‘The empty breath’ and its bliss of nothing

There are no degrees of the Enlightenment of that which is One. It cannot be smaller or bigger because there is no more than that which is One. In other words, to talk about levels of Enlightenment is an illusion regarding the Enlightenment of that which is One.

You cannot become Enlightened, but you can undo the belief in being someone specific, so there is not someone definable hiding that which is One, which cannot be experienced, since that calls for more than one.

However, in a world where there seems to be more than one, there appear to be degrees and levels of everything. In such a world, you can experience glimpses of Enlightenment on many levels depending on how much the outward-facing senses are turned off.

But no matter how high the level, no glimpse comes close to the Enlightenment of that which is One because there are no levels in that which is One. Yet, you become less definable for each glimpse until there is nobody to hide the formlessness of oneness.

One who is to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One does not know what it is, as that requires more than one. Only in a world where there seems to be more than one is there something to know, namely that such a world does not exist because there is no more than that which is One.

Since it takes more than one to bid welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One, somebody in a world where there seems to be more than one cannot be Enlightened. Yet a person may momentarily forget what and where it is, so there is not somebody to hide the Enlightenment of that which is One. Since Alexius is such a person, he is to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One.

Those considering themselves to be somebody always want to become more, but the Enlightenment of the that which is One neither makes you more nor less. Instead, it erases all memories of being somebody because there is no room for anybody in the formlessness of oneness. In other words, the Enlightenment of the that which is One is not for you if you want to be unique.

The Enlightenment of that which is One cannot be seen. Thus it appears hidden as long as you look for something.

Only someone who has bid the Enlightenment of that which is One welcome knows that a world, where there seems to be more than one, is a hallucination. Everybody, who believes they live in such a world, has the choice of continuing to believe so or believe the message of the Enlightened, which is that there is no more than that which is one and that consequently, a world where there seems to be more than one is an illusion. Yet very few choose to believe the message of someone who has bid welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One.

The choice can be compared to a child deciding whether to believe if Santa Claus is real or not. Most want the excitement that comes from believing the merry-go-round story about Santa, so they discard the fact that the friction coming from the speed needed to bring out presents to all the good children in one night would kill him the exact moment he sets off.

It is a downer for children to have Santa exposed as an illusion – just like it is a downer for most persons to hear that a world where there seems to be more than one is not real.

One who is to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One does not ask to be believed, but that you stop believing, a world where there seems to be more than one is real, because without hanging onto this belief, there is not something to hide, there is no more than that which is One.

In a world where there seems to be more than one it is a basic instinct to separate oneself from reality by fabricating a make-believe world – a child, for example, prefers to believe that Christmas presents are coming from Santa Claus than from its parents, although it does not seem very realistic.

Gallery_Inner-Senses_1024x1024The only reason you demand being relaxed, free, excited, and whatnot is that you believe to be someone special in the world of the outward-facing senses. But if you do not give the outward-facing senses your full attention, the inward-facing senses will supply you with a perfect moment where nothing feels wrong or missing.

The way to not give the outward-facing senses your full attention is to not believe, that the experiences they deliver are real. This is done by not giving a shit about upholding your image as someone significant in a world where there seems to be more than one. The more you do not give a shit, the more the inward-facing senses take over.

A way to undo the belief in the world of the outward-facing senses is to perceive everything there as not real but symbols of that which is – just like you, for example, perceive the written word milk not as real but a symbol of that which is.

When perceiving the whole world of the outward-facing senses as symbols, none of its apparent differences makes a difference because they are all symbols of the same – and so there is no foundation for separation. This perception opens the inward-facing senses from where you can experience glimpses of Enlightenment or bid welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One.

But as someone in the world of the outward-facing senses, you cannot perceive everything there as symbols because, to appear as someone significant there, you have excluded the parts of it that do not fit into the chosen image of yourself. That is unless you include this separation or accept the guidance of the empty breath, which you do by not accepting the apparent reality in the world of the outward-facing senses.

Constantly trying to be somebody stresses you, because that turns you into a creature frozen into definable and dense appearances and that which is you is not definable, but extremely fast, formless and free flowing. The inner sense is constantly urging you to go with this flow of nothingness instead of believing it is possible to be somebody. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

In a world where there seems to be more than one, you always need to be and have more so you can show off as someone more important than others.

If you want to be more famous than others you need lots of fans to prove your popularity. If you need to feel Enlightened, you want others to express how wise you are so that you can use their praise to deny your darker sides and show off as someone light and spiritual.

But you can never bid welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One if it is something you need because needing it implies you are without it – and how can you be without it when that which is you are no different from that which is One. Least of all, can you bid welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One, if you want to use it to make you appear as someone important because that requires more than one, and there is no more than that which is One.

You will have no more than one glimpse of the Enlightenment of that which is One if you use your interpretation of this glimpse to promote yourself as someone with a vision for a better future full of love or whatever you imagine will turn you into the new messiah.

When there is no need to use glimpses of Enlightenment to save the world but rather to undo the belief in it, you are set free to be used by the glimpses, that will keep coming until you cannot tell them apart so that there is not something definable to experience and therefore not someone definitive to hide the formless Enlightenment of that which is One.

Those who want to always be blissful in a merry-go-round world may at first like to read about the bliss of a state of not-knowing (see the previous article The ins and outs of the inward-facing senses). But when they realise that bliss comes from not believing to be someone definitive, they avoid a state of not knowing by making sure to perform as if they are somebody definitive – for example by saying, »I need time to open up.«

But only those who want to uphold the belief in being someone definitive need time for something specific. Actually, they need to spend all their time with thoughts about something specific. If they do not keep the brain busy processing such thoughts for 20 minutes, 45 at the most, it falls into a coma. In other words, unless you leave a state of not-knowing pretty soon, what you believed to be is forever gone, and so is bliss. Thus there does not appear to be something hiding, there never was and never will be anything but the formlessness of oneness.

As this is the termination of what and where you believe to be, you only say you want it to enhance the image of being special. Hence you make sure that the groups you meet with about oneness, non-duality and Enlightenment are based on established rules coming from long-time dead persons that you can learn to use in a way that makes you appear to be right and therefore special.

Anyhow it does not make sense to meet in groups and talk about oneness as if that is something you want, as there is no more than that which is One since it is formless and therefore endless. So wanting it is just as stupid as wanting your body in the world where you believe in being. You already have it.

What makes sense, though, while appearing to be someone in a specific body, is to want not to be that. And since you are not someone definitive, it is just the belief that this is what you are, which needs to be undone.

Any of Alexius’ Duality Hacks, except the Enlightenment of that which is One, will do that if this is your purpose of applying them.

Only someone who is to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One can write Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings. Not because such a person knows what to write but what not to write. Thus his personality does not prevent them from being written by themselves.

You cannot know the Enlightenment of that which is One, which is why hardly anybody is enlightened. They try so hard to know and understand – and so they fail because regarding the Enlightenment of that which is One, everything you seem to know is wrong!

The unenlightened likes to teach others the way to enlightenment, but the enlightened knows there is no way.

Books and lectures may seem to provide some understanding about the Enlightenment of that which is One, but the more you think you understand, the further away you are from it. The same applies if you think you know it after reading Alexius’ Duality Hacks. They are not meant to be understood but to help you unlearn what you have learned.

The enlightened does not care to appear spiritual or anything else, as to be something requires more than one. But to the unenlightened it is very important appearing to be spiritual, so even though the enlightened and the unenlightened knows just as much about the enlightenment of that which is One, namely nothing, the unenlightened show off as if knowing so much.

You cannot bid welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One by wanting it but by not wanting to be of the world. It erases everything you know so that there is nothing left for the light to carry through a black hole into that which is One.

The enlightenment of that which is One has absolutely no effect, as that would require more than one. Hence it wipes out the isea of cause and effect.

Even the slightest definition of the Enlightenment of that which is One gives it a beginning and end – and as it cannot be limited, you have fabricated another illusion to fence it off. So do yourself a favour: Forget all that you think you read. Forget what and where you believe to be so that there is no belief blocking out the Enlightenment of that which is One.

It is easy to write Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings because they write themselves. Alexius just have to hit the right keys. Before doing that, however, he may have had a hard time coming to the point of, for example, being able to write about dying from the world as described in the below box:

If you perceive everything, that can be experienced, as symbols of that which is life, to focus on something becomes a symbol of life. Consequently to focus on what is not real in order to make it appear as if it is, leads to defocusing, because when everything is perceived as a symbol of the same, their apparent differences do not make a difference.

Without focus the world cannot be experienced, neither you as a person in it, and so there is nothing to see. No forms appears to hide the formlessness of that which is life.

The above box summarises a very long night a long time ago when Alexius was on the edge of dying. In the following days the feeling of the body was replaced by an electrified humming, often symbolised by Aum, Sohang or The Word of God. To make long short, as someone definable you must always be willing to die so that there is not something definable appearing to hide the formlessness of that which is One.

This is not meant to be understood as the body must be terminated because that would imply it is real. It is the belief that you are someone definable that must be undone.

Alexius has no answer to the question, who am I. An answer would be just as illusionary as the question, which implies there is more than that which is One although oneness is formless and therefore endless.

 

If somebody seems to cheat you, reject you or do something else that you judge as unfair, you choose not to believe this to be real, and so you set yourself and others free from the world of the outward-facing senses. It is in your own best interest to set everybody free, even though you may think that not everybody deserves it. But setting them free, the world of the outward-facing senses fades out so that you can connect with the empty breath, that opens the door to the world of the inward-facing senses, where the Enlightenment of that which is One is waiting for you to bid it welcome.

The Enlightenment of that which is One is not something you find like you find other things in the world. Enlightenment is rather that you do not try to find anything so there is not something to hide, you are not someone definable but one who is to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One. In other words, no need to look for Enlightenment, but for what you use to hide it. You could also just accept the guidance of the empty breath.

If you get the impression from reading Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings that the inward-facing senses are less deceptive than the outer ones, you have chosen to be deceived into believing that you can become better, higher or wiser by looking inside. But if that is your purpose, they will cause you as much suffering as the outer ones.

But if your purpose is to not become anything at all, so that there is not something to hide the formlessness of that which is you, the inward-facing senses will speed up the undoing of the belief in being someone at all.

The Enlightenment of that which is One does not illuminate anything. On the contrary, it is so bright that there is nothing to see. Besides, it requires more than one to see something, and there is no more than the formlessness of oneness, as it is endless. In other words, if you appear to be in a world where there seems to be more than one, you do not exist, and you know it. That is why everybody throughout history asked the same question: Who am I? Searching for who you are, implies you are someone definitive.

It is the tension that comes from consistently doing something to be someone that makes you feel tangible. But the more you feel that the more the Enlightenment of that which is One is fenced out.

The empty breath is not a step to something better because it is a state of not knowing, and so the other duality hacks. Hence there is no way to know if they differ from each other or in any way overlap each other. No worries. There is nobody to care about that in a state of not-knowing. Alexius especially experiences the world of the inward-facing senses and its glimpses of Enlightenment before falling asleep. In this case, it is by giving the world of the outward-facing senses his minimum attention. During the day, while doing something, the outward-facing senses get more attention.

Before going to sleep, it often starts as a perfect moment induced by inclusiveness. See hack #3.1 Every moment is the perfect moment. From there, he is brought into a state of not-knowing where there are glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is one. He is not aware, though, how a perfect moment and a state of not-knowing differ, nor does he know how long they last. They seem to be intertwined,

Yet, he knows it comes and goes and that a state of not-knowing probably lasts less than 20 minutes because the brain falls into a coma if there is nobody to be aware of its thoughts of a world where there seems to be more than one (see the article Willingness not to exclude but include undoes the belief in a world where there seems to be more than one).

A state of not-knowing can be brought by a take-off into the empty breath, glimpses of enlightenment, inclusiveness, pretending to be someone definitive, seeing symbols of life in the world or being alone together (see Alexius’ Duality Hacks). But it is not to say, since if it is the same since it is a state of not-knowing.

But when he wakes up in the morning, he knows that the cure for believing in being someone definitive is a state of not-knowing. Whether triggered by the empty breath or another duality hack does not matter. What matters is that its bliss of nothing is achieved effortlessly without the help of thoughts and feelings. Therefore, when he returns to the consciousness of being someone, he knows that thoughts and feelings are only needed for the bliss of anything but for the belief in being someone.

When the empty breath is in charge of the switch between the inner and outward-facing senses, there is neither inside nor outside.

When not focussing on something specific, the world of the outward-facing senses becomes blurry. Hence the world of the inward-facing senses opens up. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

A NIGHT WITH BLISSFUL MOMENTS OF NOT-KNOWING
Laying in the bed with a 3D Sleep Mask on and protection ear plugs* plugged into his ears, the transparent sound of the empty breath seems to transport him into worlds of light, where lucid universes unfold at an extreme speed, or flowers in slow-mo until thoughts or feelings try to surface and sleep sets in. Going into a deep sleep, the visions of light continue, and when he wakes up early in the morning, they turn into ethereal harmonies.

It does not seem exciting to me anymore to travel in worlds of light. I am rather naturally attracted to leaving everything behind and as nothing sucked though a black hole into that which is one. It seems though, that I am to return in order to complete my non teachings. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

It seems like ages ago when Alexius enjoyed travelling in worlds of lucid light. Nowadays, he prefers not to see anything and as nothing falling through a black hole into the formlessness of oneness. See the article The ins and out of a black hole. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

Actually, this is a typical description from many years ago, where the glimpses of Enlightenment were exciting journeys in the enchanted worlds of light. Nowadays, he does not care much for such visions, which mostly are exciting because they, to some extent, are recognisable. Instead, he is drawn to visions of abstract nothingness. That is until they swirl together around a so-called black hole. This is neither exciting nor relaxing. It just is.

The vibration that Aum or Sohang symbolises** is another aspect of the Enlightenment of that which is One that can be experienced through the inward-facing senses. In the case of Alexius, it pops up now and then during the day as a natural extension of the empty breath. The taste of the Enlightenment of that which is One also pops up – for example, when he writes about it.

The Enlightenment of that which is One is impersonal, but the vague memories of it is filtered by the personality. Since it cannot take in one perpetual present, the Enlightenment of that which is One is described as a personal experience in time and space. On the other hand, glimpses of enlightenment is solely a personal experience.

Eyes cannot see – they translate, or it is rather the brain that translate all the otherwise meaningless info it receives through the eyes according to how it is conditioned to see the world. If it receives info that does not fit into its image of the world, it twist it until it does. In other words, you have no idea about what is written in this article or what is in the world. If you acknowledge this you do not need to read my non teachings, because this acknowledgement bids welcome the enlightenment of that which is one. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

The eyes cannot see – they translate***, or rather it is the brain that translates the frequencies it claims to receive from the eyes. Therefore, since your brain has fabricated what you believe to be reading, you have no idea what is said in it. Acknowledging this is to bid welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One. YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT YOU READ BECAUSE IT IS FABRICATED BY THE BRAIN
Be aware that the above is how Alexius experiences the world of the inward-facing senses when the world of the outward-facing senses gets less attention. But like you and he probably experience things in the world of the outward-facing senses differently, the same may apply to the world of the inward-facing senses. And regarding the Enlightenment of that which is One, his vague memories of not being someone at all are most likely selective (see hack #6.1 The Enlightenment of that which is One).

In other words, the descriptions you get in Alexius’ Duality Hacks of the Enlightenment of that which is One and its glimpses are not absolute. Besides, you have not read them, but your brain’s translation. Furthermore, you may have layered your interpretation of that on top of it.***

The night can be full of restless dreams, that seem very real, until you quietly wake up to the sound of ethereal music, that cancels out the confusion of the night, so that you full of clarity get out bed.

Neither is his experience the same every night. Some nights thoughts or emotions seem to take over and get him into the world of the outward-facing senses. No worries, if that happens to you too. It is a great way to see that thoughts and emotions have no power, and that power is unnecessary when there is no need to be someone.

ANYTHING INTERPRETED AS SPECIFIC ENDS THE TOUR OF THE INWARD-FACING SENSES
You cannot do something to be in the world of the inward-facing senses because achieving something only works in a tangible world. But for the very same reason, you can do something to not experience the world of the outward-facing senses – for example, putting on a sleeping mask.

Best to forget all the descriptions from Alexius’ Duality Hacks about the glimpses of enlightenmen. You may interpret them as something specific, and that cannot be replicated in the world of the inward-facing senses.

Suppose you remember the last time you travelled in incredible worlds of lucid light, and you want more like that. In that case, you will not get i. Defining glimpses of Enlightenment in this way turns them into an experience of the outward-facing senses. Only there does it seem possible to experience something specifically more than once. In other words, if interpreting the glimpses of the Enlightenment in the way you do in the world of the outward-facing senses, there are no more glimpses to experience.

When you completely turn off the outward-facing senses or are willing to do so, you bid welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One. No image can be shown of that because it cannot be experienced since that requires more than one. However, glimpses of Enlightenment can be experienced. One of the last glimpses you may have before they fuse into the Enlightenment of that which is One could look like a horse head. A black hole sometimes looks like just before there is nothing but the most intense light. Nobody knows if it blasts out of the hole or into it because the light is so blinding that you cease to exist as someone definitive. That is why nothing is sucked into the black hole, that is not there anymore, just a gentle void transporting nobody into the formlessness of oneness. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

TO TURN OFF THE OUTWARD-FACING SENSES PARTIALLY OR TOTALLY
The easiest way to switch between the outward and inward-facing senses is, of course, to let the empty breath take care of it – see Notes on the empty breath – but until you are willing to choose, not to choose but to be guided by the empty breath the below suggestion can be of help.

You turn off the outward-facing senses by not excluding unwanted thoughts and feelings but including them. Therefore, since there is no contrast to define a tangible world, you are in the abstractness of the inward-facing senses. If the inclusion is partial, you have glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One, and if it is completed, there is not someone to hide the Enlightenment of that which is One.

Do not pay too much attention to the world of the outward-facing senses, when in the world of the inward-facing senses. And when moving in the world of the outward-facing senses, it is often best hardly to pay attention to to the inward-facing senses, except the memory of their  bliss. That helps you to involve yourself in the world of the outward-facing senses without being of it.

There are no rules though, so there can be times where the two worlds seem to mix in a beneficial way, but why not fully enjoy the taste of wine on the premises of the world of the outward-facing senses, and totally space out when you fly through amazing worlds of abstract light in the world of the inward-facing senses.

In other words, when you are solely in the world of the inward-facing senses, the belief in being someone in a world defined by time and space is undone by the Enlightenment of that which is One. This does not mean you are transformed into that which is one. Instead, it means the awareness of being someone is gone because it takes more than one to be conscious of something. Thus there does not appear to be something hiding, there is no more than that which always was and will be, namely that which is One since it is formless, thus endless.

APPENDIX
If you get the impression from reading Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings that the inward-facing senses are less deceptive than the outer ones, you have chosen to be deceived into believing that you can become better, higher or wiser by looking inside. If that is your purpose, they will cause you as much suffering as the outer ones.

But if your purpose is to become nobody, so that there is not somebody to hide the formlessness of that which is you, the inward-facing senses will speed up the undoing of the belief in being someone specific.

Notes on ‘The Enlightenment of that which is One’ and glimpses of it

You know this pic is not how the physically world really look. It is rather a fantasy, thar is only possible due to physical life, that it therefore is a symbol of. Likewise the physical world is a symbol of life even though the physical world has nothing to do with life.

The outward-facing senses create such expressive images that we choose to believe a world where everything is separated by time and space is real. However, when those senses are entirely turned off, there is no time and space. Hence nothing to hide that the abstractness of the inward-facing senses flows are absorbed by an explosion coming out of a black hole or maybe sucked it. There is no way to know which way it is because this is the Enlightenment of that which is One, and it takes more than one to be aware of something.

Also, an explosion may not be the best word to use because it is nothing but empty space carrying the nothingness of you into the formlessness of oneness. In other words, nothing happens. It is not necessary because you have never left oneness. It is impossible because it is formless, thus endless.

Research from the University of California Santa Barbara has proved that human cells and neutron stars have something in common. Both are built of layers, looking like a parking garage with many floors that are connected via steps.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Although oneness is endless, it does not last forever. On the contrary, it lasts no time because it is one perpetual present. However, this never-ending story cannot be told in a world defined by time and space. You must leave that world to get it. Fortunately, when you do that, the only thing that ends is the belief in time and space.

However, reading this article, you still believe in a tangible world constructed of layer upon layer of thoughts, added so that it seems there are different levels in a world defined by time and space. Within this context, it also appears as if there are levels of turning the outward-facing senses off and that the more the inward-facing senses take over, the more you have glimpses of Enlightenment.

However, these glimpses are not the Enlightenment of that which is One because there are no levels in that which is One. Nevertheless, the glimpses of Enlightenment slowly but surely undo the belief in differences, so someday you bid welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One, and since it is timeless so it takes no time to have the rest of the belief in separation undone.

If you, after having bid welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One, reappear in a world defined by time and space, it will be as someone definitive without the formlessness of oneness. Yet you have vague memories of it, and that is enough to know there is no more than that which is One, wherefore all experiences are fake because it takes more than one to experience something.

To sum up: When partially turning off the outward-facing senses, the inward-facing senses is only partly triggered, so you have glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One, which is an experience you have while still aware of appearing as someone in the world of the outward-facing senses.

These glimpses can be compared to watching a movie trailer. But then again, it is not really so because both the trailer and the film are something you experience. And the Enlightenment of that which is One, bid welcome by completely turning off the inward-facing senses, is experienced as that requires more than one.

The technique for tasting oneness (see the previous article The four aspects of Enlightenment and how to sample them), Alexius likes to do during the day. He does not do it for the taste of it, but for the indifference it induces.

Being indifferent, he is not distracted from going with the flow of the ongoing glimpses of Enlightenment, provided he is not dealing with something that craves much attention in the world of the outward-facing senses. If he is involved in something which demands much attention, the indifference towards it makes sure that the perception of it is founded on glimpses of Enlightenment.

In other words, the world is experienced, but not as if he is in it. It is more like sitting in a cinema, imagining being in the world on the screen.

This image of the same mountain, as in the other pictures in this article, again shows that you can have many different glimpses of it and that they are all coloured by the one having the glimpses. The Enlightenment of that which is One is not coloured by the one experiencing. It is impossible to do that since it would require more than one. In other words, there is nothing personal about the Enlightenment of that which is One. Yet, describing it via vague memories is like everything else, where more than one seems to be involved, coloured by the personality of the describer as well by the one interpreting the description. Depending on the strength of the glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One, it can be like momentarily dying from the world of the outward-facing senses. So if you are occupied by something there, it can be disconcerting.

Glimpses of Enlightenment, which many mistakes for the Enlightenment of that which is One, may leave you with the impression that it is possible to fuse heaven and earth, thus creating a better world. But neither dictators, rich people, political or so-called spiritual-minded persons have ever succeeded in creating a world as they think it should be.

Instead of acknowledging this, most, who have had one or more glimpse of the Enlightenment of that which is One, start teaching how to make the world better. They put together a new philosophy based on their interpretation of one or more glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One, mixed up with speculative ideas about spirituality and maybe ancient traditions of meditation and whatnot.

For example, they may encourage not being conditioned so that you can be free in the present moment. But the experience of that or anything else is based on the conditioned belief that you are someone defined by time and space. However, it is not a fact, but a belief, that you blindly follow. You choose to be conditioned by it so that it seems to be a fact, that you are someone definitive in a world defined by time and space instead of the formlessness of that which is One.

In a world defined by time and space, the mixing of things may work well for you. But not in the formlessness of oneness. Since blending something requires more than one, it is not possible to mix anything, so the idea of combining the different facets of the Enlightenment of that which is one fences it off.

That said, if you do not do the taste of life technique for the sake of the taste but for its benefits regarding defocusing, you can do this while being devoted to either seeing, hearing or feeling glimpses of Enlightenment.

If you perceive somebody to cheat or reject you or do something else judged as unfair, you choose to be mistaken. Hence you set yourself and others free from being defined by the world of the outward-facing senses. It is in your best interest to set everybody free, even though you think that they do not deserve it. Setting them free, the world of the outward-facing senses fades out and the door to the world of the inward-facing senses opens up. Thus you have glimpses of Enlightenment of that which is One.

You do not find the Enlightenment of that which is One like you find like other things in a world defined by time and space. But when you do not try to find anything there is not something to hide, you are not someone definable but one who is to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One. In other words, no need to look for Enlightenment, but for what you use to hide it.

The Enlightenment of that which is one is like being transported in a driverless car that is programmed to take you to your favourite aspect of the Enlightenment of that which is one, so you carelessly forget to define the glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is one, and they as one bright light, tone, emotion or taste carry the nothingness of you back into the formlessness of oneness.

Enlightenment and the glimpses of it are in Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings described in a certain way. But elsewhere it may be described in another way – just like two persons often describe the same cup of coffee in different ways.

So do not wait for the Enlightenment of that which is One, or the glimpses of it, to be revealed precisely as described in Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings. In other words, you do not have to fit into the terminology of Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings. Also, trying to extract a specific way to the Enlightenment of that which is One, or the glimpses of it from Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings, will not help you. It is better to forget all words about it and thrust its light, sound, feeling, or taste to do its thing when you partly are willing not to be someone definitive.

Where do Alexius’ Duality Hacks come from

Since Alexius hardly has read any scriptures or so-called spiritual books, Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings are not based on an existing religion or philosophy, nor are they meant to be a new religion or philosophy but to undo the belief in such concepts as well as anything else. Hack #1-4 and #7 (see Alexius’ Duality Hacks) are deduced from Alexius’ ways of appearing as someone in a world where there seems to be more than one. The way to connect with the empty breath is deduced from his connection with it. Alexius did not initially connect with it, as he advises in his non-teachings. Instead, the empty breath was given to him. Maybe so he could deduce a way for you to connect with it.

The way to hear or feel the vibration that Aum, Sohang, and The Word of God symbolise, as described in the previous article The four aspects of Enlightenment and how to sample them and especially in Life has no secrets, is deduced from Alexius’ experience of hearing and feeling it. He started to hear and feel this echo of oneness in his youth. However, it was not by Aum or Sohang but by devotion.

Still, it was not before much later he realised that hearing or feeling this echo of oneness is what those who constantly chant Aum or Sohang are looking for but never find because they expect something extraordinary. Yet having recognised it himself, it was not a problem to deduce a fast way of hearing or feeling the unpronounceable vibration that Aum or Sohang symbolises.

The ways to have glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One in the form of light, music and nectar as described in the previous article The four aspects of Enlightenment and how to sample them, Alexius heard about it in his youth. But most likely, the speaker only had second-hand knowledge of it because he mainly referred to ancient scriptures and not personal experiences.

A guru, which means a teacher, is always deeply founded in the belief of being someone special in a world, where there seems to be more than one, because it requires more than one to teach somebody. In other words, a guru is no different from anybody else profiting on the belief that it is possible to be and have more than that which is one.

Guru is a Hindi word for teacher, and as such, it is deeply founded in the belief of being in a world where there seems to be more than one because it requires more than one to teach something. Anyhow Alexius soon had so many visions of light that he forgot to differentiate them. Thus he quickly bid welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One (see hack #6.1 The Enlightenment of that which is One). But he cannot offer a technique for this other than forgetting what and where you appear to be, so there is nothing definable to block it out. But since it takes more than one to share something, the Enlightenment of that which is On cannot be communicated. On the other hand, glimpses of it are experienced by somebody, so they can be shared. And since Alexius experience them continually, his guidance about them is not based on second-hand knowledge. Consequently, they may not be similar to what you hear from those interpreting old scriptures because, without the Enlightened of that which is One, you are bound to misinterpret them.

As most seem to think Enlightenment is something you achieve, where after you are an Enlightened, amazing person, it may be best to spell out that the Enlightenment of that which is One cannot be achieved by anybody because to bid it welcome, you must be nobody. In other words, Alexius has not been Enlightened but momentarily stepped aside so that there was nothing but light sucking him into the formlessness of oneness through a black hole. That is why he is to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One.

Most gurus do not talk about the Enlightenment of that which is One, but glimpses of it that they  experience while remaining conscious of being someone definitive. They often consider such experiences to come from the pineal gland. But the Enlightenment of that which is One, does not come from anywhere. That is why you must forget what and where you are to bid it welcome.

Unfortunately, this does not apply to most others talking about Enlightenment. What they say about it is not geared toward bidding it welcome but fending it off so they can become unique in the eyes of the world. This worldly purpose they hide behind vague and mysterious stories about a better world, coming from the heart and whatnot.

The old-school gurus may speak hazily about kundalini, which is supposed to make a fusion between body and spirit so that you become full of bliss and wisdom. Newer gurus have speculative teachings about living in the now, realising the self or a higher purpose. Both approaches appeal to those who want their feelings of inferiority replaced with feelings of spiritual grandeur, so they seem acknowledged as someone special part of something higher.

Most belief systems are just a shared vocabulary for people feeling inferior, so they can hide their misery by sharing this vocabulary with like-minded ones. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

But it requires more than one to merge with something, be full of light, live in the now, and realise the self. In other words, it is an experience geared toward a world where there seems to be more than one and has nothing to do with that which is One.

Any experience in a world where there seems to be more than one can turn into that which is One, provided you do not try to hold onto the experience as something specific. It is only possible when you believe to be someone definitive there is no room for anything definitive in the formlessness of oneness

The same applies to seeing, hearing, feeling or tasting glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One. That is why Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings distinguish between the Enlightenment of that which is One and glimpses of it. The latter is, as already said, an experience or a state of being, thus part of a world where there seems to be more than one. But the Enlightenment of that which is One is not an experience, nor any being, because it takes more than one to experience or be something. In other words, it is not part of a world where there seems to be more than one. On the contrary, it erases all memories of this fantasy.

All ways lead to Rome, they say, but they forget to say that they also lead away from it. So do not count on the ways suggested by the gurus promising a hypothetical better life in the future, because only a world where there seems to be more than one has a future. And as reality is one perpetual present, it has neither an end or a future, wherfore anything with a future is an illusion.

For those teaching about kundalini, freedom in the now, higher self and similar ideas, it does not seem to be a problem that no one ever gets what they promise. On the contrary, because it means their followers keep paying money, giving hugs or whatever the teacher asks for to make both of you feel it is possible to be and have more than that which is One.

Yet, this is not what Alexius’ Duality Hacks are about. They point to the formlessness of oneness – or rather towards that which appears to hide, there never was and never will be more than that which is One.

The four aspects of Enlightenment and how to sample them [draft]

The echo of that which is one, which often is symbolised by the words Aum, Sohang or The Word of God and which comes from the edge of the universe can be heard or felt right now via the inner senses, because they are not limited by time and space.

The echo of that which is One is often symbolised by the words Aum, Sohang or The Word of God. It comes from the edge of the universe, but since the inward-facing senses are not limited by time and space, using them, it takes no time to go there to hear or feel the echo of oneness coming out of a black hole. See Going back to the first moment of duality.

None of the facets of the Enlightenment of that which is One can be experienced because it requires more than one to be aware of something. Thus when you hear, feel, see or taste it, you do not experience the Enlightenment of that which is One but glimpses of it. This article is about how to experience these glimpses with the inward-facing senses while still in the world of the outward-facing senses. Remember that as a movie trailer is not the movie, the glimpses are not the Enlightenment of that which is One

And be aware that the ways described below to have glimpses of Enlightenment will not work if you look forward to being or having more, as their function is to undo the belief that it is possible to be and have more than that which is one. This does not mean, you must restrain yourself from getting more but not care about it.

HEARING OR FEELING THE ECHO OF ONENESS
As already implied, oneness cannot be revealed because that calls for more than one. However, when you hear or feel it echoed from the edge of the universe, the belief in being and having more than One is, eventually, undone. Hereafter, it does not appear to hide there never was or will be more than that which is one.

In other words, the more you ignore the world defined by time and space, produced by the outward-facing senses, the more a world not limited by time and space is experienced by the inward-facing senses. Without time and space, it takes no time to go to the edge of the universe (read more about that here), where the echo of oneness has been used to create a fantasy world of time and space which seems genuine until you hear or feel this primordial vibration, often symbolised by Aum, Sohang or The Word of God.

»With every exhalation the soul recites ‘Hang’ and with every inhalation it recites ‘So’. Thus every soul counts the mantra of Sohang (So plus Hang) twenty-one thousand and six-hundred times every day and night.« Gherand Samhita, stanza 84.

In Eastern religions the echo of oneness is symbolised by the word ‘Aum’ or ‘Sohang’ and in the New Testament by ‘The Word of God’: »In the origin The Word had been existing and That Word had been existing with God and That Word was himself God.« John 1:1, Aramaic Bible in Plain English.

One who is to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One perceives ‘The Word’ in the above quote as a metaphor for the unpronounceable vibration you hear or feel when not being totally focused on the world of the outward-facing senses. The unenlightened, however, speculates about what exact words this is hinting at, even though there is not a single verse in the Bible referring to ´The Word of God´, as if it is written or can be spoken.

The vibration that AUM or Sohang symbolizes comes from the edge of the universe, which is only far away if you let yourself be deceived by a world defined by linear time as experienced through the outer senses.

Glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One are echoes of oneness coming out of a black hole at the edge of the universe. However, this is not far away when you ignore the outward-facing senses and their world defined by time and space and go with the inward-facing ones instead because they are not ruled by time and space. Thus you can see, hear, feel or taste the echo of oneness regardless of where you appear to be in the world of the outward-facing senses.

A way to ignore the outward-facing senses so you can hear or feel the echo of oneness with the inward-facing senses is not to be exclusive but inclusive. When you include all that you hear or feel completely unedited – or are willing to – the sum of everything in the world of the outward-facing senses is heard by the inward-facing senses. It sounds or feels like a humming of nothing and everything simultaneously. And it feels like you are both in the world of the outer and inward-facing senses.

THE THIRD EYE
Seeing glimpses of oneness is done via the inward-facing sense called the third eye, a single ‘eye’ in the middle of the two eyes above the two eyebrows.

»The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.« Matt 6:22, King James Bible. This makes much sense to one who is to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One but obviously not to the unenlightened, because in the new international version of the New Testament this sentence has been changed to: »The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy, your whole body will be full of light.«

How this is meaningful to the unenlightened, Alexius does not know. But he knows it makes no sense to one who is to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One.

When you for whatever reason – maybe due to being very desperate, drunk or tired – are unable to focus, the Enlightenment of that which is One is bid welcome. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

The enlightenment of that which is One is bid welcome by completely ignoring the outward-facing senses. First time this happened for Alexius was when he returned home totally exhausted after a long nights work of taxi driving and simply was too tired to focus.

In other words, to be offbeat, exhausted, confused or maybe even drunk is a way to forget the outward-facing senses, so that there is no world to see and therefore nothing to hide the Enlightenment of that which is One. In fact anything that is not part of a scheme to fabricate images defined by time and space will do.

If that includes drugs Alexius does not know, because he has not experienced them. Yet he can say from looking at others taking drugs, that it seems to be more about expanding the consciousness of a world where there seems to be more than one than undoing it.

»Direct your eyes toward the middle of the eyebrows and meditate upon your own self. It is Shambhavi Mudra, the most secret practice of all the Tantra scriptures.« Gherand Samhita, stanza 59.

The positioning of the body, while activating the third eye, does not matter, as long as the body does not bother you.

Practically speaking you can turn off the visual outward-facing sense and open the third eye by closing the eyes and lightly, without any concentration, hold a finger on the third eye. You can do it anywhere in any position. However, it is best to do in a dark room, so you do not think the revelation of light comes from the world of the outward-facing senses.

If something like this is dechiffered into different colors and forms, you will have glimpses of the enlightenment of that which is one, but if you do not judge any colors or forms to be different from each other the apparent differences will explode into one bright light.

If having a vision like this and it is deciphered into an experience of different colours and shapes around a centre, it is a glimpse of ‘the Enlightenment of that which is One.’ If you on the other hand do not judge the apparent different colours and forms to make a difference or to come from somewhere specific, one bright and colourless light, that seems to explode from out of nowhere wipes out all thoughts collected to form you into someone definitive, so nobody gracefully falls into the formlessness of oneness.

Since the eyes always looks for the greatest contrast of light, your closed eyes automatically search the darkness until they move inwards and upwards towards the third eye from where they settle at a light show exposed at such a speed that the apparent contrast between the splashes of colours hardly can be perceived.

»Touching eyeballs as a feather, lightness between them opens into the heart and there permeates the cosmos.« Sochanda Tantra, stanza 13.

If your eyes do not automatically move inwards and upwards into the area of the inward-facing senses above the eyebrows, you may help them by gently pressing the thumb and middle finger on the outer corner of the eyeballs, while having the middle finger on the third eye.

However, this is not really commendable, since even the slightest effort requires focus, and it is not focus but defocus that bids welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One or glimpses of it. Furthermore this may give you the impression that certain physical postures can open the third eye.

None of the inward-facing senses are reached via a specific posture or way of thinking. But deactivating the outward-facing senses can be achieved in this way, so if you find a specific technique that seems helpful regarding this by all means go for it. However, the fastest way to deactivate the outward-facing senses is to not know what and where you are.

A way to to deactivate the outward-facing senses is to use an eye massager with infrared heat fusion technology, such as Breo iSee4 Eye Massager. Besides from turning off the outward-facing sense of seeing, the heat soften the eyes. And when they are relaxed, they do not focus. Hence they automatatically turn inwards and upwards to merge with the third eye.

»… and there shall be no light there, and they need no candle there, neither the light of the sun, for the Lord God giveth them light.« Rev. 22:5

The thought construction that seems to keep you together as someone tangible is left at the edge of a black hole.

When your eyes are so soft that they do not focus or momentarily do not know what and where you are, there is nothing to prevent glimpses of Enlightenment to merge into one bright white light, namely the Enlightenment of that which is One. It extracts all thoughts, that you have stored to appear as someone definitive, and leave them at the edge of what may look like a black hole, so there is nobody to experience the nothingness of you gracefully falling into the formlessness of oneness.

Enlightenment is not an out-of-the-body experience as it is not an experience, but its preliminary stage of bliss and compassion, which is connected to the world via the pineal gland, is an experience that is often perceived to be out-of-the-body.

Enlightenment of that which is one is not an out-of-body experience. It is not an experience at all. But its preliminary stages of bliss and compassion, which in the world may to be connected with the pineal gland, is something that may be felt as an out-of-body experience.

Most, however, are afraid of loosing their identity, so they settle for glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One, which is like a blissful out-of-body experience – presumably linked to the pineal gland. It appears to foster states like that.

If you are not tempted to stop at this state of bliss, but to go where someone definitive cannot go, namely into the Enlightenment of that which i One, it is not an out-of-body experience. On the contrary, there is no experience at all, nor consciousness, because to be awate of something requires more than one.

If you want to leave the Enlightenment of that which is One and be reshaped as someone definitive, you must pick up the thoughts, that was left at the edge of a black hole so you could enter it as nobody.

Returning from the Enlightenment of that which is One to a world where there seems to be more than one, you cannot know, you have been at the other side of a black hole, because you were not there and there is no other side, since there is no more than that which is one. In other words, the person you appear to be is not Enlightened. Yet, due to vague memories of that which is one, you are to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One.

It is not possible though for somebody else to know, this. You will hardly grasp it yourself. But for sure you grasp, that a world where there seems to be more than one is not real.

When you thoroughly enjoy the music of the outward-facing, it reminds you of the airy music you can experience with the inward-facing senses. It is full of ethereal harmonies floating out of a black hole at the edge of the universe.

»I heard a sound from heaven like the sound of cascading waters and like the rumbling of loud thunder. The sound I heard was also like harpists playing on their harps.« Revelation 14:2, Holman Christian Standard Bible.

Being used to take a ride in the world of the inward-facing senses, that opens up when the outward-facing senses are not fully used to experience a world defined by time and space, you sense the first sentence of this quote refers to ‘Aum’ or ‘Sohang’ or ‘The Word of God,’ and that the second one to ethereal music.

»At midnight when not a single sound is heard, close your ears with both hands and do Purak Pranayama. Listen to the sounds in your right ear which are very pleasant. The first sound that you will hear is of a pine bird, the second of a flute, third of a cloud, fourth of a dragon bee, the fifth of a ringing bell and then of a gong of metal. Sounds of trumpet, drum etc. are also heard.

Except for The New Testament and Bhagavad Gita Alexius has not read religious scripts. Therefore, most of the words in the quote from Gherand Samhita are meaningless to him. But since he hears inner music himself, it is easy to pick up the essence of the quote, namely the bliss of listening to ethereal harmonies.

Besides these, many other sounds are heard if it is practiced daily. These sounds are Anahata (unproduced) and come on their own accord. Nada is related to light. Light is related to mind, so mind gets itself merged in a sound which is the seat of the Lord. Therefore, practice of Bhramari gives Siddhi of Samadhi (i.e., makes Samadhi possible).

Mind gets eightfold more pleasure in the act of meditation than Japa (repeating God’s name), eightfold more interest in Tapas (penance) than the meditation, and eightfold more interest in music or sound than the Tapas. There is nothing greater than music.« Gherand Samhita, stanzas 77-81. Besides for the word ´Nada´ meaning music Alexius does not know the meaning of all the Hindi words in this quote, but hearing inner music himself – though not so bombastic as described in this quote – he gets the overall meaning of it.

Using noise-cancelling headphones is a great way to close off the outward-facing sense of hearing. Alexius prefers in-ear headphones, though, as they can also be used when going to bed.

A practical way to stop hearing the world of the outward-fencing senses and start listening to the music of the inward-fencing senses is to put both thumbs in your ears. But you can also use a noise-cancelling headphone or an in-ear headphone. Then without focusing or trying to define anything, be nothing but the ethereal music coming to you from what may seem far away.

For tuning in, it is best not to go with the vibrations from the left ear. They often are the sounds of a busy mind. So instead, follow the harmonies that appear to come from an empty space a bit outside of the right ear. That said, do not pay too much attention to directions.

Maybe you will not hear ethereal harmonies immediately but the humming symbolised by ‘Aum’ or ‘Sohang’ or ‘The Word of God.’ If so, go with this glimpse of the Enlightenment of that which is One. It could also be that you ‘hear’ thoughts. But they will not disturb you from hearing eternal harmonies if that is what you want – nor from having visions of light, infinite sweetness or sublime intimacy.

Tasting the sweetness of oneness helps you not to focus on the world of the outward-facing senses. Thus glimpses of Enlightenment coming from the world of the inward-facing senses become the foundation for perceiving the world of the outward-facing senses. Since this, eventually, results in not perceiving the apparent differences to make a difference, there is no separation to hide that which is one. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

THE TASTE OF ONENESS
Tasting the most exquisite food, one is reminded about the taste of oneness, if not entirely in the world of the outward-facing senses. It can be compared to the transparent taste of the foam in a milkshake with a few drops of honey and maybe with a hint of either liquorice, strawberry, or mint. It can also be compared to how marshmallows – especially those with a flavour of strawberries – interact with the palate.

Some Chinese Herb Formulations or teas – for example Spring Dragon Longevity Tea – enhance the taste of oneness, provided you already are in touch with it. The same applies to the Ayurvedic teas, that Alexius have tasted and most teas including liquorice.

But it is best not to compare the taste of oneness or other glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One to anything else, as all comparisons are based on definitions from the past and, therefore, cancel out the ever-present glimpses of Enlightenment.

»Whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never be thirsty, but the water that I shall give him shall be in him as a well of water springing up into everlasting life.« John 4:10-4:14.

Even though this taste is called the nectar of life in some scriptures, you should not expect it to make you younger or inject you with more energy in the world of the outward-facing senses. Getting more is an illusion based on the belief that there is more than that which is One.

One way of undoing this belief is not to focus because without it, the apparent differences in a world where there seems to be more than one become blurred. Thus different appearances do not seem to hide, there is no more than the formlessness of that which is one. Fortunately, the side-effect of doing the technique for the taste of oneness is defocusing.

The inner sense of taste not only stops the compulsive focusing on forms but also your cravings for sweets and to experience  something definable. The taste of life is always there and it is free. Neither do you have to meditate or be pure to consume it. All you have to do is to put your tongue behind the uvula. And if you cannot do that, it is also OK, because doing so is just meant to help you deactivating the outer senses and the only thing that really accomplish that, is the intention to do it. Just like even you are at a springboard, you will not dive from it, if that is not your intention of going there.

The inward fasing sense of taste does not only diminish the compulsive focusing on something definitive but also your cravings for more, for example sweets. The taste of oneness is always there. It is free, and you do not have to meditate or be pure to have it. All you have to do is to put your tongue behind the uvula and devote yourself to the taste of oneness. If you cannot get your tongue there, it is not a problem. Doing so is meant to help you deactivating the outward-facing senses and the only thing that really accomplish this, is the intention of doing it. In other words, reaching the uvula with your tongue is good enough. Actually, when you hold the underneath of your tongue on the soft area beneath the uvula you feel the empty breath (see What does ‘the empty breath’ feel like?) and get the sweet taste of oneness. This is not a metaphor, nor second-hand knowledge but Alexius’ experience from tasting the subleness of oneness on both sides of the uvula. As a result of this technique, the empty breath is activated. It expands the breathing, which makes the the body feel glorious. And the soft taste of oneness prevents you from focusing on the world of the outward-facing senses. Thus you feel absorded by the happiness of abstractness.

The taste of oneness unfolds under the tongue, when it is moved behind the uvula (the skin flap hanging down in the back of the mouth at the entrance to the throat). Placing it there makes you feel like you are not in the world even though you appear to be there. Besides it cutbacks the need to focus on the world of the outward–facing senses and also the longing for more, especially the craving for sweets. That is if you devote yourself to it – no techniques work without devotion. Yet devotion can work without a technique.

To get the tongue behind the uvula you may have to press it backwards for a long time, maybe for months, and finally use a finger to push it the rest of the way. However, this may make you feel as if you are about to vomit. No worries – it is just a feeling. When you are used to keeping your tongue there, it is easy, and there is no sense of vomiting.

»Khechari Mudra is turning the tongue backwards into the cavity of the cranium and turning the eyes inwards toward the eyebrow center.« Haha-Yoga Pradipika, Chapter 3, stanzas 32-37.

To taste the sweetness of oneness, called Khechari Mudray in the above quote, you do not have to literally replicate the ancient technique. Neither do you have to push the tongue behind the uvula as Alexius wrote above. Reaching the soft area underneath the front of the uvula with the backside of the tongue will do. THERE IS NO WAY TO THE ENLIGHTENMENT OF THAT WHICH IS ONE BUT A LOT TO GLIMPSES OF IT
The
way to bid welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One or glimpses of its four facets is not to be pure. Neither is it about how you breathe, eat or anything else you appear to do in the world of the outward-facing senses. Still, things like that may be helpful to deactivate the outward-facing senses.

But no technique can do that if it is not the intention of executing it. In other words, the first step is solely about purpose. If that is to deactivate the outward-facing senses, many techniques may work. The second step is to devote yourself to the lucid journey in the world of the inward-facing senses.

These steps only apply to having glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One and not to welcome in its entirety, as it takes more than one to take any step.

The part of the world of the outer senses you want to experience is not meant to be blurry but in focus, so what you see is definable. It is the other way around with the world of the inner senses,. In other words, the two worlds does in most cases not work well together. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

The part of the world of the outward-facing senses you want to experience is not supposed to be blurry. It must be in focus to make the experience is definable. It is the other way around in the world of the inward-facing senses. Your experiences there are abstract. Hence mixing the two worlds does not work out.

DAILY LIFE WITH GLIMPSES OF THE ENLIGHTENMENT OF THAT WHICH IS ONE
It is probably best not to be active in the world of the outward-facing senses while having visions of light. This is because the visual glimpses of Enlightenment can become so intense that the world of the outward-facing senses hardly is sensed.

However, the technique for tasting the sweetness of oneness can be carried out while being active in the world of the outward-facing senses. The same applies to enjoying the ethereal harmonies if you hear them without putting your thumbs in the ears. And it also applies to hearing or feeling the vibration that Aum, Sohang and The Word of God symbolise. See Life has no secrets.

This may result in the experience of a world that seems less defined. Not to the extent, though, that you cannot move around but that you feel you are carried around.

That is, as long as you do not take the full tour of these glimpses because it ends in the formlessness of oneness, thus no longer appearing as someone in a world where there seems to be more than one, nor in oneness since that requires more than one. You are not someone at all, so there is no memory or consciousness of ever having believed to be that. Instead, there is what always has been and will be, namely that which is one.

The Hebrew word Elohim was originally a symbol for one perpetual present.

The word god, which is a translation of the Hebrew word Elohim, was at first meant to be a metaphor for that which is one and never ends. Hence the word god was originally a symbol for one perpetual present. As this is not understandable, when you believe to be in a world of linear time, the meaning of the word gradually was changed, so that god became a symbol for one almighty force believed to have created the world defined by time and space in its own image.

But what is not definable cannot create something definable. Hence a world defined by time and space is an illusion and so is the perceived creator of such a world.

APPENDIX ABOUT THE QUOTES
The terminology of yoga and so-called holy scriptures – apart from The New Testament and Bhagavad Gita – is unknown to Alexius, so he does not know the scriptures from which the quotes in this article are taken. He found them by searching the internet.

When everything is included, there does not appear to be something outside you. Consequently, nor inside, as that requires there is something outside you. Hence there is nothing but the formlessness of oneness.

Alexius does not sympathise with Eastern or Western religions or new age philosophy. Generally, they exclude what they judged as wrong by projecting it onto non-believers to make them tainted and themselves pure. Yoga, for example, is often based on meditation, where you must exclude something deemed evil to become one. But oneness is formless, thus endless, so you can neither add nor subtract from it. If you try to do that, you enhance the belief that there is more than that which is One.

Prologue to the inward-facing senses, Enlightenment and its glimpses

It takes more than one to have a vision, so no matter how impressive it may be, it is not the Enlightenment of that which is One but glimpses of it. It is comparable to a movie trailer, a sample of the whole, thus not undivided. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

The world of the outward-facing senses is experienced via seeing, hearing, feeling and tasting/smelling something that seems physical. The world of the inward-facing senses can also be seen, heard, felt and tasted. However, you do not get a sense of something tangible but abstract. It is also here that you bid welcome the Enlightenment of that which is One.

It comes through a hole that sometimes seems black. See the article The ins and outs of a black hole. But following the light into it is the end of both the outward and inward-facing senses. Hence the experience of something is over. Therefore, if you are aware of something, you are not in the Enlightenment of that which is One but outside, having glimpses of it via the inward-facing senses.

If you for a moment forget what and where you are you are, a world where there seems to be more than one does not seem to hide the enlightenment of that which is One.

You get inside the Enlightenment of that which is One when the glimpses of it are not perceived to differ because then is no separation to define you as someone definitive. Hence there is not somebody to fight the construction of thoughts that have replaced the formlessness of oneness with someone definitive is extracted by an exceptionally bright white light. Nor is there anybody to be aware of that everything you ever believed to be and have is gone. Consequently, there is nothing to gracefully fall through the hole that is no more because there is no experience to hide the formlessness of oneness.

Therefore, since what you believe in being has not been Enlightened, you appear to be the same if returning to the experience of being someone definitive. However, you do not believe this experience is real due to vague memories of formlessness. Hence you are to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One.


Since the Enlightenment of that which is One has no beginning and end, someone definitive cannot experience it. But glimpses of it – for example travelling through lucid worlds of light – have a beginning and an end, so they can be experienced by someone definitive. This is done through the inward-facing senses, when the outward ones are toned down.

The outward and inward-facing senses
The outward-facing senses are geared to experience a world perceived as outside you, thus separated from you, whereas the inward-facing senses help you experience a world that does not seem to be separated from you. But it does not mean this world is inside you. There is neither anything inside nor outside of you, as that requires more than one, and there is no more than that which is one.

It is the same within the context of a world where there seems to be more than one, because, scientifically speaking, it consists of empty space. Therefore, what you experience is make-believe – also reading reads that it may be easier to undone this deception by turning down the volume of the outward-facing senses, and turning up the volume of the inner ones.

If you seem to see an E here, you are using the E, you have made in your mind, to hide all the empty space.

If you believe in seeing an ‘E’ here, you focus on seeing something recognisable to twist empty space into something. The empty space is not the formlessness of oneness, but when you do not imagine it is a world defined by time and space, no substantial elements seem to hide the formlessness of oneness. PARTIAL DEVOTION TO THE INWARD-FACING SENSES RESULTS IN GLIMPSES OF ENLIGHTENMENT
If you do not constantly focus on something specific, the outward-facing senses cannot fabricate the experiences of a world defined by time and space. Therefore, the more you defocus, the more the definable world of the outward-facing senses is complemented by the abstract world of the inward-facing senses. Thus you get glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One. You see light shows if you are visual-minded, hear ethereal music if you are auditory minded, and taste or feel it if you are emotional minded.

The purpose of the inward-facing senses is to draw you into their abstract world, thus undoing the belief of being someone definitive – like a moth cannot help but follow its attraction to the flame, even though it is going to be the end of it.

Mixing something is based on the belief in separation, so do not try to mix glimpses of light with glimpses of ethereal music, for example. Just welcome the glimpse of the Enlightenment of that which is One that seems to come your way. But do not try to hang onto a glimpse or to have it repeated. If it changes into another aspect of the Enlightenment of that which is One, go with that.

These glimpses, as already noted, are not the Enlightenment of that which is One because it has no room for someone being conscious of something since that requires more than one. This does not mean what you believe in being is transformed by the Enlightenment of that which is One into oneness. Instead, it is dismissed as an illusion.

Practically speaking, it might be best to downplay the visual glimpses of Enlightenment in daily life. It is because you will have a hard time navigating the world of the outward-facing senses while having visions of light. But in most cases, you can safely go with glimpses of hearing, feeling or tasting hearing, feeling or tasting the Enlightenment of that which is One.

The healing of the body caused by partly being devoted to the inward-facing senses is a side effect that helps you not worry about its appearance and inevitable end. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

THE INWARD-FACING SENSES AND THE BODY
Devotion to the inward-facing senses will heal your body because it will give the body the peace it needs to heal itself. This may not include genetically caused diseases, though. However, due to the tranquillity, the inward-facing senses entail, a genetically created condition does not generate fear. Thus it is easier to deal with (see hack #4.3 The toxic mix of physical and non-physical issues).

But suppose the body’s wellbeing is the purpose of devoting yourself to the inward-facing senses. In that case, you cannot be attentive to the world of the inward-facing senses since that requires having no specific focus, so the world of the inward-facing senses fades out without you even noticing it. Thus the body is not being nurtured by it.

TOTAL DEVOTION TO THE INWARD-FACING SENSES BIDS WELCOME THE ENLIGHTENMENT OF THAT WHICH IS ONE
Complete devotion to the inward-facing senses welcomes the Enlightenment of that which is One, which immediately erases all memories of you being someone definitive. As you are not there anymore and never were, there is nobody to know how long time this takes. Besides, the Enlightenment of that which is One is not a process but one perpetual present.

But at first, it may seem to be a process, and as long as that is the case, the brain that produced your experiences as someone definitive is not finished. Thus it can be rebooted and recreate the experience of you as someone definitive. But since it takes more than one to be anything, the reestablished experience cannot contain the Enlightenment of that which is One. So although you are to be compared to the Enlightenment of that which is One, you look like you used to. The only difference is that you know it is not you.

However, as soon as the Enlightenment of that which is One does not seem to be a process, the brain cannot be rebooted and, therefore, not produce the experience of you as a substantial being in a tangible world. Hence there is nothing to hide that which always has been and always will be that which is you, namely the formlessness of oneness. There is, of course, nobody to be aware of this since it takes more than one to be conscious of something.

IS THE ENLIGHTENMENT OF THAT WHICH IS ONE REQUIRED TO UNDO THE BELIEF IN BEING SOMEONE?
The Enlightenment of that which is One can be said to be the last step back to the formlessness of oneness. Still, as formlessness is endless, you have never left it. Thus it is not about going back but realise how you hide the formlessness of oneness, namely by believing you are someone definitive.

As already mentioned, the Enlightenment of that which is One does that in a split second. But it can also be achieved while enjoying the world of the outward-facing senses. In the below box, there are some suggestions on how to do this:

The more you perceive the apparent differences in the world of the outward-facing senses to not make a difference, the more the outward-facing senses function as a set-off to that which is One (hack #3.2 Inclusiveness is freedom).

The same applies to pretending to be someone definitive (hack #1.3 Pretending to be someone definitive is liberation or seeing symbols of life in the world (hack #2.1 Everything experienced is a symbol of life).

And it also applies to being alone together, which does not mean that you are together with one or more who also are alone, but that you are alone together with your fantasy of a world where there seems to be more than one, no matter how many there seem to be around you (hack #7.1 Alone together, we go home).

The empty breath (HACK #5, A state of not-knowing is nothing but bliss) syncs the outward-facing senses with the inward-facing ones, so you over time are able to devote yourself so much to the glimpses of Enlightenment that they do not seem separated, wherefore the Enlightenment of that which is One sets in.

You do not even need Alexius’ Duality Hacks to have the belief in being someone undone. All that is necessary is not to remember what and where you are because then there is no belief in being someone definitive that appears to hide the formlessness of oneness.


There is no experience of love without the experience of hate, because you cannot know one without the other. Multitasking allows you to experience both emotions simultaneously, and so hate is as blissful as love. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

The reason that so many avoid multitasking is that it leaves them no time to suppress anger and other feelings messing up the perfect image of themselves as somebody full of peace, compassion, inner strength and whatnot.

What they do not know, when keeping a specific feeling hidden – hate for example – is that they diminish the experience of its contrasts – in this case love – because you cannot have one without the other. See hack #4.4 The duality flow goes to non-duality.

Least of all do they know that when both sides of a contrast are equally acknowledge, their apparent difference makes no difference. Thus loving somebody is as blissful as to hate them.

Here the world of the inner senses are about to shift to bright white light, which is gonna extract all the info you have collected in order to appear as somebody and leave it at the edge at a black hole so that there is nobody to fall into the nothingness of that which is one. This is not compatible with appearing in a world, where there seems to be more than one, so if that is what you want, you better make sure the info making up your personality is not extracted or you know where to find it again. There is no transition from seeing glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One and getting into it. And since it is one perpetual present, you do not know when it extracts all the info making you appear as someone definitive so that nothing is sucked into a black hole where it gracefully falls into the formlessness of oneness. This is not compatible with appearing as someone definitive in a world defined by time and space, so if that is what you want, you better make sure that the info making up your appearance as someone definitive is not extracted which you prevent by going with the flow of fear. However, there is no fear in that which is One. It is impossible as it would require more than one. But it seems possible to imagine there is more than one, and going with the fear that this entails, you seem to leave it and instead be in a world where there seems to be more than one. MULTITASKING THE INWARD AND OUTWARD-FACING SENSES
Much devotion to the world of the inward-facing senses probably makes you spaced out in the world of the outward-facing senses. Yet, if you do not have to be present there, you go with the flow of the inward-facing senses, as if the world outside of you stands still.

But suppose you have to do something demanding in the world of the outward-facing senses. In that case, it is best to only devote yourself to that, so the abstractness of the inward-facing senses does not mess it up.

However, you can also multitask between the inner and outward-facing senses so that being loaded with glimpses of Enlightenment in the world of the inward-facing senses makes you indifferent to the constant demands in the world of the outward-facing senses.

When you multitask the world of the inner and outward-facing senses, thoughts are not considered to be yours. Thus nobody is going anywhere, even though it may appear so.

Multitasking is said to disturb the brain so that it is harder for it to focus on something specific. That is why it is beneficial regarding undoing the belief in being someone definitive  – especially the multitasking of the inner and outward-facing senses, which happens all by itself when connected with the empty breath. This is not a new religion or philosophy, that you must learn and strictly adhere to. On the contrary. It is about unlearning everything, so do not try to make sense of what you read.

A perfect moment with glimpses of enlightenment is something you are aware of. If you stop being aware of it, you cannot see any glimpse. There is nothing and that is where the enlightenment of that which is one sets in. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

WHERE DO GLIMPSES OF ENLIGHTENMENT COME FROM
Physically speaking, glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One seem to originate from a non-defined space behind the frequencies of thoughts near the pineal gland. It is probably also from there that you perceive the world when you are in a state of not-knowing.

The same applies when you pretend to be a person or perceive everything in the world as symbols of that which is One. The empty breath – sounding like sohang – is presumably picked up from there as well, physically speaking.

Furthermore, the pineal gland might work as a receiver for signals picked up by the eighth chakra, which has a magenta colour and is located above the head. Maybe the pineal gland or the eighth chakra is involved when experiencing glimpses of Enlightenment. You cannot know because you are blown out of the experience – and afterwards, you do not know where to look. And this is fine because focussing on the pineal will not bring about any of the above. It contracts the energy, so you feel boxed in as someone definitive. On the other hand, defocussing removes restrictions wherefore you do not feel limited to being someone specific.

‘A state of not-knowing,’ and how to get there [draft]

Everything believed to be a fact is made up by the brain. It is, for example, not a fact that you see this picture now. It has taken the brain one second to fabricate this experience. Hence what you believe in seeing, you saw in the past. And then again, there was no picture one second ago. It is a fantasy of the brain made from nothing to make it look like you are something. TWISTING EMPTINESS INTO SOMETHING EXCITING
The brain claims your experiences are
founded on information from the sensory system. You gladly accept this because otherwise, it is evident that the brain fabricates your experiences. Consequently, nothing you see consists of tangible elements but intangible thoughts. See Eyes do not see.

You may have noticed that even with your eyes closed, the brain can produce vivid images that look like the world you see with open eyes. And it does not require you to be sexually stimulated by something in the physical world to produce an orgasm while you are dreaming. The substantiality of what and where you believe to be is a fantasy synthesised by the brain from nothing. For example, after watching several movies in a row, the brain pieces their different work of fiction into one continuous story that feels so exciting that you forget it is fantasy.

This is because whether experiences are perceived as yours or others, real or imagined, authentic or fake, fabrication or factual, physical or spiritual, they are processed by the brain in one higgledy-piggledy by the same organ. It views everything it processes as another construction of thoughts that needs to be shaped into something so engaging that you do not notice it is a fantasy created from nothing. Nor does the brain want you to see that it is as immaterial as the experiences it produces to appear as something in someone who believes the experiences establish it as someone substantial in a tangible world.

Those who want to be in a merry-go-round world may first like to read about the bliss of a state of not-knowing. But when they realise the bliss comes from not believing to be someone definitive, they avoid a state of not knowing by making sure to perform as somebody definitive – for example, saying, »I need time to process it.«Photo © Alexius Jorgensen

A STATE OF NOT-KNOWING
Since every experience you are aware of has taken the brain one second to manufacture, the origin of what you believe to experience right now is one second away (read more about that here). Therefore, if you go back one second from your present experience, you return to the nothingness the brain has twisted into something you perceive to happen now.

In this transition from something to nothing, you see how you used to be caged by nothing disguised as something. However, your new freedom from something may feel claustrophobic because you have nowhere to hide your emotions. Fortunately, this exposes them as nothing. Hence you enter a state of not-knowing. Since it is like falling into an unsubstantial body, you neither feel physical nor integrated with higher frequencies. There is no need to label anything.

However, the brain goes on like before, producing experiences of something. But since what you believed in being cannot be recalled in a state of not-knowing, there is nobody to perceive the apparently different experiences to make a difference. That is why you are in the bliss of nothing, which is nowhere because the brain has not rendered it into something. There is nobody to be aware of this until you return to the conscious experience of being someone definitive, and vague memories of it pop up.

In other words, everything said in Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings about a state of not-knowing is based on Alexius’ memories. And though a state of not-knowing is impersonal, memories are personal, so Alexius’ memories may be different from yours, Like two persons drinking the same tea may often remember it differently, although the tea is the same.

In a state of not-knowing, your eyes may be closed or open. Perhaps you sit in a bus or a park, walk down a noisy street, talk a lot or are silent. Everything is normal, and thoughts go on as usual since what and where you appear to be is a construction of thoughts. There is one difference, though. The brain feels it has failed if you do not participate in its fiction of something by continuously sharing your reaction to the experiences it produces with someone internally or externally. So, if you do not verify the brain’s fabrication of nothing as something for 20 minutes, 45 at most, it gives up producing more experiences of you as someone. Thus, you cannot return to the consciousness of being someone in a world of something, nor can you continue in the bliss of nothing, as the fantasy about being someone is over.

But most likely, you leave a state of not-knowing a long time before the brain falls into a coma. And since you are returning to the consciousness of being someone definitive with a clean slate, you automatically serve the brain, thus everybody, because the brain has no personal preferences. Only in a world where there seems to be more than one, does there appear to be levels, so if you experience to be advancing through levels, the belief that there is more than that which is not being undone but enhanced.

Therefore, since this feels very adventurous, you do not need something specific but happily return to the bliss of nothing until the belief in being someone undone. You look forward to recognising oneness because you know it is impossible since that requires more than one. Instead, you enjoy what Alexius’ Duality Hacks is about, revealing that what you perceive to experience as something is nothing.

Since realising this requires more than one, it is only possible in a world where there seems to be more than one, and since it is a world of linear time, this is a process over time. But you do not wonder when it is over because you know time is an illusion. The willingness to realise that is often initiated by admitting that you are not willing to recognise that what you believe to be is nothing. By acknowledging this, you agree that what you appear to be is make-believe and, therefore, not that which is you.

Having glimpses of Enlightenment, you stick to one aspect of it at a time. So if you feel it, you do not try to see it. Yet, if visions of it start to take over, you go with that. Suppose you do not try to divide your vision into different shapes. In that case, you will not see patterns and colours in the visual glimpses of Enlightenment but one bright light  It sucks out everything you believe to be so that there is nothing to gracefully fall through a black hole into that which is One  Read more about that here. GLIMPSES OF ENLIGHTENMENT IN A STATE OF NOT-KNOWING:
In a state of not-knowing, you may have glimpses of Enlightenment. But they are not the Enlightenment of that which is One – just like a movie trailer is not the movie that it shows samples of. As you may have read several times, the Enlightenment of that which is One cannot be experienced because it requires more than one to be aware of something. But you can see, hear, feel or taste glimpses of it. The glimpses do not blend in with the physical world because they are experienced with the inward-facing senses and the physical world with the outward-facing ones. Read more about that here.

In other words, the visual glimpses of Enlightenment do not lighten up a room. On the contrary, it makes it impossible to see it. And even though the ethereal harmonies are the most subtle polyphony of bell-like sounds, they do not mix with church bells or any other mundane sound. That is why you better block out glimpses of Enlightenment when driving a car or doing something else that calls for your focus in the world of the outward-facing senses.

Since we are used to perceiving experiences as they come from outside, we perceive glimpses of Enlightenment to come from inside or another world. But this is not so. Instead, glimpses of Enlightenment come from a gap in nothing almost unprocessed by the brain. And the experiences perceived to be outside of us are nothing twisted into something by the brain.

Anyway, if you forget to perceive the splashes of light in different shapes and colours or to differentiate the ethereal harmonies from each other, the glimpses of light or sound fuse into one light or sound in which you graciously keep falling through empty space until it has emptied you and there is nothing to reunite with that which is One. The same applies to feeling or tasting glimpses of Enlightenment.

Getting into a state of not-knowing is as easy as told, but since we all are in the habit of looking for a solution in the experiences we perceive as something, we may get lost in them, thus feeling hopeless. Super because there is so much energy in hopelessness that unedited will ignite a take-off into the empty breath.

HOW TO ENTER A STATE OF NOT-KNOWING:
Any duality hack, except the Enlightenment of that which is One, will eventually take you back one second to the emptiness from where the brain imagines something that Alexius’ Duality Hacks expose as nothing. Thus you are no longer in the frustration of something but in the bliss of nothing.

When you feel speedy and restless, you apply hack #5.1 Uncontrolled speed leads to a state of not-knowing. But if you feel tired, pretending to be that is perhaps the better choice of a hack because what you pretend to be is not you (see hack #1.3 Pretending to be someone definitive is liberation).

If you tend to justify everything unpleasant with the world, perceiving everything as symbols of oneness could be the hack to apply. In this case, Alone together is also a good hack. Please be aware that the purpose of Alexius’ Duality Hacks is not to heal the body but the sick belief that you are in it. That said, the more this unhealthy belief is healed, the more the body is set free from your dominance. Hence the biological system is not blocked from repairing the body. Nevertheless, it may be helpful to kickstart this with nootropics for boosting the brain, Blackroll for relaxing the muscles, weightlifting for toning them and far-infrared heating pads for deep bodily relaxation. If you try to return to a state of not-knowing by replicating the last one, you will not enter it because what you intend to replicate is memories, and contrary to a state of not-knowing they are perceived to be something. If you use second-hand knowledge of how to get the bliss, you become the special self, and since it is very serious about realising itself and a state of not-knowing is selfless, you will not enter it.

EPILOGUE:
The experience of you as someone in a tangible world only can only be exposed as a hallucination if you are willing to have the belief in being someone undone. If having that willingness, the undoing occurs when you keep reading Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings. Do not expect them to save you or give you something because it takes more than one to do so, and there is no more than that which is One since it is formless, thus endless. But as they, therefore, do not result in something but nothing, they automatically hack the belief in being someone.

Hack #6.1 From the inward-facing senses through a black hole into that which is One does that once and all. The others hacks do it over time. They help you not be special but basic, so you do not look for something extraordinary but have fun in a world of duality while having the belief in being and having more than one undone.

It may not always be the experience that the empty breath is your best friend because it does not help you regarding what and where you like to be. It is not easy to explain the transparent flow of bliss that the empty breath entails because it comes from the absence of experiencing being someone.

Connecting with the empty breath, you do not aim to go higher but to fall into the bliss of nothing.

Why is nothing so blissful? Because without something there are no problems!

When connected with the empty breath, what you seem to receive from the world is always the same because you receive what you give and give what you have, namely the indifference of the empty breath.

Feeling the connectedness with the empty breath, you smile regardless you win or not because, in the flow of the empty breath, you are indifferent to becoming and getting more.

To be loved is a need that comes from the perception that differences make a difference. But since the empty breath is indifferent to differences, being loved does not make a difference when connected with it.

The function of the empty breath is not to improve the apparent condition of what and where you appear to be. That would be a replacement of one illusion with another. Instead, its function is to facilitate the undoing of the belief that there is more than that which is One.

Being connected with the empty breath, you are indifferent to the apparent differences in a world where there seems to be more than one – just like you are indifferent to the experienced differences in the world of a movie or a computer game because you know they are make-believe.

If something seems to bother you, use the frustration to ignite a take-off into the empty breath so you can see what you judge as something terrible is nothing. See Take-offs into the empty breath.

The empty breath is a life jacket you got from that which is one when you left it to be and have more than one. Of course, this is a metaphor because you have never left oneness since it is formless, thus endless. Yet, it seems possible to imagine not being there but in a world where there seems to be more than one.

This life jacket, the empty breath, loves you unconditionally. Thus it is not bothered by what and where you believe to be. Actually, it does not even know this fantasy. It can only be shared by those who want to be somebody definitive. And the empty breath has no way of being something because it is nothing, thus seeing nothing.

Thus being connected with the empty breath, every experience of something is perceived as nothing. Of course, this does not mean that you do not do anything about a broken leg, for example. But since it is seen as nothing, you do not add worries to your broken leg. Therefore, since changing or transforming something or somebody does not seem appealing, you have a laid-back life with the empty breath.

Taking deep breaths or, in any other way manipulating the breath is not beneficial when connecting with the empty breath because doing so enhances the belief in being someone in charge. The same applies to being centred, balanced, focused or something else.

It is the willingness not to hold back thoughts that connects you with the empty breath. The uncontrolled energy of thoughts ignites a take-off into the empty breath, whether you walk, sit, talk or whatnot. See Take-offs into the empty breath.

Unconfined thoughts or feelings repeatedly shoot off several at a time to ignite a take-off into the empty breath. But you stop them from doing that by defining them, so you can remain in the illusion of being someone definitive.

The more you limit yourself to being someone definitive, the more you feel like you will collapse. To prevent that, you improve your definition until you feel so constrained that you burst into anger or stop giving a shit about holding yourself together. Thus the uncontrolled energy of the suppressed thoughts and feelings ignites a take-off into the empty breath. However, it does not help you escape your cage but the belief that you are in it.

What you see on the screen is on a hard disk with nothing but zeros and ones disguised as something. Yet, it is not before the combination of zeros and ones is processed by an app into what appears to be on the screen that the nothingness of the hard disk is experienced as a tangible world that you can change.

The empty breath, which in this context is unprocessed zeros and ones, does not know that you assign special meaning to the nothingness on the screen, which, in this context, is the world, so that you appear to be someone experiencing something instead of emptiness.

All that the empty breath knows is that there is no more than the formlessness of that which is One. Thus all that it wants is to breathe nothing but emptiness into what you believe to be and see so that there does not seem to be something hiding, there never was or will be more than that which is One since it is formless, thus endless.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

If the present stream of thoughts or feelings is not manipulated or suppressed, its natural energy ignites a take-off into the empty breath. You can make up stories of love or anything else in its presence without feeling deceitful to the empty breath because it sees the world where you believe to be as a blank computer screen. So although the stories you fabricate seem to disclose something, the screen remains empty.

In other words, it does not matter how you perceive the experiences produced by the brain when you are with the empty breath. You do not need the happiness from being in sync with the brain. You are in the bliss of nothing until you define it as something.

No worries, having been with the empty breath for just a split second, the slate is wiped clean. Thus you return to interacting with a world that appears to be outside of you with the perception, it is what it is.’ This perception makes you feel on the beat regardless of how you experience something.

That is until you judge specific experiences as better by not perceiving your reaction to them as ‘it is what it is’ but ‘I know what it is.’ Read more about those perceptions in hack #4.2 The brain’s script and how to perceive it to feel happy. However, this does not make you feel on the beat because hardly anything goes your way. Fortunately, if not handling this frustration, its untamed energy ignites a take-off into the empty breath.

In this way, you can go back and forth between the conscious experience of something (read more about that here) and the bliss of nothing (read more about that here) until you forget to disconnect from the bliss of nothing. Thus the Enlightenment of that which is One takes over and erases everything that requires more than one. Read more about that in hack #6.1 The Enlightenment of that which is One.

Since that which is One cannot be experienced, it is ignored by those who believe that something unexplainable is unreal. At best, it is imagined as a state of consciousness in which the self is transcended into a higher one. Oneness, however, has nothing to do with being in a state nor being conscious of something because that requires more than one. So does being someone. The empty breath is not about getting better health, more money, success, love or anything else, but seeing what you appear to be and have is nothing. Hence there does not appear to be something hiding the formlessness of oneness.

As you probably have read many times in Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings, it requires more than one to experience something and oneness is formless, thus endless, so every experience is fictional. Obviously, this also includes the experience of the empty breath. It is as unreal as any other experience.

Yet this experience, which is deeply rooted in an archetypical image of a never-ending rhythmic flow, slowly but surely undoes the belief that it is possible to be and have more than that which is One. Furthermore, it makes it seems unproblematic to have this belief. Not in the sense that you are not troubled by anything but indifferent to it.

If this feels confusing, do not try to get a grip on it. Instead, go with the flow of chaos until you cannot make ends meet into being someone definitive but feel as if you are about to explode, which in a sense also happens when the build-up tensions ignite a take-off into the empty breath. Since it results in a state of not-knowing, you are not bound up with the belief in being someone definitive until you leave this state and return to that belief.

Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings gladly proclaim they are nothing. So when connecting with the empty breath, for example, there is nothing to perceive the present moment as something. Though the empty breath has no need to be remembered by you, doing so is beneficial for your well-being as someone definitive and the undoing of belief in being that.

The empty breath automatically syncs the outer and the inward-facing senses, so it feels good to believe to be in a world where there seems to be more than one while it undoes that belief.

A state of not-knowing does not only come from the empty breath. It is the outcome of all duality hacks. But if the state is always the same cannot be known because nobody is conscious of it.

The changeover to a state of not-knowing may seem unpleasant. This is because the brain tries to distract you from leaving its definable world by producing very tangible and disturbing experiences, making you feel attacked and thus as if you are someone definitive. Following the empty breath, you automatically multitask because it does not know the concept of focusing on something specific. So when you do not feel the empty breath, multitasking will make you feel it.

 

Entering a state of not-knowing (see ‘A state of not-knowing,’ and how to get there) only takes a second. It happens automatically when you have lost all hope of fixing your problems because that makes their uncontrolled energy ignite a take-off into the empty breath. When you leave a state of not-knowing, the slate has been wiped clean (see The after-effect of a state of not-knowing). Therefore, since you perceive everything as ‘it is what it is‘ (see hack #4.2 The brain’s script and how to perceive it to feel happy), you have nothing to hope for. Thus, you are free.

When you hike, you need to take a break once in a while from the adventurous experiences. And so you do when in the conscious experience of being someone. Thus you connect with the empty breath to enter a state of not-knowing. And leaving it, you start renewed – or rather re-established – because the slate has been wiped clean.

PREFACE:
Since the bliss of nothing that sets in when connected with the empty breath is a state of not-knowing, it is impossible to connect with it when in the consciousness of being someone definitive. Thus the connection must be established before the brain, based on signals it claims to receive from our sensory system, delivers a convincing experience of being somebody definitive in a world defined by time and space.
 

Science states that the world we believe in feeling and seeing consists of 99.9999999 per cent empty space. And the rest – despite also being empty space consisting of nothing substantial – is what we perceive as elements of matter making up a tangible world where we appear to be somebody definitive. Therefore, regardless what and where you experience in being, it is a mirage.

On account of this taking one second for the brain to accomplish, the connection with the empty breath is established by going back one second from your present experience (see how in the articles Take-offs into the empty breath, and How to ignite a take-off into the empty breath ). One second ago your present experience was nothing. It had not been processed by the brain into something. Therefore, since there is not something to define you, when you go back one second, there is no difference between your nothingness and the empty breath.

This has nothing to do with getting closer to your pure essence. You have no soul. You are nothing. Being with the empty breath, this becomes obvious. Hence you can go back as nobody in the world of something and have fun pretending to be somebody. See hack #1.3 Pretending to be someone definitive is liberation.

How to connect with the bliss of the empty breath

You connect with the empty breath by not connecting with the consciousness of you as someone definitive experiencing the tangible world that the brain spends a second fabricating from the frequencies it imagines to receive from empty space. You can compare this to not turning on a computer game because you rather want to experience the physical world – except that connecting with the empty breath is not a conscious experience but a state of not-knowing. And you have just a second to connect with the empty breath. Fortunately, it is plenty of time, provided you are willing not to attest to a world of something but be in the bliss of nothing. The empty breath sees no separation, so it has no need to connect with you, no matter what and where you believe to be. But you believe in separation, so you need to connect with it if you want to be indifferent to the belief in being disconnected. See also, You exist nowhere but in dreams, and they are not real.

Forget about being conscious of the empty breath, as what you are conscious about is never the present but the past.

When you connect with the empty breath by going back one second from your present experience to the nothingness from where it was processed into something by the brain, the unprocessed moment is extended into a state of not-knowing. In this state, you do not pick up on the brain’s deceptive fabrication of you as someone living in a capsule of time and space. Thus you are in the bliss of nothing.

However, this state cannot last more than 20 minutes, 45 at most, at a time if you want to return to a conscious experience of being someone definitive. When the experiences of something produced by the brain from signals perceived to come from empty space no longer are confirmed as real by the self, created from the same nothingness, the brain feels abandoned. Thus it falls into a coma.

But if you do not want to appear as a separated being anymore, you do not mind the brain falling apart, so it no longer can map out empty space as if you are someone definitive in a tangible world. Hence there is not something that appears to hide, there never was or will be anything but oneness since it is formless, thus endless.

So regardless you want to remain as someone definitive or not, a state of not-knowing induced by the empty breath is bound to end pretty soon so that the consciousness of being someone definitive can be resumed or tcompletely erased.

No need to worry about having your consciousness totally erased by accidentally staying too long in a state of not-knowing. First of all, hardly anybody comes to the point where the brain starts falling apart, and should you reach that point but long to be someone, fear of survival will set in. This is enough to reboot the brain and bring you back to the experience of being someone definitive, where they forget a state of not-knowing until blissful memories emerge.

Is it the bliss of the empty breath that undoes the belief in being someone definitive, or is it the undoing that connects you with the bliss of the empty breath? But since this question arises from the belief in being someone definitive, an illusion fabricated by the brain, an answer would make the fantasy real. The same applies to asking who has invented this illusion or who chose to undo the belief in being someone. If this could be answered, the illusion would be real. In other words, there is no answer to anything because everything experienced is constructed from nothing. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

How not to be deceived by the brain’s experiences of something and instead drift in the bliss of nothing cannot be answered. The question is founded on the belief that you are someone definitive, and the bliss of nothing comes from the indifference to that belief.

Neither can it be known if it is the empty breath or being indifferent to the belief in being someone that comes first concerning the sheer bliss of nothing. The only reason somebody wants to know this – or anything else – is that they believe to be defined by what they know and want to remain like that rather than nobody in the bliss of not-knowing.

Thus the above about where to find the transparent bliss of nothing, entailed by the empty breath, is not an attempt to answer the question but to rule it out. The same applies to the below, which further explores the above.

IN THE BLISS OF NOTHING
Even though it only takes the brain a millisecond to register the signals, it imagines receiving from the sensory system this very moment, what you consciously experience right now happened in the past because the brain has used one second more to process those signals into a conscious experience of something it expects you to perceive as real because if not, you are exposed as nothing.

In other words, since your conscious experience of now is a delayed interpretation of nothing that it has taken the brain one second to process, what you believe to read now you read in the past – or more to the point, you never read it because one second ago there did not appear to be something covering up nothing.

When not organising thoughts and feelings into specific categories, they do not seem to represent something in a substantial world. Hence there is nothing to block out the empty breath, that does not know of such a world or that you believe to be someone there. All it knows is the nothingness from which this fantasy has been made, because it is nothing.

As this means you are never in the present but in the past, and as it is nothing, there is nobody there to perceive the apparently different experiences of something to make a difference. Therefore, since they do not establish a world where there seems to be more than one as real, it is exposed as nothing. Consequently, when going back one second in linear time from your present experience, there is not something that seems to separate you from the empty breath.

what you believe to be is the brain

The brain uses five per cent of its capacity to construct a self that, through singled out memories, feelings and imaginations, makes up an exciting story about itself, stored all over the brain as if it is you. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

Just five per cent of the brain is used to shape the conscious experience of ourselves as somebody defined by time and space. However, much more space is needed to establish this experience as real. Hence a big part of the brain is continuously occupied with thoughts about ourselves as if they are caused by a tangible world around us, thus seeming to confirm we are somebody in it. It seems that if the brain cannot deceive us into seeing something where there is nothing, it falls into a coma after 20 minutes, 45 at the most. And since all the memories we have selected to back up what we believe in being are stored in the brain, this belief is terminated.

Therefore, if you want to return to the belief in being someone, you cannot stay too long at a time in a state of not-knowing relatively. However, this is not a problem because most leave a state of not-knowing as soon as they enter it. Their urge to be someone definitive is so deep-rooted that it paves the way for the brain to break through a state of not-knowing with images of you as someone becoming and having more and more. Compared to being such an amazing person, being nobody in the transparent bliss of nothing seems uninteresting.

In the bliss of the empty breath you are indifferent to being and having more

The urge to be and have more is the cause of all suffering because more want more, so you will never be or have enough. But this is not a problem when connected with the empty breath, as it is indifferent to differences. Hence you always have enough. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

Therefore, a state of not-knowing is left by imagining you are and can do amazing things. However, it is hard work to live up to the expectations of being special, and it seldom results in the excitement you imagined. So one day, you prefer to use your frustration as a take-off into the empty breath (see how in the articles Take-offs into the empty breath and How to ignite a take-off into the empty breath ), and instead float in the bliss of nothing, that arises from the indifference to the desire of being and having something special.

The flow of the empty breath goes in all directions – up and down, back and forth, from right to left, or anywhere in between – within an irregular circle with no fixed centre or size (see the illustrations in What does the empty breath feel like?). Once having been with the empty breath, it automatically syncs the inward and outward-facing senses, regardless you have left it. Thus the sense of tranquillity in the inward-facing ones helps you get through the sense of turbulence in the outward-facing ones (see The empty breath syncs the inward and outward-facing senses).

This does not mean it will seem easier to get a new spouse, more money and whatnot in the world of the outward-facing senses, but it becomes apparent that it makes no difference what you seem to be and have. That which is you is not a limited creature stuck in a capsule of time and space but the formlessness of oneness.

Thus you probably disagree that the grey triangle is an illusion and the one partly framed by a black stroke is disconnected. But if you cover the three incomplete black circles, the grey triangle disappears, and the other one appears fragmented.

Since the brain not only decides what we see but also what we hear, feel, smell and taste, we are not free, but something fabricated and controlled by the brain into believing that we are somebody in a world where there seems to be more than one, and not the formlessness of oneness.

Consequently, there is nothing to heal but the sick belief that it is possible to be and have more than that which is One. This automatically happens when connecting with the empty breath, which takes us back one second in linear time to the nothingness from where the brain has rendered our present experience of something.

This does not mean that the empty breath is the formlessness of oneness because it takes more than one to be something. But, metaphorically speaking, it is the door to that which is One.

now is an illusion fabricated by the brain

When the brain, now and then, screens out what you see so you do not get seasick from the movement of your eyes, it fills the gaps based on memories. But as they most often have been heavily edited, the story fabricated by the brain to fill in the gaps may clash with the story of the present that others have. IN THE WORLD OF SOMETHING
You are probably not aware that now and then, throughout the day, you are blind. This is because the brain screens out what you see to prevent you from getting seasick when the eyes move. You do not notice that you are blind for two hours a day because the brain hides this by filling the gaps with visual impressions of what it imagines to be there.

In the first episodes of a new TV show, there are normally hints pointing to the forthcoming episodes, and since the brain thrives from envisaging what is going to happen next, it is captured into anticipating the future of the characters and thus enchanted by its own predictions into a state of amusement.

The writers of ´Game of Thrones´ want us to bond emotionally with the characters, so that we feel attracted to them as if they are real and not just a fantasy. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

But if the writers of the show do not comply with their own hints when inventing the next episodes, the future of the characters does not turn out as predicted by the brain. Thus the fate of the characters becomes a mystery, that the brain hopes to unravel in the following episodes, wherefore it compels you to stick with the show until the very end. In other words, it is not you but the brain that is in charge.

The predictions fabricated by the brain to fill the gaps of blindness are basically a remix of memories that have been adjusted every time they were recalled to boost the story of you as someone in a tangible world. Therefore, since it does not match how others see the same events, you conclude that something is wrong in your story or in others. Hence you start trying to correct what is judged to be incorrect.

The more you appear successful in this, the more it seems that the story can be shaped to come out with a better version of you. Yet, no matter how the story is corrected, it remains a fantasy, and so does the idea that you are the author.

Just like within the context of a world where there seems to be more than one, you are not the author of a dream. Neither are you in it nor is the dream in you. It is a deception made to look as if nothing is something.

Fortunately, the brain cannot make the empty breath look like something, so when we are in its bliss of nothing, we are not deceived by the experiences produced by the brain to perceive them as something.

In the bliss of the empty breath the belief in duality is undone

In a state of not-knowing, the brain cannot establish the everyday consciousness of you as someone definitive. However, this does not mean that your awareness as someone definitive is replaced by something better, higher or purer but by no consciousness. Thus, nobody is aware of the bliss of not believing to be someone. That is why it is like air walking in the air. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

WHEN DIFFERENT EXPERIENCES ARE NOT PERCEIVED TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE
In a state of not-knowing, you are blind in a sense that there is no conscious experience of you as someone definitive in a world where there seems to be more than one.

Thankfully this is resolved by the empty breath and not the brain. The latter continues to process what it claims to receive from the sensory system as if it is something instead of nothing. Still, since the empty breath is indifferent to the apparently different experiences of something, there is no awareness in the connectedness with the empty breath of how the brain categorises them in contrasts of good or bad, right or wrong, love or hate, within and without and so on.

So, although a world where there seems to be more than one looks the same when in a state of not-knowing, its apparent differences are not perceived to make a difference. Therefore, since there is no knowledge of being someone definitive, there is nobody to be happy, sad or anything else. This does not mean that there are no thoughts and feelings but that nobody relates them to them as if they make a difference.

The brain deceives you to fence off the bliss of the empty breath

The problems you perceive to have, do not come from the world where you appear to be but from the belief that you are there. Hence the solution to all problems is the same, namely the undoing of that belief. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

If the body, where you appear to reside, again and again, drops something, you could be defined as clumsy. If you believe this and feel guilty about it, you might want to change it.

But since every effort to improve yourself is based on the belief that there is something wrong with you, your efforts are not changing this belief but enhancing it. You secretly accept this because even though you do not like to be defined as clumsy, it is preferable to not being defined because that means you are nobody.

Yet being nobody, there is not somebody to be clumsy or something else. There is just the bliss of nothing.

In short, the connectedness with the empty breath is simply a way to overlook the apparently different experiences fabricated by the brain so that they are not judged to make a difference. Hence a world where there seems to be more than one does not appear to establish the belief in separation.

Going with the flow of the empty breath is just as easy as going with the flow of sex. The latter though does not result in the undoing of the belief in being someone definitive, unless the orgasm is used to ignite a take-off into the empty breath. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Following the flow of the empty breath is no different from following the flow of the genitals, in the sense that no thinking is needed. The result of being horny, though, is the enhancement of the belief in being someone definitive.

This is not to say that sex should be avoided (see Holding back to not ejaculate is just another physical manifestation – but without the physical thrill of it), because the exclusion of sex or anything else adds to the definition of you as someone definitive. Actually, an orgasm can be used to ignite a take-off into the empty breath, if you do not hold back, but are nothing but orgasmic.

Although the connectedness with the indifference of the empty breath eventually undoes the belief in separation, it also enhances it because it requires more than one to connect with something.

Since nothing appears to make a difference in a state of not-knowing, there is no special place to go or someone special to love. This may feel like being stuck inside an unbreakable armour of pain instead of floating in the bliss of nothing.

However, if not trying to escape this feeling of claustrophobia but being that and nothing else, there is nothing to define you as something. Thus you are in the bliss of nothing.

The same applies to choosing something. Therefore, to not enhance but have the belief in separation undone, you do not select the empty breath or anything else. And since you are nothing without the choice of something, you are in the flow of the empty breath.
