Pretending to be someone, you are free because you are not, what you pretend to be

Since life is that which is One, there is no life in a world where there seems to be more than one. Hence the apparent difference between animate and inanimate objects is make-believe. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

You are not in the world where you believe to be because it requires more than one to be somewhere, and there is no more than that which is One since it is formless, thus endless.

Nevertheless, it is pretty entertaining to pretend to be in a world where there seems to be more than one.

You know, going to jail in a game is not real. Still, you may act like you are supposed to express despair in your specific culture. In colder countries, this may be said intellectually and, in warmer countries, emotionally. But regardless of your response, there is nothing honest about it. It is just something you pretend as part of playing the game – likewise, in the game of a world where there seems to be more than one.

You may wonder how to pretend. But you already know that. You just have forgotten that you act all the time. For example, here is a dialogue from the tv-show The Big Bang Theory:

»When did you guys start feeling grown-up?«

»Honestly, I thought when I got married, I would, but I still kinda feel like I’m pretending.«

If you do not try to fool yourself about being authentic, you will see that everything is pretence: being a parent, a teacher, or whatever you appear to be after having it played out in your head many times.

Since you are not what you pretend to be, appearing to be someone is not real, and neither is what you feel about it. That is why it is fun feeling grown-up, in love and whatnot.

There are no petrol stations in a game like Monopoly, so it is pretty unrealistic to drive there. Yet it is quite fun pretending to do that. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

You are too big to drive a car in a game like Monopoly. Besides, it has no steering wheel or engine. But it does not matter. You know it is make-believe when you choose to have fun pretending to be in a virtual world.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

You are not in the car if you play a game like Monopoly. It is something you pretend. Likewise, you pretend to be in a body in a world defined by time and space.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

In a game, Monopoly, the streets are marked with different colours, so it is easy to know where you are and what you have. But this knowledge is an illusion. You are not in Monopoly, and whatever you seem to hold there has no value. But you can pretend to be there making lots of money.

To make the illusion of being in Monopoly work, you must accept that the different colours represent various values, even though the colours are just painted on top of the same cardboard. You must also agree to appear as a tiny plastic car that slowly moves from street to street, as if they are far from each other, even though they are coloured squares tightly fitted together. Finally, you must submit to the goal of the game, which is to take everything from everybody so that you are the only one who has something.

That is how the game is. Without following its rules, you miss its fun. Likewise, when playing the game of more than One. It falls apart if you think we are one and should share everything in love and peace. But if you pretend to be someone separated from others, you can have fun playing the game, while having it undone because you are not, what you pretend to be.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

In a game like Monopoly, you pretend to be someone driving a specific car, but you are going nowhere. And you never get more money regardless of how much you seem to profit from others because they are not real. But it is fun to pretend everything is real.

In other words, when you realise a world where there seems to be more than one is a fantasy, it is fun pretending to be someone in it, as well as leaving it.

You are that which is One, and it takes more than one to be somewhere. Hence you cannot be in a world where there seems to be more than one. Nor can you pretend to be there, either. Nevertheless, in doing so, the belief that this is possible to be in a world where there seems to be more than one is slowly but surely getting undone. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Alexius is not a non-teacher of the Enlightenment of that which is One. It is something he pretends. And so is everything else. How could it be anything else when the world is not real? In other words, he is not authentic, spiritual, truthful, or full of compassion and love. He is nobody because there is no ‘I’ with a need to be somebody.

Pretending to be someone, you are free because what you pretend to be, you are not.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

If you feel wrong, you can undo it by pretending to be wrong because what you pretend to be, you are not.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Since it takes more than one to feel something, you can only be desperate if you believe in being in a world where there seems to be more than one. However, if you do not believe but pretend to be there, you are indifferent to what you feel, like when you pretend to be someone in a computer game. You are not there. It is impossible. But it is possible to pretend that, so you can have fun going up and down without feeling scared of the outcome.

According to traditional eastern philosophy, the world is an illusion. If so – and if you are real – you cannot be in it – just like within the context of the world, you cannot be in a computer game. But you can pretend to be there.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

You cannot decide to be that which is real because it is that which is One, and it takes more than one to choose something. But you can choose not to be in a world where there seems to be more than one by pretending to be there because where you pretend to be, you are not.

There is no life in a virtual world – only in the one perceiving it. And what is perceived as received from the virtual world is a projection of the perceiver. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

Pretending to be someone in a world encapsulated by time and space instead of believing to be there, you may look like a tourist because you are not concerned with your appearance but that which makes it possible to experience it.

That is like not being devoted to the world appearing on the screen of a computer but instead to the computer because no matter how exciting the virtual world seems, it is only there because of the computer.

However, the computer knows nothing but the zeros and ones. Hence it is unaware that an app has generated a world encapsulated by time and space from its zeros and ones and placed it on top of them. In this little fiction, the app is a metaphor for the brain and its rendering of you in a capsule of time and space and the computer for the formlessness of oneness.

Although it does not know it is used for something specific, it senses something is off. Thus it sends out an echo of itself into nowhere. It sounds a bit like the sound of AUM or Sohang. By following it, you are sure to forget the experience of a world encapsulated by time and space. So nothing seems to cover, there is no more than the formlessness of life. Read the article Life has no secrets if you want to learn how to hear or feel the vibration symbolised by AUM and Sohang.

The wise one may ask who has installed the app on the computer. The answer is nobody because it requires more than One, and there is no more than that which is One. That is what you realise when you constantly pretend to be someone in a world encapsulated by time and space because where you pretend to be, you are not. In other words, all you have to do to hack the belief that you are someone encapsulated by time and space is to pretend it. Should another hack seems better suited for you, by all means, apply that hack – or several of Alexius’ Duality Hacks.
