‘The duality flow’ frees you from the imprisonment of being definitive [draft]

By suppressing the feelings you dislike, you conceal those you like because everything comes in pairs in a world of duality. Therefore, since you always feel oppressed, the present moment seems blurry. You try to make up for this by preparing yourself to be present in the next moment. But it never goes as planned. If you perceive your reaction to everything as ‘it is what it is,’ there is no need to fence off seeing yourself as a monster by accusing others of being evil because this perception uncovers the beast in you contains an angel. Besides, the interaction of these opposites, and all others, reveals the duality flow. Being in that, you feel complete, so you do not need to denigrate others to feel better about yourself.

If you have chosen that falling down makes you feel angry, and if that is perceived as ‘it is what it is,’ is revealed to be paired with feeling peaceful. However, those labels are unimportant. What matters is the constant interaction between them. This is the duality flow. Following it, you feel whole. That is why you cannot help but laugh.

Being unselfish is like playing a game. You are not there. It is something you imagine. Thus every action is selfless. However, most do not want to be nobody in the game of duality. They crave to make a difference and shape the game through particular ideas of spirituality. In other words, they want to be somebody who lives their unique way, although they do not know who they are.

You feel frustrated until you stop looking for a specific appearance to make you feel better and, instead, go with the constant interaction of opposing elements. You neither stop nor start in this interplay. And you do not remain with a particular pair of opposites but in the movement between opposing elements. That is the duality flow. When you begin to follow it, sooner or later, duality is bound to stop because every beginning has an end in a world of duality.

Just before you pick up the duality flow in a new pair of opposing elements, there is a moment of nothing and, therefore, not something that seems to hide non-duality. At this moment, you might hear the sound that seemed to set off the world of duality. It is often symbolised by Aum or Sohang and, in Western religion, The Word of God. Read here how to hear it.

However, this vibration is not non-duality because it takes more than one to hear something. But when no one hears anything specific, the sound of this vibration wipes out duality.

What you need, you see without looking for it when you are in the duality flow. You are not afraid of getting upset if you miss it because you know everything comes in pairs. So your concern is complemented with unconcern, and the duality flow goes on. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

You probably already know the duality flow in a distorted version. For example, you are in the duality flow when you think, should I do this or not. But since the focus is on what you get and the duality flow has nothing specific to offer, you miss the completeness that comes from the constant interaction of opposites in the duality flow.

Unconsciously you are always in the duality flow because no matter where you look, your eyes do not settle before they have found the highest contrast. Just look at the images in this article to see that your eyes do not seek balance but the topmost contrast.

In a world of duality, everything comes in pairs of opposite that interact with each other. Therefore, since nothing is definitive, you only appear empathic if you construct an image of yourself where its counterpart, hatred, has been left out. But without it, there is nothing to define empathy, so your empathic appearance is a show.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

When you know any singular opinion or feeling is illogical in a world of duality, it is not essential to label the opposing elements in the duality pairs you encounter. So when you judge something as dangerous and see it is complemented with harmless, you do not dwell upon those opposing perspectives but the interaction between them – just like it is neither up nor down but the interaction between those opposites, that is like the thrill of playing yoyo.

In the duality flow, you do not feel something specific. That is why it goes to non-duality. In other words, not looking for something, you are in the duality flow on the way to non-duality. This does not mean everything becomes one. But that, eventually, everything is gone. Actually, it never was there because it takes more than one to be somewhere. The same applies to what you believe in being.

If the feelings hidden in the body are not unveiled before dying, you will panic because there is nothing physical to conceal them anymore. The same applies regarding entering the Enlightenment of that which is One.

Before Alexius started following the duality flow, he was mostly into connecting with the empty breath and having glimpses of the Enlightenment of that which is One. He still is because he likes the time out of duality that this entails. But in between, he enjoys the duality flow. It is like a stroll towards non-duality where duality is undone while it seems fun to be dualistic.

You suppress your reaction to others to prevent seeing that you are not restricted by them but by your totalitarian ideas and that your revolt against the world, therefore, is misplaced.

Being fed up by living in the totalitarian environment your singular opinions have created, you say, »I rather want the duality flow.« Then you see, it is already in the interaction of breathing in and out. This does not mean you have to remember the breath to be aligned with the duality flow. Just like breathing happens by itself when you do not manipulate it, the duality flow occurs automatically when you do not restrict yourself by making singular points of view.

Going with the constant interaction of opposites, there are no singular opinions anymore. Thus you do not feel constrained but flexible, which is vitalising. In other words, since you never are stuck with a distinct feeling, you neither feel happy nor sad but enjoy their constant interaction. This will not manifest materially in something specific, but you feel complete regardless of what you get.

There is nothing that stops you from enjoying the adventure of duality, except the story you keep telling yourself about yourself because to make it real, you go your own way. What you believe in being is solely an image in the psychological sphere. It has nothing to do with the body, which feels attacked if you try to adjust it to the image you have made of yourself in the psychological sphere.

The brain fabricates the psychological sphere, the body and the world of duality. But just like you do not drive a car in the factory where it is made, you do not experience the psychological sphere, the body and the world of duality in the brain. Instead, the body is experienced to be in a world of duality outside of the body. Where the psychological zone is experienced seems more problematic because most try to integrate it with the body.

But that is not how the brain has set it up. The abstractness of psychology cannot be mixed with the solidness of physicality. The psychology sphere is airy, so nothing is definitive. Should you accept this fleetness, you have no need to use the body to make immaterial issues material. Therefore, since the body relaxes, the duality flow goes on uninterrupted, and you feel vigorous.

If you swim in the ocean, you feel the interaction of the waves outside of your body. However, the body and the waves cannot blend. The water will kill the body if it gets inside it. Likewise, the body can enjoy what is going on in the psychological sphere, but it will fight the abstractness if you try to integrate the solidness of the body.

Brain fog comes from projecting a singular psychological issue onto your body because everything comes in pairs of opposites in a world of duality, so when one part of a psychological pair is imagined to be somewhere else than in the psychological sphere, you feel blurry.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

In a world of duality, you can only experience something if it is contrasted by something else, like, for example, the past contrasts the future and vice versa. But since there is nothing to contrast now, it cannot be experienced. Fortunately, you do not wish to experience something singular when in the duality flow.

The more trouble, the more delight. If this is not so for you, you try to avoid trouble. And since it is coupled with delight, it is also averted. But if you do not fend off trouble, you can perceive it ‘it is what it is.’ Thus it opens up, and delight comes out, which after a while opens up and reveals it has trouble inside it. And so it goes until another interaction of opposites takes over, or until you, by reflex, again reject a bad feeling. Having done that, you soon feel trouble soon shows up again. But this time, you welcome it because you know it brings delight.

If you want to enter the duality flow, you have to perceive your emotions as twofold. However, most are pretty removed from their feelings, except those they blame others for making, therefore do not consider their own. Nevertheless, everyone seems to be in touch with their grievances. So if you have judged someone as stupid, you can perceive your condemnation as ‘it is what it is,’ thus having it revealed to be complemented with approval.

This twofoldness makes you laugh, and since laughter is complemented by crying, you are in the duality flow. Hence there is no need to be free from anything. On the contrary, you feel to everything.

To uphold the experience of duality, the brain needs constant communication between at least two entities perceived as different. Going with the duality flow, you meet this requirement. Hence you do not have to engage in an ongoing inner dialogue to please the brain. This is such relief.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

A movie has no power to create feelings in you, nor do you have. You have the power, though, to let the feelings play out in you without perceiving them to be caused by a movie or anything else believed to be outside of you. Doing that, you are not of the world anymore. Thus you are free to play its game which is going with the constant interaction of opposites, namely the duality flow. This you do by perceiving the response to a singular feeling in you as ’it is what it is.’ This reveals it is not singular but twofold, wherefore you are in the duality flow.

Non-duality is shapeless, thus formless and endless. Therefore, since there is no more than non-duality, dualism is a fantasy. In other words, a world of duality is not physical but mental. That is why being someone in a physical world is a mental experience. Since the duality flow does not focus on specifics, joining the flow, you eventually see duality is a fantasy made by the brain. And since a fantasy has a beginning and end, you have fun going to the end of duality when you are in the duality flow.
