There is no more than One

A form needs to be confirmed as real by perceiving other forms around it.

In a world where there seems to be more than one, everybody has a look of their own and meets someone else with a look they like.

However, there is nowhere to go in oneness and no one to meet since that requires more than one. And since it also takes more than one to be peaceful or anything else, oneness is not anything specific. This is very frustrating if you want to be something definitive, spiritual for example, because to manifest it, you need to perceive somebody else seeing you like that. But since there is no more than that which is One, there is nobody but you unless you imagine being in a world where there seems to be more than one.

This is a bumpy fantasy. Something always has to be united so you can uphold the feeling of being spiritual because, in a world where there seems to be more than one, everything is separated.

Revolting against your parents, your perception of the world is founded on your judgment of them. Therefore, you become an anti-version of them, you and your parents are two sides of the same coin. The same applies to being detached from the world. It is based on what you think you are removed from. And it also applies to the idea of not being physical but spiritual.

To make long short, when you try to escape the world, you are still part of it. That is until you stop believing your experiences prove you are someone there. If you, instead, pretend to be there, you are not part of the world because where you pretend to be, you are not. Just like you, within the context of such a world, not are someone in a computer game, as it is something you pretend to be.

You want to avoid the personality because you think it is an illusion – and you are right – but it is also an illusion to avert an illusion.

The formlessness of oneness seems claustrophobic when the belief that it is possible to be and have more than that which is One is cherished.

When you do not try to solve something, there does not seem to be more than one. Hence the belief that it is possible to be and have more than that which is One falls apart. This does not mean you should not try to solve something if you want to have this belief undone. But that you should pretend to be someone solving something because what you pretend to be, you are not. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Teenager Post #11156 (from the internet): »When I was little, I thought the moon was following me when I was in the car.«

As a grown-up, you have learned to correct this experience. Also, seeing a street getting narrower at the end, or the world as flat. If you have not learned to correct these and many other experiences, you would not be able to navigate a world defined by time and space.

In the above teenage post, there is a fundamental experience that needs to be corrected if you do not want to be terminated when the brain stops functioning. There is no ‘I’ which sees something (read more about that here). It is a construction of thoughts (read more about that here) that vanishes when the brain runs out of oxygen. In the states, before that, it may present abstract images of you as if going through tunnels of light. But it is only because it is malfunctioning due to lack of oxygen (read more about that here).

If not believing but pretending to be the experience that the brain creates of an ‘I’ – or otherworldly images of it – nothing dies when the brain cannot generate thoughts to uphold this experience anymore. Thus it is as it always was and will be, namely one perpetual present.

Undoing the belief in separation does not entail awakening, stillness, I am that or other utopian ideas based on departing something. On the contrary, in these dream states, you are as numbed as those who repeat a specific thought, idea or word until everything they judge as false is excluded from their awareness, so they appear pure. However, since exclusion enhances the belief in separation, they are not pure but lonely persons desperately seeking love from others.

Nothing is the result of undoing the belief in separation because to produce a result, there must be more than one, and without separation, there is no more than that which is One.

Spiritual seekers are often so attached to their personality that they cannot adjust to the world’s ways. They try to solve feeling alienated by perceiving themselves as spiritual beings on a special mission to improve the world. But since being or changing something is a confirmation of separation, which is the cause of feeling alienated, this feeling is enhanced the more you believe in changing yourself or the world. Generally, so-called spiritual teachings promoted on the internet seem to be about growth and transformation. For example, you are promised to get pure by eating more vegan, thinking more positive, or exercising more self-control, so your body will be more potent and able to perform more, wherefore you feel more fulfilled. But since you always look for more, nothing is good enough.

Alexius’ Duality Hacks do not give you more of anything. On the contrary. They provide you with nothing. That is why the experiences created by the brain from nothing, so there seems to be something, eventually is discarded as real. Therefore, since there is nothing to confirm a world of duality, it does not seem to hide there never was or will be anything but non-duality.

Hoping for something, you fear not getting it, and if you get it, you fear losing it. But hoping for nothing, there is nothing to fear. That is why Alexius’ Duality Hacks do not promise you something.

Suppose you want to prolong your physical life or have sensational feelings of being more alive or fit or being transformed into something more spiritual. In that case, Alexius’ Duality Hacks are not for you because they have nothing to give but the bliss of emptiness (read more about that here).

In a world where there seems to be more than one, you get fat if you eat more than you need. Yet getting more oversized clothes do not solve the problem, which is the constant hunger for more.

Since it requires more than one to be somewhere, that which is One is nowhere, and since it is formless, thus endless, it is everywhere.

Alexius’ Duality Hacks are not on a mission against the world. Alexius appreciates the grand view and the sound of the waves where he lives. However, he does not consider it spiritual, but a dreamscape in which he feels good pretending to be what he is not. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Let us say you live in a cold clime but would like to move to an island you have seen on television where people wear slippers and shorts all year long. Replicating that where you live will not make you warmer. Nor will drinking a fancy cocktail, singing songs in a foreign language, or changing your name to something more exotic. Instead, it will make you look stupid.

This metaphor illustrates that chanting, hugging, dressing in special clothes, getting a new name, thinking positive, and whatnot do not transform you into someone better full of peace and happiness. Instead, it suppresses your feeling of inferiority.

Besides, there is not something better because there is no more than that which is One, and it takes more than one to be better.

In an attempt to hide feeling flawed, many use spiritual or psychological ideas not to see the moment as it is but instead perceive it as a lesson in becoming perfect. But since changing the moment is based on how it is, that is actually confirmed. And since every moment is the perfect moment as it is, nobody needs to wait for perfection. See hack #3.1 Every moment is the perfect moment.

Trying to change a moment into what you think it should be according to the concepts of positive thinking, for example, is a mental process. Since the body, therefore, is excluded from your experience, it gets stiff. But feeling entertained by the moment, regardless of whether it seems positive or negative, involves the body. Hence joy makes it flexible.

There is no sadness to escape in the formlessness of that which is One because it takes more than one to be sad. Besides, formlessness is endless, so there is nowhere to escape unless you believe to be someone in a world where there seems to be more than one.

Meditating or doing other things to get rid of what you perceive to be (or part of it) does the opposite. Since identifying with your personality is the reason for meditating, it is enhanced. Read more about meditation here. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Those chanting or repeating a mantra are like alcoholics and drug addicts trying to escape sadness or another unpleasant feeling by continuously consuming alcohol, chanting or repeating a mantra over and over until they doze off, assuming that sleeping, again and again, until they can sleep no more, will make their misery go away. In short, they mistake heaven for being asleep.

If you have been following a TV show, you may have noticed that the episodes often end in a troubled way, so you must watch more to feel relieved.

When not looking for relief, you are reminded that which is you is no different from that which is One because, in oneness, there are no troubles to be resolved in the end. Actually, there is no end nor beginning. It is one perpetual present.

When you stop what is causing self-hatred. namely the belief in a self, there is no hatred to let go of.

When you do not believe to be someone, there is no self at all. What is left is not a non-self or no-self. What is left is the nothingness from which you are conceived as someone. Hence there does not appear to be something which hides there never was or will be more than the formlessness of oneness. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

There is no way to survive in a world where there seems to be more than one without physically, mentally, emotionally and energetically repeatedly grabbing something– for example food, a point of view, love, money or power – from someone who appears to be outside of you. Consequently, everybody believing in being in such a world is afraid of not having enough. And if they get it, they are worried it will be taken from them – as they took it from somebody else. Read more about that here.

Many feel guilty about taking as much as possible for themselves at the expense of others. Some suppress this with the pleasure which comes from the acknowledgement you get when being incredibly successful at profiting from others. Others start looking for ways to become better, maybe by meditating, sharing and treating everybody as equals.

But since these solutions are based on the belief that you have done something wrong, the feeling of guilt is enhanced. However, if you pretend to do something wrong, you can grab as much as you want without feeling guilt, just like in a game like Monopoly. Read more about that in hack #1.3 Pretending to be someone definitive is liberation.

Those who show off as they have more than others like to send love and positive thoughts to those judged to have less, so their applause seems to hide the feeling of inferiority

But since you can only feel inferior if you believe there is more than one, and it takes more than one to send something to someone, the feeling of inferiority is enhanced by doing that. Read more about that here.

It takes a great effort to make an illusion like Santa Claus appear as he actually exists. The same applies to the illusion that it is possible to be and have more than the formlessness of oneness. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen

Most sense something is missing, so they want to be and have more. But you cannot get more because that which is you is no different from that which is One. It is formless, thus endless, so you have everything. Consequently, it is impossible to miss anything unless you believe in being what you are not.

One way to undo this belief is to pretend to be what and where you are because what you pretend, you are not. Hence nobody misses something, thus not needing more. Read about pretending that in hack #1.3 Pretending to be someone definitive is liberation.

The illusion of duality is a network of concepts that seems to attest to you being a real person who produces thoughts of your own in a world of duality. It will never finish because it does not exist.

There is no time in non-duality, so it took no time to explore the concept of duality. Therefore, at the same moment, the idea of duality was conceived, it was turned down as impossible. The world you believe to see can be compared to after images of the exploration. Read more about the world of afterimages in All experiences are equally unreal.

In other words, you stopped being in a world of duality a long time ago. Actually, you were never there, although it appears so in the afterimages you hold onto.
