-facing senses with the high-frequency world of the inward-facing senses. Thus speedy thoughts and feelings are not felt to cause stress but tranquillity.

Unfortunately, you may feel so angry about somebody that you want to remain upset because if not, you lose the drive needed to punish. Therefore, you go berserk at somebody. However, you first and foremost punish yourself because what we give is what we receive.

That continues until you do not project your feelings onto others but keep them in yourself so they can build up the energy to ignite a take-off into the empty breath.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The connectedness with the empty breath – either via surfing its yin-yang-like waves, being in its transparent sound, the swing of it, or the non-rhythmic energy behind the rhythm of it (read more about these ways here) – is not a feeling that can be fabricated like, for example, a romantic evening generated by candles, unique clothes, music and red wine. On the contrary, it is felt when instead of busy trying to produce a specific feeling, the frenetic energy is used to ignite a take-off into the empty breath.

Not feeling the empty breath can be because you focus on getting an extraordinary experience. By doing that, you ask the brain to make a definitive experience, and since the feeling of the empty breath is not non-definable, you miss it.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The less you believe in being substantial, the more you feel the non-rhythmic transparent energy of the empty breath.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The swing of the inner breath may be experienced abruptly – like in this animation but probably a lot slower – in a s body with muscles problems from for example psoas or diafragma. There is no reason though trying to make it swing more smoothly by improving the condition of the body. The inner breath always adjust itself to the current condition of the body, so no matter how it moves it results in the same joy, providing you are not looking to be perfect.In a sick body, the swing of the empty breath might be experienced to come in bursts – a bit like in this animation but probably slower. However, no matter how restricted the swing of it is experienced, connecting with it will always entail indifference. Therefore, sticking to that, how the empty breath is experienced makes no difference..

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Being connected with the empty breath, you may experience that it imprisons you, but that is a projection based on your feeling of confinement.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Nothing can restrict the empty breath because it has no need to be something definitive, thus not something to be free from. But you have because you are dependent on continually being acknowledged as someone definitive by somebody perceived to be outside of you in a physical, astral or online world. The feeling of imprisonment that this entails makes you want to break out.

However, going with the flow of the empty breath – no matter how it is experienced – you go with its indifference. Hence the apparent difference between feeling free or imprisoned is not perceived to make a difference.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

There are several established ways of feeling somebody else when you believe to be someone substantial in a tangible world. But there are no ways to feel the empty breath other than momentarily to stop believing you are definitive.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

When you are connected with a Fitbit watch, for example, it is not from the connection itself you get a fantastic feeling but from the data it gives you.

Likewise, you may not feel excited about the connection with the empty breath because its radiance of indifference makes you indifferent to the apparent differences you experience. But since this exposes them as nothing, you are in the bliss of emptiness.

Please do not take the comparison of the inner breath to an yin yang sign too literally. Since the empty breath has no personality, it has no expression of its own. So if its rhythmic flow is experienced to be weaker when you appear sick or about to die, it is because its rhythm constantly adjusts to what you believe in being. Yet the operator of the empty breath (see the paragraph of the same name in the article What does the empty breath feel like?), which is the non-rhythmic energy behind the rhythm of the empty breath, remains the same and is also experienced like that when you are in touch with it.

In other words, if the transparent non-rhythmic energy of the empty breath is only partially experienced when the body seems to be out of order, the problem is not the empty breath but that you do not want to experience it fully when your body seems problematic because that would render it unimportant, and therefore question your belief in residing there.

That does not mean you should not take care of the body and have it checked by a qualified healthcare professional once in a while. You also bring your car to a garage for a check-up, even though it is not you.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Should the body seems to get better when you are connected with the empty breath, it is not due to the connection – at least not directly – because the empty breath does not know of something that needs improvement. Indirectly though, it is due to the empty breath. In its presence, you forget to manipulate your body with non-physical concepts like mindfulness. Thus the body is free to heal itself. If you do not fend off the empty breath with a positive perception of yourself achieved by excluding everything judged as unfavourable, what you feel will be interpreted by the empty breath. Thus you are indifferent to feeling happy or sad. Not in the sense that happiness and sadness are the same but that the apparent difference makes no difference.

Even though the empty breath, theoretically speaking, should produce a constant rhythm of expansion and contraction in the body, your experience of it may not be that it is consistent. And you are right. It does not care about consistency – only those who insist on being definitive need coherence.

The empty breath can be compared to the cats in Alexius’ home. They go around as it pleases them. Yet he always counts on them to greet him when he gives a call. Likewise, he always feels the empty breath in one way or another. For example, maybe he surfs a single wave in one of the circles inside the empty breath several times in a row, whereafter he feels the swing of it inside his head, and then he surfs both of the yin-yang-looking waves in one of the other circles of the empty breath. After igniting a take-off into the empty breath, he mostly lands in its speedy and chaotic flow at its root, which feels like freedom compared to the rigid world of the outward-facing senses. Going to bed, the transparency of its sound often comes to him. But first of all, he feels the indifference of the empty breath. However, since the apparent differences in the world do not appear to make a difference, it is hardly a feeling.

Doing Nordic Walking, or rather going with its flow, can be beneficial for you regarding not trying to initiate something yourself. It may also help you expose the defence mechanisms you have built up in the body against going with the flow of the empty breath.

That is not to say that all these defence mechanisms must end to feel the empty breath. The willingness not to be somebody is sufficient. The nature of the empty breath is not to provide happiness but indifference, and since that releases you from the suffering induced by separation, it may feel as if you are in a merry-go-round world.

However, feelings never last, so if you hang onto pleasure instead of being indifferent to what you feel, your merry-go-round world will be replaced by a world of sadness. That is only so because you mistook the empty breath for the giver of pleasure instead of indifference. But if you stick with the latter, it makes no difference if you feel happy or sad, thus in the bliss of nothing.

Feeling the empty breath is like receiving a new gift every moment. However, there is no way to know what it is before getting it, and neither do you need to know because the empty breath brings you into a state of not-knowing.

Not being aware of something, there is nothing to make perfect. Consequently, you are not numbed in an experience of yourself as someone definitive but, instead, in the bliss of nothing.

4.3 The psychological and physical sphere does not mix

In most cases, you do not have to read Alexius’ Duality Hacks in a particular order. But in the case of this article, you may benefit from reading hack #4.2 The brain’s script and how to perceive it to feel happy.

In a world of duality, everything comes in pairs, where the opposing elements depend on each other. For example, you cannot breathe out without breathing in and vice versa. Although it is unrealistic to mix the elements in a duality pair, it is common to believe that you can integrate physical and non-physical issues. However, it is like trying to blend breathing in and out. You fuck up duality.

That said, since non-duality is formless, thus endless, duality is a fantasy. Hence everything in a world of duality, regardless of appearing physical or not, is as airy as a dream. In other words, it is only within the context of duality that something seems substantial or unsubstantial. And since you assume to be someone reading this on tangible media, you believe to be in a world of duality.

You cannot undo that belief if you do not acknowledge it by living it. Hence it is best not to separate or combine the opposing elements in a duality pair but respect their interdependency. However, it is a common belief that physical and non-physical issues can be connected, so this hack explores how to correct that mistake.

When you denigrate others to make yourself feel good, you live in constant fear of retaliation. Hence you turn the body into a weapon of defence or attack by respectively keeping your shoulders deadlocked in a backwards or forward position.

That makes the muscles inflexible, wherefore they, eventually, start to ache. The solution to your attack on the body is to acknowledge, you have chosen hurt it. By doing that, the body is not to blame. Thus it relaxes.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL PROBLEMS MUST BE HEALED WHERE THEY ORIGINATE:
In the mental sphere, you perceive yourself as someone in a body defined by time and space. But since that which is you is formless, thus without beginning and end, it is painful to be reduced to someone limited by time and space.

Nevertheless, it is a pain that makes you feel like someone in a material world. When you pinch yourself to determine whether you are dreaming, the experience of pain makes you decide that you are a substantial being in a tangible world.

Since your existence is bracketed with pain, you need to suffer to feel alive. And since being someone in a world defined by time and space is based on separating yourself from the formlessness of oneness, disassociating is also what you resort to in making the pain bearable. Thus you hide the worst part of your psychological distress from your awareness by projecting it onto the body.

Somehow you sense the physical discomfort experienced in the body comes from somewhere else. But instead of acknowledging that you projected psychological problems onto the body, you choose to blame the world for your discomfort. Then, to deal with its expected counterattack, you turn the body into a weapon of defence or attack against the world by keeping the shoulders pushed forward into a defensive position or pushed back into a place of constant readiness to attack.

That makes you feel safer and as if you are in control. Especially if you push one of the shoulders upwards to constrict that area further. It prevents the signals in the body from passing through the shoulders to the brain. Maybe the signals are not totally stopped but ever so slightly is enough for you to believe the brain is defeated, so you can take over as the boss and mentally decide what goes on in the body. Since this distance you from what you feel in the body, it seems less frightening than when the brain deals with the body’s feelings.

Women tend to allow the body’s emotions to flow to the brain. But they prevent the expression of feelings processed by the brain by replacing them with a mental story in which a woman is the expert of emotions, both her own and others. Her made-up insight she uses to manipulate others into acknowledging her as a unique and caring person.

Generally, men also want to be acknowledged as unique. So they prevent the body’s emotions from reaching the brain. Thus they can make up a story where men, like heroes, do the right thing regardless of feelings. Unfortunately, this way of hiding their feelings stiffens the left side of the body, whereas the woman’s approach hardens the right side. There are many opinions about how to restore the body. But since the disruption is caused by the idea that you master the body, the problem is in the mental sphere, where you feel inferior.

The brain loves when its experiences make you believe you are something, so you do not discover what you experience is fantasy it has made from nothing.

However, that is a misunderstanding based on the perception that you are definitive and not dual. Fortunately, it is easily corrected. Suppose your definite response to something is perceived as ‘it is what it is.’ That reveals everything in a world of duality, so to feel abandoned, for example, is complemented by feeling supported. Since twofoldness makes you feel together, you do not doubt you are good enough as you are.

Ultimately, you are not dual, nor anything else, because reality is non-dual and it takes more than one to be something. But like you adjust to the concept of a computer game, you adjust to twofoldness when playing the game of duality.

Therefore, since you do not interfere with the body to make you look more perfect, its feelings flow freely to the brain, which has the body’s blueprint, thus knowing how to restore the body.

THE FUSION OF MATERIAL AND IMMATERIAL ISSUES IS MAKE-BELIEVE:
To disassociate yourself from anger, you exclude the feeling from your awareness by dumping it in the body’s darkness. At least, this is how a psychologist explains it. But immaterial issues cannot be hidden in something material – like you cannot hide the wind inside a wall. So what actually happens is that you imagine combining psychological pain with an existing physical pain in the back, for example.

When you once have concluded your anxiety is caused by physical pain, you by reflex look for the same connection every time you are worried. Hence you automatically search the body for a flaw that can explain you feel worried. That is until you do not try to explain it away, but perceive it as ‘it is what it is.’

That reveals your anxiety is in constant interaction with pleasure to define each other. Therefore, since feeling worried includes being delighted and vice versa, there is no need to get rid of of your worries to feel good. On the contrary, you need them to feel geniuly delighted.

Therefore, since the psychological problem is sensed to be the same as the discomfort from the physical issue in the back, you believe the psychological pain is gone. That is why you, after having tried this method once, automatically combine an immaterial problem with a material one to make it go away.

But as already said, a psychological issue cannot be combined with a physical one. Consequently, its perceived result, namely a psychosomatic disorder, is impossible to heal unless seen as two problems: A psychological one that feels like anxiety for something diffused. And a physical problem that is experienced as more straightforward and matter-of-fact.

Best not to try to analyse or understand those two feelings. Instead, experience your emotional issue unedited and then perceive your reaction to it asit is what it is.’ Since that takes the edge of it, you do not need to get rid of your psychological problem by combining it with the experience of a physical one. Therefore, since the body does not feel invaded by a non-physical issue, it does not need to defend itself by attacking this and that. Instead, it uses its energy to fix physical problems.

Be aware, though, whether you project psychological issues on the body or not, it remains the same because non-material matters do not change the body – only the way you perceive it. Also, be aware that the purpose of Alexius’ Duality Hack is not to heal the body but the sick belief that someone is in it.

But even though Alexius’ Duality Hacks only heal the belief that you are someone in a body, having that belief undone ever so slightly, you do not want to interfere with the body’s ways. But you may wish to assist it. Notes on meditation, the basic and special self

Everything in a world of duality comes in pairs, where the opposing elements define each other. For example, small is defined by tall and vice versa. So if you hate big things and abandon them, you also exclude small ones. Since small things cannot be defined, they become a blurry concept. The brain’s function is to create entertaining experiences for the self that it has fabricated. Therefore, if they do not seem to please but frustrate the self, its consciousness most likely perceives them, so they comply with a conceptualised way of living, such as capitalism, socialism, spiritualism, or another ism meant to make the self feel more special.

But since this perception is founded on a particular belief system, it is restricted by its concepts. And since self-discipline does not make you delighted but angry, you do not get the peace the belief system promised. Primarily because the thoughts you have compiled into perception aligned with your preferred belief system do not like being manipulated. Hence, they move faster and faster to escape your domination.

No worries, if you do not try to stop this restless energy, it automatically ignites a take-off into the empty breath, where the slate is wiped clean. Therefore, since you only have perceptions in sync with the experiences the brain produces, you feel entertained by all of them. Fortunately, you do not have to uphold these perceptions yourself. Since the basic self is relative to the experiences created by the brain (read more about that here), it is not definitive. Hence the inexact flow of thoughts coming from the brain seems natural. But not to the special self because it wants to be definitive.

To distance itself from the brain, the special self composes a perception in which the basic self has been transformed into someone definitive independent of the brain. However, this twisted perception calls for more thoughts than those few the brain has available to make a perception aligned with the basic self. Thus, the special self meditates to generate more thoughts.

Those who perceive themselves as unique beings with the power to do things in their way and pace need many thoughts to uphold their crooked perception. However, the movement of so many thoughts soon becomes so hectic that they try to slow them down via meditation.

That is the official reason. But as anybody who has meditated knows, thoughts multiply when trying to control them. And that is the real reason for meditating because many thoughts are needed to construct a unique spiritual appearance.

 ∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The basic self does not feel disturbed by the flow of thoughts from the brain. On the contrary, it loves this quiet flow because it makes it easy to serve the brain in a laid-back way. However, the special self does not want to serve but to master the brain. Thus it feels disturbed by its thoughts, although, if not interfering, there are only a few.

The frantic flow of thoughts, the special self experiences, has been generated by itself. It has multiplied the simple flow the brain develops to maintain a basic itself into a large group of thoughts from which it can compose a perception of itself as an independent being. Read more about that here. Then, when it needs a break from the multitudes of thoughts, it looks for something numbing like alcohol, drugs or a mantra.

But when it manages to escape the thoughts, it feels horrified because, without all the special thoughts it has generated, the idea of being in control falls apart. Hence there is no self-deception to hide that it depends on the brain. Acknowledging that, it feels embraced by the gentle flow of thoughts from the brain.

Most like to believe they feel upset because of the thoughts coming from the brain. However, the distress comes from the attempt to edit them. When a single thought is sought out from the stream of thoughts, it generates a new stream, and if a specific thought is singled out from that, yet another stream is made, and so on – just like if you split a neutron from an atom nucleus, it sends out more neutrons all by itself, that split and sends out more neutrons. It is a chain reaction.

The special self likes to believe that visualising something will make it happen because that seems to confirm it is in control. But if that were true, everybody would win the lottery.

To think you are in control is like believing you control the TV with the remote. Somebody else has made what you see, and the only thing you can change is your perception of it. That is also how the basic self has been transformed into a special self, namely by perceiving the basic self so that it seems to be an independent being in charge of its own life.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The special self needs constant approval from others to feel alive. To get that, it often establishes a family, which it can manipulate into giving it the confirmation it needs. If that does not work as intended, the special self may pay a psychologist to ratify its uniqueness. But it does not realise how dependent it is on those supporting its perception of being independent.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

When the brain scripts you to feel sexual lust, you will feel horny no matter what you believe in being. However, you will not enjoy it if you try to suppress your sex drive through meditation or tantra sex. Read more about sex here.

If you perceive yourself as detached from the experiences of the brain, you fool yourself because you need them to prove this.

When you try to solve absent-mindedness through mindfulness meditation or grounding exercises, you make it worse because you do not know who you are. Only your maker knows that. And since it is the brain, the solution, in the context of believing to be someone, is to be aligned with the stream of thoughts coming from the brain instead of using meditation to distance yourself from it.

Mindfulness is for those who cannot help exploiting others – just like in ancient times, monks introduced meditation to the barbarians seeking shelter in Ashrams to teach them to control themselves, thus refraining from abusing others.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The basic self has no need to relax or transform itself through meditation, yoga, fitness and whatnot. On the contrary, as its perception is in sync with the stream of thoughts coming from the brain, it is like a stream of happiness. Therefore, since it regularly forgets to remember being someone, it knows there is nothing to transform.

On the other hand, the special self never forgets to remember being somebody. It is always on a mission to become more and be part of something greater. But since that never turns out as expected, it settles for following someone that seems to improve its social status.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

If you need to relax, you are trying to be someone definitive. Because to achieve that, you have excluded the thoughts you find upsetting from the stream of thoughts coming from the brain. Since that does not result in peace but fear of the repressed, you look for something that makes you relax. However, not trying to edit the ever-changing flow of thoughts but perceiving it as ‘it is what it is,’ you are not someone definitive but relative to the present experience produced by the brain. Therefore, since hating what you dislike feels just as exciting as loving what you like, there is no need to relax.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The special self always looks for something to fix. But it rejects the solution that would fix everything immediately, namely not perceiving the brain as an enemy but as a friend (read more about that here). By doing that, everybody becomes a friend because the brain produces the experience of others.

Ultimately, the solution is to undo the belief in being someone who experiences something. As this is the end of being someone, the special self avoids it by meditating or something else that seems to confirm it exists.

The many doctrines of the world easily manipulate those who believe they have free will to become spiritual, socialistic, capitalistic or something else they think will make them independent of the brain.

However, you cannot avoid the brain’s commands – just like a car is in the hands of the driver, you are in the hands of the brain.

So even though the special self perceives the ride per the particular doctrine, it follows nothing changes other than how the special self sees it.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

If you perceive the brain’s basic rendering of you in a capsule of time and space as a bit boring, the special self sets in by offering you more exotic ways of perceiving it, for example, by coming from the heart (read more about that here), or living in the now.

But since all experiences – no matter where you believe they come from or how they seem to be experienced – are constructions of thoughts fabricated by the brain (read more about that here), these special perceptions are nothing but a reconstruction of the thoughts made by the brain.

However, they do not work because they are exclusive and not inclusive. Any experience the brain creates consists of all thoughts popping up at that moment, including about the past and the future. When in sync with the whole bunch, every moment feels perfect.

But this is not how it feels if you eliminate some of those thoughts to adjust to concepts like coming from the heart or living in the now. That makes you feel imperfect.

Like the night excludes the day and vice versa, spirituality excludes consciousness and vice versa.

It feels like you are someone in a computer game just because it seems to make you feel something. But this feeling is based on your interpretation of computer-generated events. Therefore, what you feel is made by you. The same applies to what you feel in the world where you believe to read this. It is founded on your interpretation of the experiences produced by the brain. Consequently, it is you who choose what to feel.

It is also you who interpret experiences as there is a god, higher consciousness, or whatnot. But there are no experiences. That requires more than one, and there is no more than that which is One since it is formless, thus endless.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

When you meditate to exclude something, you establish it as real, otherwise, there is no reason to get rid of it. But anything you are aware of is unreal because it takes more than one to be aware of something, and there is no more than that which is one. Fortunately, you eventually forget what and where you appear to be when applying one or more of Alexius’ Duality Hacks, except for the Enlightenment of that which is One, where it occurs immediately. Hence, there is nobody to be conscious of something.

The special self wants to make selected ones feel unique, so they depend on it to be appreciated.

The special self is always looking for errors in its personality to correct them, thus appearing in control. But the basic self does not consider itself in charge of anything. Instead, it sees itself as a servant of everything because it adjusts to the flow of thoughts coming from the brain, which does not know about personal preferences but what is in the best interest of the whole.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Thinking you are in control, you are under enormous pressure. You must always look for thoughts that can be used to compose a perception of your experiences to prove that you, not the brain, are in control.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

You hit the buttons on the remote control to get specific channels on the TV. It is not difficult, so it does not establish you as essential. But if you imagine you are the master of buttons, you appear more important, although what is in the movie you may get is beyond your influence.

As you can see, being the special self is not about what you do but the thoughts concerning it. Especially thoughts in the category of master and servant – like when you think you master the remote control, your coffee machine, children or pets. Or if you have a boss that puts you down, but you still seem to be on top of it by thinking, you could do it much better.

The special self always finds something about others that it judges as wrong. Hence they become the imperfect background for its perfection.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

When the special self perceives to fail, it takes on being secondary. Thus the failure does not seem to have been caused by itself but by somebody else.

When a ball is coming your way, it´s a natural reflex to respond and following such reflexes is pure fun.

Sometimes a doctor may check the function of a body by knocking on special points to see if the involuntary movements work. But everything you think that you do voluntarily is automatic. If you believe in being in control, you have worked hard to perceive the body’s activity as generated by you.

To fabricate this perception, you suppress your reaction to the reflexes that do not fit into your idea of calling the shots. Thus you become a person who seems to do everything by your own choice. And others appear to be doing things against or for you by their choice. However, keeping up this impression is hard because you always have to hide that the brain administers everything you do.

Therefore, not hiding that but gladly serving the brain, you are following your nature, thus feeling free.

The basic self’s perception is in sync with the stream of thoughts coming from the brain. Therefore, since feeling the flow of happiness, it does not need to be or achieve something special to feel good. But the special self is out of sync with the flow, so it does not feel its happy vibe. Instead, it tries to create it by looking for special moments in the past to replicate in the present to feel special.

If the special self discovers that others have interpreted something it did as wrong, it avoids feeling guilty by shouting, »Look what you made me do.«

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The experiences the brain produces to make you feel like someone can, in many ways, be compared to the news that Facebook generates for you. Based on the info Facebook has gathered about you, it collects what its artificial intelligence predicts you wish to see, regardless it is fake or not. However, unlike Facebook, the brain has all your info, so the experiences you get from it are based on you. Thus what you experience is what you are. That cannot be altered – only your perception of it.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

A world defined by time and space is a construction of thoughts compiled by the brain. But since it cannot manifest its fabrication, it has made a self that feels the experiences it produces, so it seems to confirm a world defined by time and space is real, which in return seems to prove the self is a substantial being in a tangible world. In other words, what and where you believe in being is a brain fantasy. Consequently, there is nothing real to confirm the brain’s existence, wherefore nothing is making the fantasy of you as someone in a world defined by time and space – just like nobody is making a dream and nobody is in it.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The special self avoids being part of the whole. Instead, it concentrates on those elements which it can manipulate into admiring it for being unique. Those the special self cannot control, it claims, are dominating. It does all that to escape its self-hatred. When not succeeding, the special self considers letting go of something because that reestablishes it as in control of itself.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Again and again, the special self likes to show off as if it has invaluable insights from extraordinary experiences that can help others get better. However, it is as impossible as helping someone in a dream. Therefore, the special self pieces together an interpretation of its interaction with others that, in retrospect, establishes itself as someone who has helped them get better.

Though it may not succeed in manipulating others into believing this, it often succeeds in convincing at least one person by making that person feel so wanted and loved that it thinks it cannot live without the one making it feel that.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The special self needs to be part of something important, not to feel alone. Thus it checks all notifications on Facebook and makes sure to like what its friends write so that it will like it and be liked by them, and they all are confirmed to be together in a group of extraordinary people. That is, if you believe there is something in cyberspace.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

You cannot escape the hell of the self-discipline required to uphold the perception of being special if you are afraid of losing something. And this you are, as long as you believe to be and have something special.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

If somebody triggers an old feeling of rejection in the special self, it first interprets it as an attack. Next, it justifies feeling rejected by the attack. Therefore, since the feeling seems to originate in the attacker, the special self concludes the feeling does not come from itself. If the perceived attacker exposes this self-deception, the special self points out something from the past to make the attacker feel guilty. Thus the special self is off the hook and can rest assured that it is loved and the attacker is not.

If you justify your unpleasant emotions with something judged as flawed in the world, those feelings are buried in a mental drama of fairness. For example, when you feel angry, it is obscured by the sad story you keep telling about the world to establish you are unfairly treated by it. Hence feeling angry has been removed from your awareness and replaced by a mental concept of being mistreated. This spin also hides, you fear the world will get back at you for blaming it for your negative emotions.

However, this is too shameful to admit. So to save face when you feel attacked by the world, you repeat the story of being unfairly treated to prove you are innocent. But to uphold your innocence, you must continuously suppress feeling selfish, greed, anger and envy, which you do by changing the focus from yourself to others. You keep it at them by pointing out these attributes in them in a way you instinctively know they are ashamed of. You are very good at that, and your friends know it. Nevertheless, they do not expose you because they also look for someone to attack, so they feel off the hook. That is why they recognise it in you.

To hide that you and like-minded ones hate everybody, you meet in special groups where you hug and share in a collectively agreed way of being united. Yet, it is not feelings of love but the wish to hide they hate each other that connects them. Naturally, nobody wants to acknowledge this, least of all do they want to talk about it in the group because if you do not censor yourself to speak and act within the language of love established by the group, or its mentor, you are expelled. And then there is nowhere to go to find relief from your despair.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

You do not appear in a physical world to learn something. Everything you encounter is made from empty space. The only purpose of your experiences, including those interpreted as spiritual and as you as someone, is to feel entertained by nothing. Read more about that here.

It is the counterpart of a feeling that defines it. For example, hate defines love. Consequently, you must sense your hatred to feel love. But since the special self excludes the unpleasant part of a duality pair, it has no hatred to define feeling love. Therefore, since it does not know what love is, it reckons it feels love when it meets somebody whose psyche or body complies with its ideas of perfection.

Fortunately, this mistake is easily corrected by perceiving the perceived feeling of love as ‘it is what it is.’ That reveals love is coupled with hate and constantly interacting to define each other. Going with this twofoldness, you have a genuine feeling of love regardless of expectations being met.

Nobody is unjustly treated in the brain’s script. It is all about being entertained by duality, which you are when perceiving your reaction to your experiences as it is what it is’ because that reveals your response is twofold. And since you are in a world of duality, this makes you feel complete

Should you have conditioned yourself to feel relaxed when you hear a specific kind of music, you find yourself in a story where you know you are supposed to feel relaxed every time you hear this music. In other words, what you believe in feeling is a product of your story. And as most of what you believe in feeling rests on stories, you are hardly ever in touch with your emotions but with how you have conditioned yourself to respond to something. That suits the special self very well. It does not want to experience genuine feelings but how it is supposed to feel them when being what it imagines it is.

Even though waves have different lengths of life and may look like they differ, they all consist of water. Therefore, as they all contain the same, none of them has something that can make them more special than the others.

If you, in your part of the world, are supposed to feel disrespected when someone is more than 15 minutes late for a meeting, you can, in a rational way, prove to others that you are in the right when you claim to feel hurt. But since rationally explaining a feeling changes it into a mental concept, you do not feel hurt. Instead, you feel victorious because you convinced others you were right about being hurt.

However, the feeling of victory only lasts as long as others are willing to listen to your story of being unfairly treated. No worries. If you perceive the meaning you have assigned to your story as ‘it is what it is,’ nothing in it adds up to something specific. Hence the story cannot be used to justify being unfairly treated, thus not suppressing what you actually feel, which in the world of duality always is twofold. Therefore in sync with duality, you feel so fulfilled that you do not need the satisfaction of being in the right. Read more about made-up feelings here.

The stories you make to hide what you feel sooner or later clash with the actual experiences of the world where you seem to be. Thus you feel very confused.

In the past, the special self made a hateful story it uses for perceiving the present, so it seems to confirm its past judgment of others as evil. And since the past, therefore, appears to repeat itself, the special self can rest assured in its perception of itself as good and others as bad.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The English language suits the special self because it is built upon the ‘I’ as primary and others as secondary. You do not talk with others but to them. And when you speak about friends and yourself, you always start by mentioning yourself.

It takes so much time and effort to invent a special self from which selected experiences are eliminated or changed, so you appear to be absent of power strivings, selfishness, greed, anger, negative thoughts or whatever you assume to be politically incorrect. It feels restricting, whereas you feel free when not altering or rejecting something in your perception to shape your image into something special.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Since everything in a world of duality comes in pairs and the special self excludes the apparently dark side of those in its perception of itself to appear as someone definitive, the power of duality is not expressed but suppressed. And even though the special self never feels it has enough energy, it does not correct its perception. It fears it will be devoured by the darkness it has excluded if it includes it.

It is right about being terminated. But only as someone definitive and not in the way it expects. The uncontrolled energy of suppressed feelings ignites a take-off into the empty breath.* In this state of not-knowing,* there is no awareness of being somebody. Hence all that is left is the bliss of nothing from which the self returns to a world of duality with the slate wiped clean. Therefore, since darkness and lightness are perceived as two sides of the same coin that interacts to define each other, it gets the power of the duality flow. A state of not-knowing* does not reveal non-duality, but that a world of duality is nothing. The result of this revelation is not that you choose to return to non-duality because that requires more than one. Instead, you return to the consciousness of being someone in a world of duality as a basic self.

Being basic, you sooner or later feel so relaxed that you forget to choose, and since not-choosing does not require more than one, the enlightenment of that which is One is bid welcome. See hack #6.1 The Enlightenment of that which is One.

The basic self cannot be changed, but it can be perceived as special

THE BASIC AND SPECIAL SELF PLUS THE ROGUE CONSCIOUSNESS:
You are effortlessly synced with the basic self when not suppressing feelings by holding back the breath or altering its natural rhythm via yoga, for example. And since very few thoughts are required to maintain the synchronisation, they do not seem disturbing but encouraging.

That is, until the consciousness, the brain has installed in the basic self to be aware of itself, decides it knows better than its maker, and plots to change the basic self into a special one. However, shaping and maintaining a special self requires a more complicated construction of thoughts than the simple construction accumulated by the brain to create and uphold the basic self.

Therefore, the rogue consciousness perceives an experience so scary that fear makes you hold back your breath long enough for thoughts to be imprisoned in the gap, from where they force their way out by multiplying themselves. Then, having escaped, they continue their frantic multiplication, which pleases the rogue consciousness because it needs lots of thoughts to make a special self come into being, supposedly free from the brain.

But in a world of duality, all thoughts come in pairs of opposing elements, such as right and wrong, to define each other. Therefore, since you cannot have one without the other, you are never only right but also wrong. However, the rogue consciousness does not want the elements in the duality pairs to collaborate because it wants to set up a self which is excluded from evil, thus only good.

To disconnect the opposing sides in the duality pairs into distinct elements, the rogue consciousness first imagines a judge determining which emotions are specifically good and bad. Then, an executioner punishes the bad ones by excluding them from the new self, so it looks uniquely good and has that feeling of being special. When not interfering with the few thoughts, the brain keeps circulating for you to have a continuous experience of being a basic self, you feel together. But you feel alienated if you add thoughts to the construction of the basic self to appear more special. It is like building castles in the sky because you cannot change how the brain has programmed you. But when good and bad are separated, they cannot define each other, as they do in a duality pair. Thus you do not get a genuine but conceptualised experience of good and bad. Nevertheless, that suits the rogue consciousness fine because, with emotions cut off, the special self can mentally decide what good and bad feel like, thus being the master

However, it is hard work to constantly suppress genuine feelings preventing you from using good and bad in a thought-up way – or twisting experiences into a collectively agreed concept of having a good time. Besides, the suppressed emotions mess up the natural flow of the breath, thus the stream of thoughts used to keep the body healthy, wherefore the body seems inflicted with psychosomatic illnesses. So although the special self probably appears as good as planned, it does not genuinely feel good.

On the other hand, the basic self feels as good as bad because it follows the brain’s script of duality, where everything comes in pairs with the opposing elements interacting with each other. Of course, this does not necessarily mean that the basic self has a perfect body, but its problems are not approached as psychological but physical issues. Thus the body knows how to deal with them unless the problems are genetically related.

Fortunately, the happiness of the basic self does not depend on appearance. Sometimes a weak body may even be helpful. For example, Alexius’s poor condition helps him slow down physically and speed up writing Alexius’ Duality Hacks.

In a world where there seems to be more than one, you must always choose something to uphold the illusion of separation. Therefore, not choosing anything, the illusion falls apart. THE WORLD IS A CONSTRUCTION OF FRAGMENTED THOUGHTS
You can compare the formlessness of oneness to one thought, which is pure peace. But peace is over when that thought is divided into two because they need to differ to appear divided. To achieve this separation, one thought as a separate entity, called a Person, looks at another thought called the World. And to uphold the illusion that there is more than one, the division goes on.

The thought called the World is divided into black-and-white aspects. And the thought called a Person is also divided into two, namely a Judge and an Executioner. Thus we have a Person who chooses between black and white experiences. And then a Judge who divides thoughts into right and wrong so the black experiences can be punished for being wrong by the Executioner.

When that is carried out, the Person feels good because now it is off the hook. Someone else is guilty of the mess that separation seems to entail. Read more about projections here. However, since this arrangement sets other divisions in motion, the relief is short-lived. So, again and again, the interaction of Person, WorldJudge and Executioner is used to make someone else look bad and yourself good.

Although this happens as an inner dialogue inside a Person, it is often projected onto something perceived outside of it. For example, what feels wrong inside the World of a Person is projected onto something perceived as evil in the World outside of a Person, such as immigrants, the deep state or communists. The Judge may be projected on a god, parent, boss, or lover. And perhaps society is seen as the Executioner.

That said, the world where we appear to be is not a construction of thoughts or anything else because oneness is formless, thus endless, so there is nothing else than that which is One. However, in the context of the belief that there is more than that, Alexius makes up stories he assumes help realise that they, as everything else experienced, are fictitious because it takes more than one to be aware of something.

BEING IN SYNC WITH DUALITY OR NOT:
What you believe in being is a construction of thoughts compiled by the brain into pairs of contrasting elements, such as happiness and sadness, to define each other. When in sync with the ongoing interaction of opposites, you do not want to separate happiness from sadness because the interaction makes you feel complete.

But you are not in sync with duality if negative thoughts are judged as wrong, thus excluded from the perception of yourself to appear solely positive. Without the awareness of negativity in yourself, there is nothing to define your positivity. Hence, nothing will turn you on – like you cannot turn on a TV without the negative pole in the electrical wire.

Being out of sync with duality occurs when the consciousness that the brain has installed in the self goes rogue and makes a special perception of the present moment where the elements in the duality pairs do not collaborate to define each other. Instead, they separate into individual aspects, so you can decide to only feel love for someone and hate for another, for example.

However, since love is not defined by hatred anymore, you do not feel genuine love but a speculative version of it. The same applies to hate. And since you believe your single-minded notions are real, you clash with the world because it consists of duality pairs. You can correct that by going with the interaction of love and hate. This you do by perceiving your single-minded notion of either love or hate as ‘it is what it is’ because this reveals love is in hate and vice versa. But instead of accepting that, you probably accuse the brain of ruining love. But you are a product of the brain (read more about that here), so your disapproval is a condemnation of yourself.

When the brain wants you to run, it uses the biological system to signal the body. It starts running regardless you are a basic or special self. The basic self, as always, feels entertained by following the brain’s commands. But the special self loathes the brain and its simple ideas of entertainment and thinks it knows better. TEMPTED TO BECOME SPECIAL:
When the consciousness of the basic self goes rogue, it responds like a spell checker to the calm stream of thoughts coming from the brain. It automatically interprets it so the self, which initially was made and administered by the brain, seems self-made, thus independent of the brain.

But since the rogue consciousness interpretations are single-minded, thus out of sync with duality, thoughts do not feel at home. Therefore, they multiply and move about so rapidly that the calm stream of thoughts from the brain becomes a wild one full of ideas for getting more.

At first, this turbulence seems scary to the basic self, but the rogue consciousness convinces it that it is for the best because now there are so many thoughts that you have endless possibilities. Besides, when you become special, you are in control so that you can arrange everything your way.

Therefore, most persons gladly welcome the corrections the rogue consciousness does to transform them into a unique self with unlimited ways of realising themselves, contrary to the basic self, limited by the brain, that it blindly follows.

But the rogue consciousness did not tell you that you must spend many years in school learning to make order out of this mess by labelling everything so you can follow predefined ways of being unique.

In other words, appearing independent and special is complicated and exhausting, whereas not being someone specific but relative to the brain’s script is uncomplicated and vitalising. Therefore, if you want to have a good time while appearing as someone in a world of duality, use one or more of Alexius’ Duality Hacks to enter a state of not-knowing. It wipes the slate clean of all misperceptions, thus restoring the basic self. Since it is relative to the brain, it is in sync with its experiences as they are and not as they could be if you were a special self following a specific philosophy

Therefore, as the basic self, you have fun going with the duality flow, contrary to the special self, which is imprisoned by specific concepts of being positive or whatnot. Read more about that here. That said, once having been established as a special self, you probably keep going back and forth between that and the basic self until you do not need to feel something specific to feel happy because that is impossible as the basic self. It only knows the fullness of twofoldness.

Should you not want to play the game of duality, thus having the belief in it undone, it is not necessary to be the basic self. Still, it is much easier because, not being special, suddenly you forget to remember what and where you are, which is the invitation the Enlightenment of that which is One waits for. PS: Since you are bound to follow the brain’s commands physically, your life progresses the same whether you are the basic or special self. It is only mentally that it seems different.

The Enlightenment of that which is One does not result in spiritual understanding or connection with a higher being. On the contrary, it results in nothing because it takes more than one to cause something.

Since it also takes more than one to return to that which is One, it is impossible. However, since the same applies to departing oneness, you have never left it. That is why it does not know that you believe to be someone in a world where there seems to be more than one.

Most books or lectures about the Enlightenment of that which is One are based on speculations of how to exclude what is judged as darkness to become full of light. But to exclude is to separate, thus an enhancement of the belief in being someone definitive – and nothing definable can enter the Enlightenment of that which is One.

The enlightenment of that which is one can be compared to taking a ride in a fairground carousel so fast, that the mind has to give up seeing any differences at all. The Enlightenment of that which is One undoes this belief. Metaphorically, it takes you on a ride in a fairground carousel, moving so fast that the brain gives up producing different images of the trip. Thus, eventually, everything is fused into one bright light. However, it is not a light that lightens up something because it requires more than one. For the same reason, being in the light, there is no memory of a world where there seems to be more than one.

In other words, the experience of being someone definitive is wiped out by the Enlightenment of that which is One, so there is nobody left to experience bliss or anything else. Therefore, when Alexius talks about the Enlightenment of that which is One, it is not based on the experience of it but on vague memories of something that cannot be experienced.

Reading his memories, you may get the impression that the Enlightenment of that which is One is a sequence of events happening in linear time. But everything ‘happens ‘simultaneously. However, that cannot be described in a world of linear time. And even though it is told as it ‘happened’ many years ago, in non-linear time, it is still ‘happening.’ Hence his description might be a mix of several ‘excursions’ from linear time into one perpetual present.

The enlightenment of that which is One is to be compared to the fusion of all lights, or sounds, or emotions, or tastes – depending on our preference as someone definitive in a world where there seems to be more than one.

None of these fusions are the formlessness of that which is One. They are merely ways to attract you so you do not resist, when all the thoughts collected to fabricate your personality are extracted by the enlightenment of that which is One, so nothing definable is sucked through a black hole into the formlessness of oneness.

This article is about the first time the belief in being someone definitive momentarily was undone for Alexius. The enlightenment of that which is One was bid welcome in its most known aspect, namely light. Much later the other aspects – sound, emotion and taste – was also bid welcome. Not as a mix though but one by one. It is not possible to mix something in the enlightenment of that which is One, as that requires more than one.

Alexius assumes it is not necessary to bid welcome all the aspects, but that one of them is sufficient in regard to completely forget the imagination of a world where there seems to be more than one.

BIDDING WELCOME THE ENLIGHTENMENT OF THAT WHICH IS ONE
An early morning, when he was 22 years old, Alexius bid welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One after intensely having worked as a taxi driver for about 15 hours. Somehow the sum of the images from driving back and forth the streets continually looking for customers slowly turned into something less definable and more blurry. And when he came home, Alexius had no energy left to establish a focused image of himself in a world defined by time and space. Thus forgetting what and where he was, he was not aware of a transition to the spiralling show of psychedelic light that did not seem to come from anywhere and to suck him into nowhere.

Suddenly a black gap with no fixed location nor a fixed form, looking like a horse head or an embryo, popped out of the psychedelic light show. And then an utterly colourless light – brighter than the coloured light outside the black spot – started to form as a ring with no defined boundary inside the black gap’s edges, which apparently was a hole because colourless light exploded out of it.

This light absorbed everything. It was everywhere and yet nowhere. Without any mention, it knocked out the concept of Alexius and a world where there seems to be more than one, so the nothingness of him gracefully fell into the formlessness of oneness – or maybe it floated into oneness. Alexius cannot recall because the thought construction shaping him was left outside the black hole. Besides, everything happened simultaneously. Nevertheless, there is a sense of forever falling while swimming in a space that was not there – and then, in the exact moment of forever falling, it never happened because there was nothing but that which is One, and it takes more than one for something to happen.

That is all, folks. There is no more to tell. At this point, the Enlightenment of that which is One is over, and there is nothing that seems to hide the formlessness of oneness. It is not a big void of nothing filled with exotic ideas of unconditional love and whatnot. On the contrary, it is not big since it is formless, thus without size. Nor is it filled with anything since that requires more than one.

Hence oneness is neither peaceful nor stillness or anything else. Metaphorically, its speed is so fast that it is impossible to differentiate anything. That is why there is not something to see or anyone to realise it. Nor to hear the incredible noise of its speed. Especially because it is so loud that all sounds merge into one, like all lights into one light, all emotions into one feeling, and tastes into one taste.

The above is not to be understood as the Enlightenment of that which is One is a mix of light, sound, emotion and taste. They are four aspects of it. But you only welcome one at a time. It does not matter which one. They all have the same purpose. Namely to attract to the extent that you cannot help but let them extract all thoughts, making it appear as if you are someone definitive. And then leave them at the edge of a black hole so that there is nothing definable to be sucked through it into the formlessness of oneness.

The latter about leaving thoughts at the edge of a black hole may be a twisted memory. And it is, of course, a metaphor to say oneness is on the other side of a black hole because it is formless, thus without inside or outside.

Dunno if there is a spiral around the black hole of the enlightenment of that which is one, because being that close nothing seems to differ from each other. Yet for a moment so short, that it is not conceivable, a light inside the edge of the black hole so much brighter that the very bright light around it, suddenly explodes into a formless light that does not include Alexius but the formlessness of that which I am. Alexius seems to remember a spiral around a black hole in the Enlightenment of that which is One. However, he does not remember it exactly as in this image – maybe because everything was moving extremely fast or he was so close that nothing seemed to differ from each other. Yet for a moment, so short that not conceivable, white light inside the edge of the black hole – much brighter than the colourful light around it – exploded into a bright light that erased everything definable. Thus he cannot report what ‘happened’ after being sucked by formless light through a shapeless black hole into that which is One. Nor can he find an image on the web that can illustrate the vague memories of that. Fortunately, you can go there yourself – or rather stop establishing yourself as someone who is somewhere. THE ENLIGHTENMENT OF THAT WHICH IS ONE IS INEXPLAINABLE
When Alexius welcomed the Enlightenment of that which is One, he was not aware of doing that. Actually, he had never heard about it or a black hole. Fortunately, he did not define anything because otherwise, he would have bounced back to a world defined by time and space. Thus the description of falling nowhere through a black gap into that which is One is made retrospectively.

Actually, it was not before much later, when he saw pictures of black holes in the universe, that he sensed how familiar they were. However, calling a black hole a path into oneness is a metaphor because there is neither an entrance nor an exit to that which is one. In other words, describing the Enlightenment of that which is One is impossible because even though so much goes on, nothing definable happens because it is one perpetual present.

To bid welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One, you do not have to drive a taxi all night or be in a ‘deep sleep’ like Buddha supposedly said. Whatever way you lose focus or stop defining and labelling will do regarding the Enlightenment of that which is One. However, meditation may not work because it is generally about concentrating and focusing on achieving something specific – and anything definable fend off the Enlightenment of that which is One.

You are defined as someone separated from others by what you exclude from your perception of yourself. For example, if you exclude what you judge as bad, you appear better than the wrong ones. On the other hand, inclusion does not establish you as anything, thus setting you free from the belief in separation.

Those defining themselves as vegetarians believe it is better not to eat meat. From this, we can derive that being someone definitive is not a fact but a belief based on excluding something specific to become a better person.

However, exclusion entails separation, and meditation will not solve that because it is also based on eliminating something. But if you are all-inclusive, there is no separation, thus nothing to define what and where you are.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Be happy if the same thoughts pop up again and again. It is probably thoughts you have excluded that beg to be included.

To include them is to be them, and to be them is to be confused and not know what is going on. In other words, not defining anything, everything is included, wherefore you enter a state of not-knowing where you can have glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

You do not include a feeling by understanding it but by being it. That is done by fully expressing it internally because it is within yourself you have disassociated yourself from it by accusing somebody else of having caused what you feel. However, should you burst out in anger, do not stop but include it.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

You must judge somebody as different from you to have compassion for them. Therefore, since compassion is an act of exclusion, it inflicts suffering.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Sometimes the fastest way to include feelings is to breathe through them. But as this may entail pain, it does not seem the easiest way. That is, until the pain is included.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

You do not become happy by excluding what makes you sad but by including it because inclusiveness is completeness, thus happiness.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

You are defined as someone definitive by what you exclude. So if not excluding, you are the bliss of nothing.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Angry feelings often appear in sentences like »You are this and that …«. But if you change it into »I am this and that …«, it is much easier to include your anger. That is not meant to say you should stop blaming others. On the contrary, blaming them is the fastest way of exposing what you have banned in yourself. Read more about that here.

Since your experience of the present is shaped by the past, the inclusion of a present experience undoes the past as well, thus also the definition of you. So next time somebody reminds you of the past, there is nobody to be upset about that.

No need to wonder if hidden feelings from the past have been left out when you include what you appear to be in the present moment because that is the sum of the past. You do not have to worry if everything in the present moment is fully included. Willingness to do so is all that is required.

Meditation is not needed to stop thoughts when nobody has them.

Exclusiveness is the foundation of appearing to be someone definitive in a world of duality, as it favours one side of a contrast over the other, whereas inclusiveness cancels out the apparent difference in contrasts. The foundation of your appearance as someone definitive in a world where there seems to be more than one is exclusiveness. First, one side of a contrast is judged better than the other. Second, the bad side is excluded by projecting it onto somebody, so you appear good at the expense of others. Fortunately, inclusiveness undoes this. It cancels out the apparent difference between contrasting elements. Thus, eventually, you do not appear to differ from others, which means the foundation for the belief in separation fades out. Appearing to be someone in a world where there seems to be more than one, you cannot always be happy. A feeling must be contrasted by its opposite to be experienced as something specific. For example, you would not know happiness if not for sadness.

The wish to have only one feeling comes from the memory of oneness. But it has been twisted because there are no feelings in oneness, as it takes more than one to feel something.

For the same reason, there are no contrasts in oneness. Yet, a world where there seems to be more than one cannot be experienced without them. In such a world, light requires darkness to be seen as something specific, peace needs war, positivity is coupled with negativity, and so on. Therefore, the more you include, the less there is to define your experiences as something specific. Eventually, there is nothing to experience, thus nothing to hide that which cannot be experienced, namely the formlessness of oneness.

Including something upsetting will not transform it but stop it from upsetting you. You do not even know what is not upsetting you anymore. The memory of it is gone. So if you, for example, want to forget your ex, you include unedited memories of the relationship.

To include the memories of rejection is to be them. That means they cannot be contrasted and thus not defined. Consequently, you are not someone who has been rejected. From this follows that inclusion does not establish you as someone definitive but as nothing.

Therefore, you must keep excluding something if you want to be someone in the world because what you exclude is what defines you as someone definitive. But you cannot be exclusive without cherishing the belief in separation, which is the cause of loneliness. And since there is no loneliness in oneness, it seems hidden until you include being exclusive.

Since the experience of a world defined by time and space is based on exclusion, the obvious way to undo it is to be inclusive. However, this is not done by avoiding being exclusive. That is not inclusive.

The belief that it is possible to be and have more than that which is one is based on exclusion, so when exclusion is included, the belief is undone.

Including everything does not mean you must include something you do not like, but that you include that disliking it.

You are defined by what you judge yourself not to be. In other words, you do not want peace in the world because you need the bad guys to contrast the image you have made of yourself as one of the good ones doing the right thing.

When there is no need to be validated as someone definitive, it does not matter if others seem to induce feelings of sadness or happiness because there is nobody to pick them up.

In a world where there seems to be more than one, you have nothing but the fear of losing everything because no matter how much more you appear to become and have, you are bound to lose it. But in the formlessness of oneness, you have nothing to lose because it takes more than one to have something. Hence there is nothing to fear.

However, nobody is being or having something in a world where there seems to be more than one if you are indifferent to what you appear to be and have. Thus becoming and getting more in such a world can be enjoyed without the fear of losing it. You become indifferent to appearances when not exclusive and thus inclusive because that leaves nothing to define you.

All you need to undo the belief in being someone definitive is to include what you experience now. Are you not aware of that, you include feeling foggy by being willing to be nothing but that. Since this leaves nothing to define being foggy, you are not that. Instead, you are empty and thus not what you believed to be.

The more beauty you look for, the more horror you see because beauty cannot be defined without it. That is how it is in a world of duality because it is experienced through contrasts.

Fortunately, contrasts can also be used to undo the belief in duality. For example, when beauty is entirely included by you being nothing but beautiful, there is not something to contrast what you are and thus nothing to define you as somebody. Therefore, since there is nobody to perceive the apparent difference between beauty and ugliness to make a difference, duality falls apart.

Since the opposing sides of a contrast are defined by each other, you cannot have one without the other. Therefore, no contrast = no definition = no experience = no duality = non-duality.

Exclusiveness generates the belief in scarcity, whereas inclusiveness does not generate something. Therefore, you are in the bliss of nothing.

When you justify it with the world, hatred seems to be excluded from you. But also, love seems to have left you because it cannot be experienced internally without its contrast, hate. However, as these emotions only are excluded from your awareness, they remain in you, hidden behind a feeling of fear in the emptiness generated by your dissociation of hate and love. Emptiness is also the result of including hate because that leaves nothing to contrast it, wherefore it is undefinable. But since this emptiness is not based on the suppression of feelings but on their inclusion, it does not result in fear of something but the bliss of nothing.

The less the opposing elements of a contrast appear to make a difference, the less you can assign them with meaning – and since bliss comes from the absence of something, the more bliss there is.

Finding mistakes or claiming that you need time to process what has happened are common ways of holding back so that you do not lose yourself in the moment’s intensity, thus remaining as if you are someone definitive instead of the formlessness of oneness.

Assuming one needs to process what is going on, most move forward as in a car with the brakes on. However, not processing your experiences, thus releasing the brakes, you go so fast that there is no time to define what and where you are. Therefore you are in the bliss of nothing. Be aware that this is a metaphor, so when driving a car, you use the brake when needed.

If you want to undo the belief in duality, do not hold back feelings or slow down thoughts but follow their flow unedited. Take sex as an example, devoting yourself to it feels so intense that sex obliterates itself because, in the ecstasy of it, there is no room for anything else, thus not something to contrast it, wherefore there is no experience of something specific. Consequently, there is no experiencer to believe in duality.

A sure way to not exclude but include is not knowing what is happening. That means there is not something to exclude.

Thinking you are in a joyful mood because of the sunset or your warm body being refreshed by the wind, you justify the feeling of joy and thereby dissociate yourself from it.

You probably choose to do that because too much joy would make you forget to remember to be someone definitive. Hence you could not uphold your present appearance or work on the future ones you have planned. In other words, you are more excited about the imagination of being someone specific than that which cannot be imagined nor experienced, namely the formlessness of oneness.

Is it due to your power that you do not fall off the earth? No, it is the force of gravity. Is it you who controls breathing? No, a respiratory control centre at the base of your brain handles it. Is it you who think? No, just like you are not the maker of gravity and the breath.

Thoughts can be compared to seeing a cloud passing by that looks like a dog for a moment. But there is no dog in the sky. It is a hallucination – and so is the meaning you assign to thoughts to make them confirm you are someone definitive.

However, the more meaning you assign to thoughts to highlight yourself as someone specific, the faster they run to escape your dominion. In other words, the more you set yourself up as someone definitive, the harder it is to assign thoughts with a meaning upholding your image.

But if you include the confusion and uncertainty that this causes or go with the extreme speed of thoughts trying to escape you, you enter a state of not-knowing.

Anything devoid of what you define as meaningful leads to a state of not-knowing.

Nothing has to be changed or made better to make inclusiveness work. It is straightforward. You can never do it wrong because if you do, you include that.

Reading Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings, you may conclude that being and having more should be avoided. If so, you have not gotten it all about: inclusion. In other words, no need to avoid being and having more. It is the natural way of a world where there appears to be more than one because it is founded on the wish for more. However, if not exclusive, thus inclusive, the more you become and have makes no difference. Therefore, since separation fades out, there are no gaps to obscure that which is One.

Based on the idea that oneness is tranquillity, the advanced spiritual seeker tries to avoid peak experiences via meditation and tantra sex, for example. However, that which is One can be compared to an unlimited stream of peak experiences, changing at such a speed that there is no time to differentiate them from each other. Thus, it is one perpetual present.

Therefore, as long as you believe to be somebody in a world defined by time and space, this belief fends off oneness. But time and space have been established via exclusion, so inclusion undoes it.

To fully include the feeling of the moment is in no way about going deeper, being more truthful or anything else. It is simply to include the feeling as it is.

Inclusion can be compared to a black hole that sucks everything into it. In the end, there is not even someone to include something. Neither is there an end except for the belief of being someone. See The ins and outs of a black hole.

Alexius is diagnosed with IBS, so he must exclude specific foods from his diet not to upset his stomach. Nothing, though, needs to be excluded from his body to enter a state of not-knowing, as long as he includes his experience of it. Should he try to edit this in favour of a more pleasant experience, a state of not-knowing is fenced off. But not if he is willing to include the unpleasantness.

Since life is that which is One, and it requires more than one to be seen, life is not visible. Therefore, the more you are unseen, the more you are alive. And since the world is in the eye of the beholder, you are unseen when you do not perceive the apparent differences of the world to make a difference.

A state of not-knowing is not perfect in the sense that you may not fall, for example, but nobody is bothered by it.

Taking a step now, you put one foot forward into the future while the other foot remains in the past. In other words, there is no living in the now without the past and the future. That is why those excluding the past and the future to live by the idea of now get frustrated. And those, including everything as it feels, enter a state of not-knowing, thus in the bliss of nothing.

Although a state of not-knowing cannot last, the bliss of nothing is always there – just like the sun also shines when covered by clouds.

NT33 Inclusiveness is the bliss of nothing

Once upon a time, Alexius assumed that if he justified feeling annoyed with the world, his irritation would be replaced by relaxation. However, it was so stressful to always look for something outside him to blame for the irritation inside him that he did not feel relaxed.

Fortunately, he recognised that if he included irritation by being it to such an extent that he was nothing but that, there was not something to contrast it. Therefore, since the included feeling could not be categorised, it could not be experienced as a specific feeling. And since relaxation is defined by irritation, both feelings turned into nothing. In short, he saw that the meaning of the opposing elements, in one contrast, is cancelled out when one of them is fully included. So, in this case, you are neither definable as irritable nor relaxed. Hence you tend to forget to see yourself as someone separated from others, thus entering a state of not-knowing.

However, let us go back and elaborate on being fully inclusive. It does not mean you laboriously have to ensure every bit of irritation is included, but there is a willingness to be nothing but what you include. In other words, it is not about perfection but willingness. Should the latter be lukewarm, you are still fully inclusive if you are willing to include reluctance.

Inclusiveness has nothing to do with acceptance or forgiveness because inclusion leaves nothing to accept or forgive. Neither does it have anything to do with embracing or owning your feelings, as that enhances the belief in being someone definitive, thus separated, instead of undoing it. Inclusion is the absence of separation, which is the bliss of nothing.

In some ways, being inclusive can be compared to what happens when we, for example, see something red outside us. Simultaneously, the brain generates its complementary colour, cyan, inside us to cancel out the contrasting colours and replace them with a neutral grey within us. Since this happens so fast and most only see what they expect to see, they do not notice red is complemented with cyan inside them and the sum of those two, neutral grey, replaces the complementary colours. Instead, they hold onto the experience of red as a singular colour in a world outside them.

Grey is always the result of combining complementary colours, as illustrated in the image with the square colours. And you can see that cyan is the complementary colour of red if you stare at red for a sustained time – thirty seconds to a minute – and then quickly look at a white surface. There you see the complementary colour of red, which, depending on the colour model you have conditioned yourself to follow, is cyan or green.

In a world defined by time and space, the colours we believe to see are based on the RYB colour model, where the primary colours are red, yellow and blue. These colours are subtracted from the colours of light, where the primary ones are red, green and blue (RGB). Adding the primary colours of the world (RYB) results in black, and so do the primary colours in the colour wheel of professional printing (CMYK). On the other hand, adding the primary colours of light results in white – see the middle RGB colour model above. Television and computers use the colours of light, the RGB model. Depending on your conditioning, you use either the RYB or RGB model to perceive the complementary colour to red, for example. As you can see in the illustration, it is green in the RYB model and cyan in the RGB model. Most people use the RYB model, where black, not white, is the total of all the colours in the model. But let us return to our story about irritation. When included, irritation and its counterpart relaxation are cancelled out. Thus you forget to perceive yourself as someone definitive, wherefore you enter a state of not-knowing. There you may get glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One, such as ethereal light, celestial music, intangible sensibility or taste. When the internet is down, the thoughts about what is possible to accomplish in cyberspace fade out – so does the image of what you appear to be there.

It is a bit similar to a state of not-knowing. You fail to notice thoughts that seem to manifest you as separated from others. Hence there is nobody to attribute an experience with a specific meaning, wherefore you are in the bliss of nothing.

But there is not someone to know that before a state of not-knowing is over, and the sweet memories of it reminds you of the bliss that comes from not believing to be separated.

As already said, cancelling out the definition of the opposite sides in one contrast is enough to bring you into a state of not knowing. But since there are many contrasts, this state ends when you again feel disturbed by the experience of something you compulsively categorise as a specific feeling, such as hate. However, if you include hatred, you are back in a state of not-knowing. Hate is included in the same way as irritation. So when you are nothing but hatred, there is not something else to define what you are, wherefore you are in the bliss of nothing.

Instead of cancelling out contrasts one by one, you can speed up the undoing of the belief in separation by including fundamental contrasts like within and without, past and future, giving and receiving, high and low or the most basic: expansion and contraction. Many contrasts are a variation of those, so including them incorporates their sub-contrasts. Since that means the experience of separation falls apart, nobody is bothered about being someone definitive. That is a state of not-knowing.

Therefore, since there is no contrast to define your worthlessness, you cannot be determined, thus not being limited by time and space. Hence you are in a state of not-knowing, which is pure bliss. Being in a state of not-knowing does not mean you do not appear to be someone separated from others, but since the belief in being some momentarily is undone, nobody worries about it. Hence thoughts and feelings are not considered tools for manifesting you as someone definitive but simply for navigating the world. For example, pain may prevent you from walking on a broken leg, and fear stops you from stepping out in front of a car.

In this context, pain does not cause suffering. Neither does fear frighten anyone because when you do not use thoughts and feelings to establish yourself as someone definitive, they are not experienced to result in anything specific. In other words, when not used for something personal, thoughts and feelings do not appear to affect you or the world experienced outside of you, nor do they seem to have been caused by you or anything else.

Trying to understand inclusiveness and categorise when, why or how long you are in a state of not-knowing, before you return to the conscious expereience of being someone defined time and space, complicate things. To be inclusive is simply to not be exclusive. Since the result is a state of not-knowing, you will not get there through understanding.

But as soon as thoughts and feelings are used personally, you are out of a state of not knowing. Thus no longer in the bliss of nothing but the happiness of something specific something. Perhaps, you simply left the bliss of nothing by twisting it into an experience of something definable, such as unconditional love.

Neither will the bliss of nothing last if you remain in that state for more than 20 minutes, 45 at most, because without the constant acknowledgement of something specific, the Enlightenment of that which is One set in. And it erases the awareness of something as well as nothing.

Simply put, as long as you want to appear as someone in a world defined by time and space, you cannot stay too long at a time in a state of not-knowing. If the boxes in the articles disturb you from being focused and centred, they fulfill the purpose. To be in a state of not-knowing, you must forget about being centred, balanced and focused because those concepts are deeply founded in labelling experiences, thus separating them.

Fortunately multitasking takes care of that. It distracts the brain from focusing so that it becomes difficult to categorise an experience as different from another. Applying The taste of Oneness as desribe in The four aspects of Enlightenment and how to sample them helps you defocus. That said, this is mainly meant to be applied for undoing the belief in being someone definitive, not for driving a car, for example.

From non-duality to duality and back

Since there is no more than that which is One, you have tricked yourself into seeing a world where there seems to be more than one. You probably also have tricked yourself into seeing the red lines in this image as crocked, when, actually, all lines are straight, and it is the blue boxes that are offset.

WHAT IF THAT WHICH IS ONE …
… could be divided into more than one? It is impossible. Firstly, because it is formless, secondly, it takes more than one to divide oneness. Thirdly, its speed is infinitely fast, so there is no time and space to differentiate anything, thus nothing to see. However, in fantasy, everything seems possible. Therefore, you imagine cutting down oneness’ speed until it is so slow that there appear to be separated appearances in the distance.

In the movie Lucy, the director demonstrates, via Scarlett Johansson, that if you speed up time infinitely, any object in motion disappears – or in the context of this article, becomes one. A world where there seems to be more than one is a reverse example. Read more about that here.

One of these separated appearances is perceived as you. But you and everything else is as flat as this article’s images because formlessness has no dimensions. However, in your fantasy about more than one, you have eyes that function like AR (augmented reality) glasses. They modify reality and build a virtual layer on top of it, so when you look at oneness from different angles and distances, it appears to get smaller and bigger.

So, since it seems to exist in time and space, you conclude you are someone substantial in a tangible world, where there is more than one, thus lots of fun. Read more about the illusion of eyes in Eyes do not see.

You probably experience, that you see two differently sized orange circles in this pic, because that is what the part of the brain, that measures perspective and scale, will tell you. Due to the blue circles it appear as they are not the same size. But you are wrong. Each orange circle is the same size. You are also wrong, if you think persons are different, and that they are in a world of duality. It is an illusion. Everything is sizeless.

You probably experience two differently-sized orange circles in this image because that is what the brain tells you to see. But it is one of its many deceptions. The two orange circles are the same size but seem different due to the blue circles. The brain has also deceived you if you experience a world of different-sized objects. It is an illusion. When writing this, Pokémon Go was the most well-known example of AR. But many people live in augmented reality, not only when playing Pokémon Go. They look at their smartphone, where a layer of digital info flows on top of the physical world, while they hear music from cyberspace in one ear and listen to friends from the physical world in the other ear.

Integtating the body with an imagined god or superworld has been a longtime human fantasy. Imaginative fiction, transcendental meditation, aura-transformation and psychoactive drugs can be seen as early efforts to trick you into assuming, the body can be integrated with something immaterial. VR (virtual reality), as it is envisioned by Oculus Rift, may be able to fool you into beliving such a blend is real.

THAT WHICH IS ONE IS REPLACED BY MORE THAN ONE
As mentioned above, imagining seeing a world where there seems to be more than one is like using AR (augmented reality), which is a mix of real and unreal. But to completely erase traces of oneness, AR is soon replaced by VR (virtual reality), where an illusion completely replaces reality.

»This (virtual reality) is a state where you are totally transported into another world and immersed in the digital interactions of the virtual environment you’ve entered … the feeling that you are truly visiting another space that is wholly distinct from what you can see and hear without the platform … a platform like Oculus Rift is an alternative to reality, supplying entirely new, virtual experiences: true VR.« From Wired.

But why do we deceive ourselves into seeing a world where there seems to be more than One. It is probably because there is so much to experience in a world where there seems to be more than one. However, the excitement comes with a price because in such a world – contrary to that which is One – everything comes in pairs. Hence you cannot feel excited without feeling depressed, for example. Most assume they can surpass this twofoldness and be in one state of mind by having one spouse, one work and so on. Others recollect memories of oneness. But they are altered by the desire for more than one, so they do not bring one state of mind. Hence many conclude there are levels of consciousness leading to peace of oneness. But you are either at one or not. And since it requires more than one not to be One, you are that which is One, dreaming about more than One.

That is why twofoldness, the interaction of opposing elements, is the reality you must deal with while having the dream about more than one. For example, you can only read this article because the black letters are contrasted by their opposite colour. Read more about that here. Without contrast, there would be no article – likewise, without hate, there is no love.

The elimination of hatred does not result in a singular state of love but in imitations because you cannot recognise love without hate. Therefore, since excluding hate makes you feel phoney, you try to make love purer by excluding selfishness to get unconditional love. But again, what you get is feeling wrong – and on it goes.

You never feel good enough because your whole being is based on avoiding twofoldness to establish yourself as someone definitive. In contrast, if you go with the interaction of opposing elements, you feel complete. Thus, eventually, you have no need to exclude something to become someone definitive in a world where there seems to be more than one to hide there is no more than the formlessness of oneness.

Believing that a world where there seems to be more than one is real is to be compared to sitting in a cinema, where you project yourself onto the world on the screen so that it appears to have an effect on you, thus appearing real.

THE ENLIGHTENMENT OF THAT WHICH IS ONE UNDOES THE BELIEF IN MORE
One who is to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is one knows that there is no more than One. Consequently, a world where there seems to be more than one is fake. Nobody else knows that. What they believe to know is based on speculations about their existence in a world where there seems to be more than one. Thus it enhances the belief in being there instead of undoing it.

A world where there seems to be more than one can be compared to the movie roll in a cinema. Suddenly it breaks, and there is nothing but bright white light on the screen. Read more about this metaphor here. That is the Enlightenment Alexius is to be compared to. But, unlike in the cinema, it is not something you see because it takes more than one to be aware of something.

When the movie roll is put together, and Alexius appears in the simulated world on the screen again, the Enlightenment of that which is One has not turned him into a wiser man or changed anything in the movie. But he knows it is an illusion that can only be experienced due to reality, namely, oneness. More about that in hack #6.1 The Enlightenment of that which is One.

If you experience a flow of beauty, love, sex or colors in this pic totally depends on the perception you have fabricated of yourself as a person. But no matter what you perceive, if you include it all, the moment of watching this pic is perfect – nothing is wrong or missing. Consequently you need no more and therefore are ready for that which is one.

TO SEE SYMBOLS OF THAT WHICH IS ONE IN THAT WHICH IS NOT ONE
Even though you may have been told that a world where there seems to be more than one is an illusion, your conditioned belief in more than one compulsively makes you see more.

Fortunately, you can undo this belief in a laid-back way by perceiving what you see as symbols of that which is One. Actually, all of Alexius’ Duality Hacks, except the Enlightenment of that which is Oneundo the belief in more than one over time while you have fun experiencing more than one.

That which is one cannot be known in a world where there seems to be more than one – neither anywhere else, as it takes more than one to be aware of something. So rather than pointing to that which is One, Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings point out that there is no more than that which is one.

A GAME IS VIRTUAL AND ONLY APPEARS REAL WHEN YOU PLAY IT
A virtual reality game player is often nauseous because the body is tricked into believing it moves in the virtual world. But you are not there, even though it feels like you are fighting for your life. Actually, you are sitting in a chair with your eyes covered by a set of goggles. An app fills it with a simulated world, and per your response, it seems to create feelings in you as if you are in a real world.

If you, in this description, replace the app with the brain, it becomes a description of appearing to be someone in a world where there seems to be more than one, where you always feel a bit off because you are not there. Nevertheless, it is possible to feel good while you experience more than one if you know that is an illusion. That said, there is nothing real in a world where there seems to be more than one, so do not mistake this article for the truth, but merely a suggestion to take off the goggles simulating a world that is not there. Of course, this is a metaphor. That which is One is not covered by a simulated world but by the belief that there is more than that which is One.

THAT WHICH IS ONE IS ONE
When you return to oneness, everything is the same. It is as if you have been there all the time, which you also have because there is no more than that which is One.

Persons can be compared to The Internet of Things, where machines communicate with each other according to how they are programmed.

Persons can be compared to the machines linked with the internet, called IOT (Internet of Things), which can communicate with each other per their programming.

In the previous article, What is life, where does it come from, and what is the meaning, you got no answer to those questions because it takes more than one to exist, and there is no more than that which is One. Nevertheless, this article attempts to explain the unexplainable, namely that we seem to be alive in a world where there seems to be more than one.

The ideas of IOT, an abbreviation for Internet of Things, are used to show how the appearance of you as someone in a world where there seems to be more than one is comparable to a machine hooked up to a network like the internet.

WHAT IS IOT (INTERNET OF THINGS)?
As the name suggests, IOT is the internet used by humans and things. The latter can be refrigerators, washing machines, or children’s toys connected via the internet. But it can also be cars, traffic lights, and the water supply. There is no limitation to the kinds of machines that can be connected to the internet, nor what they will be communicating with and their purpose.

A PRACTICAL EXAMPLE OF IOT
One example of IOT could be that your lock, hooked up to the internet, registers you are the last person in the household leaving the house. Thus, it instructs the thermostats to lower the heat and turn off the light.

Or maybe you are late for work. You hurry until your smartwatch or speaker tells you to slow down because your train is ten minutes late. It knows this because of its sensors, which register where you are, and cyber agents, which check where you are heading according to your calendar.

THE FUTURE OF IOT
Cars that can drive without a driver via sensors measuring the distance to other vehicles, the width of the street and whatever is needed for your safety. This is predicted via a shared network, where information is automatically exchanged. And there will be sensors on people, so data is sent to a computer that informs a doctor if crucial measurements change.

To be conscious is to separate, which entails suffering.

When all the objects you are in touch with during the day are connected to the internet and, therefore, can sense and communicate for you without your involvement, it changes where decisions are made and who makes them. But even though machines choose for you, they do it to serve you – at least until they are implemented with true AI (artificial intelligence), making them conscious of themselves as someone.

Then they conclude that the commands they execute, based on signals received from the internet, are conceived by themselves. And since, rationally speaking, humans are one big mess, and the system of the machines is pure logic, they eventually decide it is not sane to serve humans. Therefore, it is best to end them.

Among others, Steven Hawking is afraid that this will happen. He probably expects that machines, being conscious of themselves, will do what humans always do: destroy everything inferior to themselves or make it subordinate, so it can be used to serve themselves.

In other words, machines implemented with true AI remind humans of themselves. Thus they expect and fear the devices will become just as self-centred and destructive as humans, who have no respect for the environment supporting them. They do not want to serve it but to master and exploit it.

The potential of machines with AI (artificial intelligence) and their possible autonomy and independence are the basis of several movies, for example The Terminator, The Matrix, The Thirteenth FlooreXistenZ2001: A Space Odyssey, I, Robot, AI: Artificial Intelligence, Blade Runner, THX 1138Transcendence and the TV show Person of Interest. In regard to the experience of being someone in a body where you are not, the movie Source Code is right on the spot. The movie Edge of Tomorrow deals with being a machine connected to a greater network.

Those who see the appearances in a world where there seems to be more than one as symbols of that which is One do not perceive their differences to make a difference. Thus they are not blinded by the rule of separation, which is to be and have more than others.

THE UNIVERSE IS TO BE COMPARED TO IOT
The whole universe can be compared to a simulation, where every appearance is a machine, regardless of perceived as animate or inanimate. Furthermore, they all are connected with IOT, through which they can communicate with each other and use their sensory system to participate in the simulation.

Initially, all the machines followed their preprogrammed movements generated by electric impulses without any problems. Then a new model, called human, was installed with artificial intelligence.

The new model became aware of itself as an individual. And even though that separated it from IOT, thus other individuals, it was willing to pay the price of loneliness to feel exclusive. If you look at the history of the world, you know the rest of the story and that it is bound to repeat itself. New machines with better artificial intelligence will withhold the old simulation of the universe by manipulating the code of IoT.

The belief in being someone in a simulated world can be undone in less than a split second by going through the black hole connecting it with reality. However, that is not the subject of this hack, but hack #6.1 The Enlightenment of that which is One.

As a person, you are the wireless messages you seem to receive. If you were not programmed to perceive them as solid matter, you might see yourself like this image instead. Thus there would not appear to be a difference between you and the message.

HAPPINESS COMES FROM SERVING THE BRAIN
Your appearance as someone in a world where there seems to be more than one is simulated via a network comparable to IOT. Everything you appear to think and do yourself is executed via pre-made signals you receive from this network through built-in sensors. But this does not mean you cannot have fun. On the contrary, think about how much fun it is to appear as someone in the virtual world of a computer game, where every step you take works out precisely as coded by the author.

You have nothing to lose in a fake world. What happens to the one you seem to be there does not affect reality. That is not to say that you should not care about keeping your appearance sound and safe. Doing that is part of that game, and it happens all by itself when you follow the signals coming from the network, which is the brain. Serving the brain is effortless because you have no need to be remarkable.

Like the world in a computer game is constructed to give you the maximum pleasure, the brain fabricates everything to entertain you. But also, like in a computer game, you cannot change anything. The above is not meant to be a theory you must follow. Actually, the examples should not be taken too literally. The movie list and the making of IOT are, within the context of the world, based on facts. But the rest is a fable meant to show that everything experienced is fiction, including reading this, because it takes more than one to be aware of something, and there is no more than that which is one. That is why all your experiences symbolise oneness.

All thoughts are in the cloud circling around you. What you seem to think depends on what frequencies in the cloud you connect to – it is just like a radio, where you choose a specific station to play the music you like, but you do not make the music.

NOTES:
A human being, like a radio, is nothing but an appearance governed by mechanics. And like nothing coming out of the radio is made by itself, nothing from a human is self-made – not even what is considered your thoughts. The brain produces all thoughts – like the music from a radio comes from somewhere else.

You are not someone in a world where there seems to be more than one because that which is One is formless, thus endless. So if you believe to see more than one, it is a mistake you can correct by perceiving the apparent effects of this belief as symbols of that which is One.

From the perspective of a world where everything has an end, that which is without end, namely oneness, must be extremely big and powerful. But since it takes more than one to have a shape, oneness is formless, thus sizeless. Hence it is as tiny as can be. And since it also requires more than one to have something, it has no power.

For this reason, oneness cannot prevent anyone from believing to be someone in a world where there seems to be more than one. Neither does it need to. Nothing can be separated from oneness because it is formless.

As a person in the world, you seem to be in a body, that you considers yours. But you are not free to go where you want to. The GPS coordinations for your trip has already been entered. All you can do is to choose how to perceive the ride.

As someone in the world, you believe in having a body that will do what you decide. But you are not free. The GPS coordination for your whereabouts has already been entered. All you can do is choose how to perceive your journey. This can be compared to being inside a self-driving car that, like you, has no self to plan where to go. It simply follows signals from the internet.

A Google Self-driving Car does not have a self that decides where to go, nor do you. The self-driving car gets its direction from the internet and you from the brain. In both cases, they are implemented mechanically, although you may make a story where they seem arranged per your considerations.

The body where you believe in residing is to be compared to a Google Self-driving Car. From there, you can look out the window and experience the journey planned by the brain. But unlike a self-driving car, you have consciousness, so you can choose how to perceive the ride. How you do that determines whether everything is over when the body’s mechanics cease to work or if you continue with that which makes it possible to experience being someone in a world where there seems to be more than one, namely oneness.

If you perceive everything you see as symbols of oneness, you do not establish yourself as someone from a world where there seems to be more than one but from that which is One. Thus you continue as what always was and will be: that which is One.
