If you do not like how you see something, you do not love yourself because your perception is based on what you think you are. Consequently, choosing a perception that makes you feel good is in your best interest. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.
You cannot change parts of a movie to suit your taste. But you can change your perception of them, whether they happen in the present or the past. The same applies to the world. Any event, including past ones, can make you happy if you choose the appropriate perception. Therefore, if unsatisfied, you have chosen a perception that upsets you.
∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞
When not groovy, you can change your perception of whatever you believe is dragging you down. It is never too late to do that.
∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞
How you perceive the response from others depends on how you see them. That is why you perceive their response as upsetting when you see them as wrong. Therefore, if you do not want to feel disturbed by them, you correct your perception of their response to see them as right.
And since you only see what you have in yourself, which is what you believe in being, changing the perception of what you receive, you recognise you are right. See also The YOU finger and the three ME fingers.

If you look at the world with love, you feel loved because what you give, you see. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.
What you give comes back to you – not in another lifetime, but at the exact moment, you give it. That is not to be understood physically, as if you give money, you get money. It is the intention behind giving money that returns to you immediately. The sense of giving and receiving is happening in yourself, so if you want to experience being loved, love must be why you give money. In other words, when you know that you give what you want to get, your perception will be that you get what you want.
∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞
What you see is what you have because you cannot be aware of something you do not have. Therefore, if you have love, everybody is perceived as lovely. Hence you feel loved by them, no matter how they appear to respond to you.
But that does not mean you must love everything they do or say. For example, Alexius does not like his cats bringing home half-dead lizards and mice. Still, their behaviour does not change his love for them.
∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞
When blaming your parents, society or something else for having conditioned you, you become a victim of others. Therefore, since everything you do is justified by the world, you can behave in ways that otherwise would be unacceptable.
But you are not a victim of your parents, the deep state, digital tracing, climate changes, capitalism, 5G or whatnot. On the contrary, it is you who have chosen to be conditioned by the world, probably to appear innocent and live a comfortable life as a consumer who only has to ratify the decisions of others.
∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞
If you want the world to respond in a way that you define as lovingly, your self-hatred is exposed if you do not get the response you expect. However, instead of acknowledging that the world is in the eye of the beholder, most people blame it for rejecting them.

The sun can only cause the flowers to blossom because they are made to do that. They have no choice. The same applies to you, except that you have a choice regarding how to perceive the flowers. Of course, choosing a perception of the world that makes you feel good is in your best interest. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.
When you feel complete, a present is perceived as perfect. But if you feel uncertain about yourself, you look for faults and missing parts. In other words, your reaction reveals nothing about the present but about yourself.
Acknowledging the world is in the eye of the beholder, you know that what you give is what you have. And since what you receive is perceived per that, you cannot receive love if you have suppressed your hated because love is defined by it. Therefore, be thankful when others seem to upset you. They help you to see your hatred, so your love can be defined by it, thus giving and receiving genuine love. Read more about the twofoldness of love and hate here.
∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞
That the world is in the eye of the beholder does not mean you are in charge of what happens in the world but how you perceive it.
∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞
Whether you are aware of it, you always give what you want. So if you receive hatred, that is what you want. It could be because you want to acknowledge the hate in you because you cannot feel your love without it. Read more about that in Duality Hack #8 The duality flow goes to non-duality.

Do not hold back your judgments. They reveal what you need to see in yourself to feel complete in a world of duality. For example, if you perceive the shit you see as yours, it can define your purity. See Notes on the duality flow.

By focusing a lot, the goat herd can control his goats. But both the master and his followers are imprisoned by his concentration. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.
Fortunately, defocusing neutralises the differences, thus separation. For example, it disappears if you continue to look at something without focusing. Therefore there is no experience of more than one. But if you think you have unfinished business in a world where there seems to be more than one, you cannot defocus that long.
In that case, you are better off focusing on your problems so you can include them. When included, they cannot be focussed on. Hence, the more you include, the more you are in the bliss of nothing. See Duality Hack #4 Inclusiveness frees you from duality.
∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞
Multitasking is a great help not to focus. Doing several things simultaneously, there is no time to care about specifics, labelling your experiences or being result-minded. That said, sometimes circumstances in a world where there seems to be more than one require focus and a specific result.
∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞
Since focusing leads to fixation, you feel stuck in a capsule of time and space. But you are not fixed in time and space if you defocus, thus in the bliss of nothing. But of course, you focus when picking up your kids from kindergarten.
∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞
Contrary to what you may have learned, concentration is not beneficial in undoing the belief in separation because oneness is formless, so it appears hidden by what you focus on.
∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞
Focusing enhances the impression of separation, thus feeling alone. On the other hand, since defocusing blurs out everything, the impression of separation falls apart, hence feeling together.
∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞
There is nobody in a world where there seems to be more than one, so you cannot leave it if you believe in being there. However, you can have this belief undone. And since focusing is what keeps it together, defocusing undoes it.
∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

If you focus on the contrasts of this image, you probably end up deducing something, thus concluding you are someone definitive looking at something understandable. But if you defocus, the contrasts disappear, so there is nothing to understand. When you do not understand anything, you do not know what and where you are, wherefore there is no knowledge to hide that which cannot be known, namely the formlessness of oneness. It is through defocusing the words in Alexius´ Enlightened Non-Teachings comes to him. Therefore, they hack your focus if you do not try to understand them.
That said, while undoing the belief in a world of duality, you must operate within the rules of polarity. So you alternate defocusing with focusing – like Alexius, defocus when writing and focus when proofreading Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings.
Or you are non-focused when reading Alexius’ Duality Hacks and focused when implementing them in a world of duality However, being defocused does not mean you read between the lines. So if you see something there, you focus on that. In other words, to read in a defocused way is not to look for anything.
∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞
A terrific way to contrast focus with defocussing is to see everything in a world defined by time and space as symbols of that which makes it possible to focus on something specific, namely the formlessness of oneness. Perceiving the world like that, everything definable is a symbol of that which cannot be defined. Therefore, since the apparent differences in the world do not make a difference, you are defocusing.
In this way, you can have your cake and eat it too. You get the excitement of appearing to be and/or have more than that which is one, while the belief in more than one is being undone.
∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞
Since you can only send love to somebody if you believe in separation, and since that is the cause of suffering, that is what you send. Fortunately, the suffering does not reach anybody. But unfortunately, it reaches you because what you imagine sending you feel immediately.
∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞
Much concentration is needed to appear as somebody, whereas being nobody requires no concentration.

If Alexius walks in the mountains to fill himself with more experiences, he enhances the feeling of loss. Thus nothing on his walk fulfils him. But if he walks feeling satisfied, everything is fine as it is. One way to always feel pleased is to pretend it. It may seem like cheating, but everything in a world of appearances is fictitious, so why not make your story pleasant? Read more about that in hack #2 Pretending to be in a world of duality, you undo it. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.
If Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings seems to space you out, you are on the right track regarding undoing the belief in time and space. Yet, you are not on the right track if you space out on the way to pick up your kids from school because they require you to focus on differences so that you can be more than them and guide them on their journey in a world defined by time and space.
Spaced out is one side-effect of defocusing. Another one is clarity. When you are not focused on anything in particular, you do not have an ongoing internal discussion about what is right and wrong. Hence you instinctively do and say what is called for. Not because you know what to do or say, as that would require focus, but because you are in sync with the brain. See Duality Hack #6 Happiness is to be in touch with the brain.

This article states that if you feel joy, whatever you choose to do results in a joyful experience. Therefore, if you do not sparkle with joy when reading the article, your motivation for reading it is not to feel joy and use the article to ratify that the world is miserable – thereby confirming your belief that it is not you but the world causing your misery.
Unfortunately, you cannot choose to feel pleasure. It is an automatic outcome of not trying to control the world but being in sync with the brain’s script. Fortunately, you can choose not to go against that.
For example, if the brain produces images of ice cream, do not fight your desire to have one but go with it. Doing so may not lead to ice cream but, indeed, to something joyful. Because all the brain cares about is your happiness. Read about that in hack #6 The brain’s script and how to perceive it to feel happy.

In a world where there seems to be more than one, you must always choose something to uphold the illusion of separation. Therefore, not choosing anything, the illusion falls apart. That might be easier to do if you stick to being the basic self because it houses so much happiness that, sooner or later, you forget to choose. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.
You can compare the formlessness of oneness to having just one thought, thus being at peace. But the harmony is over when that thought is divided into two thoughts: one that looks like a Person and another that looks like a World. This division goes on to uphold the illusion of more than one.
Hence the thought called a World is divided into black-and-white aspects. And the thought called a Person is divided into a Judge and an Executioner. Hereafter a World causes a Person to have black or white experiences. Then a Judge deduces which ones are right and wrong, and an Executioner punishes the wrong ones.
When that is carried out, the Person feels good because it is off the hook. Someone else is guilty of the mess that separation seems to entail. Read more about projections here. But since this arrangement sets other divisions in motion, the relief is short-lived. So, again and again, the interaction of Person, World, Judge and Executioner is used to make someone else look bad and yourself good.
But since oneness is formless, it cannot be divided into more than one, except in fantasy. Thus everything in the above division is happening internally in one Person that projects parts of the fiction onto something perceived as external. For example, what feels wrong in a Person is projected onto something perceived as evil in a World outside a Person, such as immigrants, the deep state or communists. The Judge may be projected onto a god, parent, boss, or lover. And perhaps society is seen as the Executioner.
The Executioner is probably the hardest to bring back to your awareness as a part of ourselves. It is violent and unbendable, and we like to believe we are tolerant, however not of the Executioner in ourselves. But you must stand by the basic ingredients in your fantasy of division, person, world, judge and executioner, to undo it. If you have not included the Executioner, you will project it onto the Enlightenment of that which is One, thus fearing it and assuming it will destroy you. Read more about the fear of Enlightenment here.
That said, it is impossible to fantasise about something specific because oneness is formless. Besides, since that means oneness is endless, there is nothing but that which is One. Therefore, the above explanation is as fictitious as anything else involving more than one. However, in the context of the belief that there is more than one, Alexius makes up stories to help you realise they are as fake as everything else experienced since it takes more than one to be aware of something. With that in mind, Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings continue with the brain’s fantasy of you as someone in a world where there seems to be more than one.
∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞
Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings are not accompanied by soft music with sounds from whales, pictures of rosy lotus flowers, promises of a better world, fantasies of unconditional love, higher states of consciousness or other conceptual attributes of duality. Alexius’ Enlightened Non-Teachings have nothing to give. That is why they undo the belief in being and having more than One.

- In reality, there is no more than that which is One, and since it takes more than one to choose or love something, there is nothing to choose or love. However, this article is written within the framework of a world where there seems to be more than one, thus something to choose from.
